  • Monroe comes off the bench again
Greg Monroe scored 12 points with nine rebounds, one assist and two steals in 33 minutes against the Wizards on Thursday.

Advice: It wasn't the greatest game for Monroe, who actually played more than his 30 minutes on Tuesday. He is unlikely to be dealt and should be a top 25-50 player going forward. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:00 pm
  • KD scores 23 points in win
Kevin Durant scored 23 points during a 121-95 win over the Pelicans on Thursday, adding three rebounds, six assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

Advice: He dropped back down to third in scoring in a very odd game. This was his first game without a free throw attempt since 2012 and only his sixth game ever. Durant is obviously fine as a top-two option in fantasy leagues. Excluding his injury on Nov. 10, KD has scored 20 or more in every game. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:30 pm
  • Serge Ibaka has an OK game
Serge Ibaka scored 18 points with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, three blocks and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes against the Pelicans on Thursday.

Advice: This isn't bad for a guy everyone in fantasy loves. Ibaka is still a buy-low player with hopes he can put it together. He is also well known for finishing on a high note after the break. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:26 pm
  • Anthony Davis hurts elbow on Thursday
Anthony Davis hurt his right elbow Thursday against the Thunder during a 121-95 loss, finishing with 23 points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals, two steals and one turnover.

Advice: He did not go to the locker room and it looks like it is a minor problem. The Pelicans were blown out tonight, so that makes it more likely Davis is OK. Expect him to be fine after the break and in the All-Star Game lineup. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:24 pm
  • Ryan Anderson scores just four
Ryan Anderson scored just four points with five rebounds and no turnovers in 21 minutes against the Thunder on Thursday.

Advice: Ouch. Anderson's name is popping up in the trade block and the Pelicans losing promotes his chances of being dealt. If you own him, it's not a bad idea to deal him at 85 cents on the dollar because he would likely lose value now that Tyreke Evans (knee) is out for the year. In other words, you want him to stay in NO. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:23 pm
  • Rumor: Raptors interested in Ryan Anderson?
The Raptors are reportedly interested in Ryan Anderson.

Advice: Toronto is reportedly looking to land a power forward at the deadline, although it's unclear just how available Ryno is in New Orleans. So far, Anderson has been linked to Detroit, Houston, Phoenix and Sacramento, and out of all those locations, Ryan's fantasy value would be best served in Phoenix. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:52 pm
  • Report: HOU actively shopping Dwight Howard
The Rockets have reportedly begun actively shopping Dwight Howard.

Advice: Howard is expected to opt out of his contract this summer, and the Rockets may not be willing to give him the max-deal that he desires, so GM Daryl Morey is now looking to see what he can get on the open market rather than potentially losing the eight-time All-Star for nothing. Thus far the Celtics have been the only team officially linked to D-12, but that's not to say that Boston is the only team interested in landing Dwight. For what it's worth, Dwight has said that he's not seeking a trade away from Houston, but it's also not his decision. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:25 am
  • Kris Humphries questionable for Thurs vs MIL
Kris Humphries (illness) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: It's worth noting that Humphries is questionable due to illness rather than the knee injury that kept him out for 17 games, but it sounds like he may miss yet another game on Thursday. With Drew Gooden (illness) also questionable, DeJuan Blair and Nene could be in line for some extra minutes against Milwaukee. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:49 am
  • Nets reach out to Hawks about Paul Millsap
The Nets have reached out to the Hawks about acquiring Paul Millsap, according to Anthony Puccio of Nets Daily.

Advice: While the Nets also inquired about Jeff Teague, the Millsap move seems curious as the Nets have been high on Thaddeus Young. We'll keep an eye on this situation as it develops, but the lowly Nets are surprisingly looking to be buyers are we approach the trade deadline. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:40 am
  • Dwight Howard and Harden meet w/management
Dwight Howard and James Harden met with head coach J.B. Bickerstaff and general manager Daryl Morey after Wednesday's loss to the Trail Blazers.

Advice: The meeting reportedly went well into the night after the Rockets dropped to the ninth spot in the Western Conference, though the participants didn't give many details of the meeting. "We've got to figure it out," Howard said. "We have to stop being so negative. We lose games and then we're negative. We can't be negative. There's no way we're going to succeed if all we do is stay negative and talk negative." It sounds like there may be changes coming in Houston, so we'll keep an eye out for the fantasy ramifications of any potential moves. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:44 am
  • Blake Griffin reportedly not on trade block
Blake Griffin (hand) will not be traded this season, according to NBA insider Ken Berger of CBS Sports.

Advice: There has been speculation that the Clippers might look to move Griffin after his altercation with a team staffer, but Berger reports that the team isn't going to blow things up and deal the big man this season. It looks like Griffin will at least finish the 2015-16 season with the Clips, but he's targeting a mid-March return and is a tough hold for fantasy owners without an IR spot. • Kevin Love doesn't expect to miss any time
Kevin Love (shoulder) doesn't expect to miss any time after suffering a left shoulder stinger on Wednesday.

Advice: Love injured his surgically-repaired left shoulder during Wednesday's win over the Lakers, but looks to have avoided a serious injury. "It felt like fire was running down my arm," Love said. "Just a stinger, and doctors decided we'll be cautious and use the break for it to feel better, but it actually feels OK right now." We'll keep an eye on Love over the All-Star Break, but it sounds like he'll be ready to go for the second half of the season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 6:11 am

  • Meyers Leonard scores 14 points off bench
Meyers Leonard shifted to the bench on Wednesday, where he contributed 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting, with eight rebounds and one block in 23 minutes.

Advice: Leonard earned a handful of starts during Noah Vonleh's absence with an ankle injury, but it was Moe Harkless taking the starting PF job tonight. This is a good indication of Leonard's upside as a source of scoring, 3-pointers and rebounds, but it's rarely been on display this season -- he should be unowned outside of deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:54 pm
  • Dwight Howard scores 28 points in loss
Dwight Howard scored 28 points with 13 rebounds, two assists and one block in 35 minutes against the Blazers on Wednesday.

Advice: He was very good against the sub-par bigs on the Blazers, but the Rockets were torched on defense. Howard looks healthy right now and should have a nice finish for his fantasy owners. He'll obviously have some bad free-throw woes. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:40 pm
  • Draymond Green quiet in easy win vs. Phoenix
Draymond Green had an unusually quiet night on Wednesday, posting nine points, six rebounds, three assists, one 3-pointer and one steal in 28 minutes vs. the Suns.

Advice: The Warriors took a 16-point lead into the fourth quarter which enabled them to rest their starters, hence the low playing time. Green continues to return first-round value in 8-cat and 9-cat leagues, despite the profusion of talent on the Warriors' roster -- since Jan. 1, Draymond and Nerlens Noel are the only top-20 values with a usage rate below 20 percent. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:35 pm
  • Harrison Barnes scores just eight
Harrison Barnes scored eight points with six rebounds, one assist, one block and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday.

Advice: He was really coming on, but slowed down tonight. Barnes is still someone fully capable of being a top-75 kind of player in standard leagues, so he's a hold. If he's sitting on the wire in your shallow league, it makes more sense to stash someone through the deadline with higher upside. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:21 pm
  • Tristan Thompson double-doubles vs. Lakers
Tristan Thompson notched 15 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and one block in 34 minutes on Wednesday, hitting 6-of-6 FGs and 3-of-3 FTs vs. the Lakers.

Advice: This marks TT's second double-double in February, but over those six games he's averaging a mere 4.6 points, 0.2 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.6 blocks. He's only worth a look if you need a rebounding and FG percentage specialist. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:01 pm
  • Andre Drummond gets 15 & 17 w/ five blocks
Andre Drummond piled up 15 points, 17 rebounds, five blocks, three steals and two blocks on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough to defeat the visiting Nuggets.

Advice: Drummond uncharacteristically shot just 7-of-22 from the field tonight, but his owners will be pleased to note that he made his only free throw attempt -- if only more coaches would refrain from hacking him. The Pistons' loss dropped them to 27-27 on the season, leaving them half a game behind the Hornets from the No. 8 seed. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:50 pm
  • Marcus Morris gets 19 points, six dimes
The short-handed Pistons fell to the Nuggets on Wednesday, as Marcus Morris pitched in 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting, six assists, two rebounds and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Morris has been very involved offensively of late, averaging 14.0 points, 1.4 triples, 4.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.0 steals in six February games. He continues to play enormous minutes, ranking seventh in the NBA at 36.2 per game, which has helped prop up his late-round appeal in standard formats. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:50 pm
  • Markieff Morris has scuffle with Goodwin
Markieff Morris had a scuffle with Archie Goodwin in the first half on Wednesday, finishing with 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and one turnover.

Advice: It wasn't a minor one and Morris had his hands on Goodwin's throat. The Suns did downplay it after the game. "That’s nothing," Morris said. "That’s part of being a leader, being a big brother." Morris defines leader differently than just about anyone, but Goodwin also had his back. "We family. It happens. I love him like a brother, he loves me. That’s all there is to say about it," Goodwin said. Lastly, coach Earl Watson added Goodwin and Morris used to live together, they're "the closest on the team" and that "the team is not split." Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:50 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver starts for Ilyasova (ill)
Anthony Tolliver started Wednesday's game in place of Ersan Ilyasova (illness), posting six points, two 3-pointers, seven rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in 35 minutes.

Advice: The veteran's main virtue is perimeter shooting, as he's averaging 1.4 triples on 36.7 percent shooting beyond the arc. He does almost nothing else to help fantasy owners, however, which limits him to being a deep-league specialist. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:49 pm
  • Kenneth Faried plays just 18 mins Wednesday
Kenneth Faried played only 18 minutes vs. Detroit on Wednesday, shooting 6-of-9 from the field to finish with 12 points, six rebounds and one assist.

Advice: Faried committed a few quick fouls in the second quarter which earned him a seat, and Mike Malone found success with a Nurkic/Gallinari frontcourt down the stretch. This was a fluky outcome and Faried's owners should expect him to resume playing 26-28 minutes vs. the Kings on Feb. 19. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:46 pm
  • Darrell Arthur (quad) doesn't play Wednesday
Darrell Arthur (quad) didn't leave the Nuggets' bench on Wednesday.

Advice: He was doubtful to play so this shouldn't have surprised fantasy owners, and his absence shifted more minutes to Jusuf Nurkic and Joffrey Lauvergne. Arthur has been listed as day-to-day, so he should be ready to go after getting more than a week of rest during the break. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:41 pm
    Injured

  • Anthony Davis scores 19 points vs. Jazz
Anthony Davis scored 19 points during a 100-96 win over the Jazz on Wednesday, adding four rebounds, five assists, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: This was a huge win for the Pelicans to give them some hope heading into the break. They still have a six-game hole with three other teams ahead of them for the eighth spot, so the Pelicans could be sellers at the deadline. Davis owners should be rooting for the team to make the playoffs to decrease the chances of a shutdown. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:20 pm
  • Jared Sullinger racks up 21/11/7 vs. Clippers
Jared Sullinger thrived in 30 minutes of action vs. the Clippers, posting 21 points on 10-of-15 shooting, 11 rebounds, seven assists and one steal without any turnovers.

Advice: Sullinger grabbed four of his boards on the offensive end and was nearly automatic from mid-range, a welcome sight for a guy whose offense has waxed and waned all season. He took advantage of extra playing time tonight with Kelly Olynyk (shoulder) getting hurt and Amir Johnson (back) limited, so owners shouldn't expect 30 minutes a night after the break. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:16 pm
  • Tyler Zeller logs six minutes in OT victory
Tyler Zeller played only six minutes off the Celtics' bench on Wednesday.

Advice: Zeller had a stretch of strong games to begin February, and Brad Stevens recently called him "a stable presence at the rim," but his disappearance tonight is typical of the Celtics' chaotic frontcourt rotation. If you picked him up while he was hot, this is your cue to cut him. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:13 pm
  • Jae Crowder posts all-around gem in 38 mins
Jae Crowder notched 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three 3-pointers, one steal and one block with zero turnovers in 38 minutes of action vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Crowder has been plagued by a high ankle sprain but refused to miss any games, and the All-Star break comes at an ideal time. He doesn't play again until Feb. 19, at which point he should resume playing at a top-40 level. If your trade deadline hasn't passed, consider floating a buy-low offer in case Crowder's owners are still flustered by his recent lull. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:13 pm
  • Amir Johnson benched to begin second half
Amir Johnson was benched to begin the second half vs. the Clippers on Wednesday, finishing a home victory scoreless with one assist and zero rebounds, steals or blocks in 13 minutes.

Advice: Johnson had a heat pack around his back and played only six minutes in the second half, which may be part of the reason he was benched. The veteran big man has started all but three games for Boston this season and we expect him to resume starting after the break, unless Brad Stevens suggests differently. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:12 pm
  • Derrick Favors scores 29 points in loss
Derrick Favors scored 29 points during a 100-96 loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday, adding six rebounds, two assists and one steal on 11-of-15 from the field.

Advice: This is a tough schedule loss for the Jazz after an overtime win in Dallas on Tuesday. Favors is really coming on again after his first game back as he gets worked into the offense. Favors has third-round value per game on the season and should be in that neighborhood going forward. If he hasn't already, maybe he can buy a mattress over the break. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:04 pm
  • Kevin Love (shoulder) won't miss games
Kevin Love (shoulder) said he won't miss any games due to his left shoulder contusion.

Advice: He said he only had a stinger, so it doesn't sound like anything is wrong structurally. Love should be close to 100 percent after the break, so his fantasy owners dodged a bullet here. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:01 pm

  • Kevin Love (left shoulder) out for game
Kevin Love suffered a left shoulder contusion and will not return on Wednesday.

Advice: The good news is that this report adds Love "most likely" will be fine. He is still likely to be re-evaluated to make sure he didn't aggravate his shoulder surgery from the summer. Love finished with eight points, six rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in 20 minutes. There's no need to make a speculative add right now. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:29 pm

  • Kevin Love (shoulder) goes to locker room
Kevin Love hurt his left shoulder and went to the locker room on Wednesday.

Advice: Not good. His arm was hanging like something was wrong and he was in pain. This is the same left shoulder that needed surgery last summer, so that adds extra concern. Tonight is a really bad night for shoulder injuries. We'll be looking for updates on Love. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:07 pm

  • Anthony Tolliver will start Wednesday vs. DEN
Anthony Tolliver will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game vs. the Nuggets with Ersan Illyasova (illness) unavailable.

Advice: Tolliver could be getting some heavy minutes tonight with Detroit so banged up, and with a favorable matchup against Denver, he's someone to consider as a punt play in DFS. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:00 pm
  • Bucks sticking with lineup change?
Greg Monroe and Michael Carter-Williams will come off the bench again on Thursday against the Wizards.

Advice: It worked out for Monroe with 29 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks in 30 minutes in a big win. He and Michael Carter-Williams will back up Miles Plumlee and O.J. Mayo. Plumlee and Mayo are not strong pickups with Mayo the more appealing add in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 12:24 pm
  • Report: Toronto interested in adding a PF
The Raptors are reportedly interested in adding a power forward at the deadline.

Advice: Names such as Kenneth Faried, Thaddeus Young and Markieff Morris have surfaced as potential targets for the Raptors, although it's worth noting that these rumors have not come directly from Toronto's side. Faried is not on the trading block according to Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post, and Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov has said that he'd like to keep Brook Lopez and Young together. Morris has some obvious attitude concerns, and could disrupt the chemistry in Toronto's locker room, so we're a bit skeptical that the Raptors make a deal at the deadline. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:36 am
  • Toronto's interest in Morris, Tucker unclear
The Raptors may not be all that interested in trading for Markieff Morris or P.J. Tucker.

Advice: The initial report that linked Morris and Tucker to the Raptors, while credible, did not come from Toronto's side and GM Masai Ujiri doesn't often make in-season trades. The Raptors also currently own the No. 2 seed out East with a record of 35-16, and Ujri may not want to mess with the team's chemistry by bringing on someone like Morris. For now, it doesn't seem all that likely that Toronto makes a major move at the deadline. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:01 am
  • Dwight Howard double-doubles vs. Warriors
Dwight Howard double-doubled vs. the Warriors on Tuesday with 16 points, 15 boards, two assists and one block in 34 minutes.

Advice: He shot an efficient 7-of-12 from the field, but it was a different story at the charity stripe where he finished just 2-of-10. Howard was shooting 54.9 percent from the line prior to Tuesday, so even this was really bad by his standards. To make matters worse, he turned the ball over four times and will now have to face the Blazers on the second night of a back-to-back set. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:09 pm
  • Draymond Green struggles with foul trouble
Draymond Green got into a little bit of foul trouble on Tuesday vs. the Rockets, scoring eight points with nine rebounds and five assists in 32 minutes.

Advice: Incredibly, this was just his fourth game of the season without a 3-pointer, block or steal. Regardless, Green leads the league in triple-doubles this year (10) and is still returning top-15 value on the season, so there's absolutely no reason to be concerned. He gets a cupcake macthup vs. the Suns on Thursday before he makes his first trip to the All-Star game in Toronto. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:40 pm
  • Harrison Barnes looks good vs. Rockets
Harrison Barnes scored 17 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter to help the Warriors defeat the Rockets on Tuesday.

Advice: He was 8-of-12 from the field and added seven boards, two assists and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes. Barnes didn't look the same when he returned from his ankle injury back in early January, but he's starting to find his groove again and is coming off a 19-point performance vs. the Thunder on Saturday with three treys. He needs to be in all lineups and his fantasy arrow is pointing up. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:25 pm
  • Derrick Favors playing well for Jazz
Derrick Favors had 16 points, eight rebounds, six assists and a steal in 35 minutes of Tuesday's overtime win against the Mavericks.

Advice: Favors was excruciating to own while he was out for a month with a sore back, but is rolling, averaging 13.4 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.0 blocks over his last five. He didn't have a block in either of his last two games, but went 5-6-4 in that department in his previous three games. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:31 pm
  • Jared Sullinger scores four points in loss
Jared Sullinger scored just four points on 2-of-8 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Bucks.

Advice: He did save his line with 11 boards and five assists, but he played just 20 minutes. The Celtics are still using five bigs in their rotation, so hopefully they make a move at the deadline to clear up that logjam. Despite the low minutes, Sully is still worth owning in most leagues until we see what happens at the Feb. 18 deadline. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:00 pm
  • Jae Crowder scores 18 points w/ three treys
Jae Crowder (ankle) looked great on Tuesday vs. the Bucks, scoring 18 points with five boards, two assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: Coach Brad Stevens admitted that Crowder's ankle is still bothering him, but he's incredibly tough and it's safe to say that he isn't interested in missing any time. The All-Star break should help him heal up, so his owners should be feeling very confident. He finished 7-of-12 from the field and didn't turn the ball over. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:36 pm
  • Kris Humphries plays four minutes in return
Kris Humphries returned from a knee injury and played four scoreless minutes on Tuesday.

Advice: He's been out for more than a month and will be worked back into action slowly. Nothing to see here, folks. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:14 pm
  • Greg Monroe thrives off bench, scores 29
Greg Monroe came off the bench in a win over the Celtics on Tuesday, but he thrived with a season-high 29 points, 12 boards, three assists, one steal and two blocks in 30 minutes.

Advice: The Bucks had lost their five previous games, so coach Jason Kidd changed his lineup looking for a spark. "I talked to [Monroe] after practice and for [Monroe], it's about the team," Kidd said. "I think he's all for the team and he understands what we're trying to do." Kidd added that Monroe's minutes would remain intact and he closed out the game tonight, so his owners really shouldn't be too concerned. Starting center Miles Plumlee played just 18 minutes. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:34 pm
  • Kris Humphries (knee) available to play Tues
Kris Humphries (knee) will be available to play Tuesday vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Humphries will more than likely be eased back into things after spending over a month on the sidelines, and with averages of just 6.7 points and 4.2 boards on the year, Kris isn't worth owning in any setting. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:58 pm
  • Greg Monroe will come off the bench Tuesday
Greg Monroe will come off the bench behind Miles Plumlee for Tuesday's game vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Well this is about the most Jason Kidd move of all time. Kidd did say that Monroe will see just as many minutes as he usually does, "if not more," coming off the bench so owners shouldn't hesitate to fire him up for tonight's matchup with the Celtics. Plumlee isn't much of a stat sheet stuffer, so owners in most leagues can use a wait-and-see approach with the four-year veteran. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:44 pm
  • Jae Crowder (ankle) will play Tuesday vs. MIL
Jae Crowder (ankle) will play Tuesday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: "This is the most opportunity he's ever gotten," said Brad Stevens on Crowder. "He's a versatile player." He'll continue to fight through the pain, and is safe to activate in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:40 pm
  • Clippers suspend Blake Griffin for four games
The Clippers have suspended Blake Griffin (hand) for four games without pay for punching the team's assistant equipment manager, Mathias Testi.

Advice: That means that Blake will be required to miss four games once he's cleared to return to the court, which will be around mid-March, giving him a maximum of 17 games played in an ideal scenario. As previously stated, those fighting for a playoff spot in leagues without an IR-slot need to consider cutting Griffin. Wes Johnson has been putting up mid-round value in Blake's absence, with averages of 9.5 points, 2.0 three-pointers, 2.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game, so he's worth a look in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:14 pm

  • Report: CLE unlikely to trade Kevin Love
The Cavs are reportedly unlikely to trade away Kevin Love at the deadline.

Advice: Cleveland management would reportedly like to see how Love fits into the Cavs' new system before making a major change, so while he could be dealt during the offseason, a trade at the deadline seems like an unlikely scenario for Love. He's been a third-round guy on the year with averages of 15.8 points, 10.4 boards, 2.4 assists, 2.1 three-pointers and 1.9 turnovers per game. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:01 pm

  • Kris Humphries practices again on Tuesday
Kris Humphries (knee) practiced for the second consecutive day on Tuesday.

Advice: We're considering Humphries questionable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, but all signs are pointing to him being available. With Nene on a minutes limit, Hump would be fighting for minutes with Drew Gooden and DeJuan Blair if active, though none would be worth a start in standard fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:32 am
  • Jae Crowder dealing with high-ankle sprain
Jae Crowder (ankle) said he's dealing with a high-ankle sprain.

Advice: While Crowder's ankle is obviously giving him trouble, he said he's committed to playing through the injury. "It's a high ankle sprain," he said on Tuesday. "It's mind over matter. I'm trying to suck it up; do my job." Crowder has been a revelation for his owners in season-long leagues and should continue to be started, but he's a risky play in DFS as long as he's dealing with his injury. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:25 am
  • Kevin Durant scores 32 points in win vs. PHX
Kevin Durant scored a game-high 32 points during a 122-106 win over the Suns on Monday, adding six rebounds, three assists, one steal, two blocks and five 3-pointers.

Advice: He scored 25 in the second half and is a scoring machine in his last seven, averaging 34.4 points, 9.9 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.3 blocks, 0.9 steals and 3.3 treys on 50.3 percent from the field, 45.1 percent from deep and 92.8 percent from the line. KD is getting close to a 50/40/90 year again at 50.6 percent from the field, 39.4 percent from deep and 89.5 percent from the line. He's created some separation as fantasy's No. 2 player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:19 pm
  • Markieff Morris scores 23 points
Markieff Morris scored 23 points during a 122-106 loss to the Thunder on Monday with seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block and six turnovers.

Advice: Before the game, Kevin Durant said Markieff is "playing at an All-Star level right now." Morris is playing hard and he's transformed into a different player under coach Earl Watson. Morris likely boosted his trade value and the Suns may be able to get something for him. He should be owned, but a trade will hurt his value a lot. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:08 pm
  • Meyers Leonard plays 13 minutes
Meyers Leonard scored three points with two rebounds and one turnover in 13 minutes against the Grizzlies on Monday.

Advice: He started the scoring with a 3-pointer tonight, but that was it after that. Leonard was awesome against the Grizzlies in the postseason last year, but it just isn't happening for the Legend this year. He is only a hold in deep leagues right now. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:40 pm
  • Anthony Davis scores 27 points in win
Anthony Davis scored a game-high 27 points in a win over the Wolves on Monday, adding eight boards, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

Advice: The Pelicans won this one comfortably, so Davis was able to get some valuable rest in the fourth quarter. New Orleans snapped a four-game losing streak tonight, but they still have seven more losses than the eighth seed in the West (Utah). If the Pelicans don't turn their season around, the shut-down risk for Davis will grow. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:57 pm
  • Ryan Anderson scores 26 w/ three treys
Ryan Anderson scored 26 points on 9-of-17 shooting in Monday's 116-102 win over the Wolves.

Advice: The forward added three boards, one block and one steal in 31 minutes, helping the Pelicans snap a four-game losing skid. Anderson had a six-point dud on 2-of-11 shooting on Saturday vs. the Cavaliers, so it was nice to see him get back on track. With the trade deadline just a little more than a week away (Feb. 18), expect the trade talking surrounding Anderson to heat up. The Pelicans play two more times this week. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:51 pm
  • Andre Drummond double-doubles in loss
Andre Drummond double-doubled vs. the Raptors on Monday with 12 points, 13 boards, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.

Advice: He missed practice on Sunday after taking a hard fall in Saturday's game, but he didn't look limited at all tonight and recorded his sixth double-double in a row. He did shoot just 3-of-8 from the free throw line, but his owners have likely accepted the fact that he will struggle from there for the remainder of the season. His 3-pointer was a buzzer beater from 71 feet at the end of the third quarter which is the longest made shot of the year. Check it out in the link below. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:45 pm
  • Marcus Morris scores 14 with full line
Marcus Morris scored 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting on Monday vs. the Raptors.

Advice: He has attempted seven or fewer shots just five times this season, but Darrun Hilliard took away some of his shots tonight. Morris added six assists, five boards, one block, three steals and two treys to give himself a full stat line, so obviously his owners didn't mind the low FGAs. He has been inconsistent at times, but he's still holding low-end value in standard leagues over the course of the season. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:36 pm
  • Kenneth Faried scores 22 w/ 13 boards
Kenneth Faried scored 22 points with 13 boards, two assists and one block in 29 minutes vs. the Nets on Monday.

Advice: He would've had the game-winning layup off an impressive drive, but Joe Johnson banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the Nets. Faried had a couple of nasty fouls tonight, but he looked great down the stretch and closed out the game beside Danilo Gallinari in the frontcourt. A recent report by the Denver Post said it would take a "too good to be true" offer to convince the Nuggets to part ways with the Manimal at the deadline, so his value should be safe. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:47 pm
  • Kevin Love returns, scores 11 points
Kevin Love scored 11 points with six rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes against the Kings on Monday.

Advice: It's his first game back after missing one game due to a quad bruise. Love should be better his next time out and be an early-round guy. All that Love trade talk has subsided a bit. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:02 pm

  • Meyers Leonard, Mason Plumlee to start
Meyers Leonard will start next to Mason Plumlee on Monday vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: The Grizzlies start a frontcourt featuring Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol, so the Blazers need Leonard's size tonight. Leonard has been inconsistent all season, so he's not a great add in most leagues. The move will send Moe Harkless to the bench. Rotoworld.com Monday, 5:08 pm
  • Darrell Arthur (quad) ruled out Monday
Darrell Arthur (quad) will not play on Monday vs. the Nets.

Advice: In addition to Monday's game, Arthur is also expected to sit out on Wednesday vs. the Pistons. Kenneth Faried should be busy on Monday, while Danilo Gallinari should spend a lot of time at the four as well. Arthur belongs on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:19 pm

  • Andre Drummond missed practice, good to go
Andre Drummond missed practice on Sunday and is good to go on Monday against the Raptors.

Advice: He had a bad fall on Saturday, but there is no concern of this affecting Drummond's playing time. Just keep this in mind if you want to use him in DFS tonight. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:05 pm
  • Kevin Love (quad) will play against the Kings
Kevin Love (quad) will play against the Kings on Monday.

Advice: He was probable and was never in jeopardy of missing this game after missing Saturday. HIs return will push Timofey Mozgov back to the bench while Tristan Thompson shouldn't play as much as Saturday. Start Love like you normally would in a favorable matchup. Rotoworld.com Monday, 2:24 pm

  • Kris Humphries (knee) could play Tuesday
Kris Humphries (knee) practiced on Monday, and there is a "good chance" he plays on Tuesday vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Humphries' last time on the floor was January 3. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:52 am
  • Darrell Arthur (quad) questionable on Monday
Darrell Arthur (quad) is questionable for Monday's game vs. Brooklyn.

Advice: Denver's big men are healthy and the Nuggets are occasionally going small with Will Barton and Danilo Gallinari, so between that and Arthur's consistent health issues, his fantasy appeal is currently nonexistent. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:39 am

  • Kevin Love (thigh) probable to play on Monday
Kevin Love (quad) is probable to play on Monday vs. the Kings.

Advice: Assuming Love plays, he'll wind up missing just a single game with the quad injury. His return will push Timofey Mozgov back to the bench where he belongs, while Tristan Thompson will slide back over and assume starting center responsibilities. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:17 am

  • Stevens called Zeller stable presence at rim
Coach Brad Stevens called Tyler Zeller a "stable presence at the rim."

Advice: "Tyler’s always going to run the floor really hard and he’s always going to roll to the rim really hard," Stevens said. "So you’ve got a stable presence at the rim. We were getting some good things from our shooters, so to have a guy that’s going to be at the rim opens up some opportunities for the guys on the perimeter." Over his last four games, Zeller is averaging 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks, but he's played more than 25 minutes just once during that span. The Celtics have a ton of options in the frontcourt, making Zeller a tough player to rely on in standard formats. Rotoworld.com Monday, 6:06 am
  • Jared Sullinger ties season high w/ 21 points
Jared Sullinger tied his season high on Sunday with 21 points, making 10-of-13 shots with six rebounds, three steals and one assist in just 23 minutes of action.

Advice: Sullinger hadn't scored more than 18 points since Nov. 6, as his shot has abandoned him for long stretches this season -- he's shooting just 41.9 percent overall. This mini-eruption came vs. a Kings team that ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency and first in pace, at 102.1 possessions per game, so it was an ideal matchup for Sullinger. Consistent playing time is the biggest issue for his fantasy value, and that's unlikely to change after one efficient performance. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:44 pm
  • Tyler Zeller scores season-high 17 pts vs SAC
Tyler Zeller scored a season-high 17 points vs. Sacramento on Sunday, sinking 6-of-8 FGs and 5-of-5 FTs with seven rebounds, two blocks and one assist.

Advice: Zeller did his damage in just 22 minutes and he's demanding a share of frontcourt minutes -- over his past four games he's averaging 13.8 points on 68.6 percent shooting, to go along with 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 blocks. He's playing just 20.8 minutes during that span, however, and most owners should leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:40 pm
  • Paul Millsap scores 14 points with two steals
Paul Millsap scored 14 points on 5-of-14 shooting Sunday, to go with nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks, one 3-pointer and zero turnovers through 34 minutes of work.

Advice: Millsap struggled with his shot today, but he shouldn't have any trouble bouncing back with a repeat matchup against the Magic on Monday. He's been a steady first-round stud on the year, and has yet to miss a game for the Hawks. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 12:48 pm
  • Darrell Arthur (quad) ruled out Sunday
Darrell Arthur (quad) will not play on Sunday vs. the Knicks.

Advice: Arthur just can't catch a break and hasn't been able to stay healthy this season. Kenneth Faried is healthy, so Arthur wouldn't have played much anyways. Expect Danilo Gallinari to play a lot of four against the Knicks as well. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:40 am
    Injured

  • Jae Crowder (ankle) will play on Sunday
Jae Crowder (ankle) will play on Sunday vs. the Kings.

Advice: He didn't look right on Friday vs. the Cavs, scoring just three points on 1-of-9 shooting with seven boards, two assists and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes. However, Crowder is as tough as they come and doesn't want to take any time off, so he shouldn't have any restrictions vs. the Kings. He's a risky play in DFS, but owners in season-long leagues should activate him. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:24 am
  • Report: Kenneth Faried is not on the trade block
According to the Denver Post, Kenneth Faried is not officially on the trade block.

Advice: The Manimal has plenty of suitors and his value is very high around the league, but the Denver Post said that it would take a "too good to be true" offer to convince the Nuggets to part ways with the athletic forward. It's still unclear if the Nuggets will be buyers or sellers at the trade deadline, but nothing is imminent by any means. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 7:10 am
  • Markieff Morris scores 17 w/ eight dimes
Markieff Morris scored 17 points with seven boards, eight assists, one steal, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: His stat line was fantastic, but the only negative is that he shot just 6-of-22 from the field because the Suns weren't generating any easy looks. The Suns have been using Morris as the focal point of their offense, but to be clear they are more than likely just showcasing him for a trade. Regardless, he needs to be owned in all leagues right now with averages of 16.0 points, 6.4 boards, 4.4 assists, 1.2 blocks, 1.6 steals and 0.8 3-pointers over his last five games. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:08 pm
  • Jae Crowder returned to action on Friday February 5. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:55 pm
  • Harrison Barnes scored 19 points
Harrison Barnes scored 19 points with four rebounds and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: Harry B is finally coming around. In his last five, he averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 boards, 1.2 assists and 1.8 treys. Barnes still hasn't climbed into the must-start guy, but the efficiency is coming and he is still a low-end hold. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:38 pm
  • Draymond Green scores nine with 14 boards
Draymond Green scored nine points with 14 rebounds and six assists against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: He was the unsung hero -- he always seems like the unsung hero. Green had the perfect microcosm of his style late in the game with a huge offensive board and eventually hitting Stephen Curry for a layup after killing the 24-second clock. He may have only scored nine points, but the Warriors probably would've lost without him. He's a fantasy stud, as well. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:35 pm
  • Kevin Durant's 40 points are not enough
Kevin Durant scored 40 points with 14 rebounds, five assists, one steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 40 minutes against the Warriors during a 116-108 loss on Saturday.

Advice: The Thunder clawed back from an 18-point deficit to make this a game, but it just wasn't enough. As for KD, it's his third 40-point game on the year and he is tearing it up on offense right now. In his last 10, Durant averaged 32.1 points, 9.3 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.2 blocks, 1.0 steals and 2.6 treys. He is up to 27.7 points per game and trails James Harden for second by just 0.1 points per game. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:33 pm
  • Serge Ibaka scores eight with no blocks
Serge Ibaka scored eight points with three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes against the Warriors on Saturday.

Advice: This is pretty close to rock bottom for Serge. He's seen his usage rate really fall off and he isn't blocking shots like he usually does. His body of work suggests he'll get it turned around, so Ibaka is still a buy-low player. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:17 pm
  • Tristan Thompson doesn't score in win
Tristan Thompson did not score with 15 rebounds and one assist in 33 minutes against the Pelicans on Saturday.

Advice: It's not a surprise Thompson came up empty on offense. He had a usage rate barely above six when he's on the court next to LeBron James and Kyrie Irving while Kevin Love (quad) is off. Although, not scoring with seven offensive rebounds is pretty rare. In fact, Thompson is the first player to grab at least seven O-boards and not score since Gustavo Ayon in 2013. Thompson isn't a great add. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:55 pm
  • Anthony Davis scores 24 points in loss
Anthony Davis scored 24 points during a 99-84 loss to the Cavs on Saturday with 11 rebounds and two blocks in 40 minutes.

Advice: This might have been the first time in a while Davis didn't have any concerns of injury. Since returning from his concussion, Davis averaged 26.8 points, 11.4 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.0 blocks, 1.2 steals and 0.4 treys in those five. The bad news is that the Pelicans lost again and are now seven games behind the Jazz. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:47 pm
  • Anthony Tolliver scores 17 points in loss
Anthony Tolliver scored 17 points with four rebounds, one assist, three steals and five 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Pacers on Saturday.

Advice: He took some minutes away from Ersan Ilyasova tonight because Ilyasova couldn't connect on anything. Tolliver could potentially benefit from the Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (groin) injury because Marcus Morris can play all small forward, but he'll need to do it again after not playing more than 19 minutes in any of his previous three games. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:03 pm
  • Meyers Leonard scores three points
Meyers Leonard played just 15 minutes against the Rockets on Saturday with three points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and four turnovers.

Advice: This comes with Allen Crabbe (illness) and Noah Vonleh (ankle) out. He even made his teammate Gerald Henderson mad for missing a read on a play. Leonard is not the same player he was last year, so even the biggest Legend backers have to be off that bandwagon for this season. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:16 pm
  • Dwight Howard scores 17 in 41 minutes
Dwight Howard played 41 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday with 17 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and four steals.

Advice: The minutes are a good sign for Dwight and his minutes cap is obviously gone. Howard even played in garbage time tonight, so that's a ringing endorsement of his current health. He gets a fun matchup against the Warriors on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:02 pm
  • Kevin Love (quad) will not play on Saturday
Kevin Love (quad) will not play on Saturday against the Pelicans.

Advice: It's a quad contusion from Friday night, which he was unable to return from in the loss. With Love out, the Cavs will likely be giving more minutes to Tristan Thompson and Timofey Mozgov. Interestingly, Kyrie Irving's usage rate is 31.6 without Love and with LeBron James, so he has a nice chance tonight. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:51 pm

  • Kris Humphries out again on Saturday
Kris Humphries (knee) will not play on Saturday against the Hornets.

Advice: He doesn't have a timetable to return and chances are Humphries is out until the break. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 2:38 pm
  • Report: LAC are not shopping Blake Griffin
According to Dan Woike of the Orange County Register, the Clippers are not shopping Blake Griffin.

Advice: Teams have inquired about Griffin, but the Clippers still believe that they can win this season and they aren't interested in making a move. There were reports on Friday that the Clippers had discussions with Denver and Philly, but the talks obviously never made it out of the rumor stage. Expect Griffin to remain with the Clippers. • Derrick Favors double-doubles with five block
Derrick Favors scored 11 points with 15 rebounds, one assist, two steals and five blocks in 32 minutes against the Bucks on Friday.

Advice: Teammate Joe Ingles does commercials for mattresses, so one would think every mattress store around Salt Lake City would be calling Favors' agent. The big man is changing his mattress to fix his back problems and he's been rolling with second-round value in his last four. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:26 pm
  • Tristan Thompson grabs 10 boards w/ 2 swats
Tristan Thompson hauled in 10 rebounds through 32 minutes of action on Friday, to go with three points, two blocks and one steal.

Advice: Kevin Love did go down with a thigh bruise in this one, and if he's forced to miss any time, Thompson is going to get all the run he can handle Saturday vs. the Pelicans. However, with averages of 7.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 0.4 blocks on the year, Tristan is nothing more than a low-end asset in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:00 pm
  • Tyler Zeller scores 16 points in 20 minutes
Tyler Zeller scored 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting Friday, to go with four boards, one assist and three turnovers through 20 minutes of action.

Advice: Zeller's playing time has been sporadic throughout the season, but he's been a more consistent part of the rotation over the past three averaging 12.7 points, 6.3 boards and 1.0 block in 20.0 minutes per outing. He's more of a speculative add in really deep leagues, but he could also fall out of the rotation at a moments notice, so don't cut anyone with long-term value to nab him. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:26 pm
  • Jae Crowder hits just 1-of-9 shots in 32 mins
Jae Crowder was clearly bothered by his sore right ankle during Friday's win over the Cavs, hitting just 1-of-9 shots on his way to three points, seven boards, two assists and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

Advice: Crowder said that he felt like he was playing on one leg, and that he probably would have sat out if the Celtics were playing a different team. He did play some nice defense, but he didn't have any lift on his jumper, and his three points didn't come until the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. It wouldn't be surprising to see him sit out Sunday's game vs. Sacramento, which would likely result in Evan Turner returning to the starting lineup. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:54 pm
  • Jared Sullinger scores 12 points w/ 3 blocks
Jared Sullinger scored 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting Friday, with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, three blocks and two turnovers in 24 minutes.

Advice: The players in Boston's frontcourt have been annoying to own this season, and while Sully has had his moments, he's been putting up just thirteenth-round value over the past month in standard 9-cat leagues. Amir Johnson played just 14 minutes tonight, on his way to six points, six rebounds and an assist, while Kelly Olynyk contributed a meager two points, one steal and one turnover in his 12 minutes off the bench. Sullinger is more of a stash to hope things improve after the trade deadline. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:46 pm
  • Kevin Love (thigh) hopeful to play Saturday
Kevin Love (left thigh) said that he's hopeful to play Saturday vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Love was able to limp out of the arena under his own power, and said he was "okay," and owners can expect to get another update on Saturday. If Love is unable to play tomorrow, Tristan Thompson would get all the run he can handle, with Kyrie Irving doing a bit more on offense. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:10 pm

  • Paul Millsap scores 24 points in win
Paul Millsap scored 24 points with two rebounds, two steals, four blocks and three 3-pointers against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: This is a typical Millsap game and he just continues to fill it up. Millsap is a top-10 player in 2016 and has the same distinction on the season. He hasn't missed a game and just needs to stay healthy. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:45 pm
  • Darrell Arthur (quad) out for Friday vs. CHI
Darrell Arthur (quad) will not play against the Bulls on Friday.

Advice: He is hurt quite often and could miss more games. That means we should see some more Danilo Gallinari at the four, which means more run for Will Barton and Gary Harris. Arthur can be ignored in most leagues while he's hurt. Rotoworld.com Friday, 4:23 pm

  • Blake Griffin had second procedure on hand
Blake Griffin (hand) underwent a second procedure this week on his broken right hand, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.

Advice: According to Shelburne, "the procedure was a part of the original surgery last week, so sources said the 4-6 week timeframe for his return remains unchanged." This has been a very odd situation for Blake and he's going to receive some additional punishment once he's back. Wes Johnson has been the best pickup and could hold nice value this month. Additionally, enjoy the Blake trade rumors. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:37 pm

  • Jae Crowder will play, has ankle taped
Jae Crowder (ankle) will play against the Cavs and had his ankle taped.

Advice: Crowder said his ankle is "stiff as hell" for the game. He might be a little limited as far as performance goes against LeBron James, but there has been no talk of his minutes being limited tonight. Start him like you normally would in standard leagues. It'll be interesting to see how LeBron attacks Crowder tonight. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:34 pm
  • Jae Crowder (ankle) still on track to play
Jae Crowder (ankle) is still on track to play against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: He is dealing with swelling and missed shootaround, so he might not be at 100 percent against LeBron James. Crowder is fine to start in season-long leagues, but he's a very risky play in DFS tonight. He's been a fantasy steal. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:05 pm
  • Report: PHI showing interest in Blake Griffin
The 76ers had discussions with the Clippers about Blake Griffin, according to Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio.

Advice: OK. First and foremost, a discussion about a trade doesn't seem like much. Secondly, the 76ers dealing for Griffin would be one of the most shocking developments of all time. For now, it's safe to assume this won't happen. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:10 pm

  • Kris Humphries (knee) will not play
Kris Humphries (knee) will not play on Friday vs. the 76ers.

  • LAC had talks with DEN about Blake Griffin?
The Clippers reportedly discussed a Blake Griffin trade with the Nuggets according to Mitch Lawrence of Sirius XM Radio.

Advice: It's not clear what pieces were involved in the reported talks, but it would likely take a massive offer from the Nuggets to get the ball rolling. Nothing is imminent by any means, so take this report with a grain of salt until we hear something more concrete. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:09 am

  • Jae Crowder (ankle) is a game-time call
Jae Crowder (ankle) is a game-time call on Friday vs. the Cavaliers.

Advice: He sprained his ankle on Wednesday vs. the Pistons, but he did say that he is expecting to play. Regardless, Crowder will not go through shootaround and is a true game-time call, so his owners should have a backup plan ready just in case. If Crowder sits, expect Evan Turner and Marcus Smart to see an uptick in minutes. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:05 am
  • Rockets gauging interest in Dwight Howard?
According to Yahoo Sports, the Rockets have been gauging interest in Dwight Howard.

Advice: The Celtics were one of the teams involved, but those talks have cooled because they don't want to part with any of their key assets or picks. The Rockets have downplayed the rumors, but if they didn't then that would reduce their leverage in trade talks. Howard is 30 years old with back and knee concerns, so several teams around the league would be hesitant to take a chance on him, especially considering he will be a free agent this summer. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:58 am
  • Meyers Leonard scored nine points
Meyers Leonard scored nine points with five rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday.

Advice: The 7'1" big has one block and one steal combined since Jan. 13. He's not rebounding and he's not shooting the ball well, so it's almost impossible to defend him as a hold right now in standard leagues. Noah Vonleh (ankle) shouldn't be out long. He barely has top-200 value in 2016. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:17 pm
  • Anthony Davis scores 39 in loss to Lakers
Anthony Davis scored 39 points with 11 rebounds, one steal and one block in 39 minutes against the Lakers during a 99-96 loss on Thursday.

Advice: This one will sting a bit. The Pelicans are cold again with a three-game losing streak. Davis did look like he hurt his hand a bit, but he was fine. His fantasy owners have to be rooting for wins to lower the chances of a shutdown later this year. At least he's filling it up again. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:58 pm
  • Ryan Anderson scores 17 points vs. LA
Ryan Anderson scored 17 points with four rebounds and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Lakers on Thursday.

Advice: The shots will be there for Anderson, especially with Tyreke Evans (knee) without a timetable. He'll likely flirt with top-50 value going forward as one of the top-10 in treys. Despite coming off the bench, a trade might hurt his value. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:48 pm
  • Dwight Howard scores 5, doesn't get ejected
Dwight Howard scored five points with 16 rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in 33 minutes against the Suns.

Advice: Hey, at least he didn't get ejected tonight. Howard's minutes were solid at 33, but Alex Len played nice defense on him. He'll be fine as long as he avoids getting more technical fouls. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:08 pm
  • Markieff Morris cools off in loss
Markieff Morris made 4-of-12 for 14 points against the Rockets on Thursday with five rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Advice: The offense went through him quite a bit tonight, but the efficiency wasn't there like it was in his 30-point explosion. Morris was even teaching the younger guys tonight, which didn't happen often under Jeff Hornacek. A trade will kill his value, but he's worth owning as long as he's starting. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:55 pm
  • Andre Drummond has bad fall, is OK
Andre Drummond scored 17 points with 13 rebounds, one steal and one steal in 32 minutes against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: He did suffer a fall on his hip in this game, but it didn't affect his playing time. The Knicks did do a Hack-A-Dre briefly in this game and that also didn't hurt his playing time either. He put up his 42nd double-double of the season and will be in the dunk contest next week. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:11 pm
  • Meyers Leonard listed as the starter
Meyers Leonard is listed as the starter on Thursday against the Raptors for Noah Vonleh (ankle).

Advice: This is pretty useless info because coach Terry Stotts make changes all the time. We'll pass along anything additional as it comes along. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:07 pm
  • Clippers could punish Blake?
Owner Steve Ballmer said "there needs to be consequences" for Blake Griffin's incident last week.

Advice: "It's the right thing to do," Ballmer said. The league is also looking at a punishment for Blake, so he might get at least a game or two. He is out for this month and could make it back for next month. Wes Johnson has been the best pickup by far. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:12 pm

  • Report: Rockets intend to keep Dwight Howard
The Rockets reportedly have no intention of trading away Dwight Howard.

Advice: Howard's name has been popping up in the rumor mill as of late, but for now, it would appear that the trade speculation involving big D-12 is nothing more than rumors. Howard would prefer to remain in Houston, and one source of ESPN insists that the Rockets have yet to have any "meaningful conversations" regarding Dwight. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:19 pm
  • Report: Bucks have made Greg Monroe available
The Bucks have reportedly made Greg Monroe available "at the right price."

Advice: The Bucks have been underperforming this season sitting on a 20-31 record, and while Monroe has been putting up solid numbers during his first year in Milwaukee, his defense hasn't been very good at all. "From what I’m hearing is they (the Bucks) are willing to trade anybody not named [Jabari] Parker, [Giannis] Antetokounmpo or [Kris] Middleton,’’ an NBA executive said. "I even heard they'd listen [to offers] for Parker and Middleton, but it would have to be some crazy offer." Monroe's fantasy value should be safe regardless of what jersey he's wearing. • Dwight Howard shoots down trade rumors
Dwight Howard attempted to shoot down trade rumors involving the Celtics.

Advice: There had been reports that the Celtics were interested in acquiring Howard's services, but D-12 did his best to downplay those rumors. "There's always going into be rumors and speculation," Howard said. "I don't want to pay attention to it. I didn't say it. What can I do? There's nothing I can say." Howard can opt-out of his contract after the season, so there is some incentive for the Rockets to explore his trade value. For now, fantasy owners should continue to start Howard as long as he's healthy as he's averaging 14.4 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and 1.0 steals on 60.8 percent shooting from the field. • Anthony Davis drops 28 with 4 steals & blocks
Anthony Davis scored 28 points with 10 rebounds, four assists, four steals and four blocks during a 110-97 loss to the Spurs on Wednesday.

Advice: Kevin Durant exploded and Stephen Curry dropped 51, so this near 5x5 will probably not get much attention. He is the only player in the last 20 seasons to drop two lines of at least 25 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and four steals in his career (Dec. 2, 2014). Stay healthy, big fella. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:49 pm
  • Derrick Favors drops 16-11-6 in win
Derrick Favors had 16 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks on 7-of-14 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Nuggets.

Advice: He's played 30-plus minutes in each of his last three games, and it looks like he's back and good to go. That was a long month that he was listed as day-to-day with his back injury, so let's just quietly hope he stays healthy the rest of the way. He's averaging 15.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in his five games since returning from the injury. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:41 pm
  • Not Nice: Durant hits game winner, scores 37
Kevin Durant hit 27-foot game-winner during a 117-114 victory over the Magic on Wednesday, finishing with 37 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals, three blocks and six 3-pointers.

Advice: KD is not nice. He gave Tobias Harris a dirty crossover to get free for the shot with 0.5 seconds left (video in link below). Durant is rolling in his last five, averaging 33.8 points, 9.8 boards, 4.4 assists, 1.0 blocks, 0.8 steals and 3.0 treys on 50.5 percent from the field and 90.2 percent from the line. Yes, teams have interest in signing him this offseason. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:11 pm
  • Serge Ibaka blocks six shots, scores nine
Serge Ibaka blocked six shots against the Magic on Wednesday with nine points, seven rebounds, one assist and one turnover in 36 minutes.

Advice: He had a great block on Victor Oladipo to deny the Magic from a lead before Kevin Durant hit a game-winning trey. Ibaka has not been very good lately and has only posted sixth-round value in 2016. He busted loose last year late in the season before an injury and has a very high floor, so he could improve later this year. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:56 pm
  • Draymond Green posts 10th trip-dub of year
Draymond Green logged his 10th triple-double of the season during a win over the Wizards on Wednesday, scoring 12 points with 10 rebounds, 12 assists, one steal and five blocks.

Advice: That's back-to-back triple-doubles for Green and he managed to keep his lead over Russell Westbrook, who dropped his eighth triple-double on the season tonight. Green's blocks had also dropped in each full month this year, so he got a nice start there in February. He's one of a kind. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:04 pm
  • Tyler Zeller plays 14 minutes on Wednesday
Tyler Zeller, who went off for his best game of the season on Tuesday, played just 14 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: He still managed to put up six points, five rebounds, four assists, a steal and three blocks despite the limited minutes. He's played well in two straight games, but minutes are still a big concern and he'll need a bigger role going forward if he's going to warrant a fantasy pickup. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:00 pm
  • Jared Sullinger plays well in just 18 minutes
Jared Sullinger played just 18 minutes, but still hit 6-of-11 shots for 12 points, three rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in Wednesday's win over the Pistons.

Advice: He played 17 minutes on Tuesday but had just four points and two rebounds. He's been giving up minutes to Kelly Olynyk and Tyler Zeller, and will simply need more than 18 minutes a night to make a real fantasy impact. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:56 pm
  • Andre Drummond dub-dub, makes FTs
Andre Drummond not only hit 6-of-11 shots for 16 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks, he also hit 4-of-6 free throws in Wednesday's loss to Boston.

Advice: He had hit just 4-of-20 free throws over his previous three games, so tonight's stellar job at the line is a big deal. Having said that, owners already know he's going to ruin their team's percentage from the line on a weekly basis, so tonight's solid free throw effort will go to waste. Even with the horrendous free throw experience from Drummond, he's a fun player to own when he's putting up monster double-doubles on a near nightly basis. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:53 pm
  • Marcus Morris plays well in 36 minutes
Marcus Morris played 36 minutes and hit just 4-of-17 shots, but also hit two 3-pointers and five 3-pointers to finish with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists in Wednesday's loss.

Advice: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope went down with a potentially serious groin injury, so Morris should continue to get heavy minutes going forward. He shot it terribly tonight, but the minutes were there and he should have a lot of opportunity going forward given KCP's injury. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:42 pm
  • Tristan Thompson flops in 34 minutes vs. CHA
Tristan Thompson came up empty in 34 minutes vs. the Hornets, scoring just four points with four rebounds and a pair of personal fouls.

Advice: Thompson attempted four shots without any free throw attempts, and he had zero assists, steals or blocks. Timofey Mozgov (four points, zero rebounds in seven minutes) is doing nothing to overtake Thompson as a starter, but TT's fantasy offerings are too slim for use in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:10 pm
  • Kris Humphries (knee) will not play
Kris Humphries (knee) will not play on Wednesday vs. the Warriors.

Advice: The big man is nearing a return and went through a workout during the morning shootaround, but he still hasn't been cleared to play. His role will be limited when he returns because the Wizards are playing a lot of small ball, so he's not worth stashing in almost any league. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:20 pm
  • Stein: Raptors interested in Markieff Morris
The Raptors are showing interest in Markieff Morris, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Advice: Stein reported earlier that the Raptors have interest in P.J. Tucker. The Raptors and Suns played last night, which included Morris going for a season-high 30 points in his best game of the season. Coach Earl Watson called Morris "the main focus" of the offense, so a trade to Toronto would cripple his value. If he's moved, that would help Mirza Teletovic, who is also believed to be on the block. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:53 am
  • Ibaka explains downward trend in his numbers
Serge Ibaka said that spending more time away from the rim has contributed to the downward trend in his shot blocking and rebounding numbers.

Advice: "It's tough. Four years ago, I used to be in the paint most of the time, so I used to get more blocks, more rebounds," said Serge. "Now the way they play, we have to change." For the first time in Ibaka's career, Russell Westbrook is averaging more rebounds than him at 7.4 per game, although Serge has still managed to put up top-50 value on the season largely due to his 2.1 blocks per game. Ibaka qualifies as a buy-low guy, but there are no guarantees he can be a top-20 player to close out the year. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:15 am
  • Report: Dwight Howard to Boston unlikely
The reported talks between Boston and Houston revolving around Dwight Howard are unlikely to advance past the discussion phase, according to sources of A. Sherrod Blakely.

Advice: Boston is reportedly looking to add a low-post scorer so that they can become more efficient in halfcourt sets, but both health and attitude concerns for the 30-year-old veteran have the Celtics hesitant to give up much to land big D-12. He's also likely to opt-out of his contract this offseason in order to hit free agency, so it doesn't seem likely that the Celtics will give up meaningful assets for what could be a half-year rental. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:37 am
  • Darrell Arthur (quad) out Wednesday vs. Utah
Darrell Arthur (left quad soreness) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Jazz.

Advice: Staying healthy is a constant battle for Arthur, and he's been losing minutes to Kenneth Faried, Jusuf Nurkic and Nikola Jokic as of late. There's little incentive to own Arthur in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:53 am
    Injured

  • Kris Humphries (knee) misses shootaround
Kris Humphries (knee) worked out, but did not participate during Wednesday morning's shootaround.

Advice: With Humphries sitting out shootaround, we're going to go ahead and consider him doubtful for tonight's game given that he hasn't played since January 3. He belongs on the waiver wire in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:02 am
  • Durant and Westbrook to LA highly unlikely
The idea of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook signing with the Lakers as free agents is "almost laughable," according to sources of Basketball Insiders.

Advice: The initial KD and Westbrook to Los Angeles story was spawned by ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, who tends to favor sensationalism over journalism, and the reality is that if the pair would like to remain together they'd make more money by staying in OKC. Additionally, it wouldn't make sense for Durant to leave the Thunder in order to pursue a championship and then wind up going through a rebuild with the Lakers. For now, Los Angeles seems like a very unlikely destination for the Durantuala. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:05 am
  • Watson: Markieff Morris is 'focus' of offense
Earl Watson said after Tuesday's game, when Markieff Morris exploded for 30 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, a steal, two blocks and a 3-pointer, that Morris is now the focal point of the team's struggling offense.

Advice: "He is the main focus of our offense moving forward, we know that," Watson said after the game. Morris racked up season highs in points, rebounds, assists and blocks (tie) and is officially a must-pickup player in fantasy hoops. He could flop at any time or be traded into a bad situation, but based on what his coach said tonight, you have every reason to try to get him. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:55 pm
  • Meyers Leonard scores nine points in win
Meyers Leonard scored nine points with five boards, two assists and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes vs. the Bucks on Tuesday.

Advice: The minutes were nice, but the production could've been a little better. He scored 13 points with three treys in 32 minutes on Sunday, but he has been very inconsistent all season. However, Noah Vonleh went down with an ankle sprain and could miss time, so Leonard could be looking at additional minutes moving forward. For now, just put him on your radar if you could use a big capable of knocking down a couple of treys. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:27 pm
  • Markieff Morris goes for 30 & 11 in start
Markieff Morris started over Mirza Teletovic on Tuesday and went off for 30 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, a steal, two blocks and a 3-pointer on 13-of-20 shooting in 41 minutes.

Advice: The points, boards, assists and blocks (tie) were all season highs for the disgruntled Morris, and the Suns and new coach Earl Watson are in full showcase mode as they hope to trade Morris. This will certainly help his trade value and he is officially the hottest pickup of the night in fantasy. He could fade just as quickly as he exploded, but he's probably worth grabbing if you have someone to drop. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:56 pm
  • Tyler Zeller double-doubles in win
Tyler Zeller played 27 minutes off the bench and hit 8-of-13 shots for a season-high 16 points, 10 rebounds and a steal in Tuesday's win.

Advice: We haven't even blurbed him since before Christmas, which was the last time he did anything of significance. Just keep an eye on him and if he suddenly starts playing well and getting minutes, strugglers Amir Johnson and Jared Sullinger will take an even bigger hit. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:51 pm
  • Sullinger, Johnson struggle for Celtics
Jared Sullinger played just 17 minutes and hit 2-of-6 shots for of our points, two rebounds and a steal in Tuesday's win over the Knicks.

Advice: Sully had just five points and four rebounds on Sunday after double-doubling in his previous game. Kelly Olynyk looks like the better play right now, despite coming off the bench. Amir Johnson was also quiet, going for four points and four rebounds in just 15 minutes, and has scored in single figures in nine straight games. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:43 pm
  • Markieff Morris will start on Tuesday
Markieff Morris will start on Tuesday vs. the Raptors.

Advice: The Suns will likely be sellers at the trade deadline and Morris is a candidate to be moved, so they're clearly trying to boost his value. He hasn't played well this season, and a trade to a contender wouldn't necessarily be a good thing for his value. For now, he's better suited for deeper leagues. Mirza Teletovic will return to the bench. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 4:55 pm
  • Markieff Morris could start Tuesday vs. TOR?
Markieff Morris may return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game vs. the Raptors, according to beat reporter Paul Coro.

Advice: Coro is basing this assessment off newly appointed interim head coach Earl Watson's quotes from earlier today when he said he's going to "nurture and embrace" Morris. Markieff's playing time could be trending up with a new coach at the helm, so he's someone to consider as a speculative add in deep leagues if you have someone to cut. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:29 pm
  • Harrison Barnes says he's getting rhythm back
Harrison Barnes said that he feels he's playing his way back into game shape and is starting to find his rhythm again after spending all of December on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Advice: "I’m feeling good," Barnes said. "I’m just getting back to playing into game shape and getting my rhythm back. I feel like I’m getting to the point where I can go out there and contribute and not have any pain… I’m still looking to get my explosion back and not have any pain." Barnes hasn't exactly hit the ground running since returning from the injury, as he shot just 42.4 percent from the field through the month of January. However, he has mid-round upside, so Barnes warrants a hold in standard formats. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:42 pm
  • Durant practices in full without knee brace
Kevin Durant went through a full practice on Tuesday without wearing any brace or sleeve on his right knee.

Advice: Durant wore a right knee brace during Monday's game, but he produced a standard stat stuffing line, and after going through a full practice on Tuesday there's nothing to be concerned about here. Move along. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:37 pm
  • Report: Dubs in the running for Kevin Durant?
The Warriors have emerged as "significant frontrunners" to sign Kevin Durant as an unrestricted free agent if he decides to leave the Thunder this offseason, according to sources of Adrian Wojnarowski

Advice: In order for the Dubs to create the cap space for this move, they would need to trade away Andre Iguodala, stretch Andrew Bogut and Jason Thompson, and withdraw Harrison Barnes' qualifying offer. Durant is also by no means a lock to leave OKC this offseason, and another idea that has been floated around is him signing a two-year deal with the Thunder with a player option on the second-year, so that he would hit free agency with Russell Westbrook. This is obviously going to be a huge story this offseason, but for now, Durant is fantasy basketball's No. 2 overall option. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:51 am
  • OKC mum on reason for Kevin Durant's brace
Kevin Durant wore a brace on his right knee during Monday's win over the Wizards, but the Thunder didn't elaborate on the reason.

Advice: Head coach Billy Donovan said reporters would have to ask Durant about the brace/sleeve that he wore on his right knee, but Durant left the locker room without talking to reporters. While he was seen icing the knee on the bench, KD didn't look any worse for the wear on the court en route to scoring 28 points on 9-of-18 shooting. We'll keep an eye out for updates, but it doesn't sound like this is anything fantasy owners should worry about just yet. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:37 am
  • Blake Griffin still waiting on discipline
Blake Griffin (hand) is still waiting to hear from the league about his punishment from the league.

Advice: The Clippers are hoping to hear from the league about Griffin's discipline soon, but a decision may not be imminent, according to sources. Griffin is expected to miss up to two months with a fractured right hand and will likely miss more time due to a suspension when he returns, so fantasy owners may not get him back until mid-to-late March. Short of having a a free IR spot, stashing Griffin could be a detrimental move for fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:20 am

  • Derrick Favors back problems due to mattress?
Derrick Favors scored 13 points with eight rebounds and four blocks in 38 minutes against the Bulls on Monday.

Advice: There's still no word if he got a new mattress, but nobody will be sleeping on him in fantasy leagues anymore. Favors is coming off a 20-point game on Saturday and should be an early-round player going forward. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:42 pm
  • Greg Monroe scores 24 w/ 12 boards
Greg Monroe scored 24 points with 12 boards, three assists, one block, one steal and one turnover in Monday's loss to the Kings.

Advice: He caught a break with DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) sitting this one out, and he finished with an efficient 11-of-16 shooting from the field. Monroe hasn't had to worry about John Henson because he has been sidelined due to a lower back issue, so he's a solid play in DFS until further notice. Monroe has scored 21 or more points in six straight games and needs to be in all lineups. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:35 pm
  • Anthony Davis scores 23 points vs. Grizzlies
Anthony Davis scored 23 points during a 110-95 loss on Monday, adding nine rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

Advice: His wrist injury from the weekend didn't seem to bother him. Davis isn't quite putting up the same per-minute numbers as he was last year, but his owners won't care as long as he's not missing games. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:14 pm
  • Ryan Anderson scores just nine points
Ryan Anderson scored just nine points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, four turnovers and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes against the Grizzlies on Monday.

Advice: The dip in usage was the big story here, making just 3-of-9 from the field and 2-of-4 from the line. Even with Anthony Davis back, Anderson should be very good for as long as Tyreke Evans (knee) is out. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:00 pm
