  • Pablo Prigioni is questionable Sunday
Pablo Prigioni (facial contusion) is a game-time decision to face the Heat on Sunday.

Advice: He left Friday's game vs. the Magic and never returned. Austin Rivers (hand) is also questionable, so Jamal Crawford may be forced to be the backup point guard on Sunday. Prigioni is not a fantasy asset. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:00 am
  • Martin, Garnett and Pekovic are all doubtful
Kevin Martin (wrist), Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic (foot) are all doubtful for Saturday's game vs. the Bulls.

Advice: To be clear, none of them will play and the Wolves should've just listed them as out. Martin may not play again until the trade deadline, and by that by point he might be wearing a different uniform. He's not worth stashing in most leagues, while Zach LaVine will continue to benefit in his absence. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:34 am
  • Mike Conley will consider all options in FA
Mike Conley will consider all options when he becomes a free agent this summer.

Advice: "I think everything will be on the table when the time comes," Conley said. "I haven’t committed to anything." The Grizzlies might be a little nervous following this quote, as Conley will have the ability to walk at the end of the season as an unrestricted free agent. Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace has already stated that Conley will be the team's "No. 1 priority" this summer, but there will certainly be a lot of competition for his signature. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:27 am
  • Matt Bonner (calf) out Saturday
Matt Bonner (calf) will not play on Saturday vs. the Lakers.

Advice: He picked up the injury during Friday's blowout win over the Mavs, but he's not a regular in the rotation even with Tim Duncan (knee) out. Leave Bonner on the wire. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:06 am
  • Ian Mahinmi (back) is questionable Saturday
Ian Mahinmi (back) is questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Pistons.

Advice: Pacers coach Frank Vogel said on Friday that Mahinmi was probable, so he has a very good chance of returning from a four-game absence tonight. Mahinmi has been a pleasant surprise all season with averages of 8.5 points, 7.1 boards and 1.0 blocks, so he's worth a look if you need a low-end big. Jordan Hill and Lavoy Allen will lose minutes upon Mahinmi's return. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:34 am
  • Rodney Hood is mentally stronger this season
Rodney Hood said that he has been getting better mentally which helped him bounce back on Friday vs. the Bucks.

Advice: "I think it helped just having a short-term memory," Hood said. "I've been getting better mentally, and I remember early in the season letting a situation like this go over from game to game. I'm maturing, so I just wanted to be aggressive, as long as I hit shots or not." Hood was held to eight points on Wednesday vs. the Jazz, but he put that performance behind him and dropped 23 points with three treys on Saturday. Hood is a stud and should be considered a must-start player. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:43 am
  • Watson praises Orlando Johnson
Suns coach Earl Watson spoke highly of newly-acquired guard Orlando Johnson.

Advice: "He plays with his heart like [P.J. Tucker]," Watson said. "He’s athletic. He’s shooting the ball well from 3 right now. But what we need more than anything right now is like-minded players. He has a like-minded attitude coming from the Spurs program. You know the attitude he’s going to have. He’s going to play the right way." Johnson is on a 10-day deal and will look to impress the Suns during Saturday's game vs. the Jazz. He's not on the fantasy radar for now. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:29 am
  • Noah Vonleh (ankle) is doubtful Saturday
Noah Vonleh (ankle) is doubtful for Saturday's game vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Moe Harkless drew the start against the Raptors on Thursday, so the Blazers will likely stick with the same lineup since the Rockets are starting Trevor Ariza at the four. Vonleh only plays minutes in the teens despite the fact that he has been starting at power forward, so he's not worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:22 am
  • Bickerstaff praises Corey Brewer
Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that Corey Brewer is "disruptive" on the defensive end.

Advice: "He's disruptive," Bickerstaff said. "When he's able to get steals, that's when his offense starts. His offense starts on the defensive end of the court. It's a steal for us. It's a defensive rebound for us and then it's a quick outlet. When we're getting stops, that's when [Brewer] is at his best." Brewer scored 24 points against the Suns on Thursday and is still starting at small forward, but he was struggling prior to that game. Unless he does this again, he's better suited for deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:57 am
  • Scott says Clarkson can become an All-Star
Byron Scott said that Jordan Clarkson has the potential to become an All-Star.

Advice: "Hopefully in the next couple of years, he keeps progressing," Scott said. "When it’s his fourth or fifth year in this league, hopefully he’s one of those guys that you can look at as possibly being an All-Star." Clarkson will be a restricted free agent this summer, but he recently expressed his desire to stay in Los Angeles. "I definitely want to be here in LA and be a part of this young group and grow," Clarkson said. "Hopefully we can grow into something great. I love L.A." Rotoworld.com Today, 7:48 am
  • P.J. Tucker doesn't want a trade
P.J. Tucker is hopeful that the Suns will not trade him.

Advice: "I love being in Phoenix," Tucker said. "It’s been my longest stop of my career and hopefully it continues." Tucker is on the last year of his deal and the Suns are tanking, so he should draw plenty of interest prior to the Feb. 18 trade deadline. The Raptors have been linked with the swingman, but a move to Toronto would be bad news for his fantasy value. To be clear, nothing is imminent. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:51 am
  • Charlie Villanueva scores 16 points in loss
Charlie Villanueva scored 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting Friday, to go with six boards, three assists, one 3-pointer and three turnovers in 23 minutes.

Advice: Villanueva got some extra run tonight with the game well out of reach by halftime, and with the Mavs on a back-to-back set, CV could potentially enter the starting lineup on Saturday if Rick Carlisle elects to rest Dirk Nowitzki. If that's the case, Villanueva could be worth a punt play in DFS, although there's no reason to swoop him up in season-long settings. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:00 am
  • Trey Burke (flu) not traveling to Phoenix
Trey Burke (flu-like symptoms) will not be traveling with the team to Phoenix for Saturday's game.

Advice: While Burke could technically catch a later flight to Arizona, it seems much more likely that he'll spend Saturday's game on the sidelines, which would result in heavy minutes for Rodney Hood and Raul Neto. Hood will get an extremely favorable matchup tomorrow, and he'd be someone to target in DFS. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:37 pm
  • Deron Williams hits 3-of-9 shots in 27 mins
Deron Williams' struggles continued on Friday as he only connected on 3-of-9 shots on his way to eight points, three rebounds, three assists and one turnover in 27 minutes.

Advice: Williams has been struggling mightily over the past month, owning meager averages of 11.7 points, 4.6 assists, 1.0 three-pointer and 2.3 turnovers per game on 38.5 percent shooting. Those numbers have him ranking well outside the top 150 in standard leagues, although he still offers too much upside to outright drop. Perhaps he can get things back on track after the All-Star break. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:14 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge double-doubles w/ two swats
LaMarcus Aldridge double-doubled during Friday's easy win over the Mavs, tallying 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting to go with 10 boards, two assists, two steals, two blocks and one turnover in 28 minutes.

Advice: Aldridge has been playing extremely well since Tim Duncan (knee) went down, producing averages of 20.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and just 1.5 turnovers per game which has been good enough for top-20 value in standard leagues. However, Aldridge has never averaged more than 1.2 swats per game, so now seems like a good sell-high opportunity for a guy that's producing unsustainable numbers. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:47 pm
  • Rudy Gobert scores 15 with five steals
Rudy Gobert made the Bucks offense look like it belonged in the NCAA during an 84-81 win on Friday, scoring 15 points with eight rebounds, one assist, five steals and three blocks in 38 minutes.

Advice: His five steals are a career high, he made 6-of-7 from the field and he didn't turn the ball over. The Jazz are winning with defense and coach Quin Snyder is OK with that. "I think we are an offensive juggernaut," Snyder said. "We've scored over 80 for two straight games." As for Gobert, he's inside of the top 15 over his last 10 games and is back to being a fantasy monster. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:34 pm
  • Rodney Hood scores 23 points vs. Bucks
Rodney Hood scored a game-high 23 points during a win over the Bucks on Friday with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: That's a bounce-back from his rare dud on Wednesday. Hood has emerged as one of the best sophomores in the NBA and the Jazz continue to build the offense around him. Expect him to keep flirting with top-50 value even when Alec Burks (leg) comes back. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:29 pm
  • Khris Middleton struggling with Kidd back
Khris Middleton turned it over a career-high nine times against the Jazz during an 84-81 loss on Friday, scoring 18 points with six rebounds, two assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: This was the nightmare matchup for the Bucks. They can't score consistently outside of the paint and the Jazz lock down the area around the rim. Meanwhile, Middleton continues to struggle since Jason Kidd returned. In fact, he made just 32.7 percent from the field in those six games and has struggled in every facet. He should be better. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:22 pm
  • Nikola Jokic scores 14 with 12 rebounds
Nikola Jokic (shoulder) scored 14 points with 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes against the Bulls on Friday.

Advice: He committed a couple dumb fouls to get him an early exit. That issue aside, Jusuf Nurkic played just 12 minutes and Joffrey Lauvergne played just 14 minutes while they combined for 1-of-10 from the field. Coach Mike Malone said he wouldn't trade Jokic for anyone, so it's fairly obvious Jokic has a clear runway going forward. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:05 pm
  • J.R. Smith drains five triples, swats a shot
J.R. Smith drained five more triples during Friday's heartbreaking loss to the Celtics, to go with 20 points, three rebounds, one assist, one block and three turnovers in 33 minutes.

Advice: Swish did pick up a questionable foul during the closing minutes of the game, which essentially cost Cleveland the win, but at least his stats were nice. He's been a mid-round guy over the past month, and he's fully capable of going stretches producing early-round value. The horrendous start is a distant memory. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:54 pm
  • Tony Snell starts second half
Tony Snell started the second half for Jimmy Butler (knee) on Friday against the Nuggets with two points, one rebound and one block in 19 minutes.

Advice: He barely played in the first half with five minutes and Mike Dunleavy (back) is going to be back Saturday. Snell isn't a great fit in the first unit and isn't a pickup yet. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:48 pm
  • Cam Bairstow gets a start
Cameron Bairstow scored four points with four rebounds and one assist in 10 minutes during his start for Pau Gasol (hand) on Friday.

Advice: Bobby Portis picked up most of the minutes and Bairstow looked pretty bad in his 10 minutes, too. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:45 pm
  • McBuckets scores 15 points vs. Nuggets
Doug McDermott scored 15 points with two rebounds and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Nuggets on Friday.

Advice: He might be in line for more minutes because of the injury to Jimmy Butler (knee). McDermott is not a high-upside player because he only puts up points and treys, so he's not a great speculative add in standard leagues yet. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:42 pm
  • Jose Calderon scores 18 points
Jose Calderon scored a game-high 18 points with eight rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes against against the Grizzlies on Friday.

Advice: That's a nice line for a guy who hasn't done much in the past two weeks. Calderon tends to string injuries together, so it makes sense to see if he can stay healthy for two straight games before adding him. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:33 pm
  • Jeff Green scores 16 points vs. Knicks
Jeff Green scored 16 points with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and no turnovers in 29 minutes against the Knicks in Friday's win.

Advice: He just thrives in wins and he's found his role off the bench. He's pretty close to his peak and he's putting up sixth-round value in his last 10 games. Green is a hold in all leagues, but selling high makes sense. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:26 pm
  • Thaddeus Young lights up Kings
Thaddeus Young scored 14 points with 14 rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 39 minutes against the Kings on Friday.

Advice: He's finally on the right track again coming off a 16-point, 14-board game. The Nets handed out 29 assists and Thad's seven were a season high. He should be back to being a top-50 guy going forward. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:16 pm
  • Matt Bonner (calf) heads to locker room
Matt Bonner went to the locker room with a left calf injury and did not return

Advice: With Friday's game being a massive blowout, Bonner was finally able to get into the rotation, but he lasted just four minutes. He's not worth owning in any league, not even with Tim Duncan (knee) out. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:59 pm
  • Trey Burke (illness) will not return Friday
Trey Burke (flu-like symptoms) will not return to Friday's game vs. the Bucks.

Advice: Burke will finish his evening with just one rebound and one assist to his credit, and we're going to consider him questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Suns. If he's out tomorrow, Rodney Hood will likely get all the run he can handle. Burke's game translates better to points formats, but he's not worth owning in standard 8-cat and 9-cat leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:52 pm
  • Trey Burke (nausea) heads to locker room
Trey Burke left Friday's game with a case of nausea, and he is questionable to return.

Advice: He's going to be re-evaluated after half-time, so we'll have another update then. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:00 pm
  • Pablo Prigioni heads to the locker room
Pablo Prigioni exited Friday's game vs. the Magic with a facial contusion, and he is doubtful to return.

Advice: The Clippers are running out of backup point guards with Austin Rivers (hand) not playing tonight. If Prigioni and Rivers are forced to miss time, it'll be Chris Paul playing massive minutes with Jamal Crawford earning some extended run off the bench. Lance Stephenson could also pick up some extra minutes in the rotation. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:57 pm
  • Nikola Jokic (shoulder) will play on Friday
Nikola Jokic (shoulder) will play Friday vs. the Bulls, as expected.

Advice: He'll have a favorable matchup against Chicago tonight, so go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:27 pm
  • Deron Williams (hip bruise) will play Friday
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) will play vs. the Spurs on Friday.

Advice: D-Will hurt himself on Monday but only missed one game, a good sign for fantasy owners given his lengthy injury history. With Devin Harris (toe) doubtful to return prior to the All-Star break, there should still be extra minutes for backup guards J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:57 pm
  • Kevin Martin (wrist) questionable Saturday
Kevin Martin (wrist) is officially questionable to play vs. the Bulls on Saturday.

Advice: Martin has missed six straight games, he hasn't logged 30 minutes in a contest since early December, and Sam Mitchell said recently that he wasn't close to returning. The Wolves' only incentive to play him at less than 100 percent would be to showcase him for a potential trade -- he's not a desirable fantasy asset unless he lands in an ideal situation. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:44 pm
  • Cameron Bairstow starting w/ Pau Gasol out
Cameron Bairstow will earn the second start of his career on Friday, filling in for Pau Gasol (hand).

Advice: Bairstow started one game last season, during which he scored two points in 19 minutes, and thus far in 2015-16 he's averaged a mere 3.8 minutes in 11 appearances. He's not an appealing option in any leagues, and Gasol's absence should primarily benefit Taj Gibson and Bobby Portis. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 4:36 pm
  • Martin, Garnett & Pekovic not close to return
Coach Sam Mitchell said the Kevin Martin (wrist), Kevin Garnett (knee) and Nikola Pekovic (ankle, foot) are not close to returning.

Advice: "I love the way we're playing right now," Mitchell said. In other words, those guys are basically out of the rotation. This is terrific news for Zach LaVine and Gorgui Dieng. Martin is on the trade block for next to nothing and will need to be dealt to have value. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:30 am
  • Deron Williams (hip) listed as questionable
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) has been listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Coach Rick Carlisle is "hopeful" to have him back in the lineup and Williams said on Thursday that he would give it a go, but we should have a concrete answer after the Mavs' shootaround. For now, it sounds safe to pencil him back into lineups. J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton will lose some value if D-Will plays. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:05 am
  • Suns signing Orlando Johnson
The Suns will sign Orlando Johnson to a 10-day deal.

Advice: The Suns have no healthy point guards on their roster and are playing three shooting guards and P.J. Tucker out of position. This season Johnson is averaging 15.2 points, 5.1 boards, 2.7 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.9 treys with the Austin Spurs this year. He's 26 years old, was a second-round pick in 2012 and hasn't been in the NBA since 2013-14. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:21 pm
  • Corey Brewer scores game-high 24 points
Corey Brewer scored a game-high 24 points against Suns on Thursday with one assist, four steals and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

Advice: The Rockets scored 26 points in fast break, so that kind of output there is right up Brewer's alley. In his previous starts, Brewer only has averages of 9.6 points, 3.4 boards, 1.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 treys on 38.8 percent from the field. If you want to ride him while he's played better, hopefully you're not dropping anything of value. He's not an add in standard leagues yet. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:15 pm
  • Calderon gets 13 minutes, doesn't score
Jose Calderon (groin) returned to action on Thursday with no points, three assists and one steal in 13 minutes.

Advice: It's becoming very clear that Langston Galloway is the better option, especially since Galloway's shooting is vastly improved. Calderon is a drop candidate despite his output before his injury last week. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:56 pm
  • Noah Vonleh (ankle) out for Thursday night
Noah Vonleh (ankle) is out against the Raptors on Thursday.

Advice: He was doubtful for this game and could miss time. The Blazers are more likely to go small tonight with Al-Farouq Aminu getting run at the four. Also, the Blazers have used Allen Crabbe at the three for about six minutes per game recently. Meyers Leonard may also see a bump. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 5:19 pm
  • Nikola Jokic (shoulder) probable for Friday
Nikola Jokic (shoulder) is probable to play Friday vs. the Bulls.

Advice: Jokic played through the shoulder injury on Wednesday, and there's no reason to believe he'll miss Friday's game. He had a disappointing performance against the Jazz, but he should be able to bounce-back on Friday with a much more favorable matchup against the Bulls. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 3:25 pm
  • Calderon starting, Langston Galloway benched
Jose Calderon will return to the starting lineup for Thursday's game vs. the Pistons, sending Langston Galloway back to the bench.

Advice: Calderon isn't anything more than a late-round guy with averages of 7.5 points, 4.0 assists, 1.1 three-pointers, 1.0 steal and 1.1 turnovers per game on 47.5 percent shooting, but his return to the lineup will result in Jerian Grant's minutes taking a massive hit. Galloway also loses a lot of luster with Calderon back in the fold. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:49 pm
  • Ian Mahinmi (back) out Friday vs. the Hawks
Ian Mahinmi (back) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Hawks.

Advice: Mahinmi didn't even travel with the team to Atlanta, but Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star is reporting that Ian could potentially make his return Saturday vs. Detroit. With Mahinmi out on Friday, Myles Turner, Jordan Hill and Lavoy Allen will continue to see an uptick in minutes, with Turner offering the most upside. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:32 pm
  • Deron Williams (hip) says he'll play Friday
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) said after Thursday's practice that he'll play Friday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Rick Carlisle wouldn't officially confirm Williams' status, but he did say he was hopeful Deron would be out there, so it's looking like he'll play vs. the Spurs. With Williams active, J.J. Barea will return to the bench and Raymond Felton's minutes will take a hit. Owners should check back for official confirmation on Deron following Friday morning's shootaround. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:17 pm
  • Carlisle hopeful Williams can play Friday
Rick Carlisle said that he's hopeful to have Deron Williams (right hip contusion) available for Friday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Williams sat out Wednesday's game with the hip injury, but he was moving around better at shootaround, and he said after Thursday's practice that he'll play on Friday. Williams return to the lineup would result in J.J. Barea heading back to the bench, and there would be less minutes available for Raymond Felton. Check back for another update on Williams following Friday morning's shootaround, but it sounds like he'll be out there. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:48 am
  • Jose Calderon probable against Pistons Thurs
Jose Calderon (groin) is expected to play against the Pistons on Thursday.

Advice: It's unclear if Calderon starts or will be on a minutes limit, but it looks like he'll return to the court after a four-game absence. Calderon doesn't have much fantasy value at this point, but his return to the Knicks rotation will diminish Langston Galloway's fantasy value. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:44 am
  • LaMarcus Aldridge feeling like old self again
LaMarcus Aldridge was back to feeling like his old self after Wednesday's win over the Pelicans.

Advice: Aldridge scored a season-high 36 points against the Pelicans on Wednesday and said he's feeling like his old slef again. "The ball’s been going in," Aldridge said. "Taking the shots and making them, playing more confident, more like myself, and I think the team has fed off that energy." While Aldridge isn't providing the returns his fantasy owners expected, his last two games could go a long way towards getting his value back on track. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:27 am
  • Doug McDermott scores 11 off bench
Doug McDermott scored 11 points off the bench against the Kings on Wednesday with two rebounds and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He did look to suffer a right shoulder injury, but it was minor and he returned. McDermott did play 4.7 minutes at power forward tonight, which could be a realistic amount going forward. He is still only worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:03 pm
  • Tony Snell starts for Jimmy Buckets
Tony Snell made a spot start for Jimmy Butler (knee) on Wednesday with nine points, seven rebounds, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Mike Dunleavy (back) will be back on Saturday and Jimmy Butler (knee) is only day-to-day, so Snell probably won't have much value beyond Friday. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:59 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge scores season-high 36
LaMarcus Aldridge scored a season-high 36 points against the Pelicans during a 110-97 win on Wednesday, adding six rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks.

Advice: He was 12-of-20 from the field and made all 12 free throws. Aldridge is coming off a season-high 28 from Monday and he's rolling in his last four, averaging 26.0 points, 5.5 boards, 1.5 assists and 2.0 blocks on 64.9 percent from the field. He'll cool off, but this is nice to see for those who overspent on him. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:38 pm
  • Trey Burke gets just 16 minutes in win
Trey Burke played just 16 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, finishing with just two points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal, as he hit just 1-of-4 shots.

Advice: Burke hasn't cracked the 20-minute mark in four straight games and as long as that's the case, he's not worth having in your lineup. He could easily make a comeback at any time this season, but starting PG Raul Neto is eating up his minutes these days, along with other Jazz role players. Even guard Erick Green saw a season-high three minutes tonight and played in the first half. And in case you're wondering, Neto is not a guy you want to be looking to own right now, despite the decent run. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:59 pm
  • Rodney Hood struggles on 3-of-12 shooting
Rodney Hood hit just 3-of-12 shots and a 3-pointer for eight points and a block on Wednesday.

Advice: He was piping hot coming in, with his last single-digit scoring game coming on Jan. 6, while he had scored between 16 and 29 points in each of his last six games. He'll bounce back soon, but never got it going against the strong defense of Gary Harris tonight. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:48 pm
  • Nikola Jokic quiet in loss to Jazz
Nikola Jokic, who was dealing with a sore shoulder, started and played 29 minutes on Wednesday, but hit just 3-of-9 shots for eight points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and zero blocks.

Advice: Maybe he got 'Gobert'd' tonight, but it was nice to see the big minutes after he was a little iffy coming in. He double-doubled in his previous three games and got the same amount of playing time as usual, so don't be concerned about the low production. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:27 pm
  • Thaddeus Young comes through with 16 & 14
Thaddeus Young broke out of a funk and had 16 points and 14 rebounds in 35 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.

Advice: He didn't do much else, but this was just his third double-double since Jan. 15. He's still a candidate for steals on most nights and we're hoping this is a sign that he's ready to start racking up solid fantasy stats again. He had just eight points and five rebounds in his previous game. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:09 pm
  • J.R. Smith makes four 3s, gets four steals
J.R. Smith shot just 5-of-14 from the field on Wednesday, scoring 14 points, but four of his makes came from downtown and he added a season-high-tying four steals.

Advice: Smith also chipped in three rebounds and a block without any turnovers, enough to pacify most fantasy owners. He's a streaky scorer and occasional duds are to be expected, but the 12th-year guard is anchoring his value with 2.4 triples and 1.1 steals per game. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:12 pm
  • Tony Snell starting on Wednesday
Tony Snell will start against the Kings on Wednesday in place of Jimmy Butler (knee).

Advice: He will get his best chance to earn minutes going forward because Mike Dunleavy (back) could be back this weekend. Leave Snell on the wire. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:18 pm
  • Martin, Garnett and Pekovic all out vs. Clips
Kevin Martin (wrist), Kevin Garnett (knee) and Nikola Pekovic (foot) will not play against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Advice: The severity of Martin's injury isn't known, but he might not even be in the rotation upon his return anyway. Leave him on the wire. Zach LaVine should get 30 minutes or so and is worth holding in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:09 pm
  • Nikola Jokic starting on Wednesday vs. Jazz
Nikola Jokic is starting on Wednesday against the Jazz.

Advice: He did show some pain in warmups, but fantasy owners can trust one of the hottest rookies in fantasy tonight. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:58 pm
  • Nikola Jokic (shoulder) a game-time call
Nikola Jokic (shoulder) is a game-time decision to face the Jazz on Wednesday.

Advice: He is going to warm up and is still likely to play. The last time we saw Jokic, he torched the Raptors for 27. For now, his owners can assume he'll play for now. If not, Joffrey Lauvergne and Jusuf Nurkic will play more. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:45 pm
  • Noah Vonleh (ankle) doubtful for Thursday
Noah Vonleh (left ankle) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Raptors.

Advice: He said he was fine on Tuesday, but apparently it swelled up on him. If Vonleh is out, Meyers Leonard will likely get his first chance to start since his injured shoulder. There should also be a lot of minutes at the four for Al-Farouq Aminu, which opens up some run for Allen Crabbe in this kind of matchup. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 12:28 pm
  • Kevin Martin (wrist) questionable vs. LAC
Kevin Martin (wrist) is questionable to play against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Advice: He was questionable for Tuesday and did not play. Martin has been out since Jan. 23 and he's also very likely to be traded. If he does play, Zach LaVine may play a little less. Martin is probably closer to doubtful for this one. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:34 am
  • Report: Toronto interested in P.J. Tucker
The Raptors have reportedly expressed interest in trading for P.J. Tucker.

Advice: It makes sense as the Raptors’ small forwards have been ravished by injuries, although Tucker would lose a lot of value in Toronto once DeMarre Carroll (knee) is able to get back on the court. It's unclear exactly what assets the Raptors would send to the Suns in order to make this deal happen, but Stein reports that Phoenix is likely seeking a "nice" draft pick as compensation. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:45 am
  • Nikola Jokic (shoulder) probable Wednesday
Nikola Jokic is dealing with a strained left shoulder, but he is probable to play Wednesday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: Jokic will look to build off his career-high 27-point performance from Monday, and with Darrell Arthur (quad) on the sidelines Wednesday night, Jokic should have no problem seeing his playing time in the 30s. Go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:55 am
  • Deron Williams (hip) out Wednesday vs. Miami
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Heat.

Advice: Williams was moving around better during Wednesday morning's shootaround, but the Mavs won't rush anything with the oft-injured point guard. It'll be Raymond Felton and J.J. Barea seeing an uptick in minutes tonight with both Williams and Devin Harris (toe) out, with Barea likely to enter the starting lineup. The Mavs play the Spurs on Friday, so we'll be considering Williams questionable for that one. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:37 am
  • Noah Vonleh not concerned about ankle sprain
Noah Vonleh downplayed the sprained ankle that forced him out of Tuesday's game, saying that the ankle injury is "nothing major."

Advice: "I got X-Rays. They said there were no breaks and it wasn't nothing major," Vonleh said after the game. "Just a little swelling. It should go down pretty quick. It's feeling a little sore, but I don't think it's anything major." For now we'll be considering Noah questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Raptors, and if he's forced to miss any time, Meyers Leonard will see a boost in playing time. Vonleh is only averaging 16 minutes a game despite starting for Portland, so he belongs on the waiver wire in all re-draft leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:42 am
  • Deron Williams (hip) questionable Wednesday
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Heat.

Advice: Williams was forced out of Monday's loss to the Hawks with the hip injury, and Rick Carlisle said after the game that he was "concerned" about the injury, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Dallas err on the side of caution with the oft-injured point guard and keep him out of Wednesday's game. J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton will benefit if Williams is forced to miss any time. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:04 am
  • Jordan Clarkson scores 16 points in win
Jordan Clarkson scored 16 points with three boards, two assists and two steals in 35 minutes vs. the Wolves on Tuesday.

Advice: Coach Byron Scott has hinted several times that D'Angelo Russell will eventually move back into the starting lineup after the All-Star break, but that would likely push Lou Williams to the bench as opposed to Clarkson. Additionally, Williams is a trade candidate so that would take the pressure off both Russell and Clarkson if he was moved. Clarkson is a huge part of the Lakers' future and his role should be safe no matter what, so his owners don't have too much to be worried about. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:59 pm
  • X-rays negative on Noah Vonleh's ankle
X-rays taken on Noah Vonleh's ankle came back negative.

Advice: He is dealing with a left ankle sprain and should be considered questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Raptors. Vonleh usually only plays minutes in the teens, so he shouldn't be owned in most leagues. Meyers Leonard will benefit the most if Vonleh misses time. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:38 pm
  • Khris Middleton scores 21 points in loss
Khris Middleton scored 21 points on Tuesday vs. the Blazers with eight boards, three assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes.

Advice: His shot wasn't falling and he hit just 7-of-22 from the field and 5-of-8 from the line, but he deserves some credit for staying aggressive and he said this week that his confidence has improved. "Now, I'm not afraid," Middleton said. "Or getting myself down about missing shots or missing an assignment late. The game goes on. You've got another chance. That's definitely a mental thing." Treat him as a top-40 player going forward. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:16 pm
  • Noah Vonleh (ankle sprain) will not return
Noah Vonleh was diagnosed with a left ankle sprain on Tuesday vs. the Bucks and will not return.

Advice: He was scoreless in 16 minutes with three boards. Vonleh hasn't been a reliable fantasy asset all season even though he is the starting power forward, so he shouldn't be owned in most leagues anyways. Meyers Leonard will see a boost in playing time if Vonleh misses any more action. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:40 pm
  • Kevin Martin (wrist) out for Tuesday
Kevin Martin (wrist) will not play on Tuesday vs. the Lakers as expected.

Advice: He was listed as questionable but coach Sam Mitchell never expected him to play. K-Mart is likely going to be traded, but he isn't worth stashing in almost any format at the moment. Zach LaVine will benefit on Tuesday and from here on out. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:42 pm
  • Jose Calderon (groin) out Tuesday vs. Boston
Jose Calderon (groin) will not suit up for Tuesday's game vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Langston Galloway will again be in the starting lineup tonight, and Jerian Grant should continue to see around 20 minutes off the bench. Calderon was able to go through a full practice on Monday, and head coach Derek Fisher said that Thursday vs. Detroit is a "realistic" target date for Calderon, so we'll be considering Jose on the probable side of the questionable tag for that one. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 2:53 pm
  • Kevin Martin (wrist) questionable for Tuesday
Kevin Martin (wrist) is being listed as questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Lakers, although head coach Sam Mitchell said he didn't think he would play.

Advice: Martin should be listed as doubtful here, and it would be very surprising to see him take the court tonight. We should have official confirmation soon enough, but Zach LaVine will be the primary beneficiary with Martin likely on the sidelines Tuesday night, and he's on the radar in DFS with a favorable matchup against the Lakers. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 1:07 pm
  • Ian Mahinmi (back) out Wednesday vs. the Nets
Ian Mahinmi (back) will not suit up for Wednesday's game vs. Brooklyn, but he's hopeful he can return to the court for Friday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: It'll be Myles Turner, Jordan Hill and Lavoy Allen picking up the slack in Mahinmi's absence on Wednesday, with Turner offering the most upside. Turner is averaging 14.0 points, 8.3 boards and an elite 3.0 swats per game as a starter for the Pacers, and he absolutely needs to be owned in all leagues at this point. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:34 pm
  • Ian Mahinmi (back) questionable for Wednesday
Ian Mahinmi (back) is questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Nets.

Advice: Mahinmi has spent the past two games on the sidelines, but he's currently being listed as day-to-day, so there's a chance he's able to get back on the court for Wednesday's game. However, if he's unable to play tomorrow, Jordan Hill would have another opportunity to start with Myles Turner getting all the run he can handle. Check back for another update on Mahinmi following Wednesday morning's shootaround. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 11:35 am
  • Deron Williams suffered hip-to-hip collision
Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said Deron Williams (hip contusion) suffered a "hip-to-hip" collision in Monday's loss to the Hawks.

Advice: Williams was walking with a noticeable limp after Monday's game and is considered day-to-day going forward. We'll have updates after shootaround on Wednesday, but J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton are both in line for more minutes if D-Will is unable to suit up against the Heat (and beyond) Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:28 am
  • Rodney Hood fouls out, scores 19
Rodney Hood scored 19 points with five rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers before fouling out against the Bulls on Monday.

Advice: Hood has a knack for getting two quick fouls, but this was his first time fouling out in his career on six personals. On the positive side, he's quickly becoming one of the best wings in pick-and-roll and that's become the Jazz's new pet play. Hood has top-40 value in 2016 and should flirt with top-50 value going forward. It's all good with the Hood. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:38 pm
  • Doug McDermott scores seven off bench
Doug McDermott scored seven points with two rebounds and one 3-pointer in 19 minutes against the Jazz on Monday.

Advice: Thankfully, he only played one minute at power forward tonight. On Sunday, McDermott played a ridiculous 16 minutes at power forward, which makes zero sense. Of course, this did come against a Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert frontcourt tonight, so McBuckets losing run there tonight isn't the strongest indicator going forward. He's only worth a look in deep leagues regardless. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:13 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge drops season-high 28 points
LaMarcus Aldridge scored a season-high 28 points against the Magic during a 107-92 win on Monday, adding four rebounds and five blocks in 32 minutes.

Advice: His five blocks were also a season high and topped his entire January total of four. It's pretty wild to see Aldridge set a season high tonight at 28. In fact, he scored 28 or more 10 different times before Feb. 1 of last season with the Blazers. Aldridge is definitely trending up. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:06 pm
  • Jeff Green scores 24, Grizzlies win again
Jeff Green made 8-of-13 from the field for 24 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: It's amazing how well Green plays when the Grizzlies win. In wins this year, Green averaged 14.6 points, 4.9 boards, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.0 treys. In losses, it's just 8.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.5 treys. The Grizzlies are on a four-game winning streak and only James Harden has been better than Green in that span. He has to be owned. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:19 pm
  • Nikola Jokic scores 27 w/ 14 boards in win
Nikola Jokic scored a career-high 27 points in Monday's 112-93 win over the Raptors, adding 14 boards, four assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.

Advice: The boards were also a career high, and this was easily the best game of his season. He has now recorded three double-doubles in a row and is averaging 19.3 points, 11.7 boards, 3.0 assists, 2.0 steals, 0.7 blocks and 0.7 3-pointers in that span. That's good for top-15 value in standard leagues. The guy is special and should be a beast down the stretch. When asked about Jokic after the game, coach Michael Malone said that he "wouldn't trade him for anybody in the world." Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:52 pm
  • Carlisle is 'concerned' about Deron Williams
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said he is "concerned" about Deron Williams (hip).

Advice: "I don't know anything about a timetable or anything like that, but I'm concerned." Williams left Monday's game after a hard fall and never returned, and this quote by Carlisle isn't very encouraging. If D-Will ends up missing time, J.J. Barea would be the best add, while Raymond Felton would also see a boost in minutes. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:49 pm
  • Thaddeus Young cooling off these days
Thaddeus Young scored eight points with five rebounds and one block in 25 minutes against the Pistons on Monday.

Advice: After he became one of the most improved rebounders in the first month of the season, Thad has cooled off. In his previous 10, Young averaged 13.6 points, 7.9 boards and 1.6 steals. He's still a very good bet to be a mid-round player going forward and flirt with top-50 value. He also had an awesome block on Ersan Ilyasova tonight (in link below). Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:41 pm
  • J.R. Smith scores 19 points
J.R. Smith scored 19 points with three rebounds, two steals and four 3-pointers in 42 minutes against the Pacers on Monday.

Advice: He had a great January, averaging 14.8 points, 2.9 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.0 treys on 45.4 percent from the field. He's playing about 16.3 minutes per game with LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love in 2016, but he's still managed to get his shots. He's flirting with top-50 value in 2016. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:14 pm
  • Deron Williams (hip contusion) out for game
Deron Williams (hip contusion) will not return on Monday night.

Advice: He had a fall, the team announced he will return, and then finally ruled him out 10 minutes later after the "will return" announcement. Hip contusions can be a tricky injury with guys like Otto Porter having some issues recently. It's still likely a day-to-day thing, so J.J. Barea and Ray Felton only get a slight bump beyond tonight. Rotoworld.com Monday, 5:51 pm
  • Kevin Martin doubtful for Tuesday
Kevin Martin (wrist) is doubtful to play against the Lakers on Tuesday.

Advice: It would be a shock to see him play. Zach LaVine is seeing minutes in the upper 20s with plenty of minutes at both guard spots. He should be owned in standard leagues now while Martin should have been dropped in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:45 pm
  • Pacers uncertain on Mahinmi's return
The Pacers are uncertain when Ian Mahinmi (back) can return.

Advice: He is out on Monday and he could miss additional games. That means we'll see more of the Jordan Hill and Myles Turner frontcourt. Turner should be owned everywhere while Hill may have some nice short-term value. Don't expect him to be a great as he was on Saturday, though. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:12 pm
  • Jose Calderon (groin) likely to play Tuesday
Jose Calderon (groin) returned to practice on Monday, and he is optimistic about playing on Tuesday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Calderon has missed the last three games, but he's expected back for Tuesday's contest meaning Langston Galloway's run with the starters should come to a conclusion. That's a shame for fantasy GMs, because Galloway has produced more favorably in that role for our purposes than Calderon has at all this season, averaging just 7.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 triples. He is what he is. Rotoworld.com Monday, 11:05 am
  • Ian Mahinmi (back) ruled out again on Monday
Ian Mahinmi (back) will not play on Monday vs. the Cavs.

Advice: That means Jordan Hill, who exploded for 20 points, seven boards, three assists, a steal and six blocks in 38.5 minutes on Saturday, should again draw the start at the five with rookie Myles Turner lining up at power forward. It's a tough matchup for both players against a Cleveland time beginning to find its groove, and despite another game on the sidelines, there's nothing (yet) to indicate Mahinmi will miss extended time. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:34 am
  • Kevin Martin (wrist) out Sunday
Kevin Martin (wrist) will not play on Sunday vs. the Blazers.

Advice: This is Martin's fourth consecutive game on the sidelines and he won't play until he is 100 percent because he is on the trade block. Zach LaVine will pick up some extra minutes vs. the Blazers. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 4:44 pm
  • Doug McDermott hits two 3-pointers in 21 mins
Doug McDermott logged 21 minutes off the bench during Sunday's blowout loss to the Clippers, scoring six points on 2-of-7 shooting to go with two 3-pointers, one rebound and one turnover.

Advice: Unless you're in an extremely deep league and absolutely desperate for 3-pointers, McDermott isn't worth owning. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 3:24 pm
  • Jose Calderon (groin) out Sunday vs. Warriors
Jose Calderon (groin) will not play Sunday vs. the Warriors.

Advice: Langston Galloway will continue to start with Calderon on the sidelines, with Jerian Grant having the opportunity for some extended run off the bench. Galloway has been nice as a starter this season, owning averages of 11.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 three-pointer, 1.0 steal, 1.0 block and just 0.3 turnovers per game, so he's someone to consider in DFS. Groin injuries can be tricky, and given that Calderon still hasn't practiced, we'll consider him doubtful for Tuesday's game vs. Boston. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:51 pm
  • Kidd praises Khris Middleton
Bucks coach Jason Kidd heaped praise on Khris Middleton.

Advice: "He's 24 years old; he's learning how to play," Kidd said. "He wants to be good; he wants to be in that situation. He doesn't shy away from that. He wants to get better. You could see that last year in the second half of the season that we rode him. We played him a lot of minutes and he responded." Middleton is averaging 21.0 points, 6.4 assists, 5.0 boards, 1.4 steals and 2.0 3-pointers over his last five games and could be a top-40 player the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:50 am
  • Mike Conley held to eight points in win
Mike Conley was held to just eight points on Saturday vs. the Kings, adding seven assists, four boards and one steal.

Advice: The minutes were there, but Conley wasn't very active on offense and shot 3-of-6 from the field with two turnovers. He hasn't found his stride since returning from his Achilles injury, averaging just 10.8 points, 6.6 assists, 4.2 boards, 1.2 steals and 0.6 3-pointers over his last five games. He is also shooting 33.3 percent from the field in that span which means the buy-low window is wide open. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:09 pm
  • Jeff Green scores 29 points off the bench
Jeff Green scored 29 points off the bench on Saturday vs. the Kings, adding two boards, one assist, three steals and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He shot 11-of-16 from the field and was arguably the best Grizzly other than Marc Gasol in this one. Green is now averaging an incredible 26.7 points, 5.0 boards, 1.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 2.6 3-pointers over his last three games, so he needs to be owned until he cools off. Green is a trade candidate for the Grizzlies, and his value may not be at a higher point this season than it is right now. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:48 pm
  • Nikola Jokic drops 16 and 10 with five steals
Nikola Jokic kept rolling on Saturday during a 109-105 overtime loss to the Pacers, scoring 16 points with 11 rebounds, two assists, five steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: The steals were a career high and he is only the third Nuggets player since 1983-84 to post at least 16 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and five steals. His minutes are starting to be consistent and his defense has made major strides. For fantasy, he has been a second-round player in his last five and a fourth-round player in the month of January. Enjoy the ride. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:27 pm
  • Ian Mahinmi (back) ruled out Saturday
Ian Mahinmi (back) will not play on Saturday vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: The big man is dealing with a sore lower back, so the issue likely isn't serious and should be considered day-to-day. Mahinmi actually looked really good next to Myles Turner, so his owners should stick with him if he doesn't miss any more action. Jordan Hill will start next to Turner on Saturday. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:27 pm
  • Kevin Martin, Kevin Garnett doubtful
Kevin Martin (wrist) and Kevin Garnett (knee) are doubtful to play against the Blazers on Sunday.

Advice: Both players are likely out and Martin has a chance of not playing for the Wolves anytime soon with him being in the trade block. The Zach LaVine SG experiment is back on and he's made it very clear he wants to run minutes there, so he is worth owning right now to see if he can keep getting better. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:13 pm
  • Jordan Clarkson scores 17 points w/ 8 boards
Jordan Clarkson scored 17 points on 7-of-16 shooting during Friday's loss to the Clippers, adding eight rebounds, two assists and three turnovers through 36 minutes of action.

Advice: Clarkson has been a solid late-round guy on the season, but that’s basically where his value maxes out due to a low shooting percentage (43.7 percent from the field) and limited 3-point shooting (1.0 three-pointer per contest). His game translates better to points leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:59 pm
  • Rudy Gobert double-doubles with two swats
Rudy Gobert double-doubled during Friday's win over the Timberwolves, tallying 14 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks and two turnovers through 31 minutes of action.

Advice: Gobert has been a much more effective scorer over the past two weeks, and during that span he’s been a top-20 guy in standard 9-cat leagues with averages of 12.9 points, 12.6 rebounds and an elite 2.6 swats per contest on 62.5 percent shooting. He was a second-round stud after the break last year, and he could certainly be right there again this season. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:21 pm
  • Rodney Hood scores 22 points with two treys
Rodney Hood scored 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting Friday, to go with four assists, two 3-pointers, one rebound, one steal and two turnovers in 37 minutes.

Advice: Hood has been tearing it up over the past month, owning averages of 18.6 points, 4.0 boards, 2.9 assists, 3.1 treys and just 1.6 turnovers during that span on 45.2 percent shooting from the field which has been good enough for third-round value in 9-cat leagues. His usage rate has also jumped to 24.7 through the month of January, and he’s been extremely effective in pick-and-roll sets with Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert. Owners shouldn’t fear the return of Alec Burks, as Hood has clearly earned his minutes in the rotation. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:18 pm
  • Corey Brewer gets 30 minutes in start
Corey Brewer scored 17 points with two rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes against the Thunder on Friday.

Advice: The scoring is nice and all, but this wasn't a great line. Brewer doesn't gain too much value in the starting lineup and he's more of a 16-team guy. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:14 pm
  • Corey Brewer sticking in the starting lineup
Corey Brewer is starting again on Friday against the Thunder.

Advice: The Rockets are going small again, so that means Trevor Ariza will probably have to guard Serge Ibaka. Brewer may have to guard Kevin Durant, so that'll be fun for him. This lineup also helps Josh Smith and really hurts Clint Capela, who played just 0.1 minutes next to Dwight Howard on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:51 pm
  • Jose Calderon (groin) out against the Suns
Jose Calderon (groin) will not play against the Suns on Friday.

Advice: He tried to play through his injury on Tuesday and it sounds like he'll miss more time. Calderon has been toast on defense anyway, so the Knicks may opt to be extra careful. Langston Galloway gets another start in fantastic matchup tonight while Jerian Grant will back him up. Rotoworld.com Friday, 2:54 pm
  • Jose Calderon hurt groin on Saturday
Jose Calderon (groin) said he originally hurt his groin on Saturday and is questionable to play on Friday against the Suns.

Advice: He lasted 21 minutes on Tuesday and did not play on Thursday. Calderon called his injury a "guessing game" and he's going to monitor it going forward. Calderon is a very slow healer, so expect him to be limited as soon as he's ready to return. Langston Galloway could have a nice night on Friday against the Suns. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:51 am
  • Rodney Hood says he is more confident
Rodney Hood said that he is gaining more confidence in his shot.

Advice: "I feel like I’m shooting better, especially compared to the first half of the season," Hood said. "I’m shooting it more consistent. I’ve just been working on it." Hood has been sensational over his last five games, averaging 20.6 points, 4.6 boards, 3.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 3.6 3-pointers on 43.8 percent shooting from the field. He is a must-start player until further notice. Rotoworld.com Friday, 9:42 am
  • Jeff Green, Courtney Lee available?
The Grizzlies are gauging the value of Jeff Green and Courtney Lee prior to the Feb. 18 trade deadline.

Advice: Memphis is not actively pursuing a trade, but they are considering one because both Lee and Green can leave as free agents this summer. Green has been inconsistent this season and has been called out by some of his teammates for a lack of effort at times, but his value might be decent after scoring a combined 51 points over his last two games. Nothing is imminent, but both players could certainly benefit from a change of scenery. Rotoworld.com Friday, 6:38 am
  • Doug McDermott scores 15 off bench
Doug McDermott played 24 minutes off the bench against the Lakers on Thursday with 15 points, two rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He played all of his minutes at small forward and made 6-of-15 from the field. Coach Fred Hoiberg said he was considering McBuckets at the four, but it really makes little sense. He's played 15 minutes at the four all season with a lot of that coming in garbage time. He's not worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 10:20 pm
  • Khris Middleton scores 15 points in loss
Khris Middleton scored 15 points with six assists, five boards, three steals and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes vs. the Grizzlies on Thursday.

Advice: His playmaking ability has come a long way this season, and he's averaging 6.4 assists per game over his last five while also contributing 21.0 points, 5.0 boards, 1.4 steals and 2.0 3-pointers. He has been a top-30 player in that span, but he will likely be a fourth-round guy the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:44 pm
  • Mike Conley held to five points in win
Mike Conley was held to just five points on 1-of-8 shooting in Thursday's blowout win over the Bucks.

Advice: He saved his line with nine assists, one board and one steal, but he played just 24 minutes due to the lopsided score. Conley hasn't established a rhythm since returning from his Achilles injury, averaging just 12.2 points, 7.2 assists, 3.6 boards, 1.0 steals and 1.2 3-pointers on 35.3 percent shooting from the field. He should get it going soon and is a prime buy-low target. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:00 pm
  • Jeff Green stays hot, scores 21 points in win
Jeff Green scored 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting in Thursday's win over the Bucks, adding five boards, one assist and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: He is hot right now. Green exploded for a season-high 30 points vs. the Magic on Monday, but we have seen this story before. Green tends to disappear for multiple games at a time, but he's at least worth a look while he's playing this well. He will look to keep it going vs. the Kings on Saturday. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:56 pm
  • Nikola Jokic drops 15 and 10 vs. Wizards
Nikola Jokic scored 15 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 25 minutes against the Wizards on Thursday.

Advice: He's really good and the Nuggets have more confidence running offense though him in the post. The Nuggets are not going small nearly as much these days, which helps explain why Jokic has been consistent. In his last four, Jokic averaged 12.5 points, 8.0 boards, 3.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks on 55.6 percent from the field. His upside makes him a must-own player in standard leagues. • Ian Mahinmi scores eight in start
Ian Mahinmi scored eight points in 30 minutes against the Hawks on Thursday, adding six rebounds, two assists and two blocks.

Advice: He's not a highly-used player on offense, so the move of Myles Turner doesn't really hurt him much. Mahinmi has put up 10th-round value this month, so he might trend down a tad due to a lower rebounding rate and possibly less blocks. He's just an OK player to own. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:35 pm
  • LaMarcus Aldridge gets an All-Star spot
LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, Klay Thomson, James Harden and Chris Paul were named to the Western Conference All-Star Team.

Advice: No Zaza Pachulia? Kidding aside, it's pretty hard to argue here outside of Damian Lillard and DeAndre Jordan, but it's hard to take any of these guys off. The Spurs are playing wonderful ball and deserve two guys while you could argue C.J. McCollum has been better than Dame on the whole because of Dame's heel injury. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:22 pm
  • Jose Calderon (groin) ruled out for Thursday
Jose Calderon (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's game vs. the Raptors, and Langston Galloway will start in his place.

Advice: Galloway is coming off a 21-point, stat stuffing game from Tuesday, and he tends to play very well when Carmelo Anthony (knee) is on the sidelines, so he's someone to consider in DFS tonight. Groin injuries tend to be tricky, so Calderon going be looking at some extended time on the shelf here. Jerian Grant should also pick up some extra minutes tonight, but Galloway makes for the better DFS target. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 3:44 pm
  • Doug McDermott will spend some time at PF
Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg said that Doug McDermott will spend some time at the power forward position with Nikola Mirotic (appendectomy) on the sidelines.

Advice: Hoiberg also said that Jimmy Butler will be getting some run at the four-spot, but the primary beneficiary of Mirotic's absence is going to be Bobby Portis. While McDermott could have some extra minutes coming his way, he really doesn't do a whole lot aside from score and hit 3-pointers, so he's nothing more than a 3-point specialist in extremely deep leagues. • LaMarcus Aldridge takes care of Houston
LaMarcus Aldridge scored a game-high 25 points during a 130-99 win over the Rockets on Wednesday, adding 10 boards, five assists and two turnovers on 9-of-13 from the field.

Advice: He famously deleted his Twitter account after the loss to the Warriors and said after Wednesday's game he wants to "lock in" for the season. His fantasy owners can't complain with Aldridge posting fourth-round value in January. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:53 pm
  • Rodney Hood leads Utah w/ 24 pts & full line
Rodney Hood led Utah with 24 points, four rebounds and four assists during Wednesday's home victory, connecting on 8-of-16 shots including four 3-pointers.

Advice: Hood also went 4-of-4 from the FT line with one steal, and he committed just one turnover in 31 minutes. He may lose some touches once Derrick Favors resumes a full workload offensively, but Hood is still a promising hold for rest-of-season value. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:26 pm
  • Corey Brewer scores eight in start
Corey Brewer scored eight points with one rebound and one 3-pointer in 14 minutes against the Spurs on Wednesday.

Advice: He probably won't stick in the starting lineup for long. Regardless, Brewer scores 33 percent of his points in fast break, so he's going to be extremely inconsistent due to nothing being drawn up for him. Even if he does keep his job, leave him on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:06 pm
  • J.R. Smith stays hot for coach Tyronn Lue
J.R. Smith scored 18 points in 23 minutes on Wednesday, making 7-of-11 shots (4-of-6 from downtown) with three boards, four assists and four steals.

Advice: Smith was averaging 37.0 minutes per game since Tyronn Lue took over head coaching duties on Jan. 23, and he might have reached that mark tonight if it weren't a blowout. He was averaging just under 30 minutes under coach David Blatt, so the regime change is paying dividends for Swish's owners. He's more than a 3-point specialist and needs to be active in all lineups. • P.J. Tucker solid in road loss vs. LBJ, Cavs
P.J. Tucker fared well vs. LeBron James and the Cavs, finishing Wednesday's road loss with 13 points, three 3-pointers, seven boards, two assists, one steal and only one turnover in 35 minutes.

Advice: Tucker appears to relish the challenge vs. LBJ -- in his first game vs. Cleveland this season, he racked up 14 points, two triples, six boards, two assists and three steals. He's been a borderline 9-cat option since Jan. 1, and most waiver wires feature free agents with greater upside. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:43 pm
  • Jordan Clarkson scores 18 points in loss
Jordan Clarkson had a solid all-around game vs. the Mavericks on Tuesday, scoring 18 points with seven assists, six boards and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes

Advice: Kobe Bryant (shoulder) sat this one out, so Clarkson took advantage of some extra looks on the offensive end. He shot 6-of-15 from the field and had a couple of turnovers, but he is capable of putting up big lines like these when the Lakers aren't blown out by the third quarter. Clarkson will look to keep it going vs. the Bulls on Thursday. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 10:46 pm
  • Noah Vonleh scores 10 points in win
Noah Vonleh scored 10 points with seven boards and two blocks in 23 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Kings.

Advice: He has now scored in double digits in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. Vonleh scored a season-high 11 points vs. the Lakers on Saturday, so he is slowly starting to find his way in this league. Portland's frontcourt is still very crowded and Vonleh will only get minutes in the upper teens to lower 20s on most nights, but he is starting to pop up on the radar in deeper leagues.
