  • Marcus Thornton scores 15 off the bench
Marcus Thornton scored 15 points with three assists, one board, one block, one steal and one 3-pointer vs. the Warriors on Tuesday.

Advice: Thornton probably deserves more reps in Houston, but coach J.B. Bickerstaff likes Corey Brewer too much. His role has been too sporadic and he's basically a hit-or-miss option every night, so he's hard to rely on in most leagues. He scored a combined nine points in his previous two outings on 3-of-15 shooting. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:20 pm
  • Trevor Ariza scores 19 w/ four treys
Trevor Ariza scored 19 points with seven rebounds, two steals and four 3-pointers in Tuesday's loss to the Warriors.

Advice: He was coming off a five-point dud vs. the Blazers, so he redeemed himself tonight. Luckily for Ariza, he will get another shot to get revenge against Portland on Wednesday in a game that will have plenty of playoff-race implications. Ariza should be treated as a top-40 player moving forward as long as he continues to start as the stretch four. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:17 pm
  • Corey Brewer scores nine points in loss
Corey Brewer scored nine points on 3-of-9 shooting with five boards, two assists and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes vs. the Warriors on Tuesday.

Advice: His coach loves him and said that he's "disruptive" on the defensive end, but he really hasn't looked that good other than a 24-point outburst vs. the lowly Suns on Thursday. Brewer will be on the fantasy radar for any owner in need of steals or 3-pointers as long as he continues to start, but he's better suited for deeper leagues until further notice. • Dwight Howard double-doubles vs. Warriors
Dwight Howard double-doubled vs. the Warriors on Tuesday with 16 points, 15 boards, two assists and one block in 34 minutes.

Advice: He shot an efficient 7-of-12 from the field, but it was a different story at the charity stripe where he finished just 2-of-10. Howard was shooting 54.9 percent from the line prior to Tuesday, so even this was really bad by his standards. To make matters worse, he turned the ball over four times and will now have to face the Blazers on the second night of a back-to-back set. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:09 pm
  • James Harden drops 37 points in loss
James Harden (finger) dropped 37 points in Tuesday's loss to the Warriors, adding five boards and five assists in 40 minutes.

Advice: His finger wasn't an issue tonight and he was very solid on the defensive end with three steals and one block, but his biggest accomplishment was holding Klay Thompson to 13 points on 5-of-19 shooting. Harden hit six 3-pointers in the loss, but he will need to be on top of his game again on Wednesday in a crucial matchup with the Blazers. Both the Rockets and the Blazers have 27 losses on the season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:01 pm
  • Andre Iguodala scores 12 points off bench
Andre Iguodala scored 12 points off the bench on Tuesday vs. the Rockets with six assists, six boards and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: This was his first game with double-digit points since Jan. 22, so this performance doesn't move the needle much for Iguodala. Harrison Barnes is playing well again and the Warriors are healthy, so his production is going to be hard to rely on in standard leagues. He's also a candidate to get a couple of maintenance days down the stretch. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
  • Tyreke Evans (knee) likely out for the season
Tyreke Evans plans to undergo surgery on his right knee and will likely miss the rest of the 2015-16 season.

Advice: This is a tough blow for Evans and the Pelicans, but it sounds like the wise decision because there is no reason for him to play at less than 100 percent in what has become a lost season for New Orleans. This could have a significant impact on the Pelicans at the trade deadline as they may be more willing to become sellers. If Evans goes through with the surgery, Jrue Holiday and Norris Cole look like the primary beneficiaries, while Bryce Dejean-Jones could be signed for the remainder of the season. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:42 pm
  • Warriors make history, improve to 47-4
Stephen Curry helped the Warriors improve to 47-4 on the season in Tuesday's win over the Rockets, scoring 35 points with nine assists.

Advice: With the win, the Warriors now have the best start in NBA history through 51 games and they also earned their 42nd-straight regular-season win at home. Curry has been the best player in the NBA and in fantasy basketball this season and this team is determined to beat the Chicago Bulls' all-time record of 72 wins in a season which was set in 1996. Curry added five boards, one steal and seven 3-pointers in 38 minutes and gets a date with the Suns on Thursday. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:34 pm
  • Andrew Bogut double-doubles w/ 6 blocks
Andrew Bogut was phenomenal in Tuesday's win over the Rockets with 13 points, 11 boards, six blocks, three steals, and one assist in 29 minutes.

Advice: The Blocks were obviously a season high and the 29 minutes were the most he has seen since Jan. 13. The Warriors ramped up his playing time tonight due to the matchup with Dwight Howard, so don't read too much into this line. He was averaging 2.0 points, 6.0 boards, 4.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 19.0 minutes in his previous two games, so he's not a great add in most leagues. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:23 pm
  • Marreese Speights plays well off the bench
Marreese Speights played well off the bench on Tuesday vs. the Rockets, scoring 15 points with four rebounds and one 3-pointer in 12 minutes.

Advice: He scored 15 points in his last outing and has taken firm control of the backup center spot with Festus Ezeli (knee) out indefinitely. However, Speights is only going to play minutes in the teens on most occasions, so he's not a great add outside of deeper formats. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:22 pm
  • Ray Felton scores 17 with nice line off bench
Raymond Felton hit 5-of-9 shots, a 3-pointer and 6-of-6 free throws for 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists and a steal in Tuesday's overtime loss.

Advice: He hit a big shot late in regulation to help force overtime and has scored in double figures in four of his last five games. If you need guard help, there's a decent chance he's available in your league. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:25 pm
  • Wes Matthews breaks out of slump with 16
Wesley Matthews, who hadn't scored more than nine points in three straight games, hit 5-of-9 shots and two 3-pointers for 16 points, two rebounds and three assists in Tuesday's loss to the Jazz.

Advice: The minutes are there for Matthews, but he's shooting just 40 percent from the floor over his last five games. Hopefully tonight was a sign that he's going to get hot soon, but we'll have to wait until Feb. 19 to find out if it's going to happen. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:23 pm
  • Deron Williams scores 23 in loss to Jazz
Deron Williams hit 5-of-12 shots, two 3-pointers and 11-of-13 free throws for 23 points, two rebounds, five assists and a steal in 42 minutes of Tuesday's overtime loss to the Jazz, his former team.

Advice: The Jazz play good defense and Williams was probably motivated against his former team, even though years have passed. He struggled with eight points on 3-of-9 shooting in his return from a hip injury on Friday, but has played very well in his last two games. Hopefully he uses the All-Star break to get fully healthy and keeps it going after the break. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:21 pm
  • Patty Mills plays just 16 minutes in win
Patty Mills played 16 minutes and hit 2-of-6 shots and two 3-pointers for eight points, three rebounds, one assist and a steal on Tuesday.

Advice: Mills was playing very well coming into this one and offers some intrigue due to Manu Ginobili's surgery, but as long as he's coming off the bench for Gregg Popovich, new owners have to realize that nights like this one could happen more often than they'd like. He's still worth a deep-league grab with Manu out, but he's not an automatic starter. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:06 pm
  • Danny Green scores 15, finally getting hot
Danny Green played 31 minutes and hit 6-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, a block and two 3-pointers in a win over the Heat on Tuesday.

Advice: This is the type of line his owners were expecting when they drafted Green in October, but it took him until late January to finally start being productive. He's averaging 11.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.6 3-pointers over his last five games, shooting 47 percent in 30 minutes a game. If he was dropped in your league by a disgruntled owner, hopefully you were able to cash in. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:01 pm
  • James Harden (finger) will play vs. Warriors
James Harden (finger) will play Tuesday vs. the Warriors.

Advice: Harden is not on the Rockets' injury report, and was a full participant during shootaround, so there's no reason to believe he'll miss Tuesday's matchup against the defending champs. Go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 2:01 pm
  • Report: NO could move Tyreke Evans, Gordon?
The Pelicans are reportedly open to moving either Tyreke Evans (knee) or Eric Gordon (finger).

Advice: While Evans' talent is undeniable, his surgically repaired right knee has become a major issue, so the Pelicans may be willing to move on from the oft-injured guard. The same can be said for Gordon, as he has never made it through a full 82-game season, so it'll be interesting to see if New Orleans makes a move at the deadline. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:44 pm
  • James Harden (finger) says he is fine
James Harden (finger) believes that he should be all right.

Advice: "My middle finger bent back," Harden said. "It's swollen a little bit, but it should be all right." Harden didn't play down the stretch in Sunday's game vs. the Blazers, but it was likely due to the lopsided score and he said that it would've have been "pointless" for him to keep playing. Harden should be considered day-to-day, but it would be surprising if he didn't play vs. the Warriors on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 7:21 am
  • Stephen Curry scores 26, Warriors beat OKC
Stephen Curry scored a team-high 26 points during a 116-108 win over the Thunder on Saturday, adding six rebounds, 10 assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: OKC held Steph in check for just his second game with just one 3-pointer this season. The Warriors were still able to get a win after blowing an 18-point lead and are currently on pace for the best record ever at 46-4. As for Curry, that one trey makes it 121 consecutive games with one triple while he also became No. 3 on the franchise's all-time steals list. He is making last year's MVP run seem ordinary. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:46 pm
  • Danny Green scores 11 points in win
Danny Green scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting with five boards, two assists, one steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 29 minutes in a win over the Lakers on Saturday.

Advice: His production has been sporadic all season, but nights like these are why it's so difficult for us to let him go. Green is now averaging 9.6 points, 5.0 boards, 1.4 assists, 0.6 blocks, 0.6 steals and 2.4 3-pointers over his last five games which is only good for top-100 value, but he's still a hold in standard leagues as long as you have some patience. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:34 pm
  • Deron Williams scores 22 w/ 11 dimes
Deron Williams had 22 points to go with 11 assists, two boards, one steal and two 3-pointers in Saturday's overtime win over the Grizzlies.

Advice: He was awful on Friday vs. the Spurs with just eight points on 3-of-9 shooting in 27 minutes, but he looked rejuvenated vs. the Grizzlies and this was one of his best performances of the season. He shot 8-of-20 from the field and didn't turn the ball over once, so hopefully he carries this momentum into Tuesday's game vs. the Jazz. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:15 pm
  • Raymond Felton scores 16 points off bench
Raymond Felton scored 16 points off the bench on Saturday vs. the Grizzlies with seven boards, one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: Wesley Matthews was benched down the stretch and finished with just eight points, but coach Rick Carlisle was simply riding the hot hand in Felton. He scored just six points in his previous outing in 21 minutes, so he would have to do this again to be on the radar in standard leagues. To be clear, Matthews' spot in the lineup is not in jeopardy. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:14 pm
  • Trevor Ariza finally cools off
Trevor Ariza scored five points with five rebounds, four steals and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: At least the steals were there in Ariza's worst game since the lineup change. Before this dud, he was putting up first-round value as the starting power forward. Keep him active and it's fair to expect him to be a top-40 player going forward. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:04 pm
  • Dwight Howard scores 17 in 41 minutes
Dwight Howard played 41 minutes against the Blazers on Saturday with 17 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and four steals.

Advice: The minutes are a good sign for Dwight and his minutes cap is obviously gone. Howard even played in garbage time tonight, so that's a ringing endorsement of his current health. He gets a fun matchup against the Warriors on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 5:02 pm
  • James Harden scores 33, hurts right hand
James Harden suffered an apparent minor right hand injury on Saturday, finishing with 33 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block, four 3-pointers and 10 turnovers.

Advice: He had ice on his hand for most of the fourth quarter because the Rockets were blown out tonight. Harden did play through his hand issue for a few minutes before going to the bench, so chances are this is minor. He also took the ice pack off his hand for the final two minutes. For now, there shouldn't be much concern, but you never know when it comes to a hand injury. We'll pass along any info if he needs an X-ray. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 4:36 pm
  • Tyreke Evans (knee) out until All-Star break
Tyreke Evans (knee) has been shut down until the All-Star break.

Advice: "Hopefully he’ll be ready to go right after the All-Star break and we’ll be able to play him for the rest of the stretch [of the schedule]," coach Alvin Gentry said. His owners should stash him in an IR spot, but it's still possible that he could be shut down during the final weeks of the season if the Pelicans are not in the playoff hunt. In the meantime, Bryce Dejean-Jones will continue to start and is worth a look in deeper leagues. Jrue Holiday will benefit as well. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 3:15 pm
  • Bickerstaff praises Corey Brewer
Rockets coach J.B. Bickerstaff said that Corey Brewer is "disruptive" on the defensive end.

Advice: "He's disruptive," Bickerstaff said. "When he's able to get steals, that's when his offense starts. His offense starts on the defensive end of the court. It's a steal for us. It's a defensive rebound for us and then it's a quick outlet. When we're getting stops, that's when [Brewer] is at his best." Brewer scored 24 points against the Suns on Thursday and is still starting at small forward, but he was struggling prior to that game. Unless he does this again, he's better suited for deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 7:57 am
  • Wesley Matthews scores four points in 23 mins
Wesley Matthews couldn't get anything going during Friday's blowout loss to the Spurs, tallying just four points on 2-of-5 shooting with one rebound, two assists, one block and one turnover in 23 minutes.

Advice: The Mavs were blown out badly in this one, and the game was essentially over after the first-quarter. Wesley was noticeably upset after the game saying it was the most "embarrassing game" he's ever been a part of "at any level." Matthews has been struggling over the past month, knocking down just 34.5 percent of his shots, and it might not get any better any time soon with Dallas set to play Memphis on Saturday and Utah on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:23 pm
  • Deron Williams hits 3-of-9 shots in 27 mins
Deron Williams' struggles continued on Friday as he only connected on 3-of-9 shots on his way to eight points, three rebounds, three assists and one turnover in 27 minutes.

Advice: Williams has been struggling mightily over the past month, owning meager averages of 11.7 points, 4.6 assists, 1.0 three-pointer and 2.3 turnovers per game on 38.5 percent shooting. Those numbers have him ranking well outside the top 150 in standard leagues, although he still offers too much upside to outright drop. Perhaps he can get things back on track after the All-Star break. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:14 pm
  • Patty Mills scores 16 points with two treys
Patty Mills scored 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting Friday to go with two 3-pointers and four rebounds in 15 minutes of floor time.

Advice: Mills could have some more minutes falling his way with Manu Ginobili (testicular surgery) set to spend at least the next month on the sidelines, but he's not much more than a 3-point specialist in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:05 pm
  • Danny Green scores eight points w/ two treys
Danny Green scored eight points on 3-of-8 shooting Friday, to go with two 3-pointers, four boards, one assist and one turnover in 27 minutes.

Advice: Mr. Green has become elite at following up productive outing with meaningless stat lines, although he has managed to produce fifth-round value in 9-cat leagues over the past two weeks with averages of 9.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.7 three-pointers on 45.7 percent shooting. He can be truly infuriating to own, but with the upward trend, he's a hold in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:22 pm
  • Deron Williams (hip bruise) will play Friday
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) will play vs. the Spurs on Friday.

Advice: D-Will hurt himself on Monday but only missed one game, a good sign for fantasy owners given his lengthy injury history. With Devin Harris (toe) doubtful to return prior to the All-Star break, there should still be extra minutes for backup guards J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton. Rotoworld.com Friday, 4:57 pm
  • Tyreke Evans (knee) ruled out for Saturday
Tyreke Evans (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday against the Cavs.

Advice: The Pelicans are talking about a shutdown, but it's not in their plans right now. There's a decent chance we don't see Evans back out there this week. Bryce Dejean-Jones was very good on Thursday and should get more starts. Norris Cole also benefits and hopeful he can stay out of foul trouble. Rotoworld.com Friday, 2:23 pm
  • Rockets gauging interest in Dwight Howard?
According to Yahoo Sports, the Rockets have been gauging interest in Dwight Howard.

Advice: The Celtics were one of the teams involved, but those talks have cooled because they don't want to part with any of their key assets or picks. The Rockets have downplayed the rumors, but if they didn't then that would reduce their leverage in trade talks. Howard is 30 years old with back and knee concerns, so several teams around the league would be hesitant to take a chance on him, especially considering he will be a free agent this summer. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:58 am
  • Deron Williams (hip) listed as questionable
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) has been listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Coach Rick Carlisle is "hopeful" to have him back in the lineup and Williams said on Thursday that he would give it a go, but we should have a concrete answer after the Mavs' shootaround. For now, it sounds safe to pencil him back into lineups. J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton will lose some value if D-Will plays. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:05 am
  • James Harden scores just 17 points
James Harden was quiet during a 111-105 win over the Suns on Thursday, scoring 17 points with nine rebounds, six assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 4-of-19 from the field.

Advice: Interestingly, coach J.B. Bickerstaff pulled all of his starters four minutes into the the game because of sloppy play. They obviously turned it around, though. Harden usually lights up the Suns and he is also solid on the road, so this is a shocking letdown. He'll be fine and should be a top-five player going forward in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:30 pm
  • Trevor Ariza goes off again, scores 22
Trevor Ariza went off again with 22 points, three rebounds, two assists, four steals and three 3-pointers against the Suns on Thursday.

Advice: He was killer as a power forward last year with Kevin McHale, but now he's rolling in that role again with coach J.B. Bickerstaff. Since being shifted to power forward back on Jan. 22, he averaged 17.9 points, 4.3 boards, 2.5 assists, 2.4 steals and 3.8 treys. That's good for top-10 value in that span and has boosted him to fourth-round value on the year now. If you bought low, you look really smart. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:26 pm
  • Corey Brewer scores game-high 24 points
Corey Brewer scored a game-high 24 points against Suns on Thursday with one assist, four steals and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

Advice: The Rockets scored 26 points in fast break, so that kind of output there is right up Brewer's alley. In his previous starts, Brewer only has averages of 9.6 points, 3.4 boards, 1.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 treys on 38.8 percent from the field. If you want to ride him while he's played better, hopefully you're not dropping anything of value. He's not an add in standard leagues yet. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:15 pm
  • Dwight Howard scores 5, doesn't get ejected
Dwight Howard scored five points with 16 rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in 33 minutes against the Suns.

Advice: Hey, at least he didn't get ejected tonight. Howard's minutes were solid at 33, but Alex Len played nice defense on him. He'll be fine as long as he avoids getting more technical fouls. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:08 pm
  • Tyreke Evans (knee) out for Thursday
Tyreke Evans (knee) will not play against the Lakers on Thursday.

Advice: Coach Alvin Gentry was asked about a shut down and said they are evaluating it, but it's not in the plan right now. Evans hasn't warmed up in over a week and the Pelicans haven't set a date for him to return. Bryce Dejean-Jones will get a start and hopefully the Pelicans don't play Toney Douglas 22 minutes like they did on Wednesday. Norris Cole and Jrue Holiday should be locked into lineups. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 4:58 pm
  • Report: Rockets intend to keep Dwight Howard
The Rockets reportedly have no intention of trading away Dwight Howard.

Advice: Howard's name has been popping up in the rumor mill as of late, but for now, it would appear that the trade speculation involving big D-12 is nothing more than rumors. Howard would prefer to remain in Houston, and one source of ESPN insists that the Rockets have yet to have any "meaningful conversations" regarding Dwight. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:19 pm
  • Deron Williams (hip) says he'll play Friday
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) said after Thursday's practice that he'll play Friday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Rick Carlisle wouldn't officially confirm Williams' status, but he did say he was hopeful Deron would be out there, so it's looking like he'll play vs. the Spurs. With Williams active, J.J. Barea will return to the bench and Raymond Felton's minutes will take a hit. Owners should check back for official confirmation on Deron following Friday morning's shootaround. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 12:17 pm
  • Carlisle hopeful Williams can play Friday
Rick Carlisle said that he's hopeful to have Deron Williams (right hip contusion) available for Friday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Williams sat out Wednesday's game with the hip injury, but he was moving around better at shootaround, and he said after Thursday's practice that he'll play on Friday. Williams return to the lineup would result in J.J. Barea heading back to the bench, and there would be less minutes available for Raymond Felton. Check back for another update on Williams following Friday morning's shootaround, but it sounds like he'll be out there. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:48 am
  • Tyreke Evans doubtful for Thursday vs Lakers
Tyreke Evans (knee) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Lakers.

Advice: Evans sat against the Spurs on Wednesday, so it wouldn't be a huge shock to see him sit again on Thursday. We'll keep an eye out for his status, but it looks like Bryce Dejean-Jones will get another start while Norris Cole and Jrue Holiday would also benefit from Evans' absence. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 9:32 am
  • Marcus Thornton enjoys playing next to Harden
Marcus Thornton expressed his desire to play more alongside James Harden.

Advice: Thornton played alongside Harden more on Tuesday and responded with 18 points off the bench. "I was talking about that this morning," Thornton said. "I love playing with James. Teams are more focused on him. That gives me wide-open shots. In return, I can play-make for him and get him wide-open shots, too." Thornton may get an opportunity to play more alongside Harden, but his minutes are too inconsistent to warrant a roster spot in standard fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 7:56 am
  • Dwight Howard shoots down trade rumors
Dwight Howard attempted to shoot down trade rumors involving the Celtics.

Advice: There had been reports that the Celtics were interested in acquiring Howard's services, but D-12 did his best to downplay those rumors. "There's always going into be rumors and speculation," Howard said. "I don't want to pay attention to it. I didn't say it. What can I do? There's nothing I can say." Howard can opt-out of his contract after the season, so there is some incentive for the Rockets to explore his trade value. For now, fantasy owners should continue to start Howard as long as he's healthy as he's averaging 14.4 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.6 blocks, and 1.0 steals on 60.8 percent shooting from the field. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:46 am
  • Danny Green scores 16 points in 39 minutes
Danny Green scored 16 points with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in a season-high 39 minutes against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

Advice: Green did not hit the 30-minute mark in any game since Jan. 8, so this is a shock. He has more ups and downs than an entire amusement park of roller coasters, but Green is putting up value. In 2016, he has put up sixth-round value in his last 15 games, so it's hard to complain too much. Keep him owned in all leagues and remember not to complain to your friends too much about the bad Green nights. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:01 pm
  • Stephen Curry scores 51 with 11 triples
Stephen Curry scored 51 points during a 134-121 win over the Wizards on Wednesday, adding seven rebounds, two assists, three steals, seven turnovers and a career-high-tying 11 3-pointers.

Advice: He was a ridiculous 13-of-14 from the field in the first half with eight treys, which gave him a laughable 121.4 effective field goal percentage. Curry was coming off his worst game of the season from an efficiency standpoint, but he definitely got it right back. He became the first player to hit more than 10 treys in multiple games. Get ready for a great game on Saturday night with Steph vs. Russell Westbrook. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:20 pm
  • Tyreke Evans (knee) out for Wednesday
Tyreke Evans (knee) will not play against the Spurs on Wednesday.

Advice: He was doubtful to play and will miss his fourth game. The Pelicans need to start winning games to prevent Evans from being a shut-down candidate. It'll be Bryce Dejean-Jones starting while Norris Cole also benefits. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 4:12 pm
  • Report: Dwight Howard to Boston unlikely
The reported talks between Boston and Houston revolving around Dwight Howard are unlikely to advance past the discussion phase, according to sources of A. Sherrod Blakely.

Advice: Boston is reportedly looking to add a low-post scorer so that they can become more efficient in halfcourt sets, but both health and attitude concerns for the 30-year-old veteran have the Celtics hesitant to give up much to land big D-12. He's also likely to opt-out of his contract this offseason in order to hit free agency, so it doesn't seem likely that the Celtics will give up meaningful assets for what could be a half-year rental. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:37 am
  • Deron Williams (hip) out Wednesday vs. Miami
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Heat.

Advice: Williams was moving around better during Wednesday morning's shootaround, but the Mavs won't rush anything with the oft-injured point guard. It'll be Raymond Felton and J.J. Barea seeing an uptick in minutes tonight with both Williams and Devin Harris (toe) out, with Barea likely to enter the starting lineup. The Mavs play the Spurs on Friday, so we'll be considering Williams questionable for that one. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 9:37 am
  • NBA rescinds one technical foul for Howard
The league has decided to rescind one technical foul for Dwight Howard, bringing his total for the season down to 11.

Advice: Howard is going to need to do a much better job of controlling his emotions as he was ejected in back-to-back games to close out the month of January, and he was also suspended for Tuesday's game for making contact with an official during Saturday’s loss to the Wizards. If D12 gets to 16 techs, he'll face another one-game suspension. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:58 am
  • Deron Williams (hip) questionable Wednesday
Deron Williams (right hip contusion) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Heat.

Advice: Williams was forced out of Monday's loss to the Hawks with the hip injury, and Rick Carlisle said after the game that he was "concerned" about the injury, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Dallas err on the side of caution with the oft-injured point guard and keep him out of Wednesday's game. J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton will benefit if Williams is forced to miss any time. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:04 am
  • Report: Boston interested in Dwight Howard?
The Celtics have reportedly reached out to the Rockets to discuss the availability of Dwight Howard.

Advice: At 30 years old, and set to hit free agency this offseason, Dwight isn't a great fit at all with the Celtics. It doesn't seem very likely that Celtics GM Danny Ainge would be willing to give up much to land the Houston big man, so it doesn't seem likely that anything will come of this report. • Marcus Thornton scores 18 off HOU bench
Marcus Thornton got hot and hit 7-of-11 shots and four 3-pointers for 18 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal in Tuesday's win.

Advice: Thornton didn't even play on Saturday and scored two points in each of his previous two games, so if you had him in a DFS lineup tonight, pat yourself on the back. He goes on hot streaks occasionally, but has been far too inconsistent to plug into a standard lineup. And he was also up for some extra run tonight with Dwight Howard suspended and Clint Capela out with a thigh injury. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:30 pm
  • James Harden hands out season-high 14 dimes
James Harden hit 10-of-19 shots and three 3-pointers on his way to 26 points, four rebounds, a season-high 14 assists, two steals and a block in Tuesday's win over the Heat.

Advice: It wasn't a 40-point bomb like he dropped on Saturday, but it was pretty darn good. And don't look now, but he's hit at least half his shots in four of his last five games. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:24 pm
  • Trevor Ariza scores 9, but fills stat sheet
Trevor Ariza hit just 4-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer, but finished Tuesday's game with nine points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.

Advice: He wasn't great tonight, but did a little bit of everything, salvaging a decent line. He was red hot a week ago, but has scored nine or fewer points in three of his last four games. He should go on another hot streak at some point, but it's anyone's guess as to when it happens. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:19 pm
  • Tyreke Evans (knee) doubtful Wednesday vs. SA
Tyreke Evans (right knee) is doubtful to play Wednesday vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Evans has missed the past three games do to tendinitis in his surgically repaired right knee, and it's looking like that number will hit four on Wednesday. Bryce Dejean-Jones should continue to start with Evans out, with Jrue Holiday being asked to do more on offense. Check back for official confirmation on Evans closer to Wednesday's tip. • Dwight Howard suspended for Tuesday vs MIA
Dwight Howard has been suspended for Tuesday's game against the Heat.

Advice: Howard will miss Tuesday's game for contacting an official during Saturday's game against the Wizards. Howard will be back for Thursday's game against the Suns, while Clint Capela, Josh Smith, and Terrence Jones will all see a boost in value on Tuesday night. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 8:57 am
  • Deron Williams suffered hip-to-hip collision
Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said Deron Williams (hip contusion) suffered a "hip-to-hip" collision in Monday's loss to the Hawks.

Advice: Williams was walking with a noticeable limp after Monday's game and is considered day-to-day going forward. We'll have updates after shootaround on Wednesday, but J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton are both in line for more minutes if D-Will is unable to suit up against the Heat (and beyond) Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 7:28 am
  • Patty Mills scores season-high 22 points
Patty Mills scored a season-high 22 points with four rebounds, five assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in just 21 minutes against the Magic on Monday.

Advice: This comes out of nowhere with only four points on Saturday. Mills hasn't been great these days and managed to make just 34.6 percent from the field in January. He'll need to do it a few more times to be considered as a pickup. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:54 pm
  • Ray Felton gets 25 minutes
Raymond Felton moved back to the bench against the Hawks on Monday with 13 points, one rebound, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes.

Advice: Deron Williams (hip) getting hurt should open up a few extra minutes for Felton. Plus, he might get added run if the Mavs rest Dirk Nowitzki on Friday or Saturday. Barea is still the better pickup, but give Felton a look. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:12 pm
  • Tyreke Evans (knee) ruled out on Monday night
Tyreke Evans (knee) will not play against the Grizzlies on Monday.

Advice: There is nothing structurally wrong, but the Pelicans likely want all of his tendinitis to go away. With Evans out, it'll be Bryce Dejean-Jones starting while Jrue Holiday and Norris Cole also benefit. Rotoworld.com Monday, 4:22 pm
  • Tyreke Evans (knee) likely won't play Monday
Tyreke Evans (knee) likely won't play vs. the Grizzlies on Monday.

Advice: The Pelicans are going to be cautious, but the team is saying that he could play if it was a playoff game. Evans is a shut-down candidate unless the Pelicans can get back into the playoff hunt, so his owners should be concerned. Bryce Dejean-Jones should get another start, while Jrue Holiday and Norris Cole will both benefit. Rotoworld.com Monday, 3:27 pm
  • Kerr compares Curry to Price and Steve Nash
Steve Kerr recently compared Stephen Curry to Mark Price and Steve Nash for his offensive abilities.

Advice: "The two guys I’d maybe compare him the most to are Mark Price and Steve Nash in terms of the combination of ball-handling and passing and shooting range and creativity," Nash said. "But Steph has taken it to a new level. But he’s taken it to a new level in terms of just the range, the ballhanding and creativity. It’s pretty special." We agree, coach. We agree. • Stephen Curry struggles vs. the Knicks
Stephen Curry struggled against the Knicks on Sunday, scoring 13 points on just 5-of-17 shooting.

Advice: The Warriors got off to a brutal start to the game and had their lowest-scoring quarter of the season with 18 in the first, but they still got the job done to secure their seventh straight win. The Warriors are now 44-4 on the season and Curry will look to get back on track vs. the Wizards on Wednesday. He added four boards, four assists, three steals and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes. He has a minor cut on his forehead, but he's obviously going to be fine. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 7:19 pm
  • Wes Matthews' slump continues w/ 2-of-12 FGs
Wes Matthews' slump continued on Sunday, as he shot just 2-of-12 from the field to finish with seven points, four boards, one assist and one steal in 34 minutes.

Advice: The Mavs started a favorable stretch of their schedule with an easy win vs. the Suns, pushing them to within one game of the No. 5 seed Grizzlies. Matthews couldn't join the party offensively, going 1-of-8 from downtown, and he's now averaging just 6.8 points on 10-of-36 shooting in the Mavs' past four games. The perimeter gunner will look to get on track vs. the struggling Hawks on Monday. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 7:17 pm
  • Raymond Felton logs 36 minutes w/ Dirk out
Raymond Felton started in place of Dirk Nowitzki (rest) on Sunday, notching 10 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals without any turnovers in 36 minutes.

Advice: Dirk has missed six games this season, with five of those DNPs coming during back-to-back sets. The Mavs play another back-to-back on Feb. 5/6, so Felton could earn another start if Nowitzki's four-game week is trimmed to three. The veteran guard is still just an occasional punt option in DFS leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 7:16 pm
  • Andre Iguodala plays 23 minutes in win
Andre Iguodala (rest) returned from a one-game absence on Sunday vs. the Knicks and finished with eight points, four assists, four boards and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

Advice: He hit his only two shot attempts from the field and had a couple of turnovers, but the Warriors didn't really need him tonight because they took care of business early on. Iguodala was averaging 6.6 points, 4.0 boards, 3.4 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.7 3-pointers during the month of January prior to Sunday, so he's not a must-own player in standard leagues while the Warriors are healthy. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 6:58 pm
  • Raymond Felton will start on Sunday
Raymond Felton will start on Sunday vs. the Suns.

Advice: Dirk Nowitzki (rest) is getting the night off, so Chandler Parsons will start at power forward and Wesley Matthews will move to the three. Felton has been solid this season, but he's nothing more than a short-term option in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com Jan 31, 3:58 pm
  • Harden drops 40, Rockets lose third straight
James Harden dropped 40 points in Saturday's 123-122 loss to the Wizards, adding 11 assists, seven boards, four steals and six 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: The Wizards had no answer for him on the defensive end and he even fouled Garrett Temple out of the game. The Rockets have lost three straight games, but Harden has been playing some incredible ball with averages of 30.2 points, 8.6 boards, 7.6 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.0 blocks and 3.0 treys over his last five games.
