Anunoby (hamstring) has been ruled out for Game 3 against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: This is a brutal blow to the Knicks, as it'll be tough to replace what Anunoby brings to the team. His absence should open up minutes for Precious Achiuwa and Alec Burks, and guys like Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo will be asked to step it up on offense. Anunoby has been ruled ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's Game 2 against the Pacers with left hamstring soreness. He finished with 28 points (10-19 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one block in 28 minutes prior to departing.

Advice: Anunoby went straight to the locker room and was grabbing at his left hamstring after a shot attempt late in the third period. He'll be unable to return to the contest, and given the nature of his injury, his availability for Friday's Game 3 in Indiana would seem to be in jeopardy. The Knicks have already been running a thin rotation with the likes of Mitchell Robinson (ankle), Bojan Bogdanovic (foot) and Julius Randle (shoulder) having been ruled out for the season, so head coach Tom Thibodeau may need to call upon reserves such as Precious Achiuwa, Miles McBride and Alec Burks to take on more minutes if Anunoby can't play in Game 3. Kyrie Irving led Dallas with 20 points (7-of-14 FGs), one rebound, three assists, two steals, one block and three triples in a 117-95 loss to the Thunder in Game 1 on Tuesday.

Advice: After scoring just six points in the first half, Irving once again turned it on for the second half and scored nine points in the third, which included a contested 3-pointer just before the buzzer. He was consistently better in the second half during their first round series against the Clippers, but his production in the second half of this game wasn’t enough to secure a win on the road. Victor Wembanyama has been named the 2023-24 NBA Rookie of the Year.

Advice: While there was some suspense earlier in the season while Wembanyama was dealing with an ankle injury, the Spurs sensation took the league by storm once healthy and not playing under any restrictions. Wemby became the first player in NBA history to amass at least 1,500 points, 700 rebounds, 250 assists, 250 blocks, and 100 3-pointers. He became the first unanimous winner of the award since Karl-Anthony Towns in 2016, with Oklahoma City’s Chet Holmgren finishing second. Rounding out the top five were Brandon Miller (Charlotte), Jaime Jaquez Jr. (Miami), and Brandin Podziemski (Golden State). Wembanyama is also the first player from France to win the award. Norman Powell finished Friday’s 114-101 loss to the Mavericks with 20 points (6-of-14 FGs, 6-of-8 FTs), four rebounds, and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: Powell played a series-high 36 minutes in Game 6, hitting the 20-point mark for the first time since he scored 21 in Game 3. The Clippers playing without Kawhi Leonard resulted in more opportunities for Norm, even if he remained in a reserve role. Powell was once again one of the NBA’s most productive bench scorers, but his fantasy value will remain capped as long as the Clippers have Paul George and Kawhi Leonard on the wings. Powell is under contract for two more seasons, and unless George were to opt out and leave, his place within the Clippers’ rotation is unlikely to change in 2024-25.
