    • Carl Landry upgraded to questionable on Wed
Carl Landry has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Raptors.

Advice: He has been out since Jan. 13 nursing a sprained wrist, so even he does end up playing he probably won't see a lot of minutes. Landry has been solid off the bench for Sacramento, but until his role improves he will only be an option in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge says he's back for good
LaMarcus Aldridge is not planning on sitting out any more games, and he will delay his surgery until the offseason.

Advice: "As of now, I’m back," said Aldridge. "But if I get [my thumb] whacked or if something happens where I can’t tolerate it and I’m not playing at a good enough level to help the team, then I’ll have surgery. But as of now, I think they have done a good job of protecting it, so I’m back for the season and then I’ll just have surgery in the offseason." Owners will just have to hope he can stay healthy, but coming off a 26-point outing, his production is not going to be an issue. Rotoworld.com

    • Danny Granger will start Tuesday vs. MIL
Danny Granger is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game vs. the Bucks with Luol Deng (sore calf) unavailable.

Advice: Granger doesn't have a favorable matchup tonight, and he has failed to do much in the past with the starting role. Through three starts this season Granger has averaged 4.7 points on 41.7 percent shooting, not great. James Ennis will likely see some extended minutes off the bench, but he too makes for a very risky option in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Luol Deng (calf) out Tuesday vs. the Bucks
Luol Deng (sore calf) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Bucks.

Advice: Danny Granger is expected to slide into the starting lineup with Deng sidelined, but with averages of just 4.7 points on 41.7 percent shooting with the starting unit this season, there's not much to like here. James Ennis will also see some increased opportunity, but he's been far too inconsistent to rely upon in most leagues. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will be tasked with more responsibilities on offense, and they look like the best plays in daily leagues with Deng unavailable. Rotoworld.com

    • Paul George (leg) still not taking contact
Head coach Frank Vogel said that Paul George (leg) has increased his workload, but he's still being limited to non-contact work.

Advice: George remains extremely unlikely to suit up this season, so he can remain on the waiver wire unless you're in a keeper league. We'll continue to provide updates on his progress, but there's been no indication that he will play this year. Rotoworld.com

    • Mirza Teletovic (blood clots) cannot fly
Mirza Teletovic (blood clots in lungs) will need to be driven across the US back to Brooklyn after being discharged from an LA hospital, as it is too dangerous for him to fly.

Advice: Teletovic is set to miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season, and we wish him the best in his recovery. It's not clear exactly how long Teletovic will be unable to fly, but if this is a long-term thing, it could put his career in jeopardy. Teletovic's reserve minutes will likely fall to guys like Cory Jefferson, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Brook Lopez. Rotoworld.com

    • Luol Deng (calf) a game-time decision Tuesday
Luol Deng (sore calf) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game vs. the Bucks.

Advice: Deng was listed as doubtful earlier, so an upgrade to a game-time decision can be viewed as a positive thing. However, if he is forced to sit, Danny Granger and James Ennis would likely split his minutes, though neither guy offers much upside. Dwyane Wade however would be tasked with more responsibilities on offense if Deng is out, and he'd make for the best play in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard tweaks ankle during practice
Dwight Howard tweaked his right ankle during Tuesday's practice, and remains a game-time decision for Wednesday's game vs. Dallas.

Advice: "It wasn’t as bad as when it happened, but I had to sit out of practice, so we’ll see how it feels [Wednesday]," Howard said. "Hopefully I can play, but if not, we still have a great chance to win the game." While Joey Dorsey would draw the start if Howard sits, Josh Smith and Donatas Motiejunas would see the biggest increase in value. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young getting an MRI on his ankle Tues.
Updating a previous report, Nick Young is currently undergoing an MRI on his sprained right ankle, and is looking unlikely for Tuesday's game vs. the Wizards.

Advice: We'll have a better idea of Young's status once the results of the MRI are released, but at this point it would be shocking if he's able to play. The Lakers are currently calling his injury a moderate sprain, and if he's forced to sit, Wayne Ellington, Jordan Clarkson, and Jeremy Lin would all stand to benefit. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum says his wrist mostly pain-free
Nicolas Batum did some shooting during Tuesday's practice, and said that his wrist has improved to the point that he's mostly pain-free.

Advice: Batum remains questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Cavs, but it appears that he is going to try and give it a go. Owners will need to check back closer to Wednesday's tip-off for an official update, but if he's ruled out, look for Wesley Matthews, Damian Lillard, and LaMarcus Aldridge to pick up the slack. • Nick Young (ankle) will not play on Tuesday
Nick Young (ankle) will not play against the Wizards on Tuesday.

Advice: He sprained his ankle in practice on Monday and the Lakers will allow him to heal. Young made just 33.3 percent from the field over the last month and remains one of the worst players inside of the arc. He's not a must-own player and his efficiency has dropped without Kobe Bryant. With Swaggy out, the Lakers will use some two-point guard sets -- they used those for 11 minutes on Sunday -- and Wayne Ellington will also have some more run in a bad matchup. Jordan Clarkson might benefit the most. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Martin (wrist) will not play Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Kevin Martin (wrist) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Martin was able to resume shooting workouts on Monday after having fluid drained from his surgically-repaired wrist last week, but he will remain sidelined for Wednesday's game. He's likely going to be eased back into the rotation upon his return, so owners will need to remain patient. However, he still offers enough upside to be worth holding onto in most leagues. • UTA to give Chris Johnson 10-day contract
The Jazz are reportedly set to offer Chris Johnson a 10-day contract.

Advice: Johnson was waived by the 76ers earlier in the season after averaging 6.0 points and 2.9 rebounds on 31.7 percent shooting from the field. While the Jazz are in need of a swingman, Johnson is unlikely to offer much value in most leagues. Leave him on the wire for now. Rotoworld.com

    • Joel Freeland (shoulder) out on Wednesday
Joel Freeland (shoulder) will not suit up for Wednesday's game vs. the Cavs, as expected.

Advice: Freeland has been sidelined since Jan. 3, and he isn't even targeting a return until mid-February. With season averages of 3.5 points and 4.5 rebounds, Freeland can safely remain on the waiver wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum (wrist) questionable Wednesday
Nicolas Batum said his wrist is feeling better, but he remains questionable for Wednesday's game against the Cavs.

Advice: Batum perhaps could use some rest as he's been shooting a career-low 38.8 percent from the field this season while dealing with a torn ligament on the outside of his right (shooting) wrist, but he's also a guy known to fight through injuries. However, if he's forced to sit, look for Wesley Matthews, Damian Lillard, and LaMarcus Aldridge to get some more opportunities on offense. Rotoworld.com

    • Terrence Jones could play vs Mavs on Weds
Rockets head coach Kevin McHale said there's a chance that Terrence Jones (leg) could play against the Mavericks on Wednesday.

Advice: Jones was able to go through a full practice on Tuesday and it's looking like there's a chance the Jones will make his season debut on Wednesday against the Mavericks. He'll be battling for minutes with Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith upon his return, so his fantasy value is limited to deeper leagues at this point. Rotoworld.com

    • Jimmy Butler questionable for Tues vs GSW
Jimmy Butler (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Warriors.

Advice: Butler missed Tuesday's shootaround, so his owners should prepare for the possibility that he misses Tuesday's game. We'll update Jimmy's status as soon as more information becomes available, but Aaron Brooks and Kirk Hinrich would be the biggest beneficiaries if Butler sits. Rotoworld.com

    • Terrence Jones questionable for Weds
Terrence Jones (leg) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks.

Advice: This comes as good news as this is the first change to Jones' status in months. Jones doesn't belong on standard league fantasy rosters as he'll likely be eased back into a crowded rotation alongside Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith, but he's worth a flier in deeper leagues. Earl Barron has signed a deal with Shanxi of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Advice: Barron had been laying with the Bakersfield Jam of the D-League, but will now take his talents to Shanxi. He could join an NBA team after the Chinese season ends in February, but there's no reason for fantasy owners to monitor Barron's status going forward. Rotoworld.com

    • Chase Budinger due for minutes increase
Chase Budinger and Glenn Robinson III are likely to see more playing time with Robbie Hummel (hand) out, according to Wolves head coach Flip Saunders.

Advice: "We only have like 11 healthy guys," Saunders said. "Other guys will get opportunities." While both players will get a bump in playing time now that Hummel is due to miss at least the next four weeks, neither will provide much fantasy value outside of being a punt play for daily leaguers. • Kevin Martin hopes to play vs BOS on Weds
Kevin Martin returned to shooting workouts on Monday and is hopeful that he'll be able to play against the Celtics on Wednesday.

Advice: This is the first time that Martin has been able to shoot since he had fluid drained from his surgicallyrepaired wrist nearly a week ago. "It feels better now than it did when I started practicing two weeks ago," said Martin, out since November. "Getting it drained helps a lot. I’ll give it one more hard day of practice and see how I feel." We'll update Martin's status after Wednesday's shootaround, but his eventual return will cut into the production of Mo Williams, Thaddeus Young, and Andrew Wiggins. Rotoworld.com

J.R. Smith told David Aldridge of NBA.com that the lack of nightlife in Cleveland has helped him focus.

Advice: Smith told Aldridge that the he's been able to focus on basketball in Cleveland since there aren't as many distractions as New York City. "I think this is the best situation for me, 'cause there's nothing but basketball," Smith said. "There's nothing you expect but basketball. There's nothing, there's no going out, there's no late nights." Smith is averaging 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals, and 3.8 treys in his last 10 games and deserves to be owned in all standard fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Miles will miss Tuesday's game vs TOR
C.J. Miles (left groin strain) will miss Tuesday's game against the Raptors.

Advice: Miles had put together a couple nice games, but will now miss his second consecutive game due to this groin strain. He's worth holding onto in deeper fantasy leagues, but standard league owners can likely find someone more dependable on the wire. Rodney Stuckey, C.J. Watson, and Damjan Rudez will likely pick up most of Miles' minutes against the Raptors on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com

    • Griffin just misses 3x2; Jordan huge on D
Blake Griffin scored 14 points on 6-of-17 shooting with nine rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and one block in Monday's win over the Nuggets.

Advice: Griffin hasn't fixed his rebounding issue but he has hit 54.7 percent from the field over the past month, lifting his value over that span into the top-20 range. It's unlikely that he shoots at that rate over the long run, and with no improvement to show rebounding the ball this would qualify as a mini sell-high moment. DeAndre Jordan went for seven points, 12 boards, three steals and four blocks in the win. Rotoworld.com

Wilson Chandler scored 18 points on 7-of-18 shooting (including three treys) with 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal in Monday's loss to the Clippers.

Advice: Chandler is playing well and belongs in all lineups, but owners should beware that he is on the trading block and his situation is about as good as it gets right now. Rotoworld.com

    • Afflalo posts solid line against the Clippers
Arron Afflalo scored 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, six assists, three steals and one block on Monday.

Advice: This will be one of Afflalo's better lines due to the versatility and barring a major change he'll continue to return reliable late-round value. Ty Lawson added 19 points and 11 assists in tonight's loss to the Clippers. Rotoworld.com

    • Hickson ineffective in 17 minutes vs. LAC
J.J. Hickson logged just 17 minutes on Monday, putting up two points, five rebounds and two assists.

Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry, Kyle Korver, Wes Matthews and J.J. Redick are five of the six participants in the 3-point contest during All Star Weekend.

Advice: We chose to give Klay the blurb because of his historic night but this is as loaded of a field as we've seen in years. Who will the mystery sixth person be? We're hoping for Kendrick Perkins, but we'll settle for Big Baby. Rotoworld.com

Derrick Favors scored 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting (3-of-7 FTs) with eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and four blocks in the Jazz's 99-90 loss to the Celtics on Monday.

Advice: Favors is a top-50 play and is well-positioned to hold the line or improve as the year goes on. Enes Kanter had a typical 20 and six night with no other stats, and Rudy Gobert was dominant defensively on his way to eight points, 10 boards, two assists and three blocks in 26 minutes. Gordon Hayward scored 26 points on 7-of-17 shooting (including four threes) with six rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks in Monday's home loss to the Celtics.

Nick Young sprained his right ankle in practice on Monday and is questionable to play against the Wizards on Tuesday.

Advice: It's strange timing with Young being benched on Sunday night because coach Byron Scott said Young looked like he "didn't want to be here." He's probably a little closer to doubtful, but his owners will want to check back tomorrow for an update. If he's out, Wayne Ellington, Jeremy Lin and Wes Johnson benefit most. Rotoworld.com

Kevin Martin (wrist) is questionable to play on Monday against the Thunder.

Advice: Martin has been listed as questionable since last week, so there hasn't necessarily been a change in his status. On a seven-win team that's prioritizing rebuilding, Martin appears to be taking his time to return from his wrist injury. The Wolves should have incentive to get him on the floor to showcase him for a potential trade, but not much reason beyond that. Rotoworld.com

Nick Young went scoreless in eight minutes off the Lakers' bench on Sunday, and Byron Scott said afterward that Young looked as though he "didn't want to be here."

Advice: There was no swag tonight as Young missed both of his shot attempts and turned the ball over three times in a sloppy performance which led Scott to bench him. Wilson Chandler filled up the stat sheet on Sunday with 20 points, four 3-pointers, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and only one turnover in 38 minutes.

Advice: Chandler shot 8-of-19 overall and he isn't very efficient (41.3 percent FGs this season), but fantasy owners won't complain with tonight's solid line. The Nuggets are reportedly willing to trade him and they've been linked to the Nets and Brook Lopez, so be mindful that Chandler's value could decrease overnight. Rotoworld.com

    • Klay Thompson stays hot with 31 points Sun
Klay Thompson scored 31 points to lead the Warriors in a win over the Celtics on Sunday, adding two boards, one assist and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: It's incredible to think that Thompson was able to score 37 points in a quarter during Friday's game over the Kings, so his owners might be starting to feel a little greedy and are probably yawning at this stat line. It's going to be interesting to see who ends up starting in the All-Star game in place of Kobe Bryant (shoulder), as James Harden and Klay Thompson are locked in an exciting battle to take home the honors. Keep Thompson active in your lineup and enjoy the show. Rotoworld.com

    • Blake Griffin scores 23 pts w/ jumper barrage
The Suns didn't have an answer for Blake Griffin on Sunday, as he scored 23 points with seven rebounds, seven assists, one steal and only one turnover in 36 minutes.

Advice: Phoenix is middle-of-the-pack vs. opposing PFs this season, but Markieff Morris and company didn't stand a chance once Blake got his jump shot going -- he made 11-of-19 shots overall, with only one of his makes within 18 feet of the hoop. Rotoworld.com

Rodney Stuckey started Sunday's game and scored 15 points with six assists and one steal, helping Indy hang on for a 106-99 win in Orlando.

Advice: He made 6-of-10 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs with one 3-pointer to his credit, assuming a bigger role in the absence of C.J. Miles (groin). Miles is day-to-day and George Hill (groin) should play more minutes in the near future, so unfortunately Stuckey is hard to rely on in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge could miss training camp?
There is a chance that if LaMarcus Aldridge delays his thumb surgery, he could miss the beginning of training camp next season.

Advice: While Aldridge is not risking any further injury by playing with a torn radial collateral ligament in his left (non-shooting) thumb, a specialist in the field stated that delaying surgery could cause his recovery time to take twice as long (up to three to four months). However, Aldridge has said he plans to play through the pain, so this will just be something to monitor heading into next season. Rotoworld.com

    • Jimmy Butler held to five points vs. Miami
Jimmy Butler was held to just five points during Sunday's loss to the Heat, adding five rebounds, two assists, and one steal over 42.5 minutes of action.

Advice: Butler shot just 2-of-8 from the field, so while the minutes were there, the scoring simply wasn't. Luol Deng was playing some vicious defense today, and this was easily Butler's worst game of the season. However, Butler has not had two bad back-to-back games this season, so expect him to bounce-back during Tuesday's matchup with the Warriors. Rotoworld.com

Luol Deng scored 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting to go with 10 rebounds, four assists, one block, and one turnover during Sunday's win over the Bulls.

Nicolas Batum (wrist) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. Brooklyn

Advice: Batum recently admitted that he's dealing with a torn ligament on the outside of his right wrist, and his shot has been off all season (currently a career-low 38.8 percent from the field), so perhaps some rest could be a good thing for him. C.J. Miles (left groin strain) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Magic.

Advice: With Miles unavailable, Rodney Stuckey will likely slide back into the starting lineup. When head coach Kevin McHale was asked about Terrence Jones' availability for Wednesday's game vs. Dallas, he did not rule Jones out and said that he will return "sooner rather than later."

Advice: McHale added that Jones could return "within a week," and it appears he is getting very close to playing basketball again. However, he will be fighting for minutes with Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith, so it will be very difficult for him to produce the same way he was at the beginning of the season. Dwight Howard (ankle) did not participate during shootaround, and he is considered a game-time decision for Sunday's game vs. the Lakers.

Advice: It's worth noting that head coach Kevin McHale said he's "not real hopeful," that Dwight will play tonight, so it's sounding like he's closer to doubtful than a game-time decision. If Howard is forced to sit that Rockets could go with Joey Dorsey at the center spot, or it's possible they slide over Donatas Motiejunas to the center position and start Josh Smith at power forward. We'll have a better idea of the starting lineup closer to tip-off, but Smith and Motiejunas would likely be the primary beneficiaries. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Martin (wrist) questionable vs. Hawks
Kevin Martin (wrist) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Hawks.

Advice: He wasn't able to practice on Saturday and he is reportedly still dealing with some swelling in his wrist, so he is probably closer to doubtful. Martin is still worth a stash for his upside in points and 3-pointers, but his owners will have to be patient as he will likely be eased into action when he does return. If Martin can't play, Robbie Hummel will continue to start for Minnesota, but is only an option in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Thumbs Up: LaMarcus Aldridge scores 26 points
LaMarcus Aldridge looked fantastic in his shocking return to the lineup on Saturday during a 103-96 victory over the Wizards, making 9-of-22 from the field for 26 points with nine rebounds, three assists and two steals in 36 minutes.

Advice: He wore a brace on his thumb and didn't seem to be too bothered with his injury. Aldridge was hit on his bad hand a few times and was not in visible pain. Additionally he had some interesting comments today. Before the game, Aldridge said that he is going to try to play through the injury, but he did leave the door open of him changing his mind. Following the game, he said the Blazers losing two games in a row before tonight factored into his decision. Aldridge also said "of course" when he was asked about his thumb hurting. He didn't mention Nicolas Batum (wrist) directly, but reading between the lines suggests that was a factor, too. Aldridge is going to be a volatile fantasy property, but he's a must start player while he's active. Rotoworld.com

    • Nic Batum (wrist) admits he has torn ligament
Nicolas Batum admitted on Saturday that he suffered a torn ligament on the outside of his right wrist on Dec. 17.

Advice: It was obvious something was structurally wrong with Batum and now we know what it is. He's aggravated it probably more times than we care to count and the Blazers may still be weighing his treatment options. At this point, he's likely going to miss a week or two. There really isn't a great pickup to make with Batum out. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors plays 31 minutes
Derrick Favors was quiet in his return to the lineup on Saturday with nine points, eight rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

Advice: It wasn't a bad line and it was mostly due to his low usage rate. Favors is shooting the ball very well from the field and is at 72.3 percent from the line in 2015, so he could become an elite big man thanks to his contributions in blocks. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum (wrist) out for Saturday night
Nicolas Batum (wrist) won't play against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: He almost had no chance to play tonight due to his nagging wrist injury. It's interesting that LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) is playing tonight and maybe Batum's status was a factor in his decision. The Blazers will use about five different guys to fill the void left by Batum, so there's little reason to make a pickup in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

Kevin Martin (wrist) did not practice on Saturday.

    • Dwight Howard (ankle) questionable for Sunday
Dwight Howard (right ankle sprain) is questionable to play against the Lakers on Sunday.

Advice: The last time the Rockets played the Lakers, we were hit with a surprise knee injury for Howard back on Nov. 19. The Rockets are off until Wednesday following Sunday, so maybe sitting him down in what should be a win. Joey Dorsey would start with Donatas Motiejunas logging some minutes at the five. C.J. Miles (groin) is doubtful to play against the Magic on Sunday.

Advice: He did not return from his injury on Friday and it would appear he'll miss a couple games. Miles just can't stay healthy this season and his fantasy owners can probably just find someone else at this point. Expect to see more of C.J. Watson and Rodney Stuckey. Damjan Rudez will also play more. Rotoworld.com

    • Stunner: LaMarcus Aldridge will play Saturday
LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) will play against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: Wow! He is going to put the surgery on hold and will play through the tear in his left thumb. This is easily the most shocking news of the season after the team announced he was going to rest 6-8 weeks. Obviously grab Aldridge in all leagues and hope he can avoid an aggravation. Maybe he's just putting off the surgery until Nicolas Batum (wrist) can play? Whatever his reasoning, it's hard to explain and he will likely have some answers later today. If you added any Blazer in even 14- or 16-team leagues, you can cut him. Although owners in deeper leagues can look to Dorell Wright, C.J. McCollum or Victor Claver because Nicolas Batum is hurt. Derrick Favors (personal) will play on Saturday vs. the Nets.

Advice: He missed Thursday's game to tend to an emergency family matter so his owners can pencil Favors into their lineups. Rudy Gobert will likely shift back to the bench with this news, but he should still see enough run to make an impact in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Afflalo posts 20-4-4 line against the Celtics
Arron Afflalo scored 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting (1-of-4 3PTs, 7-of-7 FTs) with four rebounds and four assists in Friday's loss.

Advice: Afflalo has been productive lately but he's still just a late-round value for owners. Rotoworld.com

    • Hickson double-doubles with 15 & 14
J.J. Hickson started the second half of Friday's game instead of Jusuf Nurkic, finishing with a double-double including 15 points and 14 rebounds in 29 minutes.

Advice: Hickson added three assists and two steals but hit just 3-of-6 from the foul line. He's barely clinging to life in 12-team standard formats and JaVale McGee hasn't yet stepped on the floor, making him a stop-gap solution at best for owners needing a big man, regardless of whether he starts or not. • Young scores 17 points with three treys
Nick Young scored 17 points on 5-of-11 shooting with three treys and a 4-of-4 mark from the line in Friday's loss.

Advice: Young didn't have any other stats and while that's not too shocking the 20 minutes is pretty annoying with Kobe Bryant out. Byron Scott played nine players between 19-29 minutes tonight and has been a mess in the fantasy sense, and he hasn't been all that impressive in the reality sense either. But Young should be owned in all formats with an excellent shot to be productive with Kobe Bryant expected to be out for the year. Rotoworld.com

Jimmy Butler scored 20 points on 8-of-18 shooting (no threes) with eight rebounds, six assists and three steals in Friday's win over the Mavs.

Advice: Butler put his foot back on the gas pedal after Derrick Rose's surge slowed him down a bit. Rose scored 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting with three rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and five turnovers, and it wouldn't be surprising if Butler got back some of his touches now that Rose appears to have re-established a foundation for himself. Pau Gasol added 13 points, 16 boards, a steal and a block in the win. Rotoworld.com

Luol Deng played through an illness in the Heat's 89-87 win over the Pacers on Friday, scoring 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting (including three treys) with five rebounds and three assists.

    • Klay Thompson sets NBA record w/ 37-point qtr
Klay Thompson set an NBA record with 37 points in the third quarter of Friday's win over the Kings, finishing with an NBA season-high tying 52 points on 16-of-25 shooting, two rebounds, five assists, four steals and two blocks.

Advice: Thompson hit 11 3-pointers on 15 attempts and 9-of-10 from the line, setting a slew of records in the process. He did not miss on 13 field goal attempts in the third quarter with nine of them coming from beyond the arc, with each one setting the wild Oracle crowd into a deeper euphoric frenzy. It was the most points scored in a quarter in NBA history, and you might remember where you were five years down the road the next time somebody threatens it. And yes, it's the stat line of the year so far. Rotoworld.com

    • J.R. Smith scores 21 points with seven treys
J.R. Smith made seven 3-pointers for his 21 points against the Hornets on Friday with four rebounds and four assists.

Advice: The treys were nice, but this was Smith's fifth game of 2015 with at least four dimes. He's really playing extremely well with his new team and he's taking eight treys per game. He'll cool off at some point, but owners in standard leagues can ride him while he's going strong. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard (right ankle) out for game
Dwight Howard suffered a right ankle sprain and will not return to Friday's game against the Suns.

Advice: It didn't look too bad, but the Rockets are just going to play it safe, especially considering how many players have missed time due to playing through sprained ankles this season. Joey Dorsey will be the main center while Donatas Motiejunas can help out at the five, too. The Rockets will play the Lakers on Sunday and Howard should be considered questionable for that one. Advice: He has dealt with groin issues before and he's probably going to miss time. Chris Copeland and Damjan Rudez could get more minutes, but C.J. Watson and Rodney Stuckey may get some additional run. If you're sick of dealing with Miles, we don't blame you for dropping him. Rotoworld.com

C.J. Miles (groin) is questionable to return against the Heat on Friday.

Advice: He just can't stay healthy. Whether it's a calf, an eye issue, or anything, Miles just seems to inexplicably miss games this season. Rodney Stuckey and C.J. • C.J. Miles starting, Rodney Stuckey to bench
C.J. Miles will start in place of Rodney Stuckey on Friday night against the Heat.

Advice: This move is likely to prepare for George Hill eventually moving into the starting lineup -- Hill is coming off the bench tonight. Miles is going to take a lot of 3-pointers in the first unit and he could have some other stats, but he's really not a reliable fantasy option with his woeful field goal shooting. • Nicolas Batum (wrist) doubtful for Saturday
Nicolas Batum (wrist) is doubtful to play against the Wizards on Saturday.

Advice: There is still no word of Batum getting an MRI, but it would appear he's going to miss multiple games. He's been dealing with wrist soreness for over a month and he's been fairly open about how it's having an adverse effect on his shooting. The Blazers will have to use a combination of Dorell Wright, Victor Claver, and Allen Crabbe to play the three. However, Wes Matthews will certainly slide over to small forward, which could also get C.J. McCollum and Steve Blake some minutes. Also, the Blazers will have more minutes available for Meyers Leonard and Thomas Robinson. Yeah, this rotation is a mess. We know. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Martin dealing with swelling in wrist
Kevin Martin (wrist) is dealing with swelling his right wrist and will be out until at least Sunday.

Advice: He had to have his wrist drained on Thursday and is still hopeful to play against the Hawks on Sunday. Martin wore a brace at shootaround on Friday and it would appear he's at least making an attempt to play. The oft-injured guard should be a solid player to start while he's on the court, but the injuries are going to make him annoying to own. Carl Landry (wrist) will not play against the Warriors on Friday.

Kevin Martin (wrist) will not play vs. the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: He left shootaround with a brace on his wrist and told reporters that he's "not ready" yet, which is disappointing since he's been questionable to play in the Wolves' past three games. Owners will simply have to keep him tucked away on the bench a bit longer, while Robbie Hummel continues to fill in at SG without providing fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

    • Luol Deng (illness) probable to return Friday
Luol Deng (illness) appears probable to return vs. the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: He's been sick for four days and didn't even travel to Charlotte for Wednesday's game, but he went through shootaround on Friday without any issues. His likely return will send Danny Granger back to the bench, reducing Granger and James Ennis to an afterthought in typical fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

Kevin Martin (wrist) is questionable to return on Friday vs. New Orleans.

Advice: He was on the Wolves' active roster for Wednesday's game but didn't play, and owners can anticipate an imminent return even if he sits out again vs. the Pelicans. Martin was hot in nine games before his injury, scoring 20.4 points with 2.9 triples per game, and he shouldn't be floating on any waiver wires. Rotoworld.com

Dwight Howard (strained right knee) is listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Suns.

Advice: Dwight is perpetually listed on Houston's injury list as 'probable' so this shouldn't alarm his fantasy owners. His right knee has bothered him all year and Houston may need to give him some rest as the season progresses, however, so we'll continue to closely monitor his health. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Teletovic pulled himself from Thursday's game due to shortness of breath and subsequent testing revealed that he's suffering from bilateral pulmonary embolus. He'll stay at a hospital in L.A. for further tests and to begin treatment, which includes blood-thinners, and will return to Brooklyn once doctors clear him to travel. Blake Griffin made 11-of-14 from the field for 24 points against the Nets during a 123-84 win on Thursday with six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 25 minutes.

Advice: He's on fire over his last four, averaging 27.5 points, 7.5 boards, 4.3 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.3 treys and 1.0 turnovers on 63.4 percent from the field and 80.0 percent from the line. Griffin doesn't have a single block in that stretch and he's on pace to set a career low of just 0.4 per game this season. Obviously, his owners shouldn't care if he's scoring the ball this efficiently. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum wearing a large wrist brace
Nicolas Batum was wearing a large brace on his right wrist following Thursday's game against the Celtics.

Advice: He could not play through the pain this time after aggravating an old injury. Batum has dealt with a right wrist injury for over the past month and he also dealt with it last season. He said he can't use his wrist right now and he's unsure how much time he's going to miss. In other words, it sounds like he's not going to play on Saturday. Expect to see more of C.J. McCollum, Steve Blake, Dorell Wright, Thomas Robinson, Will Barton and Victor Claver to get more minutes in what will appear to be a random selection from coach Terry Stotts. Rotoworld.com

Gordon Hayward carried the Jazz down the stretch during a 101-99 win on Thursday in Milwaukee with 24 points, six rebounds, six assists, two steals, two 3-pointers and six turnovers in 35 minutes.

Advice: His numbers have been trending down on the season, so this big game was nice to see. In fact, Hayward's points and rebounds have decreased in each of the last three months of the season. The Jazz will get to host the struggling Nets on Saturday, so expect Hayward to have success again. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum (wrist) out for game vs. BOS
Nicolas Batum (right wrist) will not return to Thursday's game due to a wrist injury.

Advice: This nagging shooting wrist injury just will not go away. Batum has been complaining about his wrist injury for almost two months and the Blazers might give him an MRI to make sure he didn't aggravate anything structurally. With Batum out, Dorell Wright, who was the 11th man in the rotation tonight, will pick up some extra playing time. Jimmy Butler played just 28 minutes against the Spurs on Thursday with 17 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers on 4-of-9 from the field.

Advice: He was in foul trouble tonight, which is a very rare occurrence for Butler this season. Tonight was just the second game all season in which Butler was below 34 minutes. Jimmy Minutes has turned into Jimmy Buckets and he's starting to come out of his slump to start 2015. He should be viewed as an early-round fantasy asset. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) ruled out 6-8 weeks
LaMarcus Aldridge (left thumb) will have surgery on his radial collateral ligament tear and will be out 6-8 weeks.

Advice: The Blazers are in deep trouble. Aldridge is sixth in the NBA for points per game and 11th in the rebounds per game. He's also third in the NBA in field goal attempts per game, so coach Terry Stotts is going to have to go back to the drawing board on how to get his other guys shots. It'll be a mixture of guys because Stotts loves to play the matchups. Dorell Wright benefitted the most on Wednesday, but players such as Thomas Robinson, Meyers Leonard, Victor Claver and Chris Kaman will also have to help out more. Of course, the trio of Damian Lillard, Wes Matthews and Nicolas Batum will also have to step up. Owners in standard leagues can think about grabbing Wright, but he is going to be inconsistent. • LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) listed as out
LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) is listed as out for Thursday's game against Boston.

Advice: We should know the results of his second MRI very soon, so owners will want to check back for updates. Aldridge is currently wearing a cast on his thumb, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him spend some additional time on the sidelines. Nicolas Batum and Dorell Wright will continue to be the biggest beneficiaries in Aldridge's absence. Rotoworld.com

Nick Young has a sprained right thumb and is listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: This is the first we are hearing about his thumb but he should be fine for Friday's game. Advice: This is a shame because Portland could really use him right now with Robin Lopez (hand) and LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) sidelined. Advice: There is no word of an injury, and all we know is that Favors won't even travel with the Jazz to Milwaukee for "personal reasons". We will be sure to pass along any available updates as needed. On the other hand, Rudy Gobert will likely draw the start on Thursday and is absolutely a must-start option for his upside in blocks and boards. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge has cast on thumb
Sean Deveney of The Sporting News is reporting that LaMarcus Aldridge (hand) has a cast on his thumb and is getting another MRI on Thursday.

Advice: Aldridge's previous MRI was reportedly inconclusive due to swelling, but the cast on his thumb (which could be precautionary) isn't great news. We'll have updates on LA as more information becomes available, but it would be a surprise to see him suit up on Thursday while Chris Kaman, Thomas Robinson, and Dorrell Wright will all see a boost in fantasy value while Aldridge is out. Klay Thompson hit 10-of-21 shots and three more 3-pointers for 27 points, three rebounds, five assists and four steals in Wednesday's impressive win over the Rockets.

Advice: Look for Thompson to be a coach's pick for the Western All-Star Team, as he's been getting it done at both ends of the court all season long. The Warriors won their 17th straight game at home, setting a franchise record. Rotoworld.com

Dwight Howard hit just 3-of-8 shots for seven points, 11 rebounds and zero blocks in Wednesday's loss to the Warriors, and also committed five turnovers.

Advice: Hey, at least he didn't kill your free throw percentage (1-of-2 tonight). His last multi-block game was way back on Dec. 15 and he's had seven games since then without a single block. The Warriors were dominant tonight and Howard never got it going, but his lack of shot blocking is one of the great mysteries in the NBA right now. Nicolas Batum finally broke out of his season-long slump on Wednesday, hitting 9-of-15 shots and six 3-pointers for 27 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and a block in 39 minutes.

Advice: Finally! This was easily Batum's best game of the season and it may not be a coincidence that LaMarcus Aldridge was out with a thumb injury. Hopefully this was the game that will get Batum's season jump started, and hopefully he will continue to look for his shot going forward. Additionally, this will save the Rotoworld staff from having to answer the "Can I drop Batum?" tweets that have started rolling in. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Miles only Pacer to show up vs. ATL
C.J. Miles led the Pacers off the bench with 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and two 3-pointers on 7-of-15 shooting in Wednesday's loss at Atlanta.

Advice: Miles is rolling again over his last two games, and is averaging 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.6 3-pointers over his last five games, despite shooting just 39 percent. Only Luis Scola (10), Rodney Stuckey (12) and C.J. Watson (13) joined Miles in double figures scoring tonight, but Miles looks like the guy to pick up as long as he can stay healthy. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young struggles in Kobe's return
Nick Young hit just 3-of-11 shots and two 3-pointers for nine points in 19 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: Young went off on Monday with 24 points while Kobe Bryant watched in street clothes, but Kobe was back for tonight's game. Of course, Young has struggled for the most of the season with or without Kobe, but we like his chances better for success on nights when Bryant isn't playing. Kobe's shoulder was bothering him tonight and we still think Young should be held once the Kobe Shutdown finally happens. Rotoworld.com

J.R. Smith started again and hit 5-of-16 shots and 2-of-11 3-pointers for 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals in Wednesday's win.

Advice: Love him or hate him, Smith is starting and averaging 17.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.4 steals and 3.8 3-pointers over his last five games, while shooting 46 percent. We've seen him go on streaks like this before and he should be in your lineup until he comes back to earth. Rotoworld.com

Dwight Howard (knee) will play against the Warriors on Wednesday.

Danny Granger started in place of Luol Deng (illness) on Wednesday, but failed to do much, finishing with just three points and one rebound on 1-of-3 shooting in 20 minutes.

Advice: He also had a steal, a block and a 3-pointer, but daily owners who rolled the dice needed a whole lot more from Granger tonight. Deng shouldn't be out long, so look for Granger to crawl back into his cave sooner than later. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge (hand) getting second MRI
LaMarcus Aldridge (hand) will get another MRI on Thursday.

Advice: He had his first today and the Blazers didn't provide an update. An inconclusive MRI usually isn't good news, but it doesn't necessarily mean Aldridge has structural damage. The Blazers are going to have some wacky rotations sans Aldridge with Thomas Robinson, Chris Kaman and Victor Claver possibly playing more. Rotoworld.com

    • Danny Granger starts at SF w/ Luol Deng out
Danny Granger will start at SF on Wednesday with Luol Deng (illness) unavailable.

Advice: James Ennis should also see significant minutes and it's hard to rely on either guy for temporary value, as they've both squandered expanded opportunities in the past. Granger went 3-of-5 from the field on Tuesday but prior to that he was riding a long shooting slump, and he's only worth considering as a desperation source of points and 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com

    • Terrence Jones won't play on this trip
Terrence Jones (leg) will not play on the current three-game road trip.

Advice: The Rockets could get him back soon and he is with the team. Jones is in the final stages of his rehab and there's at least a chance he could play next week. While he was on fire to start the season, things are a little different with Donatas Motiejunas playing well and Josh Smith in town. If you want to grab him in exchange for some dead weight, it's not a bad idea. He certainly won't be as great as he was to start the season. Rotoworld.com

    • Arron Afflalo's 21 pts not enough vs. Spurs
Arron Afflalo paced the Nuggets with 21 points during Tuesday's loss to the Spurs, going 6-of-11 from the field and 6-of-8 at the FT line in 33 minutes of action.

Advice: He chipped in three 3-pointers, four rebounds, two assists and three steals in a terrific bounce-back effort following Monday's dud, which was largely the result of a blowout. Afflalo is second on the Nuggets in scoring (15.0 ppg) but his paltry defensive stats (0.6 steals, 0.1 blocks) prevent him from rising above late-round value. Rotoworld.com

    • Luol Deng (illness) will not play Wednesday
Luol Deng (illness) will not travel with the Heat for Wednesday's game in Charlotte.

Advice: Deng fought through the illness to score eight points in 29 minutes on Tuesday, but he'll now get a few days to fully recuperate before Friday's home game vs. Indiana. James Ennis and Danny Granger stand to gain the most in Deng's absence -- Ennis is slightly more attractive if he earns the start at SF, but they're only worth a glance in daily leagues. Luol Deng played through an illness vs. OKC on Tuesday, scoring eight points on 2-of-6 shooting with one 3-pointer, four rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes.

Advice: Deng has quietly posted mid-round value with the Heat thanks to balanced production and a sizeable role offensively -- his 20.3 usage rate is just below his career average, and his 57.8 percent True Shooting marks a career high. He's also posting a solid PER of 17.0, his highest since the 2007-08 season, and it's easy to see why the 7th-seed Heat aren't eager to trade him. Rotoworld.com

Carl Landry (wrist) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Nets.

Advice: He's been out a week after spraining his wrist and the Kings have him listed as day-to-day. Jason Thompson, Derrick Williams and Reggie Evans will each earn more minutes in Landry's absence, but there are no clear-cut winners in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

Updating a previous report, LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) was evaluated by a hand specialist on Tuesday, and he is scheduled to undergo an MRI later this week.

Advice: Aldridge will miss Wednesday's game vs. Phoenix, and he remains without an official timetable to return. Chris Kaman figures to be the primary beneficiary if Aldridge is forced to take an extended absence, with Dorell Wright, Meyers Leonard, and Thomas Robinson all being in line for extended minutes. • LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) will not play Wed.
LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Suns.

Advice: The Blazers did not provide any further updates on Aldridge's injury other than he will not travel with the team to Phoenix, and he is set to see a hand specialist. We'll be monitoring this situation closely, but it's looking like an extended absence for Aldridge is a real possibility. Chris Kaman, Dorell Wright, Meyers Leonard, and Thomas Robinson will all see some increased opportunity with LaMarcus sidelined, with Kaman being the most consistent option of the group. • Terrence Jones (leg) getting mobility back
Terrence Jones (leg) has been more active at practice lately, and while he has yet to go through a full-contact workout, he continues to make steady progress.

Advice: "I am more active than I've been in so long," Jones said. "Being on the court feels real good and it's a blessing to be able to get up and down and finally move my leg a little and jump and do things with the basketball that I couldn't do two months ago at all." Jones continues to make progress, but the fact that he's going to be fighting for minutes with Donatas Motiejunas, Josh Smith, and Dwight Howard, his long-term outlook isn't looking great. Nick Young told reporters that Swaggy P can't be turned off after Monday's loss to the Suns.

Advice: Young had one of his best games of the season with Kobe Bryant on Monday as he scored 24 points to go along with four rebounds, three, assists, and two steals off the bench. "They told me you can’t turn Swaggy off," Young said after the game. "You made this guy so you gotta be him." It's unclear exactly who "they" and "you" are in Young's statement, but Swaggy P should be owned in standard fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Batum says wrist injury hurting his shot
Nicolas Batum hit just 2-of-8 shots (including a late three) for eight points, four rebounds and four assists in the Blazers' 98-94 win over the Kings on Monday.

Advice: Batum said after the game that his right (shooting) wrist is hurting him and that he has been pushing the ball 'right' on his shot as a result. He added that he has taken hundreds of jumpers during practice to try and fix this, which doesn't seem logical if he needs the rest, but he also cited that the team needs him with Robin Lopez out -- which also doesn't make too much sense. What does make sense is that he wants to play through injury like many players, and the All Star break couldn't come sooner for him. Rotoworld.com

J.R. Smith hit six 3-point shots and 7-of-11 shots overall to finish with 20 points, three rebounds and a steal in Monday's win over the Bulls.

Advice: Smith is going to be a bit of a roller coaster but he's been well worth owning so far in Cleveland. He should be owned in all formats and started in most of them. Rotoworld.com

C.J. Miles scored 23 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 9-of-18 shots (including four threes) with six rebounds, two assists and five steals in 33 minutes.

Advice: Miles is hit or miss but the hits have been big enough to keep owners happy lately as a late-round value over the past two weeks. He is going to have a hard time keeping things up when George Hill returns and takes away a bunch of touches, and his injury history isn't the best, so owners should probably ride him until the wheels fall off and start looking for other options. Klay Thompson scored 22 points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and four 3-pointers during a 122-79 blowout victory over the Nuggets on Monday.

Advice: He has multiple 3-pointers in 18 consecutive games. Even before this gem, 2015 has been extremely kind to Klay with averages of 24.1 points, 3.8 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.6 blocks, 1.0 steals and 3.5 triples on 53.5 percent from the field and 84.4 percent from the line. He belongs in the All-Star Game. Rotoworld.com

    • Arron Afflalo has a really bad game
Arron Afflalo made 1-of-8 from the field for two points with two rebounds, one steal and one turnover in 24 minutes against the Warriors on Monday.

Advice: Now that Randy Foye is back, Afflalo's ceiling is lowered. He's also stuck in a slump over his last three, making just 28.8 percent from the field in that stretch. He is still worth owning in standard leagues, but his owners will want to lower their expectations after a productive a couple weeks before this aforementioned slump. Rotoworld.com

    • Blake Griffin dominates the Celtics on Monday
Blake Griffin was outstanding against the Celtics during a 102-93 win on Monday with 22 points, nine rebounds, six assists and one steal.

Advice: He didn't turn the ball over, made all four shots from the line, and was 9-of-18 from the field. Griffin continues to pass the ball extremely well and handed out 5.6 dimes per game over his previous 10. He's also at 54.5 percent from the field and 76.1 percent from the line in 2015, so his owners shouldn't dwell on his lack of boards and blocks. Rotoworld.com

    • Terrence Jones (leg) not practicing fully yet
Terrence Jones (leg) is making progress, but he hasn't had a full contact practice yet.

Advice: While he was spotted taking jumpers this week, this news suggests he is going to be out a little while longer. Jones is said to be in the "final stages" of his rehab, but there's simply no telling when we will see him in action. His return should make things interesting in Houston's crowded frontcourt that includes Donatas Motiejunas, Josh Smith and Dwight Howard, so Jones' outlook for the season isn't that inspiring. • Gordon Hayward, Trey Burke struggle Sunday
Gordon Hayward and Trey Burke both shot 4-of-15 from the field during Sunday's loss in San Antonio, combining for 18 points in an ugly road loss.

Advice: Burke had eight assists and Hayward had five assists and three steals, but Utah never threatened after scoring just 27 points in the first half. Hayward's value has slipped after a torrid start to the season, but he's still returning top-50 value over the past month with averages of 19.3 points, 1.8 triples, 3.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game. • Derrick Favors gets 13 boards, four blocks
Derrick Favors had 13 rebounds and four blocks on Sunday, but he scored only nine points on 4-of-11 shooting during 27 minutes on the court.

Advice: The Jazz couldn't muster enough offense to beat the Spurs, shooting just 28-of-84 as a team (33.3 percent), with a 10-of-16 mark at the FT line. Favors fell one point shy of his third straight double-double in tonight's defeat, and his injury scare last Saturday has proven to be a false alarm. Rotoworld.com

Terrence Jones (leg) was spotted getting some shots up during Sunday's practice.

Advice: Jones is currently in the "final stages" of his rehab, but it's not clear exactly what that means, and he remains without an official return date. Blake Griffin made scoring 30 points look easy against the Kings on Saturday during a 117-108 win, making 11-of-16 from the field with five rebounds, five assists and one steal.

Advice: He's rolling over his last six. In that stretch, Griffin averaged 26.2 points, 6.7 boards, 4.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.2 triples on 58.5 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from the line. He has been feasting in the paint in that span, making a pristine 77.1 percent of his 48 shots at the rim (45.4 percent of his shot total). The boards still aren't there for Blake, but he's doing enough to keep his owners satisfied. Rotoworld.com

Klay Thompson started hot against the Rockets on Saturday, making 9-of-15 from the field for 27 points with five rebounds, two assist, one steal, five blocks and three 3-pointers.

Advice: His five blocks were a career high and he did a fantastic job on James Harden. Thompson has avoided a slump for basically the entire season and is hot over his last five, averaging 22.8 points, 4.2 boards, 2.4 assists, 1.6 blocks, 0.8 steals and 3.0 triples on 51.9 percent from the field. • J.J. Hickson double-doubles in loss Saturday
J.J. Hickson double-doubled off the bench on Saturday against Minnesota, scoring 14 points with 10 boards and one assist in 32 minutes.

Advice: He has now notched double-doubles in four of his last six games, and it's becoming obvious that the trade of Timofey Mozgov has really benefited him. While he is definitely worth owning in points leagues, owners in standard leagues can still probably do better given Hickson's poor free throw shooting and his inability to contribute in areas other than points and boards. • Chase Budinger gets benched on Saturday
Chase Budinger returned to a bench role on Saturday against the Nuggets, scoring just six points with one 3-pointer in 14 minutes.

Advice: Robbie Hummel was inserted into the starting lineup for this contest and responded with a massive double-double, meaning Budinger's time in the sun is already over. Unless you are in a ridiculously deep league and desperately need 3-pointers, you can let go of Budinger. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Miles has another awful game
C.J. Miles made 2-of-13 from the field for five points with five rebounds against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: He missed all eight shots from deep and even air-balled one. If one thing is clear on Miles, it’s that he has a green light from deep. He’s taken 8.1 attempts from beyond the arc in his previous eight games. Besides that and scoring in the mid-teens, there’s not much else to his fantasy value while he’s going to shoot below 40 percent from the field on a fairly high volume. Rotoworld.com

Terrence Jones (leg) is in the "final stages" of his rehab before returning to the floor.

Advice: That's still not the clear answer we're looking for on Jones and there is no timetable for his return. Jones has been out since Nov. 3 due to some nerve issue in his leg and chances are he'll be limited upon his return. Blake Griffin scored 34 points on 14-of-23 shooting (6-of-7 FTs) with 10 rebounds, three assists and one steal in the Clippers' 126-121 loss to the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: Griffin did not attempt a three and he addressed his rebounding problem, so this is as good of a game as owners could have hoped for. Like many big men whose value is struggling, the move away from the hoop has killed him and stuck him with just top 40-50 value on the year. Hopefully tonight is a step in the right direction. Chris Paul hit just 4-of-15 shots and 1-of-7 threes, but finished with 15 points, eight boards, 14 assists and three steals in the loss. Rotoworld.com

J.R. Smith scored eight points on 4-of-8 shooting (no threes) with two rebounds, four assists and three steals over 30 minutes on Friday against the Clippers.

Gordon Hayward scored 31 points on 12-of-18 shooting (including four threes) with three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block in the Jazz's 94-85 win over the Lakers on Friday.

Advice: On a night of huge performances this one fits right in. He has settled into top 30-40 production and that's what owners should expect going forward. Rotoworld.com

Nick Young busted out of a slump with 23 points on 4-of-9 shooting, two threes, two boards and a season-high 13-of-13 makes from the foul line on Friday.

Advice: Young has played well enough to be owned in all 12-team formats this year, but his ups and downs might have him on benches or even the waiver wire for stretches. If anything happens to Kobe down the stretch, he could add a couple of rounds to his value real quick. Rotoworld.com

Klay Thompson scored 32 points on 12-of-22 shooting with four rebounds, four assists and three treys in the Warriors' road loss to the Thunder on Friday.

Jimmy Butler had a season-high six steals against the Celtics on Friday with 22 points, five rebounds, two assists and one turnover.

Advice: Finally. Butler was in a serious funk due to his shot not falling, but he was rolling tonight.
