    • Wayne Ellington scores 23 points in 2OT win
Wayne Ellington made 9-of-19 from the field for 23 points during a 123-118 double-overtime victory over the Bulls on Thursday, adding five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: His style of play has completely changed. Ellington would basically just hang around the 3-point line to space the floor, but now he's creating off the dribble. He had nine shots in the paint tonight and coach Byron Scott seems to have complete trust in Ellington as his primary scorer. The 27-year-old swingman is a decent shooter from the field, effective at the line and should add some other stats with the scoring, so he's worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Robert Sacre scores nine in decent line
Robert Sacre fouled out in 30 minutes against the Bulls on Thursday with nine points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

Advice: This was arguably his best start of the season. In his previous three, Sacre averaged 6.0 points, 7.7 boards, 0.7 blocks and 0.7 steals in 25.3 minutes. He's probably not going to stick in the starting unit all season, but give him a look in deep leagues if those aforementioned averages appeal to you. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Clarkson drops 18 points in 43 minutes
Jordan Clarkson played 43 minutes against the Bulls on Thursday during a double-overtime win, scoring 18 points with four rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

Advice: It's becoming abundantly clear that Clarkson has his starting job locked down. He is a playmaker for the Lakers and they'll need someone like that in their starting unit. Plus, he's been exceptional at beating guys off the dribble in his rookie season. Clarkson won't be a fantasy stud because of his turnovers and sub-par shooting, but the steals and other stats make him worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Aaron Brooks ejected in double-overtime
Aaron Brooks was ejected in double-overtime against the Lakers on Thursday, finishing with 15 points, one rebound, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 22 minutes.

Advice: Coach Tom Thibodeau hasn't been bashful about using two-PG lineups and Brooks has played well next to Derrick Rose. Brooks' fantasy value will take a hit once Mike Dunleavy (ankle) comes back, so he's not really a great pickup right now. Although, that could change if Derrick Rose's minor injury becomes something. • Tony Snell scores 10 off the bench
Tony Snell scored 10 points in 23 minutes off the bench against the Lakers on Thursday with two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He did start the second half, but didn't play down the stretch. Snell has seen his usage rate climb, but there is just no ceiling for him in the vast majority of fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Nikola Mirotic gets benched
Nikola Mirotic started and played just 12 minutes against the Lakers on Thursday with one steal and two misses from the field.

Advice: Well, the Mirotic Experiment didn't work. He did not play in the second half and it might be a while before we see him at small forward again. Unless Taj Gibson, Joakim Noah or Pau Gasol miss time, Mirotic is not going to be worth starting. He's a high-upside stash. Rotoworld.com

    • Tony Allen returns, plays 21 minutes
Tony Allen played 21 minutes in his return to the lineup on Thursday with eight points, nine rebounds, one steal and one turnover.

Advice: He missed his last two games with an ankle sprain. Allen has seen his minutes drop with the acquisition of Jeff Green, so he's going to be a tough player to own in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Beno Udrih scores 11 in 23 minutes
Beno Udrih played 23 minutes against the Nuggets on Thursday with 11 points, two rebounds, three assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Thanks to the Grizzlies blowing teams out, Udrih hasn't put up great numbers in his last two starts. It's nice to see the Grizzlies play well without Mike Conley and they might be a little more cautious in putting him back in the lineup. Still, Udrih's fantasy value has a short shelf life. • Jared Dudley scores 17 points in start
Jared Dudley moved into the starting lineup for Ersan Ilyasova on Thursday, scoring 17 points with four rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers in 26 minutes.

Advice: The Bucks were rolling on offense with 12 triples tonight. Dudley was really cooling off before tonight, but the loss of Ilyasova should open up some playing time for Dudley. With Ghostface Ilya only day-to-day, Dudley is more of a stop-gap add for now. Rotoworld.com

    • Channing Frye gets one shot with nothing else
Channing Frye attempted one shot in 15 minutes against the Bucks on Thursday.

Advice: That's his entire stat line from the box score right there. Frye has been a waste of space on the court in his last few games and he's simply not worth owning in most leagues right now. Rotoworld.com

    • Nikola Mirotic will start at small forward
Nikola Mirotic will start at small forward against the Lakers on Thursday.

Advice: The Mirotic Experiment is back on. He was awful at the three earlier this month, but coach Tom Thibodeau is going to give him another shot. And why not against the Lakers? Mirotic has ridiculous upside, so feel free to give him a look in exchange for some semi-dead weight on the end of your bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Jason Smith plays 30 minutes vs. Pacers
Jason Smith played 30 minutes against the Pacers during a 103-82 loss on Thursday, scoring eight points, seven rebounds, five assists and one steal.

Advice: Smith was popped in the mouth a couple times tonight, but he's fine. It was a decent game and he didn't even play in the fourth quarter. He's certainly not the hottest property in fantasy, but he's getting it done over his last five, averaging 10.2 points, 6.6 boards, 3.4 assists, 1.2 blocks, 0.8 steals and 0.6 treys. He's worth a look. Rotoworld.com

    • Channing Frye set to start Thursday vs. MIL
Channing Frye will remain in the starting lineup for Thursday's game vs. the Bucks.

Advice: Frye was benched during the entire second half of Monday's game vs. the Grizzlies, but head coach Jacque Vaughn will continue to go with him as a starter for the time being. However, Frye has been pretty bad lately hitting just 15-of-37 shots over the past five games. He can be viewed as a 3-point specialist in deep leagues, but guys in standard leagues should be able to find better production on the wire. Rotoworld.com

    • Jared Dudley will start at PF on Thursday
Jared Dudley will start at power forward for Thursday's game against Orlando with Ersan Ilyasova (groin) unavailable.

Advice: Dudley is more of a 3-point specialist, but he could see an uptick in value with the move to the starting lineup and a favorable matchup against the Magic. He's worth a dice roll for those playing daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Shelvin Mack (calf) gets up some shots Thurs.
Shelvin Mack (calf) was spotted getting up some shots and going through some court work during Thursday's practice.

Advice: Mack is getting closer towards making a return, but as the third-string point guard on the roster, he's not going to be able to do enough statistically to be worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Tony Allen will play vs Nuggets on Thursday
Tony Allen (ankle) will play against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Advice: Allen will return after missing the Grizzlies' last two games, but he doesn't have much fantasy value fighting for minutes with Jeff Green, Courtney Lee, and Vince Carter. Allen can be left on waiver wires in standard leagues while his return will put a dent in the fantasy values of his aforementioned teammates. Rotoworld.com

    • Kyle Singler no longer Man Behind The Mask
Kyle Singler (nose) said will no longer wear a protective mask for the broken nose he suffered on January 21.

Advice: Singler was held scoreless for the second time in 143 NBA starts on Wednesday and will look to get back on track against the Rockets on Saturday. The 26-year-old is averaging just 6.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.4 three-pointers over his last five games and doesn't provide much fantasy value outside deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jason Smith double-doubles for Knicks
Jason Smith had 11 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and a steal on 5-of-10 shooting in another start on Wednesday.

Advice: Smith is quietly playing well for the Knicks, as the tankers give guys heavy minutes who probably have no business getting heavy NBA minutes. Smith is averaging 11.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.6 blocks and a ridiculous 34 minutes a game over his last five, making him worth a look in many leagues. Then again, he's Jason Smith. • Brandan Wright steps up on Wednesday
Brandan Wright returned to action on Wednesday with 13 points, five rebounds, one steal and one block in 17 minutes.

Advice: He missed Sunday due to a heel injury and had his best game in a Phoenix uniform. Wright is not going to be thrust into a major role while Alex Len is around, but he could still be a top 150 guy with 20 minutes per game. There's no need to add him yet, but keep an eye on him in the up-tempo system. Rotoworld.com

    • Martell Webster (knee) is active
Martell Webster (knee) is active against the Suns on Wednesday.

Shelvin Mack (calf) will not play on Wednesday against the Nets, but he did say that he would be back soon.

    • Wayne Ellington scores season-high 28 points
Wayne Ellington exploded vs. the Wizards on Tuesday with a season-high 28 points on 12-of-20 shooting (three 3-pointers), three rebounds, three assists, three steals and two turnovers in 36 minutes.

Advice: Kobe Bryant (shoulder) is done for the season which makes Ellington an obvious pickup for any owner seeking points and 3-pointers. His big night tonight was also attributable to the absence of Nick Young (ankle) and the Wizards' careless defense, however, so don't expect more than late-round production. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Clarkson scores season-high 18 points
The Lakers blew a double-digit lead on Tuesday despite Jordan Clarkson's season-high 18 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one turnover in 37 minutes.

Advice: This game was an outlier in every department for Clarkson -- he approached his season-high in nearly every category and made his first 3-pointer in over six weeks, having gone 0-of-8 in 10 games since Dec. 15. Clarkson is a realistic pickup for anyone needing a PG, as coach Byron Scott has expressed at least a "10 to 15 game" commitment to him as a starter. Rotoworld.com

    • Martell Webster leaves w/ right knee injury
Martell Webster exited Tuesday's game with a right knee injury after colliding with Jeremy Lin.

Advice: He tried to walk off the injury and stay in the game but Washington's training staff thought better, pulling him off the court and into the locker room. Webster does not have a history of knee injuries and may have suffered nothing more severe than a stinger, but we'll update his status once more details surface. Rotoworld.com

    • Beno Udrih quiet in Mike Conley's absence
Beno Udrih started Tuesday's game in place of Mike Conley (wrist), scoring eight points on 4-of-6 shooting with two rebounds, five assists and two turnovers in 21 minutes.

Advice: Conley is day-to-day and Udrih's quiet line on Tuesday should be enough to scare away nearly all fantasy owners. He's shooting an impressive 51.0 percent this season but isn't doing enough to aid standard-league owners in 19 minutes per game. Rotoworld.com

Jared Dudley started the second half of Tuesday's game with Ersan Ilyasova (groin) unavailable, notching 11 points, one 3-pointer, two boards and three assists in 23 minutes.

Advice: Dudley has been a sneaky value this season despite playing just 25 minutes, with his stats buoyed by solid percentages, 1.0 triples, 4.0 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. He's worth owning, especially since Ilyasova is likely to miss more games with his groin injury. Rotoworld.com

    • Tony Allen (ankle) will not play on Tuesday
Tony Allen (ankle) will not play in Tuesday's game against Dallas.

Advice: Allen was recently benched in favor of Jeff Green, so this news certainly doesn't help his already limited value. Expect Courtney Lee, Jeff Green and Vince Carter to pick up the slack for Memphis on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com

    • Brandan Wright (heel) expected to play Wed.
Brandan Wright (heel) was a full participant during Tuesday's practice, and he expects to return to action for Wednesday's game vs. the Wizards.

    • Tony Allen questionable for Tuesday
Tony Allen (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game at Dallas.

    • Channing Frye benched for whole second half
Channing Frye was benched for the entire second half against the Grizzlies on Monday due to poor defense.

Advice: Zach Randolph looked like he was playing in Rookie mode on a video game with easy bucket after easy bucket. Frye has fallen out of favor with coach Jacque Vaughn and there's a good chance it'll happen again. His fantasy owners can consider dropping him depending who they're going to add instead. • Tony Allen (ankle) will not play on Monday
Tony Allen (ankle) will not play against the Magic on Monday.

Advice: He has a sprained ankle and it's not serious, but the Grizzlies don't need him as much now that Jeff Green is around. Expect Green and Courtney Lee to play a little more tonight. Additionally, Victor Oladipo has a better matchup. Rotoworld.com

    • Tony Allen questionable to suit up on Monday
Tony Allen (sprained left ankle) is questionable to play against the Magic on Monday.

Advice: He did not participate in shootaround, and that's always an ominous sign for a player's availability. That being said, TA is as tough as they come, so it has to be a pretty nasty sprain. If he sits, Courtney Lee and Jeff Green should each see some extra run. Rotoworld.com

    • Brandan Wright expected to be back Wednesday
Brandan Wright (heel) is expected to be back on Wednesday.

    • Jordan Clarkson struggles vs Houston, Pat Bev
Jordan Clarkson couldn't get anything going in 28 minutes vs. the Rockets on Sunday, going 2-of-10 from the field to finish with eight points, two assists, one steal and five turnovers.

Advice: Patrick Beverley will have this effect on opposing PGs and Clarkson gets a pass for the dud. Lakers coach Byron Scott said he'll keep his current starting lineup intact for "15 to 20 games" which gives Clarkson a nice window to establish himself. Deep-league owners should already own him, and he's firmly on the radar in all formats. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 9:05 pm
    • Kyle Singler shoots just 1-of-3 vs. Toronto
Kyle Singler took only three shots in 26 minutes on Sunday, making one of them to finish a loss to the Raptors with four points, two rebounds and two assists.

Advice: Singler hasn't been worth owning in 14-team leagues this season and he'll now have an adjustment period with D.J. Augustin taking the reins of Detroit's offense. There's not enough upside here to bother with him outside of deep leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 7:21 pm
    • Aaron Brooks scores 17 points in 21 minutes
Aaron Brooks was a lone bright spot off the Bulls bench on Sunday, scoring 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting, to go with two rebounds, four 3-pointers, one steal, and two turnovers.

Advice: This is pretty much what you get with Brooks, some scoring, some 3-pointers, and not much else. His value will likely take a hit when Mike Dunleavy eventually returns to the lineup, but until that happens, he'll be able to post some low-end value in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 4:03 pm
    • Brandan Wright (heel) out Sunday vs. LAC
Brandan Wright (sore left heel) will be inactive for Sunday's game vs. the Clippers.

Advice: This injury is coming out of nowhere, however, considering he's simply dealing with a sore heel he shouldn't be sidelined for an extended amount of time. With Wright unavailable, look for Miles Plumlee to step back into the rotation as the first big off the bench. However, Plumlee is still stuck in a reserve role, so he's not a great play in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 2:34 pm
    • Shelvin Mack (calf) out Sunday vs. Minnesota
Shelvin Mack (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: Mack has been sidelined since Jan. 17, and he currently is without an official timetable to return. However, he's not a major part of the Hawks' rotation so his absence means very little in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jason Smith gets into foul trouble
Jason Smith was in foul trouble during a 76-71 loss to the Hornets on Saturday, finishing with five points, four rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one turnover.

Advice: He did play 32 minutes tonight and it would have been more. Smith has played in at least 32 minutes in four consecutive games and that should continue as long as he's healthy. He's not much of a per-minute guy, but he's worth a look in 14-team leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Kyle Singler will play with a mask
Kyle Singler will play with a mask against the Bucks on Saturday.

Advice: He had a procedure on Friday and should be ready to go. Singler broke his nose and it shouldn't affect his playing time. He's a low-ceiling option in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 3:22 pm
    • Coach Byron Scott praises Jordan Clarkson
Coach Byron Scott heaped praise on rookie Jordan Clarkson after his first career start on Friday against the Spurs.

Advice: "I am very happy with the way Jordan played," Scott said. "He just looked like he was very poised and the moment wasn’t too big for him." Clarkson scored 11 points with four assists and three boards, but given his high usage rate he should see his numbers improve with continued opportunity. There is still no word on whether or not his move to the starting lineup is permanent, but the Lakers would be wise to give their younger players a chance to develop in a lost season. Clarkson is worth keeping a close eye on moving forward, so keep him on your radar. Rotoworld.com

    • Clarkson steps in for Lin, posts low-end line
Jordan Clarkson drew the start at point guard for the Lakers on Friday, scoring 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting (no threes) with three rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes.

Advice: This is a successful outing for him in the grand scheme of things but there are a lot of questions in L.A. right now, starting with Jeremy Lin's (DNP-CD) future and then heading right into whether or not Clarkson's game translates into fantasy value. He's a flier at best barring news that he's suddenly the man in charge, but he could quickly capture our attention so stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Ellington moderately productive with Kobe out
Wayne Ellington scored 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting with six rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes on Friday against the Spurs.

Advice: Ellington looks like the starting shooting guard going forward now that Kobe Bryant is likely out for the year, but he doesn't have a strong body of work even when Kobe has missed time. He's more a guy for owners to watch very closely than add in standard formats, but in deeper leagues he's worth consideration as a speculative add. Rotoworld.com

    • Jason Smith scores 19 points vs. Magic
Jason Smith scored 19 points against the Magic on Friday with five rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: He's apparently in coach Derek Fisher's good graces and has played in at least 32 minutes for three consecutive games. Smith had a grand total of one 3-pointer since the start of the 2010-11, so that part of this game is a shock. He's worth a look for 14-team leagues right now even with Amare Stoudemire coming back Saturday. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 9:15 pm
    • Robert Sacre starting for Ed Davis
Robert Sacre will start against the Spurs on Friday.

Advice: He'll bump Ed Davis to the bench. Sacre has been a DNP-CD in five of his last six games and the book is kind of out on him. He can't defend very well in the post and is more of a jump-shooting big man. It's also worth noting that Coach Bryon Scott said Sacre is only starting because Tarik Black is hurt. He's not likely to have a big season and can be left on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 4:16 pm
    • A New Day: Clarkson, Kelly and Sacre starting
Jordan Clarkson, Wayne Ellington, Ryan Kelly, Jordan Hill and Robert Sacre will start against the Spurs on Friday.

Advice: It's a new day in Lakerland. Clarkson was a ball-dominant guy at summer league and is able of beating his guys off the dribble. The Lakers are likely going to give him some run to see what he has, so he's worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 4:12 pm
    • Kyle Singler iffy for Saturday w/ broken nose
Kyle Singler (nasal fracture) is questionable for Saturday's game in Milwaukee

Advice: Singler was injured on Wednesday, when he scored 14 points in 22 minutes vs. the Magic. He continues to hold down a starting job but hasn't done much to help fantasy owners, averaging 7.4 points on 42.0 percent shooting, so there's no incentive to gamble on him while his status is in doubt. • Jared Dudley turns it around vs. Jazz
Jared Dudley scored 16 points with four rebounds, one steal and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes against the Jazz on Thursday.

Advice: He had a grand total of just two points combined in his last two games. Dudley has really cooled off since a somewhat hot start and he'll continue to be an inconsistent player. He'll likely be a top 120-150 guy the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com

    • Tony Snell starting again on Thursday
Tony Snell will start against the Spurs on Thursday.

    • Beno Udrih probable for Saturday vs 76ers
Beno Udrih (right knee contusion) is probable for Saturday's game against the 76ers.

Advice: Udrih filled in nicely for Mike Conley while he was out over the weekend, but played just 17 minutes off the bench on Monday. While he's worth a look on night's when Conley doesn't play, Udrih doesn't belong on fantasy rosters outside of deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Wayne Ellington scores 12 points in loss
Wayne Ellington returned to the bench on Wednesday and had 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Advice: Kobe Bryant was back in action, which is why Ellington was back on the bench. If Kobe is shut down for the season at some point, Ellington is the favorite to start in his place. And while we like the prospects of Nick Young a little more, Ellington could be a sneaky deep-league pick up without Kobe around. Rotoworld.com

    • Channing Frye quiet w/ Tobias Harris active
Channing Frye made 3-of-4 shots with two 3-pointers on Wednesday, scoring eight points with one rebound and one steal in 23 minutes vs. the Pistons.

Advice: His production predictably tailed off with Tobias Harris back in action -- he averaged 10.2 shots per game while Harris was sidelined, considerably higher than his 7.1 season average. Kyle O'Quinn is also a lurking threat to Frye's value, and 12-team owners shouldn't hesitate to cut him for a player with more rest-of-season upside. Rotoworld.com

An MRI confirmed a left calf strain for Shelvin Mack, and he remains out for Wednesday's game vs. Indiana.

Advice: Mack is the third-string point guard in Atlanta, so his absence doesn't mean much with regards to fantasy. Dennis Schroder will pick up most of his reserve minutes, but as long as Jeff Teague is healthy, both Mack and Schroder belong on the waiver wire in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

Brandan Wright played 24 minutes off the bench on Monday, managing two points on 1-of-4 shooting with five rebounds and two blocks.

Advice: This is pretty big news for him as playing time has always been the problem and his fantasy game has been ultra-efficient.
