  • Austin Rivers scores eight points
Austin Rivers played 33 minutes against the Jazz on Saturday with eight points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Eric Gordon went down and Rivers is going to get minutes. He's been one of the most inefficient players in the NBA lately, but the opportunity is there. Feel free to give him a look in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Bojan Bogdanovic scores just two points
Bojan Boganovic missed all seven shots from the field for two points with two rebounds, one assists and no turnovers.

Advice: He is awful on the road and it's so bad that his owners in deeper leagues should just sit him down. Bogdanovic is still worth owning in some formats, though. Rotoworld.com

  • Kris Humphries goes for 12 and nine
Kris Humphries scored 12 points against the Bucks during a 111-100 win on Saturday to go with nine rebounds, one assist and one block.

Advice: Nene (foot) went down tonight and there is a very good chance he will miss time. Humphries has some upside to be a double-double guy with some defensive stats, so he's a speculative add in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Shane Larkin doesn't play on Saturday
Shane Larkin was a DNP-CD on Saturday.

Advice: He won't be a DNP-CD every game, but it's going to happen. Larkin can be cut in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Iman Shumpert still plays 32 minutes
Iman Shumpert played 32 minutes against the Sixers on Saturday with seven points, two rebounds, three assists, four steals and two turnovers.

Advice: He looked comfortable as the shooting guard tonight and coach Derek Fisher seems to have some confidence in Shumpert as his best wing defender. He won't be an elite guy, but he should have enough value worthy of ownership in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • K.J. McDaniels has a so-so game
K.J. McDaniels played 20 minutes against the Knicks during a 91-83 loss on Saturday, scoring eight points with one steal, two 3-pointers and two turnovers.

Advice: He committed three fouls and it's obvious he's trying to be a hero out there with his minutes. McDaniels is arguably the most talented perimeter player on the 76ers, but his coach won't play him right now. He's a solid stash candidate, but his owners shouldn't consider him a must-own guy at all. Rotoworld.com

  • Robert Covington turns in 100.0 eFG%
Robert Covington turned in a 100.0 effective field goal percentage against the Knicks on Saturday, making 4-of-6 from the field for 14 points with four rebounds and four 3-pointers.

Advice: He's leading the team in plus-minus and the 76ers are just a better team when he's out there. His minutes should be on the rise, so owners in deeper leagues might want to be a couple steps ahead of the curve and make a move. Covington does offer nice upside, as well. Rotoworld.com

  • Alexey Shved does his usual thing
Alexey Shved made 1-of-7 from the field in eight minutes of action against the Knicks on Saturday.

Advice: He did not see the court in the second half and coach Brett Brown may have had an epiphany with Shved. He was their backup point guard, but that should probably change soon. Shved has no fantasy value and the fact that he's getting minutes is exhibit A for the tank conspiracy theorists out there. Rotoworld.com

  • Terrence Ross quiet as Lou Williams erupts
Terrence Ross started Saturday's game but soon took a backseat to Lou Williams, finishing with just two points on 1-of-5 shooting and one rebound in 17 minutes.

Advice: Williams was simply on fire, pouring in 36 points in 29 minutes, so it's understandable that coach Dwane Casey opted to bench Ross, who has been an under-the-radar top-80 value this season. If you need 3-pointers and a trickle of across-the-board stats, don't let this dud dissuade you from hanging onto T-Ross. Rotoworld.com

  • Lou Williams drops career-high 36 vs. Cavs
Lou Williams was unstoppable vs. the Cavs on Saturday, setting a new career-high with 36 points (9-of-19 FGs, 15-of-15 FTs) on Saturday, adding three 3-pointers, four rebounds and three steals in just 29 minutes.

Advice: He made 9-of-9 free throws in his first nine minutes alone, and this is an extreme example of the instant offense that Toronto was hoping he'd provide when they traded for him this summer. His 18-20 minute bench role isn't well-suited to sustainable fantasy value, unfortunately, and he's likely to remain an unsteady option in 12-team leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Matt Bonner (illness) will not play on Sat.
Matt Bonner (illness) will not play against the Nets on Saturday.

Advice: He was doubtful and his illness will cost him his third game. Bonner has been helpful for the Spurs while Tiago Splitter (calf) has been out, but he's usually not worth starting in almost any fantasy league. Rotoworld.com

  • Norris Cole (finger) will not play vs. Magic
Norris Cole (finger) will not play against the Magic on Saturday.

Advice: It's going to be Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier handling the minutes at point guard tonight. With Chalmers logging more minutes at point guard, Shannon Brown will also be getting more run. The Heat have no been playing James Ennis at shooting guard much, so he doesn't benefit much. Matt Bonner (illness) is doubtful to face the Nets on Saturday.

  • Norris Cole (finger) doubtful for Saturday
Norris Cole (finger) is doubtful to play vs. the Magic on Saturday.

Advice: The original diagnosis of a dislocated finger hasn't been changed, but owners should prepare to be without him for at least one game. "He's still splinted," said Erik Spoelstra, "but it could turn into a playable splint." Shabazz Napier's playing time gets a big boost with this news, and he'll likely start alongside Mario Chalmers in the backcourt if Cole doesn't play. Napier is worth a look as a temporary option at PG. Rotoworld.com

  • Larkin, Prigioni to split backup PG role
The Knicks' backup PG job will be a "nightly" toss-up between Shane Larkin and Pablo Prigioni, according to coach Derek Fisher.

Advice: "There will be times when Pablo is the best fit. There will be times when Shane is the best fit," said Fisher. "And we will just do in that moment what we think is best for the group. They have both done some good things for us so I wouldn’t put any one of them out of the mix with Jose coming back." A timeshare for backup minutes is a recipe for fantasy irrelevance. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrea Bargnani strains calf at practice Fri.
Andrea Bargnani (strained calf, hamstring) injured himself during Friday's practice and he will not play vs. the 76ers on Saturday.

Advice: An MRI revealed the calf strain and he's still recovering from his hamstring strain, and coach Derek Fisher admitted that Bargnani "isn't at a place where you can just put him out there and not be fully concerned." Bargnani has been lousy for the past few seasons, and the Knicks have enough frontcourt depth that he's not worth a speculative pickup. Rotoworld.com

  • Roberson steals two, blocks four vs. Nets
Andre Roberson moved back into the starting lineup and played 22 minutes on Friday, scoring four points with four rebounds, two assists, two steals and four blocks.

Advice: Roberson has sneaky fantasy value and in his six games he has returned late-round value when he has been on the floor. Scott Brooks loves him and it wouldn't be surprising to see him start for the rest of the season, but there still isn't a lot of stable ground here. If you want to take a flier in a deep league we can get behind that, but otherwise it pays to wait and see if he can keep it up. Rotoworld.com

  • Bogdanovic held to three points on Friday
Bojan Bogdanovic missed all five of his field goal attempts and finished with just three points over 24 minutes in Friday's win.

Advice: Bogdan had crept into the 12-team standard league discussion but he's still too much of a secondary option in Brooklyn for our tastes. After he shakes off this game, he'll be on the bubble in 14-team leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • K.J. McDaniels scores career-high 17 points
K.J. McDaniels scored a career-high 17 points against the Suns during an ugly 122-96 loss on Friday to go with three rebounds, two steals and one 3-pointer on 5-of-12 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line in 28 minutes.

Advice: His mom has yet to tweet about it as of the time this blurb was written. McDaniels has done quite a bit in the stat sheet with his 1.4 blocks and 1.1 triples in just 22.0 minutes on the season and he's likely going to get out there for more playing time. He's still more of a stash player right now. Rotoworld.com

  • Alexey Shved plays well against Suns
Alexey Shved played 18 minutes off the bench against the Suns on Friday with 15 points, five rebounds, two steals and three 3-pointers on 6-of-9 from the field.

Advice: If the Sixers are indeed going to stick with Tony Wroten in the starting lineup, Shved will be the backup point guard. He actually has one of the highest usage rates among players with less than 20 minutes, but he's obviously only worth owning in deep leagues. After all, he was a DNP-CD on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com

  • Andre Roberson will start Friday vs. the Nets
Andre Roberson will start on Friday, sending Jeremy Lamb to the bench.

Advice: Roberson is a defensive specialist for the Thunder, so he doesn't bring too much to the box score. He's averaging 6.0 points and 6.0 rebounds with the starting unit, and his minutes will be capped at 20 tonight, so he doesn't really belong on an active roster outside of extremely deep leagues. • Andrea Bargnani doesn't done a lot
Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) hasn't done "a lot" of contact in practice, according to coach Derek Fisher.

Advice: The Knicks backpedaling a bit on Bargnani suggests he might not play against the 76ers on Saturday after all. The Knicks have some major issues in their front court and teams have been destroying them, ranking last in the Eastern Conference for defensive efficiency. Obviously, Bargnani is not going to fix that. Owners in standard leagues will need to see multiple impressive games before making a move to grab him Rotoworld.com

  • Nets looking to deal Karasev?
The Nets could deal Sergey Karasev to the 76ers.

Advice: He's not playing for the Nets and there's a decent chance he'll get playing time with the 76ers. Karasev is still not very talented, so he would only be a speculative add in a ridiculously deep league. The Nets are hoping to land a trade exception in the deal. Rotoworld.com

  • Bargnani (hamstring) limited in practice Fri.
Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) was a limited participant during Friday's practice, but is still expected to make his regular-season debut Saturday vs. the 76ers.

Advice: Bargnani does have a favorable matchup vs. the Sixers, but he's likely going to be eased into the rotation upon his return, limiting his value to deep leagues. His next injury is just right around the corner, so owners shouldn't be too excited to add the former No. 1 overall pick. Owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach. Rotoworld.com

  • Matt Bonner (stomach) out Friday vs. Boston
Matt Bonner (stomach illness) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Celtics.

  • Norris Cole plays better on Saturday
Norris Cole did not return from his dislocated left middle finger against the Clippers on Thursday, finishing with no points and one assist in 10 minutes.

Advice: Cole was on the bench after a trip to the locker room, but it seemed clear the team didn't want to put him back out there. The team has yet to share any X-ray results and he might have an MRI coming on Friday. Shabazz Napier would be a deep-league speculative add for now. Rotoworld.com

Norris Cole suffered a dislocated left middle finger and is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Clippers.

Matt Bonner (stomach illness) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: Bonner is averaging just 6.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.4 three-pointers on the season, and that pretty much tells you all you need to know about Bonner's non-existent fantasy value. Feel free to leave The Red Mamba on the wire in all but the deepest of leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • K.J. McDaniels frustrated by lack of PT
K.J. McDaniels said he was frustrated that his minutes were limited while he was playing well on Wednesday.

Advice: McDaniels didn't miss a shot during Wednesday's loss, scoring eight points (two 3-pointers) to go with two rebounds and a block, but coach Brett Brown limited him to just 11 minutes of action. Brown explained that the 76ers have a "logjam at the big wing position," which is an interesting statement considering McDaniels' competition goes by the names of Hollis Thompson, Luc Mbah a Moute, and Robert Covington. McDaniels is clearly the most talented player out of the group, but the 76ers organization is not interested in putting talented players on the floor if it gives the team a chance to win. Still, the Sixers are likely eventually going to give McDaniels minutes in order to give him a chance to develop, and he can be viewed as a stash candidate for owners in standard leagues. • Andrea Bargnani expected to play Saturday
Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) is expected to be available when the Knicks play the 76ers on Saturday.

Advice: Bargnani has finally been able to practice without any setbacks and it looks like his season debut will come against the Sixers on Saturday. • Is Norris Cole on the Heat's trade block?
Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel thinks there is a chance that the Heat trade Norris Cole this season.

Advice: Coupled with Mario Chalmers' recent strong play, Winderman cites the fact the Heat declined to extend Cole before the October 31 deadline as a reason that Miami might explore a trade. Cole is stuck in a backcourt logjam with Chalmers and rookie Shabazz Napier, so his fantasy value is limited to deeper leagues unless he can separate himself from the pack. Rotoworld.com

Andre Roberson returned from a foot injury on Wednesday and played seven minutes, finishing with three points, two rebounds, one assist and a 3-pointer.

Advice: He's been out for a few weeks with the injury, but could be slotted into the starting SG job once he's fully healthy. That's where he was before the injury, but he isn't much of a fantasy prospect unless you're in a really deep league. Rotoworld.com

Terrence Ross hit 6-of-14 shots for 16 points, two rebounds, a steal, a block and three 3-pointers in Wednesday's win over Memphis.

Advice: Ross had hit double digits in scoring in four straight games before a four-point dud on Saturday, but got back on track tonight. That means he's played very well in five of his last six games, and should be looked to as a nice source of 3-pointers going forward. Rotoworld.com

  • Iman Shumpert makes just 1-of-11 shots
Iman Shumpert made just 1-of-11 from the field against the Wolves on Wednesday with three points, four rebounds, one assist and four turnovers.

Advice: He turned in a 21-point gem on Tuesday night and was on the other end of the spectrum. Most of the Knicks wings are not giving Shumpert much competition, so he should still be able to keep his playing time somewhat high even when Jose Calderon (calf) comes back. He's worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Bojan Bogdanovic plays 47 minutes
Bojan Bogdanovic played a career-high 47 minutes against the Bucks on Wednesday with 19 points, seven rebounds and four 3-pointers.

Advice: He attempted 11 shots from beyond the arc and was 7-of-16 from the field overall. Bogdanovic is starting to figure the NBA game out and he's now turned in two good games in a row. He's still not doing much outside of scoring, so the upside isn't really there for owners in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • K.J. McDaniels quiet again in loss
K.J. McDaniels played just 11 minutes on Wednesday, despite hitting 3-of-3 shots and both of his 3-point attempts, and finished with eight points, two rebounds and a block.

Advice: He's blocking shots and playing pretty well, but just can't get minutes from his coach. We've been preaching patience with the rookie, but it has to be tough holding him in leagues where you need him to produce. He was seeing minutes in the mid-20s prior to low usage in two of his last three, so if you can continue to hold on, do it. But if you feel the need to drop him for someone reliable and producing right now, that option has to be considered. Rotoworld.com

Andre Roberson (foot) is available to play against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Advice: It's unclear if he is going to start or if his minutes are limited. Roberson was close to playing on Tuesday, but he probably won't be fully unleashed tonight. Matt Bonner will not suit up for the Spurs on Wednesday due to a stomach illness.

Advice: Tiago Splitter (calf) is still on the shelf, so there will be extra opportunities for Tim Duncan, Boris Diaw and Aron Baynes against the Cavaliers' lenient frontcourt. Iman Shumpert (hip) returned in style on Tuesday, scoring 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting with two 3-pointers, eight rebounds, eight assists, three steal and three turnovers.

Advice: He did his damage in 36 minutes while starting alongside J.R. Smith, with Carmelo Anthony taking over at PF. Shump is on fire from the field and is shooting 50.5 percent on the season, compared to his previous career-best 40.1 percent shooting, and fantasy owners should continue to ride him until he cools off. • Shane Larkin scoreless in 22 minutes vs. MIL
Shane Larkin's streak of quiet games continued on Tuesday, as he went scoreless with zero rebounds and one assist in just 22 minutes.

Advice: He has been starting at PG by default but Jose Calderon is nearing a return, and fantasy owners should cut Larkin in all formats. He's yet to score double-digit points in a game this season, largely because he's attempting only 5.9 shots in 27 minutes per game. Rotoworld.com

Andre Roberson (foot) will not return on Tuesday and he remains day-to-day.

Advice: Shumpert will play at small forward, and will be joined by Shane Larkin, J.R. Smith, Carmelo Anthony, and Samuel Dalembert with Quincy Acey heading to the bench. The most interesting part about this news is that J.R. Smith will start alongside Shumpert, and Smith is fresh off a 28-point game vs. the Nuggets. Alexey Shved returned to action on Monday with four points, one assist and one steal in 12 minutes.

Robert Covington made his 76ers debut on Monday against the Spurs with six points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 17 minutes.

  • Bojan scores 22 points with four treys
Bojan Bogdanovic scored 22 points on 8-of-11 shooting (including four treys) with three rebounds and one steal over 41 minutes on Monday against the Heat.

Advice: Bogdanovic has crept onto the standard league radar with averages of 30.5 minutes, 10.5 points, 1.5 threes and some friendly percentages to offset his lack of pop in other categories. 12-team owners in need of low-end production should give him a look. Rotoworld.com

Coach Brett Brown said Robert Covington promised him he would play defense.

Advice: "He's a shooter," Brown said. "So the challenge will be to get him to guard." Covington was the first pick in the D-League draft and was third in the D-League for scoring in 2013-14. He doesn't take mid-range jumpers with only 8.3 percent of his shots last year coming from that distance while in the D-League. Smith will see his window of increased value extended ever so slightly. In that scenario, Tim Hardaway should pick up a few minutes as well. Rotoworld.com

  • Kris Humphries coming on after hand injury
Kris Humphries is emerging as part of the Wizards' rotation after being initially slowed by his hand injury.

Advice: Humphries was dealing with nerve damage in his right hand that required surgery, and now he's really starting to play the role Washington envisioned upon acquiring him in a sign-and-trade during the offseason. "He goes in there and just bangs," Randy Wittman said. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrea Bargnani could practice by Friday
Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) could practice by Friday.

Advice: Bargnani updates have been few and far between since he injured his hamstring in the preseason, but it appears he's finally making progress. It's unclear what his role will be when he does return, and owners in standard leagues can monitor his progress from the waive wire. Rotoworld.com

  • Shane Larkin will start for Knicks on Sunday
Shane Larkin will start for the Knicks on Sunday vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: Larkin has been inconsistent all season but has shown flashes of good play. However, Jose Calderon (calf) is expected to return very soon meaning that Larkin should be left on the waiver wire in almost all leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) out on Sunday
Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game, but coach Derek Fisher is hopeful that both Bargnani and Jose Calderon (calf) can resume practicing this week.

Advice: Owners in standard leagues have the luxury of waiting with this news, as Bargnani will have to prove that he can still perform at a high level, which we haven't seen in a long time. He could return in late November, making him someone to keep an eye on in deeper leagues for owners who enjoy a little risk. Calderon, on the other hand, needs to be owned in almost all leagues. • Iman Shumpert (hip) is out for Sunday's game
Iman Shumpert (hip) is out for Sunday's game and J.R. Smith will draw the start.

Advice: This is a tough blow for Shump's owners, as he had been playing well so far this season. He isn't expected to miss much time, so J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway are only options for owners in need of short-term value. Consider Shumpert day-to-day and we will update his status as needed. Rotoworld.com

  • Robert Covington will be available Monday
Robert Covington, who was signed out of the D-League on Saturday, will be available to play for the 76ers on Monday in San Antonio.

Advice: He has a huge opportunity for playing time in Philly and will likely see a good chunk of minutes right out of the gate. He is worthy of a flier in deeper leagues while owners in standard leagues can take a wait-and-see approach. Covington was the first pick in this year's D-League draft so he does possess some talent. At the very least, keep an eye on him going forward. Rotoworld.com

  • Andre Roberson (foot) is not close to return
Andre Roberson (foot) is not close to making a return to the Thunder, and will not play on Sunday.

Advice: The Thunder haven't released a lot of info on Roberson which doesn't bode well for his status going forward. The defensive specialist should remain on the waiver wire in almost all leagues until we get a positive report. In the meantime, Jeremy Lamb will continue to play as many minutes as he can handle and is considered a boom-or-bust option. Rotoworld.com

  • Iman Shumpert (hip) is doubtful Sunday
Iman Shumpert (hip) is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against Denver.

Advice: He had to leave the game on Friday but the good news was that X-rays were negative. Shumpert could still play Sunday but if he doesn't, expect the Knicks to use a committee approach to fill Shump's minutes with the likes of Shane Larkin and Pablo Prigioni. However, neither of those players are what we would call enticing pickups so owners in standard leagues will want to avoid them. Rotoworld.com

  • Terrence Ross has a sweet dunk, four points
Terrence Ross scored four points against the Jazz on Saturday with one rebound, two assists and no turnovers in 23 minutes.

Advice: For the second year in a row, Ross might have the dunk of the year. Last year he threw one down on Kenneth Faried and this year he slammed home an alley-oop off a terrible pass. Meanwhile, this game really slowed down some of the momentum he had coming in, but he still has averages of 13.6 points, 3.6 boards, 0.8 steals and 2.8 triples over his last five. He's more of an end-of-the-bench fantasy option. Rotoworld.com

  • Kris Humphries plays 26 minutes
Kris Humphries played 26 minutes off the bench against the Magic on Saturday with 16 points, six rebounds and one block.

Advice: It's his second game in a row with at least 25 minutes and he's created a nice little role for himself. Humphries has been the primary bench big man and is an option in deep leagues. He could also be a solid pickup if/when Nene goes down. Rotoworld.com

  • Iman Shumpert (hip) doubtful for Sunday
Iman Shumpert (hip) missed practice on Saturday and is doubtful to play on Sunday against the Nuggets.

Advice: He did not return from his hip contusion on Friday, but X-rays were negative. Shumpert isn't expected to miss too much time, but there's a chance he could miss time even beyond Sunday. Shane Larkin and Pablo Prigioni will have to play next to each other for several possesions while J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. may play more, too. There isn't a great pickup to make here, though. • Andre Roberson (foot) still out of practice
Andre Roberson (foot) did not practice on Saturday and is listed as out against the Rockets on Sunday.

Advice: He has been ruled out for games before shootaround and we'd probably expect the Thunder to rule him out soon. With Roberson likely out, Anthony Morrow and Jeremy Lamb figure to get most of the work on the wings. Rotoworld.com

  • Robert Covington to join 76ers on Saturday
Robert Covington is expected to join up with the 76ers on Saturday, while Chris Johnson is set to be waived.

Advice: The first pick in this year's D-League draft, Covington has a chance to crack the rotation in Philly and owners in deep leagues should definitely take notice. However, until he proves he can play at a high level, unlike his stint in Houston last season, owners in standard leagues can monitor him from the waiver wire. Rotoworld.com

  • Shved does not play on Thursday or Friday
Alexey Shved (back) did not play on Thursday against the Mavs or on Friday against the Rockets.

Advice: Until Shved can get healthy and build some momentum, he can be ignored in most formats. Rotoworld.com

  • McDaniels plays just 16 minutes on Friday
K.J. McDaniels played just 16 minutes off the bench on Friday, finishing with four points on 2-of-5 shooting with five rebounds and two steals.

Advice: Brett Brown is just tightening the leash on his rookie. He's averaging a combined 3.4 steals, blocks and threes in just 23 mpg, and owners should do the opposite and give him a longer leash instead. Rotoworld.com

  • Norris Cole has a decent game vs. ATL
Norris Cole scored six points in a 114-103 loss to the Hawks on Friday with two rebounds, eight assists, four steals and one block in 28 minutes.

Advice: Shabazz Napier still played 21 minutes off the bench and had four points, one assist and three turnovers. Cole seems like he should be able to keep his minutes in the mid 20s, but Mario Chalmers is the more value asset in standard leagues right now. Rotoworld.com

  • K.J. McDaniels back to the bench on Friday
K.J. McDaniels will come off the bench against the Rockets on Friday.

Advice: He started against the Mavericks and it didn't go well. McDaniels was chewed out by his coach, so he might need some time in the second unit before coach Brett Brown trusts him again. He's a stash guy. Rotoworld.com

  • Bojan Bogdanovic plays 37 minutes
Bojan Bogdanovic played 37 minutes against the Warriors on Thursday with nine points, three rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He's been fairly quiet with the exception of a couple big games, but the 3-pointers have buoyed his value. Fantasy owners can probably leave him on the wire until he has a breakout game. Rotoworld.com

  • K.J. McDaniels squanders chance in start
K.J. McDaniels was a disappointment in the starting lineup against the Mavericks on Thursday with eight points, two rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

Advice: Coach Brett Brown got a McChunk out of McDaniels for a blown defensive assignment, but it didn't look like it was totally on him on the surface. As bad as this line was, the 76ers just have to play him because who is deserves playing time more than him? JaKarr Sampson? Chris Johnson? Bueller? Anyway, he's worth a look in all leagues as a top-end stash for his output in blocks and treys. Rotoworld.com

  • K.J. McDaniels gets the start on Thursday
K.J. McDaniels will start against the Mavericks on Thursday night.

Advice: Well, coach Brett Brown finally budged. McDaniels has been a huge spark off the bench on the defensive end and he's shooting the ball better, as well. Chances are his minutes won't jump up too high tonight, but this is obviously a great sign for the "Free K.J." movement. He's still more of a stash, but a big game could change that. Rotoworld.com

  • Bargnani (hamstring) limited in practice
Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) has not yet been cleared for contact, and was limited during Thursday's practice.

Advice: Bargnani remains without an official timetable for his return, but with a lengthy history of being sidelined, and minimal contributions to the stat sheet, he's not going to be someone worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Bojan Bogdanovic has a decent game
Bojan Bogdanovic scored 14 points against the Suns on Wednesday with two rebounds, one steal and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: It was a mild letdown from his 22-point gem on Sunday, but it's still the kind of line that shouldn't send his owners running for the hills. Bogdanovic should get better as the year goes along, so he's an option at the end of a standard league bench. Rotoworld.com

  • Norris Cole barely hanging in there for Heat
Norris Cole had nine points, four rebounds and seven assists in 27 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.

Advice: He's simply been awful for most of the season. If you're in a league that requires you to start point guards and you're thin there, hanging onto him probably makes some sense. But if you're good at point guard and are ready to move on to greener pastures, you have our blessing. Rotoworld.com

  • Kris Humphries nearly double-doubles in win
Kris Humphries came off the bench for 12 points, nine rebounds and two blocks on Wednesday.

Advice: This was his best game of the season and he played 25 minutes. He's still not a waiver-wire target in most leagues, but is worth putting on your watch list to see if this is the start of a hot streak for the ex-Kardashian. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) out indefinitely
Andrea Bargnani (hamstring) is "progressing well" but he still doesn't have a return date.

Advice: Bargnani has been limited in practices and what little value he might have is dwindling by the day. His 3-point shooting has deteriorated over the years and he rebounds at a historically poor rate for a 7-footer, so when you throw in his lengthy injury history there's no incentive to own him in fantasy leagues. • Alexey Shved (back) questionable to play Mavs
Alexey Shved (lower back soreness) missed practice again on Wednesday, leaving him questionable for Thursday's game vs. Dallas.

Advice: Shved has been playing 18 minutes per game, so if he can't suit up more minutes will be available for Tony Wroten, Chris Johnson and K.J. McDaniels. The return of Michael Carter-Williams (shoulder) will fundamentally alter Philly's rotation, though, so fantasy owners may want to hedge their bets until we see how coach Brett Brown doles out playing time. • K.J. McDaniels wants to start for Philly?
K.J. McDaniels said that starting for the 76ers would "mean a lot."

Advice: "I still have to go in there and do my job, you know coming in here, bring excitement either coming off the bench or starting," McDaniels said. Coach Brett Brown has been nitpicking on the negatives with McDaniels, so it would appear the rookie is still going to come off the bench for a little while longer. Still, he has 2.2 blocks per game over his last five and is a great stash candidate in even shallower leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • K.J. McDaniels making strides with the 76ers
K.J. McDaniels is making strides with the 76ers so far this season, and has emerged as one of the best perimeter blockers in the game.

Advice: "I'm just trying to come out and compete hard every day," McDaniels said when asked of his role. "I'm just trying to learn as much as possible and keep my motor going." He is still coming off of the bench, but his role could very well change as the season progresses. McDaniels possesses some serious upside and is more than worthy of a stash due to his ability to accumulate 3-pointers, blocks, and steals. Rotoworld.com
