      Advice: Curry beat out DeMar DeRozan and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, receiving 45 first-place votes to DeRozan’s 34. Those two were separated by 26 total points, with SGA coming in third with 160 points (11 first-place votes). Curry led the NBA in crunch time points (189), made field goals (59), and made 3-pointers (32). “Crunch time” is defined as the final five minutes of a game within five points. Fox, whose 35 points was his best outing since April 5, finished the regular season with a career-best 26.6 points per game and will surely be one of the top guards taken in next season's drafts.       De’Aaron Fox shot 12-of-29 from the field and 7-of-11 from the foul line in Friday’s 105-98 loss to the Pelicans, scoring 35 points with seven rebounds, five assists, three steals, and four 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

      Advice: Fox produced a gaudy point total in his final action of the 2023-24 season, but the Pelicans made him work for his numbers. The Kings point guard was inefficient, shooting 4-of-16 from three while committing five turnovers. While Fox’s scoring (26.6), rebound (4.6), and steal (2.0) averages increased in comparison to last season, his field-goal and free-throw percentages decreased. However, that did not prevent him from providing 2nd-round per-game value in 8- and 9-cat formats, and the same can be said for Fox’s totals value.       Advice: DeRozan did his part as his squad looked to advance to the opening round of the postseason, knocking down 50.0 percent of his tries from the field while contributing on the defensive end.       DeMar DeRozan finished Friday’s 112-91 loss to the Heat with 22 points (8-of-16 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, and three 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

      Advice: DeRozan did what he could to lead the way for the Bulls, but Chicago shooting 38.0% from the field was too much for him to overcome on Friday. Not known for his 3-point shooting ability, Deebo shot 10-of-16 from beyond the arc in Chicago’s last four games. The 35-year-old wing will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and while the Bulls have expressed interest in bringing him back, it’s fair to wonder if running it back with essentially the same roster is the best idea. Zach LaVine (foot) and Lonzo Ball (knee) are rehabbing injuries, as is Patrick Williams (foot).       Coby White shot 5-of-16 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Friday’s 112-91 loss to the Heat, tallying 13 points, two rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

      Advice: What a difference a game makes. Two nights removed from torching the Hawks for 42 points, White ran into more significant resistance in Miami. The Heat made life difficult for the Bulls guard, who had as many turnovers as assists (four). Friday’s performance was a disappointing end to the best season of White’s NBA career, and he will receive some votes for the Most Improved Player award. Entering the season with a Yahoo ADP of 138.9, he provided 8th-round per-game value in 8- and 9-cat formats.       During his season-ending press conference, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Jonathan Kuminga needs to become more versatile this offseason.

      Advice: While the 2023-24 season was the best of Kuminga’s NBA career, his skill set limited where he could play within the Warriors’ rotation. According to Cleaning the Glass, 96% of his minutes were played at the power forward position, meaning he could not share the floor with Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis. That trio can be Golden State’s best defensive frontcourt, but only if Kuminga expands his offensive repertoire. “I think he sees the floor pretty well, but his fundamentals in terms of passing have to improve if he’s going to play the three,” Kerr said. “We need him to play the three if we want to have Trayce out there at the five and Draymond at the four. Perhaps the biggest feather in DeRozan's cap is his attendance record, as he's played at least 74 games per season over three years in Chicago. The veteran will be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason, and the Bulls will likely make a competitive offer unless another team presents an irresistible package.
