    • Explodes for 40 points in Game 2
Brown contributed 40 points (14-27 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 8-11 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 37 minutes during Thursday's 126-110 victory over the Pacers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Advice: Brown has been on a roll of late, and this 40-point effort was his best scoring mark of the 2023-24 playoff campaign. The star forward has surpassed the 25-point mark in four of his last five appearances, and he should continue to have a massive role in the Celtics' offensive scheme during Game 3 on Saturday. • Jrue Holiday records double-double in Game 2 win
Jrue Holiday recorded a double-double on Thursday with 15 points (6-of-7 FGs), three rebounds, 10 assists and three triples against the Pacers in Game 2.

Advice: Holiday did most of his work in the first half of this game, but after being relatively quiet through the first two rounds, he turned in his second straight excellent performance. After having his highest scoring game of the playoffs in Game 1, Holiday followed that up with his first double-double of this postseason. That helped them take a 2-0 lead in this series, which leaves them two wins away from the NBA Finals. This is the player that Boston traded for this summer that they hoped would put them over the edge. If he continues to play to this level, it just might work out. Rotoworld Today, 7:54 pm
    • Jaylen Brown drops 40 in Game 2 win over Indiana
Jaylen Brown led Boston with 40 points (14-of-27 FGs, 8-of-11 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in a 126-110 win over Indiana in Game 2 on Thursday.

Advice: Brown obviously felt like he deserved to be on an All-NBA team, and he made sure to let the league know that he felt disrespected. He got off to a hot start and scored 24 points before halftime and went on to have his highest scoring game of this postseason. He made the All-NBA second team last season, and he did receive 50 third place votes this year, which made him the last name off the ballot. His performance was huge in helping them win Game 2, which was something they didn’t do in the first two rounds of this postseason. He’ll look to keep it going in Game 3 on Saturday as the series shifts to Indiana. Rotoworld Today, 7:47 pm
    • Probable for Game 2
Doncic is probable for Friday's Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals versus Minnesota due to left ankle soreness and a right knee sprain.

Advice: Doncic has been dealing with multiple injuries throughout the Mavericks' postseason run, and the fact that he's dealing with two completely independent injuries goes to show just how banged up he is. He's been a regular on Dallas' injury report recently, but the probable tag suggests he'll play with no limitations Friday. Doncic racked up 33 points (12-26 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and three steals in 41 minutes during Wednesday's 108-105 victory over Minnesota in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. • Luka Doncic (knee/ankle) probable for Game 2
Luka Doncic (right knee sprain/left ankle soreness) is probable for Game 2 against Minnesota on Friday.

Advice: Luka is still dealing with multiple injuries, but that isn’t expected to keep him out of the lineup. He came alive in the fourth quarter of Game 1, and he’ll look to have another big performance in Game 2 with an opportunity to steal both games on the road. Rotoworld Today, 3:35 pm
    • Poor shooting in Game 1
Towns racked up 16 points (6-20 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 108-105 loss to Dallas in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: The Timberwolves need Towns to be consistent as an offensive threat, and while the numbers have been there most of the time, the efficiency has been lacking. Towns has scored at least 20 points in four of his last eight appearances since the start of the series against the Nuggets while shooting 47.4 percent from the field in that span, so he seems to be getting the job done even when he has an off night from time to time. Given he only made 30 percent of his shots in Game 1 on Wednesday, Towns will aim to bounce back in Game 2 on Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 am
    • Leads Minnesota in Game 1 loss
McDaniels finished Wednesday's 108-105 loss to the Mavericks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals with 24 points (9-15 FG, 6-9 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 39 minutes.

Advice: McDaniels carried the Timberwolves in scoring and delivered another impressive outing, as he seems to have carried the momentum of the series against the Nuggets into this matchup. McDaniels has now scored at least 20 points in three straight games -- a personal-best mark -- while shooting 68.6 percent from the field, so it wouldn't be shocking if he has a more prominent role as a scoring weapon in Game 2 on Friday. • Scores 33 points in Game 1
Doncic racked up 33 points (12-26 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and three steals in 41 minutes during Wednesday's 108-105 victory over Minnesota in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: The Mavericks pulled the upset and stole the home-court advantage with a huge win in the series opener. Doncic played a pivotal role in that outcome, leading the team in scoring and assists while also delivering 15 points, three rebounds and two steals in the fourth quarter alone. Doncic has now scored at least 30 points in two of his last three playoff appearances, and he should be Dallas' go-to player for Game 2 of the series Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:20 am
    • Karl-Anthony Towns scores 16 points in Game 1 loss
Karl-Anthony Towns finished Wednesday’s 108-105 loss to the Mavericks with 16 points (6-of-20 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: Minnesota’s top two offensive weapons struggled on Wednesday, with Towns shooting 6-of-20 from the field and Anthony Edwards slightly better at 6-of-16. KAT shot 51% from the field in the second-round series against Denver, and he was a 52.6% shooter in four regular-season meetings with the Mavericks. However, each meeting with Dallas was played before the trade deadline, so Wednesday was KAT’s first look at a Mavericks lineup that included PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford. If the Timberwolves are to win this series, Towns has to be more efficient than he was in Game 1. Game 2 is on Friday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:53 pm
