    • Shows improvement in Game 2
Russell logged 23 points (8-16 FG, 7-11 3Pt), three rebounds and six assists across 39 minutes during Monday's 101-99 loss to the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: Russell delivered a much-improved effort compared to Game 1 when he notched 13 points while shooting poorly from the field (6-20 FG, 1-9 3Pt). However, his strong contributions were not enough Monday, as the Lakers wasted a 20-point lead and lost the game on a buzzer-beater from Jamal Murray. Nonetheless, the uptick in efficiency is nice to see from Russell, who should have a pivotal role on offense in Thursday's decisive Game 3. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:02 am
    • D’Angelo Russell starts hot, finishes with 23 PTS
D’Angelo Russell played 39 minutes in Monday’s 101-99 loss to the Nuggets, accounting for 23 points (8-of-16 FGs), three rebounds, six assists, and seven 3-pointers.

Advice: Much was made about Russell’s poor Game 1, especially considering how poorly he played in last season’s Western Conference Finals. He appeared to have a point to prove to begin Game 2, as D’Lo hit all three of his 3-point attempts and scored nine points in the first quarter. He finished with an efficient 23, shooting 7-of-11 from beyond the arc. However, he was 2-of-6 from the field in the second half, which was a decrease in production the Lakers can’t afford, given the caliber of the opponent they’re up against. Russell and the Lakers head home for Game 3 on Thursday. Rotoworld Monday, 10:13 pm
    • Franz Wagner (shoulder) points 18/7/2/1/1 line
Franz Wagner (right shoulder) accounted for 18 points (5-of-17 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes in Monday’s 96-86 loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Like Paolo Banchero, Wagner had a rough night offensively. In addition to the poor shooting, he committed six of Orlando’s 16 turnovers (Banchero also had six). Also, Wagner appeared to injure his right shoulder during the final minute to make matters worse. Play never stopped, so he remained on the court through the final buzzer, which may land Wagner on the injury report ahead of Thursday’s Game 3. The other injury concern is Jalen Suggs, who strained his left knee during the first quarter. He returned to begin the third and finished with nine points, six rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 29 minutes. Rotoworld Monday, 7:18 pm
    • Nears 20 points in balanced outing
Wagner tallied 18 points (5-17 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 38 minutes in Orlando's 96-86 loss to Cleveland in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series.

Advice: Wagner struggled to find his shot a bit in Monday's defeat but still provided a lift offensively by ending two points shy of the 20-point mark while leading all Magic players in rebounds in a balanced performance. Wagner has put together back-to-back strong showings for Orlando to start the opening-round series, posting 18 points and seven boards in both contests. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:10 pm
    • Darius Garland finishes Game 2 with 15 points
Darius Garland amassed 15 points (5-of-11 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 32 minutes in Monday’s win over the Magic.

Advice: After appearing to tweak his lower back during Game 1, Garland was not on the injury report ahead of Game 2. The more significant issue for the Cavaliers’ point guard on Monday was foul trouble, which cut into his usual time on the court. Garland still led Cleveland with four 3-pointers, providing needed spacing on a night when the other four starters combined go 4-of-19 from beyond the arc. The series now shifts to Orlando, with Game 3 scheduled for Thursday night. Rotoworld Monday, 7:01 pm
    • Leads from deep in Game 2 win
Garland posted 15 points (5-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four assists, three rebounds and one steal over 32 minutes in Cleveland's 96-86 win over Orlando in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series.

Advice: Garland had a strong showing from deep in Cleveland's second straight victory to begin the series, connecting on a team-high mark from three while handing out a team-high-tying assist total and ending as one of four Cavaliers with 15 or more points. Garland has provided a nice boost for Cleveland through two games in the first round, posting at least 14 points, four assists and three rebounds in two straight outings. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:00 pm
    • Leading scorer in defeat
Adebayo closed Sunday's 114-94 loss to Boston in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals with 24 points (10-18 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes.

Advice: Adebayo led all players in scoring while pacing the Heat in rebounds to go along with a trio of assists in a losing effort. Adebayo recorded 24 or more points in 14 games during the regular season, entering the playoffs with two straight games with at least 17 points and six boards. We could see Adebayo's workload continue to increase in the opening round series with Jimmy Butler still recovering from a knee injury. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:24 pm
    • Bam Adebayo scores 24 points vs. Celtics Sunday
Bam Adebayo totaled 24 points (10-of-18 shooting) to go along with six rebounds and three assists.

Advice: Adebayo had a successful scoring night and led all players in points, but surprisingly didn’t record any blocks or steals in the contest despite being Miami’s defensive anchor. Whether he’ll make his presence felt moving forward remains to be seen. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:09 pm
    • Poor shooting display in Game 1
Russell amassed 13 points (6-20 FG, 1-9 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and two steals across 41 minutes during Saturday's 114-103 loss to Denver in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: The Lakers needed Russell to be at his best as a scoring threat, so his 6-for-20 outing from the field wasn't a pleasant sight for a Lakers team that cooled off as the game progressed. Russell ended with more field-goal attempts than points scored, and he needs to bounce back ahead of Game 2 on Monday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:51 pm
