    • Josh Smith clears waivers on Wednesday
Josh Smith cleared waivers on Wednesday at 5 pm EST.

Advice: Obviously no team was going to claim Smith and help out the Pistons for their awful contract. He is going to sign with the Rockets for the bi-annual exception at $2.077 million. Interestingly, 25.8 percent of Smith's field goal attempts are long two-pointers of at least 16 feet. On the other hand, only 6.8 percent of the Rockets field goal attempts are long twos. Smith was just the 188th best player in standard leagues and is dead last in true shooting percentage among players with at least 26 minutes per game. Fantasy owners will probably not want to set their hopes too high for any Rockets power forward. Rotoworld.com

    • Kawhi Leonard listed as out for Christmas
Kawhi Leonard (hand) has been listed as out for Thursday's game against the Thunder.

Advice: There was some optimism that he would play on Christmas, but it doesn't look like it. Leonard's damage to his hand doesn't sound too serious and hopefully he can make it back on the court at some point in 2014. Kyle Anderson will start, but Manu Ginobili, Boris Diaw and Marco Belinelli are benefiting the most. Rotoworld.com

    • Jannero Pargo (back) out on Friday
Jannero Pargo (back) will not play on Friday.

Advice: He has low back soreness and the injury is not considered serious. Pargo doesn't get minutes anyway, so he's not worth owning in any league. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson (hip) ruled out for Friday
Lance Stephenson (hip) will not play against the Thunder on Friday.

Advice: He is not close to a return and coach Steve Clifford isn't exactly Lance's biggest fan. He is one of the least efficient players in the NBA and his defense has fallen off, too. Stephenson isn't necessarily a must-own player anymore. Gary Neal, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Gerald Henderson will benefit. Rotoworld.com

Clint Capela has been called up from the D-League on Wednesday.

Amare Stoudemire will play on Christmas vs. the Wizards.

Advice: He has missed the past two games in order to rest but he is all set to play in an exciting matchup with the Wizards. It will be interesting to see if the Knicks opt to bring him off of the bench or start him, but we will pass along any updates as soon as we know more. Rotoworld.com

Chris Bosh (calf) is doubtful to play on Christmas vs. the Cavaliers.

Advice: He was initially targeting this game for his return so it is a little disappointing to hear this news one day before tip-off. Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire will play on Christmas vs. the Wizards.

    • Donatas Motiejunas likely headed to bench
Donatas Motiejunas will likely return to a bench role once Josh Smith signs with Houston Wednesday evening.

Advice: It really is a shame considering how well Motiejunas had done after filling in for Terrence Jones (leg) in the starting lineup, but it looks like his time for fantasy relevancy in standard leagues is coming to an end. Owners may want to give it a few games before making a decision, but we won't blame you if you decide to move on. Rotoworld.com

    • Josh Smith has committed to Houston Rockets
Josh Smith has committed to play for the Houston Rockets after he clears waivers at 5:00 pm EST.

Advice: Given his outstanding relationship with Dwight Howard and Houston's promise to put him in the starting lineup, this move was expected. It's a little interesting that the Rockets were so intrigued with Smith given how inefficient he is, but maybe he can turn things around and provide a boost to their playoff aspirations. Terrence Jones and Donatas Motiejunas' value takes a huge hit with this news, but owners should use a wait-and-see approach to see how things pan out. Rotoworld.com

J.R. Smith (heel) said that he is unlikely to play on Christmas vs. the Wizards.

    • Tristan Thompson likely starter for Cleveland
Tristan Thompson will likely step into the starting lineup after it was learned that Anderson Varejao has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a torn Achilles tendon.

Advice: Thompson is a capable big who can rebound and score, but he isn't the most efficient player on offense and doesn't register a lot of defensive stats with season averages of 0.9 blocks and 0.4 steals per game. However, he should be in line for a big boost in playing time and should be worth owning in all leagues moving forward. Varejao can be cut across the board. Rotoworld.com

    • Houston to promise Josh Smith a starting spot
The Houston Rockets are assuring Josh Smith that he would be a starter if he signed on with them according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Advice: Houston has emerged as the most likely destination for Smith, and this latest report would only solidify that. We will watch this situation very closely, as he is expected to clear waivers at 5:00 pm EST. His arrival would put a huge dent in the value of Donatas Motiejunas and Terrence Jones, so owners will want to stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Kawhi Leonard (hand) hopes to play Thursday
Kawhi Leonard (hand) has reportedly told some of his closest associates that he thinks he will be able to play on Christmas vs. the Thunder.

Advice: Coach Gregg Popovich recently said that he doesn't expect to have him in the lineup anytime soon, so this report should be taken with a grain of salt. The Spurs have always been cautious with their players, so it is still unlikely that we will see him take the floor. Owners will want to check back before tip-off just in case, but if Leonard sits out for the fifth game in a row then it will be up to Kyle Anderson and Danny Green to fill the void. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson linked to Denver Nuggets
Lance Stephenson is rumored to be coveted by the Denver Nuggets, but he still hopes to stay in Charlotte and make things right.

Advice: Denver Coach Brian Shaw had a strong relationship with Stephenson when they were together in Indiana, so we could definitely see this report gaining some traction. However, the Hornets fear that they won't get enough in return for him at the moment, and there is no indication that a deal is in the works right now. Owners can only hope that Stephenson gets traded, as his fantasy value has plummeted in Charlotte. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Jeff Green struggling since Rajon Rondo trade
Jeff Green is struggling for the Celtics since the trade of Rajon Rondo to the Mavericks, and is averaging 11.8 points on 38.7 percent shooting from the floor in his last three games.

Advice: He is clearly the biggest loser in the Rondo trade, and can't seem to get anything going on offense. To put these numbers in perspective, before the trade he was averaging 19.5 points per game on 44.7 percent shooting. However, Green's name has been consistently tossed around in trade rumors so owners should see how things play out in the near future before doing anything drastic. Rotoworld.com

Jabari Parker gave himself a "C" for his performance in his rookie season.

Advice: "I don’t think that I did too well," Parker said. "I have the future to make up for it." While he is being a little too hard on himself, he should be able to come back even stronger next season and he is expected to make a full recovery. He finished his season with averages of 12.3 points, 5.5 boards, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 30 minutes per game. Jordan Hill had a season-high four blocks in Tuesday's game vs. the Warriors, adding four points, six boards and one assist in just 18 minutes.

Advice: Owners shouldn't panic too much about the minutes, as the Lakers opted to play a little smaller to match up with the Warriors. Hill is still a double-double threat whenever he gets the minutes and we'll give him a pass for this performance. Rotoworld.com

    • Wayne Ellington starts for Kobe Bryant (rest)
Wayne Ellington filled in at SG for Kobe Bryant (rest) on Tuesday, scoring 12 points with two 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 25 minutes of action.

Advice: Much will be made of the Lakers' success without Kobe dominating the offense, but the Black Mamba will only relinquish control during the handful of games he sits out for rest. Ellington is only worth a look as a deep-league source of scoring and 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com

    • Ronnie Price scores season-high 17 points
Ronnie Price scored a season-high 17 points on Tuesday vs. the Warriors, adding eight assists, four boards, three steals and three 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: It was easily his best game of the season and this should help him fend off Jeremy Lin and Jordan Clarkson for the time being. However, the Lakers have no reason to develop the 31-year-old veteran so it would not be surprising to see him replaced in the starting lineup down the stretch. Price should not be owned in standard leagues unless he does the impossible and strings together a few more games like this. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young scores 15 points w/ rare full line
Nick Young contributed across the board in Tuesday's upset win vs. Golden State, coming off the bench for 15 points, two 3-pointers, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

Advice: He logged 30 minutes for the second straight game and should thrive whenever Kobe Bryant (rest) isn't in the Lakers' lineup, though he's been good enough to start under any circumstances. He has a total of 11 assists and 11 steals in 17 games this season, while shooting 41.5 percent from the field, so don't expect more than voluminous points (15.6) and 3-pointers (2.4). Rotoworld.com

    • Andre Iguodala vanishes in season-low 15 min
Andre Iguodala played a season-low 15 minutes on Tuesday, scoring three points without any rebounds, assists, steals or blocks.

Advice: He also turned the ball over three times during his limited playing time, and this is an ominous development as his reduced minutes coincided with David Lee's return to a prominent role in coach Steve Kerr's rotation. Iguodala had picked up the pace over the past three games, chipping in enough 3-pointers, assists and steals to hold standard-league value, but he's best left on the waiver wire in most leagues. • DeMarre Carroll scores season-high 25 points
DeMarre Carroll set a new season-high with 25 points on Tuesday, going 5-of-6 beyond the arc while adding 10 rebounds, one steal and zero turnovers in a rousing home win vs. the Clippers.

Advice: The 28-year-old SF set a season-high for 3-pointers while recording his second double-double of the season. He's now scored double-digit points in four consecutive games, averaging 3.0 triples during that span. Carroll doesn't get much hype in fantasy leagues, but he's returning top-80 value and there's no reason to think he can't sustain it all season. Rotoworld.com

    • Jeff Teague (hamstring) returns in bench role
Jeff Teague (hamstring) came off the Hawks' bench on Tuesday and finished with nine points, one 3-pointer, two rebounds and six assists in 24 minutes, while posting a team-best +/- rating of +23.

Advice: Dennis Schroder earned another start at PG, but he had only five points, four assists, four turnovers and a team-worst +/- rating of -18. Teague could regain the starting job as soon as Friday (vs. Milwaukee) or Saturday (at Milwaukee), and it shouldn't take long for his minutes to return to the 30-32 range he's been averaging all season. • Blake Griffin dishes season-high 11 assists
Blake Griffin dished out a season-high 11 assists vs. the Hawks on Tuesday, while scoring 21 points with eight rebounds, one steal and one block.

Advice: He shot 9-of-17 from the field and 3-of-4 from the FT line with only two turnovers in 36 minutes, but Blake's terrific game wasn't enough to avoid L.A.'s third loss in four games. Their bench production begins and ends with Jamal Crawford, which is the root of the problem, but Griffin's fantasy owners won't complain as he racks up top-30 value with FT percentage and turnovers excluded. • Matt Barnes awful in Clips road loss to Hawks
Matt Barnes struggled in Tuesday's road loss, scoring six points on 1-of-6 shooting with one 3-pointer, two rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Advice: He played only 21 minutes and has been lousy over L.A.'s past three games, averaging 3.3 points on 23.1 percent shooting, 0.3 triples, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.0 blocks. That three-game slump comes on the heels of a productive stretch during which he managed mid-round value. Rotoworld.com

    • Markieff Morris scores just nine points Tues
Markieff Morris scored just nine points on Tuesday vs. Dallas, adding four boards, four assists, four steals and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.

Advice: Apart from the four steals, this line was rather disappointing as the Suns decided to go small for most of the game. Morris should be much better against the Kings on Friday, and his owners can expect him to have occasional bumps in the road like this one. That being said, he still belongs in all lineups. • Eric Bledsoe triple-doubles in win vs. Dallas
Eric Bledsoe notched his second triple-double of the season in a win over Dallas on Tuesday, finishing with 16 points, 11 assists, 10 boards, three steals and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

Advice: He did shoot just 6-of-19 from the field and turned the ball over three times, but his owners have to be thrilled with this line. Bledsoe's rebounding has really improved over his last three games, and he has been able to snag 29 boards over that span. He will look to continue his torrid pace against the Kings on Friday. • Dwyane Wade (knee) scores 23 points in return
Dwyane Wade (knee) returned to action on Tuesday with 23 points, five rebounds, six assists and three turnovers in 34 minutes vs. the visiting Sixers.

Advice: "I got some of the swelling out of [the knee] and got some good rest. I’m ready to go," Wade said before the game. He shot 9-of-21 from the field and 5-of-7 from the FT line, and didn't seem bothered by the injury, so owners should expect to have him available for Wednesday's matchup with the Cavaliers. • Wayne Ellington to draw the start on Tuesday
Wayne Ellington will draw the start in place of Kobe Bryant (rest) on Tuesday.

Advice: Ellington is a solid 3-point shooter, but he struggles to contribute in other areas of the box score. Instead, Nick Young is the biggest beneficiary here and should be able to take as many 3-pointers as his heart desires. Get Swaggy P in all lineups and enjoy the show. Rotoworld.com

    • Amare Stoudemire probable for Christmas
Amare Stoudemire is probable to play on Christmas day vs. the Wizards.

Advice: There is nothing wrong with him, and the Knicks simply opted to rest him the past two games. Owners will have to deal with random DNPs for the rest of the season due to the Knicks' plummeting record, but Stoudemire is still a decent plug-and-play option every time he is active. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson (pelvic sprain) out Tuesday
Lance Stephenson (pelvic sprain) will miss another game on Tuesday.

Advice: The trade talk surrounding Stephenson has quieted down in recent days, and his value around the league continues to sink due to reports that he's already antagonizing Hornets' teammates off the court. This is his fourth straight DNP and he could return on Dec. 26, until which time there will be more opportunities for Gerald Henderson, Gary Neal and P.J. Hairston. Rotoworld.com

    • Jeff Teague will come off the bench Tuesday
Jeff Teague (hamstring) will come off the bench for Tuesday's game vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Dennis Schroder has been excellent filling in for Teague while he was sidelined, and it looks like the Hawks are going to ease Teague back into the rotation. Still, given Teague's upside, he's pretty much a must-start guy when in uniform. We'll let you know if any word comes out of a minutes restriction. Rotoworld.com

Dwyane Wade (knee) will play Tuesday vs. the 76ers.

Advice: With Chris Bosh (calf) still out, Wade is going to be the main man on offense, and makes for an excellent plug-and-play option going up against a horrid 76ers squad. His return to the lineup will hurt the value of Mario Chalmers. Rotoworld.com

Dwight Howard said he's already had some discussions with Josh Smith, and he would love to see his old friend in Houston.

Advice: Houston is very confident they will be able to land Smith, and if he does end up in a Rockets uniform, he's really going to hurt the value of Donatas Motiejunas and Terrence Jones (leg). Advice: He missed the last week and the Hawks did not miss him whatsoever, winning all three games against teams expected to make the playoffs in the Mavericks, Rockets and Cavs. It's unknown if Teague will play less than his 31.3 minutes per game, but it's not a wild idea considering how well Dennis Schroder played. Matt Barnes scored just four points against the Spurs on Monday during a 125-118 loss with four rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Advice: He's not going to light up the scoring column, so nights like this are going to happen. If there's a player you don't think will last on the wire for long, it's not a bad idea to drop Barnes due to his inconsistent ways. Rotoworld.com

Blake Griffin scored 22 points against the Spurs on Monday with 22 points, six boards, six assists, one steal, one block and four turnovers in 38 minutes.

Advice: He's hoisting a ton of shots lately with at least 20 in three of his last four games. Griffin blocked his 10th shot of the season tonight, which has probably passed his foul shooting woes for the biggest knock on his fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

    • Jeff Teague (hamstring) ruled out for Monday
Jeff Teague (hamstring) will not play on Monday night against the Mavericks.

Advice: He is without a timetable and could miss additional games. Teague was outstanding before his injury and was close to being a No. 1 fantasy point guard, but the Hawks are just fine with Dennis Schroder and Shelvin Mack. Schroder is worth a look in daily leagues in a favorable matchup. Rotoworld.com

    • Kawhi Leonard (hand) expected to miss time
Kawhi Leonard (hand) is not expected to return to the lineup anytime soon, according to coach Gregg Popovich.

Advice: He had another injection on his hand, may need offseason surgery, and his doctor said he hasn't seen an injury like this before. The Spurs do not play their guys at less than 100 percent and they're going to allow Leonard to heal. His fantasy owners have no choice but to bench him and hope he'll make it back in early 2015. • Rockets still in the lead to sign Josh Smith
Josh Smith has been linked to the Heat in addition to the Kings, Clippers and Mavericks, but the Rockets remain the apparent frontrunner to sign him once he clears waivers.

Advice: Miami has a clear need at PF with Josh McRoberts (knee) likely done for the season, and the Heat seem like a better fit than the Rockets, but Smith may be lured to Houston by the prospect of playing alongside Dwight Howard in the postseason. If he instead decides to sign with the Mavericks, beat writer Tim MacMahon reports that he'd fill Brandan Wright's former bench role -- Wright averaged under 19 minutes per game, so Dallas would be a poor fantasy destination for Smoove. • Houston leading the way for Josh Smith
The Houston Rockets have emerged as the frontrunner for Josh Smith, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Advice: From an offensive standpoint, this makes zero sense. Smith gave himself the nickname Mid Range Shawty a couple years ago and the Rockets take less mid-range shots than any team. He reportedly was "fixated" on joining the Rockets, who have two improving power forwards in Donatas Motiejunas and Terrence Jones (leg). Owners in standard leagues might have an excuse to cut him now because he was just the No. 182nd player in those formats before today. Rotoworld.com

Carmelo Anthony admitted that his knee is still bothering him.

I never know what’s going to happen. If I sit it out, will [the knee] get better? Jeff Teague (hamstring) is doubtful to play on Monday against the Mavericks, and there is no timetable for his return.

Advice: Teague hasn't been able to suit up since last week, and it doesn't appear he's getting close yet. Dennis Schroder will draw another start in Teague's place, and he's averaging 9.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 8.0 assists and 2.5 turnovers in a tiny two-game sample size. Rotoworld.com

Advice: It's a stunning move from the Pistons, and an admission that the free-agent signing never made sense to begin with when the move was made. Still owed $27 million after this season, Detroit will use the stretch provision to remove Smith from the roster. When Stan Van Gundy said the Pistons were going to prioritize the future, he wasn't kidding. Fisher then attempted to clarify with the following: "I think it's day-to-day. From the beginning, it may not have been day-to-day. It was probably going to be a few weeks or so." It's not clear when Smith might actually return yet, and Tim Hardaway, Jr. will continue seeing increased minutes with Iman Shumpert (shoulder) also out. Rotoworld.com

Jordan Hill nearly double-doubled vs. the Kings on Sunday, finishing with eight points, nine boards and one assist in 33 minutes.

Advice: He recently recovered from an illness and was tasked with containing DeMarcus Cousins during Sunday's game, so he'll be better than this on most nights. Hill remains a must-own player moving forward, and he'll be a nightly double-double threat as long as he continues to see more than 30 minutes per game. Rotoworld.com

Nick Young hit four 3-pointers in Sunday's loss to the Kings, which he finished with 26 points, five boards, one assist and two steals in 30 minutes.

Advice: He was in danger of missing this game after his altercation with Steven Adams on Friday, so his owners have to be thrilled with this result. Swaggy P has been phenomenal all season, and with rumors going around that Kobe Bryant may be rested, Young's value is only going to get higher as the season progresses. Rotoworld.com

Josh Smith posted 13 points, five rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocks in just 28 minutes on Sunday, but he also shot 5-of-16 from the field and 3-of-6 from the FT line.

Advice: If percentages count in your league, you should have come to terms with Smoove's fantasy deficiencies long ago. For everyone else his across-the-board production and defensive stats are fantasy gold, and he's seemingly in no danger of losing his starting job to backup big man Greg Monroe. Rotoworld.com

Dwyane Wade (knee) will be re-evaluated on Monday to determine his status for Tuesday's game against the 76ers.

Advice: He sat out on Sunday to get some additional rest, but the good news is that he is dealing with a just a bruise to his knee. We will update his status on Monday, but expect Norris Cole and Mario Chalmers to pick up the slack if Wade sits on Tuesday. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

Markieff Morris scored 17 points in a win over the Wizards on Sunday, but added just two boards, one assist and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes.

Advice: Apart from his scoring, this was quite a disappointing line from him considering he played 36 minutes. Morris has still been producing early-round value in standard leagues, but owners can expect a few bumps in the road along the way. Keep him active in all lineups. Rotoworld.com

Eric Bledsoe led the Suns to a win over the Wizards on Sunday, finishing with 17 points, nine boards, three assists, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.

Advice: He had 25 points with 10 rebounds on Saturday, so hopefully he can keep rebounding and scoring at a high rate. Bledsoe probably won't see more than 30 minutes most nights as long as Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas are healthy, but Bledsoe should continue to be an elite asset moving forward. Rotoworld.com

Carmelo Anthony played 37 minutes during Sunday's loss, scoring 28 points on 12-of-26 shooting to go with five rebounds, three assists, one 3-pointer, one steal, and two turnovers.

Advice: The minutes suggest that Melo's knee is healthy, but with the Knicks owning a record of 5-24, there's always going to be talk of him shutting things down. Carmelo remains an elite option while he's in uniform, but owners may want to seriously consider selling high. Rotoworld.com

Chris Bosh said that he's hopeful to suit up for Miami's Christmas day game vs. the Cavs, but he also said that worst-case he'll be out another month.

Advice: "It’s a possibility, I think," Bosh said of playing this week. "That’s me being a glass-half-full kind of guy. It’s a work in progress, man." Bosh is being pretty vague with his quotes, so all owners can do is hope that he's ready to go soon. He has made significant progress the past few days, but he still needs to work on his conditioning, as he still hasn't been able to run. Advice: Leonard was reportedly targeting Monday for his return, so the early cancellation of the plan isn't a great sign for his fantasy owners. Advice: This will be the first game that Wade misses this season due to a knee injury, but he does have a history with knee injuries, so we'll be watching this situation closely. Over the past two weeks, Hardaway Jr. is averaging 15.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.8 three-pointers per game over 29 minutes of action and he has almost zero competition for minutes. Advice: "These past three days, I was able to just kind of get my body right and stay off of the leg a little bit," Anthony said. "I felt pretty good out there. My knee felt good." Anthony had a great game on Saturday, scoring 25 points and pulling down 11 boards, and it doesn't appear that his status is in jeopardy for Sunday's game vs. the Raptors. According to league sources, Lance Stephenson is clashing with his teammates in the locker room, but coach Steve Clifford is hopeful that Charlotte's veterans will help Stephenson become more of a team player.

Advice: This isn't surprising by any means, as Stephenson has been a major disappointment so far in Charlotte. However, it appears that the Hornets are no longer aggressively shopping him, as they feel like his value is too low to deal him right now. Blake Griffin handed out eight assists against the Bucks during a 106-102 win on Saturday, scoring 24 points with six rebounds and one steal.

Advice: The assists have been the story lately with 6.4 per game over his last five to go with averages of 23.0 points, 9.4 boards and 1.4 steals. Advice: He carved up the Knicks and they didn't have anyone to cover him. Bledsoe has not been affected by the return of Isaiah Thomas, averaging 15.8 points, 4.8 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.6 blocks and 0.8 triples. He can be viewed as a top-10 fantasy shooting guard. Rotoworld.com

Advice: It was a solid game from Anthony and he didn't appear to be hindered by knee soreness. Advice: Barnes has been a solid mid-round value lately and he should remain in all lineups. J.J. Redick scored just eight points with one trey, two boards and two assists, but he has been serviceable lately and owners might want to give him at least one night of slack. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Smith has been a train wreck this season, and given his obvious struggles with grasping the triangle offense, he shouldn't be viewed as a stash candidate in standard leagues. If he's unable to go Saturday, Tim Hardaway Jr. will get all the minutes he can handle, and he'd make for a quality option in daily leagues. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: Stephenson no longer on trading block
The Hornets have reportedly pulled Lance Stephenson off the trading block as none of the offers they received were enticing enough to pull the trigger on a deal.

Advice: The Hornets believe that Stephenson's groin injury has hindered him all season, and is the main culprit to his lack of production thus far. Charlotte feels that the injury affected Stephenson's movement and conditioning, and they would like to see him at full strength before sending him away for pennies on the dollar. While Stephenson may get traded away at some point this season, it is not likely to happen any time soon. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwyane Wade says he's over stomach virus
Dwyane Wade said that he's completely over his stomach virus.

Advice: The virus really didn't limit him too much at all, as he went off for a season-high 42 points during his last outing. Wade is going to be asked to carry Miami's offense while Chris Bosh (calf) is sidelined, and he remains an excellent option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Bosh (calf) out Friday vs. Washington
Chris Bosh (calf) will not play Friday vs. the Wizards, and remains without a timetable to return.

Advice: Miami went with a starting frontcourt of Justin Hamilton and Chris Andersen during their last game with both Bosh and Josh McRoberts (knee) sidelined, but neither guy made a major impact on the boxscore. Andersen can be viewed as a shot-blocking specialist in deeper leagues, while Hamilton hasn't really been worth using. • Lance Stephenson (hip) will not play Friday
Lance Stephenson (hip) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the 76ers, and he's being listed as doubtful for Saturday's game vs. the Jazz.

Advice: This is just a reminder to get Stephenson out of your lineups. • Donatas Motiejiunas finally has a bad game
Donatas Motiejunas had an overdue dud on Thursday against the Pelicans with nine points, four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes.

Advice: He got a front-row seat to watch Anthony Davis destroy him and he gets a pass here. Motiejunas made an impressive 56.7 percent from the field in his previous 10 for 16.6 points per game, so expect him to turn it around on Saturday against the Hawks. Rotoworld.com

Amare Stoudemire made a surprise start on Thursday with 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and four blocks in 31 minutes against the Bulls during a 103-97 loss.

Advice: He was expected to rest tonight, but the Knicks needed him to play because of their lack of scoring depth. The Knicks have a back-to-back set starting on Saturday, so his fantasy owners can expect him to sit in one of those games. Advice: He did not travel due to his pelvic sprain and is expected to miss at least another game. Amare Stoudemire will start Thursday as the Knicks take on the Bulls.

Advice: Stoudemire will draw a difficult matchup tonight against the Bulls, but with J.R. Smith (foot) and Carmelo Anthony (knee) not playing, he's going to be given a lot of responsibility on the offensive end. He remains a risky play in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

Advice: There is talk of people advising him to sit out for a few weeks, so Anthony could miss time despite how he said he wants to play. With Anthony out, the Knicks are going to have to come up with some creative ways to score the ball. Tim Hardaway Jr. is probably their best bet based on how he carried the Knicks at summer league. • Report: Teams trying to land Jeff Green
The Clippers, Pelicans, and Grizzlies are reportedly interested in landing Jeff Green, but the Celtics so far have not liked their offers.

Advice: Jeff Green is in a nice situation with the Celtics as one of the primary options on offense, but his value would take a significant hit if he landed with one of the aforementioned teams. However, nothing appears to be imminent, so this is just something to monitor for now. Owners of Green may want to consider floating out some sell-high offers. Rotoworld.com

Jabari Parker reportedly suffered a "slight" ACL tear, and he won't have surgery for at least a week as they're waiting for the swelling in his knee to subside.

Advice: Parker remains out for the season, and we wish him a speedy recovery. The Bucks have been bit by the injury bug hard this season with Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle), Ersan Ilyasova (nose), and John Henson (foot) all on the injury report, but those are the guys that will be asked to pick up the slack with Parker sidelined. • Carmelo Anthony being told to shut it down?
Carmelo Anthony stated during Thursday morning's shootaround that he's had multiple people tell him he should consider sitting out for an extended period of time.

Advice: "I've had multiple people say kind of just shut it down or just take time off," said Anthony. "At the end of the day it's hard for me to just do that right now with what's happening with the team. So I'm just trying to be smart about it." The Knicks currently own a record of 5-22, and each loss gives Carmelo another reason to shut it down instead of risk further injury. Tim Hardaway Jr. is looking more and more like a must-own player. Markieff Morris said his ejection during Wednesday's win over the Hornets stemmed from his emotions getting the best of him.

Advice: Of his ejection that occurred in the second half after two technical fouls that were two minutes and 33 seconds apart, Morris said, "I let my emotions get the best of me, which wasn't right." Morris shouldn't face suspension for his ejection and was still able to score 13 points with eight rebounds and one 3-pointer, so there will be better days to come for his fantasy owners. Donatas Motiejunas was fantastic against the Nuggets on Wednesday with 18 points, six rebounds, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

Advice: Terrence Jones (leg) is at least getting some shots up at practice, so he's at least on his way back. There is still no timetable for his return, so Motiejunas is good to go as a must-start guy right now. Keep him roster and cross the TJ bridge when you get to it. Rotoworld.com

Blake Griffin hit 11-of-27 shots for 31 points, 16 rebounds, five assists and a steal in Wednesday's win.

Advice: His field goal percentage wasn't good, but he did hit 9-of-13 free throws and had a big line. His free throw shooting has greatly improved, and his fantasy value as followed as a result. Congratulations if you drafted him this year. Rotoworld.com

Dwyane Wade hit 12-of-19 shots for a season-high 42 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's loss to the Jazz.

Advice: The bad news is he hit just 16-of-21 free throws and committed six turnovers, but the fact he played so well in a pair of back-to-backs (while battling an illness tonight) speaks volumes. The Heat are off until Friday, so hopefully Wade is able to get some rest and will be ready to go. He had 28 on Tuesday against the Nets. Rotoworld.com

Josh Smith played just had seven points, two rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block on Wednesday, but also had four fouls and played just 19 minutes in the loss to Dallas.

Advice: Jonas Jerebko played just 13 minutes, but hit 5-of-5 shots, 1-of-1 3-pointers and 2-of-2 free throws to finish with 13 points and two rebounds. Stan Van Gundy said after the game he stuck with the hot Jerebko and left Smith on the bench. • Jeff Teague ruled out on Wednesday night
Jeff Teague (hamstring) will not play on Wednesday night against the Cavs.

Advice: He could miss additional time with the Hawks in the playoff hunt and all the hamstring aggravations this season. • Celtics willing to deal Jeff Green?
The Celtics have been trying to include Jeff Green in part of a trade of Rajon Rondo.

Advice: The Celtics will do anything for a high draft pick. Green has played well and has made 48.0 percent from the field in his last 10, averaging 21.3 points per game in that span. He would likely lose a lot of fantasy value in a trade. Evan Turner would pick up value upon Green's departure, but his low upside makes him a questionable stash. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Hill (illness) misses practice on Wed
Jordan Hill (illness) did not practice on Wednesday.

Advice: The Lakers are off until Friday, so Hill should be ready to go. He's been able to stay healthy this season despite the massive increase to 30.1 minutes per game. If for some reason he's not ready to play, the Lakers will have to come up with a patchwork group of Robert Sacre, Ed Davis and Carlos Boozer to help out. Rotoworld.com

    • Kings are still interested in Josh Smith
The Kings are still interested in acquiring Josh Smith from the Pistons.

Advice: This rumor popped up over the summer and it was only a matter of time before it picked up steam considering how poorly the Pistons have played. Smith is playing a little better these days, so the Pistons should justifiably be asking for a fair amount. He would likely lose a touch of value with a trade, especially to Sacramento with Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins there. Rotoworld.com

    • Budenholzer will monitor Jeff Teague
Coach Mike Budenholzer said on Wednesday that the Hawks will "monitor [Jeff Teague] (hamstring, doubtful) over the next day or so and hope for the best."

Advice: It sounds like he's out for tonight against the Cavs, but the Hawks are off until Saturday following tonight. Dennis Schroder is the favorite to pick up value, and his usage rate of 25.5 to go with a 32.4 assist percentage while he's out there bode very well for his outlook tonight. Shelvin Mack will also see a boost. Rotoworld.com

J.R. Smith (foot) will not play in Thursday's game vs. the Bulls.

Advice: It will be his fifth straight game out of the lineup and it is becoming pretty evident that this injury has become a real issue for him. Parker will finish his rookie season with averages of 12.3 points, 5.5 boards, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 30 minutes per game. Outside of keeper leagues, Parker can be cut across the board while Giannis Antetokounmpo will see an increase in his minutes and should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com

The Bucks don't return to Milwaukee until Dec. 23, so Jabari could be sidelined for the rest of the week. • J. Kidd heaps praise all over Jabari Parker
Jason Kidd praised Jabari Parker's performance after battling Blake Griffin in Saturday's win over the Clippers.

Advice: "I don't judge on first or second (halves)," Kidd said. "I just look at the complete game and I thought he did a great job against one of the top players in the world in Blake (Griffin)." Griffin had just 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting in 39 minutes, while Parker had 12 points and five rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting. Parker didn't score in the second half, but Kidd was pleased with the rookie's performance. Expect some inconsistencies to continue, but Parker is trending in the right direction. Rotoworld.com
