  • Joakim Noah calls Mirotic a difference-maker
Joakim Noah said Nikola Mirotic is a "difference-maker at the offensive end."

Advice: Mirotic balled out on Friday without Taj Gibson (ankle) and Pau Gasol (calf) available with 24 points, 11 rebounds and four 3-pointers, but he's going to need injuries ahead of him to produce like that regularly. He has an offensive game that's very capable of helping fantasy teams, but he's limited by his current role. Rotoworld.com

  • Jeff Green doesn't want trade from Celtics
Jeff Green doesn't want to be traded by the Celtics.

Advice: A report emerged from CSNNE that Green's trade value was as strong (if not stronger) than Rajon Rondo's, and through a couple of miscommunications, Green interpreted that someone had authored a column on his desire to be traded. Although he's frustrated by the losing, Green is not interested in being dealt. "Before you start, I just wanted to clear the air about some BS rumor that came out," Green said. "I said that I was frustrated with losing, not frustrated with the team," he added. Green also said he hasn't been "happy like this in years." Rotoworld.com

  • Andrei Kirilenko could be traded away by Nets
Andrei Kirilenko is likely to be traded, and a few teams have emerged with some interest.

Advice: Philadelphia (of course) is said to be interested if it nets them an extra asset or two in the form of picks, while Cleveland is monitoring Kirilenko and the Jazz may have some interest in a reunion. In the Utah scenario, Kirilenko would be dealt after December 15 for Toure Murry and Jeremy Evans. Regardless of where he's ultimately sent, Kirilenko's days as an impact player are over. • Kyle Anderson assigned to Spurs' D-League
Spurs assigned F Kyle Anderson to the D-League.

Advice: Anderson was assigned so he could play on Sunday against Santa Cruz, and it's likely he returns to the Spurs before you noticed he was gone. Rotoworld.com

  • Arron Afflalo shoots 5-of-17 in win vs Lakers
Arron Afflalo logged 42 minutes on Sunday but made only 5-of-17 shots to finish with 15 points, six rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Advice: He made one 3-pointer and hit 4-of-4 free throws down the stretch, which helped take the sting out of his lousy shooting performance. As usual, Afflalo is a solid source of points (17.6) and triples (2.4), while failing to contribute many rebounds (3.4), assists (1.8), steals (0.4) or blocks (0.2). Despite the gaps in his fantasy game, he's returning top-120 value while playing heavy minutes in the Nuggets' chaotic rotation. Rotoworld.com

  • Wes Johnson has 12 boards w/ extras vs. DEN
Wesley Johnson came alive late in Sunday's game, finishing with seven points, a season-high 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks in 42 minutes of action.

Advice: Johnson didn't make any 3-pointers, which is a mild disappointment, but he posterized Danilo Gallinari on a late dunk and his rebound total was more than double his previous season-high. The bad news is that Johnson hasn't cracked double-digit points or made a single 3-pointer in six games -- until he gets going offensively, he's only worth owning in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Danilo Gallinari logs season-high 31 minutes
Danilo Gallinari played a season-high 31 minutes in Sunday's overtime win, finishing with 10 points, two 3-pointers, seven boards and one assist.

Advice: He made a crucial 3-pointer with 1:28 remaining in OT and it's very encouraging to see him log so many minutes on his surgically-repaired knee. He may not overtake Wilson Chandler for the starting SF job, and he's shooting just 30.9 percent on the season, so owners should think twice before adding him in typical 12-team leagues. • Draymond Green fills it up Sunday vs. OKC
Draymond Green made only 3-of-11 shots for 10 points on Sunday, but he added one 3-pointer, nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and two blocks with only one turnover in 40 minutes.

Advice: Green can fill up a boxscore in so many ways that the occasional scoring dud shouldn't faze his fantasy owners. David Lee (hamstring) is targeting a return on Friday or Saturday, but Green may very well hold him off for the starting PF job -- if not, he'll have a big enough role off the bench to remain a must-own player in all formats. • Harrison Barnes scoreless in tough road win
Harrison Barnes was held scoreless for the first time all season in Sunday's win vs. the Thunder, missing all five of his shots while adding eight rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Advice: Barnes was in some foul trouble, which didn't help his cause, and the Thunder have been surprisingly stingy vs. opposing SFs all season. We're not reading too much into this dud, in other words, as Barnes was coming off a six-game streak of double-digit scoring. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 7:10 pm
  • Anthony Morrow ties career-high w/ 12 boards
Anthony Morrow was OKC's best bench player on Sunday, contributing 16 points and a career-high-tying 12 rebounds in a narrow loss to the visiting Warriors.

Advice: Morrow played 33 minutes and he's worth fantasy owners' attention until Kevin Durant returns to action. He's scored double-digit points in six of the past eight games, he's a deadly 3-point shooter, and he's recorded at least one steal in six straight games. Just be ready to cut him loose if the return of Durant and Perry Jones slashes into his playing time. Rotoworld.com

  • Tony Allen (illness) plays well as starter
Tony Allen (illness) returned to the Grizzlies starting lineup and had 12 points, five rebounds, one assist and one block in Sunday's 16-point win vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Allen is only 6'4" but his toughness and cerebral defense allow him to start at SF with Courtney Lee spreading the court at SG. This was his third double-digit scoring game of the season and he's shooting an abysmal 46.2 percent at the FT, while adding just 1.3 assists per game, so there are too many flaws in his game for reliable 10-team value. Rotoworld.com

  • Quincy Pondexter (illness) back in action Sun
Quincy Pondexter (illness) returned to action on Sunday, scoring 11 points with one 3-pointer and two rebounds in 21 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Q-Pon's minutes briefly surged with five Grizzlies ailing last week, but he's irrelevant in standard-sized fantasy leagues now that they're back at full strength. He and Vince Carter (two points in nine minutes) tend to trade off decent games, which makes them both unsavory fantasy options. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 6:20 pm
  • Tayshaun Prince vanishes w/ DNP-CD Sunday
Tayshaun Prince vanished vs. the Clippers on Sunday, and he was the only player on the Grizzlies' active roster to pick up a DNP-CD.

Advice: Prince is a terrible fantasy option whether he's coming off the bench or starting at SF, as he did in the Grizzlies' previous game. He's not contributing in ways that aren't reflected in the boxscore, either, as his PER of 8.9 will attest. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 6:19 pm
  • Matt Barnes (calf) plays well in 19 minutes
Matt Barnes (sore left calf) looked fine in 19 minutes of action vs. the Grizzlies, contributing nine points on 4-of-6 shooting, one 3-pointer and two rebounds in the Clippers' road loss.

Advice: Barnes has reclaimed the starting SF job and is at least worth monitoring in all formats for his under-the-radar contributions -- in the past five games he's averaging 10.0 points on 47.2 percent shooting, with 1.8 threes, 2.2 rebounds and 0.4 steals. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 6:18 pm
  • Marvin Williams FT-less streak at 354 minutes
Marvin Williams didn't attempt a free throw vs. the Heat on Sunday, extending his FT-less streak to an astounding 354 minutes.

Advice: He's one of four players in NBA history to begin a season with 300+ minutes without any free throw attempts, and there's no telling when the streak will end. He finished Sunday's game with seven points, one 3-pointer, two rebounds and one assist, and he's only worth considering if you're desperate for 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 5:48 pm
  • Lance Stephenson fills it up in tough defeat
Lance Stephenson made 7-of-14 shots in Sunday's heartbreaking loss in Miami, finishing with 17 points, one 3-pointer, six rebounds, five assists and one steal.

Advice: Sir Lancelot has shot better than 50 percent from the field just once in 14 games this season. He's hurting fantasy owners with 38.1 percent FGs and 64.3 percent FTs, as well as middling defensive stats -- 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks. On the other hand, he's a nightly triple-double threat and is slowly figuring out how to succeed in the Hornets offense, so things should only improve as the season progresses. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 5:46 pm
  • Tony Allen (illness) will start on Sunday
Tony Allen (illness) will return to the starting lineup on Sunday, sending Tayshaun Prince to the bench.

Advice: Allen can be viewed as a steals-specialist as he doesn't contribute much else to the stat sheet, but he does have a favorable matchup today against the Clippers. Get him active if you've got him. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 2:58 pm
  • Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) remains w/out timetable
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) remains without an official timetable for his return, and he's currently not allowed to go through shooting drills, as doctors don't want him jumping.

Advice: We'll pass along any updates as they become available, but it's not looking like MKG is anywhere near making a return. While he's out, Gerald Henderson and Gary Neal will continue to see extended minutes, and Neal looks like a solid pickup for owners seeking some 3-point shooting. Rotoworld.com

  • Luigi Datome (ankle) questionable for Tuesday
Luigi Datome (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game vs. the Bucks.

Advice: Datome currently is not a rotation player for the Pistons, and he can remain on the waiver wire in all leagues until he proves otherwise. Rotoworld.com

  • Xavier Henry struggles to regain explosion
Lakers coach Byron Scott isn't sure that Xavier Henry will regain his former explosive athleticism following right knee surgery.

Advice: "I loved his athleticism and the fact that he could attack the basket," Scott said. "His relentlessness to attack the basket contributed to the injuries as well." Henry said that he can already move "better and quicker" at this stage in his recovery, and he doesn't plan to change his game, but fantasy owners can watch his development from afar -- he's averaging under 10 minutes per game and recently had a stint in the D-League. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 10:45 am
  • Lance Stephenson slowly adjusting to Hornets
Hornets coach Steve Clifford said that Lance Stephenson is becoming more comfortable in the team's offense, and "will do more and more things" as the season progresses.

Advice: "There are so many parts to [Stephenson fitting in]," Clifford said. "It’s him with his teammates. Defensively we’re similar in what we’re doing [to the Pacers], but offensively it’s so different ... [But] he’s better when he’s on the attack, no question about it." Stephenson is averaging 9.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game, but he's shooting just 37.0 percent with 0.5 triples, 0.8 steals and 0.2 blocks per game. Fantasy owners should stay patient, as his comfort-level in Charlotte should soon catch up to his talent. Rotoworld.com

  • LeBron James: Cavs are 'very fragile'
LeBron James said after Saturday's game that the Cavaliers are "a very fragile team right now."

Advice: "Any little adversity that hits us, we just shell up," James said. "This is not even the lowest it's going to get for us ... It's still too early for me to be negative at all. Once I crack then it will trickle down to everybody else." He finished Saturday's loss with a relatively quiet 15 points and 10 assists, and it wouldn't be surprising if he looked for his own shot more vs. the Magic on Monday. Rotoworld.com

  • Terrence Jones regains feeling in his toes
Terrence Jones has regained feeling in his toes after damaging a nerve in his leg on Nov. 4, but he remains without a timetable.

Advice: "It was scary, very scary for me not to have any movement in my leg at first," said Jones, who has nine games and counting. "Now I’m able to move it a little bit ... Hopefully I’ll be back soon. It’s getting better. It’s hard to say, but I just know I’m coming in and it’s improving." He's dealing with nerve inflammation, which is an unpredictable injury, and fantasy owners have no choice but to shelve him and hope for the best. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrei Kirilenko may not rejoin Brooklyn
Andrei Kirilenko still hasn't rejoined the Nets for "personal reasons" and the team is likely to either trade him or waive his contract.

Advice: A deal has been discussed with Philadelphia, involving Kirilenko and Sergey Karasev, but that wouldn't happen until Dec. 15 at the earliest. The Sixers' rotations are chaotic enough that AK and Karasev would be unlikely to hold reliable value in standard leagues, assuming they are even dealt to Philly. Rotoworld.com

  • Jeff Green frustration at an 'all-time high'
Jeff Green said that his frustration level was at an "all-time high" after Friday's loss to Memphis.

Advice: "[Friday] we let them get whatever they wanted," Green said. "So we deserved to lose." He has been playing well this year, leading the Celtics in scoring at 18.4 points per game, but is reasonably dissatisfied with his team's 4-7 record. Green can opt for free agency this summer and it's not implausible that Boston could trade him during the season -- a league executive told CSNNE.com that the market for Green is strong, "if not stronger," than it is for Rajon Rondo. • Otto Porter downplays hamstring injury
Otto Porter said that his hamstring injury is minor and may be the result of dehydration and fatigue, but he remains questionable to practice on Monday.

Advice: "Just a lot of soreness [on Saturday]," said Porter. "I didn’t want to make it into a big injury ... I’ve been through injuries before so I knew from the start it wasn’t nothing serious." Paul Pierce and Rasual Butler both picked up more minutes in Porter's absence but it sounds like he may return to the lineup for Tuesday's home game. Rotoworld.com

  • Kawhi Leonard goes for 21 and nine in win
Kawhi Leonard played 36 minutes against the Nets during a 99-87 win on Saturday with 21 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one steal.

Advice: He is playing through some blurry vision right now and made just 9-of-19 from the field. Leonard is starting to fill it up in several fantasy categories and he will be a monster once his vision gets corrected. He should be viewed as a top-20 fantasy asset. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 10:55 pm
  • Paul Pierce scores 25 points vs. Bucks
Paul Pierce had his best game in a Wizards uniform on Saturday with 25 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

Advice: The Wizards needed him to step up with Otto Porter (hamstring) out tonight and he came through. Pierce is not going to be this good, but his multiple-category output will make him worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 10:30 pm
  • Iman Shumpert still plays 32 minutes
Iman Shumpert played 32 minutes against the Sixers on Saturday with seven points, two rebounds, three assists, four steals and two turnovers.

Advice: He looked comfortable as the shooting guard tonight and coach Derek Fisher seems to have some confidence in Shumpert as his best wing defender. He won't be an elite guy, but he should have enough value worthy of ownership in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • LeBron James, Cavs drop fourth straight
LeBron James started Saturday's game vs. the Raptors with a flurry of energy, but he finished with 15 points, 10 assists, one steal and one block as the Cavaliers stumbled to a 17-point home loss.

Advice: LBJ said he felt good before the game, and began with a spirited intensity that was sorely lacking in Friday's defeat, but elation gave way to frustration as Cleveland let an early lead slip away. The Cavs will have their ups and downs throughout the regular season, but we can count on LeBron to put up phenomenal fantasy stats no matter what the circumstances. Rotoworld.com

Otto Porter will not play on Saturday night due to a left hamstring tightness.

  • Terrence Jones (leg) still has no timetable
Terrence Jones (leg) has no timetable for his return, and he said that when he first suffered the injury he "couldn't even feel his leg."

Advice: Jones bruised a nerve in his right leg, though the presence of nerve damage wasn't initially disclosed so fantasy owners were flying in the dark. He's missed nine games and counting and may still be out a few more weeks. He was producing at a top-40 level prior to the fluke injury, so in most cases he's still worth holding onto, but it's a decision that shouldn't be made lightly in any format. Donatas Motiejunas and Kostas Papanikolaou continue to absorb his playing time, with Motie filling in as a starter. Rotoworld.com

  • Kawhi Leonard still has foggy vision
Kawhi Leonard said he still has foggy vision and is sensitive to light.

Advice: "There’s really nothing I can do about it," Leonard said. "I just have to play through it." He added that in an extreme case he could have to deal with it throughout the season. Even with the vision issues, Leonard has still been a top-30 guy in the past two weeks, so his fantasy owners shouldn't panic with this news. Rotoworld.com

  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) out until Dec.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) isn't expected to return until at least Dec. 3.

Advice: He has a stress reaction in his foot and the Hornets are wisely playing it safe. "We’re lucky that he said something [about feeling pain] because if he gets a stress fracture we’re in deep trouble," said Steve Clifford. "I think that is why they’re being very careful." Gerald Henderson, Gary Neal and eventually P.J. Hairston (ankle) will pick up the slack in MKG's absence. Rotoworld.com

  • Cavs coach worried about 'every single thing'
After the Cavaliers fell to 5-6 with a loss on Friday, coach David Blatt said he's concerned about "every single thing" his team is doing.

Advice: "This is the same team a week ago was scoring 120 points a game," Blatt said. "We’re not a different group of people and we're not a different team. We're just playing in the dark right now." When LeBron James was asked whether any of the Cavs' lineups had found a rhythm this year he quickly replied "No," and it doesn't help that Blatt is experimenting with different rotations on a nightly basis. The Cavs will try to right the ship vs. the visiting Raptors on Saturday. Rotoworld.com

  • Nikola Mirotic erupts w/ 24 points, 11 boards
Nikola Mirotic stepped up with Taj Gibson (ankle) getting hurt against the Blazers on Friday, scoring a career-high 24 points with 11 rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Advice: Pau Gasol (calf) did not play tonight and X-rays were negative on Gibson's ankle, so he is not a lock for minutes. That said, Mirotic is capable of blocking shots, hitting treys and turning in good percentages, so it's not a bad idea to add him speculatively in some leagues. To be clear, we wouldn't cut a player you're going to miss. Rotoworld.com

  • Green posts fat line in blowout win over UTA
Draymond Green scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including a three) with nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in the Warriors' 101-88 blowout win over the Jazz.

Advice: The Jazz carried a 15-point edge in fourth quarter garbage time to get the game this close, and Green continued to plow away with his top 35-40 value. Yes, David Lee is coming back at some point and he's going to get minutes, but the Warriors don't look like they're going to make the same mistakes they've made in the past selling Green short. • Barnes plays 40 minutes in blowout win
Harrison Barnes saw 40 minutes in Friday's easy win over the Jazz, finishing with 14 points, 11 boards, one steal and two blocks.

Advice: Barnes did not hit a three but he did make all six of his free throws, and he has suddenly surged into top 90-110 value with averages of 29.6 minutes, 12.0 points, 1.2 threes, 5.4 boards and marks of 51.8 and 81.6 percent from the field and foul line, respectively. Unfortunately he is shooting way over his head right now and the impeding return to reality is going to knock him out of 12-team value, and that's before David Lee's eventual return factors in. • Danilo Gallinari has impressive game
Danilo Gallinari made 5-of-7 from the field for 17 points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 23 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: He entered tonight making just 26.2 percent from the field and he really needed a big game like this one. Gallinari is still a long way from playing close to his career 30.8 minutes per game, which might not even happen. Unless you want to be really aggressive, you can probably keep Gallo on the wire in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • LeBron James scores 22 points; Cavs now 5-6
LeBron James scored 22 points in a loss to the 91-78 loss to the Wizards on Friday to go with four rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes.

Advice: The Cavs are 5-6 and LeBron is below .500 after playing in at least 10 games since the 2007-08 season. The Cavs also had a 76ers-like 82.0 offensive efficiency rating tonight. While everyone is going to overreact, LeBron has been a top-10 player in fantasy leagues despite not even being close to as great as he was last season. Rotoworld.com

  • Morrow hits three treys in 25 minutes
Anthony Morrow hit three triples and 4-of-11 shots overall on Friday, finishing with 11 points, two boards and one steal in 25 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Morrow missed his window and it sounds like the cavalry is coming soon, but one had to know he'd get things turned around a little bit after a short cold stretch entering tonight. Feel free to move on in 12-14 team formats, but don't be surprised if he carves out value as a 3-point shooter sometime down the road. Rotoworld.com

  • Tayshaun Prince will start Friday vs. Boston
Tayshaun Prince will start in place of Tony Allen (illness) Friday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Prince is going to get some increased opportunity tonight with Allen and Quincy Pondexter sidelined, but that doesn't mean much. He's averaging 7.2 points and 2.6 rebounds with the starting unit, and with Allen and Pondexter not expected to be out long, he's not worth an add in almost any league. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 4:59 pm
  • Tony Allen (illness) out Friday vs. BOS
Tony Allen (illness) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Celtics.

Advice: With Allen out, Courtney Lee is going to get all the minutes he can handle. Vince Carter could also see some extended minutes off the bench, but Lee offers the most upside. Allen went through parts of shootaround today, so he shouldn't be out much longer, and we'll consider him questionable Sunday's game vs. the Clippers. Rotoworld.com

  • Quincy Pondexter won't play on Friday
Quincy Pondexter (illness) will not play on Friday against the Celtics.

  • Sixers looking to acquire Kirilenko, Karasev?
The Sixers and Nets have been in talks to make a deal involving Andrei Kirilenko and Sergey Karasev.

Advice: Russian owner Mikhail Prokorov is probably not too thrilled about this. Kirilenko's time in Brooklyn is about done and he will likely be waived by the 76ers. He's not really worth owning in any league. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrei Kirilenko is not traveling w/ the Nets
Andrei Kirilenko (personal) is not traveling with the Nets on their current road trip, and head coach Lionel Hollins doesn't know when/if he'll return.

Advice: Kirilenko has completely fallen out of the Nets rotation, and sources are saying the situation may not be resolved until he's on another team. AK-47 isn't worth owning in any league, as most of his season averages fall on the right side of the decimal point, and when he's in uniform there's no guarantee he steps on the court. It's looking like he may have played his last game wearing a Brooklyn jersey. Rotoworld.com

  • Quincy Pondexter (illness) doubtful for Fri.
Quincy Pondexter (illness) is being listed as doubtful for Friday's game vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Courtney Lee said that Pondexter is dealing with the worst part of the illness today, so it would be a bit shocking if he were to suit up. If Pondexter sits, there will be more minutes to go around for Vince Carter and Courtney Lee. Rotoworld.com

  • Tony Allen (illness) questionable for Friday
Tony Allen (illness) left Friday morning's shootaround early, and remains questionable to suit up vs. the Celtics.

Advice: If Allen is unable to go Vince Carter would likely see an increase in his minutes. Carter was able to play 27 minutes off the bench during his last outing, but was only managed seven points, three assists, and one three-pointer. However, he does have a favorable matchup today vs. the Celtics, so he may be worth the risk in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Matt Barnes has a calf issue
Matt Barnes is dealing with a sore left calf following Thursday's game against the Heat.

Advice: He is considered as probable for Sunday against the Grizzlies. Barnes finished with nine points and one 3-pointer in the win. He does have some low-end value since he does a little bit of everything, so give him a look if you're sick of the guy on the end of your bench. Rotoworld.com

  • Quincy Pondexter is questionable for Friday
Quincy Pondexter (illness) is listed as questionable to face the Celtics on Friday.

Tony Allen (illness) is questionable to face the Celtics on Friday.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Magic.

Advice: With P.J. Hairston (ankle) also sidelined, Gerald Henderson will likely draw another start and get all the minutes he can handle. Henderson is coming off a disappointing two rebound, zero-point dud from Wednesday, but he'll look to bounce-back with a favorable matchup vs. Orlando. MKG is considered day-to-day, but remains without an official return date. Rotoworld.com
    Thursday, 4:15 pm
  • Matt Barnes will start again on Thursday
Matt Barnes will again draw the start on Thursday as the Clippers take on the Heat.

Advice: Barnes looks to have won his starting job back, and has scored in double figures in two of his last three outings. Hopefully he can continue his solid play tonight, as he has a favorable matchup vs. the Heat. He's worth a speculative add in standard leagues for his ability to contribute to each category on the stat sheet. Rotoworld.com

  • Lance Stephenson enjoyed revenge game
Despite the loss to the Pacers on Wednesday, Lance Stephenson said he enjoyed his return to Indianapolis.

Advice: Stephenson was on triple-double alert against his former team on Wednesday, but Solomon Hill's buzzer beater spoiled his homecoming. "I’m just happy to be back, seeing my old friends," Stephenson said. "We played tough defense but 13 offensive rebounds, that’s what killed us. We’re small; we have to block out." While Stephenson's 37.4 field goal percentage is less than ideal, he's averaging close to a double-double and should be a nightly starter in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Thursday, 8:20 am
  • Marvin Williams scores eight points vs. Indy
Marvin Williams (knee) played 23 minutes against the Pacers on Wednesday with eight points, three rebounds and one steal.

Advice: He played a little more small forward tonight because the Hornets are so thin on the wing. Williams is not going to be involved enough in the offense to be used in most fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Thursday, 12:04 am
  • Anthony Morrow not doing much with minutes
Anthony Morrow played 28 minutes and hit 4-of-9 shots for 10 points, without making a 3-pointer.

Advice: If he's not going to hit threes, he has no fantasy value. Despite getting at least 28 minutes in all but one of his games this season, Morrow hasn't really done anything outside of a 28-point game on Nov. 12. Maybe he'll get it turned around at some point, but the odds aren't in his favor with the return of Andre Roberson from a foot injury tonight. Rotoworld.com

  • Quincy Pondexter struggles in start for MEM
Quincy Pondexter started for the flu-depleted Grizzlies on Wednesday and had just four points and one rebound on 2-of-6 shooting in 25 minutes.

Advice: Courtney Lee, Tony Allen and a few others were out with the illness tonight, so QP drew the start. He looked like a sneaky daily play, but that plan didn't work out as planned. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 11:24 pm
  • Tayshaun Prince scores season-high 15
Tayshaun Prince hit 6-of-8 shots and scored a season-high 15 points with three rebounds and one assist on Wednesday.

Advice: Several of his teammates were out with the flu, including Tony Allen and Courtney Lee, which resulted in a start for Prince. He's been awful this season and once his mates are back in action, you can forget about him. Rotoworld.com

    Wednesday, 11:03 pm
  • Iman Shumpert makes just 1-of-11 shots
Iman Shumpert made just 1-of-11 from the field against the Wolves on Wednesday with three points, four rebounds, one assist and four turnovers.

Advice: He turned in a 21-point gem on Tuesday night and was on the other end of the spectrum. Most of the Knicks wings are not giving Shumpert much competition, so he should still be able to keep his playing time somewhat high even when Jose Calderon (calf) comes back. He's worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 10:32 pm
  • Lance Stephenson fills the stat sheet in loss
Lance Stephenson returned to Indiana on Wednesday night in a losing effort, scoring 10 points with eight rebounds, seven assists and two blocks.

Advice: It was mostly cheers when he was introduced tonight despite Stephenson thinking he would be booed. He's not shooting the ball well at all this season, but he's almost averaging a double-double with over nine boards per game. Stephenson did play 39 minutes tonight, which is a good sign for his ailing groin injury. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 8:27 pm
  • Jeff Green double-doubles in win over Sixers
Jeff Green hit just 5-of-13 shots and missed all four of his 3-point attempts, but finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in Wednesday's win over the Sixers.

Advice: Green was on a tear coming in, scoring 28 in his previous game, and while we were expecting a little more against the Sixers, it's hard to complain about a double-double. Like teammate Jared Sullinger, Green has scored in double figures in every game this season, and is averaging 20 points, five rebounds, 1.1 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.9 3-pointers on the season, making him one of the best value picks in fantasy thus far. • LeBron, Irving not enough vs. Spurs
LeBron James hit 6-of-17 shots and two 3-pointers for 15 points, six rebounds, nine assists, a steal, a block and five turnovers in Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.

Advice: Kyrie Irving was better on 7-of-15 shooting and three 3-pointers for 20 points, just two assists, and three steals. LeBron's ball handling is probably going to hurt Irving's assist numbers over the course of the season, along with Kevin Love's rebounding and scoring. Had LeBron limited his TOs and made a few more shots tonight, the Cavs would have beaten the Spurs, but they played solid defense against him. LeBron wasn't at his best tonight, but he's having a big season and should be ready to dominate against the Wizards on Friday. Rotoworld.com

  • Kawhi Leonard quietly fills stat sheet
Kawhi Leonard played 37 minutes and had 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals on 4-of-11 shooting in Wednesday's tough win over the Cavs.

Advice: Leonard's game could have been a lot better had he made some shots and some 3-pointers, but it wasn't bad, either. He's playing at a high level right now and living up to the hype, despite the best efforts of his coach. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 7:29 pm
  • Matt Barnes getting better for Clippers
Matt Barnes started again and had 13 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals, a block and three 3-pointers in Wednesday's easy win over the Magic.

Advice: This is the kind of line we were expecting on a regular basis from Barnes, but he's just recently started to show signs of life. He's scored in double figures in two of his last three games, has hit nine 3-pointers over his last four, and just recently moved back into the starting unit. If you've had your eye on him, now is the time to pick him up and hope this is just the start of something good. But up until the last week, he had no business being in fantasy lineups. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 6:24 pm
  • Quincy Pondexter in line for big minutes Wed.
Quincy Pondexter should play heavy minutes for the Grizzlies on Wednesday, as they're down to only nine healthy players.

Advice: Five guys are out with the flu including Courtney Lee and Tony Allen, which opens up a major opportunity for Q-Pon on the wings. He's well worth considering as a fill-in option in daily leagues, but doesn't have enough long-term value to bother with anywhere else. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 3:39 pm
  • Tony Allen will not play on Wednesday
Tony Allen (illness) will not play against the Raptors on Wednesday.

Advice: The Grizzlies are in deep trouble with half of their rotation out tonight. Tayshaun Prince, Quincy Pondexter, Vince Carter and Jordan Adams will soak up as many minutes as they can. Allen should be considered questionable for Friday against the Celtics. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 3:33 pm
  • Tony Allen (flu) questionable on Wednesday
Tony Allen, Kosta Koufos, Courtney Lee, Jon Leuer, and Beno Udrih are all questionable to face the Raptors on Wednesday as they are all dealing with flu-like symptoms.

Advice: This is a nightmare for the Grizzlies, as they could be incredibly shorthanded against Toronto if they have to sit out. If any of these players sit out, we may get an extended look at rookies Jordan Adams and Jarnell Stokes, while Vince Carter and Quincy Pondexter would likely benefit the most. Stay tuned. Wednesday, 10:06 am
  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) out Wednesday
Michael Kidd-Gilchirst (foot) is out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Advice: After showing visible improvement in his play early this season, he has had some tough luck with injuries so far. MKG is expected to make a full recovery with a few days rest, so we will consider him day-to-day for now. Gary Neal (concussion) is also out for Wednesday's game while P.J. Hairston (ankle) is doubtful, meaning Gerald Henderson could see big minutes and is worth a look in daily leagues or for owners in need of a short-term boost. Rotoworld.com

  • Iman Shumpert returned to action on Tuesday November 18. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 11:47 pm
  • Anthony Morrow quiet in 34 minutes Tuesday
Anthony Morrow logged 34 minutes off the Thunder bench on Tuesday, but he scored only eight points with five rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Advice: Morrow hit a 3-pointer and he doesn't usually contribute many boards or defensive stats, which take the sting out of his low-scoring game. He blew up for 28 points and four triples last Wednesday but is just 7-of-31 from the field since then (22.6 percent), so fantasy owners should deploy him with caution. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 8:38 pm
  • Iman Shumpert (hip) piles up 21/8/8 in return
Iman Shumpert (hip) returned in style on Tuesday, scoring 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting with two 3-pointers, eight rebounds, eight assists, three steal and three turnovers.

Advice: He did his damage in 36 minutes while starting alongside J.R. Smith, with Carmelo Anthony taking over at PF. Shump is on fire from the field and is shooting 50.5 percent on the season, compared to his previous career-best 40.1 percent shooting, and fantasy owners should continue to ride him until he cools off. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 7:45 pm
  • Wes Johnson held to four points in 32 minutes
Wes Johnson finished Tuesday's game with a mere four points, one rebound, two assists and one steal in 32 minutes.

Advice: Johnson has played the second-most minutes of any Lakers player this season, yet he's scored double-digit points just three times and is shooting an abysmal 31.8 percent from the field. Nick Young's return presents yet another challenge to his fantasy value, and owners can confidently leave him on the waiver wire. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 7:09 pm
  • Marvin Williams (knee) questionable vs. Indy
Marvin Williams (knee) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: He played on both Friday and Saturday despite being listed as doubtful and questionable, respectively, so there's a good chance that he'll be in uniform. That doesn't mean he'll have fantasy value, however, as he's coming off a scoreless game and hasn't been consistent enough for use outside of very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 6:26 pm
  • Iman Shumpert (hip) will start on Tuesday
Iman Shumpert (hip) will start at small forward on Tuesday vs. the Bucks, and he will not have a restriction on his minutes.

Advice: Shumpert will play at small forward, and will be joined by Shane Larkin, J.R. Smith, Carmelo Anthony, and Samuel Dalembert with Quincy Acey heading to the bench. The most interesting part about this news is that J.R. Smith will start alongside Shumpert, and Smith is fresh off a 28-point game vs. the Nuggets. It'll be interesting to see how the Knicks fare using a small-ball lineup, but this can be seen as positive news for owners of Smith. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 3:42 pm
  • LeBron James wants minutes to come down
LeBron James stated during a recent interview that his minutes have to "come down."

Advice: "For me, I don't want to [play heavy minutes] all year," James said. "Obviously right now it's difficult because we're trying to find a groove and we're trying to find a rhythm and we're trying to find something that you can't really, you don't want to shortcut it but at the same time you gotta be smart about it." James is currently averaging the third-most minutes per game in the NBA at 39.1 per game, but a slight reduction in minutes wouldn't hinder James' value. When LBJ is on the court, he will put up big stat lines, so owners have nothing to worry about with this report. Rotoworld.com

  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist out Weds vs Pacers
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) has been declared out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Advice: MKG's stress reaction will keep him out for a fourth consecutive game on Wednesday and he will be joined on the Hornets' inactive list by Gary Neal (concussion) and likely P.J. Hairston (ankle). Gerald Henderson put up 18 points in 37 minutes with MKG and Neal out on Monday and should again make for a solid fantasy play with both players out on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 9:50 am
  • Iman Shumpert expected to play vs MIL on Tues
Iman Shumpert (hip) is expected to play against the Bucks on Tuesday.

Advice: Shumpert said he felt good during morning shootaround and wants to play, but will meet with the training staff before making a pre-game decision. We'll consider Shumpert a game-time decision for now, but J.R. Smith would be a strong fantasy play on Tuesday if Shump is unable to go. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 9:43 am
  • LeBron James working on relationship w/Blatt
LeBron James is still working on building a relationship with Cavaliers head coach David Blatt.

Advice: James and Blatt had somewhat contrary statements about the Cavs' energy level after Monday's loss to the Nuggets, but we're still only nine games into the regular season so it's not time to send the two to counseling just yet. "Every day we continue to learn each other, as a group, as individuals," James said before the Cavs' loss. "He's an intense guy, very intense guy. Wants to win, wants to do it the right way. He doesn't want to mess around too much with the process, and you can respect that." Regardless of his relationship with his head coach, James' fantasy owners have to be happy with his top-5 play over the last two weeks. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrei Kirilenko still out of Nets rotation
Andre Kirilenko told reporters that he doesn't know what to do to get back in the Nets' rotation.

Advice: Kirilenko said he spoke with Nets' head coach Lionel Hollins about the situation and appreciated the coach's honesty, but is still disappointed. AK-47 has played just 27 minutes this season, so fantasy owners can feel free to move on from the 33-year-old. Rotoworld.com

  • Barnes still struggling for the Clippers
Matt Barnes hit just 2-of-8 shots (2-of-6 from deep) for seven points with two rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes on Monday against the Bulls.

Advice: Whether it's his divorce or any other off-the-court issue, Barnes simply isn't getting it done. He can be watched from the wire. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 11:15 pm
  • Jeff Green scores 28 points vs. Suns
Jeff Green scored 28 points against the Suns on Monday with two rebounds, one assist, three steals and two blocks in 36 minutes.

Advice: He put Marcus Morris on a poster and he's playing some aggressive ball right now. Green's shooting percentages were starting to come down, but he is getting to the line a lot more this season. He is one of the best late-round picks from drafts this season. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 11:11 pm
  • Mirotic productive with Pau Gasol out
Nikola Mirotic was productive with Pau Gasol (calf) out on Monday, scoring 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds and two assists in 18 minutes.

Advice: Mirotic needs an injury or two in front of him before he has any real fantasy value, but this is a good sign that he may be able to come through if given the chance. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 10:55 pm
  • Kawhi Leonard only plays 20 minutes on Monday
Kawhi Leonard played just 20 minutes against the 76ers during a 100-75 win on Monday with five points, 11 rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Advice: He had 10 boards before the halftime and coach Gregg Popovich didn't need his stars in the second half. Leonard has been outstanding since his slow start and he'll get to guard LeBron James in a big matchup on Wednesday night. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 10:40 pm
  • Pondexter posts nice line in blowout win
Quincy Pondexter scored 13 points on 5-of-14 shooting (including three treys) with three rebounds and four assists over 30 minutes in Monday's blowout win.

Advice: Pondexter has been in and out of the rotation and we need to see this many more times before we let him out of our doghouse. He and Kosta Koufos (three steals, three blocks, 10 points, six boards) obviously benefited from the garbage time tonight. Rotoworld.com

  • Terrence Jones (leg) to miss another month?
Fansided reported on Monday that Rockets play-by-play man Bill Worrell said Terrence Jones (leg) "may be out another month" during their game against the Grizzlies.

Advice: We had multiple readers ping us with the same info and we have yet to find the tape to confirm that. Perhaps the Houston media can weigh in on this bit of news, and this also highlights how the TV guys can sometimes come with the scoop. Treat this as a pretty well-placed 'rumor' for now, but Jones' owners may want to start looking at contingency plays right away. Rotoworld.com

Advice: The flu is doubtful to hold him back going forward, especially with the Cavs under increased scrutiny with each passing loss. We're keeping him off the injury report. Rotoworld.com

  • Lance Stephenson still dealing with injury
Lance Stephenson played 30 minutes in a 107-80 loss to the Mavericks on Monday, scoring six points with six rebounds and seven assists.

Advice: It's pretty clear he's still dealing with his groin issue and he was grimacing throughout this game. Stephenson is going to have to play through it and it might be a while until he's 100 percent. We do expect him to play on Wednesday against the Pacers, his former team. Rotoworld.com

  • Afflalo scores 23; Lawson hits 24 & 12 in win
Arron Afflalo scored a season-high 23 points in Monday's win over the Cavs, hitting 8-of-17 shots (including four threes) with four rebounds, three assists and a block in 40 minutes.

Advice: Afflalo has been able to turn the corner on a harsh start but with the way things are going in Denver -- even after a win over the Cavs on the road -- we're not betting the house on any mid-round upside. A low upside player to begin with in standard formats, he should be owned in all formats while he's hot, nevertheless. Ty Lawson went for 24 and 12 in the win. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 7:09 pm
  • Gallinari (knee) plays just eight minutes
Danilo Gallinari (knee) played just eight minutes on Friday against the Cavs.

  • Tayshaun Prince is back on the bench

  • Terrence Jones still without timetable
Terrence Jones (leg) is still without a timetable to return.

Advice: He has a nerve issue in his leg and he is likely going to be out for at least a week. He was just too good before his injury, so his fantasy owners just have to stick with him. Donatas Motiejunas will get some extra run, but is only an option in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Update: Nate and Gallinari will play on Mon.
Nate Robinson and Danilo Gallinari will play against the Cavs on Monday.

Advice: They were ruled out earlier this morning and coach Brian Shaw has changed his tune. There are still way too many concerns about both guys tonight and they are unlikely to play more than half of the game tonight. That said, it's a little harder to be bullish on Arron Afflalo and Wilson Chandler tonight. Rotoworld.com

  • LeBron James is good to go for Monday night
LeBron James (illness) will play against the Nuggets on Monday night.

Advice: He missed shootaround with a head cold, but he was expected to play the entire time. James is hot on offense with 31.6 points per game in his last five and is also getting to the line 9.6 times per game in that span, too. Get him in your lineup even though garbage time will likely be a factor tonight. Rotoworld.com

Danilo Gallinari and Nate Robinson could play against the Cavs on Monday, according to coach Brian Shaw.

Advice: Interesting. They are not expected to play in back-to-back sets, but the is at least a small chance because of their low minutes on Sunday. Gallinari is still very unlikely to go, so those who were looking to use Wilson Chandler or Arron Afflalo shouldn't be too discouraged. Rotoworld.com

  • Iman Shumpert will test out his hip Tuesday
Iman Shumpert is still feeling soreness in his hip, but he'll test the injury on Tuesday.

Advice: The Knicks play the Bucks on Tuesday, and it sounds as if Shumpert could come down to a game-time call. If Shumpert isn't able to suit up and give it a go, J.R. Smith will see his window of increased value extended ever so slightly. In that scenario, Tim Hardaway should pick up a few minutes as well. Rotoworld.com

  • Matt Barnes struggling through divorce
Matt Barnes admitted his recent divorce has impacted his play this season.

Advice: "It's tough. When you're going through a divorce it's hard," Barnes said. "We still have to show up and play." Barnes also added he doesn't care whether or not he starts, but he wants to work himself back into the mix after a slow start. Barnes is best left on the waiver wire. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 9:00 am
  • Arron Afflalo beginning to heat up for Denver
Arron Afflalo is averaging 17.5 points over his last two games.

Advice: It's a small sample, but Afflalo is shooting 59 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from behind the 3-point line. AA credits a "mental adjustment" for the difference in his game, and that may have been sparked by Brian Shaw benching him in a recent contest. He shouldn't be on the waiver wire. Rotoworld.com

  • LeBron misses shootaround, probable Monday
LeBron James (illness) missed shootaround, but he's probable vs. the Nuggets on Monday.

Advice: The Nuggets are one of the worst teams in the league right now, so the Cavs are likely just being cautious with their superstar. The fact that he's already probable is an indication it's not serious, but daily leaguers should keep James' illness in mind when filling out their lineups on Monday. Rotoworld.com

Danilo Gallinari and Nate Robinson will both miss Monday's game against the Cavs.

Advice: Both players are fine, but neither is cleared to play in back-to-back sets just yet. Without Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Arron Afflalo should be the main beneficiaries, while Robinson's absence will mean the team will lean a little harder on Ty Lawson. Rotoworld.com

  • Marvin Williams (knee) invisible in start
Marvin Williams (knee) started Saturday's game vs. the Warriors but went scoreless with three rebounds and one turnover in 15 minutes.

Advice: Williams missed all three of his field goals and he's been dreadful over the past five games, averaging 4.2 points on 38.1 percent shooting. He doesn't contribute enough in other categories to make up the difference, and doesn't warrant fantasy owners' attention outside of the deepest leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Anthony Morrow goes 1-of-9 from field vs. HOU
Anthony Morrow shot just 1-of-9 from the field on Sunday, finishing a tough home loss vs. Houston with four points, one rebound, one steal and three personal fouls in 29 minutes.

Advice: Morrow poured in 28 points vs. the Celtics on Wednesday but he's struggled since then, going a combined 5-of-25 from the field in OKC's past two games. He'll be better most nights and is worth owning if you're in need of scoring and 3-pointers, but don't expect well-rounded production. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 16, 7:10 pm
  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) out for Monday
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) will not play in Monday's game vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: MKG has a stress reaction but the Hornets continue to list him as day-to-day, which suggests that they caught it very early. Gary Neal (concussion) is also out of commission, which means P.J. Hairston will earn another start with help from reserves Gerald Henderson and Brian Roberts. Rotoworld.com

  • Arron Afflalo scores 18 points in Denver loss
Arron Afflalo had another nice outing on Sunday, scoring 18 points to go with four rebounds, three assists, and five 3-pointers over 32 minutes of action.

Advice: Afflalo has gotten some increased opportunity with Randy Foye (knee) unavailable to question him for minutes, but he really doesn't do much aside from score. He's not going to have the same season in Denver that he had in Orlando last year, but his ability to put up points and hit 3-pointers in bunches makes him worth owning in standard leagues. • Iman Shumpert (hip) is out for Sunday's game
Iman Shumpert (hip) is out for Sunday's game and J.R. Smith will draw the start.

Advice: This is a tough blow for Shump's owners, as he had been playing well so far this season. He isn't expected to miss much time, so J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway are only options for owners in need of short-term value. Consider Shumpert day-to-day and we will update his status as needed. Rotoworld.com

Andrei Kirilenko picked up yet another DNP-CD on Saturday, and has only managed to play 27 minutes this season.

Advice: It keeps getting worse for him, and he has simply fallen completely out of the rotation. The fact that Bojan Bogdanovic is getting minutes, let alone starting, speaks volumes about Kirilenko this season. Owners can ignore AK-47 in almost all leagues until further notice. Rotoworld.com

Advice: The line isn't great, but a player with a usage rate of only 18.6 isn't going to light it up every night. However, it's interesting to see the drastic upward trend in his minutes. Green played 13.4 in 2012-13, 21.9 in 2013-14 and he's at 32.6 this season. Green also has a remarkable 69.0 effective field goal percentage on his 29 catch-and-shoot attempts. He's been a top-30 player in the past two weeks and could be top 50 all season. Rotoworld.com

  • Iman Shumpert (hip) is doubtful Sunday
Iman Shumpert (hip) is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against Denver.

Advice: He had to leave the game on Friday but the good news was that X-rays were negative. Shumpert could still play Sunday but if he doesn't, expect the Knicks to use a committee approach to fill Shump's minutes with the likes of Shane Larkin and Pablo Prigioni. However, neither of those players are what we would call enticing pickups so owners in standard leagues will want to avoid them. Rotoworld.com

  • Matt Barnes has a decent game in start
Matt Barnes started against the Suns on Saturday with 12 points two rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

Advice: He was coming off the bench because of his shooting issues. Barnes scored a season high tonight and perhaps he can get it going to climb back into the standard-league conversation. However, this game is not going to drive the demand up enough to pick him up. Rotoworld.com

  • Kawhi Leonard plays 40 minutes on Saturday
Kawhi Leonard played 40 minutes against the Kings on Saturday with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: The line is pretty good, but the minutes are the story here. Leonard has played at least 37 minutes in three of his last five games, averaging 17.4 points, 8.0 boards, 2.2 assists, 1.0 blocks, 1.6 steals, 1.2 triples and 1.4 turnovers on 53.1 percent from the field and 76.5 percent from the line. He's a stud. Rotoworld.com

  • Harrison Barnes drops 17 points in 23 minutes
Harrison Barnes dropped 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting in just 23 minutes on Saturday, adding four boards, one assist and three 3-pointers.

Advice: Don't look now but Barnes is starting to find his groove with the Warriors. He has scored over 10 points in his last four games and has finally shown some aggression that been severely lacking upon entering the NBA. However, Barnes may lose a lot of value when David Lee (hamstring) returns so owners in standard leagues should use a cautious approach here. Rotoworld.com

  • Lance Stephenson drops 16 points on Saturday
Lance Stephenson scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting in a loss to the Warriors on Saturday, while adding four assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

Advice: He came into the game with a questionable tag due to his ailing groin, but he appeared fine throughout the game. Born Ready did however fail to register a single rebound on the night after he had been one of the league's leading rebounders in the beginning of the season. He will likely bounce back sooner rather than later and owners can continue to deploy him as usual. Rotoworld.com

  • Matt Barnes ejected from Saturday's game
Matt Barnes was ejected from Saturday's game after receiving two technical fouls, finishing the game with 12 points, one board, one assist and two 3-pointers in 26 minutes in a start at small forward.

Advice: Barnes was up to his usual antics and couldn't keep his cool all night despite the Clippers having a huge lead throughout the game. He has been very disappointing this season and despite the fact that he started Saturday, he is simply too unreliable to own in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Kawhi Leonard will play on Saturday night
Kawhi Leonard (eye) will play on Saturday against the Kings.

Advice: He was medically cleared last night, there is always the fear of coach Gregg Popovic resting guys on a back-to-back. Leonard is on fire over his last three and his fantasy owners aren't concerned about his production anymore. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 6:26 pm
  • Marvin Williams (knee) will dress on Saturday
Marvin Williams (knee) will suit up for Saturday's game.

Advice: He was questionable leading up to the game so it's good to see him available to play in this one. However, Williams hasn't been a consistent option this season and should only be considered in deep leagues for owners in need of 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 6:15 pm
  • Lance Stephenson, Marvin & Neal will dress
Lance Stephenson (groin), Marvin Williams (knee) and Gary Neal (foot) will dress against the Warriors on Saturday.

Advice: Stephenson has been dealing with his groin strain for a few days, but was able to play a 38 minutes in a big win at Phoenix on Friday. Fantasy owners can plug last year's leader in triple-doubles into their lineups. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 6:13 pm
  • Matt Barnes will start against Suns
Matt Barnes will start against the Suns on Saturday.

Advice: He was pushed to the bench against two bigger teams in the Blazers and Spurs, but the loss on Monday may have changed coach Doc Rivers' mind. Barnes has been a letdown so far and there's little reason to pick him up until he gets it going. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 5:58 pm
  • Tayshaun Prince draws another start Saturday
Tayshaun Prince will draw another start on Saturday, and Courtney Lee will come off the bench.

Advice: We don't understand what the Grizzlies see in Prince but he will get the nod with the first unit once again. Prince started on Thursday but ended up playing only 11 minutes and scored two points, so Lee's owners shouldn't be too concerned. Prince can be ignored in almost all leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 5:15 pm
  • Marvin Williams is questionable on Sat.
Marvin Williams (knee) is questionable to play against the Warriors on Saturday.

Advice: He played through a doubtful tag on Friday, so it wouldn't be a big shock to see him sit tonight. Williams has been too inconsistent to be counted on even with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist out. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 3:59 pm
  • Stephenson, Neal, Williams & Kemba questionable
Lance Stephenson (groin), Kemba Walker (back), Marvin Williams (knee) and Gary Neal (foot) are all questionable to face the Warriors on Saturday.

Advice: All of these guys played last night and they're probably going to play tonight. Stephenson has looked good with his new team and would be a must-start as long as he's active. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 3:53 pm
  • Iman Shumpert (hip) doubtful for Sunday
Iman Shumpert (hip) missed practice on Saturday and is doubtful to play on Sunday against the Nuggets.

Advice: He did not return from his hip contusion on Friday, but X-rays were negative. Shumpert isn't expected to miss too much time, but there's a chance he could miss time even beyond Sunday. Shane Larkin and Pablo Prigioni will have to play next to each other for several possesions while J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. may play more, too. There isn't a great pickup to make here, though. • Kyle Anderson feels fortunate to be a Spur
Kyle Anderson said on Friday that he feels fortunate to be a Spur.

Advice: "Of course I'm happy that I landed with the Spurs. I think I'm one of the most fortunate guys in the draft to land in San Antonio, especially as a 21-year-old kid," Anderson said. "I think that means a lot and it's going to help my career down the line." While it's nice to see that Anderson is happy in San Antonio, it will take at least a couple more years before he carves out a sizeable role, so he can be safely ignored in almost all formats for right now. • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) out on Saturday
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) is out as expected on Saturday and rookie P.J. Hairston will likely draw another start.

Advice: He missed Friday's game, and the Hornets are going to hold him out of Saturday's game as well as he tries to recover from a stress reaction in his foot. Rookie P.J. Hairston will draw another start, but is only an option in deep leagues or in daily leagues for his 3-point shooting, as he knocked down three 3-pointers in 17 minutes Friday. MKG is considered day-to-day and we will update his status as needed. Rotoworld.com

  • Kawhi takes five stitches; will play Saturday
Kawhi Leonard took five stitches after getting cut under his right eye in Friday's win over the Lakers, and finished with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks in 18 minutes.

Advice: Leonard was medically cleared to return but the game was already in hand for the Spurs so he watched the rest in the locker room. With all the random stops and starts to his season he hasn't quite performed up to his ADP, but he has looked like a stud and this may be your last chance get your hands on the Claw. We're putting him on the injury report only because of Pop, and Leonard has said that he will play on Saturday against the Kings. Rotoworld.com

  • Williams (knee) logs 23 minutes on Friday
Marvin Williams (knee) played 23 minutes in Friday's win over the Suns, scoring five points on 2-of-3 shooting with two rebounds and one steal.

Advice: Williams had a single solid game to start the season but it has been all downhill from there. He's waiver wire fodder at this time. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 14, 11:53 pm
  • Stephenson plays well; dealing w/ groin issue
Lance Stephenson played through a groin injury in Friday's win, posting 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting with eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 38 minutes.

Advice: Stephenson told beat writer Rick Bonnell after the game that his groin strain "flairs up intermittently in a way you really can't predict." Bonnell added that "the only treatment would be rest, and Stephenson doesn't care to miss any more games." It's a good news/bad news situation where one can be comfortable with the effort to stay on the floor, and hope he doesn't push too hard or suffer from efficiency issues as a result. Rotoworld.com

  • Morrow only scores 10 points vs. Pistons
Anthony Morrow scored just 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting with two threes, three boards and one steal in 36 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Owners are going to see Jeremy Lamb's career-night of 24 points and 10 boards and consider jumping ship, but coming off a 28-point night of his own Morrow has earned a bit of patience here. He still got good minutes and plenty of shot attempts and even if Lamb does have staying power there's a solid 1-2 week window where he can still do some damage. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 14, 11:20 pm
  • Kawhi Leonard goes to the locker room
Kawhi Leonard went to the locker room in the fourth quarter of Friday's game.

Advice: He was in the midst of one of his typical big lines, but had to leave after it looked like he was poked in the eye. Leonard is going to deal with issues in his right eye for the next week or longer, but he's proven he'll be an elite asset. Even with the slow start, Leonard was already putting up top-20 value in standard leagues on a per-game basis. Rotoworld.com

  • Arron Afflalo bounces back after benching
Arron Afflalo was effective against the Pacers on Friday with 17 points, one rebound, two assists and three 3-pointers on 7-of-11 from the field.

Advice: He was benched for the entire second half on Wednesday and stepped up with Randy Foye (knee) out tonight. Afflalo isn't going to do much outside of scoring, but the treys should make him worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 14, 7:46 pm
  • Danilo Gallinari scores 12 in win over Indy
Danilo Gallinari scored 12 points on 4-of-6 from the field against the Pacers on Friday, adding four rebounds and three 3-pointers in 22 minutes.

Advice: It was his most impressive game of the season and he's starting to look like 2012-13 Gallinari again. He's still likely going to be very inconsistent and probably won't be a top-100 guy for another month or so, but feel free to grab him to be ahead of the curve. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 14, 7:44 pm
  • Marvin Williams (knee) expected to play Fri.
Marvin Williams (knee tendinitis) will start in Friday's game vs. the Suns.

Advice: Williams was listed as doubtful heading into this one, so this news is a bit surprising. Williams is averaging just 7.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 three-pointers on the year, so he doesn't really belong on a roster in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 14, 4:43 pm
  • Stephenson, Williams, Neal all a go on Friday
Lance Stephenson (groin), Marvin Williams (knee) and Gary Neal (foot) will all play on Friday against the Suns.

Advice: Get Stephenson back into your lineup unless you have better options. Rotoworld.com

  • Jones (leg) could be out longer than Monday
Terrence Jones (leg) will be returning after Patrick Beverley (hamstring) according to coach Kevin McHale, and beat writer Jonathan Feigen thinks that Beverley could return for either Sunday or Monday's game.

Advice: Jones' timetable has been murky at best and this sounds like an extended day-to-day situation. Hang onto Jones and give added consideration to Donatas Motiejunas as a short-term pickup if he can show us anything tonight. Rotoworld.com

  • Luigi Datome (hamstring) will be active Fri.
Luigi Datome (hamstring) will be available to play Friday vs. the Thunder.

Advice: Datome is going to struggle to find minutes playing behind Josh Smith, Kyle Singler, and Caron Butler, so he's not a viable option in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Marvin Williams (knee) going through warmups
Marvin Williams (knee tendinitis) was spotted doing some shooting and cutting during Friday's warmups.

Advice: Williams is listed as doubtful for tonight's game, but him going through warmups means that there's still a small chance he suits up. If he's unable to go, Cody Zeller would draw the start at power forward, but he doesn't offer much upside as a plug-and-play option. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 14, 3:38 pm
  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) out Friday
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist had a stress reaction in his right foot, and will be sidelined for at least the next two games.

Advice: That means that Kidd-Gilchrist will be targeting a return for Monday's game vs. Dallas at the earliest. Beat reporter Rick Bonnell is reporting that rookie P.J. Hairston will draw the start Friday, and it'll be interesting to see what he can do with some extended minutes. Owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach with Hairston. Rotoworld.com

  • Terrence Jones (leg) out Friday vs. 76ers
Terrence Jones (leg) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the 76ers.

Advice: Jones was already ruled out for the week on Monday, so this news should come as no surprise. Donatas Motiejunas has been starting in his place, but is currently averaging just 3.3 points and 3.7 rebounds as a starter. However, guys tend to turn in nice lines vs. the Sixers, so it wouldn't be the worst idea to roll the dice on him in a daily league. Rotoworld.com

  • Dray Day: Draymond Green flirts w/ trey-deuce
Draymond Green took over against the Nets on Thursday with 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: He's shined in four of his last five games, averaging 17.2 points, 7.4 boards, 3.8 assists, 2.0 blocks, 0.8 steals and 2.4 triples. Green is absolutely rolling and he'll be a valuable asset for his savvy fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com
