      According to Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto, Damion Lee has decided to opt out of his player option with the Suns ahead of the 2024-25 season.

      Lee (knee) declined his $2.85 million player option with the Suns on Saturday, and he will test unrestricted free agency, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.

      Advice: Lee saw decent playing time in his first, and possibly final, season with Phoenix. The 31-year-old averaged 8.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 20.4 minutes in 74 regular-season games. What was most impressive about Lee's game was his improved shot from long range.       The Knicks did not extend a $6.3 million qualifying offer to Achiuwa on Saturday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Katz is reporting that the Knicks haven't ruled out the idea of bringing Achiuwa back, but right now they are prioritizing flexibility for their cap space. After being acquired from the Raptors last season, Achiuwa went on to make 49 appearances for the Knicks with averages of 7.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks in 24.2 minutes.       The Jazz extended a qualifying offer to Juzang on Saturday, making him a restricted free agent, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Juzang's role grew with the Jazz toward the end of the 2023-24 campaign, so it's not a surprise to see that Utah is interested in keeping the score-first guard around. Juzang spent a lot of time in the G League as well. In his 20 appearances with the Jazz, he produced averages of 7.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.6 three-pointers.       According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Kevin Love is declining his player option for the 2024-25 season.

      Advice: Had he opted into the final season of his contract, Love would have made approximately $4 million in 2024-25. He’ll become an unrestricted free agent, but Wojnarowski also reported that Love and the Heat are “enthusiastic” about being able to work out a deal. Love will likely have limited fantasy value if he returns to Miami, as the Heat have Bam Adebayo as their starting center and selected Indiana’s Kel’El Ware with the 15th overall pick in Wednesday’s NBA Draft.       Advice: Though Love will hit the open market, he and the Heat are optimistic about negotiating a new deal in the opening days of free agency. The veteran big man has carved out a nice role off the bench in Miami, where he has been productive in relatively short-minute stints. Overall, Love averaged 8.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 triples across 16.8 minutes in 55 appearances in 2023-24.
