    • Remaining in Miami
Love agreed Sunday with the Heat on a two-year deal worth over $8 million, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: On Saturday, Love declined his $4.03 million player option for the 2024-25 season, but he'll remain with Miami after quickly coming to terms on a two-year deal. The 35-year-old made 55 regular-season appearances for Miami in 2023-24, averaging 8.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 16.8 minutes per game. He'll look to fend off rookie first-round pick Kel'el Ware for the primary backup role behind starting center Bam Adebayo. Rotowire.com Today, 3:07 pm
    • Shams: Heat, Kevin Love agree to two-year contract
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Kevin Love and the Heat are finalizing a two-year, $8 million deal.

Advice: Love opted out of the final season of his contract on Saturday, but the expectation was that he and the Heat would agree to a new deal. That has reportedly happened, with the veteran center in line to provide additional frontcourt depth. Miami did select Kel’El Ware with the No. 15 pick in last week’s draft, but retaining love will help with the rookie’s development behind All-Star Bam Adebayo. Rotoworld Today, 3:05 pm
    • Shams: Klay officially leaving Warriors
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Klay Thompson will leave the Warriors in free agency.

Advice: Shams notes that the two sides will work on sign-and-trade options. It’s not a surprising update, but we’ve finally received confirmation that Thompson will not be a Warrior after 13 seasons and four rings with the franchise that drafted him. Rotoworld Today, 3:04 pm
    • Returning to Boston
Kornet agreed to a one-year deal with the Celtics on Sunday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Advice: Kornet bounced back during his second full season with the Celtics in 2023-24, averaging 5.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game over 63 regular-season appearances. The 28-year-old will remain with the Celtics for the 2024-25 campaign and will likely be in store for a similar role as a depth option in the frontcourt. Rotowire.com Today, 3:03 pm
    • Woj: Celtics to sign Luke Kornet to 1-year deal
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics will re-sign Luke Kornet to a one-year deal.

Advice: Kornet offered modest value as a reserve big man for the Celtics last season, appearing in 63 games for the NBA champions. However, Kristaps Porzingis’s left leg injury and subsequent surgery likely strengthened Boston’s desire to retain Kornet, as there is a clear need for additional depth at center. Al Horford remains the best choice for fantasy managers, but Kornet will have streaming value when Horford is given a night off. Rotoworld Today, 3:03 pm
    • Commits to Clips for two years
Harden agreed Sunday with the Clippers on a two-year, $70 million contract, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Harden and the Clippers came to agreement on a new deal just minutes before NBA free agency officially began, though the contract won't become official until at least Saturday. In any case, the 34-year-old point guard is locked in for two more seasons with LA, coming off an inaugural season with the Clippers in which he averaged his fewest points per game (16.6) since 2010-11, but still posted strong marks in just about every other category (8.5 assists, 5.1 rebounds, 2.6 three-pointers, 1.1 steals and 0.8 blocks). With Paul George hitting the open market and not expected to return to the Clippers, Harden will likely shoulder more of the offensive load in 2024-25 alongside Kawhi Leonard (knee). • James Harden to return to LAC on two-year deal
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that James Harden will sign a two-year, $70 million deal to return to the Clippers.

Advice: Harden enjoyed a productive first season with the Clippers, finishing with averages of 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 8.5 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.6 triples. Most of those numbers were declines in last season’s production, particularly his points, but Harden still finished as an early third-rounder in fantasy hoops. His ability to stuff the stat sheet should keep him in the third-round range for 2024-25, and he could see a bump in production if Paul George leaves in free agency. Rotoworld Today, 2:56 pm
    • Cut loose by Golden State
The Warriors waived Paul on Sunday, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.

Advice: Paul's $30 million salary for 2024-25 would have been fully guaranteed had the Warriors opted to keep him on the roster until free agency officially began at 6 p.m. ET Sunday, and after no trade partner emerged for the 39-year-old point guard, Golden State opted to cut him loose. Though he career-low 9.2 points on 44.1 percent shooting from the field in 26.4 minutes per contest over his 58 appearances in 2023-24, Paul still demonstrated aptitude as a playmaker (6.8:1.3 assist-to-turnover ratio). Paul could still have plenty of appeal around the league as a stopgap solution at point guard, though at this stage of his career, he's more ideally suited for a sub-30-minute starting role or as a lead guard off the bench. • Chris Paul to be waived by GSW, enter free agency
Chris Haynes of TNT reports that the Warriors will waive Chris Paul, and he will enter free agency.

Advice: Paul and the Warriors agreed to push back the guarantee date on his 2024-25 $30 million salary to search for a trade partner, but no deal emerged. Paul is past his prime, but he should still draw plenty of interest due to his high basketball IQ, elite passing and veteran leadership. Rotoworld Today, 2:46 pm
