    • Randy Foye (quad) out again on Sunday
Randy Foye (quad) was inactive for Sunday's game vs. the Raptors.

Advice: Foye had been targeting a late-December return, but could only meet that timeline by playing on Dec. 30 vs. the Lakers, the first of the Nuggets' three games in Week 10. The Nuggets' backcourt is too deep for Foye to be worth plucking off the waiver wire in standard formats. Rotoworld.com

    • Ty Lawson scores 28 points with seven assists
Ty Lawson scored 28 points with seven assists in a loss to the Raptors on Sunday, adding five boards, one steal and one 3-pointer in 40 minutes.

Advice: He shot 9-of-17 from the field and didn't turn the ball over, but didn't get enough help from his teammates to mount a comeback. As long as Lawson can stave off injury he is going to be fantastic the rest of the way for Denver. Rotoworld.com

    • Wilson Chandler double-doubles on Sunday
Wilson Chandler double-doubled on Sunday vs. the Raptors, finishing with 20 points, 10 boards, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 41 minutes.

Advice: He has been playing big minutes with Danilo Gallinari (knee) on the sidelines, and has been one of the most reliable players for Denver this season. Chandler has seen his name appear in several trade rumors recently which would undoubtedly hurt his fantasy value, but nothing is imminent right now and his owners shouldn't be too concerned. Chandler is worth owning in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jeremy Lin bounces back w/ 19 points Sunday
Jeremy Lin bounced back from a pair of lousy games on Sunday, coming off the bench for 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting, two 3-pointers, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks.

Advice: He turned the ball over twice and committed five fouls in just 26 minutes, but those are minor complaints given his sketchy play since being benched in favor of Ronnie Price (10 points in 22 minutes). Lin is flirting with 12-team value on a season-long basis but he's been much worse over the past month, and remains a hit-or-miss option as L.A.'s backup point guard. Rotoworld.com

    • Gerald Green held to single-digits Sunday
Gerald Green scored eight points on 2-of-10 shooting on Sunday, marking the first time all season that he's been held to single-digit scoring in two consecutive games.

Advice: This was even more unexpected against the Lakers, who allow the most points (109.0) and second-most 3-pointers (9.0) of any team in the NBA. Green's two makes were both from downtown and he chipped in two rebounds, two assists and one block to salvage some value, and he's locked into late-round fantasy value while playing 20-25 minutes as a key reserve in Phoenix. • Eric Bledsoe flirts w/ triple-double vs. LAK
Eric Bledsoe flirted with a triple-double vs. the Lakers on Sunday, notching 22 points, one 3-pointer, eight rebounds, eight assists, four steals and one block in the Suns' road win.

Advice: Bledsoe's 3.2 turnovers take a toll in 9-cat leagues, and his 43.8 percent shooting could use improvement, but otherwise his fantasy owners have nothing to complain about. He's averaging 15.9 points, 1.0 threes, 5.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.7 blocks, while making 84.0 percent of his 5.0 free throw attempts per game. Rotoworld.com

    • Wayne Ellington back to reserve role Sunday
Wayne Ellington's role shriveled with Kobe Bryant back in action on Sunday, as he came off the Lakers' bench for just two points, two rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes.

Advice: He averaged 12.0 points, 1.7 threes, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals as a starter over the past three games, but predictably fell off a cliff with Kobe back in action. Anyone who picked up Ellington should cut him for a free agent with a more promising outlook. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant defers to LAK teammates in return
Kobe Bryant (rest) returned to action on Sunday with 10 points (4-of-10 shooting), eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and five turnovers in 32 minutes during the Lakers' 107-116 loss to the Suns.

Advice: The Black Mamba had missed three straight games to rest his fatigued body, and he spent most of Sunday's game looking for teammates rather than dominating the ball as he had during his first 24 games this season (attempting 22.4 shots per game). The Lakers have no playoff aspirations and they'll be cautious with him the rest of the season -- fantasy owners should plug him into all active lineups while routinely checking his status before games. • Nick Young scores 21 points w/ Kobe active
Nick Young scored 21 points with Kobe Bryant back in the Lakers' lineup on Sunday, hitting four 3-pointers with a pair of assists in 25 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Young struggled over the past three games, averaging 11.0 points on 31.4 percent shooting, and admitted that he much prefers to have Kobe active since he deflects defensive pressure away from his teammates. Young's prolific scoring has been good enough for mid-round value in 25 minutes per game this season, though his 2.9 three-pointers per game may be a bit unrealistic on a season-long basis. • Lou Williams drops 31 points in win Sunday
Lou Williams scored 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting in a win over the Nuggets on Saturday, adding five boards, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: He broke out of his slump in a big way, and was unstoppable all game long. Williams has been an obvious candidate for Sixth Man of the Year, and he should continue to be owned in standard leagues for his ability to contribute in 3-pointers, points, assists, and steals. Rotoworld.com

    • Wesley Matthews w/ 28 points, six 3-pointers
Wesley Matthews tied his season-high with 28 points in Sunday's win vs. the Knicks, making 10-of-21 field goals including a 6-of-15 mark from beyond the arc.

Advice: Matthews leads the NBA in 3-pointers made, having overtaken Kyle Korver, and his proficiency from the perimeter is the key to his top-50 fantasy appeal. The Knicks allow the third-most 3-pointers to their opponents this season (9.0 per game) and they are devastated by injuries, so it was no surprise to watch Matthews and his Blazers teammates tee off against them on Sunday. • Nicolas Batum (wrist) nets season-high 17 pts
Nicolas Batum made 6-of-8 shots with five 3-pointers on Sunday, finishing with a season-high 17 points, one rebound, three assists, one steal and one block in only 28 minutes.

Advice: The fact that this was Batum's season-high in scoring is a testament to his struggles, as he's averaging the lowest numbers since his rookie season in points (8.8), 3-pointers (1.0), field goal percentage (38.9 percent) and Player Efficiency Rating (12.3). Batum's top-20 fantasy upside makes him an interesting buy-low candidate despite his early-season struggles. Rotoworld.com

    • Damian Lillard plays in 196th straight game
Damian Lillard played in his 196th consecutive game on Sunday, finishing an easy win vs. the Knicks with 11 points, two 3-pointers, four rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Advice: In the process, Lillard tied Buck Williams for the third-longest consecutive games streak in Blazers' franchise history. It's a terrific accomplishment under any circumstances, and even more impressive given his enormous workload as the engine of the Blazers' offense. His durability is worth remembering when next year's fantasy drafts occur in the fall. Rotoworld.com

    • Jose Calderon struggles in lopsided road loss
Jose Calderon struggled in 28 minutes vs. the Blazers on Sunday, shooting 2-of-11 to finish with six points, one 3-pointer, six rebounds and one assist.

Advice: He was heating up throughout mid-December, but has now scored single-digit points in consecutive games and can't seem to maintain any momentum in the Knicks' fractured offense. Calderon has too much upside to cut outright and he could play a bigger role if Carmelo Anthony (knee) misses any time, so we'll give him a pass for tonight's disappointing showing. Rotoworld.com

    • Monta Ellis (ankle) vows to play on Tuesday
Monta Ellis missed the end of Sunday's game after tweaking his left ankle, but he intends to play vs. the Wizards on Tuesday.

Advice: "I'm not missing [any] games," Ellis said after the game. "I'll go home and take care of what I need to take care of." The injury didn't look serious and Monta is one of the toughest players in the NBA, so there's every reason to think he'll be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game. We'll include him on the injury report as a precaution, however, and owners should double-check his status in the coming days. Rotoworld.com

    • Raymond Felton (ankle) debuts w/ zero stats
Raymond Felton (ankle) was on the Mavericks' active list for the first time all season on Sunday, but he failed to record any statistics in one minute of action.

Advice: Mavs coach Rick Carlisle was clearly unimpressed during Felton's brief stint, during which he racked up a +/- rating of -5. He may have stayed on the inactive list if the Mavs weren't deploying a small lineup in Tyson Chandler's absence, and there's simply no reason to touch him in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Westbrook flirts w/ inefficient triple-double
The Thunder fell in Dallas on Sunday despite Russell Westbrook's near triple-double of 18 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and five steals.

Advice: It wasn't all good news for Westbrook, as he shot 6-of-23 from the field and 6-of-9 at the free throw line, while combining with Reggie Jackson (21 points, three assists) for 11 turnovers. WB's fantasy owners will happily take the good with the bad, as he remains a top-8 fantasy option even when you include his brutal 3.9 turnovers per game. Rotoworld.com

    • Trevor Ariza held to seven pts on 2-of-9 FGs
Trevor Ariza logged 37 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Spurs, making 2-of-9 shots to finish with only seven points, three rebounds and two assists.

Advice: He made one 3-pointer and chipped in three assists to scrape together some fantasy value, and one off game would be nothing for his fantasy owners to fret about. Of much greater concern is the fact that Ariza's shooting slump extends back to Nov. 12, the last time he made at least half of his shots in a game -- in the 21 games since then, he's a combined 89-of-273 from the field (32.6 percent). Landry Fields (concussion) will not play on Sunday vs. Denver.

Advice: This will be his fourth straight game on the sidelines, and he has still not passed his concussion testing. Kobe Bryant (soreness) will return to the starting lineup for Sunday's game vs. the Suns.

Advice: Bryant's return to action will send Wayne Ellington back to the bench, and take away some touches from Carlos Boozer. Kobe will be limited to 30 minutes tonight, but that's plenty of time for him to put up stats in an up-tempo game with Phoenix. He's obviously a must-start option every time he's in uniform, so go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com

J.R. Smith (heel) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. Portland.

Advice: He has had some tough luck with plantar fasciitis and has now missed nine straight games so don't be surprised if he sits this one out. Owners in standard leagues can continue to ignore Smith while Tim Hardaway Jr. is definitely worth a look in all leagues. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young eager to have Kobe Bryant back
Nick Young is eager to have Kobe Bryant back in the lineup in order to ease the pressure on himself.

Advice: "We’re always going to need Kobe out there on the floor, especially for players like me," said Young. "That releases a lot of pressure." Swaggy P has averaged just 11 points per game with Bryant out of the lineup over the last three games, so his impending return may actually help Young get better looks. Bryant is probable to play on Sunday, meaning Young's minutes could take a slight dip, though his ability to fill up the scoreboard in a hurry makes him worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

Jared Dudley scored nine points with five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes against the Hawks on Saturday.

Advice: He had nowhere to go but down after his 10-of-10 from the field on Friday. Dudley is probably the most consistent wing besides Giannis Antetokounmpo, so he's at least worth a look for owners needing points and treys. Rotoworld.com

Tony Wroten scored 20 points on Saturday to go with six boards and two steals in 32 minutes.

Advice: He has had some tough luck with injuries this season, but when he has been healthy he has looked really strong on the court. While you can probably do better in standard leagues for now, if Michael Carter-Williams ever suffers an injury Wroten will become a must-start option in all points-based formats. Rotoworld.com

George Hill scored 12 points with six rebounds, five assists and two 3-pointers against the Nets on Saturday.

Advice: He did have a bad fall and was limping for a bit, but there's no reason to be worried. Advice: He only made 3-of-10 from the field in his last game on Monday. Kobe Bryant (soreness) is listed as probable to play against the Suns on Sunday.

Advice: This arguably goes down as one of the craziest performances in the NBA this season, and if you played Jared Dudley in daily leagues you were more than likely handsomely rewarded. Wesley Matthews hit seven 3-points in the Blazers' 114-93 win over the Sixers on Friday.

Advice: Matthews finished with 25 points on 9-of-18 shooting to go with a steal in an easy win. He's been a top-50 play this season and is hitting just under three treys per game. Damian Lillard also took advantage of the matchup with 28 points, three treys, five boards, nine assists and a 7-of-7 mark from the line, but Terry Stotts will probably grill him over the seven turnovers against a bad opponent. Nicolas Batum (wrist) returned to action in Friday's win over the Sixers, scoring 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Advice: Batum had his number called more often with LaMarcus Aldridge out and we're in the midst of a pretty big buy low window for him. As long as the wrist injury isn't serious, he stands a very good chance of improving his rock bottom shooting percentages. Rotoworld.com

Tony Wroten scored 22 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 7-of-13 shots (1-of-4 3PTs, 7-of-9 FTs) with four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 27 minutes.

Advice: Wroten won't shoot it this well on most nights and he has had a hard time staying on the court. He could be worth a look in 8-cat leagues but the emergence of K.J. Nick Young hit 5-of-8 threes but missed his other eight shots from the field, finishing with 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Young is never going to be an efficiency monster and he has done enough recently to be owned in most formats. In 20 games this season, he is averaging 14.9 points with 2.5 treys and 1.2 combined steals and blocks while hitting 40 percent from the field and 89 percent from the line -- good for top 75-110 value in 8- and 9-cat formats, respectively. Jeremy Lin scored five points on 2-of-8 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, seven assists, one steal and three blocks in 22 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Lin has top 120-150 (8/9 cat) value in a season dominated by Kobe Bryant, which may be changing a bit to favor the little guys now that Kobe has been forced to look at his own role in the Lakers' disaster. Advice: Dudley logged 24 minutes off the bench and this has fluke written all over it. The Bucks just had a players only meeting and perhaps that boosted the veterans tonight, but the best we can say about Dudley is that he's worth a look. Advice: He came off the bench again, but we'd guess he'll be in the starting lineup on Saturday. Hill shouldn't be sitting on any waiver wires right now. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum (wrist) will play against Philly
Nicolas Batum (wrist) will play against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: He might not be looking for his shot due to the pain in his wrist, but Batum isn't a high volume scorer anyway. His fantasy owners can plug him back into their lineups in this favorable matchup. Allen Crabbe will likely move back to the bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Raymond Felton (ankle) out on Friday
Raymond Felton (ankle) will not play on Friday against the Lakers.

Advice: He's not in the rotation. It's a good thing the Mavericks received one of the best centers in the NBA in a trade with the Knicks or else they might care about Felton missing time. Rotoworld.com

George Hill will come off the bench again on Friday against the Pistons.

    • Kobe Bryant (soreness) out Friday vs. Mavs
Kobe Bryant (general soreness) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Mavs, but coach Byron Scott likes Kobe's chances of playing Sunday vs. the Suns.

Advice: Kobe was doubtful heading into this one, so this news shouldn't come as a surprise. "I just need to kind of hit the reset button," said Bryant. "What happens is my body realizes how messed up it is. Then everything starts hurting. It’s an opportunity to treat everything." While Kobe is sidelined, Nick Young, Wes Johnson, Wayne Ellington, and Carlos Boozer will all see some increased opportunity on offense. Rotoworld.com

Monta Ellis (illness) is a go for Friday's game vs. the Lakers.

    • Kobe Bryant listed as questionable for Friday
Kobe Bryant is listed as questionable for Friday against the Mavericks.

    • Tony Wroten (knee) will play against Portland
Tony Wroten (knee) will play against the Blazers on Friday.

Advice: He has been dealing with a sprained knee basically since Michael Carter-Williams returned to the lineup. Wroten should be busy tonight with Hollis Thompson (illness) out. He's not a great guy in standard leagues, but he's an option in daily points leagues tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum, Aldridge are questionable
Nicolas Batum (wrist) and LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) are questionable to play against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: Considering the matchup and how much Batum has struggled with his shot, he's probably a little closer to doubtful tonight. He did not play on Tuesday and it was mostly Allen Crabbe getting some extra run. Coach Terry Stotts plays the matchups a lot, so Crabbe is still an extremely risky play. Rotoworld.com

    • Monta Ellis (illness) questionable for Friday
Monta Ellis (illness) was not at shootaround, and his status for Friday's game vs. the Lakers has yet to be determined.

Advice: Ellis is one of the toughest guys in the league, and hasn't missed a game for the past two seasons, so he'd have to be in really bad shape to miss this one. However, if he is forced to sit, Devin Harris, and J.J. Barea would be the primary beneficiaries. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant (soreness) unlikely for Friday
Kobe Bryant said both of his Achilles are sore, and his chances to play Friday night vs. the Mavs are "slim."

Advice: Wayne Ellington, Nick Young, Wes Johnson, and Carlos Boozer will all be given more offensive responsibilities with Bryant on the sidelines. Nick Young has been struggling lately sans Kobe, going 6-of-19 from the field through his past two outings, so he makes for a risky option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Miles chosing his spots more carefully
After struggling mightily from the field through the month of November, C.J. Miles has made an effort to choose his shots more wisely during the month of December.

Advice: "We wanted him to be assertive. He has the green light, but we want him to be selective in his shots," said Pacers' head coach Frank Vogel. "I was encouraging him to be so assertive that he was not great with shot selection. I think he's being smarter about that now." Miles is averaging 15.5 points and 2.4 three-pointers per game on 42.4 percent shooting from the field during the month of December, and he'll be worth owning in standard leagues as long as he can keep up his current pace. • Kobe Bryant could sit out for a week?
Coach Bryon Scott told Wayne Ellington and the Lakers that "it could be a week" before Kobe Bryant returns to a game action.

Advice: This is another weird story and Bryant was probable for Thursday, so Scott basically pulled a coach Tom Thibodeau here. Bryant said before the game that he's just feeling old, which is not a surprise because he's struggled so much considering how much he's carrying his team. His fantasy owners should bench him for now. Wes Johnson is worth a look in all leagues while Wayne Ellington could play more in the starting lineup. Rotoworld.com

    • Jeremy Lin takes a step back on Thursday
Jeremy Lin scored six points with one rebound, two assists and two steals on 2-of-8 from the field against the Bulls on Thursday.

Advice: He had a nice game on Tuesday, but couldn't get anything going tonight. Over his last 13 games, Lin has averaged just 7.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.6 turnovers and 0.7 triples on 32.7 percent from the field. That's not going to get it done for fantasy owners in standard leagues, so his owners should have their eyes peeled for a pickup. Rotoworld.com

    • Wayne Ellington scores 12 in start again
Wayne Ellington scored 12 points in a start for Kobe Bryant on Thursday with two rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes against the Bulls.

Advice: He basically grabbed all of Kobe's minutes tonight and scored 12 for the second consecutive game. Ellington is a solid shooter and the Lakers could use his range, so he'll be worth a plug-and-play on the nights Kobe sits. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young doesn't play well on Christmas
Nick Young made 1-of-6 from the field for three points with one rebound, two assists and one 3-pointer on Thursday against the Bulls.

Advice: Well, at least his girlfriend bought him an Impala for Christmas. Young is just 6-of-19 in his two games without Kobe Bryant (rest), so he's been a bit of a letdown. He's been in the top 60 for fantasy value over the previous two weeks, so he'll be worth owning in standard leagues thanks to his 2.4 triples over that span. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 7:36 pm
    • Wayne Ellington starting again for Lakers
Wayne Ellington will start at shooting guard for the Lakers on Thursday, as Kobe Bryant will miss another game in order to rest his sore body.

Advice: Ellington had 12 points, five boards, a steal and two 3-pointers in a start on Tuesday, and should offer more of the same tonight and Friday. Kobe's not expected to play on Friday, either, but should be ready to return shortly after that. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 4:33 pm
    • Kobe Bryant (rest) will not play on Christmas
Head coach Byron Scott said that Kobe Bryant is dealing with some "overall soreness," and he will not suit up for the Lakers' Christmas Day game vs. the Bulls, while Kobe says there's only a "slim" chance he'll play on Friday vs. Dallas.

Advice: Bryant was listed as probable for this one, so it is surprising to see Scott suddenly pull the plug. Expect Wayne Ellington, Wes Johnson, Nick Young, and Carlos Boozer to see some increased opportunity on offense, with Young offering the most upside. Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook dominant in Thunder win
Russell Westbrook looked dominant during the Thunder's Christmas Day win over the Spurs, scoring 34 points on 14-of-28 shooting (6-of-8 from the line) to go with 11 assists, five rebounds, a season-high five steals, and four turnovers.

Advice: Westbrook was aggressive all game long, and he has definitely entered the conversation as an MVP candidate with averages of 28.2 points, 7.1 assists, 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 three-pointer per game. His 3.8 turnovers per game are unfortunate, but given the elite value he bumps into all the surrounding categories, it's easy to forgive the miscues. Rotoworld.com

Jose Calderon scored 16 points on 5-of-14 shooting to go with four rebounds, four assists, and two 3-pointers during the Knicks' Christmas Day loss to the Wizards.

Advice: Calderon looks to finally be turning the corner after a rough start to the season, and is averaging 16.0 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 three-pointers over the past week. He doesn't have much competition for minutes, so he should be able to maintain his current pace. Rotoworld.com

J.R. Smith (heel) will miss Thursday's game against the Wizards.

Advice: Updating a previous item, it seems as if Smith is feeling well enough to be upgraded from doubtful to a game-time decision. This one looks like it will come down to the wire, but Tim Hardaway Jr. would be the biggest fantasy beneficiary if Smith sits. Rotoworld.com

"Right now it’s a no," Smith said of his availability for Thursday. "We’ll see how the treatment reacts today, if it swells up." • Nuggets receive inquiries on Wilson Chandler
The Nuggets have received trade inquiries on Wilson Chandler, but would like to keep him in Denver, according to Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post.

Advice: Dempsey reports that the Nuggets have received trade inquiries from a few teams, but would prefer to hold onto Chandler. The Nuggets may entertain those inquiries if they slip in the standings over the next few weeks as Chandler is having the best season of his career and could fetch a handsome return. With season averages of 14.0 points, 6.0 boards, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.4 blocks, and 2.2 three-pointers, Chandler is worth owning in all standard fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • J.R. Smith (heel) says he's doubtful Thursday
J.R. Smith (heel) said that he is unlikely to play on Christmas vs. the Wizards.

    • Kobe Bryant will have his minutes monitored
Kobe Bryant will have his minutes monitored on a game-by-game basis moving forward according to coach Byron Scott.

Advice: "It might be something I have to do periodically along with trying to get the minutes down," Scott said. "Sometimes I’ll have to give him days off as well as games off." While Bryant is fully expected to play on Christmas, it may be wise to sell-high on the Mamba with this news because there would be no reason to risk his health in a lost season for the Lakers. Nick Young and Wes Johnson would see their value rise whenever Bryant chooses to rest so plan accordingly. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant will play vs. Bulls on Christmas
Kobe Bryant (rest) will play on Christmas Day vs. the Bulls, as expected.

Advice: Did anyone doubt that he'd suit up for this one? Bryant sat out Tuesday's game to get some much needed rest so he should be ready to put on a show against the Bulls. Get the Black Mamba in all active lineups and expect Wayne Ellington to shift back to the bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Wayne Ellington starts for Kobe Bryant (rest)
Wayne Ellington filled in at SG for Kobe Bryant (rest) on Tuesday, scoring 12 points with two 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 25 minutes of action.

Advice: Much will be made of the Lakers' success without Kobe dominating the offense, but the Black Mamba will only relinquish control during the handful of games he sits out for rest. Ellington is only worth a look as a deep-league source of scoring and 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 10:31 pm
    • Nick Young scores 15 points w/ rare full line
Nick Young contributed across the board in Tuesday's upset win vs. Golden State, coming off the bench for 15 points, two 3-pointers, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

Advice: He logged 30 minutes for the second straight game and should thrive whenever Kobe Bryant (rest) isn't in the Lakers' lineup, though he's been good enough to start under any circumstances. He has a total of 11 assists and 11 steals in 17 games this season, while shooting 41.5 percent from the field, so don't expect more than voluminous points (15.6) and 3-pointers (2.4). Rotoworld.com

    • Jeremy Lin plays well in Lakers win Tuesday
Jeremy Lin had a solid game on Tuesday in a win over the Warriors, finishing with 11 points, five assists, one board, three steals and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

Advice: Kobe Bryant was rested on Tuesday, so Lin got another chance to impress in extended minutes off of the bench. He has had a tough season in Los Angeles, but if the Lakers continue to fall behind in the Western Conference it wouldn't be surprising to see Lin's minutes trend upwards as Bryant's spiral down. • Gerald Green drops 22 points off of bench
Gerald Green dropped 22 points in 23 minutes on Tuesday vs. Dallas, adding one assist, one board, one steal and six 3-pointers.

Advice: He continues to be one of the streakiest shooters in the league, but when he is feeling it he can put on quite a show. Green shot 7-of-13 from the field and a ridiculous 6-of-9 from 3-point range as the Suns opted to use a smaller lineup down the stretch. Green has been able to hold his value pretty well with limited minutes, but if owners are patient they will be rewarded with big games like these occasionally. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Bledsoe triple-doubles in win vs. Dallas
Eric Bledsoe notched his second triple-double of the season in a win over Dallas on Tuesday, finishing with 16 points, 11 assists, 10 boards, three steals and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

Advice: He did shoot just 6-of-19 from the field and turned the ball over three times, but his owners have to be thrilled with this line. Bledsoe's rebounding has really improved over his last three games, and he has been able to snag 29 boards over that span. He will look to continue his torrid pace against the Kings on Friday. • Damian Lillard dominant w/ 40 pts, eight 3s
Damian Lillard carried Portland with 40 points, a career-high eight 3-pointers, six rebounds and 11 assists on Tuesday, helping the Blazers win in overtime in Oklahoma City.

Advice: Lillard is the only player in the NBA to record at least 40/11/6 in a game this season and he continues to get better, to the delight of his fortunate fantasy owners. He was 11-of-21 from the field (including 8-of-12 from deep) and 10-of-11 from the FT line, with two steals and only two turnovers in 46 minutes. This is an early favorite for fantasy line of the year, and Lillard has quickly established himself as a top-10 fantasy player in all formats. Rotoworld.com

Russell Westbrook poured in a season-high 40 points in a losing effort on Tuesday, hitting 16-of-34 FGs and 7-of-9 FTs with one 3-pointer, 10 rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Advice: Westbrook played Superman for the evening with Kevin Durant (ankle) sidelined again, and he racked up those gaudy numbers with only two turnovers before fouling out after 39 minutes. He's locked into first-round value and won't budge as long as he's healthy. Rotoworld.com

    • Ty Lawson scores 29 points in tough defeat
Ty Lawson made 10-of-20 shots with four 3-pointers on Tuesday, finishing a tough loss in Brooklyn with 29 points, four boards, nine assists and four turnovers.

Advice: He logged 42 minutes and didn't seem at all bothered by his recent back injury. He's averaging 39+ minutes in December and has just one DNP all season, back in early November, though his fantasy value has fallen compared to last season due to decreased scoring (15.3 points) and poor shooting (40.5 percent). Advice: This was an unexpectedly fast start for Hill, who must regain his conditioning while adjusting to new teammates and a new role, and he has enough upside to be labeled 'must own' in standard fantasy leagues. • Tony Wroten has sprained knee, out Tuesday
Tony Wroten has a sprained right knee, and will not play on Tuesday.

Advice: This injury came out of nowhere, and it leaves the 76ers with just eight active players for their game vs. the Heat. We will pass along updates as soon as we know more, but given the cautious nature of the 76ers Wroten may see some additional time on the sidelines. K.J. • George Hill will play nine minutes each half
Pacers' head coach Frank Vogel is going to try and play George Hill nine minutes during each half for Tuesday's game vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Vogel also said that there will be no lingering injury concerns, just issues with conditioning, rhythm, and timing. Hill is going to be brought along slowly, but he's eventually going to be a primary fixture in the Pacers' offense, and should be owned in all leagues. C.J. Trevor Ariza scored seven points with six rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes on Monday.

Advice: He's really cold right now and the timing couldn't be worse. Over his last 11 games, Ariza has made just 32.3 percent from the field with 2.0 turnovers and his fantasy value is bottoming out. With Corey Brewer going off tonight, it's worth seeing if his current fantasy owners is panicking. Ariza should be a mid-round guy this season. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum has a quiet game vs. Rockets
Nicolas Batum had a quiet night against the Rockets on Monday with two points, two rebounds, three assists and one turnover.

Advice: He's just not taking shots right now and only had three attempts tonight. Batum posted a usage rate of just 10.5 over his last two games, which dropped his season usage rate to just 14.4 -- the second-lowest usage rate among players with at least 34 minutes per game (DeAndre Jordan). His fantasy value is near its low point. Rotoworld.com

Damian Lillard made just 6-of-16 from the field for 18 points with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and six turnovers against the Rockets on Monday.

Advice: Two words: Patrick Beverley. It's just his second game without a three all year and Lillard finally cooled off after three consecutive games of shooting at least 50 percent from the field. Lillard is rolling and Tuesday's game against the Thunder is must-see TV. Rotoworld.com

    • Ty Lawson (back) plays well OK in a bad loss
Ty Lawson (back) scored 18 points with four assists, four turnovers and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes during a 110-92 loss on Monday.

Advice: He was roasted on defense, but it might have been due to his sore back. Lawson was a game-time decision and it was announced he was good to go about 90 minutes before tip, so he has a good chance to play on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com

Lawson's bigger issue has been his ankle and he hasn't had too many back issues in his career, so his fantasy owners can throw him into their lineups. If something goes wrong, Nate Robinson would get more run. Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook will take less treys?
Russell Westbrook said he might take less 3-pointers this season.

Advice: "Yeah, but I'm still missing a lot of them," Westbrook said. "I honestly need to stop taking as many as I'm taking to tell you the truth. I'm gonna take those down as the season goes along." He has never really been an elite shooter at just 39.4 percent from beyond the arc, but the threat of him shooting treys makes him a deadly scorer. Whatever he does, he's going to dominate on the stat sheet. Rotoworld.com

    • George Hill (knee) could make debut Tuesday
George Hill (knee) has been upgraded to questionable against the Pelicans on Tuesday, and he could make his season debut.

Advice: Hill's knee has responded well, and now he just has to get his conditioning together in order to make his season debut. At this point, Hill should not be on the waiver wire in any format, and if he is, make sure to scoop him up immediately as the Pacers sorely need everything he brings on offense. He'll be tasked with playing as large of a role as he can handle. CJ Watson and Donald Sloan will be pushed into their usual reserve roles when Hill returns. Rotoworld.com

    • Ariza added to injury report w/ sore calf
Trevor Ariza (sore left calf) is probable to play on Monday vs. the Blazers.

Advice: A late addition to the injury report, Ariza's calf is not considered a major issue. The Rockets can't afford any more injuries to anyone right now, and Ariza would be an especially difficult player to replace if he were forced to miss any time. Rotoworld.com

    • Ty Lawson (back) now for game-time decision
Ty Lawson (back) is a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: Lawson appearing as a game-time call is certainly a surprise, and Nate Robinson would draw the start at point guard if Lawson is unable to suit up. Owners will need to check back for an update prior to tipoff as it sounds like the call will be made shortly before tipoff. Rotoworld.com

    • JR Smith more than just 'day-to-day w/ foot
JR Smith (foot) could be facing more than just a "day-to-day" situation.

Advice: Derek Fisher said Smith "may not have been day-to-day," but the Knicks listed him that way anyway on the medical report. Fisher then attempted to clarify with the following: "I think it's day-to-day. From the beginning, it may not have been day-to-day. It was probably going to be a few weeks or so." It's not clear when Smith might actually return yet, and Tim Hardaway, Jr. will continue seeing increased minutes with Iman Shumpert (shoulder) also out. Rotoworld.com

    • Jeremy Lin plays just 21 minutes off of bench
Jeremy Lin played just 21 minutes off the bench on Sunday vs. the Kings, ending the game with four points, five assists and three boards.

Advice: Coach Byron Scott is sticking to his plan of keeping Ronnie Price in the starting lineup for now, and Lin's value continues to plummet. Lin may redeem himself later on if the Lakers opt to rest Kobe Bryant down the stretch, but for now owners in standard leagues should look for another option. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young buries four 3-pointers, scores 26
Nick Young hit four 3-pointers in Sunday's loss to the Kings, which he finished with 26 points, five boards, one assist and two steals in 30 minutes.

Advice: He was in danger of missing this game after his altercation with Steven Adams on Friday, so his owners have to be thrilled with this result. Swaggy P has been phenomenal all season, and with rumors going around that Kobe Bryant may be rested, Young's value is only going to get higher as the season progresses. Rotoworld.com

    • C.J. Miles drops 28 pts with four 3-pointers
The Pacers escaped with a win in Minnesota on Sunday thanks to C.J. Miles scoring 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including four 3-pointers.

Advice: Miles did his damage in 32 minutes off Indiana's bench, chipping in six rebounds with zero turnovers, assists, steals or blocks. He's been tremendous since returning to action on Dec. 15, and is worth a pickup based on his averages over the past four games -- 20.5 points, 2.7 threes, 4.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 turnovers. • Russell Westbrook drops 29 points in loss
Russell Westbrook dropped 29 points on 10-of-27 shooting in Sunday's loss to the Pelicans, adding eight assists, five boards and three steals in 35 minutes.

Advice: He was criticized for not passing the ball enough during Sunday's loss, but it's tough to blame him given how well he has played this season. "When we won eight in a row nobody said nothing about not passing," Westbrook said, "so I don't want to hear it now." He's been playing at an MVP level and has earned the right to shoot at will, especially with Kevin Durant (ankle) sidelined. Expect Westbrook to answer his critics and take out his frustration against Portland on Tuesday. Rotoworld.com

    • Gerald Green scores 13 points in 18 minutes
Gerald Green played just 18 minutes on Sunday, but still managed to score 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting while adding four boards and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He is going to be a hit-or-miss option every night, but he has shown that he has the ability to produce in limited minutes. However, unless his role grows he will be a tough player to own in standard formats. He is still worth a look for owners in need of 3-pointers and scoring, though. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Bledsoe leads Suns to win on Sunday
Eric Bledsoe led the Suns to a win over the Wizards on Sunday, finishing with 17 points, nine boards, three assists, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.

Advice: He had 25 points with 10 rebounds on Saturday, so hopefully he can keep rebounding and scoring at a high rate. Bledsoe probably won't see more than 30 minutes most nights as long as Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas are healthy, but Bledsoe should continue to be an elite asset moving forward. Rotoworld.com

    • Lou Williams lights up the Knicks on Sunday
Lou Williams lit up the Knicks on Sunday for 22 points (6-of-14 shooting) to go with four 3-pointers, two rebounds, one assist, and a steal.

Advice: This is what Lou does. He doesn't offer much peripheral stats, but if you're looking for some points, treys, and a free throw percentage booster, he's your guy. He's averaging 14.4 points and 1.8 three-pointers this season while shooting 41.8 percent from the field and 86.4 percent from the charity stripe (on 4.4 attempts per game). He's certainly in the running for Sixth Man of the Year. Rotoworld.com

    • Jose Calderon goes for 15 & 10 vs. Toronto
Jose Calderon put up 15 points and 10 assists against his former team on Sunday, while adding one 3-pointer, three rebounds, and two turnovers.

Advice: Calderon is averaging just 8.5 points, 3.9 assists, and 1.5 three-pointers per game this season over 30 minutes of action. However, his numbers have been trending up lately, and he's scored 15, 21, and 12 points in his last three outings. He remains a buy-low candidate, but with New York being the mess that they are, there are no guarantees he turns things around. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young will play Sunday vs. Sacramento
Nick Young will not be suspended for his flagrant 2 foul on Steve Adams during Friday's game, and he will suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Kings.

    • Landry Fields (concussion) out on Sunday
Landry Fields (concussion) is out for Sunday's game against the Knicks.

    • Jared Dudley scores 16 points vs. Clippers
Jared Dudley excelled against his former team on Saturday with 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes.

Advice: That's back-to-back good games from Dudley and he's passed Khris Middleton as the waiver-wire add du jour. Dudley's done a fair amount of ball handling to go with his perimeter shooting, so there is enough upside to at least give him a look. That said, trusting coach Jason Kidd's rotation is like trusting a dingo to look after your baby. Rotoworld.com

    • Wilson Chandler scores four points
Wilson Chandler could not get it going against the Pacers on Saturday with four points, three rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He made 1-of-10 from the field and is in a mini-slump from beyond the arc, making just three of his last 15 attempts. Chandler is still getting solid minutes even with Danilo Gallinari suddenly coming on. He's still worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Too, Too Much Monta: Ellis scores 38 points
Monta Ellis dominated down the stretch against the Spurs during a 99-93 win with 38 points, one assist, four steals and five 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

Advice: It was Monta Time. He scored 11 of the last 13 points for the Mavericks, which is no surprise since he leads the NBA in field goals in the second half. Ellis has been a much better ball handler than Rajon Rondo this year and his turnover rate is his best ever while he has tremendous rapport with the rest of the starters. The Mavericks lead the NBA in offensive efficiency because of Monta, so don't expect that to change much. Rotoworld.com

    • Trevor Ariza really struggling
Trevor Ariza made 5-of-14 from the field for 13 point with three rebounds, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers against the Hawks on Saturday.

Advice: He has been struggling in his previous 10, making just 32.4 percent from the field for 14.8 points, 7.6 boards, 1.4 assists and 1.6 steals, but he is still holding decent value in fantasy because of the treys. His catch-and-shoot percentage is a far cry from last year, so maybe this is the John Wall effect. Still, Ariza is a must-start player. Also, there's no need to worry about Corey Brewer. • Jeff Taylor makes season debut in win Sat
Jeff Taylor made his season debut on Saturday, but failed to register a stat in three minutes.

    • Nicolas Batum plays 30 minutes in a win
Nicolas Batum looked healthy against the Pelicans on Saturday with 11 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals in 30 minutes.

Advice: It would have been a larger allotment of playing time, but the Blazers had this game won in the middle of the third quarter. Batum isn't quite 100 percent due to wrist and knee ailments, but he's played through plenty of issues -- an evulsion fracture to his hand last season, for example. He's a prime buy-low target. • Raymond Felton likely out until Christmas
Coach Rick Carlisle doesn't think Raymond Felton (ankle) will be back before Christmas.

Advice: The Mavericks just landed Rajon Rondo, and already have two solid point guards off of the bench in Devin Harris and J.J. Barea. Felton belongs on the waiver wire in almost all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum still active for Saturday
Nicolas Batum, who intends on playing Saturday, was in pain and grimacing due to a sore wrist in pre-game warmups.

Advice: He's on the active list and all signs are pointing to him playing, but either way, he'll likely be limited by his wrist and knee, so it would be wise to look in another direction in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Bledsoe scores 25 points in win at MSG
Eric Bledsoe was terrific against the Knicks during a 99-90 win on Saturday with 25 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes.

Advice: He carved up the Knicks and they didn't have anyone to cover him. Bledsoe has not been affected by the return of Isaiah Thomas, averaging 15.8 points, 4.8 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.6 blocks and 0.8 triples. He can be viewed as a top-10 fantasy shooting guard. Rotoworld.com

    • Jose Calderon scores 21 points vs. Suns
Jose Calderon matched his season high of 21 points against the Suns on Saturday with five rebounds, three assists and five 3-pointers.

Advice: Finally. Calderon didn't make more than one triple in any of his previous five games and he didn't make above 47 percent from the field in any of those games either. The Knicks should give him more triples these days, so his owners can probably expect him to get it going in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Landry Fields practices, cleared of concussion
Landry Fields was cleared for a concussion and was at practice on Saturday.

    • Nick Young not happy with Steven Adams
Nick Young was visibly upset after being ejected in the second half of Friday's loss to the Thunder, and is not happy with Thunder center Steven Adams.

Advice: "I got caught up in the moment, but Adams is a sneaky, dirty player," Young said. "He started talking to me the whole game, but I didn't think I was going to get ejected. I lost my mind a little bit, checked into the crazy house." Swaggy P could be looking at a suspension from the league, and if he has to miss any time Wes Johnson would see a bump in his minutes, while Wayne Ellington could also see a larger role as well. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Damian Lillard draws praise from Popovich
Damian Lillard drew high praise from Spurs coach Gregg Popovich after his career-high 43 points in the Blazers' triple-overtime win on Friday.

Advice: "Damian was unbelievable", coach Popovich said. "He was unguardable. He just took it upon himself and single-handedly did us in. He was amazing." It is rare for Pop to compliment opposing players like this, and it speaks volumes of Lillard's performance. Lillard has been a bargain for his owners this season, and has easily become an elite fantasy asset in all leagues. Keep him locked into all lineups and enjoy the show. Rotoworld.com

    • Lin gets going in loss to the Thunder
Jeremy Lin scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting with eight rebounds and five assists in 22 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Lin didn't hit a three or record a steal or block but this is a reminder that he is capable of being a fantasy asset. He's going to be inconsistent and probably a late-round guy as long as he doesn't face-plant, but if Kobe Bryant ever decides this season isn't worth blowing out the odometer then Lin could get hot real quick. Russell Westbrook scored 31 points on 9-of-22 shooting (13-of-13 FTs) with five rebounds, 10 assists and one steal in Friday's win over the Lakers.

Advice: Westbrook is producing at a top-5 level in 8-cat leagues since his return and a top-8 level in 9-cat formats. With or without Kevin Durant on the court, he could easily continue this pace and he's currently in the MVP conversation. Rotoworld.com

    • Lillard scores career-high 43 pts in 3OT win
Damian Lillard was outstanding in the Blazers' triple-overtime win in San Antonio on Friday, scoring a career-high 43 points on 16-of-29 shooting (4-of-9 3PTs, 7-of-8 FTs) with three rebounds, six assists, two steals and one block in 53 minutes.

Advice: Lillard stole the show late and his mid first-round value is a solid return on his second round ADP. LaMarcus Aldridge went for 32 and 16 with five steals, two blocks, and a three, and Wesley Matthews scored 16 points on 5-of-19 shooting with seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and two threes for the shorthanded Blazers. • Nick Young gets tossed for flagrant 2 foul
Nick Young was ejected in the second half on Friday for a flagrant 2 foul.

Advice: He elbowed Steven Adams in the throat and this was an easy call for the refs. Young could be looking at a suspension from this one, so Wes Johnson and Wayne Ellington may see more playing time on Sunday. Swaggy P finished with 11 points, two rebounds, one steal and three 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com

    • Tony Wroten scores 19 with four treys
Tony Wroten scored 19 points with one rebound, three assists, one block and four 3-pointers in 24 minutes against the Hornets on Friday.

Advice: He is going to stay on the bench with Alexey Shved no longer on the team. Wroten will have a higher usage rate when he's not next to Michael Carter-Williams and should have solid dimes, as well. He should have solid fantasy value in points leagues, but the shooting percentage and turnovers are huge negative for standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

Landry Fields received stitches to his head on Friday and will not return.

Advice: He had a scary fall and might have suffered a concussion. Fields was in the starting lineup for the Raptors, so they might need to mix it up. James Johnson replaced Fields at the time of the injury and would make the most sense. He's worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

Jeff Taylor is active to face the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: It will be his first game on the active list since being suspended for 24 games. His suspension ended on Wednesday and he was inactive. Taylor might get some run with Lance Stephenson (hip) out. He can be left on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook scores 33 points in loss
Russell Westbrook scored 33 points against the Warriors on Thursday on 11-of-30 from the field and 8-of-12 from the line, adding three rebounds, eight assists, two steals, six turnovers and three 3-pointers.

Advice: It was the Russell Westbrook Show -- a great show, by the way -- in the second half as he posted a ridiculous usage rate of 46.5 to go with an assist percentage of 27.3. Westbrook is easily of the best players in the league and all of his naysayers have decided to hide out for a while. He can stuff a stat sheet like only a few others can and should be viewed as a first-round asset in standard leagues. He might be the best player for Daily Fantasy Sites this side of Anthony Davis. Jared Dudley scored a season-high 19 points against the Kings on Thursday with five rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: He had season highs in field goal attempts and free throw attempts in what was obviously his best game. Dudley has barely been shooting the rock while he's been out there and only had 0.8 triples per game in his previous eight games this month. This rotation is going to be a mess, so he's not a standard league target based on this game alone. Rotoworld.com
