  • Dion Waiters scores just three points in loss
Dion Waiters scored just three points on 1-of-4 shooting in a loss to the Jazz on Saturday, adding two boards, two assists and one steal in 24 minutes.

Advice: Waiters had scored in double digits in each of his last four games, so this was a frustrating line for any owners relying on him tonight. Waiters is still locked into a starting role moving forward with Andre Roberson on the shelf, and he will have a chance to bounce back vs. the Suns on Sunday. That being said, he is far from a must-own player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Arron Afflalo scores 21 points vs. Nuggets
Arron Afflalo scored 21 points against the Nuggets on Saturday with five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer on 8-of-11 from the field.

Advice: Revenge game? Afflalo didn't really have beef with Denver, but this was a very, very overdue positive showing. His two steals and 21 points were the most he's produced in a Blazer uniform. We'll need to see it again, especially considering he's been posting some single-digit usage rates this month. • Will Barton scores 12 off the bench
Will Barton scored 12 points on 6-of-8 from the field against the Blazers on Saturday with seven boards, three assists, one steal and one block in 25 minutes.

Advice: He was known as Will the Thrill and the People's Champ in Portland as one of the fan favorites and he was quite comfortable tonight. Plus, he did the ol' inbounds pass of an opponent and was able to get an easy dunk. Barton is doing a fine job of adding multiple stats for his fantasy owners, but it's going to sting to have him on your roster because the Nuggets are off until Wednesday while tons of teams will play two games in that span. • Gordon Hayward scores 17 in win Saturday
Gordon Hayward shot just 4-of-16 from the field on Saturday with four turnovers, but he still managed to finish with 17 points, five boards, five assists, two steals and two blocks in 38 minutes.

Advice: This was Hayward's second game back since missing two consecutive games with a shoulder injury, so his owners should give him a pass for the poor shooting. The good news is that Hayward played 38 minutes tonight, and it doesn't appear that he will miss any more action due to his shoulder. Deploy him with confidence. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Hood (illness) scores seven in return
Rodney Hood (illness) returned from a two-game absence vs. the Thunder on Saturday and scored seven points on 3-of-8 shooting with three boards, one block and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Advice: The minutes were there for Hood, but this was a rather boring line and he wasn't very aggressive tonight. The Jazz also opted to go with newly acquired Chris Johnson down the stretch, but they probably just wanted to ease Hood back into action. As of right now, Hood is only an option in deeper leagues for owners in need of 3-pointers, but he does have upside and owners will want to monitor him down the stretch. Rotoworld.com

  • Jimmy Butler steals five vs. Knicks
Jimmy Butler had five steals against the Knicks on Saturday with 18 points, three rebounds, four assists and one block in 26 minutes.

Advice: The Knicks were down 31 at the end of the third, so the Bulls didn't need Butler to play 40 minutes. He's fared since his return, averaging 21.0 points, 7.0 boards, 2.0 assists and 1.0 treys in his previous two games. Butler is in the running for Most Improved Player and is a a top-15 target in drafts next season, assuming the Bulls bring him back. Rotoworld.com

  • Gerald Henderson scores 20 on 100.0 eFG%
Gerald Henderson was extremely efficient during a 115-100 win over the Hawks on Saturday, scoring 20 points on 9-of-10 from the field with five rebounds, four assists and two 3-pointers.

Advice: That's good for a 100.0 effective field goal percentage to help him get to his fifth 20-point game this month. In his previous games this month, Henderson averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 boards, 2.9 dimes and 0.8 steals on 46.2 percent from the field. The Hornets are really thin at forward, so expect Hendo to have at least one more 20-point game this week. He's a must-add player in points leagues and a decent add in standard formats. Rotoworld.com

  • Jeff Taylor scores nine points vs. Hawks
Jeff Taylor scored nine points in 27 minutes against the Hawks on Saturday with two boards, two assists and no turnovers.

Advice: He was almost exactly at his previous averages as the starter except he didn't have any treys tonight. Taylor should be in this neighborhood in the upcoming week. He does have four games and will likely start all of them, so give him a look in deep weekly leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Kent Bazemore scores 20 points vs. Hornets
Kent Bazemore made 7-of-14 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line for 20 points against the Hornets on Saturday with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: He brought the ball up a lot tonight and was also setting up for plenty of corner treys. Bazemore's increased usage tonight is a great sign for his value going forward and he's certainly someone to think about for next week with the Hawks kicking off the week on a back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday. • John Jenkins scores 16 points vs. Hornets
John Jenkins drew the start against the Hornets on Saturday with 16 points, one rebound, three assists, two steals and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: He was busy on offense as the main floor spacer in halfcourt and played more minutes than any other backcourt Hawk. Jenkins is probably going to have some sneaky value in deep leagues, but he's probably about fourth on the pecking order for Hawk adds behind Dennis Schroder, Kent Bazemore and Mike Muscala. • Danilo Gallinari (shoulder) out for Saturday
Danilo Gallinari (shoulder) will not play against the Blazers on Saturday.

Advice: It's the road game of a back-to-back set, so this isn't a surprise whatsoever. Gallinari has been playing well when he's active, but he'll likely miss at least one more game going forward. Will Barton, Wilson Chandler, Randy Foye and J.J. Hickson all benefit. Rotoworld.com

  • Tony Allen (hamstring) questionable for Sun
Tony Allen (hamstring) is questionable to play against the Spurs on Sunday.

Advice: He did not return from his hamstring strain on Friday and he's dealt with hamstring strains before this season, so Allen has a decent chance to miss this game. If he's out, expect Jeff Green to step up in the starting lineup while Courtney Lee will also benefit. Rotoworld.com

  • Kevin Martin, Bennett & Hummel are questionable
Kevin Martin (hamstring), Anthony Bennett (leg) and Robbie Hummel (hand) are questionable to play against the Pelicans on Sunday.

Advice: Martin said on Friday that he's hoping for his hamstring to heal by next week, so we still don't like his chances to play. Plus, the Wolves continue to list him as questionable as if they didn't even hear his comments. Lorenzo Brown and Chase Budinger benefit the most with Budinger serving as a solid add in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Jenkins, Muscala and Brand will start
Dennis Schroder, John Jenkins, Kent Bazemore, Mike Muscala and Elton Brand will start against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: The only mild surprise is Jenkins starting over Shelvin Mack and Thabo Sefolosha at shooting guard. Sefolosha only played 10.0 minutes per game in his last two, so he's likely still on a minutes limit. Expect Mack to get around 15 minutes at point guard with 10-15 more minutes coming at the shooting guard spot. Bazemore should see see 32-36 minutes and could get double-digit shot attempts with other stats, as well. Muscala could also be a threat for a double-double and is worth a look in daily leagues. • Jeff Taylor expected to start for MKG (ankle)
Jeff Taylor (ankle) is expected to start against the Hawks on Saturday.

Advice: It'll be his third start for the Hornets. In his previous two, Taylor averaged 9.0 points, 2.5 boards 1.0 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.5 treys in 26.5 minutes per game. He will likely be in the mid 20s for minutes again and these stats serve as a fair expectation. Gerald Henderson and Marvin Williams are much better players tonight. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Hood is probable for Saturday
Rodney Hood (illness) is probable to play against the Thunder on Saturday.

Advice: He has been sick since Monday due to a stomach problem and is finally feeling better. Hood may have more shots headed his way with Derrick Favors (back) likely out tonight. He's worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Kyle Korver out for Saturday vs. Charlotte
Kyle Korver (rest) will not play against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: He's going to get some rest for the first time since his broken nose. Korver's fantasy owners may actually have to consider cutting him in weekly leagues because his fantasy value isn't high right now and he likely will sit in three or more games the rest of the way. With Korver out, Kent Bazemore and Thabo Sefolosha should get the starts on the wings. Rotoworld.com

  • Thaddeus Young (knee) officially out Sunday
Thaddeus Young (knee) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Lakers.

Advice: This will be his second straight game out of the lineup, and there is still no indication on when he will return. The Nets are still in the playoff hunt, so hopefully we will see Young back out on the floor soon. Mason Plumlee started at power forward on Friday vs. the Cavaliers, but he was largely ineffective and is only worth a look in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Doug McDermott (back) will not play Saturday
Doug McDermott (back) will not play vs. the Knicks on Saturday according to head coach Tom Thibodeau.

Advice: McDermott reportedly had another setback, so he is probably looking at some additional time on the sidelines. He wasn't a consistent part of the rotation anyways, so his absence won't have many fantasy implications. We will update his status once we know more. Rotoworld.com

  • Gallinari (shoulder) plays on Friday
Danilo Gallinari (shoulder) played in the Nuggets' 107-91 win over the Jazz on Friday, scoring 13 points on 4-of-14 shooting (including three treys) with four rebounds, one steal and three blocks in 28 minutes.

Advice: Gallinari reported that his right triceps muscles were sore after the game, which sounds like it could be the shoulder injury that was previously reported. The overall production here doesn't draw any huge red flags, but the simple fact that he is hurting at all on a team that hasn't been shy about tanking is a red flag of its own. The Nuggets' schedule isn't great going forward, so be ready to make a tough decision to sit him if news worsens. Rotoworld.com

  • Barton double-doubles off the bench
Will Barton double-doubled off the bench on Friday, scoring 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting (including two threes) with 10 rebounds and two assists in just 20 minutes.

Advice: Barton continues to hang onto late-round value in his low-minute role and it's enough to keep throwing kindling on the fire. If he can see some key guys ahead of him call it an early season, there is potential for him to post some really active lines. On the other hand, the Nuggets finish the fantasy playoffs with a pair of three-game weeks so that is working against him. Rotoworld.com

  • Hayward (shoulder) returns, produces vs. DEN
Gordon Hayward (shoulder) returned from a two-game absence in Friday's loss to the Nuggets, scoring 24 points on 9-of-19 shooting (1-of-7 3PTs, 5-of-6 FTs) with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 32 minutes.

Advice: Hayward looked fine and made it through the game unscathed at least as far as the postgame reporting indicates. If Derrick Favors misses any time with his back injury, you'll see Hayward get a few more touches. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 11:48 pm
  • Nicolas Batum scores five in return
Nicolas Batum scored five points with nine rebounds, five assists, one 3-pointer and four turnovers in 32 minutes against the Suns on Friday.

Advice: It was his first game back from a two-game absence. Batum wasn't thoroughly involved with the scoring, but he did a fine job setting up LaMarcus Aldridge. Batum was rolling before his back injury, so expect him to pick it up on Saturday vs. the Nuggets. Rotoworld.com

  • Gerald Green scores 12 in 13 minutes
Gerald Green scored 12 points in 13 minutes against the Blazers on Friday with five rebounds and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Coach Jeff Hornacek said he gave Green some extra run because he needed some shooting in the lineup, but Green looked gassed tonight. He probably didn't help himself much for playing time and Brandon Knight (ankle) should be back soon, so leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com

James Harden scored 33 points during a 120-110 win over the Wolves on Friday with four rebounds, eight assists, five steals and six 3-pointers.

Advice: He tied his season high in steals tonight and his six treys were the most he's made in a game during the second half. The Rockets were able to clinch a spot in the playoffs, but Harden may have actually lost ground in the MVP race with Stephen Curry hitting a 9.5 on the Curry-O-Meter tonight. Rotoworld.com

  • Green goes for 16 and eight off the bench
Jeff Green scored 16 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 7-of-12 shots (including two threes) with eight rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes.

Advice: Tony Allen got knocked out of the game with a hamstring injury and the rest of the backcourt isn't exactly a picture of health. Green's minutes become solidified if Allen misses any time and he might be in line for a few more touches too. He's on a bit of a hot streak with mid-round value over the last two weeks, but the Grizzlies' pair of three-game weeks offsets some of the buzz that might create. Give him a look with late-round expectations. Rotoworld.com

Josh Smith logged 40 minutes against the Wolves on Friday with 16 points, nine rebounds, 11 assists, three blocks and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He was the ball handler in a lot of pick-and-roll sets and had a nice rapport with Dwight Howard. Smith is basically the last man standing at power forward and should see major minutes for the next couple games until Terrence Jones (ribs, lung) can return. • DeMar DeRozan makes 1-of-10 from field
DeMar DeRozan made 1-of-10 from the field for six points during a 94-83 win over the Lakers on Friday, adding 10 boards, seven assists, one steal and one turnover.

Advice: He really has to take it easy on his jumpers. In his last nine games, DeRozan has made just 25.8 percent on his jump shots, which account for 44.9 percent of his shot total. He's also struggled all over the court on shooting, averaging 20.1 points, 6.7 boards, 4.3 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.6 treys on 37.0 percent from the field in that span. Considering he's taking 15.3 shots per game, he's one of the worst guys for field goal percentage right now. Rotoworld.com

  • Jae Crowder still getting some minutes
Jae Crowder scored 17 points in 29 minutes off the bench against the Knicks on Friday during a 96-92 win, adding nine rebounds, two steals and one turnover.

Advice: Even with Isaiah Thomas getting more minutes, Crowder still saw a nice chunk of playing time. Coach Brad Stevens is taking minutes away from Tyler Zeller and Kelly Olynyk, so Crowder might be able to stay fantasy relevant in standard leagues. He's a little too inconsistent to be considered as a strong add, though. Rotoworld.com

Alan Anderson logged 30 minutes off the bench on Friday, scoring 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds and one steal.

Advice: With Thaddeus Young (knee) looking doubtful for Sunday's game and possibly more, this type of workload seems like a decent bet until Young gets back. Anderson has a week of late-round value under his belt and isn't going to blow you away, but if you need shooting guard stats he could be worth a look. Rotoworld.com

  • Henderson grabs career-high 14 rebounds
Gerald Henderson grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds to go with 11 points, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer on Friday against the Wizards.

  • Tony Allen (hamstring strain) leaves game
Tony Allen suffered a left hamstring strain on Friday.

Advice: He's had hamstring issues already this season and the Grizzlies are being blown out, so Allen is likely out for the game. Kevin Martin (hamstrings) and Ricky Rubio (ankle) will not play against the Rockets on Friday.

"I think we can beat anybody," he said. "I don't think it matters what seed we end up in. We just want to win as many games and get in a rhythm and get rolling heading into the playoffs." Dion Waiters, who was benched for the start of the second half on Tuesday, started for the Thunder on Wednesday and had 14 points, a steal and two 3-pointers on 5-of-11 shooting.

Advice: Waiters' line was actually pretty decent due to the final score of 130-91 looking more like an old-school Globetrotters' score over the Washington Generals, instead of a meeting of two of the West's better teams. Will Barton did not play in the fourth quarter against the 76ers on Wednesday, finishing with six points, five rebounds, one block and one turnover in 22 minutes.

Advice: He wasn't the worst player on the team tonight and coach Melvin Hunt likely just went with some other guys down the stretch. It didn't work with the 76ers winning the fourth quarter 27-9, so at least Barton has that going for him. He should get some extra minutes with the Nuggets having a back-to-back set this weekend. • Surprise: Nic Batum gets a DNP Wednesday
Nicolas Batum was actually listed as a starter at one point on Wednesday, and it then sounded like he would come off the bench for the Blazers as he deals with a sore back. However, he never got into the game.

Advice: We're not quite sure what happened here, but the Blazers were not comfortable playing him tonight. The fact he appeared to be a go should be viewed as good news though, and hopefully he'll be back on Friday against the Suns. Allen Crabbe got the surprise start, but Dorell Wright had 15 points, five boards and three 3-pointers, and looks like the safest option if Batum is going to miss more time. Rotoworld.com

Advice: It's his most efficient game of the season and it comes on the heels of missing a game on Sunday. Evans should be fine going forward, but his troublesome left ankle will always be something to watch. He'll be a must-start option against the Kings on Friday. Revenge game? Rotoworld.com

Jae Crowder moved back to the bench on Wednesday and had 16 points and seven rebounds in 27 minutes in a loss to the Heat.

  • Jimmy Butler scores 23 points on eight FGAs
Jimmy Butler made 7-of-8 from the field for 23 points against the Raptors on Wednesday with five rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes.

Advice: That's good for a 100.0 effective field goal percentage to go with just one turnover. Butler is hitting the ground running following his 19-point game in his return on Monday. He's been a top-10 player in standard leagues on a per-game basis and should have a strong finish. Rotoworld.com

  • DeMar DeRozan scores 20 points vs. Bulls
DeMar DeRozan scored 20 points during a 116-103 loss to the Bulls on Wednesday with two rebounds, five assists and one steal in 39 minutes.

Advice: He has become more of a facilitator for the Raptors, but he still made just 7-of-19 from the field. DeRozan has made just 40.5 percent from the field in his last seven, averaging 22.4 points, 6.3 boards, 3.7 dimes, 0.6 steals, 2.0 turnovers and 0.7 treys. Specifically, he's made 29.6 percent on his mid-range shots in that span, which accounted for 46.6 percent of his shot total. DeRozan needs to attack the basket more. Rotoworld.com

  • Danilo Gallinari dealing with shoulder issue
Danilo Gallinari is dealing with a shoulder injury and did not play in the fourth quarter against the 76ers on Wednesday, finishing with eight points, five boards, two assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

Advice: He was on track for big minutes tonight and the good news is that this isn't a knee issue. Gallinari said he expects to be fine, so he should be ready for Friday's game against the Jazz at home. He's worth owning in standard leagues, but he's absolutely a candidate to be rested on Saturday in Portland. Rotoworld.com

  • Gerald Henderson scores 23 in loss
Gerald Henderson hit 10-of-19 shots for 23 points, one rebound, two assists and two steals in Wednesday's loss.

Advice: He's scored in double figures in five straight games and his 23 points were the most he's scored since Feb. 5, when he had 27. He's scoring again, but not doing a lot else right now to help his owners on most nights. Rotoworld.com

  • Korver, Hawks bounce back to end 3-game skid
Kyle Korver had 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks and three 3-pointers on 5-of-12 shooting in Wednesday's comeback win over the Magic.

Advice: The Hawks snapped a three-game losing streak and outscored Orlando 27-12 in the final quarter to steal the win. This was a much needed win for the Hawks and they'll be looking to gain some lost momentum as the playoffs approach. Paul Millsap added 25 points, 15 boards and four blocks, DeMarre Carroll had 11 points, seven boards and four steals, and Jeff Teague just missed a double-double with 16 points and nine assists. Nicolas Batum will come off the bench with Allen Crabbe starting in his place against the Jazz on Wednesday.

Nicolas Batum (back) will start against the Jazz on Wednesday.

  • Thaddeus Young (left knee) out for game
Thaddeus Young suffered a hyperextended left knee on Wednesday and will not return.

Advice: X-rays were negative and he will likely have an MRI on Thursday. To clarify, a hyperextended knee means his joint just went past where it's normally supposed to go, so this isn't a specific diagnosis. We should know more on Thursday, but Young could miss time. It'll be Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Johnson and Cory Jefferson stepping up. Young finished with 11 points and four boards in 23 minutes, and could miss time with this injury. Rotoworld.com

Nicolas Batum (back) may have a good chance to play against the Jazz on Wednesday.

Advice: We're going based off team reporter Casey Holdahl saying he thinks Batum will give it a go. Batum may be limited and he's certainly going to be at risk for an aggravation, but owners of Dorell Wright, C.J. McCollum and Alonzo Gee should dial down their expectations. Rotoworld.com

Nicolas Batum (back) is on the court warming up to play against the Jazz on Wednesday.

Advice: He's shaping up to be a game-time decision tonight. If he can't go, it should be Alonzo Gee and Dorell Wright getting most of his minutes. Batum has played through a lot of injuries this season, so he has a chance to play. We should have another update shortly. Rotoworld.com

  • Gordon Hayward (shoulder) out Wednesday
Gordon Hayward (shoulder) will not play vs. the Blazers on Wednesday.

Advice: This will be his second straight game on the sidelines, and there is still no indication on when he will be able to return. We will go ahead and consider him questionable for Friday's game vs. the Nuggets, but the Jazz will likely err on the side of caution if Hayward isn't 100 percent. Trey Burke will draw the start vs. the Blazers and should be very busy on offense, so owners in daily leagues should give him strong consideration. Rodney Hood (illness) is also out tonight, meaning Elijah Millsap and Joe Ingles should see some increased run as well. Rotoworld.com

  • Kevin Martin is 'available to play' vs. LA
Kevin Martin (hamstring) is available to play against the Lakers on Wednesday.

Advice: Earlier reports say the injury situation is the same with the Wolves, so there's still a very good chance we don't see Martin out there tonight. • Kevin Martin (hamstring) still questionable
Kevin Martin (hamstring) is still questionable to play vs. the Lakers on Wednesday.

Advice: The Wolves are going to be extremely shorthanded again tonight, so they could use all the help they could get. If Martin can't play, Andrew Wiggins, Chase Budinger, Lorenzo Brown and Sean Kilpatrick should all get plenty of minutes on the wings, with Wiggins and Budinger offering the most upside. We still don't think Martin plays because the Wolves have no incentive to play him at less than 100 percent and they are currently playing for ping pong balls, so his owners should have a backup plan ready. • Doug McDermott out Wednesday w/ sore back
Doug McDermott will not play on Wednesday due to back soreness.

Advice: His absence gives Tom Thibodeau one fewer perimeter shooter to bring off the bench, but it shouldn't have any implications in fantasy leagues. McDermott is averaging under 10 minutes per game since the All-Star break and the waiver wire is his permanent residence. Rotoworld.com

  • Nicolas Batum (back) questionable for Wed
Nicolas Batum (back) is questionable to play against the Jazz on Wednesday.

Advice: He missed Tuesday due to an injury from Saturday, but he was listed as doubtful for that game. The Blazers are hopeful Batum can play at some point on the upcoming road trip, which is just for today and Friday. If he's out, Alonzo Gee or Dorell Wright would likely start. Coach Terry Stotts started Gee on Tuesday with Wright at the four, but the matchup is a little different this time around against a big Utah front line. Wright is the more attractive play if you're feeling frisky. Batum owners will want to check back for an update. Rotoworld.com

  • Gordon Hayward (shoulder) still doubtful Wed
Gordon Hayward (shoulder) was unable to go through shootaround on Wednesday, and he is still considered doubtful to play vs. the Blazers.

Advice: Hayward has been pretty durable throughout his career, but he is in danger of missing his second straight game. His owners should have a backup plan ready, as the Jazz will likely err on the side of caution if Hayward isn't feeling up to the task. With Rodney Hood out with an illness, Joe Ingles and Elijah Millsap will be busy on the wings, while Trey Burke will have to step up on offense off the bench. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Hood (illness) will not play Wednesday
Rodney Hood (illness) will not play vs. the Blazers on Wednesday.

Advice: Hood was really starting to come on strong for the Jazz, but the rookie has had a tough time staying on the floor this season. Gordon Hayward (shoulder) is doubtful Wednesday, meaning Joe Ingles and Elijah Millsap should see plenty of minutes vs. the Blazers, though neither player is an appealing option in most leagues. Consider Hood day-to-day moving forward. Rotoworld.com

  • Tyreke Evans, Omer Asik expect to play Wed
Tyreke Evans (ankle) and Omer Asik (calf) are both expected to play vs. the Rockets on Wednesday.

Advice: Evans was held out of Sunday's game vs. the Clippers, but he has been able to rest for a few days now, and he should be ready to resume his normal allotment of minutes tonight. With the Pelicans in the hunt for a playoff spot, Evans will likely continue to play through minor injuries for the foreseeable future. • Will Barton would like to remain a Nugget
Will Barton is hoping to stick around with the Nuggets beyond this season.

Advice: "No doubt," Barton said. "I think we can build something here. We have a lot of good talent, a good organization, coaching staff is good. I can see us building and having a strong future here. We can grow together." The Nuggets can extend Barton a qualifying offer in the summer that estimates to be around $1.1 million, and if he accepts it would make him a restricted free agent. Barton has played well in Denver and is averaging 10.2 points, 4.6 boards, 2.2 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 3-pointer in just over 26 minutes per game over his last five, making him a viable asset in deeper leagues. • Danilo Gallinari impresses his head coach
Head coach Melvin Hunt has been impressed by the recent play of Danilo Gallinari, and he is hopeful that he will continue to make improvements to his game.

Advice: "He could become better, he could become a smarter player," Hunt said. "Athleticism can be honed. I’m just thankful for him to have time. He may not be the same, but a lot of the great players, when they come back from injury, they add something, they’ll subtract something, they’ll emphasize something. He’s no different. He knows what his weapon is, his ability to shoot the ball. But he’s putting together a nice little package of drives, finding other guys — and he’s an underrated passer. Gallo is going to figure out ways to reinvent himself. I’m not worried about Gallo at all." Gallinari dropped a career-high 40 points vs. the Magic on Sunday, and no words can describe how good it is to see him produce at this level again after several setback with his knee. Rotoworld.com

  • Dion Waiters stays hot w/ 23 points vs Lakers
Dion Waiters was benched to start the second half of Tuesday's game, but he got hot offensively and finished with 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting, two 3-pointers, four rebounds, four assists and only one turnover in 35 minutes.

Advice: Anthony Morrow took Waiters' spot with the starters and remains the more valuable fantasy option, regardless of where he begins Wednesday's game in San Antonio. Waiters has been hot offensively over his past few games, however, and is worth plugging into lineup until he cools off. OKC is starting to gain some breathing room as the No. 8 seed in the West, pulling two games ahead of the idle Suns with tonight's 127-117 home win. Rotoworld.com

  • Nicolas Batum (back) expected to sit Tuesday
Nicolas Batum (back) didn't go through warmups and he's not listed as a starter for Tuesday's game vs. Golden State.

Advice: Batum didn't practice on Monday and he was listed as doubtful prior to being ruled out, so this shouldn't catch any owners by surprise. The extremely short-handed Blazers will rely on Alonzo Gee, Dorell Wright, C.J. McCollum and Arron Afflalo to pick up extra playing time in Batum's absence, with Gee taking Batum's spot in the starting lineup. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Hood (illness) doubtful for Wednesday
Rodney Hood (gastrointestinal distress) is doubtful to play Wednesday vs. the Trail Blazers.

Advice: With both Hood and Gordon Hayward (shoulder) being listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game, the Jazz are going to be very thin on the wings. • Gordon Hayward (shoulder) doubtful Wednesday
Gordon Hayward (shoulder) is being listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game vs. Portland.

Advice: This injury couldn't come at a worse time for owners fighting to make it through the playoffs, but with player development now being prioritized over winning in Utah, the Jazz are not going to rush Hayward back from an injury. If he is unable to go on Wednesday, Joe Ingles would get another game with the starting unit, while Derrick Favors would be asked to step up as the main-man on offense. Trey Burke would also see his shot attempts rise with Hayward on the sidelines. Owners can expect to get another update on Hayward following Wednesday morning's shootaround, so stay tuned for that. • Kevin Martin (hamstring) questionable for Wed
Kevin Martin (hamstring) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Lakers.

Advice: Martin did not play during the Wolves last game due to his ailing hamstring, and with the Timberwolves playing for picks, there's no reason for Martin to play at less than 100 percent. We'll be monitoring his status closely, and if he's unavailable, Lorenzo Brown would have another opportunity to start, with Chase Budinger and Sean Kilpatrick seeing extended minutes in the backcourt. Advice: Hood left Monday's game against Minnesota with a stomach problem and was unable to practice on Tuesday, so we'll consider him questionable for Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers. Gordon Hayward (shoulder) missed Tuesday's practice.

Advice: While this doesn't mean anything definitive, it certainly casts doubt on Hayward's availability for Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers. With the Jazz having little to play for, we could see them take a cautious approach with their star over the last few weeks of the season. • Jimmy Butler feeling good after return
Jimmy Butler (elbow) said he felt good after his return to the court in Monday's win over the Hornets.

Advice: While Butler's 6-of-20 shooting showed that he still has some rust to shake off, his fantasy owners have to be ecstatic to see him play 40 minutes in his first game back after missing three weeks. "I'm glad to be back," Butler said. "But I got to get better. I feel like I hurt us in a lot of ways tonight, even though we got the win, don't get me wrong. • Jimmy Minutes Returns: Butler plays 40 mins
Jimmy Butler played 40 minutes in his return to the lineup on Monday with 19 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one turnover on 6-of-20 from the field.

Advice: The rust was there, but at least he had a similar usage and playing time to his pre-injury days. Butler does have better scoring numbers when he's not on the court with Rose, so his fantasy owners can expect him to put up inflated numbers for the next week and beyond. He figures to be a top-25 player going forward. Rotoworld.com

  • James Harden scores 44 points vs. Pacers
James Harden took over against the Pacers during a 110-100 win on Monday, scoring 44 points on 10-of-21 from the field and 21-of-22 from the line with four rebounds, seven assists, two steals, two blocks and three 3-pointers.

Advice: It's his league-leading eighth game with at least 40 points to pass Russell Westbrook with seven. Harden is also the first player this season to score at least 40 points while making 10 or less field goals in a game. It's also his second game with more than 20 free throw makes in a game this season -- no other player has one of those games this season. He lost a little ground for MVP on Saturday, but he regained most of that ground tonight. His fantasy owners are going to love having him for a four-game run this week. Rotoworld.com

Batum does have a couple minor injuries to his back, but this isn't a trend for him. Still, he appears doubtful to play on Tuesday. With Batum out, C.J. If Butler returns on Monday, it will have been exactly three weeks since the diagnosis of his injury, and he's not expected to have a minutes limit of any kind. We always expected Butler to be on the early side of his timetable considering his reputation, and his return to the starting lineup comes at a great time for his team and fantasy owners. Jae Crowder started at point guard in place of Marcus Smart (suspension) and he did not disappoint, scoring 19 points with seven boards, three assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in an overtime loss to the Pistons on Sunday.

Advice: He was everywhere tonight and head coach Brad Stevens was hesitant to take him off the court as he logged 45 minutes. Crowder will return to the bench on Monday vs. the Nets when Smart comes back from his suspension, but his play won't go unnoticed. Crowder has now averaged 14.0 points, 6.8 boards, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals over his last five games, and he is worth a long look in most leagues with the Celtics set to play four games this coming week. • Kevin Martin hands out career-high nine dimes
Kevin Martin handed out a career-high nine assists during Sunday's loss to Charlotte, while scoring 15 points on 7-of-19 field goals.

Advice: KevMart didn't make any 3-pointers and he only attempted one free throw all game, but he made up for it with four boards, one steal and the sudden outburst of assists. He had zero assists in his previous two games and is a dubious source of dimes even if Ricky Rubio's ankle injury costs him a few more games. Owners rely on Martin for points and 3-pointers, so consider tonight's game an added bonus. Rotoworld.com

  • Will Barton chips in across the board Sunday
Will Barton had 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals off the bench vs. Orlando on Sunday.

Advice: Randy Foye was out with a stomach illness, setting up Barton for a solid game but instead he played only 25 minutes, much of which came during garbage time. He has had a few offensive explosions since the All-Star break and does just enough to hold steady late-round value in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Danilo Gallinari pours in career-high 40 pts
Danilo Gallinari exploded for a career-high 40 points during Sunday's win in Orlando, sinking 12-of-21 field goals and 10-of-11 free throws with six 3-pointers, seven rebounds and four assists.

Advice: Gallo's resurgence is one of the NBA's most pleasant stories since the All-Star break. Tonight's barrage wasn't limited to scoring, either, as he racked up three steals and two blocks with just one turnover in 33 minutes. He sat out Friday's game to get some rest and it obviously suited him, which is the only caveat for his lucky fantasy owners -- Denver has three remaining back-to-back sets, all of which are likely spots for a DNP-CD. All owners can do is keep Gallo active, check the Nuggets' injury report, and hope for the best. Rotoworld.com

  • Kyle Korver drains two 3-pointers in return
Kyle Korver (nose) returned on Sunday with six points, two 3-pointers, three rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and five turnovers in 29 minutes.

Advice: He didn't seem entirely comfortable wearing a protective mask, but it didn't prevent him from another efficient performance beyond the arc (2-of-3). Korver currently ranks third in the NBA with 194 three-pointers made, trailing only the Splash Brothers, and he's safe to plug into all fantasy lineups. Rotoworld.com

  • Kent Bazemore scoreless w/ Korver active
Kent Bazemore returned to the Hawks' bench with Kyle Korver (nose) active on Sunday, going scoreless without any stats to his credit in 17 minutes.

Advice: Ouch. Bazemore is averaging a middling 9.4 points, 4.6 boards and 1.8 assists as a starter this season, but he earns his keep in fantasy leagues with 1.0 triples, 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks. A bench role isn't nearly as conducive to value, however, as he's averaging just 15.2 minutes as a reserve, so he can be cut in all leagues now that Korver is healthy. Rotoworld.com

  • Tyreke Evans (ankle) will not play Sunday

  • Kyle Korver (nose) will start vs. the Spurs
Kyle Korver (nose) will start vs. the Spurs on Sunday, sending Kent Bazemore back to the bench.

Advice: Korver has missed the last three games due to a broken nose, but his owners can safely activate him for today's contest. There is a good chance that Korver will sit out some games down the stretch with the Hawks coasting in the Eastern Conference, but he will be a must-start option every time he suits up because of his elite 3-point shooting. Bazemore does lose some value following this news, but he should be hold onto in deeper leagues simply because the Hawks will likely rest their key players often. Rotoworld.com

  • Tyreke Evans, Omer Asik questionable Sunday
Tyreke Evans (left ankle sprain) and Omer Asik (calf) are questionable to play vs. the Clippers on Sunday.

Advice: Evans injured his calf on Friday and wasn't able to return, so his owners might view it as a good thing that the Pelicans cited his previously sprained ankle for the reason as to why he is questionable. Evans will likely be a game-time decision tonight, so his owners will have no choice but to to check back later for the official word on his status. If Evans can't play, Norris Cole would likely start and would be worth a look in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Hood scores 19 points in loss Saturday
Rodney Hood scored 19 points on 9-of-14 shooting in Saturday's loss to the Warriors, adding one board and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

Advice: It was an encouraging game for the rookie, and the Jazz will simply be glad to see him out on the court after he struggled with plantar fasciitis in his foot for most of the season. Hood is still rather inconsistent and is coming off a two-point performance on Thursday, but he is certainly worth a look for owners in need of scoring and 3-pointers. It also helps that his competition for minutes consists of Elijah Millsap and Joe Ingles. Rotoworld.com

  • James Harden only takes five FTAs
James Harden cooled off from his huge Thursday night with just 16 points on Saturday during a 117-102 loss to the Suns, adding two rebounds, five assists and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.

Advice: He only attempted five shots from the line and the Suns wouldn't let him in the lane nearly as much as usual. Harden also didn't play well on defense in what may have been his worst game since the break. His fantasy owners will obviously forgive him and should have high hopes for his production in a four-game week. Rotoworld.com

  • Jeff Green scores 23 points with nine boards
Jeff Green was terrific in the starting lineup against the Blazers on Saturday with 23 points, nine rebounds and five 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

Advice: He and Tony Allen picked up most of Courtney Lee's (hand) minutes. Green is going to move back to the bench once Lee gets healthy, but he still looked good on Friday with 15 points. Unless you were already eyeing him, Green isn't a great pickup in shallow leagues. He's worth a look if you need scoring, though. Rotoworld.com

  • Arron Afflalo scores eight points
Arron Afflalo scored eight points on 3-of-6 from the field and 2-of-3 from the line with three rebounds, one assist and three fouls.

Advice: Even with all the injuries, Afflalo still can't produce. He somehow only put up a 9.8 usage rate tonight, which makes his position of shooting guard a complete misnomer. His ceiling will be raised with all of these injuries, but there's no need to be proactive in adding him right now based on how poorly he's played. Rotoworld.com

  • Kyle Korver is questionable to play Sunday
Kyle Korver (nose) is questionable to play against the Spurs on Sunday.

Advice: He was expected to miss three games due to a broken nose, which means he should return for this one. The Hawks have missed Korver quite a bit, suffering a two-game losing streak heading into Sunday. If Korver can make it back, Kent Bazemore won't be in play for fantasy owners in almost all leagues. • Jimmy Butler (elbow) out for Saturday night
Jimmy Butler (elbow) will not play against the Pistons on Saturday night.

Advice: He is getting a little closer and even put in a full practice on Thursday. If Jimmy doesn't have a setback, there's a decent chance he'll play this week. The Bulls will take on the Hornets at home on Monday and Butler could give it a go for that one. Mike Dunleavy has back-to-back games with 21 points and is worth a look tonight. Nikola Mirotic has been on fire and is a must-start player. Rotoworld.com

  • Jeff Green asked for his new bench role
Jeff Green asked head coach Dave Joerger if he could come off the bench prior to Friday's game vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: The move certainly paid off for Green and he was really active with the second unit, scoring 15 points with three boards, one steal, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes. "The flow was there," Green said after their win over the Mavericks. "I’m going to end up playing with those guys in the starting unit anyway. But it’s good for myself because now I can be more aggressive. I don’t have to worry about getting Marc [Gasol] and Zach [Randolph] involved. By the time I get in they’ve already been involved. It’s on me to just go in be aggressive and try to score." Green will likely continue coming off the bench for the foreseeable future, and it looks like his value could actually be on the rise. • Tyreke Evans leaves game with calf injury
Tyreke Evans left Friday's game midway through the third quarter due to a calf injury and did not return, finishing with two points on 1-of-4 shooting, five rebounds and four assists in 15 minutes.

Advice: Evans was questionable for tonight's game due to an ankle injury so needless to say he's banged up. Norris Cole (16 points, five rebounds, four assists, two threes, 37 minutes) has had some standalone low-end appeal in 12-14 team leagues, but any time off for Evans would obviously boost him into easy late-round value with some upside beyond that. Jae Crowder started the second half for Tyler Zeller during a 101-89 loss to the Spurs on Friday with 14 points, six rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in 32 minutes.

Advice: He was 5-of-14 from the field and was heavily involved in the offense. With Marcus Smart likely to be suspended, Crowder is a good bet to move into the starting lineup and see close to 36-38 minutes. If you're looking for a risk-reward guy on Sunday, give him a look. Rotoworld.com

Dion Waiters scored a season-high 26 points on Friday against the Hawks, hitting 11-of-18 shots (including two threes) with three rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 37 minutes.

Advice: If Waiters is going to get this much playing time then he might be worth a look, but chances are that Enes Kanter will return to steal some touches and cap off any theoretic upside that Waiters might have. It was easily his best game of the year but we're just not convinced he can get it done in a standard league. Rotoworld.com

  • Bazemore posts nice low-end line on Friday
Kent Bazemore scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds, one steal and one block in Friday's loss to the Thunder.

Advice: Bazemore has been a late-round value for 15 games now and it's unclear if Thabo Sefolosha's eventual return will knock him off that path. He's averaging 26 mpg over that span and making his best contributions in the money stat categories, averaging a combined 3.1 steals, blocks and threes per game. Rotoworld.com

  • Tony Allen plays 32 minutes in start
Tony Allen started on Friday against the Mavs with 13 points, seven rebounds, one assist and two steals on 5-of-8 from the field and 3-of-8 from the line in 32 minutes.

Advice: This is right up his alley for playing time and usage rate, so Allen will continue to be more of a steals guy with some boards and points mixed in. He's worth a look depending on your needs. Keep an eye on his status for the back-to-back set on Saturday, but there's little doubt the Grindfather will sit in the Grindhouse. Rotoworld.com

Jeff Green came off the bench against the Mavs on Friday with 15 points, three rebounds, one steal, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

Advice: It was a good game for him and he'll be able to do more on offense if he's getting more run with the second unit. DeMar DeRozan made three 3-pointers and 8-of-14 from the field for 27 points against the Bulls during a 108-92 loss on Friday with seven rebounds, three assists and two turnovers.

Advice: He's picking it up with four straight games of at least 21 points. DeRozan has also been to the line at least 10 times in each of his last three, which helps explain the scoring binge. He'll look to keep it going against the hapless Knicks on Sunday. Rotoworld.com

  • Barton quiet but still versatile on Friday
Will Barton scored seven points on 2-of-5 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block in 17 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: If Barton can rack up the money stats like this on bad nights he'll be set, and he's still pushing top-70 value this past week despite two low-minute outings in a row. He'll probably need some injuries ahead of him to feel good about his role, but consistency isn't an issue as he has been a top 90-100 player for 16 games now. Rotoworld.com

  • Arron Afflalo has a bad night in Orlando
Arron Afflalo didn't play well against one of his former teams in Orlando on Friday with seven points, three rebounds and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

Advice: It hasn't gone well for him. Afflalo doesn't have a single steal in any of his last five games, averaging 13.2 points, 2.6 boards, 0.2 blocks and 2.6 treys on 42.6 percent from the field in that span. He's losing some playing time now and it's really hard to hold a guy who has yet to make a splash since joining the team. If there's something promising on the wire, cutting Afflalo makes sense. Tyreke Evans (ankle) will play against the Warriors on Friday night.

Advice: At least the Pelicans will have 40 percent of their starting lineup tonight. Rodney Hood missed all six shots from the field against the Lakers on Thursday with two points, one rebound, three assists and no turnovers in 22 minutes.

Advice: The law of averages had its say and Hood was on the opposite end of the spectrum from his 9-of-11 from the field back on Monday. His minutes also came down from the 29-minute outing on Wednesday. Although, maybe Hood only making 31.4 percent from the field in his previous seven games with no days rest was a factor here. Advice: That's two really bad games in a row following his 1-of-5 from the field on Monday. Barton had a 25-point game on Sunday and his value is going to be a roller coaster going forward. The Nuggets are on the second half of a road-road back-to-back on Friday, so maybe the front offices rests guys again like they did on Monday. He's not a must-own player, but there is some reward to go with the risk, obviously. Rotoworld.com

  • James Harden scores career-high 50 points
James Harden scored a career-high 50 points against the Nuggets during a 118-108 win on Thursday, making 12-of-27 from the field and 22-of-25 from the line with 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal and four 3-pointers.

Advice: He's just the fourth player to score 50 on 12 or less field goals in NBA history and is just the third player since 1985-86 to score at least 50 points on less than 45 percent from the field (Kobe Bryant three times and Kevin Durant once). Harden is also the first guard since 2009 to put up 50 points with double-digit rebounds (Dwyane Wade).
