    • Evan Turner benched for second half on Sunday
Evan Turner struggled yet again on Sunday, scoring zero points on 0-of-6 shooting to go with five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one turnover over 19 minutes of action.

Advice: Turner is now a combined 2-of-16 from the field over the past two games, and he was benched in favor of Marcus Smart for the entire second half. While the thumb issue may be affected his shot, his game in general just doesn't translate very well to fantasy basketball. He's averaging 10.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2.7 turnovers as a starter on 43.0 percent shooting, and he's not a great asset in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Shabazz Napier struggles as a starter Sunday
Shabazz Napier struggled in his second consecutive start, finishing Sunday's win with five points on 2-of-8 shooting while adding four rebounds, three assists, one steal, one 3-pointer, and one turnover.

Advice: This is the second unimpressive showing for Napier despite the move into the starting lineup, and the increased opportunity with Dwyane Wade (hamstring) sidelined. You'd have to be in an extremely deep league for Napier's minimal production to be beneficial to your fantasy squad. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: John Lucas to sign 10-day deal w/ DET
John Lucas III is reportedly set to sign a 10-day contract with the Pistons.

Advice: Lucas would provide some depth at point guard position in Detroit, but as a backup point guard he's not going to be able to offer any fantasy value to teams in standard leagues. He could however cut into the minutes of Spencer Dinwiddie, so that will be something to monitor for owners of Dinwiddie in extremely deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Zach LaVine (ankle) questionable Monday
Zach LaVine (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: Ricky Rubio (ankle) and Mo Williams (hip) are also questionable, which means there's a chance that Lorenzo Brown could end up playing big minutes once again on Monday. LaVine likely won't have a big role moving forward, so owners should start considering other options. Rotoworld.com

    • Mo Williams (hip) is questionable Monday
Mo Williams (hip) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Mavericks.

Advice: Ricky Rubio (ankle) could return as soon as Monday, So Williams' outlook does not look good. Williams has been mentioned in several trade rumors, but he won't be worth owning in standard leagues unless he's traded to an ideal situation. Rotoworld.com

    • Byron Scott praises rookie Jordan Clarkson
Byron Scott praised rookie Jordan Clarkson's recent play since being moved to the starting lineup.

Advice: "I think we have a pretty good basketball player in this young kid," Scott said. "When he falls on his face, he gets right back up. He wants to get better; he works his butt off every single day. If you look at his first game [starting] against San Antonio, and his last game [Thursday], he’s shown improvement." Clarkson looks like the point guard to own in Los Angeles now, and with coach Byron Scott hinting that he will keep his current lineup the way it is for the foreseeable future, Clarkson should only get even better. • Lorenzo Brown plays 48 minutes, scores one
Lorenzo Brown played 48 minutes against the Cavs on Saturday with six rebounds, nine assists and three turnovers.

Advice: He's just the second player since 1986 to play 48 minutes in a regulation game and score one or less points (Dennis Rodman). Brown had his one chance to do something tonight, but he'll be back to a reserve role with Ricky Rubio (ankle) coming back on Monday. Rotoworld.com

    • Dennis Schroder gets some SG minutes
Dennis Schroder played 28 minutes against the 76ers on Saturday with 15 points, five rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He played next to Jeff Teague for a nice chunk of minutes and that might continue. The Hawks are a little depleted in their second unit, so Schroder might be able to keep his minutes in the low 20s. That would make him worth a look in 16-team leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Devin Harris scores 12 off bench
Devin Harris played 30 minutes against the Magic on Saturday with 12 points, one rebound, five assists and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He started the second half and he could get some more run if Rajon Rondo (head) needs to miss time. Harris has a nice upside for his output in steals, treys and dimes, so feel free to give him a look as a speculative add in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Mo Williams, Zach LaVine out, Brown starts
Mo Williams (hip) and Zach LaVine (ankle) will not play against the Cavs on Saturday.

Advice: With Ricky Rubio (ankle) out for one more game, it'll be Lorenzo Brown in the starting lineup against Kyrie Irving. Williams shouldn't be out for too long and Rubio will play Monday, so there's no need to add Brown. He's worth a look in DFS, though. Rotoworld.com

    • Zach LaVine (ankle) out for Saturday's game
Zach LaVine (ankle) will not play on Saturday vs. the Cavaliers.

Advice: Mo Williams (hip) is also sidelined, meaning newly acquired Lorenzo Brown will have to play all the minutes he can handle. With Ricky Rubio (ankle) set to return to action on Monday, LaVine is safe to cut in almost all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Zach LaVine (ankle) is a game-time call
Zach LaVine (ankle) is a game-time decision to face the Cavs on Saturday.

Advice: It's going to come down to the wire and the Wolves tend to play things close to the vest most nights. LaVine rolled his ankle badly on Friday, but he was able to return. If he's out and if Mo Williams can't go, it'll be Lorenzo Brown against Kyrie Irving. Rotoworld.com

    • Shelvin Mack (calf) out again on Saturday
Shelvin Mack (calf) will not play vs. the 76ers on Saturday.

Advice: He has increased his activity in practice, but as the the third-string point guard in Atlanta, there's no need to hold onto him in most leagues. Dennis Schroder will continue to see an uptick in minutes behind All-Star Jeff Teague. Rotoworld.com

    • Zach LaVine (ankle) questionable Saturday
Zach LaVine (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game vs. the Cavaliers.

    • Mo Williams, Zach LaVine questionable on Sat
Mo Williams (hip) and Zach LaVine (ankle) are questionable for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers.

Advice: Lorenzo Brown, who just signed a 10-day contract with Minnesota this week, is the only healthy point guard on the roster right now and he could be forced to play big minutes if LaVine and Williams sit out. However, Ricky Rubio is expected to return to action on Monday, so there's no need to consider Brown outside of daily leagues. Check back before tip-off for updates on Minnesota's lineup. • Brooks scores 21 points off the bench
Aaron Brooks scored 21 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 8-of-13 shots (including three treys) with two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 32 minutes.

Advice: Brooks has flown under the radar and now has a month of top-100 value under his belt. During that 17-game span he has averaged 12.5 points, 2.1 threes, 2.2 boards, 2.2 assists with 1.0 combined steals and blocks. He's shooting a bit high at 44.7 percent in that span, but that's his field goal percentage for the year (41.7 percent career). His role seems tenuous and things could change, but those numbers are worthy of a pickup. Rotoworld.com

    • Jarrett Jack scores a career-high 35 points
Jarrett Jack scored a career-high 35 points against the Raptors on Friday, adding eight rebounds, 13 assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: The Nets said they wanted to keep Jack's minutes down, but tonight was the most playing time he's ever had in an NBA game. Deron Williams (ribs) is going to be back at some point, but Jack will likely get minutes in the mid-20s when that happens. He should be owned everywhere. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 7:45 pm
    • Lorenzo Brown plays 23 minutes
Lorenzo Brown played 23 minutes off the bench against the 76ers on Friday with two rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Advice: With Zach LaVine going down due to an ankle injury, Brown had a chance for a revenge game against his 2013-14 team. Although, LaVine did return and Mo Williams could be back for Saturday, so there's little reason to add him. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 6:30 pm
    • Zach LaVine returns from ankle tweak
Zach LaVine returned from an ankle tweak from Friday, finishing with five points, three rebounds, three assists and one steal in 25 minutes.

Advice: He could barely walk due to the third quarter injury, but the team taped him up and put him back on the floor in the fourth quarter. LaVine looked just fine while he was out there, but there's a chance he'll deal with some swelling. Ricky Rubio (ankle) will be back as soon as next week, so fantasy owners should plan on his value taking a hit. Also, if LaVine is out, Lorenzo Brown may start, assuming Mo Williams can't make it back. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 6:26 pm
    • Zach Lavine (ankle) returns to the game
Zach LaVine went to the locker room with a left ankle sprain in the third quarter of Friday's game and did return.

Advice: LaVine was able to hobble back to the locker room under his own power, but he didn't put all of his weight on his foot. He's probably going to have to deal with some swelling, so he'll be up in the air for Saturday. We'll let you know how he looks in the fourth quarter following the game. Rotoworld.com

    • Shabazz Napier set to start Friday vs. Dallas
Shabazz Napier will slide into the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Mavs with Dwyane Wade (hamstring) sidelined.

Advice: Through two starts this season Napier is averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 1.0 three-pointer, and 1.5 steals per game. Napier is someone to consider in deeper leagues, but standard league owners can use a wait-and-see approach with the rookie. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 4:50 pm
    • Norris Cole will not start for Heat vs. Mavs
Norris Cole will not start against the Mavs on Friday.

Advice: He was expected to start, but the Heat will go with their rookie. The first thing that comes to mind here are the trade rumors, so it's possible Cole doesn't play at all. Although, there is no word of a deal yet. Cole is not worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Evan Turner (thumb) will start Friday vs. HOU
Evan Turner (thumb) is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Rockets.

    • Mo Williams will not play, LaVine starting
Mo Williams (personal) will not play against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: Zach LaVine will get another start at point guard. LaVine had one of his best games as a pro on Wednesday and he'll look to keep it going. Williams should be considered as questionable for Saturday against the Cavs. If you're OK with taking some risk because the Wolves will play Lorenzo Brown minutes in the 20s, give LaVine a look as a plug-and-play in a favorable matchup. • Shelvin Mack out again on Friday night
Shelvin Mack (calf) will not play against the Blazers on Friday.

Advice: He has been out since Jan. 17 due to a calf strain. Mack did some work in practice on Thursday, but he doesn't have a target date to return. Expect Dennis Schroder to soak up the backup minutes behind Jeff Teague. Additionally, the Hawks will be less likely to rest their players with Mack not healthy. Rotoworld.com

    • Rumor: Mo Williams available for a draft pick
Minnesota is reportedly willing to give up Mo Williams in exchange for a draft pick.

Advice: Williams has been playing well this season, and his contract will expire when the offseason hits, but a draft pick could prove to be too much for a lot of teams to part with. If Williams is moved before Ricky Rubio returns to action, that will open up the door for Zach LaVine to get all the run he can handle. However, LaVine has squandered opportunity before, so that doesn't necessarily mean much. Rotoworld.com

    • Norris Cole likely to start Friday vs. Dallas
With Dwyane Wade (hamstring) sidelined, it's likely that Norris Cole will slide into the starting lineup for Miami's game against Dallas on Friday, according to beat reporter Ira Winderman.

Advice: While this is just speculation, the move does make sense as it would help combat the quickness of Rajon Rondo and Monta Ellis. Shabazz Napier will also be an option for Erik Spoelstra and we'll be sure to list the starters prior to tip-off. However, Mario Chalmers and Chris Bosh are likely the guys to benefit most with Wade sidelined, and those are the guys that should be targeted in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Fisher praises Galloway, Thomas, Amundson
Knicks' head coach Derek Fisher praised the play of Langston Galloway, Lance Thomas, and Louis Amundson during a recent interview.

Advice: "Those three guys, I think we’ll all just continue to say how impactful they’ve been," Fisher said. "I think you guys are seeing it on the court, I think our locker room is feeling it and I think our fans are feeling it." Galloway, Thomas, and Amundson will remain with the Knicks for the remainder of the season, but Galloway is the only guy who has been able to offer low-end value in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Clarkson being mentored by Steve Nash
Jordan Clarkson said that he had his first face-to-face with Steve Nash on Wednesday, and Nash's words helped him in facing Derrick Rose.

Advice: The Lakers pulled out a surprise win on Thursday, upsetting the Bulls 123-118 in a double overtime victory, and Clarkson was the Lakers' third-leading scorer with 18 points. He also was second in minutes on the night with 43, and it's clear that he's ahead of Jeremy Lin in the rotation, and LA is going to make an effort to develop their rookie. He's capable of providing some low-end stats in standard leagues, so give him a look if you're looking for some points, assists, and steals on the wire. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 6:15 am
    • Jordan Clarkson drops 18 points in 43 minutes
Jordan Clarkson played 43 minutes against the Bulls on Thursday during a double-overtime win, scoring 18 points with four rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

Advice: It's becoming abundantly clear that Clarkson has his starting job locked down. He is a playmaker for the Lakers and they'll need someone like that in their starting unit. Plus, he's been exceptional at beating guys off the dribble in his rookie season. Clarkson won't be a fantasy stud because of his turnovers and sub-par shooting, but the steals and other stats make him worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Aaron Brooks ejected in double-overtime
Aaron Brooks was ejected in double-overtime against the Lakers on Thursday, finishing with 15 points, one rebound, two assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 22 minutes.

Advice: Coach Tom Thibodeau hasn't been bashful about using two-PG lineups and Brooks has played well next to Derrick Rose. Brooks' fantasy value will take a hit once Mike Dunleavy (ankle) comes back, so he's not really a great pickup right now. Although, that could change if Derrick Rose's minor injury becomes something. • Langston Galloway flops in Indiana
Langston Galloway made just 2-of-10 from the field for four points with two rebounds, two assists and no turnovers in 35 minutes against the Pacers on Thursday.

Advice: At least the minutes were there. He's an undrafted rookie, so there were going to be games like this one. Additionally, Galloway has double-digit shots in each of his last six games with at least 31 minutes, as well. He's probably going to be able to score double-digit points with some steals and treys, but the sub-par shooting certainly caps his upside. He's a fringe player to own in standard leagues. • Shelvin Mack (calf) gets up some shots Thurs.
Shelvin Mack (calf) was spotted getting up some shots and going through some court work during Thursday's practice.

Advice: Mack is getting closer towards making a return, but as the third-string point guard on the roster, he's not going to be able to do enough statistically to be worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Evan Turner (thumb) doesn't practice Thursday
Evan Turner (thumb) was not a participant during Thursday's practice.

Advice: Turner played during the Celtics' last game despite the thumb issue, so we'll consider him probable for Friday's game against Houston. However, with a tough matchup against Patrick Beverley, and a busy schedule on Friday, there are probably better options you can plug into your active roster tomorrow. Rotoworld.com

    • Mo Williams (personal) misses practice Thurs.
Mo Williams (personal) was not present during the Timberwolves' practice on Thursday, but he will meet the team in Philadelphia on Friday.

Advice: We'll be considering Williams questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers, as it's not yet known if he has fully recovered from the hip injury he was dealing with earlier in the week. If Williams sits, Zach LaVine would draw the start in a favorable matchup against the Sixers. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Jorge Gutierrez will play Thursday vs Magic
Jorge Gutierrez will play against the Magic on Thursday, according to head coach Jason Kidd.

Advice: Fresh off signing a 10-day contract on Wednesday, Kidd said Gutierrez will be available for Thursday game. "He thinks defense first, and offense comes second," Kidd said about his former player on the Nets. "He finds open guys and gets to basket." Gutierrez isn't likely to see many minutes as a bench player for the Bucks, so he can safely be left on the wire. Rotoworld.com

    • Langston Galloway reminds Melo of Linsanity
Carmelo Anthony said Langston Galloway's recent play reminds him of Linsanity.

Advice: Thinking back to the 2011-12 season, Melo compared Galloway's recent play to Jeremy Lin's magical 35-game run. "I don’t know man, I would say probably ‘Linsanity,’" Anthony said. "[Jeremy Lin] wasn’t a rookie but he was here and he had that mindset of taking the big shot when he first got here." Galloway is averaging 15.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals, and 2.0 treys over his last give games and is a must-own player as long as he's getting consistent minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • Dennis Schroder helps Hawks off bench
Dennis Schroder came off the bench for 13 points, two rebounds, two assists and a 3-pointer on 5-of-8 shooting in just 17 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Nets.

Advice: The Hawks are truly the most unselfish team in the league this season and it seems like one player steps up off the bench to make things happen every game. Tonight it was Schroder, but don't be surprised if he takes a back seat to Mike Scott, Thabo Sefolosha, Kent Bazemore or Pero Antic in the next one. Set your DVR for Feb. 6, when the Hawks host the Warriors at Phillips Arena. Rotoworld.com

    • Jarrett Jack goes for 14 & 13 in loss to ATL
Jarrett Jack had 14 points, five rebounds, 13 assists, two steals and two 3-pointers on 5-of-13 shooting in Wednesday's loss at Atlanta.

Advice: This was Jack's third double-double in January and the 13 dimes marked a season high for a Nets player. He's played well for the most part over the last month, although when he has a bad game, it's usually pretty bad. Deron Williams (ribs) missed his 10th straight game tonight, but seems to be nearing a return. But unless you see him starting and Jack becoming irrelevant, hang onto JJ until further notice. • Langston Galloway stays hot despite Calderon
Langston Galloway started at shooting guard on Wednesday and had 18 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals and three 3-pointers on 7-of-15 shooting in 37 minutes.

Advice: The Knicks picked up their ninth win of the season, which probably ticks Phil Jackson off. Galloway was a little shaky coming into the night with the return of Jose Calderon (knee), but didn't flinch. He's scored in double figures in five straight games, has a steal in four straight, a 3-pointer in six straight, and is averaging 15.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.0 3-pointers over his last five. Make sure he's not available in your leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 10:15 pm
    • Zach LaVine scores 17 points on nine FGAs
Zach LaVine had his best game of 2015 against the Celtics on Wednesday, making 7-of-9 from the field for 17 points with four rebounds, six assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He was in complete control in his 22nd NBA start. LaVine only made 39.0 percent from the field in his previous starts, so this efficient line comes as a huge surprise. Mo Williams (personal, hip) and Ricky Rubio (ankle) should be back soon, so it's hard to grab LaVine in standard leagues as anything more than a stop-gap guy. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 9:54 pm
    • Lorenzo Brown plays 24 minutes
Lorenzo Brown played 24 minutes against the Celtics on Wednesday with 10 points, one rebound, three assists and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Not bad. Brown is only on a 10-day deal and chances are he's going to be off the team once Ricky Rubio (ankle) is ready to go. That is likely to be within the current 10-day deal, so Brown doesn't have a very good outlook next month. He's worth a look in deep leagues for a couple games, though. Rotoworld.com

    • Evan Turner (thumb) good to go Wednesday
Evan Turner (thumb) said that his thumb has improved and that he will play vs. Minnesota.

Advice: X-rays taken on his thumb were negative so this news confirms that the coast is clear for Turner. He has been solid since being named the starting point guard in Boston, and while he is much better in points formats, he's still worth owing in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

Mo Williams (personal) will not play on Wednesday against the Celtics, but will join up with the team on Thursday.

Advice: He has also been battling a hip injury, so Williams probably wouldn't have been able to play anyways. With Ricky Rubio (ankle) still sidelined, rookie Zach LaVine will likely step into the starting lineup while newly acquired Lorenzo Brown could see some action as well. However, neither LaVine or Brown are reliable enough to use outside of deeper leagues, so feel free to leave them on the wire. Rotoworld.com

    • Minnesota have signed Lorenzo Brown
Minnesota has signed guard Lorenzo Brown to a 10-day contract on Wednesday, and he is expected to be available to play against the Celtics.

Advice: The uncertainty surrounding Ricky Rubio's (ankle) return and the latest injury to Mo Williams (hip) may have forced their hand, so Brown may end up seeing some action right out of the gate. There's no need to consider an add outside of ridiculously deep leagues just yet, but we will let you know if he pops up on the fantasy radar. Rotoworld.com

    • Shelvin Mack (calf) out again on Wednesday
Shelvin Mack (calf) will not play on Wednesday against the Nets, but he did say that he would be back soon.

Advice: His return will provide Atlanta with some additional depth to their backcourt, but Mack's role isn't large enough to warrant attention in most leagues. Dennis Schroder will continue to see a small bump in minutes until Mack returns. Rotoworld.com

    • Bucks sign Jorge Gutierrez to 10-day contract
The Bucks have signed Jorge Gutierrez to a 10-day contract on Wednesday.

Advice: He actually played for coach Jason Kidd when he was in Brooklyn, so the move does make some sense. However, Gutierrez likely won't be a big part of the rotation, so owners in most leagues can safely leave him on the wire for now. Also, the Bucks did not have to waive another player in order for this deal to work, as Larry Sander's suspension gave them the ability to add another player. If/when Sanders returns, the Bucks will then have to cut ties with somebody. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Clarkson scores season-high 18 points
The Lakers blew a double-digit lead on Tuesday despite Jordan Clarkson's season-high 18 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one turnover in 37 minutes.

Advice: This game was an outlier in every department for Clarkson -- he approached his season-high in nearly every category and made his first 3-pointer in over six weeks, having gone 0-of-8 in 10 games since Dec. 15. Clarkson is a realistic pickup for anyone needing a PG, as coach Byron Scott has expressed at least a "10 to 15 game" commitment to him as a starter. Rotoworld.com

    • Bucks interested in signing Jorge Gutierrez
The Bucks are planning on signing Jorge Gutierrez to a 10-day contract according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

Advice: Even if he does end up in Milwaukee, Gutierrez likely wouldn't be in the rotation and owners in almost all leagues can safely leave him on the wire. We will let you know if an agreement is reached. Rotoworld.com

    • Norris Cole goes from DNP-CD to 25 minutes
Norris Cole finished Tuesday's loss to the Bucks with seven points on 3-of-7 shooting, one 3-pointer, two rebounds and two assists in 25 minutes.

Advice: He picked up a DNP-CD on Sunday and hadn't played 20 minutes in a game since Jan. 11, but Erik Spoelstra called his number tonight and then leaned on him once Dwyane Wade (hamstring) left in the third quarter. The Pistons are reportedly considering a trade offer for Cole now that Brandon Jennings (Achilles) is done for the season, so this may have been a subtle showcase on Miami's part. Stay tuned. • Pistons now in running to sign Norris Cole
The Pistons are emerging as a suitor for Norris Cole.

Advice: The Pistons just lost Brandon Jennings (Achilles) for the season, so they could definitely use some depth in their backcourt. Cole has found himself out of the rotation in Miami, as they have opted to go with Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier instead. It probably wouldn't take much for the deal to work, but the Hornets are also said to be interested in Cole. We will continue to follow this story closely, but owners in standard leagues can safely leave Cole on the wire for now, as he likely wouldn't start no matter where he ends up. Rotoworld.com

    • Langston Galloway w/ NY for rest of season
Updating a previous report, Langston Galloway has officially signed a contract with the Knicks that will keep him with the team for the remainder of the 2014-15 season.

Advice: Galloway has been logging heavy minutes for a depleted Knicks' team, and he is averaging 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 three-pointers, and 1.1 steals this season. That's good enough for low-end value in standard leagues, and he can only improve if and when Jose Calderon is traded away. Rotoworld.com

    • Knicks, Langston Galloway agree to deal
Langston Galloway has reportedly agreed to a deal that will keep him with the Knicks.

Advice: With Galloway's second 10-day contract set to expire on Tuesday, this move will keep the 23-year-old with the Knicks for at least this season. We don't currently have word if Galloway got the guaranteed contract he had been seeking for 2015-16, but he's worth owning in standard fantasy leagues as long as he continues to see big minutes for the Knicks. • Timberwolves set to sign Lorenzo Brown
The Minnesota Timberwolves are close to signing Lorenzo Brown to a 10-day contract, according to Keith Langlois of Pistons.com.

Advice: The Timberwolves originally drafted Brown and are close to brining the 24-year-old back into the fold. Brown has yet to play above the D-League this season, so he can be left on waiver wires as he won't provide much fantasy value as a bench player. Rotoworld.com

    • Langston Galloway still negotiating w/Knicks
Langston Galloway and the Knicks are having trouble agreeing on a contract and will continue negotiations on Tuesday.

Advice: Galloway's second 10-day contract ends on Tuesday and guaranteed money for next season is reportedly the issue in contract negotiations. Galloway will become a free agent if the two sides are unable to agree on terms and would surely hook on with another team after averaging 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.5 three-pointers in eight games with the Knicks. Whether it's with the Knicks or elsewhere, Galloway is worth owning in standard fantasy leagues as long as he's getting consistent minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • X-rays on Turner's thumb return negative
X-rays taken on Evan Turner's thumb returned negative, but there has been no update on his status for Wednesday's game against the Wolves.

Advice: Turner said he "re-sprained it" and that the "same thing happened three times accidentally by the same dude." Owners of Turner might want to wait-and-see before dropping him and likewise, the Marcus Smart show might have to wait a little bit longer. Rotoworld.com

    • Turner getting thumb X-rayed after Mon's game
Evan Turner left Monday's game and would eventually return after re-injuring his thumb, finishing with nine points on 2-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 21 minutes.

Advice: Turner is getting the thumb X-rayed and this could be the moment they pass the torch between he and Marcus Smart. Or not. Either way, the momentum Turner had been showing in fantasy leagues gets stopped with tonight's outcome and he wasn't a high upside player to begin with in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • LaVine could play a lot on Wednesday
Zach LaVine scored 11 points on 3-of-9 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Advice: LaVine could see some starter's minutes on Wednesday if Mo Williams (hip) doesn't play, but he hasn't proven worthwhile even as a spot-starter in standard leagues this season. Give him a look in DFS leagues, though. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 8:37 pm
    • Mo Williams (hip) questionable for Wednesday
Mo Williams (hip) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.

Advice: Flip Saunders said that he is "pretty questionable" after the way he played on Monday following an apparent hip injury on Sunday. The 1-for-10 shooting performance on Monday certainly reflects that, and this means Zach LaVine (11 points, one three, five boards, one assist, 23 minutes) could be on your radar in DFS games. • Mo Williams hits just 1-of-10 shots vs. OKC
Mo Williams hit just 1-of-10 shots on Monday, finishing with four points, zero rebounds, three assist and two steals.

Advice: Williams can be a feast-or-famine player and as long as Ricky Rubio isn't back owners are probably going to want him in lineups. Rotoworld.com

    • Hornets eyeing Norris Cole, Ramon Sessions
The Hornets are pursuing a trade for Ramon Sessions or Norris Cole.

Advice: The Hornets need a point guard with only Brian Roberts as their only healthy option right now. Both Cole and Sessions have lost a lot of ground on their current teams, especially Cole with rookie Shabazz Napier stepping up. Both guys are not the best stashes and would still likely start behind Brian Roberts. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Clarkson struggles vs Houston, Pat Bev
Jordan Clarkson couldn't get anything going in 28 minutes vs. the Rockets on Sunday, going 2-of-10 from the field to finish with eight points, two assists, one steal and five turnovers.

Advice: Patrick Beverley will have this effect on opposing PGs and Clarkson gets a pass for the dud. Lakers coach Byron Scott said he'll keep his current starting lineup intact for "15 to 20 games" which gives Clarkson a nice window to establish himself. Deep-league owners should already own him, and he's firmly on the radar in all formats. Rotoworld.com

    • Evan Turner has stong game against Warriors
Evan Turner had a strong showing against the Warriors on Sunday, scoring 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting to go with seven boards, seven assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

Advice: Turner has never been known for his efficiency or for his defensive ability, so this line was definitely a pleasant surprise. While he will always be tough to own in standard leagues for his shooting percentages and turnovers, Turner will continue to be a solid asset in points leagues as long as he continues to run the show in Boston. • Mo Williams racks up 20 points w/ full line
Mo Williams piled up 20 points, four 3-pointers, seven rebounds, six assists and one steal in a losing effort vs. the Hawks on Sunday.

Advice: Williams looked spry after skipping Saturday's practice to rest due to general soreness. The veteran PG remains a solid play while starting for Minnesota, but his rest-of-season outlook isn't great. In addition to the impending return of Ricky Rubio, the 7-36 Wolves are likely to turn rookie Zach LaVine loose at some point after the All-Star break. Rotoworld.com

    • Aaron Brooks scores 17 points in 21 minutes
Aaron Brooks was a lone bright spot off the Bulls bench on Sunday, scoring 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting, to go with two rebounds, four 3-pointers, one steal, and two turnovers.

Advice: This is pretty much what you get with Brooks, some scoring, some 3-pointers, and not much else. His value will likely take a hit when Mike Dunleavy eventually returns to the lineup, but until that happens, he'll be able to post some low-end value in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Zach LaVine (elbow) will be available Sunday
Zach LaVine (elbow) will be available for Sunday's game vs. the Hawks.

Advice: With averages of just 8.1 points and 3.5 assists, LaVine can't be considered a viable option in most leagues. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com
      Jan 25, 1:40 pm
    • Shelvin Mack (calf) out Sunday vs. Minnesota
Shelvin Mack (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: Mack has been sidelined since Jan. 17, and he currently is without an official timetable to return. However, he's not a major part of the Hawks' rotation so his absence means very little in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: DET likely to call up Lorenzo Brown
Detroit is reportedly strongly considering calling up Lorenzo Brown from their D-League affiliate.

Advice: Brown would be fighting for reserve minutes with Spencer Dinwiddie, so he'd be unlikely to get enough playing time to matter in most leagues. Until he actually signs a contract, Brown can remain on the waiver wire in all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jarrett Jack is a lone bright spot vs. Jazz
Jarrett Jack scored 16 points with four rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one 3-pointer against the Jazz during a 108-73 loss on Saturday.

Advice: Deron Williams (ribs) could be back at some point, but Jack is just playing too well for his owners to make a proactive cut. He is worth owning in all standard leagues even though there's a chance he's traded for a draft pick. Rotoworld.com
      Jan 24, 9:10 pm
    • Langston Galloway plays 32 minutes in start
Langston Galloway played 32 minutes as the starting point guard against the Hornets on Saturday, scoring 11 points with five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He ran the point a ton tonight, which is something he did in college and in the D-League. Coach Derek Fisher didn't really use Galloway at the point on Friday, so the versatility bodes very well for him. Even if Jose Calderon (knee) returns, Galloway looks like a good bet for 25-30 minutes. He's worth a long look in standard leagues for his upside in steals and treys. Rotoworld.com
      Jan 24, 6:32 pm
    • Coach Byron Scott praises Jordan Clarkson
Coach Byron Scott heaped praise on rookie Jordan Clarkson after his first career start on Friday against the Spurs.

Advice: "I am very happy with the way Jordan played," Scott said. "He just looked like he was very poised and the moment wasn’t too big for him." Clarkson scored 11 points with four assists and three boards, but given his high usage rate he should see his numbers improve with continued opportunity. There is still no word on whether or not his move to the starting lineup is permanent, but the Lakers would be wise to give their younger players a chance to develop in a lost season. Clarkson is worth keeping a close eye on moving forward, so keep him on your radar. Rotoworld.com

    • Clarkson steps in for Lin, posts low-end line
Jordan Clarkson drew the start at point guard for the Lakers on Friday, scoring 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting (no threes) with three rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes.

Advice: This is a successful outing for him in the grand scheme of things but there are a lot of questions in L.A. right now, starting with Jeremy Lin's (DNP-CD) future and then heading right into whether or not Clarkson's game translates into fantasy value. He's a flier at best barring news that he's suddenly the man in charge, but he could quickly capture our attention so stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Langston Galloway scores 15 points vs. Magic
Langston Galloway scored 15 points with eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Magic on Friday during a 113-106 victory.

Advice: He is capable of being the point guard and the Knicks will likely ask him to run the offense more now with Jose Calderon (knee) expected to miss time. Galloway is capable of scoring and there's upside since he can get some steals while adding treys, so he's worth a long look to see if he stays hot. Rotoworld.com

    • Schroder gets hot off the bench against OKC
Dennis Schroder got hot off the bench on Friday against the Thunder, scoring 13 points on 4-of-11 shooting (1-of-5 from deep, 4-of-4 from the line) with four rebounds and five assists in just 18 minutes.

Advice: Schroder isn't going to have value outside of deeper leagues, but lines like this can be filed away for owners to remember. He's a point guard to watch over the next few seasons. Rotoworld.com
      Jan 23, 9:14 pm
    • A New Day: Clarkson, Kelly and Sacre starting
Jordan Clarkson, Wayne Ellington, Ryan Kelly, Jordan Hill and Robert Sacre will start against the Spurs on Friday.

Advice: It's a new day in Lakerland. Clarkson was a ball-dominant guy at summer league and is able of beating his guys off the dribble. The Lakers are likely going to give him some run to see what he has, so he's worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Evan Turner hits game-winning 3-pointer
Evan Turner hit a game-winning corner 3-pointer against the Blazers during the 90-89 victory on Thursday, scoring 10 points with six rebounds, eight assists, one steal, four turnovers and one other 3-pointer in 31 minutes.

Advice: The Celtics snapped their 24-game road losing streak against Western Conference teams tonight and Turner apparently knew his clutch shot was going down. "Not to be arrogant, I did actually," he said. "I prayed prior to it to make a big shot. And it happened." Turner has actually been effective on his corner 3-pointers, making 10-of-20 from there on the year. Clutch shot aside, he's still a questionable player to own in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

Jarrett Jack didn't have it on Thursday during a 123-84 loss to the Clippers, making 3-of-11 from the field for seven points with one rebound, three assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.

Advice: He didn't play in the fourth quarter with the Nets already down 40 points. Jack is logging major minutes and was at 40.0 per game in his previous two, so he's a must-start player right now due to his output in points, assists, steals and treys. Rotoworld.com

    • Jarrett Jack has another nice effort in win
Jarrett Jack had a productive game in a 103-100 win at Sacramento on Wednesday with 16 points, four rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 39 minutes.

Advice: Deron Williams (ribs) is going to miss at least the next three games and there's a decent chance we don't see him this month. Even once he does return. Jack's minutes should be safe in the 20s and he'll likely start, as well. He should be owned everywhere. Rotoworld.com
