      Quickley agreed to sign a five-year, $175 million contract with the Raptors on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: The Raptors acquired the 25-year-old from the Knicks in December, and he turned up his game in Toronto as he started in all 38 appearances. Quickley averaged 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 0.9 steals in 33.3 minutes while shooting 39.5 percent from deep for the Raptors.       Advice: Denver is effectively salary-dumping the veteran guard to Charlotte to create financial flexibility. It's possible the Hornets will attempt to ship Jackson off elsewhere, though he would add a veteran presence to a team looking to transition from rebuilding to being competitive.       ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Kings have traded Davion Mitchell, Sasha Vezenkov and the 45th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft for Jalen McDaniels.

      Advice: Vezenkov only logged 12.2 minutes per game as a rookie, but he could see an increase in playing time for the rebuilding Raptors. Mitchell averaged nearly 28 minutes per game as a rookie, but his playing time has declined in each of the last two seasons. Both players were afterthoughts off of Sacramento’s bench, but they may see new opportunities in Toronto. Neither player, however, is worth drafting in 12-team fantasy leagues next season.       The Knicks announced Thursday that McBride underwent a procedure of the pinky toe on his right foot earlier this week, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: The team didn't provide an official timeline for McBride's recovery, but he's expected to resume full basketball activities later in the summer, which puts him on track to be ready to go for the start of training camp in the fall. During his third NBA season in 2023-24, McBride struggled to find consistent playing time early in the campaign when the Knicks were in better health, but he took on a sizable role as injuries began to pile up over the course of the season. After the All-Star break, McBride appeared in 39 of the Knicks' 40 games (including playoffs) and averaged 11.7 points, 2.5 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 2.2 three-pointers in 29.6 minutes per contest. Though he excelled in a supporting role when given major minutes, McBride will likely see a stark drop in playing time in 2024-25 with the Knicks having acquired Mikal Bridges and re-signed OG Anunoby (hamstring) this offseason.
