    • Sniffs triple-double in loss
James ended with 26 points (9-19 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), eight rebounds, 12 assists, two blocks and two steals over 38 minutes during Monday's 101-99 loss to the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: James finished just two rebounds shy of a triple-double Monday, and even though the 39-year-old forward is competing at a high level, it seems the Lakers keep falling short against Denver. James has recorded at least 25 points, six rebounds and eight assists in the first two games of the series, and he should continue to have a high usage rate during Game 3 on Thursday. • LeBron James tallies 26 points, 12 assists Monday
LeBron James finished Monday’s 101-99 loss to Denver with 26 points (9-of-19 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, two blocks, and three 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

Advice: After committing seven turnovers in Game 1, LeBron was only responsible for two in Game 2. He did what he could in the fourth quarter, shooting 5-of-9 from the field, but the Lakers appeared to run out of gas. That impacted the cohesion of their offense, and Denver successfully walked them down, with Jamal Murray’s shot at the buzzer being the difference. The two nights off will be massive for James and the Lakers, who had to navigate a Play-In game to get into the playoffs. Game 3 is on Thursday night in Los Angeles, with the Nuggets holding a 2-0 series lead. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:20 pm
    • Gets green light
James (ankle) will play in Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.

Advice: James was initially added to the team's injury report as probable, so this update was expected. He'll need to be a key piece of the puzzle again in Game 2 for the Lakers to have a chance to steal a win on the road. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:34 pm
    • LeBron James, Anthony Davis probable for Monday
LeBron James (left ankle peroneal tendinopathy) and Anthony Davis (low back soreness) are probable for Monday’s game against the Nuggets.

Advice: Given the stakes, James and Davis will be available for Monday’s Game 2. They’re still showing up on the injury report, more so because the Lakers need to cover themselves regarding league injury reporting news than anything else. The Lakers will look to even the series at one win apiece on Monday before the scene shifts to Los Angeles for Game 3. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:36 pm
    • Does it all in triple-double
Tatum notched 23 points (7-18 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 10 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals in 41 minutes during Sunday's 114-94 victory over Miami in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: Tatum did a little bit of everything for Boston in its Game 1 victory, leading all players in rebounds and assists while pacing the Celtics in scoring along with a pair of steals. The triple-double was Tatum's first of the 2023-24 season. During the regular season, he surpassed 10 assists in one game while hauling in 10 or more boards 24 times. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:19 pm
    • Probable for Game 2
James (ankle) is probable for Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: James continues to deal with left ankle peroneal tendinopathy, but he'll likely be able to play through the issue once again Monday as the Lakers attempt to even their first-round series. In Saturday's Game 1 loss, James tallied 27 points, eight assists, six rebounds, a steal and a block in 41 minutes. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:04 pm
    • Jayson Tatum notches triple-double vs. Heat Sunday
Jayson Tatum shot 7-of-18 from the field and a perfect 8-of-8 from the foul line. He totaled 23 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and made one 3-pointer.

Advice: Tatum didn’t shoot particularly well from the field or beyond the arc but did a little bit of everything to stuff the stat sheet. He led all Celtics in points, rebounds, and assists. Rotoworld Sunday, 12:30 pm
    • Cools off as Game 1 progresses
James produced 27 points (10-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal across 41 minutes during Saturday's 114-103 loss to the Nuggets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: James was absolutely dominant in the first half, and his play was instrumental in giving the Lakers a three-point lead at the halftime break. However, he cooled off a bit in the second half, though that was mostly because the Nuggets tightened things up defensively against him. James usually finds a way to adjust, and he should continue to operate as the Lakers' main offensive option in Game 2 on Monday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:55 pm
    • LeBron James has poor second half, commits 7 TOs
LeBron James finished Saturday’s loss to Denver with 27 points (10-of-16 FG), six rebounds, eight assists, a steal, a block and three triples across 40 minutes.

Advice: To the casual observer of the final box score, James’ performance wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t what Los Angeles needed to defeat the juggernaut Nuggets. James went into halftime with 19 points and his team up three. He finished with just eight second-half points, two of which came in the final seconds with the game well out of reach. James was efficient from the field and got teammates involved, but he also committed seven turnovers and was deferential when his team needed him to take over. King James averaged 27.8 points, 10.0 rebounds and 9.5 assists in the Western Conference Finals sweep to Denver last season, but his Achilles heel in that series was late-game play. He’ll need to correct that if his team hopes to steal a rare win at Ball Arena in Game 2. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:02 pm
