    • Devin Harris hurts right hand, getting X-rays
Devin Harris hurt his right hand on Thursday and is getting X-rays.

Advice: The injury occurred late in the game and hopefully Harris is going to be OK. If he does need to miss time, J.J. Barea and maybe Raymond Felton would get more playing time. There's no need to make a speculative add, though. Harris finished with seven points, three rebounds and two steals on Thursday. Rotoworld.com

    • Dorell Wright scores eight in 13 minutes
Dorell Wright scored eight points in 13 minutes during Thursday's 94-75 win over the Mavs, adding one rebound, one assist and two 3-pointers.

Advice: With Wes Matthews (Achilles) out for the season, Wright might step up. However, we've seen this movie before with role players for Stotts. Basically, Arron Afflalo is going to step into Matthews' minutes while Wright, Alonzo Gee, C.J. McCollum and Steve Blake will get Afflalo's 27 minutes. Wright isn't worth owning in standard leagues. • Damian Lillard scores 14 points in win
Damian Lillard turned it around late against the Mavs on Thursday during a 94-75 win, finishing with 14 points, six rebounds, five assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: He did turn the ball over five times and his scoring still wasn't quite right after going 1-of-13 from the field on Wednesday. Lillard has gone on slumps before, but now the Blazers are going to need him even more with Wesley Matthews (Achilles) going down. Rotoworld.com

    • Wesley Matthews suffers torn left Achilles
Wesley Matthews suffered a torn left Achilles tendon on Thursday and will miss the rest of the season.

Advice: Ugh. Matthews was leading the NBA in 3-pointers just last month and has been a big reason why the Blazers are looking for a top-four seed in the Western Conference. He has the nickname Ironman because he had a consecutive games played streak of 250 earlier in his career and now his 142 consecutive games played streak will come to an end. This is a crippling blow for Matthews who will enter free agency coming off a bad injury. We're rooting for him to be out on the court in October. Arron Afflalo should be owned in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum grabs season-high 12 boards
Nicolas Batum grabbed a season-high 12 boards against the Mavericks on Thursday with 15 points, six assists, one block and two 3-pointers.

Advice: A healthy Batum is going to offset the loss of Wesley Matthews (foot). Batum has suddenly become the player his fantasy owners were hoping for, averaging 12.2 points, 6.2 boards, 6.2 dimes, 1.0 blocks, 1.2 steals and 2.2 treys on 48.8 percent from the field and 100 percent from the line. If you bought low, pat yourself on the back. Rotoworld.com

    • Arron Afflalo plays 29 minutes in a victory
Arron Afflalo didn't play well against the Mavs on Thursday, making 2-of-9 from the field for six points with three rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes.

Advice: Unfortunately for the Blazers, Wesley Matthews (Achilles) is out for the season. That means Afflalo is likely looking at minutes in the 30s and he should resume Matthews' role as a floor-spacing trey man. The Blazers are second in the NBA an 3-point attempts on the season and Afflalo is a career 39 percent shooter from deep, so it makes sense for him to play big minutes. He should be owned in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Dirk Nowitzki looks slow on Thursday
Dirk Nowitzki looked a little tired against the Blazers on Thursday during a 94-75 loss with 10 points on 5-of-13 from the field, adding four rebounds and one steal in 27 minutes.

Advice: He just doesn't look right. In his last five, Nowitzki made just 41.5 percent from the field for averages of 13.2 points, 6.4 boards, 1.4 assists and 1.4 treys. Owner Mark Cuban has said before he's totally fine with resting guys, so there is a very good chance Dirk sits in a road game at Golden State tomorrow. His owners will have to check back. • Tyson Chandler scores four with 14 boards
Tyson Chandler returned from a hip injury on Thursday with four points, 14 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 28 minutes.

Advice: He looked fine despite having one of his worst shooting games, making 1-of-4 from the field. It's a good sign to see Chandler already close to 30 minutes after missing three games, so he should have a better performance against the Warriors on Friday. Rotoworld.com

    • Rajon Rondo flirts with a triple-double
Rajon Rondo flirted with a triple-double against the Blazers on Thursday with 10 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, one steal and four turnovers no 5-of-13 from the field.

Advice: He hit a couple jumpers in the fourth quarter and perhaps the Dallas shooting coach is helping him there. Rondo is going to be a huge reclamation project and made just 30.8 percent of his mid-range shots before tonight this season. His fantasy owners have to be hoping better lines are on the way. • POR concerned of serious Wes Matthews injury
The Blazers are significantly concerned about the seriousness of a lower leg injury to Wesley Matthews (leg) and he will have an MRI.

Advice: It doesn't sound good. There are a lot of things that went wrong and based on the TNT report that Matthews was banging his fist on his way to the locker room suggests that the training staff gave him some bad news. Hopefully this is wrong about one of the easiest guys to root for in the NBA, but he could be out for the season. Arron Afflalo should be picked up in all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Wesley Matthews (left foot) will not return
Wesley Matthews suffered a left foot injury on Thursday and will not return.

Advice: He could not put any weight on it following a non-contact injury and had the training staff help him to the locker room. It didn't look like he rolled his ankle, which means he could have suffered some sort of Achilles issue. The TNT report suggested Matthews is going to be out for some time, so go ahead and add Arron Afflalo in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Aaron Brooks slows down against the Thunder
Aaron Brooks made just 2-of-8 from the field against the Thunder on Thursday for six points with three rebounds and seven assists in 24 minutes.

Advice: He attempted a whopping 23 shots in Tuesday and has at least 15 shots from the field in each of his last three games. Brooks lost a decent chunk of playing time because of the E'twaun Moore Show, but it's unclear if that show will get another episode after its pilot tonight. Brooks is still worth owning in standard leagues and gets a better matchup against the Pacers on Friday. Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook scores 43 without trip-dub
Russell Westbrook's consecutive triple-double streak was snapped against the Bulls in a 108-105 loss on Thursday, scoring 43 points with eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and three 3-pointers.

Advice: That's still a ridiculous line and he now has three consecutive games of scoring at least 40. Westbrook was the OKC offense today, making 14-of-32 from the field and 12-of-15 from the line to give him an absurd usage rate of 50.5. Kobe Bryant has the record for usage rate in a season at 38.7 in 2005-06, but Westbrook has a legitimate chance to top him with his 38.1 entering tonight even before this monster game. In his last four games, he's averaged 42.8 points, 12.8 boards, 9.8 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.3 treys. He's a one-man offense. Rotoworld.com

D.J. Augustin scored 10 points on 4-of-7 from the field against the Bulls on Thursday with one rebound, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

Advice: After three really inefficient scoring games with OKC to start of his run with them, he's really picked it up. In his last five, Augustin averaged 12.8 points, 4.0 boards, 3.4 dimes, 1.2 steals and 1.8 treys on 46.0 percent from the field and 100 percent from the line. He should be worth owning in standard leagues until Kevin Durant (foot) gets back. Rotoworld.com

    • Resurgence: Serge Ibaka scores 25 in loss
Serge Ibaka bounced back in loss to the Bulls on Thursday with 25 points, nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks in 46 minutes.

Advice: He somehow only had two points and two boards against the 76ers on Wednesday, but filled the stat sheet tonight. Ibaka was magnificent in his other games since the break, averaging 15.9 points, 10.4 boards, 3.3 blocks and 0.5 steals in his previous eight games. Ibaka is one of the best power forwards in the NBA for fantasy and has missed just three games in his last five seasons. Rotoworld.com

Tyson Chandler (hip) will start against the Blazers on Thursday.

Advice: He was expected to play yesterday and he should be ready to go for a full amount of minutes. Al-Farouq Aminu should still get a lot of Chandler Parsons' minutes even though Richard Jefferson is starting. Rotoworld.com

Updating a previous report, Tyson Chandler (hip) will play Thursday vs. the Trail Blazers.

Advice: Chandler has been sidelined for the past two games, but he'll return to the starting lineup tonight for what should be an exciting uptempo game against Portland. Bernard James will head back to the bench with this news, and his demotion to the second unit will make him a non-factor in nearly all leagues. Get Tyson active. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: Contenders again checking in on McGee
Playoff teams around the league are again checking in with JaVale McGee after contract talks with the Boston Celtics fell through.

Advice: The Warriors, Mavericks, Raptors, Spurs, Heat, and Bulls have all expressed interest in signing McGee, but he's not likely to earn enough minutes in the rotation with any of those clubs to be able to produce any reliable value in most fantasy leagues. McGee reportedly wants a player option for next season (which is the reason his contract talks fell apart in Boston), and it'll be interesting to see if any of these contending teams cater to his demands. Advice: Head coach Rick Carlisle said "it's looking good," for Chandler suiting up for tonight's game, a move that will send Bernard James back to the bench and to irrelevancy in most leagues. Go ahead and get Chandler in your active lineups. Rotoworld.com

Updating a previous report, JaVale McGee will not be heading to Boston.

Advice: The two sides apparently couldn't come to an agreement on the terms of McGee's contract, so he will seek employment elsewhere. McGee is averaging a meager 4.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 0.9 blocks on the season, and unless your league awards points for appearances on Shaqtin' a Fool, McGee belongs on the waiver wire. Advice: Thibodeau added that Rose has been riding a stationary bike, but it doesn't sound like he'll be traveling with the team to Indianapolis or San Antonio. Rose is planning on returning this season, but it's unlikely he'll return in time to make enough a dent in fantasy leagues and can be left on the waiver wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Danny Ainge explains JaVale McGee signing
While the signing still isn't official, Celtics president Danny Ainge explained his thought process in pursuing JaVale McGee.

Advice: "I probably shouldn’t touch on that yet since it’s still in the works, but that report is accurate," Ainge said. "Javale is a long, athletic guy. We don’t have that type of player. Above the rim, he’s an offensive and defensive player." Once the signing is official, McGee will join a crowded frontcourt alongside Brandon Bass, Tyler Zeller, and Kelly Olynyk, but he's worth a flier in deeper leagues as he could get decent run. Russell Westbrook (face) said he has no issues with his protective mask that he wore during Wednesday's win over the 76ers.

Advice: Westbrook recorded his fourth consecutive triple-double Wednesday night and the mask did little to hamper his efforts. "I mean, it was weird, obviously, [I] kept wiping it and it was a total, big process of trying to keep everything from not falling and all this stuff," he said. "But that's not going to stop me. My job is to come out there and lead my team." There's not much else to say about Westbrook right now other than that he should be cemented in every fantasy lineup. Rotoworld.com

    • Celtics close to signing JaVale McGee
The Boston Celtics are reportedly close to signing JaVale McGee.

Advice: McGee has had a fair share of suitors since being released by the 76ers, but it looks like he'll end up in Celtic green on a deal that will reportedly be through the 2015-16 season. McGee will join a crowded Celtics frontcourt of Tyler Zeller, Brandon Bass, Kelly Olynyk, so the fantasy fallout from this move is more of a downgrade for all four players than it is an upgrade for any. Chris Paul hit 14-of-29 shots and two 3-pointers for 36 points, six rebounds, 12 assists and a steal in Wednesday's overtime loss to the Blazers.

Advice: Paul is on fire, averaging 26.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 13.0 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.4 3-pointers on 53 percent shooting over his last five games. Boo-ya. Rotoworld.com

Damian Lillard hit just 1-of-13 shots and was 0-for-7 from downtown for five points, but added a career-high 18 rebounds to go along with four assists in Wednesday's overtime win against the Clippers.

Advice: Lillard also had five turnovers, but the rebounds helped make up for an off night. He averaged 30 points over his last two games, so there's really no reason to panic about this one. The Blazers currently hold the No. 3 seed in the West, while the Clippers hold the No. 5 seed after tonight's loss. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum fuels Blazers win over Clips
Nicolas Batum hit a 3-pointer to force overtime and then threw three alley-oops and hit a dagger 3-pointer to win the game for the Blazers over the Clippers on Wednesday.

Advice: He finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, a steal, two blocks and four 3-pointers on 6-of-11 shooting. Talk about efficiency. That makes four straight wins for the Blazers, and while Batum has been frustrating to own at times this season, lines like this one makes it easy to forget. Rotoworld.com

Draymond Green broke out of a funk with a monster line on Wednesday, racking up 23 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three steals, three blocks and four 3-pointers on 9-of-14 shooting in a win over the Bucks.

Advice: While we've been the biggest supporters of Dray's run this season of anyone we've seen, even Rotoworld was a bit surprised by this line. Green had just three points on Monday, but is still averaging 14.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 2.4 steals, 2.0 blocks and 1.8 3-pointers over his last five. Beast. Rotoworld.com

Alexis Ajinca stepped up in his 23 minutes off the bench on Wednesday during an 88-85 win over the Pistons, scoring 10 points with 11 boards, two assists and one block.

Advice: Apparently he's still going to get minutes because of Ryan Anderson (knee) being out. Ajinca has arguably been more consistent than Omer Asik and maybe he can play minutes in the 20-24 range. Give him a look in deeper leagues, but owners in standard leagues should be able to do better. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Gordon slows down vs. Detroit
Eric Gordon scored just four points with two assists, one steal, two blocks and one 3-pointer against the Pistons on Wednesday.

Advice: He scored at least 18 points each of his three previous games with 3.7 treys per game. Obviously Gordon's usage took a nosedive with the return of Anthony Davis, but he should still be able to score in the teens with over two treys per game. He's worth owning in standard leagues. Serge Ibaka fouled out during a 123-118 overtime win over the 76ers on Wednesday, finishing with two points, two boards and four blocks in 31 minutes.

Advice: He was coming in as one of the hottest power forwards from a stat production standpoint, averaging 17.9 points, 11.6 boards and 3.1 blocks in his previous seven games since the All-Star break. Ibaka should be a first-round guy until Kevin Durant (foot) gets back and is likely going to be a top-20 player upon KD's return, too. Rotoworld.com

D.J. Augustin scored 17 points off the bench against the 76ers on Wednesday with four rebounds, two assists, two steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: It was one of his better games with OKC and he's going to have a chance to produce next to Russell Westbrook. Augustin will see his chances to shoot decrease in a big way upon the return of Kevin Durant (foot), but he should be worth owning in standard leagues until then. Rotoworld.com

Jordan Clarkson hit just 3-of-11 shots, but still had 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists and a 3-pointer in the Lakers loss to Miami on Wednesday.

Advice: Jeremy Lin is outplaying Clarkson right now off the bench, but Clarkson is still averaging 15.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.4 3-pointers over his last five games, shooting 49 percent from the floor. Rotoworld.com

Danilo Gallinari played 32 minutes against the Wolves during a 100-85 win on Wednesday with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He basically played the entire game and didn't check out until 1:15 left. Gallinari has his minutes limit lifted right now and he's been putting up good numbers over his last five, averaging 19.2 points, 5.0 boards, 1.0 steals and 3.2 treys. • Bro-Lo plays just 19 minutes in ugly loss
Brook Lopez scored just eight points on 2-of-7 shooting and added three rebounds and a block in 19 minutes of playing time in Wednesday's ugly loss to the Hornets.

Advice: Yes, it was a blowout, but the Nets' box score is still a mess. Lopez had 26 points off the bench him Monday's shocking win over the Warriors, but all the good they did in that game will be overshadowed by the no-show they had against the Hornets, who zipped past them for the final playoff spot tonight. Mason Plumlee started, as usual, and had 11 points and seven rebounds, but didn't have a block on the night. Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook triple-doubles, scores 49
Russell Westbrook returned from a facial fracture on Wednesday and had a ridiculous triple-double against the 76ers during a 123-118 overtime win, scoring a career-high 49 points with 16 boards, 10 assists, three steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 42 minutes.

Advice: Where do we begin? He logged his fourth consecutive triple-double to become the first player since Michael Jordan to do that, became just the third player to log consecutive 40-point triple-doubles in NBA history (Jordan and Pete Maravich), had a career high in boards, and became the second player in the past 30 seasons to drop a 45-15-10 line (Vince Carter). Russell Westbrook (face) will not have a minutes restriction on Wednesday against the 76ers.

    • Tyson Chandler (hip) probable for Thursday
Tyson Chandler (hip) is probable to play against the Blazers on Thursday.

Advice: He needed three games to get over his hip injury and should be ready to go. Chandler's numbers fell off a tad in February, averaging 10.1 points, 10.8 boards and 0.8 blocks in 29.4 minutes per game. He should be a good bet for a double-double in an up-tempo game on Thursday. Bernard James will move to the bench and may not play at all. Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook (face) will play Wednesday
Russell Westbrook (face) will play vs. the 76ers on Wednesday.

Advice: He still has some swelling and discomfort in his face, but it's a fantastic sign if the Thunder are going to allow him to play against the lowly 76ers. Westbrook is arguably the hottest player in the NBA right now and is coming off three straight triple-doubles, so his owners have to be feeling pretty good about themselves right about now. D.J. Augustin will shift to the bench and can be dropped outside of deeper leagues. 76ers' PG Isaiah Canaan should be trembling right now. Rotoworld.com

    • Raptors have interest in C JaVale McGee
The Raptors are reportedly interested in acquiring JaVale McGee once he clears waivers on Wednesday evening.

Advice: The Heat and Mavericks are also said to be interested, but McGee wouldn't have a large enough role on any team to be a factor in most fantasy leagues. We will continue to follow this story closely, but it's safe to leave McGee on the wire. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Love (illness) good to go on Wednesday
Kevin Love had to receive an IV after Tuesday's game vs. the Celtics and said that he may have food poisoning, but he will play against the Raptors on Wednesday.

Advice: It clearly doesn't sound like Love is 100 percent, but his owners can safely keep him in all active lineups today in a huge matchup with Toronto. Love scored just 12 points with eight boards in a blowout victory over the Celtics on Tuesday, so hopefully he will be a little more involved on offense tonight. Rotoworld.com

The Nuggets snapped their losing streak with a win vs. the Bucks on Tuesday, led by Danilo Gallinari's game-high 26 points, four 3-pointers, seven rebounds, one steal and one block.

Advice: Gallo's re-emergence is one of the best stories in recent weeks. Since the All-Star break he's averaging 17.0 points, 2.8 threes, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals as a go-to scorer for the Nuggets, and he should be owned in all fantasy leagues despite his very real injury risk. Gallo even scored efficiently for once, hitting 8-of-16 field goals and 6-of-6 free throws in the much-needed home victory. Rotoworld.com

    • Aaron Brooks scores 22 points vs. Washington
Aaron Brooks finally got going vs. the Wizards on Tuesday, scoring 22 points with a pair of 3-pointers, two rebounds, eight assists and one steal.

Advice: Tony Snell joined the starting lineup tonight in Chicago's 20th different starting five of the season, their most since the 2007-08 season, but the resilient Bulls still pulled out a victory without Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler or Taj Gibson. Brooks was inefficient tonight, shooting 8-of-23 from the field, but he's a worthwhile gamble if you're in need of PG production. Rotoworld.com

Jordan Clarkson had 19 points, one 3-pointer, four assists and one steal in Tuesday's road loss in Charlotte, making 9-of-19 shots including a critical driving layup with nine seconds remaining.

Advice: The Lakers want Clarkson to play in Summer League but he's rapidly developing into a reliable NBA point guard. "I'm still real excited about Jordan Clarkson," Byron Scott said in late February. "I keep getting excited about that kid because his growth is getting better and better." Fantasy owners can say the same thing, and he deserves to be owned in standard leagues with averages of 14.0 points, 0.9 threes, 3.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 16 starts this season. • Kevin Love plays through illness vs. Boston
Kevin Love (illness) decided to play at the last minute on Tuesday and he made 4-of-10 shots to finish with two 3-pointers, eight rebounds, three assists and one block in 25 minutes.

Advice: It wasn't his best game but the Cavs didn't need more from him and he posted a +/- rating of +25 in the blowout victory. He'll be ready to go vs. the Raptors on Wednesday and his fantasy owners should only be concerned about Cleveland's brutal two-game slate in Week 23 (March 30 - April 5). Rotoworld.com

    • Report: MIA also interested in JaVale McGee
The Miami Heat are reportedly interested in bringing on JaVale McGee.

Advice: McGee is due to clear waivers on Wednesday, and we'll be following this story closely. So far the Mavs and Heat have been reported to have interest in acquiring McGee's services, but the sense is that there are more teams out there also intrigued by McGee. To be clear, we don't expect him to offer any fantasy value to owners in most leagues regardless of where he lands. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young (knee) targeting return on Sunday
Nick Young (knee) will remain sidelined for Tuesday's game vs. the Hornets and he's targeting a return on Sunday.

Advice: This will be Young's fourth consecutive game on the sidelines, and a Sunday return would cause him to miss two more games on Wednesday and Friday. While he's out there will be more opportunities on offense for Wayne Ellington, Jeremy Lin, and Wes Johnson. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Love (illness) a game-time decision
Kevin Love (illness) is headed for a game-time decision for Tuesday's matchup with the Celtics.

Advice: Love was previously listed as probable despite not being able to go through Tuesday morning's shootaround, but he’s now looking at a game-time decision. If he's unable to go, Tristan Thompson would likely slide into the starting lineup, and he's be worth a look as a plug-and-play option in daily leagues. LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and J.R. Smith would also have more opportunities on offense. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: DAL interested in adding JaVale McGee
The Mavericks are reportedly "seriously interested" in signing JaVale McGee.

Advice: While the Mavericks have significant interest in McGee, it's being reported that the list of interested teams stretches well beyond Dallas, which is a rather strange sentence to write. McGee couldn't earn significant minutes playing for the 76ers, so he's going to have difficulty leaving the bench on an actual championship contender. We'll be monitoring this situation closely, but he won't have any fantasy value in standard leagues regardless of where he lands. Rotoworld.com

    • Tyson Chandler (hip) will travel on road trip
Tyson Chandler (hip) will travel with the Mavs on their upcoming three-game road trip.

Advice: Chandler has missed the Mavs' previous three games with a hip injury, and we'll be considering him questionable for Thursday's game vs. the Trail Blazers. If he's unable to go, Bernard James will have an opportunity to slide into the starting lineup, but with averages of just 3.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game as a starter his value is limited to deeper leagues. • Nick Young questionable for Tuesday
Nick Young (knee) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: Young didn't participate in Tuesday's shootaround and Lakers' head coach Byron Scott said he'll see how Swaggy P feels later in the day before making a final decision. While Young doesn't belong on any standard league fantasy rosters, his eventual return will cut into the fantasy value of Wayne Ellington, Jeremy Lin, and Wes Johnson. Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook likely to return Wednesday
Russell Westbrook (face) is likely to return to action as soon as Wednesday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Advice: This isn't set in stone just yet, but Westbrook is expected to play with a protective mask on Wednesday barring an unforeseen setback. We'll update his status after Wednesday's shootaround, but Westbrook's owners can feel free to slot him back into their lineups while D.J. Augustin will return to the bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Love misses Tuesday shootaround
Kevin Love (illness) missed Tuesday's shootaround, but is probable for Tuesday's game against the Celtics.

Advice: While the Cavs told Love to stay home for Tuesday morning's shootaround, the good news for his fantasy owners is that he is still listed as probable to face the Celtics. We'll update Love's status as soon as more information becomes available, but Tristan Thompson would be in line for a value boost if Love's status is downgraded. Rotoworld.com

    • Rondo gets aggressive with 19 points in win
Rajon Rondo was a bit more aggressive in the Mavs' 102-93 win over the Pelicans on Monday, scoring 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes.

Advice: Rondo did not get a steal and the assist numbers are down, but anything attached to the word 'aggression' should be viewed as a good thing. If he was dropped in an 8-cat league now is probably the time to take a chance on him, since the run-in with Rick Carlisle could produce a turnaround, if that's indeed in the cards. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Gordon posts 18-5-4 line with four treys
Eric Gordon's surprising surge continued in Monday's loss to the Mavs as he scored 18 points on 4-of-11 shooting (including four treys) with five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block.

Advice: The production isn't surprising as he's been doing this for a while now, posting a top 50-80 month (8/9 cat) with no end in sight. The fact that he has been consistent and healthy is the good part, and it's nice to see him carry some of the weight from that ugly contract the Pelicans signed him to. Tyreke Evans added 17 points, three boards, seven assists, one steal and one three in the loss. Rotoworld.com

    • Ajinca double-doubles with a steal and block
Alexis Ajinca kept his foot on the gas with Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson out on Monday, scoring 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting with 12 rebounds, one steal and one block in 25 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Ajinca has paid off with top-50 value over the last two weeks and with the Pelicans' durability issues he has a sneaky shot at finishing the year strong. There have been vague reports not necessarily altering Davis' 1-2 week timeline from about seven days ago, but we'll be watching closely to see if Ajinca can survive his return. Rotoworld.com

    • CP3 drops 26 and 14 on the Wolves in win
Chris Paul scored 26 points on 12-of-20 shooting with four rebounds, 14 assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in Monday's win over the Wolves.

Advice: Paul has fallen into the category of used toy this season and is getting practically no MVP buzz despite another excellent season. In fantasy terms, he's still a top-half of the first round guy whenever he has stepped on the floor. Rotoworld.com

    • Lopez scores 26 points; Jack hits game-winner
Brook Lopez scored 26 points off the bench in Monday's win over the Warriors, hitting 11-of-22 shots with six rebounds and one block in 26 minutes.

Advice: Lopez is a threat to do this on any given night but the problem is that he is also putting up way too many duds. The result is a top 85-95 value over the last month and the only good news is that he's staying on the floor. Jarrett Jack joined the party with a pretty jumper to win the game in the final moments. • Green plays on Monday against the Nets
Draymond Green played on Monday against the Nets despite words from Steve Kerr indicating he'd prefer to rest him, and finished with three points, 11 boards, four assists, two steals and one block.

Advice: Nothing to see here, folks. We'll let you know if we hear anything about rest and he should remain locked into lineups. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 8:06 pm
    • Kerr wants to play Draymond Green less Monday
Steve Kerr said he would like to get Draymond Green some rest after playing 44 minutes on Sunday, but added tonight's matchup probably won't allow it.

Advice: In other words, it looks like Green will play, but it might only be 30-33 minutes. To be clear it's all a guessing game right now, but owners in standard leagues should start Green as of right now. If you're in DFS, steering clear of Dray makes the most sense. Rotoworld.com

Nick Young (knee) is questionable to play against the Hornets on Tuesday.

Advice: He's been out for three games with swelling in his left knee, which was a problem for him earlier this season. Young has also been in the news for his off-the-court comments regarding his girlfriend, Iggy Azalea. Young can be left on the wire in most leagues while his possible return may hurt Wes Johhson, Jeremy Lin and Wayne Ellington the most. Rotoworld.com

      Sixers waive C JaVale McGee.

    • Tyson Chandler, Chandler Parsons out Monday
Tyson Chandler (hip) and Chandler Parsons (ankle) are both out against the Pelicans.

Advice: The Mavericks could once again go small with Dirk Nowitzki at center while starting J.J. Barea alongside both Rajon Rondo and Monta Ellis in the backcourt, but it's also conceivable the team goes with a more traditional look and starts Bernard James at center. As for Parsons, Richard Jefferson should once again draw the start, and he's averaging 10.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 triples over eight games (29 minutes in that role). Rotoworld.com

    • Lillard: Things 'starting to turn around' now
Damian Lillard said "things are starting to turn around" when asked if February was the worst shooting slump of his career.

Advice: Lillard averaged 20.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.7 triples over nine February games, so it's not like he was completely useless. However, his 26.3 percent mark from deep was not typical, and that marked the second straight month he was under 30 percent from downtown. Lillard has started March at 60 percent from behind the 3-point line, but it's worth noting he's shooting a career-low 34.4 percent from distance while averaging a career-high 7.2 attempts per game. We know he won't stop shooting them. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Rose says he'll return this season
Derrick Rose (knee) said that he would return this season.

Advice: Rose has already started his rehab and all reports have been tremendously positive since his outpatient surgery. While we're likely to get daily Rose updates for however long he's sidelined, it's important to remember that the earliest he'll return is at the back end of March. That doesn't leave a lot of time for him to contribute to fantasy owners looking to win their postseason matchups. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: 76ers agree to waive JaVale McGee
The 76ers have agreed to waive JaVale McGee in time for him to sign with a playoff contender, according to USA Today's Sam Amick.

Advice: Philadelphia will reportedly pay McGee the full amount he's owed, including a $12 million payout next season, and he's likely to sign a minimum deal to give a playoff-bound team more frontcourt depth. He's not a fantasy asset no matter where he lands after clearing waivers. Yahoo! Sports reports there are 10 teams that have already expressed interest, but that would mean a third of the NBA, and we're not buying that. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Gordon scores 18 points in NOP victory
Eric Gordon scored 18 points vs. the Nuggets on Sunday, adding three 3-pointers, two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 32 minutes.

Advice: He's now made a 3-pointer in 25 consecutive games which is huge for a Pelicans team that ranks in the bottom-10 for 3-pointers made. With Ryan Anderson (knee) out of commission, it's safe to say Gordon will have a neon-green light to shoot from downtown in the coming weeks. Rotoworld.com

    • Danilo Gallinari leads Nuggets w/ 21 points
Danilo Gallinari led the Nuggets with 21 points on Sunday, making 7-of-18 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs with four rebounds and one block in 32 minutes.

Advice: Gallinari is one of the only positive stories in Denver this season, as he's rounding into form after an injury-plagued start to the season. He's scored double-digit points in six straight games and is averaging 2.8 triples during that span. Get him into your active lineups and hope that he can avoid the injury-bug in the coming weeks. • Jordan Clarkson scores 12 with four assists
Jordan Clarkson shook off a leg injury during Sunday's game vs. the Thunder, finishing with 12 points, four assists, two boards, one block and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: He was limping slightly at one point during the game, but it appears that the rookie is going to be fine and his owners shouldn't be concerned. He also doesn't have to worry about the recent emergence of Jeremy Lin because head coach Byron Scott has opted to put them on the court together, so it looks like Clarkson's role is safe moving forward. The rookie is still worth owning in all leagues and should continue to improve down the stretch. Rotoworld.com

    • D.J. Augustin gets 18 pts as fill-in starter
With Russell Westbrook (face) unavailable, D.J. Augustin started for the Thunder on Sunday and notched 18 points, four 3-pointers, nine rebounds, five assists and one steal.

Advice: Westbrook isn't expected to be out long and OKC doesn't play again until Wednesday, so this may be Augustin's only fill-in start. He shot 6-of-15 from the field in 41 minutes and would resume must-own fantasy status if Westbrook ever suffered a long-term injury, so don't lose sight of him in the coming weeks. Rotoworld.com

    • JaVale McGee buyout looking less likely
JaVale McGee, who has been mentioned in buyout rumors, finished Sunday's road loss with three points, one rebound and one block in eight minutes off the 76ers bench.

Advice: McGee said before the game that he wasn't aware of any talks with Sixers management, and a buyout is now reportedly "unlikely." He won't be eligible for the playoffs if he's waived after midnight on Sunday, so a buyout would be implausible if it doesn't happen very soon. Rotoworld.com

    • Arron Afflalo scores three points vs. Kings
Arron Afflalo scored just three points in 27 minutes vs. the Kings on Sunday, adding two boards, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He is averaging just 7.8 points, 1.8 boards, 1.0 assist and 1.2 3-pointers off the bench with his new team, and it's obvious that he vanished form the standard league radar as soon as he was traded from the Nuggets. Outside of deeper leagues, it's safe to cut Afflalo. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum struggles again on Sunday
Nicolas Batum shot just 1-of-6 from the field and 0-of-4 from deep on Sunday vs. the Kings, finishing with just two points, five assists, four boards and one steal in 31 minutes.

Advice: This was a pretty brutal game for Batum, but he has been much better since the All-Star break, averaging 10.2 points, 5.4 boards, 5.0 assists, 0.8 blocks, 1.4 steals and 1.6 3-pointers over his last five games. Batum's owners may never forgive him after his horrific start to the season, but at least he is starting to turn things around. Rotoworld.com

    • Damian Lillard drops 31 points in win on Sun.
Damian Lillard scored a game-high 31 points in a win over the Kings on Sunday, adding seven assists, four boards, one block and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: This was actually Lillard's highest scoring game since he dropped 34 points against the Lakers on Jan. 11, and he has now attempted 20 or more shots in each of his last two games. As one of the league's most durable and consistent guards, he should be a top-10 fantasy asset for the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com

    • Draymond Green posts 14 & 11 w/ extras Sunday
Draymond Green pitched in 14 points, two 3-pointers, 11 rebounds, four assists and three blocks with only one turnover during Sunday's thrilling road win in Boston.

Advice: Green made only 4-of-13 shots but he filled it up everywhere else and his versatility once again proved crucial for the Warriors, as he started at center for stretches to neutralize the Celtics' small lineups. He's a top-30 player over the past month and vaults into the top-20 with turnovers counted in 9-cat leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Aaron Brooks scores 14 inefficient points Sun
Aaron Brookes scored 14 points on 5-of-17 shooting during Sunday's loss to the Clippers, adding two 3-pointers, one rebound, three assists and two turnovers through 31 minutes of action.

Advice: Brooks hasn't done much since entering the starting lineup, averaging just 10.0 points, 3.7 assists and 1.7 three-pointers per game. The minutes are there, but the production hasn't come around yet. He's still worth holding onto in standard leagues given the Bulls' dire need for offense, especially with Jimmy Butler (elbow) going down on Sunday. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 3:01 pm
    • Chris Paul puts up huge double-double in win
Chris Paul was incredible during Sunday's win over the Bulls, scoring 28 points on 12-of-19 shooting, with 12 assists, five rebounds, one block and just one turnover through 38 minutes of action.

Advice: Efficiency is why Paul is such an elite option in fantasy leagues, and he was particularly amazing during the month of February with averages of 19.1 points, 11.5 assists, 1.6 steals, and just 2.6 turnovers per game on 47.1 percent shooting from the field. Over the past month Paul has emerged as the league leader in assists per game, but his value will take a minor hit when Blake Griffin (elbow) returns to action. Rotoworld.com

    • Coach Thibs confident about Rose returning
Head coach Tom Thiodeau said that he is confident Derrick Rose will return this season.

Advice: "He'll get past this hurdle," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "He has made it through two tough rehabs. This one will be much shorter, and he'll get back to being who he is." Rose is expected to be sidelined for anywhere from 4-6 weeks, and while it would be great to see him back in time for the NBA playoffs, he likely won't return quick enough to impact fantasy leagues. Aaron Brooks hasn't exactly been lighting it up, but he is still worth owing in most leagues as long as he continues to start in Rose's absence. Rotoworld.com

    • Rajon Rondo says thoughts over FA are same
Rajon Rondo said that his thoughts regarding his impending free agency haven't changed since his spat with head coach Rick Carlisle.

Advice: Rondo is going to hold his cards close to his chest, but he hasn't had the smoothest transition since leaving Boston. He is averaging just 7.6 points, 4.6 assists, 2.8 boards and 3.6 turnovers over his last five games, and he is also shooting just 43 percent from the field and 33 percent from the charity stripe over that span. He still has some value in points leagues, but he is a huge liability in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Brook Lopez scores seven in 15 minutes
Brook Lopez played just 15 minutes against the Mavs on Saturday with seven points, five rebounds and three fouls.

Advice: Perhaps he was just being rested because of the second night of a back-to-back set. Lopez didn't look like he hurt anything, so there's no need to be alarmed just yet. His fantasy owners can just keep their eyes peeled for an update. Rotoworld.com

    • Rajon Rondo scores eight in return
Rajon Rondo scored eight points in his return to the lineup on Saturday against the Nets, adding seven rebounds, six assists and four turnovers in 28 minutes.

Advice: The best part of all this for his fantasy owners is that he didn't go to the free throw line. Rondo looked awful on defense again tonight and ranked dead last on his team for plus-minus at minus-22. He's not a must-own player in standard leagues, but he should be viewed as a mid-to-late-round guy in points leagues. Rotoworld.com

Tyson Chandler (hip) will not play on Saturday night against the Nets.

    • Russell Westbrook could play in playoff game
Russell Westbrook (face) won't miss much time due to his facial surgery on Saturday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Advice: "If he had a playoff game [on Sunday], he could play," the report added. As mentioned 30 minutes ago, Westbrook is going to be re-evaluated later this week due to surgery on the zygomatic arch on his right cheek, so he sounds like he could actually play on Wednesday against the 76ers. Still, fantasy owners will want to grab D.J. Augustin in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook has facial surgery, out Sun
Russell Westbrook (face) underwent a successful procedure to address a fracture to the zygomatic arch and will be re-evaluated this week.

Advice: He is not going to play on Sunday, but he hasn't officially been ruled out for Wednesday against the 76ers. Westbrook is likely going to have to play with a mask upon his return and we still really have no idea how much time he's going to miss. In the meantime, it makes sense to grab D.J. Augustin in all standard leagues until Westy is back. Westbrook owners have to just sit tight and hope he can continue his triple-double streak right after being re-evaluated. To be clear, this doesn't sound like bad news. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young (knee) out again on Sunday
Nick Young (knee) will not play against the Thunder on Sunday.

Advice: He is still dealing with swelling in his knee and the fact that the Lakers ruled him out a day before the game suggests he could miss Tuesday against the Hornets. Wayne Ellngton had a great second half on Friday while Jeremy Lin is finally starting to put some good games together, averaging 16.3 points, 2.0 boards, 4.3 assists and 0.8 treys in his last four. Young can be left on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Rose (knee) starts rehab on Saturday
Derrick Rose (knee) started his rehab on Saturday.

Advice: His surgery wasn't nearly as severe as last time, so he's obviously not going to need five months like he did back in the 2013-14 season to allow his torn meniscus to heal. For what it's worth, Metta World Peace needed less than two weeks to return from a torn meniscus earlier in his career, so Rose's 4-6 week timetable is doable. Still, he's not worth owning because the Bulls will likely take it easy on him until the playoffs. Aaron Brooks has been a letdown, but he's still worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Tyson Chandler (hip) is a game-time decision
Tyson Chandler (hip) will be a game-time decision on Saturday against the Nets according to head coach Rick Carlisle.

Advice: Chandler wasn't able to play on Wednesday vs. the Hawks, but the good news was that he made it through a full practice on Friday. His owners will have to check back prior to tip-off before activating him in lineups, but he would still be a must-start option even if he is not 100 percent. Bernard James scored seven points with 11 rebounds and two blocks against the Hawks, and he would be the primary beneficiary if Chandler sits this one out. Rotoworld.com

    • Rajon Rondo says spat with Carlisle is over
Rajon Rondo made it clear that his spat with head coach Rick Carlisle is over and that he is ready to move on.

Advice: "Definitely, he had some frustrations with me and vice-versa," Rondo said. "So communication is definitely key in this situation. We’ve had a couple talks since then, and we’re going to move forward." Rondo was suspended for Wednesday's game vs. the Hawks, but he is expected to start against the Nets on Saturday, sending J.J. Barea back to the bench. However, Rondo is averaging just 7.5 points, 4.3 assists and 1.8 rebounds in his last four games, so his owners would be advised to leave him on the bench until he turns things around. Rotoworld.com

Danilo Gallinari scored 13 points on 5-of-15 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds, one assist and two steals in Friday's blowout loss to the Jazz.

Eric Gordon scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting (including four threes) with one rebound and eight assists in the Pelicans' 104-102 win over the Heat on Friday.

Advice: The Pelicans aren't falling out of contention in the playoff chase and Gordon is a big reason why. He's been a top 50-75 guy (8/9 cat) over the last month or so and that'll probably be the case until (if) Jrue Holiday returns. Tyreke Evans added 19 points, three boards, 11 assists, one trey and five turnovers in the win. Rotoworld.com

    • Ajinca goes for 24 and eight in win over Heat
Alexis Ajinca scored a career-high 24 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 9-of-10 shots with eight rebounds and three blocks in just 22 minutes.

Advice: Ajinca also hit the game's final, deciding shot and he's looking pretty automatic whenever 20-30 mpg clears up. Anthony Davis could be back in the next week or so and Ryan Anderson is about two weeks behind Davis on a timetable. In the meantime, Ajinca should be owned by somebody in your league. Rotoworld.com

    • Damian Lillard scores 29 in huge win vs. OKC
Damian Lillard scored 29 points during a 115-112 win over the Thunder on Friday with three rebounds, five assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: He put up a bit of an under-the-radar month. In his nine February games, Lillard averaged 20.7 points, 4.4 boards, 5.3 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.7 treys on 47.1 percent from the field and 83.7 percent from the line. He actually struggled with his jumper this month, but shooting a sterling 83.7 percent at the rim carried him. The All-Star still has room for improvement. Rotoworld.com

    • Arron Afflalo scores 18 points in 31 minutes
Arron Afflalo scored 18 points with two rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers against the Thunder on Friday.

Advice: The Blazers went small tonight, which explains the uptick in minutes. Afflalo is likely only going to get minutes in the mid-20s, so it's going to be tough for him to hold value in standard leagues coming off the bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Wes Matthews hurts hand, doesn't need X-ray
Wesley Matthews hurt his hand on Friday and said he doesn't need an X-ray.

Advice: The injury occurred late in the game, so he didn't have to play through it. Matthews didn't play well tonight, making 2-of-13 from the field for eight points with six rebounds, three assists, three steals, one block and two 3-pointers. He should be ready to roll for the Kings on Sunday. Rotoworld.com

    • D.J. Augustin to get more playing time?
D.J. Augustin played 20 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Blazers during a 115-112 loss with six points, one rebound, four assists and two steals.

Advice: There is nothing encouraging coming out regarding Russell Westbrook now and it sounds like he's going to need to miss time with his facial injury. As of Friday night, he is going to be evaluated, but the team might not provide an update until Saturday. If you need a point guard and are OK with cutting someone, it makes sense to add Augustin. • Brooks hits 2-of-15 shots on rough night
Aaron Brooks hit just 2-of-15 shots (2-of-8 from deep) for six points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 31 minutes on Friday against the Wolves.

Advice: If any impatient owner drops him after a less-than-spectacular start be ready to pick him up. Yes, the Bulls could bring in another point guard but it's doubtful they'll crack the rotation or impact Brooks' minutes. The diminutive guard has a late-round floor with some mid-round upside probably for the rest of the season. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Paul scores 19 with 13 dimes
Chris Paul scored 19 points against the Grizzlies on Friday with four rebounds, 13 assists, two steals, one turnover and one 3-pointer.

Advice: The Grizzlies gave out flip-flops tonight and it wasn't a coincidence because their team/fans haven't been bashful about saying the Clippers flop a lot. As for Paul, his numbers in his last nine are amazing, averaging 20.0 points, 4.8 boards, 12.1 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.2 treys on 49.3 percent from the field. The Clippers are playing very well without Blake Griffin (elbow). Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook (face) to be re-evaluated
Russell Westbrook suffered an injury to his face on Friday against the Blazers, posting a triple-double for the third consecutive game with 40 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and six turnovers on 14-of-32 from the field and 12-of-14 from the line.

Advice: Believe it or not, it looked like Westbrook had a penny-sized dent on the side of his face. He did not speak to the media and it's also possible he is dealing with concussion-like symptoms due to Andre Roberson kneeing him in the head. If Westy needs to miss time, it would be a massive loss for the NBA and especially the Thunder. D.J. Augustin would start and become a must-own player while Dion Waiters would also have to score more. Rotoworld.com

    • Draymond Green turns in monster stat line
Draymond Green was everywhere against the Raptors in 28 minutes during a 113-89 win on Friday with 17 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He made 6-of-9 from the field, hit both free throws and didn't turn the ball over for a nine-category line. Green is putting up elite value on the season, averaging 11.2 points, 8.1 boards 3.6 assists, 1.6 steals, 1.4 blocks and 1.3 treys. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Love makes just 6-of-19
Kevin Love made 6-of-19 from the field for 17 points with 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, two steals and one 3-pointer against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: While he does have a bigger chance to produce, Love actually hasn't really stepped up. He actually made just 3-of-15 from the field in the last game without LeBron James back on Jan. 28. Love hasn't been playing well right now, averaging 16.2 points, 9.8 boards and 2.8 treys in his last five. He's fine, though. Rotoworld.com

    • Russell Westbrook is good to go vs. Blazers
Russell Westbrook (ankle) is ready to go against the Blazers on Friday.

Advice: Even though the Thunder lost, Westbrook was ridiculous on Thursday. He actually put up a 63.4 usage rate in the fourth quarter. Amazingly, the Thunder are 8-0 on the second night of a back-to-back with a healthy Westy. Enjoy watching the game tonight, everyone. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young officially out for Friday
Nick Young (knee) will not play against the Bucks on Friday.

Advice: He was essentially ruled out on Thursday and he is likely going to miss games. Young is in the news most of the time for leading the league in shoekeepers and keeping his right arm tattoo-free strictly for buckets. He can be left on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Clarkson says playing w/ Boozer helps
Jordan Clarkson said that playing next to Carlos Boozer has helped his game.

Advice: "It makes it a lot easier having Boozer on the court, a veteran guy that can knock down shots," said Clarkson. "He's out there talking to me throughout the whole time." The Lakers have made it clear that developing Clarkson will be a priority in LA, so it's quite possible that Boozer sticks with the starting lineup as Clarkson's mentor. Clarkson is averaging a respectable 13.6 points, 3.7 assists, and 1.2 steals since entering the starting lineup, and he's well worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Scott still doesn't expect Nick Young to play
Coach Byron Scott said he does not expect Nick Young (knee) to play against the Bucks on Friday.

    • Rajon Rondo goes through full practice Friday
Rajon Rondo went through a full practice on Friday, and he will return to the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Nets.

Advice: Rondo has really struggled with the move to Dallas. He's averaging just 9.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.9 turnovers on 40.8 percent shooting since joining the Mavs. He's no longer putting up elite assist totals, which was really his only source of value, and with poor percentages and limited contributions in the major statistical categories, Rondo can be viewed as a drop-candidate in standard leagues. • Tyson Chandler (hip) practices in full Friday
Tyson Chandler (hip contusion) was a full participant during Friday's practice, Rick Carlisle said he'll be "a probable/questionable" for Saturday's game vs. the Nets.

Advice: Chandler said that he is hopeful to play on Saturday, and his return to practice is a step in the right direction. If Chandler is able to go, Bernard James will return to a bench role devoid of any fantasy value in standard leagues. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Rose's (knee) timetable set at 4-6 weeks
Derrick Rose underwent a meniscectomy on Friday morning, and he is expected to make a full recovery in 4-6 weeks.

Advice: Rose is full-weight bearing after undergoing the procedure, and he was able to walk out of the hospital. Rookie Doug McDermott had a similar procedure earlier in the year, and he was able to return to practice in four weeks, so things appear to be moving in a positive direction. If Rose is able to return at the four-week mark, he'll return for the final nine games of the season, however, he sits until the six-week mark he'll only be returning for the final three games of the season. Given Rose's tendency to be on the long-end of his recovery timetable, and the fact his minutes will likely be limited upon his return, owners in all re-draft leagues should probably just drop him at this point. Aaron Brooks will be the starting point guard and primary beneficiary with Rose sidelined. Rotoworld.com

D.J. Augustin scored 13 points in 27 minutes off the bench on Thursday vs. the Suns, adding five boards, three assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: In four games with the Thunder Augustin has averaged 9.0 points, 3.5 assists, 3.3 boards and 1.5 3-pointers in 26.3 minutes per game. While he is no longer worth owning in standard leagues since his move from Detroit, he is doing enough to remain viable in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Serge Ibaka scores 13 with nine boards Thurs.
Serge Ibaka blocked three shots in Thursday's overtime loss to the Suns, adding 13 points, nine boards, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 42 minutes.

Advice: He made a huge block at the end of the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime, but it wasn't enough to keep the Suns from rallying in the end. Ibaka has been on a torrid pace since returning from the All-Star break, averaging 18.6 points, 12.2 boards and 3.4 blocks over the last five games. Ibaka and Russell Westbrook have stepped up in a big way in the absence of Kevin Durant (foot), and they are going to continue putting up mind-blowing numbers until KD finally returns. Rotoworld.com

    • Draymond Green has five steals in loss Thurs.
Draymond Green recorded five steals in Thursday's loss to the Cavaliers, finishing with 16 points, eight boards and four assists in 38 minutes.

Advice: The five steals were one off his career-high of six which was set against the Wolves on Dec. 27, but this was actually just the fifth game this season in which he didn't record either a block or steal. Green has emerged as a fantasy stud for arguably the best team in the NBA, and he is going to be one of the most fun players to own for years to come. Rotoworld.com

Kevin Love scored 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting with eight boards in Thursday's win over the Warriors, adding one assist and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Advice: The low shot attempts probably had something to do with LeBron James going off for 42 points, but the good news is that he kept up his torrid pace from beyond the arc. Love has now averaged 4.3 3-pointers over his last three games which has opened up driving lanes for LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. Love may see an increased role on offense in Indiana Friday with Kyrie Irving nursing a shoulder injury, so owners in daily leagues should take that into consideration. Rotoworld.com

Bulls Vice President John Paxson said on Thursday that he is hopeful that Derrick Rose (knee) will be able to return this season.

Advice: Rose is set to undergo surgery on Friday morning at which point a firm timetable will be established, but the Bulls are hoping that this latest injury is just a minor setback. Derrick Rose is scheduled to undergo surgery on his right knee Friday morning, and a timeline for his return will be announced following his procedure.

Advice: Rose will undergo a meniscectomy, which is a procedure that will remove all or part of his torn meniscus, but it's worth noting that many within the Bulls' organization remain cautiously optimistic that Rose will be able to return at some point this season. We'll be following this story closely, but given the amount of time Rose has spent sidelined over the past three seasons, we're not as optimistic as the Bulls, and Rose can probably be dropped in standard leagues at this point. • Nicolas Batum says he feels refreshed
Nicolas Batum said he feels refreshed and ready for the second half of the season after spending six days in Mexico.

Advice: Batum has been mired in a season-long slump, but said six days of vacation on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico over the All-Star Break helped him hit the rest button. "I needed that," Batum said. "Just to refresh my mind. Just to go away from the stress. Just get away." Batum has has strong back-to-back performances and has averaged 16.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks, and 3.0 three-pointers in those two games. • Rajon Rondo unlikely to return to Dallas
Rajon Rondo is unlikely to return to the Mavericks after this season, according to Tim McMahon of ESPN Dallas.

Advice: While Tyson Chandler expects Rondo's recent run-in with head coach Rick Carlisle to bring the team closer, McMahon thinks the altercation and ensuing one-game suspension will lead the free-agent-to-be to bolt Dallas after the season. A winning season could cure everything here, but Rondo has spoken about his desire to be wooed during the free agency period so this latest incident likely won't help the Mavericks' chances to retain the mercurial point guard. • Rajon Rondo will start vs Nets on Saturday
Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said Rajon Rondo will start against the Nets on Saturday after serving a one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team.

Advice: An on-court verbal exchange and ensuing post-game shouting match in the locker room led to a one-game suspension for Rondo, but Carlisle is ready to move forward. "It’s one game, we’ll be off [Thursday]," Carlisle said. "He’ll practice Friday, and he’ll be back in the starting lineup on Saturday. The events of last night are in the past. And we’ve got to move forward." It sounds like it's safe for fantasy owners to plug Rondo back into their lineups for Saturday's game against the Nets, while J.J. Wesley Matthews, who missed all seven of his shots and scored four points on Sunday, got it back on Wednesday, hitting 11-of-18 shots and four 3-pointers for 31 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over the Spurs.

Advice: Yes! Arron Afflalo scored 10 points off the bench, and owners who were scared that Afflalo's presence would ruin Matthews should be feeling much better about things after this performance. And yes, he just went from a season low in scoring to a season high in back-to-back games, which is pretty hard for fantasy studs to do at this point in the season. Rotoworld.com

Nicolas Batum hit 6-of-8 shots for 15 points, four rebounds, nine assists, two steals, a block and three 3-pointers in Wednesday's win over the Spurs.

Advice: Yes, that's the guy you thought you were drafting early last October, and it's nice that he's finally starting to show up. He's averaging 16 points, 7.0 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 3.0 3-pointers over his last two games. Chris Paul handed out 14 assists against the Rockets during a 110-105 loss on Wednesday, adding 22 points, three rebounds and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He's up to 9.9 assists per game and is getting very close to catching John Wall's league-leading 10.1. Paul has put up some fantasy MVP-type numbers in his last eight, averaging 20.1 points, 4.9 boards, 12.0 boards, 1.5 assists and 1.3 treys on 49.2 percent from the field and 93.5 percent from the field. Jordan Clarkson hit 10-of-16 shots and a 3-pointer for a career-high 22 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in Wednesday's win over the Jazz.

Advice: Jeremy Lin hit just 3-of-12 shots for eight points and three assists tonight, after going off for 25 and 18 points in his previous two games. Clarkson had cooled off recently and appeared to be losing traction to Lin, but is still averaging 13.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 0.8 3-pointers on 49 percent shooting over his last five. As long as he's starting, he still looks like a much safer play than Lin at this point. Rotoworld.com

Danilo Gallinari played 34 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday during a 110-96 loss with 20 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and five 3-pointers.

Advice: The Nuggets are losing forwards all over the place and they're going to lose another one if they play Gallo this much. That said, this is his second consecutive 20-point game and he's taking a ton of shots with at least 11 in each of his last four. Gallinari is worth grabbing in standard leagues and his owners can just worry about an injury if/when it happens. Rotoworld.com

Alexis Ajinca came off the bench and played just 18 minutes on Wednesday, but still had 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks on 4-of-6 shooting.

    • Eric Gordon's slump continues Wednesday
Eric Gordon hit just 2-of-11 shots (both 3-pointers) for eight points, six rebounds, four assists and a steal on Wednesday.

Advice: He's really struggling with his shot right now, hitting just 19-of-61 shots over his last five games, good for just 31 percent. He's averaging 12.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.2 3-pointers over that stretch, so if his shot ever comes back, he could start putting up some really nice numbers. Brook Lopez came off the bench again and had 15 points, seven rebounds and four blocks in Wednesday's loss to the Pelicans.

Aaron Brooks played 28 minutes against the Hornets on Wednesday during a start, scoring 12 points with four rebounds, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He made 4-of-12 from the field, was 3-of-8 from the line, and didn't turn the ball over. If Brooks is indeed going to play 28 minutes per game, he should absolutely be worth owning in standard leagues based on his per-minute production, averaging 10.6 points, 2.7 dimes, 0.6 steals and 1.5 treys in just 19.9 minutes per game this season. If you need a point guard, he is a very attractive option. Rotoworld.com

Dirk Nowitzki hit just 2-of-7 shots for four points, five rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes of Wednesday's blowout loss to the Hawks.

Advice: The Mavs jumped out to a 34-22 lead in the first quarter, but the Hawks got it going in the second half and won by 17 points. Dirk had 18 points and nine boards on Tuesday, but just didn't have it going on the second night of a back-to-back. • Derrick Rose (knee) surgery may happen by Fri
Derrick Rose is expected to have surgery on his torn medial meniscus "sooner rather than later," and it could happen as soon as Friday.

Advice: Beat writer K.C. Johnson also confirmed that there's a growing belief the tear isn't as serious as the one Rose suffered in the same knee on Nov. 2013, which kept him out for nine months after surgery. This could be a small cartilage tear requiring a minimally-invasive procedure, but it's possible that Rose could have his meniscus removed to prevent future setbacks. We won't have a timetable until the surgery is performed, but owners in re-draft leagues can't afford to hold him with the fantasy playoffs looming a few weeks away. Kirk Hinrich has been banged up and ineffective for months, and Tom Thibodeau isn't shy about giving his starters heavy minutes. • Rondo, Carlisle had 2nd argument after game
Rajon Rondo and coach Rick Carlisle had another "emotionally charged dispute in the locker room after the game," according to ESPN.com's Tim MacMahon.

Advice: Rondo is not going to play tonight because of it and these arguments may hurt his playing time going forward, though Carlisle said Rondo will start Saturday's game as usual. The Mavericks are not much better with Rondo on the floor and they probably won't miss him tonight. In fact, his Mavs teammates made only 47.9 percent from the field off passes from Rondo. Before Rondo arrived, the Mavs were making 49.1 percent from the field off Monta Ellis passes. Rondo is not a must-own player in standard leagues. Meanwhile, J.J. Barea and Devin Harris will step up. • Mavs suspend Rajon Rondo for one game
Rajon Rondo has been suspended for Wednesday's game against the Hawks due to conduct detrimental to the team.

Advice: He got into an argument with Rick Carlisle on Tuesday and his coach benched him after that. Rondo has been awful this season and it'll be interesting to see how the Mavericks put their lineups together. The former Celtic has actually been below average as defender and the Mavericks have also fallen as an offense since he's joined them, so this suspension might help them tonight. With Rondo out, it'll be J.J. Barea likely to start with Devin Harris also getting more run. Expect to see Monta Ellis have a bigger responsibility as well. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young (knee) will not play vs. the Jazz
Nick Young (knee) will not play vs. the Jazz on Wednesday.

Advice: He is coming off a 19-point performance vs. the Celtics on Sunday, so it's a shame that he is going to have to sit this one out. The good news is that an MRI taken on his knee came back negative, but head coach Byron Scott said that Young was still dealing with some swelling. Consider Young day-to-day for now, and expect Wayne Ellington, Wes Johnson and Jeremy Lin to all see increased opportunities with Young on the shelf. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Rose to have surgery sooner, not later
Derrick Rose's medial meniscus tear is not as severe as it was in 2013 and he is expected to have surgery sooner rather than later.

Advice: Additionally, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson added some notes this morning: Rose was told after first surgery last season of possibility another tear could happen and that "snip" procedure likely then. He also opted for meniscus to be reattached rather than removed in 2013, but the snipping procedure tends to have a shorter rehab. There's no timetable for his return, but sadly his fantasy owners can cut him in all redraft leagues. Aaron Brook is likely to score more from the point guard spot and is worth a look in standard leagues. Meanwhile, expect Jimmy Butler to really step up. Butler saw a massive increase in production the last time Rose went down, but he's grown immensely since and could have another boost. Tony Snell has also been on a tear and is worth watching. • Weather could postpone Mavericks vs. Hawks
There is a small chance that inclement weather in Atlanta could postpone Wednesday's game between the Hawks and Mavericks.

Advice: A strong winter storm is reportedly closing in on Atlanta, and an announcement regarding the game will be made around 2 p.m. ET. Owners with daily lineups would be wise check back for all the latest updates before making any roster decisions tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Devin Harris thrives in expanded role Tuesday
Devin Harris took advantage of Rajon Rondo's second-half benching on Tuesday, scoring 14 points with three rebounds, five assists and a season-high four steals in 28 minutes.

Advice: The steals tied the season-high Harris set on Sunday but his playing time was inflated by Rondo's temporary absence, and he remains a borderline option in 12-team leagues. Give him a look if your waiver wire is thread-bare and you're in need of typical PG production -- 3-pointers, assists, steals and FT percentages. Rotoworld.com

    • Serge Ibaka posts 23 & 10 on 9-of-11 shooting
Serge Ibaka made 9-of-11 field goals and 4-of-4 free throws vs. Indiana, finishing Tuesday's victory with 23 points, one 3-pointer, 10 rebounds and three blocks in 29 minutes.

Advice: Ibaka ranks eighth in the league as a roll-man off screens, though his 168 points pale in comparison to category-leader Anthony Davis' 329 points. The Thunder have encouraged Ibaka to bomb away from downtown, resulting in a career-high 1.3 triples per game, but his ability to attack the rim has helped him maintain solid 46.8 percent shooting. That number will only go up after tonight's ultra-efficient display. Rotoworld.com

    • D.J. Augustin struggles in 25 minutes Tuesday
D.J. Augustin struggled in 25 minutes on Tuesday, as he came off the bench to score three points on 1-of-6 shooting with two rebounds, seven assists and one steal.

Advice: Anyone holding onto Augustin should scour the waiver wire for a better option. His value tanked overnight with the trade to OKC and he's only worth keeping if you're targeting 3-pointers and assists in a deep league. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: Derrick Rose has torn right meniscus
Derrick Rose will have surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, the Bulls announced on Tuesday.

Advice: This is heartbreaking news for the former MVP, who was just regaining his rhythm after recovering from a torn medial meniscus in his right knee last season. The Bulls will announce an official timetable after he has surgery but it's probable that he's done for the season, including the playoffs. He originally tore his meniscus last November and didn't play in a game until suiting up for FIBA in late August, a nine-month timetable which may be even longer this time considering his lengthy injury history. The only good news is that according to beat writer K.C. Johnson, "[The] initial belief is that this tear is not as extensive as tear in November 2013." Aaron Brooks, Kirk Hinrich and E'Twaun Moore will do their best to fill the void at PG in his absence, with Brooks and Hinrich standing out as the best speculative fantasy pickups. Get well, D-Rose. • Kevin Love ties career-high w/ eight triples
Kevin Love tied his career-high with eight 3-pointers on Tuesday, finishing a road win in Detroit with 24 points, nine rebounds, three assists, one steal and zero turnovers.

Advice: Kyrie Irving has been cold from the perimeter lately, which makes Love's bombardment even better news for a Cavs team which already dominates the mid-range thanks to LeBron -- they're shooting 46.5 percent when 15-19 feet from the hoop, while the second-ranked Hawks are at 44.8 percent. Love is coming off a solid 16 & 16 performance from Sunday and it appears he's figured out how to "fit in" with his new star-studded team. Rotoworld.com

    • Nick Young (knee) doesn't practice Tuesday
Nick Young (knee) did not participate during Tuesday's practice.

Advice: An MRI taken on Young's knee came back negative, but with him sitting out of Tuesday's practice, he looks to be on the doubtful side of questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Utah. If he's unable to go, there will be more minutes for guys like Jeremy Lin, Wes Johnson, and Wayne Ellington. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • CP3 goes for 30 & 10; key TO late seals loss
Chris Paul was spectacular pretty much all night on Monday, scoring 30 points, four rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, two blocks and two threes, but a late turnover sealed the Clippers' 90-87 loss to the Grizzlies.

Advice: Paul is gaining a reputation for mistakes in big moments and that's a bit unfair, but he's still in his prime and he can totally redeem himself by going huge in the playoffs. He has dropped off a bit in the overall rankings with just top 5-7 value on a per-game basis in 9- and 8-cat leagues, respectively, but counting games played he's a top 3-4 asset. Rotoworld.com

    • Ajinca scores 16 points with nine rebounds
Alexis Ajinca scored 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting with nine rebounds, two assists and one block in 27 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Raptors.

Advice: Ajinca has done surprisingly well when pressed into action for Anthony Davis or Ryan Anderson this season. And with the way those two guys are holding up these days, it's possible this current window of productivity gets extended throughout the year -- particularly if and when the Pelicans fall out of the playoff chase. • Danilo Gallinari plays 30 minutes on Monday
Danilo Gallinari played 30 minutes against the Nets during a 110-82 loss on Monday, scoring a game-high 22 points with two rebounds, one assist, two steals and three 3-pointers.

Advice: It was his third start in a row and his numbers look pretty good in that span, averaging 16.0 points, 3.0 boards, 1.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.7 treys on 42.9 percent from the field. He is one of the most injury-prone players in the NBA, but at least the production is starting to show up. He is worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
