  • Elton Brand will wait to decide on NBA future
Elton Brand said during his exit interview that he will take several weeks before making a decision on whether or not he will return for a 17th season.

Advice: "I’ll see if I have another year of trying to get prepared and what it takes to be on an NBA roster," Brand said. "There is a lot of work you have to put in… After two or three weeks, I’ll know. See if I have that itch." Brand will offer veteran leadership to any team's roster, but his days of fantasy relevancy are long behind him. Rotoworld.com

  • Julius Randle (leg) cleared for full contact
Julius Randle (leg) has been cleared for full contact half court 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 sessions.

Advice: Randle's next step will be going through 4-on-4 drills, but he continues to move in a positive direction, and at this rate he should be good to go for Las Vegas Summer League. The Lakers have a lot of decisions to make this offseason with regards to the roster, but depending on how things shake out, Randle may have the opportunity to step into a starting role next season. As always, will continue to track his progress closely this offseason. Rotoworld.com

  • Dudley says guys don't want to play w/ Kobe
Jared Dudley proclaimed during an appearance on an ESPN radio show on Tuesday that "most guys don't want to play with Kobe [Bryant]."

Advice: "He wants to show everyone so much," Dudley said. "We love you Kobe. But come on, it’s like, it’s now time to start giving up. Most guys don’t want to play with Kobe. Kobe gets in this thing where he doesn’t pass and then he over-passes and he’s trying to get triple-doubles every night. You have [the ability to pass]. It’s just not something he wants to do. And that’s why I think it’ll be a while before the Lakers can get good." Rotoworld.com

  • Jared Dudley apologizes for Anthony comments
Jared Dudley apologized for saying Carmelo Anthony is the most overrated player in the NBA.

Advice: After saying Anthony has failed to take his team past the second round in the playoffs, Dudley quickly backtracked from his comments. "I shouldn’t have said that that was my fault for saying that because it’s not the truth," Dudley said on Wednesday. "I apologize for saying that about Carmelo." While Dudley has apologized, the first Knicks-Bucks matchup of the 2015-16 season will be an interesting one. Rotoworld.com

Jared Dudley said Carmelo Anthony is the most overrated player in the NBA.

Advice: "He’s gotta get out of the first, second rounds," Dudley said. "He’s gotta get his teams to the playoffs. LeBron with that roster, LeBron would’ve gotten them to the playoffs." This one will be going on the bulletin board when Melo takes on Dudley next season. Rotoworld.com

  • Jae Crowder is making 'great strides' in recovery
Celtics general manager Danny Ainge said that Jae Crowder is making "great strides" in his recovery from a left knee sprain.

Advice: Ainge also said that Crowder has been able to do some light workouts, but he didn't specify exactly what he was doing. The Celtics would like to sign Crowder to a multi-year deal this summer, and both parties appear anxious to get a deal done. "I just think what I bring to the game and what they need … it’s a good fit," Crowder said. "Hopefully we can get something done that’ll keep me here for a long time." We will continue to track his progress closely this summer, but he should be ready in time for training camp. Rotoworld.com

  • Kosta Koufos drawing interest around league
Kosta Koufos will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and teams such as the Magic, Celtics and Kings are interested in signing him.

Advice: Koufos was stuck behind Marc Gasol in Memphis, and he has made it known that he would like to have a starting role. If the Grizzlies are able to retain Gasol, it sounds like Koufos will likely be wearing a different uniform next season. Koufos averaged just 5.2 points, 5.3 boards and 0.8 blocks in just 16.6 minutes per game this season, but he could pop up on the radar in fantasy leagues if he lands in an ideal situation. • Paul Pierce to Clippers isn't a sure thing
Despite persisting rumors, it is not a sure thing that Paul Pierce will opt out of his contract and sign with the Clippers.

Advice: While a reunion with Clippers head coach Doc Rivers makes a lot of sense, the Clippers have a bigger offseason priority in re-signing DeAndre Jordan and may not have enough money to pay Pierce if he opts out of his contract with the Wizards. Pierce has also talked about potentially retiring, so there are likely to be more twists in this road before we learn of Pierce's final decision. Rotoworld.com

  • Pierce may opt out to sign with Clippers?
Paul Pierce may opt out with the Wizards and sign with the Clippers.

Advice: It could be for less money in order to join coach Doc Rivers and assistant coach Sam Cassell. Pierce was distraught after his loss to the Hawks and still hasn't made it clear if he'll be back next season. To be clear, this is just a rumor and Pierce has not said anything about joining up with the Clippers. Rotoworld.com

Marreese Speights (right calf) advanced to running the stairs on Monday.

Advice: He's still out for Game 4, but could get back to court work in the next day or two. Speights could be ready for the NBA Finals, but obviously the Warriors may not need him. Festus Ezeli has really stepped up for the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. Rotoworld.com

The Pacers and Luis Scola are mutually interested in working out a new contract.

Advice: "We'll see how it goes," Larry Bird said. Scola would be a solid bench presence for the Pacers, but it's not clear how close the two sides may be in seeing eye-to-eye on the value of a new deal for the 35-year-old big man. Rotoworld.com

  • Bojan Bogdanovic now likes playing in the NBA
Bojan Bogdanovic said that he enjoys playing in the NBA now that he's experienced it.

Advice: Imagine that? "Honestly, before arriving I was not a big fan of the NBA, that's why I had decided to stay in Europe, in Fenerbahce," he said. "But when I arrived, I saw that it was really another world, a world unto itself, everything is arranged differently. I can say that I have now become a fan of the NBA." Bogdanovic will be looking to take another step forward in his sophomore NBA season, and he could be looking at a much larger role if Joe Johnson and his expiring contract are traded. Rotoworld.com

  • Kent Bazemore plays well as starter in Game 3
Kent Bazemore contributed 14 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block while filling in at SG for Kyle Korver (ankle) on Sunday, but the Hawks still lost 111-114 in overtime.

Advice: Bazemore is known for his speed and athleticism, but he also played solid defense and mimicked Korver's 3-point shooting with a 2-of-3 mark behind the arc tonight. Bazemore was 3-of-9 from the field and 6-of-8 from the FT line in 43 minutes in Game 3 and he'll need to play a major role for the Hawks to climb out of their 0-3 series deficit while Korver is out of commission. • DeMarre Carroll solid Sunday w/ Korver out
DeMarre Carroll logged 41 minutes on Sunday to finish the Hawks' road loss with 10 points on 4-of-12 shooting, two 3-pointers, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.

Advice: His lone block came on a LeBron James post-up, which is impressive enough, and he didn't commit any turnovers -- the Hawks as a team only had seven. Carroll's knee is "nowhere near" 100 percent but he's giving Atlanta everything he has in a tough matchup vs. LeBron, and his free agent value has steadily risen throughout the postseason. There's no reason to think he's at risk of missing Tuesday's must-win Game 4. Rotoworld.com

  • Mike Miller could get some run during Game 3
Mike Miller had an extended workout after shootaround, which would suggest that he may be able to get into the rotation for Sunday's Game 3 in Cleveland.

Advice: Of the Cavs 12 playoff games thus far, Miller has only left the bench for three of them. He may step into a minimal role for Game 3, but he's extremely unlikely to show up in any meaningful way on the stat sheet. He's not a fantasy option. Rotoworld.com

  • Marreese Speights (calf) ruled out for Game 4
Marreese Speights (calf) is making progress, but he will not play in Game 4 against the Rockets on Monday.

Advice: David Lee was initially the one getting the minutes with Speights sidelined, but he's nearly fallen out of the rotation entirely during the Houston series. Festus Ezeli has earned himself a nice role off the bench in the Conference Finals, but with averages of just 6.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.0 block over 13.6 minutes of action, he's not much of an asset in fantasy basketball. Speights is unlikely to be a factor the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com

Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said that it looks like Julius Randle (leg) "has recovered completely".

Advice: This is definitely exciting news for Randle, and it appears that his recovery is going very smoothly. All signs point to him playing during the Las Vegas Summer League, and it will be interesting to see how he does after such a long time on the shelf. • Kent Bazemore will start in Game 3 Sunday
Kent Bazemore will draw the start in place of Kyle Korver (ankle) for Game 3 vs. the Cavaliers on Sunday.

Advice: Korver is out for the remainder of the postseason, so Bazemore should be locked in as the starter moving forward. In 10 starts during the regular season, Bazemore averaged 10.2 points, 4.8 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 3-pointers, so he could be a solid option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Jared Sullinger says everyone doubts him
Jared Sullinger, who has been working out at Ohio State with Evan Turner and Greg Oden, believes that everyone is doubting him.

Advice: "Right now, everyone is doubting me," Sullinger said. "I get everything, 'He’s not this, he’s not that. He’s not the guy that we thought he was going to be, potentially.' I’ve heard it all. I use it as motivation. Nothing is going to change, I’m going to keep working, working as hard as possible." Sullinger has been heavily criticized for his weight and conditioning, but it sounds like he is motivated to improve this summer. The Celtics won't approach him about a contract extension until next summer when he can become a restricted free agent, so next season will be crucial for him. Rotoworld.com

Paul George said his leg is not yet 100 percent healthy.

Advice: He said he is doing "good" and is not 100 percent recovered from the calf strain he suffered in their regular season finale in Memphis. • Terrence Ross had left ankle surgery Friday
Terrence Ross had surgery to remove bone spurs and loose bodies from his left ankle on Friday and he currently has no timetable for a return to basketball activities.

Advice: Even though there is no timetable for his return, this was likely a minor procedure and he should hopefully be back on the court soon. Ross had a very disappointing 2014-15 campaign in which he averaged just 9.8 points, 2.8 boards, 1.0 assist and 1.8 3-pointers while shooting just 37.2 percent from the field, so he clearly has a lot to work on this summer. • John Wall hopeful that Paul Pierce returns
John Wall is hopeful that Paul Pierce will be back with the Wizards next season.

Advice: "Who wouldn’t want to have a Hall of Fame guy back on this team? He meant so much to us," Wall said. "Just his leadership, his work ethic, being a mentor, talking to us, and giving us those words of encouragement and that extra grit and fight. He has to do what’s best for him and his family, and that’s taking time off and deciding whether he wants to come back and play." Pierce has a $6 million player option for next season, but he will likely take his time before making a decision. He averaged 14.6 points, 4.2 boards and 3.3 3-pointers in the playoffs and hit several big shots in clutch situations, so he obviously still has a lot to offer. Rotoworld.com

  • Marreese Speights will not play on Saturday
Marreese Speights (calf) will not play against the Rockets in Game 3 on Saturday.

Advice: He is expected to be held out for the first five game of the series against Houston, so this isn't a surprise. • Otto Porter learned a lot from Paul Pierce
Otto Porter credited Paul Pierce for his rapid improvement over the course of the season.

Advice: "He means a lot," Porter said in regards to Pierce. "I learned a lot from him this year whether he told me something or I just picked it up. And it’s going to stick with me throughout my NBA career, what to expect in the NBA and how to be a professional." Porter broke out in the playoffs, averaging 10.0 points, 8.0 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 3-pointers in 33.1 minutes per game. He averaged just 19.4 minutes in the regular season, so it's clear that he finally earned the trust of head coach Randy Wittman. If Porter continues to improve over the summer, he could be an interesting late-round flier in fantasy drafts. Rotoworld.com

  • Jared Sullinger is on same page with Celtics
Jared Sullinger and the Celtics are on the same page in regards to his conditioning.

Advice: Sullinger is viewing the foot injury that he had this season as a wake-up call, and he is eager to improve his conditioning this summer. Celtics president Danny Ainge recently criticized Sullinger for not taking care of his body, so it's good to see that he is taking steps to improve. He will be playing for a new contract next season, so he will have plenty of motivation to have a big year. On a side note, Sullinger is hoping to be more of a post player next season, but he said that the coaching staff urges him to shoot more 3-pointers. We will keep an eye on his progress this summer, but as of right now he will still be a risky selection in fantasy drafts. Rotoworld.com

  • DeMarre Carroll (knee) to start in Game 2
DeMarre Carroll (knee) will start in Friday's Game 2 against the Cavs.

Advice: Carroll was wincing throughout warmups and owners have to plan for some sort of limitation. Kent Bazemore and Paul Millsap may end up picking up the slack on LeBron James. If Carroll falters then Bazemore stands to gain the most here in terms of playing time, but his numbers could suffer if he has to cover LeBron a lot. Kyle Korver could also get some time on the King. Rotoworld.com

  • Kent Bazemore ready to step up if Carroll out
Kent Bazemore is ready to step into the starting lineup as LeBron James' primary defender if DeMarre Carroll (knee) can't give it a go for Friday's Game 2.

Advice: "It’s great," Bazemore said regarding the opportunity to enter the starting lineup and guard James. "It’s a great platform to show what you can do. They brought me here as a defender and that’s my job. What a great measuring stick to go up against one of the best." The energy exerted while guarding one of the best players in the league will likely lead to a limited offensive output from Bazemore, so even if he slides into a starting role, he's not going to be a great daily league play. • BOS again makes it clear Crowder a priority
Celtics' president Rich Gotham stated on Thursday that signing Jae Crowder as a restricted free agent this offseason will be a "priority" for the Celtics.

Advice: "[Crowder] added toughness, energy and confidence," said Gotham. "I think he gave our guys a swagger." Multiple executives from Boston's front offices have openly stated their desire to retain Crowder as a restricted free agent this offseason, and it'll be interesting to see just how high they go in order to keep him in a Celtics' jersey. Crowder had a nice run down the stretch, posting averages of 11.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 0.9 three-pointers per game during the month of April, so he'll be a nice low-end option in deep leagues if he does indeed remain in Boston. Kosta Koufos, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, wants to be a starter in the NBA.

Advice: Koufos was a very solid backup in Memphis behind Marc Gasol, and he will be sure to command plenty of interest on the open market. "It's great to have him in this league as far as the competition and what he's done not only for the three teams that he's played for, but for himself," said James. "He's probably going to be a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer. His numbers speak for itself. He's a big-time player." • Luis Scola working out in Indianapolis
Luis Scola has stayed in Indianapolis to continue his postseason workouts.

Advice: While Scola will be a free agent this summer, the 35-year old stayed in Indianapolis to work out so he could be a step closer to fulfilling Pacers' team president Larry Bird's wishes by re-signing with the Pacers. Scola reportedly has no intentions of retiring and would again serve as a solid bench player for the Pacers after averaging 9.4 points and 6.5 rebounds during the 2014-15 season.
