    • Shows improvement in Game 2
Russell logged 23 points (8-16 FG, 7-11 3Pt), three rebounds and six assists across 39 minutes during Monday's 101-99 loss to the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: Russell delivered a much-improved effort compared to Game 1 when he notched 13 points while shooting poorly from the field (6-20 FG, 1-9 3Pt). However, his strong contributions were not enough Monday, as the Lakers wasted a 20-point lead and lost the game on a buzzer-beater from Jamal Murray. Nonetheless, the uptick in efficiency is nice to see from Russell, who should have a pivotal role on offense in Thursday's decisive Game 3. Rotowire.com 42 minutes ago
    • Does little in loss
Oubre logged four points (2-7 FG), two rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 26 minutes during Monday's 104-101 loss to the Knicks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: Oubre's unproductive evening marked his second consecutive subpar performance in the quarterfinals. He joined a mediocre group of starters who scored only 22 points compared to the 69 points accrued by Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Improved stat lines from Oubre will be necessary for the Sixers to even the series at home. Rotowire.com Today, 4:37 am
    • Records double-double in 39 minutes
Embiid totaled 34 points (12-29 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 8-12 FT), 10 rebounds, six assists and one block over 39 minutes during Monday's 104-101 loss to the Knicks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: Despite laboring up and down the court at times, Embiid showed no ill effects of his lingering knee injury and logged a full workload in the loss, but his prolific line wasn't enough to turn the tide. Embiid and Tyrese Maxey got no help from their teammates as the rest of the roster ended with fewer points than Embiid alone. Rotowire.com Today, 4:31 am
    • D’Angelo Russell starts hot, finishes with 23 PTS
D’Angelo Russell played 39 minutes in Monday’s 101-99 loss to the Nuggets, accounting for 23 points (8-of-16 FGs), three rebounds, six assists, and seven 3-pointers.

Advice: Much was made about Russell’s poor Game 1, especially considering how poorly he played in last season’s Western Conference Finals. He appeared to have a point to prove to begin Game 2, as D’Lo hit all three of his 3-point attempts and scored nine points in the first quarter. He finished with an efficient 23, shooting 7-of-11 from beyond the arc. However, he was 2-of-6 from the field in the second half, which was a decrease in production the Lakers can’t afford, given the caliber of the opponent they’re up against. Russell and the Lakers head home for Game 3 on Thursday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:13 pm
    • Joel Embiid (knee) posts 34/10/6/0/1 stat line
Joel Embiid (left knee soreness) played 39 minutes in Monday’s 104-101 loss to the Knicks, tallying 34 points (12-of-29 FGs, 8-of-12 FTs), 10 rebounds, six assists, one block, and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes.

Advice: Embiid recorded a gaudy stat line in Game 2, but the reigning MVP is limited in his movements. While he did score 18 of his 34 points in the second half, he did not grab a single rebound. The two days off before Game 3 in Philadelphia are much-needed for Embiid, who deserves high praise for gutting through a knee that is nowhere near full strength. He should appear on the injury report ahead of Game 3, even though Embiid will be expected to play. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:58 pm
    • Owns boards in 20-rebound game
Allen finished with 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-8 FT), 20 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals over 39 minutes in Cleveland's 96-86 win over Orlando in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series.

Advice: Allen did it all to help Cleveland take a commanding 2-0 series lead, leading all players in Monday's contest in rebounds while pacing the Cavaliers in blocks to go along with a pair of steals in a double-double performance. Allen has owned the glass over the first two games of the opening-round series, recording at least 18 rebounds and a double-double in both contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:59 pm
    • Jarrett Allen grabs 20 rebounds in Game 2 victory
Jarrett Allen accumulated 16 points (6-of-10 FGs, 4-of-8 FTs), 20 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocked shots in 39 minutes in Monday’s Game 2 win over Orlando.

Advice: While the Magic like having Jonathan Isaac in the starting lineup to match up with Evan Mobley, the tradeoff in the series’ first two games was Allen looking like a Hall-of-Fame-caliber center. After grabbing 18 rebounds in Game 1, he corralled 20 more in Game 2 to help lead Cleveland to a 2-0 series lead. Orlando isn’t going to bench Paolo Banchero or Franz Wagner to account for Allen, which may put Isaac under the microscope ahead of Thursday’s Game 3. Mobley added 17 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:52 pm
    • Kawhi Leonard (knee) questionable for Game 2 Tues.
Kawhi Leonard (right knee soreness) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Mavericks.

Advice: Leonard has not appeared in a game since March 31 and was limited to individual work as recently as Saturday. The questionable tag is encouraging, but this may be a game-time decision for the Clippers (and Leonard) to make. Amir Coffey would remain in the starting lineup if Kawhi cannot play, but he doesn’t offer a high offensive upside. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:22 pm
    • Game-time call for Game 2
Leonard (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's Game 2 against the Mavericks, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Leonard took part in Monday's practice, and while it was reported to be a non-contact session, it appears all went well. The team will likely re-assess the star forward in the morning and see how he fares in shootaround and pregame warmups before making a decision on his availability for Game 2.
