    • Decent in Game 3 blowout loss
Allen ended with 15 points (5-6 FG, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds and one block over 24 minutes during Thursday's 121-83 loss to the Magic in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: Allen was one of two Cavaliers who reached the 15-point plateau in this blowout loss, and although this ended up being one of Cleveland's worst performances of the campaign, Allen found a way to deliver a decent stat line. The big man will aim to continue making a two-way impact in Game 4 of the series Saturday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:58 am
    • Reveals medical condition after big game
Embiid revealed after Thursday's 125-114 win over the Knicks in Game 3 of the first-round playoff series that he's being treated for a mild case of Bell's palsy, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. He finished the Game 3 win with 50 points (13-19 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 19-21 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one block across 41 minutes.

Advice: Since making his return to action April 2 following his recovery from left knee surgery, Embiid has routinely been posting big scoring numbers, but he wasn't as efficient as usual, as he converted 44.8 percent of his field-goal attempts in his first games back from the injury. However, Embiid looked as dominant as ever Thursday as the 76ers staved off a 3-0 series deficit, becoming the first player in NBA playoff history to score 50 points on fewer than 20 field-goal attempts. Embiid's postgame revelation of his Bell's palsy diagnosis may be the bigger headline, with the center noting that he first noticed symptoms of the condition following the 76ers' Play-In Tournament victory over the Heat last week. Bell's palsy is a condition in which a person experiences facial weakness or paralysis due to injury to the seventh facial nerve. Based on Embiid's performance Thursday, his play nor his availability are expected to be affected by the issue. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:23 pm
    • Joel Embiid scores playoff career-high 50 points
Joel Embiid shot 13-of-19 from the field and 19-of-21 from the foul line in Thursday’s 125-114 win over the Knicks, scoring 50 points with eight rebounds, four assists, one block, and five 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

Advice: Embiid still doesn’t appear to be 100 percent, but the Knicks still did not have an answer for him in Game 3. The reigning MVP scored 19 of his playoff career-high 50 points from the foul line and shot well above 50% from the field. The excellent news for Embiid and the 76ers is that they’ll have another two days “off,” as Game 4 is not until Sunday afternoon. Philadelphia still trails the series by a 2-1 margin. Following the game, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Embiid has been receiving treatment for a mild case of Bell’s palsy, which first became an issue during the 76ers’ Play-In tournament win over Miami. While the left knee is why the reigning MVP continues to show up on the injury report, that isn’t the only problem he’s navigating. Rotoworld Thursday, 7:30 pm
    • Jarrett Allen finishes with 15 PTS, eight boards
Jarrett Allen shot 5-of-6 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line in Thursday’s 121-83 loss to Orlando, accounting for 15 points, eight rebounds, and one blocked shot in 24 minutes.

Advice: Allen was dominant in the series’ first two games, grabbing 38 rebounds in two Cavaliers victories. In response, Orlando changed its starting lineup, replacing Jonathan Isaac with Wendell Carter Jr., and that appeared to help keep Allen off the boards. Of course, the nature of Game 3 limited the minutes of all ten starters, so DFS players should not read too much into Allen’s stat line. Evan Mobley was also held in check, as he finished with 10 points, two rebounds, one assist, and three blocks in 22 minutes. Cleveland will take a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 on Saturday. • Joel Embiid (knee) available for Game 3 Thursday
Joel Embiid (left knee injury recovery) is available and will start Thursday’s game against the Knicks.

Advice: To no one’s surprise, Embiid will play as the 76ers look to defend home court in Game 3 of a series they trail 2-0. Philadelphia will stick with the same starting lineup, as Embiid is joined by Tyrese Maxey, Kyle Lowry, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Tobias Harris. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:09 pm
    • Good to go Thursday
Embiid (knee) will start Thursday's Game 3 against the Knicks, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports.

Advice: Embiid carried a questionable tag prior to this update, but he seemed more than fine in the opening pair of games in this series. He made it through his usual warmup, and there's no word of any restrictions ahead of tipoff, so he seems like a safe bet to handle his regular workload after logging 35-plus minutes in the first two contests of the series. • Leads offensively in double-double
Herro posted 24 points (7-13 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 14 assists, five rebounds and one steal over 38 minutes in Wednesday's 111-101 win over Boston in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference first round.

Advice: Herro stepped up big for Miami in a bounce-back win in Game 2, leading all players in the contest in threes made and assists while leading all Heat players in scoring in an impressive outing. Herro set a season high in assists for any Miami player this year, and he tied the second-most dimes by a Heat player in a playoff game in team history. Miami will need Herro to continue to step up offensively, especially with Jimmy Butler (knee) inactive. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:45 pm
    • Tyler Herro secures double-double to top Celtics
Tyler Herro scored 24 points (7-of-13 FGs) and made both of his attempts from the foul line in the Heat’s 111-101 win against the Celtics on Wednesday. He also totaled five rebounds, 14 assists, a steal, and six made 3-pointers.

Advice: Herro recovered quickly from his poor 11-point outing in Game 1. He paced his team in points and assists en route to the victory and has momentum on his side ahead of Game 3 in Miami. Rotoworld Wednesday, 6:38 pm
    • Joel Embiid (knee) deemed questionable Thursday
Joel Embiid (left knee injury recovery) is questionable to play against New York in Game 3 on Thursday.

Advice: Though Embiid will continue to manage this knee injury, he isn’t going to sit out during the playoffs because of it. They’re down 0-2, and they’ll need a big performance out of him with the series shifting to Philadelphia. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:38 pm
