    • Paolo Banchero pours in 39 points in Game 5 loss
      Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 39 points (14-of-24 FGs), eight rebounds, four assists, four triples and five turnovers in a 104-103 loss to Cleveland in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: It may not have resulted in a win, but Banchero was fantastic in this game. He became the third-youngest player to score at least 39 points in a playoff game, with only LeBron James and Magic Johnson in front of him. That isn’t a bad list to be on, and they’ll need him to continue to play at this level if they want to win their next two games. They’ll head back to Orlando for Game 6 on Friday, where Banchero only scored nine points in the blowout win in Game 4. He’ll look to bring some of this scoring down to Florida.     • Donovan Mitchell leads Cavs with 28 points in win
      Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 28 points (9-of-23 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one triple in a 104-103 win over the Magic in Game 5 on Tuesday.

      Advice: After two poor performances in Orlando, Mitchell vowed to play better moving forward. He did just that, and while he didn’t have his best shooting night, he was able to lead the team in scoring and ice the game with two a pair of late free throws. They’ll have a chance to close out the series in Orlando in Game 6 on Friday, but Mitchell will have to be much better than he was in Games 3 and 4.     • Increased role Monday
      Horford supplied seven points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Monday's 102-88 win over the Heat in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Horford was forced into an increased role Monday, thanks to a calf injury to Kristaps Porzingis. While initial reports indicate that Porzingis has avoided anything serious, there is certainly a chance he will miss at least the next game.       McCollum amassed 20 points (9-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 37 minutes during Monday's 97-89 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

      Advice: McCollum didn't have his best shooting night from beyond the arc, but he still led the Pelicans with 20 points and also managed to stuff the stat sheet. The 32-year-old averaged 17.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.5 steals in the opening-round series loss (four games). Rotowire.com Monday, 9:11 pm
       
    • Al Horford starts second half in place of KP
      Al Horford started the second half on Monday and contributed seven points (3-of-5 FGs), eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one triple against the Heat.

      Advice: Kristaps Porzingis exited just before halftime of this game with what was initially labeled a right calf strain. However, more recent reports indicate that it may be an Achilles injury, and he will undergo imaging on Tuesday. Horford didn’t contribute much in the box score, but even at his age, he is still more than capable of contributing at a high level until Porzingis is available to play again. If it is a serious injury for KP, Horford may be the starting center for the rest of their playoff run, with Luke Kornet likely filling out the backup minutes down low.     • Ineffective in Game 4 loss
      Beal posted nine points (4-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and one block over 31 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 122-116 loss to Minnesota in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

      Advice: This was Beal's worst game of the playoffs, and it resulted in the Suns getting swept by the Timberwolves in the first round. For the fifth straight campaign, Beal was unable to eclipse 60 games and struggled with injuries. He ended up making 53 appearances in his first season with the Suns, posting averages of 18.2 points, 5.0 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.9 three-pointers.     • Pascal Siakam scores 13 on 14 FG, but Pacers win
      Pascal Siakam finished Sunday’s win over Milwaukee with 13 points (6-of-14 FG, 0-of-4 3-Pointers), nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block across 40 minutes.

      Advice: Siakam was monstrous on offense in Games 1 and 2, combining for 73 points on 31-of-48 shooting. In Games 3 and 4, however, his scoring regressed, and he totaled just 30 points on 13-of-31 shooting. Siakam’s poor showing on offense was buoyed by the duo of Myles Turner and Tyrese Haliburton, who combined for 53 points and 12 triples on 18-of-33 shooting. Despite his woes as a shooter, Spicy P was still able to make an impact thanks to his rebounding, playmaking and defense.       Siakam notched 13 points (6-14 FG< 0-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block over 40 minutes in Sunday's 126-113 win over the Bucks in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Siakam has been outstanding for Indiana all series against Milwaukee, posting a well-rounded performance in Sunday's Game 4 while helping the Pacers take a commanding 3-1 series lead. Siakam struggled shooting a bit from the field, but he still reached double figures in scoring while ending one rebound and three assists short of a triple-double. Siakam has tallied at least 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists in two games this series, and we should expect him to continue to shine for Indiana in a potential series-clinching Game 5 in Milwaukee.       Irving finished Sunday's 116-111 loss to the Clippers in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with 40 points (14-25 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds and five assists over 45 minutes.

      Advice: Irving put on a show offensively for Dallas in Sunday's contest, leading all players in scoring while pacing the Mavericks in threes made and ending second on the team in rebounds and assists in a losing effort. Irving has turned things up a notch in the postseason, tallying at least 20 points in all four games of the first-round series while surpassing the 30-point mark in the last two contests.
