    • Jonas Valanciunas grabs 20 rebounds in Game 1 loss
Jonas Valanciunas finished Sunday’s 94-92 loss to Oklahoma City with 13 points (5-of-9 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 20 rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 29 minutes.

Advice: Valanciunas was elite on the boards in Game 1, with nine of his 20 rebounds being of the offensive variety. Those extra possessions added up, with the Pelicans attempting 11 more shots than the Thunder and outscoring them by a 24-11 margin in second-chance points. However, Oklahoma City was a plus-6 in points in the paint (42-36). Going back to Valanciunas, Zion Williamson’s hamstring injury protects his minutes, as there were multiple occasions during the regular season in which JV’s role was diminished in favor of a Zion/Larry Nance Jr. tandem. Nance played 19 minutes on Sunday, finishing with eight points, eight rebounds, and one steal. Expect a similar split regarding playing time in Game 2 on Wednesday. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:32 pm
    • Strong from deep in 20-point game
George registered 22 points (8-20 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal across 38 minutes during Sunday's 109-97 win over the Mavericks in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: George had a strong performance from deep in Sunday's Game 1 victory, connecting on a quartet of threes while ending second on the team in scoring and as one of three Clippers with 20 or more points in a winning effort. George, who also hauled in a half-dozen rebounds, concluded the regular season by scoring at least 20 points in six of his final 10 outings. George and teammate James Harden will continue to function as the top offensive options for the Clippers if Kawhi Leonard (knee) misses additional time. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:48 pm
    • Available to face Clippers
Jones (shoulder) is not on the official injury report and will be available for Game 1 of the opening-round series against the Clippers on Sunday.

Advice: Jones didn't play in the Mavericks' final game of the regular season because the training staff wanted him to rest a lingering shoulder issue. He shouldn't have any limitations against the Clippers on Sunday. He started his final 19 regular-season appearances and averaged 7.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.2 steals-plus-blocks in 21.8 minutes per game during that stretch. • Delivers double-double
Valanciunas ended Friday's 105-98 Play-In Game win over the Kings with 19 points (8-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and two blocks over 27 minutes.

Advice: Valanciunas was a non-factor in the loss against the Lakers during the first round of the Play-In Tournament. However, he stepped up in a big way Friday to help New Orleans avoid elimination and posted his second double-double since the beginning of April. With Zion Williamson (hamstring) sidelined, the Pelicans will likely need more consistent production from Valanciunas in the paint. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:03 am
    • Jonas Valanciunas posts 19/12/3 line, two blocks
Jonas Valanciunas finished Friday’s 105-98 win over the Kings with 19 points (8-of-16 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), 12 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots in 27 minutes.

Advice: There have been times this season when the Pelicans used Zion Williamson at the five, relegating Valanciunas to the bench. With the Pelicans’ best player out with a hamstring injury, JV’s minutes appear to be more secure. However, Friday’s matchup had much to do with that, as he logged 27 minutes against fellow Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis. Valanciunas recorded a solid double-double with a few assists and blocks, and this is the level of production the Pelicans will need from him with Williamson out. However, Larry Nance Jr. could figure more prominently in the first-round series against Oklahoma City due to the Thunder’s lack of a bruiser in the middle. Nance played 21 minutes on Friday, finishing with 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Rotoworld Friday, 9:20 pm
    • Ayo Dosunmu shoots poorly in season finale Friday
Ayo Dosunmu (right quad contusion) shot 3-of-15 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Friday’s loss to the Heat, scoring 10 points with four rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks, and two 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: Give Donsunmu credit for not allowing the shooting struggles to limit what he did in other areas, as he accumulated four assists, three steals, and two blocked shots. However, a cold night from three (2-of-11) sank Dosunmu’s field-goal percentage like a stone. Friday was a disappointing ending for a player who made significant strides after the Bulls lost Zach LaVine and Patrick Williams to season-ending foot injuries. Dosunmu provided 11th-round per-game value in 9-cat formats and 12th-round value in 8-cat. Where he’s selected in drafts ahead of next season depends on the availability of LaVine and Williams, with the latter being a restricted free agent. Rotoworld Friday, 7:32 pm
    • Leads team with 14 boards
Vucevic notched 16 points (7-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 14 rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals over 35 minutes during Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game loss to the Heat.

Advice: Vucevic turned in a valiant effort in Friday's elimination game, but the Heat cruised to a big victory with the help of Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez. Vucevic was held in check offensively along with the rest of the Chicago squad, as the Bulls were held to 91 points on 38.0 percent shooting from the field. The 33-year-old closed the season with four consecutive double-doubles. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:30 pm
    • Alex Caruso (foot) plays 33 minutes in defeat
Alex Caruso (right foot sprain) finished Friday’s loss to the Heat with six points (2-of-8 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, one block, and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: Caruso was a game-time decision for Friday after injuring his foot during the first half of Wednesday’s win over the Hawks. While he played starters’ minutes, he did not have much impact on either end of the floor. The limited scoring output was unsurprising, but the Bulls struggled to defend Tyler Herro and Jaime Jaquez Jr. with a limited Caruso on the court. The rugged guard finished the season as a 5th-round player in 8- and 9-cat formats, exceeding his Yahoo ADP (140.7) by a significant margin. The only way Caruso is off the board in standard leagues ahead of the 100th pick will be if Zach LaVine (foot), Lonzo Ball (knee), and Patrick Williams (foot) aren’t available for the start of next season and pending free agent DeMar DeRozan is not re-signed. • Adds 12 points off bench
Green closed Friday's 112-91 Play-In Game loss to the Heat with 12 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 17 minutes.

Advice: Green led Chicago's bench with 12 points, but his effort wasn't enough to help his team advance to the opening round of the postseason. He finished the 2023-24 campaign on a high note by putting up 10 or more points in seven of eight appearances over his final month of action. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:22 pm
