    • Rondo gets aggressive with 19 points in win
Rajon Rondo was a bit more aggressive in the Mavs' 102-93 win over the Pelicans on Monday, scoring 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes.

Advice: Rondo did not get a steal and the assist numbers are down, but anything attached to the word 'aggression' should be viewed as a good thing. If he was dropped in an 8-cat league now is probably the time to take a chance on him, since the run-in with Rick Carlisle could produce a turnaround, if that's indeed in the cards. Rotoworld.com

    • Jefferson ties season-high with 16 points
Richard Jefferson tied a season-high with 16 points in Monday's win over the Pelicans, hitting 5-of-6 shots (2-of-2 3PTs, 4-of-4 FTs) with five rebounds and one block in 34 minutes.

Advice: Both the Chandler boys are day-to-day with their injuries and the return of either of them will probably kill any value that Jefferson has. Rotoworld.com

    • Aminu quiet but grabs four steals in win
Al-Farouq Aminu was quiet in Monday's win, scoring just two points with two rebounds and one assist in 24 minutes, but did manage to have four steals to somewhat save his night.

Advice: Aminu has been a top 75-85 player for his last 15 games and a top 100-130 (9/8 cat) player over his last 30 games. This dud isn't going to do anything great for his perceived value and maybe this ride is ending for owners, but if you owned him for the last two months you were certainly doing so at a profit. Clearly for that size of a sample his value isn't really attached to the whims of injury absences and the like. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Gordon posts 18-5-4 line with four treys
Eric Gordon's surprising surge continued in Monday's loss to the Mavs as he scored 18 points on 4-of-11 shooting (including four treys) with five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block.

Advice: The production isn't surprising as he's been doing this for a while now, posting a top 50-80 month (8/9 cat) with no end in sight. The fact that he has been consistent and healthy is the good part, and it's nice to see him carry some of the weight from that ugly contract the Pelicans signed him to. Tyreke Evans added 17 points, three boards, seven assists, one steal and one three in the loss. Rotoworld.com

    • Hot Ish: Smith has a good game vs. Raps
Ish Smith scored 19 points with five rebounds, nine assists and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes against the Raptors on Monday.

Advice: Coach Brett Brown already said that he likes Smith as a backup point guard, so he's not going to leapfrog Isaiah Canaan for the starting gig. That doesn't necessarily mean he won't outproduce him. In his last two games, he's averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 boards, 7.0 boards and 1.0 treys. He is worth a look in 16-team leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Asik manages just two points and seven boards
Omer Asik managed just two points, seven boards and one steal over 28 minutes in Monday's loss to the Mavs.

Advice: Asik looked a bit hobbled out there and it wouldn't be surprising to see him end up on an injury report, perhaps when reinforcements arrive. A borderline option when he's at his best, this outcome and the injury risk should be enough for owners that had been relying on him to move on. Rotoworld.com

    • Ajinca double-doubles with a steal and block
Alexis Ajinca kept his foot on the gas with Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson out on Monday, scoring 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting with 12 rebounds, one steal and one block in 25 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Ajinca has paid off with top-50 value over the last two weeks and with the Pelicans' durability issues he has a sneaky shot at finishing the year strong. There have been vague reports not necessarily altering Davis' 1-2 week timeline from about seven days ago, but we'll be watching closely to see if Ajinca can survive his return. Rotoworld.com

    • Cole scores 19 points off the bench
Norris Cole scored 19 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 8-of-12 shots (including two threes) with one rebound, three assists and one block in 36 minutes.

Advice: Cole is getting some extra looks with Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson out, and also not working in his long-term favor is that his standard-league game is a mess. He doesn't do much besides score and hit a few threes with a few assists, but he might be worth a look in your deeper points league. Rotoworld.com

    • Concentrated Revenge: Dragic burns Suns
Goran Dragic fought through a back injury and only needed nine shots from the field and less than 15 minutes to score 21 points against the Suns during a 115-98 win on Monday, adding four rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Dragic said he would have sat out against any other team, so chalk this one up to the old revenge game narrative. He was fouled hard and needed to go to the locker room tonight, so he might not be healthy for Wednesday against the Lakers. As for his performance tonight, he became just the second player in the past decade to score 21 points in less than 15 minutes (Kyle Lowry). He should have plenty of big lines on the way, if his back allows him to play. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Bledsoe scores 20 in decent line
Eric Bledsoe came up short against his former teammate, Goran Dragic, during a 115-98 loss on Monday with 20 points, four boards, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

Advice: He had a very slow start tonight and picked it up late. However, Bledsoe's team was lit up on the outside on defense and that's been a trend lately. Bledsoe has been a disappointment in most games since the trade deadline, but there is still a very good chance he turns it on late. In his previous games without Dragic, he averaged 17.2 points, 7.7 boards 6.5 boards, 1.2 blocks, 1.3 steals and 1.0 treys in those six. That's still pretty good. Rotoworld.com

    • Patrick Patterson scores 15 points
Patrick Patterson scored 15 points against the 76ers on Monday during a 114-103 win with four rebounds, three assists, one block and two 3-pointers.

Advice: The second unit is now a lot thinner with Greivis Vasquez moving into the starting lineup. James Johnson has to play more at small forward, so there are plenty of minutes for Patterson now. He should be an under-the-radar winner from the Kyle Lowry injury and should have nice value in the next week or so. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Martin, Nikola Pekovic out Monday
Kevin Martin (illness) and Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will not play against the Clippers on Monday.

Advice: The Wolves will start Gorgui Dieng and Gary Neal. Coach Flip Saunders said that the flus is going around and their assistant coach won't be at the arena. Martin still isn't a must-start player now that he has one game on the sidelines this week. Neal is also a risky play. We should get a lot of Andrew Wiggins. Rotoworld.com

    • Goran Dragic will start on Monday night
Goran Dragic (back) is going to start against the Suns on Monday.

Advice: If you're into revenge games, this might be your Super Bowl. Dragic should get minutes in the mid 30s tonight and is a must-start in standard leagues. He and Dwyane Wade haven't played too well together, but that's to be expected for two ball-dominant guys. Start the Dragon. Rotoworld.com

    • Goran Dragic (back) is a game-time call
Goran Dragic is a game-time decision against the Suns on Monday.

Advice: One would think he would at least try to play against a team with a front office he doesn't trust. Dragic has played well with the Heat, averaging 13.8 points, 3.0 boards, 5.4 dimes, 1.4 steals and 0.6 treys, so he's a must-start player if active, obviously. If he's out, we should get a lot of Shabazz Napier and Mario Chalmers running the point, but it'll be the Dwyane Wade Show, as well. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Martin suddenly questionable w/ illness
Kevin Martin (illness) is questionable to play on Monday vs. the Clippers.

Advice: If Martin can't suit up, expect Andrew Wiggins to be at the epicenter of whatever Minnesota tries to do against Los Angeles. And if the veteran is sidelined, it's possible Gary Neal would slide into the starting lineup. Rotoworld.com

    • Goran Dragic (back) questionable for Monday
Goran Dragic (back) is still being listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Suns.

Advice: Dragic really wants to play, but he's clearly hurting even though he did report some improvement. He did not participate in shootaround, an indication that The Dragon could be headed for a dreaded game-time call. If he's unable to suit up, Mario Chalmers would start and see all of the minutes he can handle with Shabazz Napier as his backup. Rotoworld.com

    • Agent: Monroe will consider Pistons in FA
Greg Monroe's agent David Falk said Monroe will "absolutely" consider re-signing with the Pistons in free agency.

Advice: What Falk didn't say, however, is how long Monroe would consider the possibility. Falk added that Monroe made the decision to pursue signing the qualifying offer, calling him "one of the brightest clients I've ever represented." The Monroe-Andre Drummond frontline has worked out much better ever since Josh Smith's departure, but it's still hard to envision a scenario where the Pistons commit big money to the Moose, especially if the club intends to extend restricted free agent Reggie Jackson. Monroe will be free to sign anywhere this summer. Rotoworld.com

    • Rodney Hood still on minutes limit for now
Rodney Hood (foot) remains on a minutes limit for the time being.

Advice: Hood is limited to 10 minutes per half as he works his way back from extended foot issues, and it's not clear when that restriction may be lifted. Elijah Millsap will continue to play extended minutes while Hood works his way back into form. Rotoworld.com

    • Alec Burks traveling with Jazz while injured
Alec Burks (shoulder) is traveling with the Jazz.

Advice: Although he's out for the season, Burks is engaging in film studies and off-court activities to make the most of his time away from the floor. "It’s really good that he’s here, that he’s with us," Quin Snyder said. "He wants to be with us. He’s in the film sessions." Burks has ditched the protective sling for his shoulder and expects to make a full recovery before next season begins. Rotoworld.com

    • Omer Asik secures game-high 16 rebounds
Omer Asik secured a game-high 16 rebounds in 25 minutes vs. Denver on Sunday, while scoring nine points on 3-of-5 field goals and 3-of-5 free throws.

Advice: Asik also had three assists and one steal, and the 60.0 percent FT shooting actually raised his season average. His fantasy value is restricted to the traditional big-man categories, but he's a decent option this week with the Pelicans' frontcourt desperately thin. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Gordon scores 18 points in NOP victory
Eric Gordon scored 18 points vs. the Nuggets on Sunday, adding three 3-pointers, two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 32 minutes.

Advice: He's now made a 3-pointer in 25 consecutive games which is huge for a Pelicans team that ranks in the bottom-10 for 3-pointers made. With Ryan Anderson (knee) out of commission, it's safe to say Gordon will have a neon-green light to shoot from downtown in the coming weeks. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 8:03 pm
    • Goran Dragic (back) questionable for Monday
According to head coach Erik Spoelstra, Goran Dragic is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Suns after he dealt with back spasms during Saturday's game vs. the Hawks.

Advice: "He got hit in the back and that's why he was in the locker room," Spoelstra said. "He probably shouldn't have played in the second half. He just played through it. I kept on asking him if he was OK and he said he was... He gutted it out." Dragic will likely do everything in his power to be ready in time to face his former team, and we should be able to provide another update after the Heat's shootaround on Monday morning. If Dragic can't play, Mario Chalmers will be the primary beneficiary, while Shabazz Napier would likely see an uptick in minutes off the bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Ish Smith starts 2nd half over Isaiah Canaan
Ish Smith took over at PG to start the second half vs. Indiana on Sunday, posting 11 points, one 3-pointer, four rebounds and five assists in the Sixers' loss.

Advice: Smith is a career 38.6 percent shooter and fantasy owners should be extremely wary of his 47.4 percent free throw shooting this season. He's a decent speculative add for deep-league owners seeking a point guard, but his starting job isn't guaranteed and we wouldn't cut anyone of value to get him. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 6:27 pm
    • Ish Smith starts 2nd half over Isaiah Canaan
Ish Smith started the second half in place of Isaiah Canann on Sunday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Canaan has struggled with his conditioning and hasn't exactly looked comfortable running the point in Philly, but head coach Brett Brown has been known to shake things up occasionally. Smith was averaging 6.3 points, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals in his previous three performances with the 76ers, but owners in most leagues should use a wait-and-see approach here. Rotoworld.com

    • Rajon Rondo says thoughts over FA are same
Rajon Rondo said that his thoughts regarding his impending free agency haven't changed since his spat with head coach Rick Carlisle.

Advice: Rondo is going to hold his cards close to his chest, but he hasn't had the smoothest transition since leaving Boston. He is averaging just 7.6 points, 4.6 assists, 2.8 boards and 3.6 turnovers over his last five games, and he is also shooting just 43 percent from the field and 33 percent from the charity stripe over that span. He still has some value in points leagues, but he is a huge liability in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Bledsoe doesn't have an assist
Eric Bledsoe was on the other end of the spectrum on Saturday during a 101-74 loss to the Spurs with 12 points, six rebounds, no assists and two turnovers.

Advice: Brandon Knight went down tonight, which actually might hurt Bledsoe a tad. In fact, Bledsoe was making a sterling 70.0 effective field goal percentage off Knight passes before tonight. Basically, fantasy owners can throw this game out the window for every Sun. Alex Len (six points and nine boards), P.J. Tucker (five points and 11 boards) and Markieff Morris (10 points and two boards) also didn't play well. Rotoworld.com

    • Rajon Rondo scores eight in return
Rajon Rondo scored eight points in his return to the lineup on Saturday against the Nets, adding seven rebounds, six assists and four turnovers in 28 minutes.

Advice: The best part of all this for his fantasy owners is that he didn't go to the free throw line. Rondo looked awful on defense again tonight and ranked dead last on his team for plus-minus at minus-22. He's not a must-own player in standard leagues, but he should be viewed as a mid-to-late-round guy in points leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 8:17 pm
    • Al-Farouq Aminu scores 12 points
Al-Farouq Aminu filled it up against the Nets on Saturday with 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, four steals, two blocks and two 3-pointers on 4-of-4 from the field.

Advice: He finally turned it around tonight. Aminu had a big chance to put up numbers while the Mavs were without the Chandlers, but his chance to step up is likely dwindling with both guys close to a return. If he's still on the wire, he should probably stay there. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 8:11 pm
    • Goran Dragic struggles against the Hawks
Goran Dragic went scoreless in the first half against the Hawks on Saturday, finishing with six points, three rebounds, six assists, two steals and three turnovers.

Advice: It's been a bumpy ride for Dragic, but his averages still look fine. In his five games with the Heat, he averaged 13.8 points, 3.0 boards, 5.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.6 treys on 49.1 percent from the field. He should get even better and have a chance to be a third- or fourth-round guy. Rotoworld.com

    • Greg Monroe has worst game in a while
Greg Monroe was quiet against the Wizards on Saturday with 21 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during a 99-95 loss.

Advice: While this was a solid game, the Pistons really have to work on their defense. They have allowed the likes of Nene, Marcin Gortat, Lou Amundson and Andrea Bargnani to go off on them this weekend. As for Monroe's production, it's been consistent and he is one of the better bets for a double-double on a given night. Andre Drummond had 13 points, nine rebounds and one block tonight. • Patrick Patterson moves back to bench Sat.
Patrick Patterson will move back to the bench for Saturday's game vs. the Knicks, allowing Amir Johnson to reclaim his spot in the starting lineup.

Advice: Patterson scored just four points in a start against the Warriors on Friday, but head coach Dwane Casey probably needs his scoring punch off the bench. It's safe to leave Patterson on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 4:35 pm
    • Rajon Rondo says spat with Carlisle is over
Rajon Rondo made it clear that his spat with head coach Rick Carlisle is over and that he is ready to move on.

Advice: "Definitely, he had some frustrations with me and vice-versa," Rondo said. "So communication is definitely key in this situation. We’ve had a couple talks since then, and we’re going to move forward." Rondo was suspended for Wednesday's game vs. the Hawks, but he is expected to start against the Nets on Saturday, sending J.J. Barea back to the bench. However, Rondo is averaging just 7.5 points, 4.3 assists and 1.8 rebounds in his last four games, so his owners would be advised to leave him on the bench until he turns things around. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 8:55 am
    • Greg Monroe noncommittal over free agency
Greg Monroe was noncommittal when asked about his thoughts on becoming a free agent in this summer.

Advice: "I'm not thinking about it right now, honestly," Monroe said before Friday's loss to the Knicks. "I’m focusing on what I have to do for this team. It’s something down the line. When I get to that point, I’ll always make the right decision for me and my family, but right now I’m just focusing what I have to do here." The Knicks are among the teams said to be interested in prying Monroe away from Detroit in the summer, and after averaging 15.6 points, 10.5 boards and 2.0 assists per game this season, it's clear that Monroe will have plenty of suitors. • Hood posts versatile line off the bench
Rodney Hood scored 14 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 5-of-8 shots (including three treys) with two rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 20 minutes.

Advice: Hood has flashed a handful of versatile lines but otherwise been a 3-point shooter. If he can keep this up it'll go a long way toward establishing some fantasy value, because he's unlikely to get the volume to hold standard league value otherwise. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 12:50 am
    • Gordon posts 20 pts, eight rebs, four 3PMs
Eric Gordon scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting (including four threes) with one rebound and eight assists in the Pelicans' 104-102 win over the Heat on Friday.

Advice: The Pelicans aren't falling out of contention in the playoff chase and Gordon is a big reason why. He's been a top 50-75 guy (8/9 cat) over the last month or so and that'll probably be the case until (if) Jrue Holiday returns. Tyreke Evans added 19 points, three boards, 11 assists, one trey and five turnovers in the win. Rotoworld.com

    • Ajinca goes for 24 and eight in win over Heat
Alexis Ajinca scored a career-high 24 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 9-of-10 shots with eight rebounds and three blocks in just 22 minutes.

Advice: Ajinca also hit the game's final, deciding shot and he's looking pretty automatic whenever 20-30 mpg clears up. Anthony Davis could be back in the next week or so and Ryan Anderson is about two weeks behind Davis on a timetable. In the meantime, Ajinca should be owned by somebody in your league. Rotoworld.com

    • Cole goes hitless on 10 shot attempts
Norris Cole missed all 10 of his field goal attempts on Friday, finishing with three points (3-of-4 FTs), two boards and four assists in 23 minutes.

Advice: This could be his worst game for the rest of the season and he had been fairly hot coming in. Cole isn't a must-own player or even a strong add, but he could wiggle his way into a productive role before it's all said and done in New Orleans. Rotoworld.com

    • Dragic goes for 20 and five in loss
Goran Dragic scored 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting with three rebounds, five assists and one steal in the Heat's loss to the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: Dragic has been a top-70 player so far in Miami and that's likely to rise as he gets comfortable and his role increases. Rotoworld.com

    • Patrick Patterson stinks in a start
Patrick Patterson started against the Warriors on Friday with four points, two rebounds and one turnover in 22 minutes.

Advice: This starting lineup usually crushes when it's on the court, but that wasn't the case tonight. Patterson's numbers probably won't change with the starters, but he'll obviously be better than this. He's more of a 14- and 16-team guy right now. Rotoworld.com

    • Patrick Patterson starting over Amir Johnson
Patrick Patterson will start over Amir Johnson on Friday.

Advice: It makes a lot of sense on offense to help space the floor for basically every other starter. Patterson's role shouldn't change too much and we're basically just going to see his minutes come next to different guys. Still, he has a nice upside and is worth a look in standard leagues in case he gets an extra 5-8 minutes tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Rajon Rondo goes through full practice Friday
Rajon Rondo went through a full practice on Friday, and he will return to the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Nets.

Advice: Rondo has really struggled with the move to Dallas. He's averaging just 9.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.9 turnovers on 40.8 percent shooting since joining the Mavs. He's no longer putting up elite assist totals, which was really his only source of value, and with poor percentages and limited contributions in the major statistical categories, Rondo can be viewed as a drop-candidate in standard leagues. • Mt. Bledsoe erupts against the Thunder
Eric Bledsoe was a superstar against the Thunder on Thursday during a 117-113 overtime win, making 11-of-16 from the field for 28 points with 13 rebounds, nine assists, one steal, four blocks and two 3-pointers.

Advice: That's good for an effective field goal percentage of 75.0. In what was a very uptempo game, Bledsoe seemed to be in total control, which has been the story for his game lately. In his last six games, Bledsoe averaged 20.7 points, 7.3 boards, 7.2 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 treys on 50.6 percent from the field. People don't call him Mini-LeBron for no reason. • Rajon Rondo unlikely to return to Dallas
Rajon Rondo is unlikely to return to the Mavericks after this season, according to Tim McMahon of ESPN Dallas.

Advice: While Tyson Chandler expects Rondo's recent run-in with head coach Rick Carlisle to bring the team closer, McMahon thinks the altercation and ensuing one-game suspension will lead the free-agent-to-be to bolt Dallas after the season. A winning season could cure everything here, but Rondo has spoken about his desire to be wooed during the free agency period so this latest incident likely won't help the Mavericks' chances to retain the mercurial point guard. • Rajon Rondo will start vs Nets on Saturday
Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle said Rajon Rondo will start against the Nets on Saturday after serving a one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team.

Advice: An on-court verbal exchange and ensuing post-game shouting match in the locker room led to a one-game suspension for Rondo, but Carlisle is ready to move forward. "It’s one game, we’ll be off [Thursday]," Carlisle said. "He’ll practice Friday, and he’ll be back in the starting lineup on Saturday. The events of last night are in the past. And we’ve got to move forward." It sounds like it's safe for fantasy owners to plug Rondo back into their lineups for Saturday's game against the Nets, while J.J. Barea and Devin Harris will return to bench roles. Rotoworld.com

    • Alexis Ajinca plays just 18 minutes in win
Alexis Ajinca came off the bench and played just 18 minutes on Wednesday, but still had 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks on 4-of-6 shooting.

Advice: The minutes don't make a lot of sense, but guys like Quincy Pondexter and Dante Cunningham played well in this one. Any time Anthony Davis is out, Ajinca still qualifies as an interesting sleeper pick. Rotoworld.com

    • Eric Gordon's slump continues Wednesday
Eric Gordon hit just 2-of-11 shots (both 3-pointers) for eight points, six rebounds, four assists and a steal on Wednesday.

Advice: He's really struggling with his shot right now, hitting just 19-of-61 shots over his last five games, good for just 31 percent. He's averaging 12.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.2 3-pointers over that stretch, so if his shot ever comes back, he could start putting up some really nice numbers. • Omer Asik double-doubles in win
Omer Asik had 12 points, 13 rebounds and a block in Wednesday's win over Brooklyn, the third straight for the short-handed Pelicans.

Advice: They continue to try to track down OKC for the No. 8 seed in the West, but they got a serious uphill climb in actually making the playoffs. But as long as Anthony Davis is out, Asik should ball, and he's now double-doubled in two straight games, and just missed a third with 15 points and nine rebounds. Rotoworld.com

    • Kevin Martin still hot, scores 28 in win
Kevin Martin kept it rolling on Wednesday, hitting 10-of-15 shots and two 3-pointers for 28 points and two steals in an easy win over the Wizards.

Advice: He's on fire and has scored 21 or more points in six straight games. If you stuck with him through the wrist debacle, he's paying off down the stretch. Rotoworld.com

    • Al-Farouq Aminu disappears in loss to Hawks
Al-Farouq Aminu played 27 minutes off the bench Wednesday, but hit just 1-of-7 shots for two points and five rebounds.

Advice: He's had a couple nice games recently, but owners who have rolled the dice on him have also had to suffer through three duds. It all equals out to 7.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks on 35 percent shooting over his last five games, which just isn't very helpful. And if he can't get it done with Dirk Nowitzki struggling, and Rajon Rondo, Tyson Chandler and Amare Stoudemire in street clothes, the future doesn't look to promising for his consistency. • Richard Jefferson scores 10 in loss to Hawks
Richard Jefferson hit 3-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for 10 points, four rebounds and an assist in Wednesday's loss at Atlanta.

Advice: RJ has barely hit double digits in three straight games and is currently starting for Chandler Parsons (ankle), but he's just not doing enough to help fantasy owners much. And with Parsons due back sooner than later, the clock is ticking on RJ being relevant. Rotoworld.com

    • Rondo, Carlisle had 2nd argument after game
Rajon Rondo and coach Rick Carlisle had another "emotionally charged dispute in the locker room after the game," according to ESPN.com's Tim MacMahon.

Advice: Rondo is not going to play tonight because of it and these arguments may hurt his playing time going forward, though Carlisle said Rondo will start Saturday's game as usual. The Mavericks are not much better with Rondo on the floor and they probably won't miss him tonight. In fact, his Mavs teammates made only 47.9 percent from the field off passes from Rondo. Before Rondo arrived, the Mavs were making 49.1 percent from the field off Monta Ellis passes. Rondo is not a must-own player in standard leagues. Meanwhile, J.J. Barea and Devin Harris will step up. • Mavs suspend Rajon Rondo for one game
Rajon Rondo has been suspended for Wednesday's game against the Hawks due to conduct detrimental to the team.

Advice: He got into an argument with Rick Carlisle on Tuesday and his coach benched him after that. Rondo has been awful this season and it'll be interesting to see how the Mavericks put their lineups together. The former Celtic has actually been below average as defender and the Mavericks have also fallen as an offense since he's joined them, so this suspension might help them tonight. With Rondo out, it'll be J.J. Barea likely to start with Devin Harris also getting more run. Expect to see Monta Ellis have a bigger responsibility as well. Rotoworld.com

    • Rajon Rondo benched after argument w/ coach
Rajon Rondo had a heated verbal exchange with coach Rick Carlisle early in the third quarter on Tuesday, after which Rondo never re-entered the game.

Advice: "Emotional game and we had a difference of opinion," Carlisle said afterward. "Once it was over, it was over." Rondo appeared to ignore Carlisle's play call during an offensive possession, which led to a frustrated timeout during which Rondo and his coach openly yelled at one another in the huddle, and the fact that he didn't return to the game suggests it wasn't immediately "over" as Carlisle suggested. Rondo finished with four points and four assists in 18 minutes and we expect him to resume his typical role as a starter vs. Atlanta on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com

    • Patrick Patterson (knee) has 12 pts in return
Patrick Patterson returned from a sore left knee to finish Tuesday's road loss in Dallas with 12 points, two 3-pointers, seven rebounds, one assist and one block.

Advice: He shot 5-of-11 from the field in 28 minutes of action and the knee injury doesn't seem likely to limit him going forward. Pat-Pat's steady contributions in 3-pointers (1.5), rebounds (5.3), steals (1.5) and blocks (0.7) have been enough for mid-round value over the past few months, especially since he shoots well from both the field and the FT line. • Al-Farouq Aminu grabs 12 boards w/ two blocks
Al-Farouq Aminu tied his season-high with 12 rebounds in 28 minutes vs. Toronto on Tuesday, adding one steal, two blocks, and nine points on 4-of-9 shooting.

Advice: Aminu has always had intriguing per-minute stats and that's never been more obvious than this season with Dallas. On a per-36-minute basis he's posting 11.6 points, 1.0 threes, 8.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.9 blocks. Those are solid stats by any measure and he's worth deploying now that he's settled into a 25-minute role off Rick Carlisle's bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Patrick Patterson (knee) will play on Tuesday
Patrick Patterson (left knee sprain) will play on Tuesday vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: Patterson wasn't able to play on Monday against the Pelicans, but the fact that he is returning after just a one-game absence suggests that his injury is likely minor. With season averages of just 8.5 points, 5.5 boards and 1.4 3-pointers in 26.5 minutes per game, his value is limited to deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Bledsoe posts monster 21-7-10 line in loss
Eric Bledsoe scored 21 points on 8-of-18 shooting (including two threes) with seven rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, one block and six turnovers in Monday's home loss to the Celtics.

Advice: With Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas out and just Brandon Knight coming in, don't be surprised if Bledsoe posts first and second round value in 8- and 9-cat leagues, respectively. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 10:10 pm
    • Asik double-doubles in win over the Raptors
Omer Asik double-doubled in the Pelicans' 100-97 win over the Raptors on Monday, scoring 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting (6-of-10 FTs) with 11 rebounds and two blocks.

Advice: Asik has a window to produce with Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson out, but his stat set is terrible for standard leagues due to a lack of defensive stats and poor free throw percentage. If everything is clicking he can be a late-round value in 8-cat leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 9:19 pm
    • Ajinca scores 16 points with nine rebounds
Alexis Ajinca scored 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting with nine rebounds, two assists and one block in 27 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Raptors.

Advice: Ajinca has done surprisingly well when pressed into action for Anthony Davis or Ryan Anderson this season. And with the way those two guys are holding up these days, it's possible this current window of productivity gets extended throughout the year -- particularly if and when the Pelicans fall out of the playoff chase. • Norris Cole posts 15 points, six assists
Norris Cole backed up a solid debut from Saturday with 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting, one rebound, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Advice: The Pelicans might be desperate enough for offense that Cole steps into the void right away and produces. Consider him a flier pick for 12-14 team leagues at this time. Rotoworld.com

    • Ish Smith plays 24 minutes, scores seven
Ish Smith made his 76ers debut on Monday, scoring seven points with three rebounds, seven assists, three steals and four turnovers in 24 minutes.

Advice: He has already leapfrogged Tim Frazier and he logged some minutes next to Frazier and Canaan tonight. Smith could be looking at around 27 minutes per game with his new team, but he's only worth a look in deep leagues. Additionally, this is his eighth team in five seasons. Rotoworld.com

    • Goran Dragic looks much better with 23 & 10
Goran Dragic showed why the Heat traded for him on Monday with 23 points, two rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: He only had one assist in his Heat debut on Saturday and was on the other end of the spectrum tonight. Dragic was highly involved in the offense and he should add plenty more double-doubles with his new team. He's one of the best point guards in the paint, which should complement the rest of the starters. He's a must-start player. Rotoworld.com

    • Patrick Patterson out with knee sprain
Patrick Patterson (left knee sprain) will not play against the Pelicans on Monday.

Advice: He played his normal 24 minutes on Saturday, but didn't quite look like himself. Patterson should be considered questionable for Tuesday against the Mavs. Amir Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas should get more minutes with Tyler Hansbrough playing a bit more. James Johnson should also get run at the four. Rotoworld.com

    • Patrick Patterson (knee) questionable Monday
Patrick Patterson (sprained knee) is questionable to play on Monday against the Pelicans.

Advice: If Patterson is forced to sit out, it would mean more minutes for the Johnson Bros* in Amir and James. Please note that these guys are not actually brothers, and that is just a nickname. Tyler Hansbrough could also see a small boost in minutes if Patterson is sidelined, but he's not worth fantasy consideration. Rotoworld.com

    • Spoelstra wants to make Dragic comfortable
Erik Spoelstra said of his "biggest priorities" is to make Goran Dragic "feel comfortable as soon as we can."

Advice: "It was tough. Sometimes you didn’t know where to go," Dragic said of his debut with his new teammates. Spoelstra also said that the Heat want to "play to his strengths" when talking about Dragic's acclimation, and it will be an adjustment process for all involved. Even Dwyane Wade admitted it will take some time to play with another guy who can create off the dribble, and it sounds like the Heat will be tinkering with their new look for at least the next several contests. • Richard Jefferson double-doubles in start
Richard Jefferson started in place of Chandler Parsons (ankle) on Sunday night against the Hornets and did not disappoint with 10 points, 10 boards, four assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: Jefferson turned back the clock tonight and even posterized Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with a vicious dunk, though it was called back as an offensive foul (follow the link below to watch it). Regardless, Jefferson showed that he still has some gas left in the tank, and with Parsons expected to miss at least the next two games, owners in deeper leagues should give him a look. In four previous starts this season, Jefferson averaged 12.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 3-pointers in 28.3 minutes per game, so hopefully he keeps it rolling against the Raptors on Tuesday. • Richard Jefferson will start vs. Charlotte
Richard Jefferson will start in place of Chandler Parsons (ankle) for Sunday's game vs. the Hornets.

Advice: While it's Jefferson who gets the nod with the first unit, Al-Farouq Aminu will likely be the primary beneficiary in Parson's absence and is worth a look in deeper leagues with Parsons out for the next three games. In four previous starts this season, Jefferson averaged 12.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 3-pointers in 28.3 minutes per game, so give him a look if those numbers appeal to you. Rotoworld.com

    • Greg Monroe double-doubles in win over WAS
Greg Monroe double-doubled during Sunday's win over the Wizards, putting up 15 points (6-of-16 from the field, 3-of-6 from the stripe), with 15 rebounds, three steals, two assists and two turnovers over 37 minutes of action.

Advice: While the efficiency was an issue tonight, that's not a regular occurrence for Monroe. He's averaging 16.1 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals on 51.7 percent shooting through the month of February, and he'll look to have a strong second-half to the season as Detroit fights for the final playoff spot in the East. • 76ers claim guard Ish Smith off waivers
The 76ers claimed guard Ish Smith on Sunday and have waived forward Malcolm Thomas.

Advice: Smith was recently waived by the Pelicans after they acquired Norris Cole in a trade, but he has a decent shot at minutes in Philadelphia so owners in deeper leagues can put him on their radar. Isaiah Canaan will get every opportunity to succeed as the starting PG in Philly for now, so Smith still has a lot of work to do before we can recommend an add. Rotoworld.com

    • Omer Asik just misses a double-double
Omer Asik scored 15 points against the Heat on Saturday during a 105-91 win with nine rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Advice: It was one of his best games in a while. Even with the Pelicans missing Ryan Anderson (knee) and Anthony Davis (shoulder) before, Asik hasn't put up scoring numbers like this one. He is worth a look in standard leagues now, but the upside isn't too high. Rotoworld.com
      Feb 21, 8:00 pm
    • Eric Gordon scores 24 points in easy win
Eric Gordon was fantastic against the Heat on Saturday with 24 points, four rebounds, six assists, one steal and six 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

Advice: This was a huge game from Gordon and the team is really, really going to need him to produce on offense. EJ (Eric Jr.) is launching a ton of treys right now and he's been a top-50 player in the past month. His injury history is behind him for now, so he's a must-start player in standard leagues. • Alexis Ajinca doesn't play much
Alexis Ajinca played only 11 minutes even with the injuries to the frontcourt on Saturday, scoring eight points with three rebounds.

Advice: The Heat went small, so coach Monty Williams may have gone with smaller guys here. Ajinca's per-minute numbers are pretty good and he does have decent numbers in his two starts at power forward, averaging 11.0 points, 5.5 boards and 1.0 blocks. If you need a big man in a deeper league, give him a look. Rotoworld.com
      Feb 21, 7:43 pm
    • Norris Cole plays a surprising 30 minutes
Norris Cole played a surprising 30 minutes against the Heat on Saturday with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Admittedly, we didn't see this coming, but the Pelicans just need bodies right now. Considering Tyreke Evans plays three positions, we might see Cole log minutes in the upper 20s at the point next to 'Reke while their power forwards are on the shelf. Cole doesn't have a high ceiling, so he's only worth a look in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Feb 21, 7:40 pm
    • Norris Cole available to play on Saturday
Norris Cole will play against the Heat on Saturday.

Advice: In his first game away from the Heat, he gets to play against them. The Pelicans have been using Jimmer Fredette as a backup point guard, but coach Monty Williams has become even more confident in Tyreke Evans at the one. There won't be many minutes for Cole tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Hood (foot) gets back on the floor on Friday
Rodney Hood (foot) got back on the floor on Friday, logging 10 minutes with six points and two 3-pointers.

Advice: In context this is a solid return for him but there's not a lot of upside given his deficient stat-set for standard formats. Rotoworld.com

    • Aminu sets season-highs with 17 and 12
Al-Farouq Aminu set season-highs in scoring (17) and rebounding (12) on Friday, and also added a block and 3-pointer in 30 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Aminu has been a top 50-60 asset over the last 15 games and that was good enough to be owned across the board before Chandler Parsons' ankle injury. Parsons will have an MRI on Saturday and it's not necessarily serious, but any time off would only boost Aminu's already rising stock. The concerns over Aminu's checkered past in fantasy leagues are fizzling with every solid night. Rotoworld.com

    • Kev-Mart scores 28 points in win vs. PHO
Kevin Martin scored 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting (1-of-6 3PTs, 7-of-9 FTs) with six rebounds, two assists and one steal in Friday's win over the Suns.

Advice: Martin doesn't look like he's going to get bought out and he's at peak production levels right now. If your league's trade deadline hasn't passed, you're running out of time to sell high. Rotoworld.com

    • Bledsoe posts mild line against the Wolves
Eric Bledsoe scored 12 points on 4-of-11 shooting (no threes) with seven rebounds and six assists in Friday's loss.

Advice: Bledsoe's stock improved with Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas heading out, but with Brandon Knight and Marcus Thornton heading in there's only so much he can gain in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Patterson has nice peripherals on Friday
Patrick Patterson scored seven points on 3-of-8 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 22 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Patterson isn't flashy but he's doing just fine in fantasy leagues this season, returning top 50-75 value overall (9/8 cat) despite playing just 26.5 mpg. Rotoworld.com
