Jarrett Allen grabs 20 rebounds in Game 2 victory
Jarrett Allen accumulated 16 points (6-of-10 FGs, 4-of-8 FTs), 20 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocked shots in 39 minutes in Monday’s Game 2 win over Orlando.
Advice: While the Magic like having Jonathan Isaac in the starting lineup to match up with Evan Mobley, the tradeoff in the series’ first two games was Allen looking like a Hall-of-Fame-caliber center. After grabbing 18 rebounds in Game 1, he corralled 20 more in Game 2 to help lead Cleveland to a 2-0 series lead. Orlando isn’t going to bench Paolo Banchero or Franz Wagner to account for Allen, which may put Isaac under the microscope ahead of Thursday’s Game 3. Mobley added 17 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.
