Haynes: ‘Growing optimism’ PHI signs Paul George
According to TNT’s Chris Haynes, there is “growing optimism” that Philadelphia will sign Paul George in free agency.
Advice: George’s desire for a four-year deal factored into his decision to opt out of the final season of his contract, as the Clippers have only offered three-year pacts thus far. Philadelphia has long been rumored as a potential landing spot for George, and the 76ers clearly remain interested despite reports to the contrary on June 20. George will reportedly hold meetings with the Clippers, 76ers, and Magic when free agency begins, but it’s fair to wonder if this report changes things for LA and Orlando.
