  • Dorell Wright going through workouts
Dorell Wright (hand) was going through solo workouts on Wednesday.

Advice: He had surgery two months ago and apparently has rehabbed enough to get back on the court. Wright is an unrestricted free agent this summer and will likely fetch a veteran minimum deal. Rotoworld.com

  • Nick Young says his 'knee is looking good'
Nick Young has been training since May 12 and he said that his "knee is looking good."

Advice: Head coach Byron Scott recently said that Young must improve his decision making, his off-the-ball movement and his off-ball defense, and Young has taken that advice to heart. "I’m taking his advice," Young said. "I’m just working to get better. I’m getting my jump shots tighter and ball handling tighter. I’ve been running off of cones on the floor for a while now." Young's knee has responded well to the workouts, and it looks like Swaggy P is determined to prove his worth to the Lakers this summer. Rotoworld.com

  • Sergey Karasev won't rule out FIBA hopes
Sergey Karasev (knee) said that he won't rule out playing for Russia during Eurobasket this summer and that it all depends on his rehab.

Advice: Karasev had surgery to repair a dislocated patella and a torn MCL in his right knee in March, and he is still targeting a return to contact basketball in August (Eurobasket begins in September). It is highly unlikely that he ends up playing for Russia and it should also be noted that he was seen walking with a slight limp this week while practicing free throws. Regardless of what happens, Karasev should be ready to go by training camp. Rotoworld.com

  • Danilo Gallinari publicly backs Melvin Hunt
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Danilo Gallinari said that he hoped Melvin Hunt would be the head coach of the Nuggets next season.

Advice: "Our goal next season will be to make the playoffs. I hope Melvin Hunt will be our coach next season," Gallinari said. "He knows basketball very well, also European basketball, something that can make the difference in the NBA. He is a very positive person and he is great in motivating the players. I think he has the qualities to succeed as head coach." The Nuggets are the only NBA team without a head coach in place, but Hunt still appears to be the frontrunner. Rotoworld.com

  • Drummond speaks highly of Quincy Miller
Andre Drummond said that Quincy Miller is worth keeping an eye on and that he believes Miller could be a part of the Pistons' young core moving forward.

Advice: Miller's contract is partially guaranteed for the 2015-16 season, but he will be glad to know that Drummond has his back. He made four brief appearances for the Pistons during the final stages of last season, but he did have some good moments. Miller hasn't lived up to his potential yet, but the Pistons have a glaring need at small forward. Depending on what Detroit does in the draft and free agency, it looks like Miller may have a chance to fight for a place in the rotation this summer. He is not on the fantasy radar yet, but he's worth keeping an eye on. Rotoworld.com

  • Carl Landry has wrist surgery, out 4-5 months
Carl Landry will miss 4-5 months after having right wrist surgery to repair a torn ligament on Tuesday.

Advice: Landry missed five games in January due to soreness in his wrist, but the extent of the injury wasn't revealed until he had a postseason MRI. He's struggled to stay healthy since inking a hefty contract with the Kings, who still owe him a guaranteed $13 million over the next two seasons. His status for training camp is uncertain, meaning Jason Thompson (and possibly Derrick Williams) may have less competition during the season's early stages. Rotoworld.com

  • Speights (calf) will be available for Game 1
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that Marreese Speights (calf) is "ready to go" for Game 1 of the Finals.

Advice: Speights has been sidelined since the Warriors' second-round series against the Grizzlies, but he'll be back in action for the Finals. However, he'll have a very limited role with the Dubs, maxing out at around 12 minutes per game, which isn't enough time to put up any meaningful fantasy value. He'll provide Golden State with some depth, but he's not a fantasy option in most formats. Rotoworld.com

  • Gallinari to play for Italian National Team
Danilo Gallinari confirmed that he will play for the Italian National Team this summer.

Advice: This is good news as Gallinari is using a full summer of being healthy to keep in shape and work on his game against international competition. The 26-year-old is coming off a solid finish to the 2014-15 season during which he averaged 18.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 2.8 three-pointers after the All-Star Break and should be a sneaky late-round pick in 2015-16 fantasy drafts. • Nick Young proposes to Iggy Azalea
Nick Young proposed to girlfriend Iggy Azalea on Monday and she said yes.

Advice: No word yet on if she'll be changing her name to Swaggy Azalea, but Young recorded his proposal and the video can be found in the link below. While Young may have wedding bells on his mind, Lakers head coach Byron Scott has already said he'll need to see improvements from Young in order to give him minutes so fantasy owners may want to shy away from Swaggy P on draft day. • Carmelo Anthony looking to buy soccer team
Carmelo Anthony is reportedly interested in buying a soccer team.

Advice: FC Melo? Anthony is currently in Cuba with the Cosmos of the NASL as they play the Cuban National Team and looks to have caught futbol fever. Melo is reportedly in talks with the North American Soccer League and is looking for an ownership role in a Puerto Rican club. Soccer aside, the 31-year-old had previously said he's ahead of schedule in his recovery from knee surgery and it looks like fantasy owners won't have to worry about any of his rehab overlapping with training camp. • Andrei Kirilienko is retiring from hoops
Andrei Kirilenko will retire from professional basketball.

Advice: AK-47 had a good run, but all his bouts with back spasms cut his career a little short. He was a first-round value in fantasy hoops about a decade ago thanks to two years in a row with over three blocks per game in 2004-05 and 2005-06. He'll go down as one of the better international players ever. Rotoworld.com

  • Cartier Martin exercises option with Pistons
Cartier Martin has exercised his $1.3 million option with the Pistons for next season.

Advice: It was a fairly easy decision for Martin, who played in just 23 games last season. Martin won't be in the rotation next season. Rotoworld.com

  • Marreese Speights (calf) 'not too far off'
Marreese Speights (calf) is "not too far off" from being able to practice.

Advice: Speights has been out since the Western Conference semis, and while his role is up in the air at this stage, Steve Kerr won't complain about having more options as his team prepares for the NBA Finals. Rotoworld.com

  • Otto Porter building confidence for next year
Otto Porter admitted that it "meant a lot to be a part of something like that" when asked about the Wizards' playoff run.

Advice: Porter emerged as a key piece for Washington in the playoffs, and Porter, who turns 22 on Wednesday, needed that breakout in the worst way. Capable of playing both forward spots, Porter should have a larger role next season, and that will be even bigger if Paul Pierce (player option) departs in free agency. After drawing praise from Randy Wittman and his teammates, Porter should be entering the offseason with confidence. Rotoworld.com

  • Motiejunas (back) expected out for Lithuania
Donatas Motiejunas (back surgery) is not expected to play for the Lithuanian National team this summer.

Advice: Motiejunas is slowly ramping up his rehab but may be out until early August according to a timetable provided earlier this month. He reiterated that he'll be ready for Houston's training camp, where he'll battle Terrence Jones (and possibly Josh Smith) for minutes at the PF position. Rotoworld.com

  • Julius Randle believes he is 100 percent
Julius Randle believes that his leg is 100 percent and said that his surgically-repaired foot is no longer a factor in his recovery.

Advice: "I believe I am," Randle said when asked if he was 100 percent. "The last time I checked probably about a month ago, the bone was 95 percent healed. I feel great." The news just keeps getting better for Randle, and it should also be noted that he was recently cleared for half court 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 sessions with full contact. All signs point to him being ready to play at the Las Vegas Summer League, and there is no reason why he couldn't carve out a sizable role on the Lakers next season if he has a strong showing. • Brandon Bass hoping to remain a Celtic
Brandon Bass, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, said that he is open to returning to the Celtics next season.

Advice: "It’s been a great time for me," Bass said regarding his time with Boston. "And a great learning experience for me as well. I’ve been happy here. My family has been happy here, so we’ll see what happens. I think it’s hard not to think about [free agency], but not too much. I’ve been watching the playoffs and I know it’s not that time yet." Bass averaged 10.6 points, 4.9 boards and 1.3 assists during the regular season, but he struggled mightily in the playoffs and later said that he wasn't mentally prepared. The Celtics will reload during the draft and free agency this summer, so Bass will likely be wearing a different uniform in the 2015-16 campaign. Rotoworld.com

  • Kostas Papanikolaou hopes to stay in NBA
Kostas Papanikolaou is hopeful that he will be able to play in the NBA next season.

Advice: Houston holds a $4.8 million player option on him for next season, but it doesn't seem likely that they would retain him for that price. Papanikolaou made just four appearances after the All-Star break due to a nagging ankle injury and wasn't able to get back into the rotation after Josh Smith arrived, so it looks like his time in Houston could be nearing an end. Papanikolaou will listen to all offers if Houston declines his option, but returning to Europe isn't on his mind just yet. Rotoworld.com

  • Donatas Motiejunas still in recovery
Donatas Motiejunas (back) is still in the beginning stages of his recovery.

Advice: He is expected to be out for most of the summer. Motiejunas had back surgery on Apr. 10 and he said there's "no question" he'll be ready for camp. His improvement could make it a little tougher for the Rockets to bring back Josh Smith. Rotoworld.com

  • Julius Randle (leg) cleared for full contact
Julius Randle (leg) has been cleared for full contact half court 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 sessions.

Advice: Randle's next step will be going through 4-on-4 drills, but he continues to move in a positive direction, and at this rate he should be good to go for Las Vegas Summer League. The Lakers have a lot of decisions to make this offseason with regards to the roster, but depending on how things shake out, Randle may have the opportunity to step into a starting role next season. As always, will continue to track his progress closely this offseason. Rotoworld.com

  • Marreese Speights (calf) still out, progressing
Marreese Speights (calf) will not play against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Advice: He is doing some on-court work and is progressing. Speights has essentially been ruled out for the Western Conference Finals, but he could be ready to face the Cavs. Rotoworld.com

  • Marreese Speights doing some running
Marreese Speights (right calf) advanced to running the stairs on Monday.

Advice: He's still out for Game 4, but could get back to court work in the next day or two. Speights could be ready for the NBA Finals, but obviously the Warriors may not need him. Festus Ezeli has really stepped up for the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals. Rotoworld.com

  • Marreese Speights (calf) ruled out for Game 4
Marreese Speights (calf) is making progress, but he will not play in Game 4 against the Rockets on Monday.

Advice: David Lee was initially the one getting the minutes with Speights sidelined, but he's nearly fallen out of the rotation entirely during the Houston series. Festus Ezeli has earned himself a nice role off the bench in the Conference Finals, but with averages of just 6.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.0 block over 13.6 minutes of action, he's not much of an asset in fantasy basketball. Speights is unlikely to be a factor the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com

  • Julius Randle continues to show improvement
Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said that it looks like Julius Randle (leg) "has recovered completely".

Advice: This is definitely exciting news for Randle, and it appears that his recovery is going very smoothly. All signs point to him playing during the Las Vegas Summer League, and it will be interesting to see how he does after such a long time on the shelf. Randle could potentially be the starting power forward next season if he impresses this summer, so we will be sure to track his progress very closely. Rotoworld.com
