    • Jalen Brunson (foot) active Friday vs. Pacers
Jalen Brunson (right foot soreness) has been upgraded from questionable to active for Friday’s Knicks-Pacers game.

Advice: Brunson had an injury scare in Game 2 before returning to action and appears to be healthy enough to play again ahead of the weekend. It’s unclear whether he’ll handle his usual heavy workload, but some reserve guards could be asked to step up while OG Anunoby is out. Rotoworld Friday, 12:48 pm
    • Jalen Brunson (foot) questionable Friday
Jalen Brunson (right foot soreness) is listed as questionable for Game 3 of the Knicks-Pacers series.

Advice: Brunson logged 29 points in 32 minutes after suffering a foot injury in Game 2 and his Game 3 status is up in the air. He logged 38 or more minutes in every game until his last outing. Miles McBride will be asked to step up if Brunson can’t go on Friday. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:06 pm
    • Deemed questionable for Game 3
Brunson is listed as questionable for Friday's Game 3 against the Pacers due to right foot soreness.

Advice: Brunson injured his foot during Game 2 but was able to finish out the contest with 29 points, five assists, two rebounds and three steals in 32 minutes. If Brunson is unable to play Friday, Miles McBride, Shake Milton and Alec Burks would all be candidates to receive significant increases in playing time. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:36 pm
    • T.J. McConnell tallies 10 points, 12 assists
T.J. McConnell played 23 minutes in Wednesday’s Game 2 loss to the Knicks, scoring 10 points (5-of-9 FGs) with four rebounds and 12 assists.

Advice: McConnell has played well in the first two games of this series, but that hasn’t been enough to convince Pacers coach Rick Carlisle to leave him on the court in crunch time. While the veteran point guard did the best job of making Jalen Brunson work for his scoring opportunities, starter Andrew Nembhard closed the game. While Nembhard (15 points, four assists, and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes) is more of a threat offensively, he has not been as effective defending Brunson in crunch time. While their places in the rotation may not change for Game 3 on Friday, don’t be surprised if McConnell’s minutes increase, as the Pacers can’t afford to fall into a 0-3 hole. • Donte DiVincenzo hits six 3-pointers, scores 28
Donte DiVincenzo accounted for 28 points (10-of-20 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, four assists, one steal, and six 3-pointers in 43 minutes in Wednesday’s 130-121 win over the Pacers.

Advice: The Knicks held serve at home in the first two games, and DiVincenzo’s improved play is one reason. The “Big Ragu” has been on a bit of a heater, with his run of three straight games of 23 points or more beginning with the Game 6 win over Philadelphia. In the first two games against the Pacers, DiVincenzo has scored 53 points on 20-of-37 shooting from the field (11-of-21 from three). Indiana doesn’t defend as well as Philadelphia, especially on the wings, and the Knicks have taken advantage. DiVincenzo will look to keep his run going in Game 3 on Friday. • Jalen Brunson (foot) returns, scores 29 points
Jalen Brunson (sore right foot) shot 11-of-18 from the field and 4-of-6 from the foul line in Wednesday’s 130-121 win over the Pacers, tallying 29 points, two rebounds, five assists, three steals, and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: Brunson endured an injury scare during the first half of Game 2, exiting with 3:32 remaining in the first quarter. An apparent sore foot kept him in the locker room through halftime, but the Knicks point guard returned for the start of the third quarter. And it’s a good thing he did, as Brunson took over in the second half to lead the Knicks in scoring again. While his streak of 40-point games concludes, the Knicks taking a 2-0 series lead to Indianapolis is more important. Also, the Knicks are 6-1 in “clutch games” (games with a margin of five points or less with five minutes remaining) this postseason. Brunson said he’ll try to be available for Game 3 on Friday, so consider him questionable. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:39 pm
    • Returns for second half
Brunson (foot) has returned for the second half of Wednesday's Game 2 matchup with the Pacers, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Brunson tweaked his foot during the first half and took an early trip to the locker room, but he started the second half for New York. However, the injury is clearly hampering him, as he's sporting a bit of a limp and struggling to guard his position on defense. It'll be interesting to see how he finishes the game. • T.J. McConnell chips in with 18 off the bench
T.J. McConnell shot 9-of-16 from the field in Monday’s 121-117 loss to the Knicks, scoring 18 points with one rebound, three assists, and three steals in 22 minutes.

Advice: With Tyrese Haliburton struggling in Monday’s series opener, McConnell stepped up to lead a bench unit that combined to score 46 points. The veteran point guard scored 20 points in Indiana’s Game 6 win over Milwaukee, so his ability to punish the Knicks is unsurprising. Also reaching double figures off the bench was former Knick Obi Toppin, who tallied 12 points, six rebounds, three assists, one block, and two 3-pointers in 19 minutes. Add Isaiah Jackson (8/5/1/0/3) and Ben Sheppard (8/2/2 with two 3-pointers), and the Pacers’ reserves played well enough to win Game 1. Unfortunately for them, the combination of New York’s Villanova trio and a few controversial calls was too much to overcome. Rotoworld Monday, 7:55 pm
    • Leader from deep in 25-point Game 1
DiVincenzo notched 25 points (10-17 FG, 5-9 3Pt), three rebounds, two blocks and one assist over 44 minutes in Monday's 121-117 win over Indiana in Game 1 of the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: DiVincenzo put on a show from deep in Monday's victory, leading all players in the game in threes made while ending as one of three Knicks with 20 or more points. DiVincenzo, who also recorded a team-high pair of blocks, posted his highest point total of the postseason and has tallied 20 or more points in two straight outings. DiVincenzo has found success from deep of late, connecting on five threes in back-to-back games. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:46 pm
