    • Luka Doncic (chest) probable for Game 3 Wednesday
Luka Doncic (thoracic contusion) is probable for Wednesday’s game against the Celtics.

Advice: Doncic is back on the Mavericks’ injury report, but two previously listed injuries were removed by the team. The left ankle soreness and right knee sprain are gone, with the thoracic contusion remaining. Either way, look for Doncic to play at least 40 minutes as the Mavericks aim to cut the Celtics’ 2-0 series lead in half. Rotoworld Tuesday, 2:44 pm
    • Probable ahead of Game 3
Doncic (chest) is probable for Game 3 of the NBA Finals versus the Celtics on Wednesday but said Tuesday during media availability that he "feels good" ahead of Game 3, Jay King of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Doncic has been a mainstay on the injury report but has not missed a postseason game yet, averaging 29.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.8 steals across 19 playoff games. The All-Star has dealt with a right knee sprain, left ankle soreness, and most recently, a thoracic contusion that required a pain-killing injection before Game 2. Doncic was stellar in Sunday's 105-98 Game 2 loss to Boston, racking up 32 points (12-21 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-8 FT), 11 rebounds, 11 assists and four steals across 42 minutes. The 25-year-old will look to lead the Mavericks to their first win of the series in Dallas after dropping the first two games on the road. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:32 pm
    • Goes for 26-point double-double
Holiday logged 26 points (11-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal across 41 minutes during Sunday's 105-98 win over the Mavericks in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Advice: Jayson Tatum had a rough showing from the field, so Holiday stepped up offensively and led the Celtics in scoring while also recording solid contributions in other categories, most notably grabbing a playoff-high mark in rebounds. Holiday has surpassed the 20-point mark in just two of his last six playoff appearances, but he compensates for that lack of scoring production with solid contributions in other categories and elite defense. • Jrue Holiday shines in Game 2 win, scores 26 PTS
Jrue Holiday shot 11-of-14 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Sunday’s 105-98 win over Dallas, tallying 26 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block, and two 3-pointers in 41 minutes.

Advice: With Jayson Tatum struggling from the field, the Celtics needed someone to step up in Game 2. Holiday was that man, as he led the Eastern Conference champions with 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field. This was his first 20-point effort since Game 1 of the conference finals and second of the postseason overall. Also, Holiday recorded his first double-double of these playoffs and a full stat line. As a result, he and the Celtics will head to Dallas with a 2-0 series lead, with Game 3 set for Wednesday night. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:36 pm
    • Well-rounded two-way effort
Holiday accumulated 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Thursday's 107-89 victory over Dallas in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Advice: In addition to Holiday's solid stats, which included zero turnovers, he was a team-high plus-20. Not only that, but no Mavericks player registered a field-goal attempt while Holiday was the primary defender. While Holiday is expected to play a smaller offensive role than the last time he was in the NBA Finals with the Bucks, he will remain one of the most impactful defenders in this series.
