    • Shams: Zion Williamson likely out for first round
Zion Williamson (left hamstring) could return if New Orleans makes it out of the first round, per Shams Charania.

Advice: If Williamson plays during this postseason, it will require the Pelicans to make it out of the first round. They’re currently down 0-2 to the top-seeded Thunder and lost by 32 points on Wednesday. Anything can happen in the playoffs, but it seems like Zion’s next game will be their season opener in October. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:39 am
    • Efficient despite loss in Game 2
Jones chipped in 18 points (6-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 124-92 loss to the Thunder in Game 2 of the Western Conference first round.

Advice: Jones posted his best performance of the current postseason run, but his efforts were not enough as the Pelicans suffered a 32-point loss and now face an 0-2 deficit in the first-round series. Jones has scored in double digits in just four of his 12 appearances this month, and this 18-point output tied his best scoring mark since posting a 19-point effort against Miami on Feb. 23, so he's not expected to carry the Pelicans on offense in Game 3 on Saturday. • Leads all scorers Tuesday
Doncic chipped in 32 points (11-26 FG, 5-14 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal over 46 minutes during Tuesday's 96-93 win over the Clippers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: Doncic carried Dallas to victory Tuesday despite struggling from the field. In a low-scoring affair, Doncic hit several crucial buckets down the stretch, much like he has done all season. They will now return home for what will be a pivotal Game 3. Look for Doncic to put on a show in front of his home fans. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:14 am
    • Luka Doncic scores game-high 32 points in Game 2
Luka Doncic shot 11-of-26 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 96-93 win over the Clippers, accounting for 32 points, six rebounds, nine assists, one steal, one block, and five 3-pointers in 46 minutes.

Advice: After going 0-8 during the regular season in games where they scored fewer than 100 points, the Mavericks picked up a much-needed victory to even the series at one game apiece. Doncic put on a show, surpassing the 30-point mark for a second straight game. However, while the Game 1 production felt like “empty calories” due to the Mavericks coming out slowly and getting blown out, there was no such issue for Doncic on Tuesday. As a result, the series is tied headed to Dallas for Game 3 on Friday. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:05 pm
    • Hopeful to return in postseason
Williamson (hamstring), who will be re-evaluated in one week, said Tuesday it is "realistic" he returns in the postseason, Andrew Lopez of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Williamson exited the Pelicans' first Play-In Tournament game against the Lakers with a hamstring strain and has not played since. However, Williamson says he is hopeful to eventually make his postseason return, which would likely require a second-round matchup. Despite not having Williamson available for Game 1 against the top-seeded Thunder, the Pelicans kept it close, losing 94-92. How quickly the medical staff clears him may depend on how the remainder of the series plays out. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:54 pm
    • Goes for 21 points in Game 1 loss
Murphy notched 21 points (8-18 FG, 5-12 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal across 44 minutes during Sunday's 94-92 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: Murphy extended his streak of games scoring in double figures to 14 appearances (12 starts), and he ended up as New Orleans' leading scorer in this Game 1 loss while carrying the team at times in the second and third quarters. Murphy can get hot in any moment of a game, but even if that doesn't happen, he sees enough touches to make a consistent impact on offense. Expect Murphy to remain in the first unit -- while experiencing a slight uptick in his usage rate -- as long as Zion Williamson (hamstring) remains out. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:19 am
    • Trey Murphy hits five triples, scores 21 points
Trey Murphy logged 44 minutes in Sunday’s Game 1 loss to the Thunder, posting a line of 21 points (8-of-18 FGs), four rebounds, two assists, one steal, three blocks, and five 3-pointers.

Advice: Once again starting for the injured Zion Williamson (hamstring), Murphy was excellent on both ends of the floor in Game 1. The third-year wing made some timely baskets as the Pelicans mounted a rally that fell two points short while racking up four “stocks.” Offseason knee surgery derailed Murphy’s progress early in the season, but he has played solid basketball recently, outside of the Pelicans’ regular-season finale against the Lakers. With Oklahoma City devoting much of their defensive attention to CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram, Murphy and Herb Jones won’t lack opportunities to score. Jones struggled in Game 1, shooting 2-of-10 from the field and finishing with eight points, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:42 pm
    • Top scorer in double-double outing
Doncic had 33 points (11-26 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 13 rebounds, six assists and one steal in 42 minutes during Sunday's 109-97 loss to the Clippers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

Advice: Doncic didn't show any signs of rust in Sunday's Game 1 of the playoffs after sitting the final two games of the regular season, leading all players in scoring while leading the Mavericks in threes made, rebounds and assists in a double-double effort. Doncic posted at least 30 points and 13 rebounds in four games during the regular season, posting north of 25 points in 10 straight outings to round out the year. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:33 pm
    • Luka Doncic posts double-double vs. Clippers
Luka Doncic scored a game-high 33 points (11-of-26 FGs and 7-of-8 from the free throw line) to go along with 13 rebounds, six assists, and a steal. He sank four 3-pointers.

Advice: Doncic struggled to score early on but picked things up when the Mavericks made a second-half run. His team’s shooting woes impacted his assist numbers against the Kawhi Leonard-less Clippers, but he was the most productive player on the court. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:20 pm
