    • Struggles in return
Hardaway posted two points (1-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt) and two rebounds over 17 minutes during Tuesday's 117-95 loss to Oklahoma City in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Hardaway returned to action following a four-game absence as a result of an ankle injury. While he does, in theory, provide Dallas with another scoring option off the bench, that was not the case here. If they are to trouble the Thunder, Hardaway is going to need to be more of a reliable threat. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:30 pm
    • Evan Mobley puts up 17/13 double-double in loss
Evan Mobley recorded a double-double on Tuesday with 17 points (8-of-12 FGs), 13 rebounds, three assists and one block in Game 1 against Boston.

Advice: Mobley didn’t have a great series offensively against the Magic, but he was able to tie his highest-scoring game from the first round on Tuesday. Most of that came in the second half, as he scored 15 of his 19 after the break, including 10 points in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately, his efforts weren’t enough to close the gap in the scoreboard. Mobley will continue to start at center until Jarrett Allen (ribs) returns to the lineup, and while he has shown flashes this postseason, the overall result of Mobley as the only big has been underwhelming. • Jarrett Allen (ribs) out Tuesday vs. Celtics
Jarrett Allen (right rib contusion) has been ruled out for Tuesday’s Cavaliers-Celtics matchup

Advice: Allen is set to miss a third consecutive contest after suffering a rib injury against Orlando in the first round. Evan Mobley will play more minutes at center while Isaac Okoro, Marcus Morris, and Tristan Thomson get a shot to be a larger part of the frontcourt rotation. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:41 pm
    • Won't play Tuesday
Allen (ribs) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Celtics, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Advice: Allen will miss his fourth straight contest Tuesday after being downgraded from questionable to out due to a right rib contusion. Isaac Okoro will continue to start in his absence. Allen's next chance to suit up is Game 2 on Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:31 pm
    • Efficient in Game 2 victory
Edwards notched 27 points (11-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-7 FT), two rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Monday's 106-80 win over the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Edwards didn't repeat the 43-point performance from Game 1, but he was highly efficient in this one and played a prominent role in the victory while also ending just three assists away from a double-double. Edwards has been almost unstoppable since the start of the playoffs and is averaging 32.3 points per game while keeping the Timberwolves undefeated through six postseason contests so far. • Anthony Edwards tallies 27 points, seven assists
Anthony Edwards shot 11-of-17 from the field and 4-of-7 from the foul line in Monday’s Game 2 win over the Nuggets, accumulating 27 points, two rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

Advice: The Timberwolves were without Rudy Gobert on Monday, as he was back in Minnesota for the birth of his first child. And it didn’t matter because Denver still had no answer for Edwards. Ant-Man tied for the team lead in scoring, shooting well over 50% from the field. If there was an issue for him, it was the turnovers, with the star guard racking up four, but to cite that would be to split hairs. Denver has three days to figure out their approach to defending Edwards, with Game 3 scheduled for Friday night. Rotoworld Monday, 9:34 pm
    • Brings home ROY honors
Wembanyama (ankle) was named the 2023-24 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Wembanyama was the clear favorite for this year's Rookie of the Year honors, averaging 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.6 blocks in 29.7 minutes per appearance over 71 games during his first NBA campaign. It's also worth noting that the 7-foot-4 center is one of three finalists for the 2023-24 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award, which speaks to the monumental impact he had on both ends of the court this season for the Spurs. • Shocker: Victor Wembanyama wins Rookie of the Year
Victor Wembanyama has been named the 2023-24 NBA Rookie of the Year.

Advice: While there was some suspense earlier in the season while Wembanyama was dealing with an ankle injury, the Spurs sensation took the league by storm once healthy and not playing under any restrictions. Wemby became the first player in NBA history to amass at least 1,500 points, 700 rebounds, 250 assists, 250 blocks, and 100 3-pointers. He became the first unanimous winner of the award since Karl-Anthony Towns in 2016, with Oklahoma City’s Chet Holmgren finishing second. Rounding out the top five were Brandon Miller (Charlotte), Jaime Jaquez Jr. (Miami), and Brandin Podziemski (Golden State). Wembanyama is also the first player from France to win the award. • Jarrett Allen (ribs) questionable for Game 1
Jarrett Allen (right rib contusion) is questionable to play in Game 1 against Boston on Tuesday.

Advice: Allen missed the final three games of round one, with Isaac Okoro starting twice and Marcus Morris starting once. Okoro started Game 7, so he should start again if Allen is forced to miss the start of this series. Rotoworld Monday, 2:38 pm
