    • Marcus Smart poised for increase in PT
Marcus Smart (Achilles) is poised for an increase in playing time.

Advice: He is still a major project as a scorer. Smart has made just 27.9 percent of his jumpers overall and 33.3 percent of any shot off the dribble, so both of those are going to have to come up. Unlike Rajon Rondo, Smart can potentially make a triple per game and he's not going to shoot 33.3 percent from the line, so he has decent upside with his dimes and terrific output in steals. He's worth owning in standard leagues to see how it plays out. Rotoworld.com

    • Andrew Bogut (knee) may be out until January?
Andrew Bogut's agent David Bauman speculated that Bogut might be able to return "sometime in January."

Advice: "I’m not going to say two, three, four weeks, but that’s probably a reasonable assumption if all goes well, and then he’ll return sometime in January," said Bauman. Bogut will likely be re-evaluated in about a week to see how his knee is responding to treatment, after which the team will decide whether to keep resting him or to undergo another round of PRP injections. Marreese Speights and Draymond Green will help fill the void with Bogut on the sidelines. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson (ankle) will not play on Thursday
Taj Gibson (ankle) will not play against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: The Bulls should not need him tonight. Gibson suffered a new injury to his ankle this week, so this is not soreness. Gibson did go through warmups and he's usually pretty tough, so he should be considered a littler closer to probable for Friday. Nikola Mirotic will pick up some extra playing time. Rotoworld.com

    • Travis Wear getting his first start
Travis Wear is getting his first start of his career on Thursday against the Bulls.

Advice: Coach Derek Fisher said he was considering starting Wear exactly one month ago, so here we are. Wear is actually decent off the dribble with 38 percent of his shots coming off pull-ups, so moving him into Melo's spot in the starting lineup makes some sense. He's probably not going to get big minutes or get a lot of shots, but he could score in double-digits tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson (ankle) a game-time decision Thurs
Taj Gibson (ankle) will warm up and see how he feels before deciding his status for Thursday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: If Gibson is unable to play, Nikola Mirotic will soak up his minutes, although he's been struggling lately so he's a risky option in daily leagues. Joakim Noah will get all the minutes he can handle if Gibson can't go. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Sergey Karasev (oblique) questionable Friday
Sergey Karasev (oblique) is being listed as questionable for Friday's game vs. Cleveland.

Advice: Alan Anderson started the last game that Karasev was sidelined, and would likely draw another start on Friday if he's unable to go. Bojan Bogdanovic would also see increased minutes, but neither Bojan nor Anderson can be considered viable options in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Andrew Bogut (knee) w/out timetable to return
Andrew Bogut (knee) had a platelet-rich plasma treatment on Wednesday, and there is currently no timetable set for his return.

Advice: Bogut said recently that he felt his knee was "giving out," and news just keeps getting worse for the oft-injured big man. He will not suit up for Thursday's game vs. OKC, and he should be considered doubtful for Monday's game against Sacramento. Draymond Green and Marreese Speights will be the primary beneficiaries with Bogut sidelined, and we'll be monitoring his status closely. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Joel Embiid shooting free throws on Thursday
Joel Embiid (foot) was seen shooting free throws at Thursday's practice.

Advice: Embiid has been present at Sixers' practice for the last two weeks and has been allowed to shoot free throws and standstill shots. He still has several steps to go in his rehab from offseason foot surgery, however, and isn't expected to play in 2014-15, so he only belongs on dynasty league fantasy rosters right now. • Marcus Smart expected to practice Thursday
Marcus Smart (Achilles) is expected to practice on Thursday and is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Timberwolves.

Advice: Smart had to leave Tuesday's practice after aggravating his Achilles injury, but looks to be on the mend due to his practice status. While the rookie has had a rough start to the 2014-15 season, he's worth a flier for fantasy owners who have an open roster spot as trade rumors surrounding Rajon Rondo are picking up steam. • Moe Harkless seeing increased role with Magic
Moe Harkless has earned an increased role with the Magic, according to head coach Jacque Vaughn.

Advice: After five consecutive DNP-CD's, Harkless has seen an average of 12.5 minutes over the Magic's last two games and it's something he and Vaughn have had conversations about. Speaking of those conversations, Vaughn said they were, "geared towards accepting your responsibility of your profession. This is what you signed up for, and there's no guarantee there's minutes for you. You earn those minutes." While Harkless may be earning more minutes, his production of 3.0 points and 1.5 rebounds in those two games should keep him on fantasy waiver wires. Rotoworld.com

    • Danilo Gallinari has a great game vs. HOU
Danilo Gallinari returned from a three-game absence on Wednesday during a loss to the Rockets, playing 26 minutes with 16 points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers.

Advice: It was one of his best showings of the season and he shot the ball with a lot of confidence. Gallinari's knee has flared up on him multiple times and he was only playing 13.8 minutes per game in his four games before the rest, so fantasy owners in standard leagues shouldn't consider him "back" yet. Plus, he's not looking to shoot nearly as much as he has in his career. Rotoworld.com

    • Canaan makes his return to the lineup
Isaiah Canaan returned to action on Wednesday and played seven minutes and did not score.

Advice: He's only going to be used to spell Patrick Beverley. Canaan is not going to be worth owning in almost all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Thomas Robinson explodes for 15 and 16
Thomas Robinson excelled in his first start of the season on Wednesday during a win over the Bucks, scoring 15 points with 16 boards, one steal, one block and four turnovers in 29 minutes.

Advice: The Bucks did a Hack-A-Rob strategy late in the game, so he only made 5-of-15 from the line. Robinson had a couple bright spots last season while the Blazers were missing LaMarcus Aldridge, but he had a number of disappearing acts, too. Coach Terry Stotts said he's going to be mixing up his lineups, so this is not the new norm for Robinson. We'll need to see it again before signing off on him as a pickup in standard leagues. • Jared Dudley scores three points in start
Jared Dudley scored three points in 27 minutes during a start against the Blazers on Wednesday, adding two rebounds, five assists and one steal.

Advice: He committed four fouls and wasn't as involved in the offense nearly as much. Dudley's usage rate is extremely low, so he's not going to be asked to score much. His assists are fairly high for a guy with his role, but it's still not enough to move the needle enough to grab him in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Amir Johnson nearly double-doubles in win
Amir Johnson played 31 minutes and had 13 points, nine rebounds and a block on 5-of-8 shooting on Wednesday.

Advice: He hit just 3-of-6 free throws, but this was a much better line than we've seen from him lately. He's usually outplayed by Patrick Patterson, but that wasn't the case tonight. Pat-Pat had 13 points and three 3-pointers, but just two rebounds, and it's possible that Johnson could finally be ready to start playing. Keep a close eye on this timeshare in the next one. • Zach Randolph goes for 21 and 21 in win
Zach Randolph scored 21 points with 21 rebounds, one assist and two steals against the Spurs on Wednesday.

Advice: That's five consecutive double-doubles for Z-Bo, averaging 19.8 points, 13.2 boards, 1.0 steals and 2.0 turnovers in that span. Randolph is starting to get it going on offense and it's safe to say his slow start is behind him, making 53 percent from the field over his last 11. His fantasy owners can go back to penciling him in for a double-double most nights. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwyane Wade scores season-high 42 in loss
Dwyane Wade hit 12-of-19 shots for a season-high 42 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's loss to the Jazz.

Advice: The bad news is he hit just 16-of-21 free throws and committed six turnovers, but the fact he played so well in a pair of back-to-backs (while battling an illness tonight) speaks volumes. The Heat are off until Friday, so hopefully Wade is able to get some rest and will be ready to go. He had 28 on Tuesday against the Nets. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Andersen goes for 6 & 9 in start
Chris Andersen started at power forward on Wednesday and had six points, nine rebounds and a steal in 26 minutes.

Advice: He didn't block a shot, but with Chris Bosh out and Josh McRoberts' season likely over, deserves a watchful eye from deep-leaguers, especially if he continues to start. Rotoworld.com

    • Stotts pulls a Stotts: Thomas Robinson starts
Thomas Robinson will start in place of Robin Lopez on Wednesday.

Advice: Coach Terry Stotts said he is going to mix up his lineups, so T-Rob is not likely going to draw all of the starts. Joel Freeland is expected to get some starts here and there, so keep an eye on him, as well. Chris Kaman should also get a handful of extra minutes and is the best pickup for owners needing a big man. Rotoworld.com

    • Andrew Bogut (knee) has PRP treatment
Andrew Bogut (knee) had platelet-rich plasma treatment on Wednesday and will have another treatment in one week.

Advice: Players can return from PRP somewhat quickly, so this news doesn't necessarily mean Bogut is out for a week. He is out Thursday against the Thunder and should be considered doubtful for the weekend. Marreese Speights and Draymond Green will do most of the heavy lifting up front. Rotoworld.com

    • Isaiah Canaan is expected to play vs. DEN
Isaiah Canaan (ankle) is expected to play against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Advice: He should get some playing time with Jason Terry (personal) out tonight. Canaan is still not going to get major minutes while Pat Beverley is around, so he can be left on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 6:05 pm
    • Jared Dudley starting in place of Parker
Jared Dudley will start in place of Jabari Parker on Wednesday.

Advice: He replaced Jabari when the injury happened, so this move is not a surprise. Dudley also played 20 minutes in the second half on Monday, so he should see a nice increase in playing time. He's worth a look in standard leagues, but there's no need to be too aggressive. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 5:38 pm
    • Bird Call: Chris Andersen starting vs. Jazz
Chris Andersen will start at center in place of Udonis Haslem.

Advice: The move could stick with the Heat desperate up front. Andersen is an option as a deep-league specialist, but he is not going to have enough value in standard leagues. Luol Deng has actually been playing some power forward while Shawne Williams has struggled quite a bit. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 3:50 pm
    • Andrew Bogut is out again on Thursday
Andrew Bogut (knee) will not play against the Thunder on Thursday.

Advice: He has runner's knee and the Warriors will likely take it easy on him. Bogut has been hurt for much of his career and they're certainly going to want him healthy for the playoffs. He's still worth owning in standard leagues. Marreese Speights gets a bump while Festus Ezeli starts again. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwyane Wade (illness) will play on Wednesday
Dwyane Wade (illness) will play against the Jazz on Wednesday.

Advice: He was very ill on Tuesday and reportedly feels better heading into tonight. Wade played well through the illness, scoring 28 points in a win over the Nets. With Chris Bosh out, he's going to be very busy and should be in all lineups. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 2:52 pm
    • Marcus Smart (Achilles) out on Wednesday
Marcus Smart (Achilles) will not play on Wednesday vs. the Magic.

Advice: He pulled himself out of practice on Tuesday, so the writing was on the wall for this one. He has now missed 13 of the first 23 games this season, and can't seem to stay healthy. However, the injury is not thought to be serious, and the trade rumors about Rajon Rondo are intensifying, so Smart makes a lot of sense as a stash in deeper leagues. In the meantime, Evan Turner will see some increased minutes for the Celtics. Rotoworld.com

Taj Gibson (right ankle) is listed as questionable to play against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: It's apparently a new injury for Taj, so he could wind up missing this game. Gibson was very active on the glass in the past few games without Joakim Noah, but he'll move to the bench on Thursday. He is still worth owning in standard leagues. If he's out, Nikola Mirotic will have an uptick in value. Rotoworld.com

    • Sergey Karasev (left oblique) out Wed
Sergey Karasev (left oblique) will not play in Wednesday's game vs. the Raptors.

Advice: He is dealing with a strained left oblique and it is unclear when he will return to action. He matched his career-high of 11 points before leaving the game Tuesday, and he had started to come alive in the starting lineup for the Nets. However, owners in deepr leagues can now look elsewhere with this news, and we can expect Bojan Bogdanovic and Alan Anderson to benefit the most. Rotoworld.com

    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) will play Wednesday
Danilo Gallinari (knee) will play on Wednesday vs. Houston.

Advice: The Italian has been a ghost of the player he used to be this season, and has really struggled with his knee. Wilson Chandler is locked in as the starting small forward for the Nuggets, and unless he is traded there is not a lot of playing time available. Until Gallinari strings together a few good games and stays active, he won't be worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwyane Wade leads Heat with 28 points in win
Dwyane Wade led the Heat to a win over the Nets on Sunday, finishing with 28 points, five boards, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes.

Advice: He definitely made his owners nervous when he appeared to tweak his knee late in the game, but he stayed on the floor and was able to finish what was a great night for the Heat. Wade looked very active all night and looks determined to shoulder the load without Chris Bosh (calf) in the lineup. As you have learned by now, check back before Wednesday's game vs. the Jazz to see if Wade is active, as it wouldn't be out of the question for him to rest on the second night of a back-to-back set. • Zach Randolph drops 17 & 10 on Warriors
Zach Randolph had 17 points and 10 rebounds on 8-of-12 shooting in Tuesday's big win over the Warriors, which snapped their 16-game winning streak.

Advice: Randolph didn't do anything amazing tonight, but played well enough to help his team win, just as he's done all season. Mike Conley added a pedestrian 17 points, five assists and four steals on 6-of-18 shooting, but the Memphis D was too much for the streaking Dubs tonight. The Grizzlies now hold a record of 20-4, which is just one less win than the 21-3 Warriors. Rotoworld.com

    • Sergey Karasev (sore left side) won't return
Sergey Karasev (sore left side) will not return to Tuesday's game vs. the Heat, finishing with 11 points, three boards, three assists, one block and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

Advice: He was seen getting looked at on the sidelines before making his way back to the locker room, and it is unclear how severe the injury is. Karasev just recently moved into the starting lineup for the Nets, and has emerged as a decent option in deeper leagues. We should know more about his status shortly, but if he misses any time Bojan Bogdanovic and Alan Anderson will both benefit. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Andersen (back) briefly leaves game
Chris Andersen (back) briefly left Tuesday's game against the Nets.

    • Heat vs. Nets temporarily delayed due to leak
The Heat and Nets game was temporarily delayed due to a leak in the roof at the Barclays Center, but the game is now expected to resume.

Advice: In what was a bizarre series of events at the Barclays Center, it now appears that the leak in the roof has been resolved and both teams are back out on the court. There is no longer any need to worry about a cancellation and the game will go on. Rotoworld.com

    • Andrew Bogut (knee) to be re-evaluated Wed.
Andrew Bogut is dealing with Chondromalacia and a bone edema, and he will not suit up for Tuesday's game vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: Chondromalacia is basically runner's knee, and a bone edema causes swelling and fluid build-up. Bogut will be re-evaluated on Wednesday, and he's uncertain of his status going forward. He generally takes a bit longer to recover from injuries than your average player, so we'll be considering him on the doubtful side of questionable for Thursday's game vs. OKC. If there's anything positive here, it's that Bogut said surgery would not be required. If he's going to miss time, Marreese Speights is going to quickly become a popular pick up. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwyane Wade (illness) will play Tuesday
Dwyane Wade (illness) will play Tuesday vs. the Nets.

Advice: Wade will draw a very favorable matchup vs. the Nets tonight, and with Chris Bosh (calf) also sidelined, he's going to be asked to carry the offensive workload. He makes for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues, despite the fact that he is sick. Rotoworld.com

    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) will play Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Danilo Gallinari (knee) will return to the lineup for Wednesday's game vs. Houston.

    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) returns to practice

    • Marcus Smart (Achilles) doubtful Wednesday
Marcus Smart (Achilles) pulled himself out of Tuesday's practice, and is doubtful to face the Magic on Wednesday.

Advice: Smart is averaging a meager 5.9 points and 1.5 assists on the season, and he's not worth owning in standard leagues. Evan Turner will get some extra run if Smart isn't able to go, but his game doesn't translate very well to fantasy. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwyane Wade misses Tuesday shootaround
Dwyane Wade (illness) missed Tuesday's shootaround in advance of the Heat's game against the Nets.

Advice: With Shabazz Napier and Danny Granger both sick and Josh McRoberts (knee) and Chris Bosh (calf) out, the Heat may enter Tuesday's game with a short bench. We'll update Wade's status prior to game time, but Mario Chalmers and Luol Deng could be looking at huge minutes against the Nets. Rotoworld.com

    • Andrew Bogut out for Tuesday vs Grizzlies
Andrew Bogut (knee) will miss Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies.

Advice: Bogut had been upgraded from out to doubtful on Monday, but the Warriors have decided not to push his return. Festus Ezeli will likely get the start again on Tuesday, while Marreese Speights will be the biggest fantasy beneficiary in a revenge game against his former team. Rotoworld.com

    • Celtics hope Marcus Smart can return Weds
The Celtics are hopeful that Marcus Smart (achilles) will be able to return for Wednesday's game against the Magic.

Advice: Smart is still dealing with a left achilles strain that he suffered on Friday, but could be available to suit up for the injury-depleted Celtics on Wednesday. Smart could see some extra minutes upon his return with Marcus Thornton (calf) sidelined for two weeks, but he's better off left on waiver wires for now. Rotoworld.com

    • Jared Dudley plays 31 minutes as fill in
Jared Dudley replaced Jabari Parker (knee) after his knee injury on Monday, finishing with 10 points, two rebounds, five assists, two steals and three 3-pointers.

Advice: Coach Jason Kidd hasn't been playing Dudley too much with just 18.9 minutes per game on the season, but it's fair to think he'll get his playing time to around 26-28 minutes per game. He'll have a chance to make 1.5 treys per game, which puts him on the radar in standard leagues. Unless you hate the guy on the end of your bench, it's probably better to wait and see how things go on Wednesday against the Blazers. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson turns in a nice game in loss
Taj Gibson made 7-of-11 from the field for 15 points against the Hawks on Monday with 17 boards, one assist and two blocks.

Advice: He was very busy in the low post on both ends for the Bulls. Gibson is likely looking at another start with Joakim Noah (ankle) still on the mend. In his previous eight starts, he averaged 14.5 points, 7.6 boards, 1.6 blocks and 0.6 steals in 35.3 minutes. He's a must-start player until further notice. Rotoworld.com

Andrew Bogut (knee) has been upgraded to doubtful for Tuesday night against the Grizzlies.

Advice: It's a good sign that he's not out, but it would be a shock to see him out there. Bogut had his knee drained over the weekend and the Warriors will likely take it easy on him. Marreese Speight should get more looks while Festus Ezeli will start. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 2:35 pm
    • Isaiah Canaan (ankle) could be back Wed.
Isaiah Canaan (ankle) is expected to play on Wednesday.

Advice: The Rockets are not really going to need him now that Pat Beverley is back. Canaan was nice as a fill-in for the Rockets, but he's not going to be a great fantasy option while Beverley is out there. He might take some minutes away from Jason Terry, though. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 12:00 pm
    • Andrew Bogut will not play on Tuesday
Andrew Bogut (knee) will not play on Tuesday against the Grizzlies.

Advice: He had his knee drained over the weekend, so that suggests he's going to miss some time. Festus Ezeli will get the starts, but Marreese Speights and Draymond Green will benefit the most. Bogut should be benched in weekly leagues with two games. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 11:30 am
    • Dwyane Wade (sick) questionable for Nets game
Dwyane Wade (illness) missed practice on Monday and is questionable to play against the Nets on Tuesday.

Advice: The good news is that he did travel with the team. Players are missing games due to illnesses all over the place, but Miami is really going to need Wade with all of their injuries. Miami does play four games this week, so owners in weekly leagues can still probably plug him in there. If he's out, Mario Chalmers will benefit most while Luol Deng figures to help out. Shabazz Napier would also get more run. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 11:23 am
    • Andrew Bogut (knee) didn't play on Sunday
Andrwe Bogut (knee) did not play in Sunday's overtime win over the Pelicans.

Advice: Bogut's timetable to return is not clear, but he's expected to be reevaluated on Monday. While Bogut remains sidelined, Festus Ezeli will continue to start, but Marreese Speights and Andre Iguodala are the primary beneficiaries from a minutes perspective. Ezeli is averaging just five points, 3.7 rebounds and a block in 18 minutes (three starts) while filling in for Bogut. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 7:37 am
    • Chris Andersen (ankle) returns vs Heat Sunday
Chris Andersen returned from a nine-game absence on Sunday with two points, three rebounds and one block in 18 minutes during a home loss to the Bulls.

Advice: Andersen can rack up impressive rebound and block totals on a per-minute basis, but the 36-year-old has struggled to stay healthy and doesn't get enough minutes for use in typical fantasy leagues. He'd only be worth deploying if Josh McRoberts (knee) and Chris Bosh (calf) miss more time. Rotoworld.com

    • Gallinari (knee), Foye (knee) out Sunday
Danilo Gallinari (knee) and Randy Foye (knee) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Neither of these guys are currently worth owning in standard leagues. Wilson Chandler and Aaron Afflalo will continue to log heavy minutes with both their backups sidelined. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Andersen (ankle) available for Sunday
Updating a previous report, Chris Andersen (ankle) will be available to play for Sunday's game vs. Chicago.

Advice: Andersen will see some increased opportunity tonight with Josh McRoberts (knee) and Chris Bosh (calf) sidelined, but he's not much more than a shot-blocking specialist in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Andersen (ankle) game-time decision Sun
Chris Andersen (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game vs. the Bulls.

Advice: The Heat could use him with both Chris Bosh (calf) and Josh McRoberts (knee) sidelined, but he's still nothing more than a shot-blocking specialist in deep leagues. Check back closer to tip-off for an official update on Andersen's status. Rotoworld.com

    • Marcus Smart (Achilles) out for Monday's game
Marcus Smart (Achilles) is listed as out for Monday's game vs. the 76ers, and is not travelling with the team.

Advice: He reportedly has a chance to play on Wednesday and should practice on Tuesday, so the injury isn't thought to be too serious. However, Smart isn't a big part of the rotation and would need an injury or trade of Rajon Rondo to be relevant in standard leagues. Leave Smart on the waiver wire for now. Evan Turner should receive a few extra minutes with this news. Rotoworld.com

    • Sergey Karasev struggles in start on Saturday
Sergey Karasev started again for Brooklyn on Saturday, but struggled mightily by scoring just three points to go with one assist, one board, one steal and one 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

Advice: He had a decent game on Friday against the 76ers in which he scored 11 points in 28 minutes, but he disappeared against the Hornets and couldn't get anything going. However, as long as he is starting he will be worth monitoring in deeper leagues, but he is still a long ways away from standard league consideration. Rotoworld.com

    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) doubtful for Saturday
Danilo Gallinari (knee) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against the Rockets.

Advice: We would be surprised if he played considering his knee has been a nuisance all season. Gallinari has yet to perform up to his usual standards and we don't see him becoming relevant in standard leagues this season given how well Wilson Chandler has played. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 9:18 am
    • Isaiah Canaan (ankle) is out on Saturday
Isaiah Canaan (ankle) will not play in Saturday's game vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: Patrick Beverley is healthy, so Canaan won't see big minutes upon his eventual return. We will update his status as needed, but owners can ignore him in all but the deepest of leagues. Jason Terry, Troy Daniels and Nick Johnson will all continue to see a bump in minutes, but none of them are standard league options. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 8:08 am
    • Andrew Bogut and David Lee out Saturday
Andrew Bogut (knee, flu) and David Lee (hamstring) have been ruled out for Saturday's game vs. Dallas.

Advice: Bogut just had his knee drained and is dealing with a flu so he is not expected to be re-evaluated until Monday while David Lee is reportedly very close to returning to action. Bogut should be considered questionable for Tuesday's game against a strong Memphis team, so owners will want to check back for an update prior to that game. Festus Ezeli will likely draw another start at center, but Marreese Speights is the biggest winner of this news and is worth a look in all leagues in the short term. Rotoworld.com

    • Wade scores season-high 29 points with flu
Dwyane Wade played through an illness and scored a season-high 29 points in Friday's road win over the Jazz, hitting 10-of-16 shots (1-of-1 3PTs, 8-of-12 FTs) with three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block in 35 minutes.

Advice: Wade sure didn't look sick tonight and these are the types of lines he needs to make up for his absences and somehow justify his ADP. Chris Bosh went for 22 and nine with a steal and two blocks as his excellent year continues, and Luol Deng scored 14 points with six rebounds, a steal and a three in the win. Rotoworld.com

    • Zach Randolph drops 20-11 on Friday night
Zach Randolph double-doubled during a 113-107 overtime win on Friday with 20 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and two turnovers in 43 minutes.

Advice: It was his first 20-10 of the month and just his second double-double, as well. Randolph was outside the top 150 for standard league value over the past two weeks, so a big game tonight had to feel good for his owners. He'll get a friendly matchup against the 76ers on Saturday. • Sergey Karasev plays well on Friday
Sergey Karasev played well against the 76ers on Friday during a start with 11 points, two rebounds, two steals and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

Advice: He's outplaying Bojan Bogdanovic right now and is taking his minutes. Karasev still has a lot of work to do in order to climb into the conversation in standard leagues and is only on the radar in very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 9:32 pm
    • Marcus Smart (Achilles) out for game
Marcus Smart suffered a left Achilles strain on Friday and will not return.

Advice: Not good. He was on the exercise bike for a minute and went to the locker room under his own power. Smart had a bad ankle sprain last month and he looks like he's going to miss time with this issue. Marcus Thornton and Evan Turner are going to get even more playing time. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwyane Wade (illness) will play Friday
Dwyane Wade (illness) will play Friday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: Get him active as Wade remains a must-start guy every time he's in the lineup. He also has a favorable matchup tonight against the Jazz, and although he's sick, he's still Dwyane Wade and worthy of consideration in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 4:26 pm
    • Karasev still starting on Friday night
The Nets will start Deron Williams, Sergey Karasev, Joe Johnson, Kevin Garnett and Mason Plumlee against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: Karasev has passed Bojan Bogdanovic on the depth chart for now and it could stick unless Bogdanovic turns it around. Of course, this news only concerns owners in extremely deep leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 3:44 pm
    • Chris Andersen hopeful to play on Tuesday
Chris Andersen (ankle) is targeting a return to the lineup on Tuesday.

Advice: He hasn't had any setbacks and his timetable was two weeks from his sprain back on Nov. 23, so Tuesday makes sense as a target date. Andersen is only a specialists for blocks in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 12:35 pm
    • Isaiah Canaan remains out for Saturday
Isaiah Canaan (ankle) will not play against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Advice: He was hopeful to play in this game, but the Rockets are not going to rush him back. Patrick Beverley is playing big minutes while Jason Terry, Nick Johnson and Troy Daniels are in the rotation for now, too. Canaan can be dropped just about everywhere. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 11:16 am
    • Dwyane Wade (illness) doubtful for Friday
Dwyane Wade (illness) missed shootaround and is doubtful to play Friday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: If Wade can't go, expect Mario Chalmers to return to the starting lineup and see a major increase in his offensive workload. Chalmers has been solid with the starting unit, boasting averages of 17.4 points, 6.5 assists, and 1.1 three-pointers per game, and he'll make for a nice plug-and-play option in daily leagues if Wade is indeed ruled out. • Shaw explains why Gallinari's PT is down
Nuggets' head coach Brian Shaw explained during a recent interview why Danilo Gallinari's playing time has been down this season.

Advice: "[Gallinari] understands that if Wilson [Chandler] wasn't playing as well as he is playing at that position, then maybe I'd let him out there and try to play through it a little bit more," said Shaw. "But Wilson is playing well, and he's not, so that's why Wilson is out there." Gallinari's numbers are way down this season, and he's shooting a career-worst 32.8 percent from the field. He's not going to get things turned around anytime soon, and belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Isaiah Canaan out for Thursday night
Isaiah Canaan (ankle) is still out for Thursday against the Kings.

Advice: The Rockets don't really need him these days with Patrick Beverley back in the starting lineup. Canaan can be dropped in just about all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Gallinari (knee) will miss next couple games
Danilo Gallinari (knee) estimated that he'll miss the next couple of games in order to rest and heal his surgically-repaired left knee.

Advice: Gallinari has been a shell of his former self this season, putting up his worst numbers since his rookie year with averages of 6.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 three-pointer per game. His knee is going to be an ongoing issue, and given his limited upside, he can be cut in nearly all leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 1:49 pm
    • Danilo Gallinari out until knee stops hurting
Danilo Gallinari (knee) will sit out until his surgically-repaired knee stops hurting, according to head coach Brian Shaw.

Advice: Gallinari has some soreness in his right now and will be listed as day-to-day until the pain dissipates. "The guy was out 19 months," Shaw said. "He's still experiencing a little bit of pain. He's not back to the level he wants to be at." Gallo has until Saturday's game against the Rockets to rest his ailing knee, but even that seems like a questionable proposition at the moment. Fantasy owners can feel free to cut bait until he proves that he's healthy. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson posts monster line in win
Taj Gibson had 11 points, 10 rebounds and a season-high six blocks in Wednesday's win over the Nets.

Advice: The Nets are a sieve to opposing bigs right now and Gibson and Pau Gasol combined for 27 points, 26 rebounds and 10 blocks tonight. He's over his ankle injury and is worth starting in fantasy leagues, especially with Joakim Noah dealing with an ankle injury of his own right now. The last time Gibson blocked six shots in a game was Jan. of 2011. Rotoworld.com

    • Sergey Karasev draws start, struggles
Sergey Karasev started at small forward for the Nets on Wednesday but hit just 3-of-8 shots for six points, six rebounds and a steal in 31 minutes.

Advice: He was 0-of-3 from downtown and had played a total of 35 minutes on the season coming in. He did score 11 on Monday, so just put him on your radar in case they stick with him. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 8:38 pm
    • Marcus Smart cools off on Monday night
Marcus Smart did not score in 12 minutes against the Hornets on Wednesday, adding two rebounds and one assist.

Advice: He put up 23 points on Monday for the best game of his career, but coach Brad Stevens didn't unleash him tonight. Smart is likely going to only see minutes in the teens most nights, so he can be left on the waiver wire while the Celtics are healthy in the backcourt. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson is starting on Wednesday
Taj Gibson will start against the Nets on Wednesday.

    • Sergey Karasev will start on Wednesday night
Sergey Karasev will start against the Bulls on Wednesday.

Advice: It's unclear if the owner had an influence on the Russian starting tonight. Karasev has been on the court for just 35 minutes on the year, but he had a nice 11-point game on Monday. He'll need to stay hot to remain in the lineup, but he's not a fantasy option in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) out against Heat
Danilo Gallinari (knee) is out against the Heat on Wednesday, and the Nuggets have listed him as day-to-day.

Advice: He is still experiencing soreness in his knee and he can't seem to catch a break. Gallinari has had a very limited role this season, and just doesn't look like the same player he used to be. Gallinari can be cut across the board, while Wilson Chandler will continue to log big minutes at small forward for the Nuggets, and should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 10:37 am
    • Isaiah Canaan (ankle) is out on Wednesday
Isaiah Canaan (ankle) is listed as out for Wednesday's game vs. the Warriors.

Advice: He won't be relevant again unless Patrick Beverley goes down with an injury, so owners should look elsewhere. Jason Terry will continue to play backup point guard for the depleted Rockets, but is only worth a look in deeper leagues. Leave Canaan on the wire. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 7:42 am
    • Taj Gibson (ankle) probable for Wednesday
Taj Gibson (ankle) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Nets.

Advice: He will likely play in this one, and should draw the start with Joakim Noah (ankle) on the sidelines. Gibson should have a field day against Brooklyn's depleted frontcourt, and should be in all lineups barring a setback. Nikola Mirotic would be the first big off of the bench for the Bulls and will get some decent run after filling in admirably for the Bulls while Gibson was nursing his ankle injury. Rotoworld.com

Taj Gibson (ankle) is being listed as probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Nets.

Advice: Joakim Noah (ankle) will not play on Wednesday, so if Gibson is able to go, he'll slide into the starting lineup and make for a quality option in daily leagues. Nikola Mirotic will also see some extended minutes off the bench with Noah sidelined. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Andersen (ankle) out Tuesday vs. PHO
Chris Andersen (ankle) will not suit up for Tuesday's game vs. the Suns.

    • Joel Embiid progresses to standstill shooting
Joel Embiid (foot) has been allowed to progress to standstill shooting during practice, according to 76ers' head coach Brett Brown.

Advice: "He cleared the first layer,'' Brown said. It's unclear what other layers Embiid has to clear, but this is good news for the rookie as he rehabs his surgically-repaired foot. While it's unlikely that we'll see the rookie debut during the 2014-15 season, his fantasy owners in dynasty leagues have to be happy with this progress. Rotoworld.com

    • Smart scores season-high 23 points
Marcus Smart has a career-best game with 23 points, four rebounds, five assists, two steals and four threes in 35 minutes off the bench in Monday's double-overtime loss.

Advice: Brad Stevens went heavy with the bench and let them finish out the game after they made a huge comeback. Smart is going to have a hard time providing consistent fantasy value in 12-14 team leagues as things stand right now, but it's good to see him productive when he's on the floor. Rotoworld.com

    • Amir Johnson dealing with some ankle issues
Amir Johnson needed to get his ankle re-taped against the Nuggets on Monday with seven points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and three turnovers.

Advice: He basically dealt with ankle pain for the entire second half of the season last year, so this is troubling news. Johnson looked hobbled in his return in the second half, so don't be surprised if he misses a game to get him back to 100 percent. He tried to play through it last year and it backfired. They play the second-place Cavs on Tuesday, so check back for an update after morning shootaround. Rotoworld.com

    • Joel Embiid shooting free throws at practice
Joel Embiid (foot) was taking free throw attempts at practice on Monday.

Advice: He is still extremely unlikely to be on the court this season. Embiid should be fine for the 2015-16 season and could be a sneaky pick in drafts. For now, Robert Covington has benefited the most as a stretch four with Nerlens Noel playing some center. Rotoworld.com

    • Isaiah Canaan is still out for Wednesday
Isaiah Canaan (ankle) will not play on Wednesday vs. the Warriors.

Advice: Patrick Beverley is back and the Rockets are not going to need Canaan nearly as much. Jason Terry is still expected to get some run because the Rockets have no choice but to go small. Canaan can be cut everywhere. Rotoworld.com
