    • Nicolas Batum (knee, wrist) questionable Fri
Nicolas Batum (left knee contusion, right wrist) is questionable to play against the Spurs on Friday.

Advice: This probably has to do with his bad fall from the incident with Larry Sanders on Wednesday. Batum did not miss time, but he does have a history with wrist and knee ailments. If he misses time, C.J. McCollum, Dorell Wright and Will Barton will likely pick up some minutes -- none are great fantasy plays. Batum owners will want to check back on Friday morning. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson (ankle) will not play on Thursday
Taj Gibson (ankle) will not play against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: The Bulls should not need him tonight. Gibson suffered a new injury to his ankle this week, so this is not soreness. Gibson did go through warmups and he's usually pretty tough, so he should be considered a littler closer to probable for Friday. Nikola Mirotic will pick up some extra playing time. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard is good to go for Thursday
Dwight Howard is good to go against the Pelicans on Thursday.

Advice: He looked great on Wednesday with 24 points against the Nuggets. Howard had some soreness on Saturday in his first game back, so there was at least a small chance he sat out. Start Howard as planned. Rotoworld.com
      Today, 3:58 pm
    • Joakim Noah (ankle) will play Thursday vs. NY
Joakim Noah (ankle) will play Thursday vs. the Knicks, as expected.

Advice: Get him in your lineups for what is a favorable matchup vs. the Knicks. With Derrick Rose (illness) unavailable for this one, Noah will be asked to do a bit more on offense, and he makes for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson (ankle) a game-time decision Thurs
Taj Gibson (ankle) will warm up and see how he feels before deciding his status for Thursday's game vs. the Knicks.

Advice: If Gibson is unable to play, Nikola Mirotic will soak up his minutes, although he's been struggling lately so he's a risky option in daily leagues. Joakim Noah will get all the minutes he can handle if Gibson can't go. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Jae Crowder sent to Boston in Rondo deal
Joe Crowder will be sent to Boston as part of the Rajon Rondo deal.

Advice: He's going to fight for reserve minutes with Evan Turner, and the trade to Boston doesn't do much for his value. Unless Jeff Green is traded, he won't be worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Today, 3:13 pm
    • Brandan Wright headed to BOS in Rondo deal
Brandan Wright will be sent to Boston as part of the trade for Rajon Rondo.

Advice: Wright will enter a very crowded frontcourt in Boston, and he'll be fighting for minutes with the likes of Tyler Zeller (current starter), Kelly Olynyk, and Brandon Bass. It'll be interesting to watch Boston's rotations develop, but Wright makes sense as a speculative add in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Today, 3:08 pm
    • Anthony Bennett dealing w/ painful blister
Anthony Bennett was limited to just four minutes during Wednesday's game because he is dealing with a painful blister under a callus on his foot.

Advice: Bennett was limited during Thursday's practice, and while he hasn't been listed on the injury report yet, we'll consider him questionable for Friday's game vs. the Celtics. He's not worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Today, 2:44 pm
    • Jordan Hill (illness) probable for Friday
Jordan Hill (upper respiratory infection) did not practice on Thursday, but he is being listed as probable for Friday's game vs. OKC.

Advice: This is Hill's second consecutive missed practice, but he doesn't appear to be in jeopardy of missing Friday's game. Still, owners will want to check back for an official update closer to Friday's tip, and if he's unable to go, Robert Sacre, Ed Davis, and Carlos Boozer will help fill the void. Stay tuned. • Kobe Bryant (rest) doesn't practice Thursday
Kobe Bryant (rest) was not a participant during Thursday's practice.

Advice: He's fine and coach Bryon Scott is just giving him a prescribed rest day. He'll have a tough matchup vs. OKC on Friday, but remains a must-start option every time he's in uniform. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson doubtufl for next two games
Lance Stephenson (pelvis) is doubtful for the Hornets' next two games with a pelvic sprain.

Advice: The Hornets play the 76ers on Friday and the Jazz on Saturday and it looks like they'll have to do so without Stephenson. We'll update his status after Friday's shootaround, but fantasy owners can expect to see more of Gerald Henderson, Marvin Williams, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and Gary Neal if Stephenson is out for the weekend. • Joakim Noah expected to play Thurs vs NYK
Joakim Noah (ankle) is expected to play against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: Noah was a participant in shootaround and is expected to be available when the Bulls take on the Knicks Thursday night. Noah's owners can feel free to plug him back into their starting lineups, while Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic will see their fantasy value take a hit upon Noah's return. Rotoworld.com

    • Donatas Motiejunas keeps the party going
Donatas Motiejunas was fantastic against the Nuggets on Wednesday with 18 points, six rebounds, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

Advice: Terrence Jones (leg) is at least getting some shots up at practice, so he's at least on his way back. There is still no timetable for his return, so Motiejunas is good to go as a must-start guy right now. Keep him roster and cross the TJ bridge when you get to it. Rotoworld.com
      Today, 12:37 am
    • Dwight Howard plays 43 minutes, scores 24
Dwight Howard played 43 minutes in an overtime win over the Nuggets on Wednesday with 24 points, 16 boards, one assist and four blocks on 7-of-16 from the field and 10-of-15 from the line.

Advice: The Rockets starters lived at the charity stripe with 48 attempts while their bench didn't have any. As for Howard, he was as dominant as he has been all season and helped keep the Nuggets out of the paint. His 43 minutes are a very encouraging sign and his fantasy owners should have some shred of confidence in him now. Of course, it makes a lot of sense to sell high considering how much time he missed from an injury that came out of nowhere. Rotoworld.com
      Today, 12:29 am
    • Danilo Gallinari has a great game vs. HOU
Danilo Gallinari returned from a three-game absence on Wednesday during a loss to the Rockets, playing 26 minutes with 16 points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal and four 3-pointers.

Advice: It was one of his best showings of the season and he shot the ball with a lot of confidence. Gallinari's knee has flared up on him multiple times and he was only playing 13.8 minutes per game in his four games before the rest, so fantasy owners in standard leagues shouldn't consider him "back" yet. Plus, he's not looking to shoot nearly as much as he has in his career. Rotoworld.com
      Today, 12:00 am
    • Matt Barnes disappears in win over Pacers
Matt Barnes hit just 1-of-3 shots for three points, two rebounds, four assists and a block in 31 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: He came in sort of hot, but never got it going tonight. He's been playing much better over the last two weeks, so we fully expect him to bounce back in his next game. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 11:49 pm
    • Blake Griffin torches Pacers for 31 & 16
Blake Griffin hit 11-of-27 shots for 31 points, 16 rebounds, five assists and a steal in Wednesday's win.

Advice: His field goal percentage wasn't good, but he did hit 9-of-13 free throws and had a big line. His free throw shooting has greatly improved, and his fantasy value as followed as a result. Congratulations if you drafted him this year. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 11:48 pm
    • Nicolas Batum is fine after a bad fall
Nicolas Batum had a bad fall against the Bucks on Wednesday, finishing with eight points, six rebounds, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Larry Sanders committed a dirty foul on Batum and he was down for a couple minutes, but he did not miss time at all in tonight's game. Batum does play some stretch four, so that might actually help him get more shots while the Blazers adapt to not having Robin Lopez. He's still a nice buy-low player. Rotoworld.com

    • Solo Hill starts, scores 10 points in loss
Solomon Hill started and hit 2-of-8 shots for two 3-pointers, 10 points, three rebounds, six assists and a steal in 33 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: He's been hit or miss for a couple weeks now and with C.J. Miles healthy and starting to play better, Hill could struggle to hold onto his starting gig for much longer. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 11:29 pm
    • David West double-doubles in loss to LAC
David West hit 8-of-15 shots for 17 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in 31 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Clippers.

Advice: West has been fairly disappointing after missing much of the season with an ankle injury but came through tonight. He might finally be getting into game shape and could be ready to start producing for his owners, who have had a rough time waiting for him to get it together. Tonight was a step in the right direction. Rotoworld.com

    • Mason Plumlee goes for 23 & 8 in loss
Mason Plumlee made another start for Brook Lopez (back) and had a career-high 23 points, eight rebounds and two blocks on 9-of-13 shooting in Wednesday's loss.

Advice: Plumlee got off to a dreadful start when Bro-Lo went down, but has now scored 21 and 23 points in his last two games. He's a free throw killer and hit just 5-of-11 of them tonight, but as long as Lopez is out, Plumlee should be in your lineup. He's averaging 16.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks over his last five games, but is shooting just 43 percent at the line during that stretch. Rotoworld.com

    • Quincy Pondexter plays 23 minutes in start
Quincy Pondexter played 23 minutes in start against the Spurs on Wednesday with four points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Advice: Pondexter had a solid preseason, but he's been quiet on the season. Vince Carter has found the fountain of youth off the bench, so Pondexter is going to have a tough time having fantasy value even with Tony Allen out. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 10:34 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic starts, scores 14 w/ 4 treys
Mirza Teletovic started on Wednesday and hit 5-of-10 shots and four 3-pointers for 14 points, three rebounds and two assists in a loss to Toronto.

Advice: Kevin Garnett got the night off and Sergey Karasev was out with an injury, so Teletovic got the start. He's probably worth owning in most leagues for his 3-point prowess, but he's been very inconsistent all season. He also recently missed three straight games with a hip injury and had just five points in his return on Tuesday, and could be headed back to the bench with Garnett slated to return for the next one. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 10:22 pm
    • Zach Randolph goes for 21 and 21 in win
Zach Randolph scored 21 points with 21 rebounds, one assist and two steals against the Spurs on Wednesday.

Advice: That's five consecutive double-doubles for Z-Bo, averaging 19.8 points, 13.2 boards, 1.0 steals and 2.0 turnovers in that span. Randolph is starting to get it going on offense and it's safe to say his slow start is behind him, making 53 percent from the field over his last 11. His fantasy owners can go back to penciling him in for a double-double most nights. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 10:20 pm
    • Boris Diaw scores 17 points with 13 boards
Boris Diaw scored 17 points with 13 boards, five assists and three 3-pointer sin 39 minutes against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Advice: It was his first double-double of the season and he matched his season high in triples tonight. Diaw has been a valuable piece for the Spurs this season when they sit their veterans. While he is 32, he hasn't sat any game this season, which could change after tonight. He's a low-end player to own in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:56 pm
    • Justin Hamilton invisible in start for Heat
Justin Hamilton started at center for the Heat again on Wednesday, but had just two points and one rebound on 1-of-3 shooting in 12 minutes.

Advice: The minutes just aren't likely to be there for Hamilton, even with Chris Bosh and Josh McRoberts hurting. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:52 pm
    • 38-year-old Tim Duncan plays 48 minutes
Tim Duncan played 48 minutes against the Grizzlies during a triple-overtime loss on Wednesday, scoring 23 points with 16 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals.

Advice: Yeah, he's probably not playing on Friday against Portland. Duncan actually hit a buzzer-beater to send this game to triple-OT, but he missed 10 of his 15 free throws -- tied his most misses in a game in his career (happened four other times). Again, his fantasy owners should plan on him sitting out one if not both back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:45 pm
    • Derrick Favors quiet in return from injury
Derrick Favors had 11 points, six rebounds, one assist, a steal and a block on 3-of-8 shooting in 33 minutes in his return from an ankle injury on Wednesday.

Advice: Favors is back and while he didn't do much tonight, he did hurt Rudy Gobert's minutes (19) badly. Favors should be good to go from here on out, so get him back in your lineup. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:30 pm
    • Gerald Green scores 16 points off the bench
Gerald Green scored 16 points off the bench against the Hornets during a 111-106 win on Wednesday, adding five rebounds, one steal and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He picked up a ton of minutes at the forward spots with Markieff Morris being ejected. Green is the only player in the NBA to average at least 11 shots per game with less than 25 minutes per game, so he might actually hold some value in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:03 pm
    • Report: Brandan Wright in trade talks to BOS
Multiple sources are reporting that the Mavs and Celtics are having serious discussions about a trade that would include Brandan Wright going to Boston for Rajon Rondo.

Advice: Wright had 10 points, five rebounds and three blocks in Wednesday's win over the Magic, but it's hard to say what would happen to his fantasy value if he goes to Boston. Tyler Zeller is starting, Kelly Olynyk is playing at a high level and Jared Sullinger can also play center. In other words, a move to Boston may not be a bad thing for Wright, but we doubt it makes him a must-own player, either, as long as the aforementioned bigs remain in Beantown. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard will play against Denver
Dwight Howard (knee) will play against the nuggets on Wednesday.

Advice: He went through warmups and everything appears to be fine. Howard admitted he had some soreness following Saturday, but that's to be expected with how much time he missed. Fantasy owners can use him like they normally would. Expect the Nuggets to be in foul trouble tonight. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 6:28 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic will start on Wednesday
Mirza Teletovic will start for the Nets against the Raptors on Wednesday, replacing Kevin Garnett (rest).

Advice: Teletovic just returned from a hip injury on Tuesday, but should be in line for as many minutes as he can handle with KG out of the lineup. Teletovic should be owned in most leagues for his ability to knock down 3-pointers in a hurry, and he should also be considered as a strong plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 3:40 pm
    • Gerald Green coming off the bench again
Gerald Green will come off the bench against the Hornets on Wednesday.

Advice: He launched 15 triples in his last start on Monday and will move back to a bench role with Goran Dragic back. Green's minutes are going to be inconsistent, so he's not a must-own player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 3:18 pm
    • Derrick Favors will play on Wednesday night
Derrick Favors (ankle) will play against the Heat on Wednesday, but is still dealing with soreness.

Advice: He went through shootaround on Tuesday and perhaps playing him in one of two games in the back-to-back set was the plan. Favors has been playing well in the starting lineup and his owners should have him locked and loaded for tonight. Rudy Gobert will move back to the bench, but it should be interesting to see if he gets more playing time due to how he's turning heads. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 3:04 pm
    • Jordan Hill (illness) misses practice on Wed
Jordan Hill (illness) did not practice on Wednesday.

Advice: The Lakers are off until Friday, so Hill should be ready to go. He's been able to stay healthy this season despite the massive increase to 30.1 minutes per game. If for some reason he's not ready to play, the Lakers will have to come up with a patchwork group of Robert Sacre, Ed Davis and Carlos Boozer to help out. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson listed as questionable for Thurs.
Taj Gibson (right ankle) is listed as questionable to play against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: It's apparently a new injury for Taj, so he could wind up missing this game. Gibson was very active on the glass in the past few games without Joakim Noah, but he'll move to the bench on Thursday. He is still worth owning in standard leagues. If he's out, Nikola Mirotic will have an uptick in value. Rotoworld.com

    • Joakim Noah says he'll play on Thursday
Joakim Noah (ankle) said he will play against the Knicks on Thursday.

Advice: It's the Bulls, so he's not a complete lock to play. Noah has been held out of the lineup for the past four games, but he did go through practice. Upon his return, Taj Gibson will lose some minutes while Nikola Mirotic will also lose some playing time -- he's struggled lately. Noah's owners can pencil him in for their lineups. Rotoworld.com

    • Joakim Noah (ankle) expects to play Thursday
Joakim Noah (ankle) fully expects to play against the Knicks on Thursday if all goes well.

Advice: He practiced fully on Wednesday and as long as he is feeling up for it he will play against the Knicks. Noah has missed the last four games, but owners can finally expect to have him back and would be wise to get him in their lineups. Taj Gibson would likely slide back to the bench with this news and Nikola Mirotic could potentially fall out of the rotation. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard (knee) goes through shootaround
Dwight Howard (knee) participated in the morning shootaround, but is still questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Denver.

Advice: His status will likely be determined closer to tip-off, so his owners will have to frequently check back for updates. If he is held out of Wednesday's game, Tarik Black would likely start but still wouldn't be an asset in most leagues. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 10:52 am
    • Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are active Wed
Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tiago Splitter will all be active for Wednesday's showdown with the Grizzlies.

Advice: All three players were rested on the second night of a back-to-back set on Monday, so this news comes as no surprise. Duncan is the only must-start option, while Ginobili is worth a look considering Tony Parker (hamstring) is on the sidelines. Splitter, on the other hand, is only an asset in deeper leagues until he earns a larger role. Rotoworld.com

    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) will play Wednesday
Danilo Gallinari (knee) will play on Wednesday vs. Houston.

Advice: The Italian has been a ghost of the player he used to be this season, and has really struggled with his knee. Wilson Chandler is locked in as the starting small forward for the Nuggets, and unless he is traded there is not a lot of playing time available. Until Gallinari strings together a few good games and stays active, he won't be worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Mirza Teletovic returns to action on Tuesday
Mirza Teletovic returned to action on Tuesday, finishing with five points, one assist and one 3-pointer in 11 minutes.

Advice: After missing the previous three games, it is not surprising to see the Nets ease him back into action. Teletovic should see his role increase again soon, and he deserves a long look in most leagues for his ability to knock down 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 9:23 pm
    • Mason Plumlee stays hot, scores 21 points
Mason Plumlee stayed hot on Tuesday during a loss to the Heat, scoring 21 points to go with nine boards, one assist, one steal and one block in 32 minutes.

Advice: He was impressive once again on Tuesday and managed to connect on 8-of-12 from the field. Brook Lopez isn't expected to be re-evaluated until Saturday, so the window for playing time is still open for Plumlee. If you are in need of short-term value, Plumlee is definitely worth a look. • Justin Hamilton disappoints in start Tuesday
Justin Hamilton was disappointing in a start on Tuesday, playing just 16 minutes and finishing with three points, two boards and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Josh McRoberts (knee) could be done for the season while Chris Bosh (calf) could be sidelined for a while, so the opportunity is there for Hamilton. However, he didn't look comfortable out there and his quad may have been an issue for him. Until he can string together a few good games, owners in standard leagues can look the other way. • Zach Randolph drops 17 & 10 on Warriors
Zach Randolph had 17 points and 10 rebounds on 8-of-12 shooting in Tuesday's big win over the Warriors, which snapped their 16-game winning streak.

Advice: Randolph didn't do anything amazing tonight, but played well enough to help his team win, just as he's done all season. Mike Conley added a pedestrian 17 points, five assists and four steals on 6-of-18 shooting, but the Memphis D was too much for the streaking Dubs tonight. The Grizzlies now hold a record of 20-4, which is just one less win than the 21-3 Warriors. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 8:33 pm
    • Derrick Favors (ankle) out Tuesday vs. NO
Derrick Favors (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Pelicans, and Rudy Gobert will draw the start.

Advice: Gobert put up seven points, nine rebounds, two steals, and three blocks during his last start, and he'll make for a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Favors was able to go through shootaround, so we'll consider him questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Heat. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 3:39 pm
    • Justin Hamilton (quad) expected to play Tues.
Justin Hamilton (quad) is expected to play Tuesday vs. the Nets.

Advice: The Heat will be without starters Chris Bosh (calf) and Josh McRoberts (knee) so they'll need everything they can get from Hamilton. However, as a starter for Miami this season, Hamilton is averaging just 7.7 points and 4.7 rebounds, so he's not a viable option in most leagues despite the starting label. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 3:18 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic (hip) will play on Tuesday
Mirza Teletovic (hip) will play on Tuesday as the Nets take on the Heat.

Advice: He's going to come off the bench, but he'll still see some increased opportunity with Brook Lopez (back) sidelined. However, Teletovic remains a risky play in daily leagues due to his hit-or-miss nature. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 2:54 pm
    • Justin Hamilton (quad) warming up in Brooklyn
Justin Hamilton was spotted going through warmups on Tuesday, and he did not look limited by his quad contusion.

Advice: This bodes well for his chances to play on Tuesday, and we'll be monitoring the situation closely. With both Chris Bosh (calf) and Josh McRoberts (knee) sidelined, the Heat could really use Hamilton, although he doesn't offer much upside as he's averaging just 7.7 points and 4.7 rebounds with the starting unit. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) will play Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Danilo Gallinari (knee) will return to the lineup for Wednesday's game vs. Houston.

Advice: Gallinari is having a very disappointing season with averages of 6.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 three-pointer per game. He can remain on the waiver wire in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 1:26 pm
    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) returns to practice
Danilo Gallinari (knee) returned to practice on Tuesday.

Advice: He may be able to suit up for Wednesday's game vs. Houston, but has been far too inconsistent this season to warrant an add in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 12:35 pm
    • Dwight Howard (knee) questionable for Wed.
Dwight Howard (right knee strain) is now being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Denver

Advice: Howard returned to the lineup on Saturday, logging 30 minutes and putting up 26 points, 13 rebounds, and three blocks. However, he said he felt "tight" on Sunday, and it's a bit concerning that the Rockets are listing him as questionable after he missed a month with the injury. If he's forced to sit, Tarik Black would slide back into the starting lineup, although he doesn’t do enough to warrant consideration in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 11:56 am
    • Derrick Favors present at shootaround Tuesday
Derrick Favors (ankle) was present at Jazz shootaround and is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans.

Advice: It's a good sign that Favors was able to partake in shootaround, but we'll have to loop back for some more concrete news as we get closer to game time. Rudy Gobert would be a great spot-start if Favors is unable to go, while Enes Kanter would see a boost in his fantasy value as well. Rotoworld.com

    • Justin Hamilton questionable for Tuesday
Justin Hamilton (quad) went through shootaround on Tuesday and is questionable for the Heat's game against the Nets.

Advice: Hamilton started on Sunday as the Heat were without Chris Bosh (calf) and Josh McRoberts (knee) and could draw another start on Tuesday if he's able to play. Hamilton had 10 points, three rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 33 minutes on Sunday and could be worth a look in daily league if he's able to play Tuesday night. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant scores 21 in loss on Monday
Kobe Bryant scored 21 points on 8-for-26 shooting to go along with four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two three-pointers during Monday's loss to the Pacers.

Advice: Bryant also set the Lakers' franchise record for fouls during the game, but wasn't in any mood to celebrate the dubious distinction. "We couldn't throw the ball in the ocean sitting on a boat. Tonight was one of those nights," Kobe said. "Sometimes you've got to pat yourself on the back for such an atrocious job." We previously wrote that Kobe was returning top-40 value and his per-game numbers check in at top 50-90 in 8- and 9-cat leagues respectively. Our apologies for the error. Rotoworld.com

    • Pacers owner leaving Stephenson trade to Bird
Pacers owner Herb Simon said he would support a trade to bring Lance Stephenson back to Indianapolis, but is leaving the decision to team president Larry Bird.

Advice: With Stephenson eligible to be traded starting Monday, the Hornets have been rumored to be looking for a trade partner and the Pacers have been the low-hanging fruit in those rumors. "I'd be OK with it but it's not up to me. Larry (Bird) has to decide if he fits," Simon said. Stephenson has struggled in his short time in Charlotte, so a trade would be good news for his fantasy owners as it can't get much worse than his 38.9 percent field goal percentage and 10.4 points per game. • Blake Griffin posts 18-7-7 line in blowout
Blake Griffin scored 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block in Monday's blowout win over the Pistons.

Advice: Griffin has rehabilitated his season-long value into the top 50-60 range and he's been a solid top-30 play over the last two weeks. It wouldn't be surprising if he continues along that trajectory. Rotoworld.com

    • Barnes hits three treys for 10 points
Matt Barnes scored 10 points on 3-of-7 shooting (including three triples) with two rebounds, three assists and one steal over 24 minutes in Monday's blowout win over the Pistons.

Advice: Barnes is on a roll with top-50 value over the last two weeks, averaging 14.5 points with 2.2 treys, 1.7 combined steals and blocks, 53.2 percent field goal shooting and 88.9 percent shooting from the line. Pick him up in all standard formats and hope he doesn't faceplant. Rotoworld.com

    • Point Bebe: Boris Diaw drops nine dimes
Boris Diaw handed out a season-high nine assists against the Blazers on Monday with 10 points, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He didn't top 26 minutes in any of his previous six games, but was up to 36 tonight with the Spurs resting the cavalry. Diaw has fared well on most of his nights while Tim Duncan and Tony Parker are resting, so just keep this line in mind in the future. Rotoworld.com

    • Gerald Green takes 15 treys, makes two
Gerald Green launched 15 attempts from beyond the arc on Monday against the Bucks, making just two of them on his way to 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block in 40 minutes.

Advice: He was not bashful tonight and a lot of shots from Green is nothing new. Goran Dragic could miss another game or two, so Green should have some decent short-term value. Additionally, no player has taken more treys in a game this season than Gerald did tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson turns in a nice game in loss
Taj Gibson made 7-of-11 from the field for 15 points against the Hawks on Monday with 17 boards, one assist and two blocks.

Advice: He was very busy in the low post on both ends for the Bulls. Gibson is likely looking at another start with Joakim Noah (ankle) still on the mend. In his previous eight starts, he averaged 14.5 points, 7.6 boards, 1.6 blocks and 0.6 steals in 35.3 minutes. He's a must-start player until further notice. Rotoworld.com

    • Stephenson scores eight points on Monday
Lance Stephenson scored eight points on 4-of-12 shooting with two rebounds, four assists and two steals in 25 minutes on Monday.

Advice: Stephenson's two steals make this line a lot better than what we see on most nights, but the real issue here is where he'll be traded and what that will do to his value. It can't get much worse than it is in Charlotte, making him a buy low guy with a bigger name than fantasy game due to all of his deficiencies in standard formats. Rotoworld.com

    • Joakim Noah will not play on Monday night
Joakim Noah (ankle) will not play against the Hawks on Monday.

Advice: He was doubtful for this one and had almost no chance to play. Noah could miss more time and the Bulls are not going to rush him back considering they have such great depth behind him. Taj Gibson will start and is a must-start play while Nikola Mirotic will also get more run. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard had some soreness
Dwight Howard "was tight" on Sunday after a game on Saturday, but is good to go for Wednesday.

Advice: He played 30 minutes after missing a month, so some soreness was to be expected. Luckily, the Rockets have a few days off before they'll play on Wednesday. He can be inserted into most fantasy lineups now. Rotoworld.com

    • Duncan, Manu, Tiago & Parker out for Monday
Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tiago Splitter and Tony Parker are out against the Blazers on Monday.

Advice: It's the second night of a back-to-back set, so this news is not a surprise. The Spurs do have a game on Wednesday followed by a back-to-back set starting on Friday, so there is a chance that these three guys sit out two games this week. With Duncan out, Boris Diaw and Aron Baynes will benefit. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 12:36 pm
    • Derrick Favors (ankle) questionable for Tues
Derrick Favors (ankle) was limited in practice on Monday and is questionable for Tuesday against the Pelicans.

Advice: This is a great sign that he won't be out for too long. Perhaps Tuesday is optimistic for Favors, but the Jazz have three more games this week (Wednesday, Friday and Saturday). After seeing Rudy Gobert shine in the past two games, the Jazz probably won't rush him back. Gobert is worth a look and holds huge upside for his blocks, especially since he's improving at the charity stripe. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 12:10 pm
    • Justin Hamilton (quad) is questionable Tues
Justin Hamilton (quad) is questionable to play on Tuesday against the Nets.

Advice: Chris Andersen is expected to come back, so that will at least help Miami in some capacity. Shawne Williams will likely have to step up and start for Miami, as well. Hamilton can be left on the wire unless you're in a deep league. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 11:26 am
    • Joakim Noah (ankle) doubtful to play Monday
Joakim Noah (ankle) is being listed as doubtful for Monday's game against the Hawks.

Advice: We would be shocked if Noah played. Without him, Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson and Nikola Mirotic will all see more playing time. The Bulls are also playing the second of a back-to-back, so that's something to consider when filling out lineups in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • David West wants Pacers' chemistry to improve
David West said the Pacers' chemistry has to improve in order for the team to win games.

Advice: It seems obvious, doesn't it? "Obviously, the chemistry has to get better," West said. "Get a better feel for one another. We just got to continue to prepare and critique what we're doing and figure it out. We got to shoot the ball better. I don't think we're trusting each other on defense. (We're) relying on individual matchups to hold your own and that's not who we've been the last few years." Rotoworld.com

    • Pacers have had talks to reacquire Stephenson
The Indianapolis Star confirmed the Pacers have had talks to reacquire Lance Stephenson.

Advice: However, there's nothing to suggest the two teams are in active discussions or anything is close. A reunion between Stephenson and the Pacers makes sense on a number of levels, but it's not going to be easy for the dream to become a reality. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant passes MJ on all-time points list
Kobe Bryant passed Michael Jordan on the NBA's all-time scoring list on Sunday, moving into third-place with 32,310 career points.

Advice: The Black Mamba's legacy is secured by five NBA championships, 16 All-Star appearances, a league MVP award and two Olympic gold medals, among other accolades. Overtaking MJ on the league's scoring list is a memorable achievement and the Wolves even paused the game in Minnesota to honor Kobe. His 25.4 points per game this season have been tainted for fantasy owners by lousy 38.7 percent shooting, an unfortunate reality which should improve as the season progresses. Rotoworld.com

    • Gerald Green scores 15 points in start Sunday
Gerald Green started in place of Goran Dragic (back) during Sunday's loss to the Thunder, scoring 15 points with seven boards, one assist and three 3-pointers in 26 minutes.

Advice: He was the best player on the floor for the Suns, but still shot just 5-of-13 overall. It is unclear how much time Dragic will have to miss, but Green should be picked up in most leagues if he is available. Rotoworld.com

    • Justin Hamilton scores 10 pts in 33 minutes
In his third start of the season on Sunday, Heat center Justin Hamilton had 10 points, three rebounds, one assist, two steals and one turnover in 33 minutes.

Advice: Miami was without Josh McRoberts (knee) and Chris Bosh (calf), and neither Udonis Haslem nor Chris Andersen are capable of playing big minutes at center, which all but forced Hamilton into the starting lineup. He's averaging 7.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in his three starts this season, and isn't worth fantasy owners' attention with Bosh day-to-day. Rotoworld.com

    • Gallinari (knee), Foye (knee) out Sunday
Danilo Gallinari (knee) and Randy Foye (knee) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: Neither of these guys are currently worth owning in standard leagues. Wilson Chandler and Aaron Afflalo will continue to log heavy minutes with both their backups sidelined. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 4:11 pm
    • Gerald Green will start on Sunday vs. OKC
Gerald Green will enter the starting lineup on Sunday with Goran Dragic (back) sidelined.

Advice: Green usually performs when given the minutes, so he'll make for a quality play in daily leagues with Dragic sidelined. Eric Bledsoe will also see his value go up as he'll be tasked with running the Suns' offense, and Isaiah Thomas will benefit as well, as he’s bound for more minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: Hornets shopping Lance Stephenson
Lance Stephenson will become trade-eligible on Monday, and the Hornets are reportedly looking for a trade partner.

Advice: Charlotte and Indiana have had preliminary discussions regarding Stephenson, but the talks haven't gone far, according to sources. So far, Charlotte has been unwilling to include a first-round draft pick in order to unload Stephenson, which has been a hindrance to any deal involving Lance. The Nets and Clippers have also reportedly begun looking into Stephenson, but have yet to express serious interest. Stephenson would see a major uptick in value if he returned to Indiana, but as it stands right now, nothing is imminent. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

Joakim Noah (ankle) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Heat.

    • Kobe Bryant to continue running some point
Coach Byron Scott said that Kobe Bryant will continue playing some point guard for the Lakers moving forward.

Advice: Coach Scott added that the only reason he took Bryant out against the Spurs was because he has winded. Owners shouldn't view this as a bad thing considering the Mamba has the ball in his hands most of the time anyways, but it does negatively impact the stock of Ronnie Price and Jeremy Lin. If anything, Kobe could see a bump in his assists with the added responsibility. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors (ankle) out for Sunday's game
Derrick Favors (ankle) is officially out for Sunday's game vs. the Wizards.

Advice: This comes as nor surprise as the Jazz have no reason to play Favors at less than 100 percent. As previously mentioned, X-rays were negative on his ankle but there is still no known timetable for his return. The Jazz were hopeful that he would be able to give it a go on Sunday but his ankle swelled up more over the night. In the meantime, Rudy Gobert makes sense as a speculative add for his ability to rebound and block shots while Trevor Booker is also worth a look. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors (ankle) listed as questionable
Derrick Favors (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Wizards.

Advice: X-rays were negative, but the Jazz haven't said much else about his status or the severity of the sprain. It is a good sign that Favors is traveling with the team and even better that he hasn't already been ruled out, but we would guess that the Jazz would rest him if he isn't at 100 percent. If Favors sits this one out, Rudy Gobert is the most intriguing option for his ability to block shots while Trevor Booker will also get a boost. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Joakim Noah (ankle) is doubtful for Sunday
Joakim Noah (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Heat.

Advice: He has missed the Bulls last two games, and he appears likely to sit this one out as well. Noah said on Friday that his ankle is showing signs of improvement, but knowing the Bulls they will probably proceed with extreme caution. Owners should have a backup plan ready and we expect Taj Gibson to start and play big minutes if Noah sits. Nikola Mirotic would also continue to have a good role off of the bench and could be a sneaky plug-and-play. Rotoworld.com

    • Matt Barnes fined $25,000 in Friday's loss
Matt Barnes was fined $25,000 in Friday's loss to the Wizards after he kicked a water bottle into the stands and used profane language to the fans.

Advice: This has become very typical for Barnes, as he loves playing the villain role in the NBA. If anything, this incident must have a lit a fire under him considering he responded with his best game of the season on Saturday, scoring a season-high 26 points with one board, two steals, one block and six 3-pointers. If you are in need of a player, Barnes is worth a look as long as he continues to start for the Clippers. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard scores 26 points in his return
Dwight Howard played 30 minutes in his return to the lineup against the Nuggets on Saturday, scoring 26 points with 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks.

Advice: He was 9-of-11 from the field and 8-of-18 from the line, so it was like he never left. Howard picked up his 10,000th rebound of his career tonight and dominated in the paint on both ends. The Rockets are off until Wednesday, so Dwight gets to heal after being off for almost one month. • Donatas Motiejunas scores 25 points vs. DEN
Donatas Motiejunas scored a career-high 25 points against the Nuggets on Saturday with five rebounds, one assist, one steal and two 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: Well, so much for Dwight Howard affecting him negatively. Motiejunas has been hot in his last five, averaging 17.2 points, 6.8 boards, 1.0 blocks and 0.4 triples on 53.7 percent from the field. It should be interesting to see what happens when Terrence Jones makes his return. For now, both players are worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson struggles again on Saturday
Lance Stephenson struggled again on Saturday, scoring 11 points on 5-of-13 shooting while adding two rebounds, one assist and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

Advice: He has quickly lost the trust of his head coach, and you can tell it is impacting his confidence. The trade rumors also might have caused some distractions for him, but at this point a trade may not be a bad thing for his value. Stephenson is still a must-own player for his upside, but owners should pull a Steve Clifford and bench him until he turns it around. Rotoworld.com

    • Mason Plumlee double-doubles in win Saturday
Mason Plumlee double-doubled in a win against Charlotte on Saturday, finishing with 11 points, 13 boards, two assists and one block in 39 minutes.

Advice: He is going to be capable of doing this every time that Brook Lopez (back) or Kevin Garnett (foot) misses a game so this line is not surprising. Though he is wildly inconsistent, Plumlee is worth a long look in all leagues until Brooklyn gets some of their players back from injury. Rotoworld.com

    • Matt Barnes scores season-high 26 points
Matt Barnes had his best game of the season on Saturday, scoring a season-high 26 points with one rebound, two steals, one block and six 3-pointers.

Advice: He made 10-of-18 from the field and is starting to come on. Over his last five games, Barnes has averages of 14.0 points, 4.0 boards, 1.0 steals and 2.4 triples. Fantasy owners in standard leagues could use those numbers and he was a top-40 guy after the break last year, so there is some incentive to picking him up. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum fills it up on Saturday
Nicolas Batum was up to his stat-stuffing ways during a 95-85 win over the Pacers on Saturday, scoring 14 points with four rebounds, five assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes.

Advice: He made 6-of-11 from the field, which he really needed after making just 33.7 percent from the field in his previous 10. Compared to last season, Batum's averages are down in points, boards and triples, but he should get it all sorted out soon. The buy-low window is going to close, especially with a four-game week on the horizon. Rotoworld.com

    • David West scores 12 points in a loss
David West scored 12 points in 33 minutes during a 95-85 loss to the Blazers, adding four rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block and no turnovers.

Advice: It wasn't the most exciting line, but he filled the stat sheet nicely with his dimes and defense. West started out his season with a very high usage, but it's come back in a big way while he hasn't been efficient either. He should still get better because his minutes are safe and has no competition, so try to buy low if you can. Rotoworld.com

    • Solomon Hill still struggling as starter
Solomon Hill struggled in a start against the Blazers on Saturday with eight points, seven rebounds, one assist and one turnover.

Advice: He made just 4-of-13 from the field and can't get it going. Hill was off to a horrible start in training camp and to start the season, but came on about a month ago. However, he's really fallen apart in his last five, making just 32.6 percent from the field for averages of 8.6 points, 3.8 boards, 3.2 assists and 0.2 steals. Leave him on the wire even with C.J. Miles (knee) banged up. Rotoworld.com

    • Dwight Howard expected to play 20-24 minutes
Dwight Howard (knee) is expected to play 20-24 minutes in his return on Saturday.

Advice: He'll play in 4-5 minute spurts, according to coach Kevin McHale. The Rockets played really well without Howard and they certainly won't want him to aggravate his knee injury, so he could see limited playing time for a few games. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 3:26 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic will not play on Saturday
Mirza Teletovic (hip) will not play against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: It'll be his third game out of the lineup. Teletovic's hip pointer has made him questionable for each game, but the Nets have ruled him out fairly quickly. He could be worth a stash, but might be out a little longer. Expect Alan Anderson, Sergey Karasev and Bojan Bogdanovic to get more shots. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 2:36 pm
    • Solomon Hill starting against the Blazers
Solomon Hill is starting in place of C.J. Miles (knee) on Saturday against the Blazers.

Advice: Hill was bumped from the starting lineup on Friday and will be thrust back into it with the Miles injury. Hill is really struggling right now, which prompted coach Frank Vogel to make the switch. Hill is a risky player to start tonight. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 2:31 pm
    • Dwight Howard will play on Saturday vs. DEN
Dwight Howard (knee) will play against the Nuggets on Saturday.

Advice: "I'm just thankful to be back out there," Howard said. "Nobody wants to sit on the bench in a suit and watch his team play." The Rockets have been rolling without him, winning nine of their last 10 games. Howard has been out since Nov. 19 and should get a good amount of minutes. Donatas Motiejunas should see his usage rate go down while Tarik Black and Joey Dorsey will lose most of their minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors (ankle) travels with the team
Derrick Favors (ankle) is traveling with the team, but the Jazz have not provided an update.

Advice: The team is on a six-game road trip, so the fact that he's traveling doesn't mean much. Rudy Gobert had a huge game on Friday and is probably the favorite to start on Sunday against the Wizards. Trevor Booker will also get some more run while Enes Kanter has played his best sans Favors. • Mirza Teletovic (hip) is questionable on Sat
Mirza Teletovic (hip) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: He has already missed the last two games but could be in for some serious playing time if he is feeling up to it with Brook Lopez (back) out of the lineup and Kevin Garnett dealing with an ailing foot. We should know more shortly and owners will have no choice but to wait patently until we get official confirmation. Mason Plumlee would see all the minutes he could handle if Teletovic sits this one out. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) doubtful for Saturday
Danilo Gallinari (knee) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against the Rockets.

Advice: We would be surprised if he played considering his knee has been a nuisance all season. Gallinari has yet to perform up to his usual standards and we don't see him becoming relevant in standard leagues this season given how well Wilson Chandler has played. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 9:18 am
    • Dwight Howard (knee) upgraded to probable
Dwight Howard (knee) was upgraded to probable for Saturday's game vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: After sitting out for 11 games in a row, Howard may finally make his return to the court in a favorable matchup with Denver. There is still a chance he sits, so owners need to be on alert for any updates prior to the game. If Howard sits, Donatas Motiejunas will continue to be a must-start option while Tarik Black and Joey Dorsey will also see increased run. Rotoworld.com

    • X-rays were negative on Derrick Favors' ankle
X-rays were negative on Derrick Favors' ankle, and he is believed to be dealing with an ankle sprain.

Advice: The Jazz are going to provide an update sometime on Saturday, so owners will have to wait patiently until then. While it is good news, owners are not out of the woods just yet if it is determined that it is a severe sprain. If he is forced to miss time, Trevor Booker will see some increased run, but French phenom Rudy Gobert had his best NBA game on Friday and actually started the second half. If Gobert is available in your league, he is worth a speculative add. Rotoworld.com

    • Duncan passes Jerry West on scoring list
Tim Duncan (rest) returned to action in the Spurs' 112-110 loss to the Lakers on Friday, scoring 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting with 18 rebounds and two blocks.

Advice: Duncan also passed Jerry West for 18th on the all-time scoring list, but he was probably so mad about the loss that he gently tipped over a potted plant in his living room. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe doesn't pass Jordan on 7-of-22 night
Kobe Bryant hit just 7-of-22 shots in Friday's win over the Spurs, scoring 22 points with five rebounds, nine assists, four steals, one three and 7-of-8 makes from the foul line.

Advice: The terrible efficiency doesn't hurt as bad when he's getting it one in other categories like this, but nothing really changes with his value after a night like this. He needs nine points to pass Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list and he'll get that in Minnesota on Sunday. Rotoworld.com

    • Green scores three points in 21 minutes
Gerald Green hit just 1-of-7 shots (1-of-6 3PTs) for three points, one rebound, one assist and one block in 21 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: This had nothing to do with the return of Isaiah Thomas -- Green was just bad. He's been worth owning in standard leagues and one game shouldn't change that, but he could become more of a borderline play as loses a handful of touches. In any event, he's going to be a boom or bust play on most nights. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Favors (ankle) leaves in walking boot
Derrick Favors (ankle) left the arena on Friday in a walking boot.

Advice: The Jazz ruled him out quickly after his ankle sprain, so he's likely going to miss some time. Favors was in the midst of a breakout season and his owners will just have to hope he's not out for too long. Rudy Gobert had arguably his best game of his NBA career tonight while Trevor Booker also stepped up. Rotoworld.com

    • Zach Randolph drops 20-11 on Friday night
Zach Randolph double-doubled during a 113-107 overtime win on Friday with 20 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and two turnovers in 43 minutes.

Advice: It was his first 20-10 of the month and just his second double-double, as well. Randolph was outside the top 150 for standard league value over the past two weeks, so a big game tonight had to feel good for his owners. He'll get a friendly matchup against the 76ers on Saturday. • Lance Stephenson has a thumb issue
Lance Stephenson suffered an apparent thumb injury on Friday against the Grizzlies, finishing with eight points, seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one turnover.

Advice: He did stay in the game, but was in serious pain for close to a minute. Stephenson didn't play down the stretch in overtime and coach Steve Clifford doesn't seem to have total confidence in him. He is a buy-low player to a degree because he's the No. 229 player on per-game value this season, but he's very unlikely to be a mid-round guy. Rotoworld.com

    • West gets back on track in loss to Raptors
David West got back on track in Friday's loss to the Raptors, scoring 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting with seven rebounds, five assists and one block.

Advice: West is going to facilitate a lot of offense anyway, but with no George Hill around he is going to be in the middle of everything. Make sure he wasn't somehow dropped. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 10:01 pm
    • Mason Plumlee has best game of the season
Mason Plumlee made 9-of-14 from the field for 18 points with 10 rebounds and two steals against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: He did a very good job on the defensive end and kept his fouls down. Plumlee will likely get a couple more starts with Brook Lopez (back) and Mirza Teletovic (hip) on the shelf. If you're looking for a center, give him a look. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 9:53 pm
    • Hill scores 16 points with three blocks
Solomon Hill moved into a bench role on Friday but was productive when C.J. Miles (knee) left the game, scoring 16 points on 5-of-8 shootijng (1-of-2 from deep, 5-of-6 from the line) with three rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 30 minutes.

Advice: Miles is hoping to play Saturday so Hill's minutes are in jeopardy, and even when he was getting a full workload he was barely worth owning. Outside of deep leagues, owners shouldn't chase here. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 9:50 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic is traveling with the team
Mirza Teletovic (hip) is traveling with the team for Saturday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: It's unknown if he can play and he should be considered questionable. Teletovic has missed the last two games with his hip pointer and he didn't try to warm up tonight, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see him sit. Mason Plumlee had a great game tonight and would be worth a look. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 7:49 pm
    • Blake Griffin finally has a down game
Blake Griffin was held in check against the Wizards on Friday with 14 points, two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 37 minutes.

Advice: He averaged 24.3 points per game over his previous 10, including a 45-point night on Monday. Griffin was just 6-of-13 from the field and 2-of-4 from the line tonight, so this was one of his lowest usage rates of the season. He'll be fine and will likely torch the Bucks on Saturday. • Batum still can't find the range in Chicago
Nicolas Batum continued to shoot poorly in Friday's loss to the Bulls, hitting 3-of-12 shots (including a three) with five rebounds, five assists and no defensive stats.

Advice: Batum is shooting just 36.6 percent on the season and that's simply not going to be the case all year. He's a prime buy low candidate and things will start to look nice when he cleans up that crooked number. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan is good to go for Friday
Tim Duncan will play against the Lakers on Friday.

Advice: He rested on Wednesday and there was never really a doubt. He will likely abuse the frontcourt of the Lakers, so make sure he's in your lineup. Aron Baynes loses some value. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 5:01 pm
    • Solomon Hill is coming off the bench
Solomon Hill will come off the bench against the Clippers on Friday.

Advice: He looked like he was safe, but only played 17 minutes on Wednesday. Hill is stuck in a bad slump over his last five, making just 34.1 percent from the field for 7.2 points per game. If you still own him in a standard, it's time to start looking for other options. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 3:12 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic (hip) out on Friday night
Mirza Teletovic (hip) will not play against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: The Nets will go with Mason Plumlee in the starting lineup again. Teletovic was putting up some decent output with Brook Lopez going down and might be worth stashing for owners needing treys. Rotoworld.com

    • Joakim Noah says ankle improving, knee fine
Joakim Noah stated during Friday morning's shootaround that his ankle is improving, and his knee is fine, but he remains out vs. Portland.

Advice: It's nice to know that Noah is making improvements, and hopefully some rest will be the cure for his ailing ankle and knee. Taj Gibson will remain with the starting unit as long as Noah is sidelined, and he'll make for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Nikola Mirotic will also see extended minutes. • Shaw explains why Gallinari's PT is down
Nuggets' head coach Brian Shaw explained during a recent interview why Danilo Gallinari's playing time has been down this season.

Advice: "[Gallinari] understands that if Wilson [Chandler] wasn't playing as well as he is playing at that position, then maybe I'd let him out there and try to play through it a little bit more," said Shaw. "But Wilson is playing well, and he's not, so that's why Wilson is out there." Gallinari's numbers are way down this season, and he's shooting a career-worst 32.8 percent from the field. He's not going to get things turned around anytime soon, and belongs on the waiver wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Donatas Motiejunas fouls out vs. Kings
Donatas Motiejunas fouled out in the fourth quarter against the Kings on Thursday, scoring 14 points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 30 minutes.

Advice: He continues to be aggressive on the offensive end with 12 of his 13 shots coming from within eight feet tonight. Motiejunas is likely going to take a hit soon with the return of Dwight Howard possibly coming on Saturday. If you've enjoyed the ride the past two weeks, you might want to lower your expectations beyond this weekend. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant calls his teammates soft
Kobe Bryant returned to practice on Thursday and called his teammates "soft" during a 5-on-5 scrimmage.

Advice: He had been resting during practice sessions to keep his body fresh, but said he can see why the Lakers "lost 20 games" based on how they practice. Bryant also had some words for Nick Young when Young said, "Nobody in the world can guard me one-on-one," and Bryant telling Young, "You're going exactly where I want you to go." The Lakers get the Spurs on Friday and everyone will be watching Kobe's demeanor closely. There are plenty of Kobe quotes in the link below. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: Teams interested in Lance Stephenson
Four to five teams have reportedly expressed interest in acquiring Lance Stephenson from the Hornets, though no deal in imminent.

Advice: The marriage between Stephenson and the Hornets has not gone as smoothly as anticipated as the Hornets currently boast a record of 6-15. However, Stephenson remains committed to helping turn things around in Charlotte, and through three games in December he's put in respectable averages of 16.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the field. With nothing imminent, this is just something to make a note of for now. Rotoworld.com

    • Joakim Noah (ankle) out Friday vs. Portland
Joakim Noah (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Trail Blazers.

Advice: That means that Taj Gibson will draw another start, and he'll make for a quality play in daily leagues. Nikola Mirotic will also see some extended minutes off the bench, and he too will make for a nice plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Gallinari (knee) will miss next couple games
Danilo Gallinari (knee) estimated that he'll miss the next couple of games in order to rest and heal his surgically-repaired left knee.

Advice: Gallinari has been a shell of his former self this season, putting up his worst numbers since his rookie year with averages of 6.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 three-pointer per game. His knee is going to be an ongoing issue, and given his limited upside, he can be cut in nearly all leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Thursday, 1:49 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic (hip) practices on Thursday
Mirza Teletovic (right hip pointer) returned to practice on Thursday.

Advice: This is a positive sign for Mirza being able to suit up for Friday's game vs. the 76ers, and he'll have some nice short-term value while Brook Lopez (back) is out of commission. Kevin Garnett (foot) was unable to practice on Thursday, and if he can't play Friday Teletovic (if able to play) could see heavy minutes. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Hill wants to attempt more treys
Jordan Hill is trying to expand on his range and wants to attempt more three-pointers.

Advice: Hill has only attempted 11 three-pointers in his six-year NBA career, but he's not letting that hurt his confidence. "If I took 100 3s right now, I would say I could make close to 50," Hill said. "Probably 40." Hill's targeted percentages would put him among the league leaders, but his fantasy owners will have to settle for his relatively inconsistent rebounding numbers until he decides to unleash his inner Kyle Korver. • Danilo Gallinari out until knee stops hurting
Danilo Gallinari (knee) will sit out until his surgically-repaired knee stops hurting, according to head coach Brian Shaw.

Advice: Gallinari has some soreness in his right now and will be listed as day-to-day until the pain dissipates. "The guy was out 19 months," Shaw said. "He's still experiencing a little bit of pain. He's not back to the level he wants to be at." Gallo has until Saturday's game against the Rockets to rest his ailing knee, but even that seems like a questionable proposition at the moment. Fantasy owners can feel free to cut bait until he proves that he's healthy. Rotoworld.com

    • Justin Hamilton surprise starter for Heat
Justin Hamilton started at power forward with Josh McRoberts (knee) out and had four points and seven rebounds on 2-of-5 shooting in 22 minutes.

Advice: Shawne Williams came off the bench for nine points, four rebounds, two blocks and five fouls on 3-of-9 shooting, and played 24 minutes. He's still the guy you'll want to use in deep leagues when McBob is out, but his fantasy value has taken a big hit, as McRoberts' injury isn't thought to be serious. Rotoworld.com

    • Donatas Motiejunas stays hot with Dwight out
Donatas Motiejunas hit 8-of-17 shots for 18 points, six rebounds, two assists and a block in Wednesday's loss to the Warriors.

Advice: He's been playing very well with Dwight Howard and Terrence Jones hurting, and should continue to be started by fantasy owners as long as the two aforementioned players are in street clothes. Rotoworld.com

    • Boris Diaw fills it up against the Knicks
Boris Diaw scored 12 points in an easy 109-95 win over the Knicks on Wednesday with three rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block and two 3-pointers.

Advice: That's three games in a row with at least four assists and Diaw's 3.4 per game on the year are his highest with the Spurs. Diaw has provided low-end fantasy value in standard leagues, but he should be worthy of starting in most formats on the nights coach Gregg Popovich sits his stars. Rotoworld.com

    • Nicolas Batum fills stat sheet on off night
Nicolas Batum hit just 1-of-6 shots (a 3-pointer) for five points, but still finished with three rebounds, six assists, two steals and four blocks.

Advice: If there such a thing as a good-bad game, this is it. Batum isn't scoring as much as his owners would like to see, but he's doing enough in every other category to still provide excellent fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson posts monster line in win
Taj Gibson had 11 points, 10 rebounds and a season-high six blocks in Wednesday's win over the Nets.

Advice: The Nets are a sieve to opposing bigs right now and Gibson and Pau Gasol combined for 27 points, 26 rebounds and 10 blocks tonight. He's over his ankle injury and is worth starting in fantasy leagues, especially with Joakim Noah dealing with an ankle injury of his own right now. The last time Gibson blocked six shots in a game was Jan. of 2011. Rotoworld.com

    • Mason Plumlee starts, goes for 8 & 8
Mason Plumlee started at center on Wednesday and had eight points, eight rebounds, two assists and three blocks on 3-of-11 shooting in 28 minutes.

Advice: He also hit just 2-of-5 free throws and his line would have looked much better had his shot been falling. With Brook Lopez out indefinitely and Kevin Garnett suffering a foot injury tonight, Plumlee looks like a player to grab if you need a short-term center. Rotoworld.com

    • Solomon Hill bottoms out on Wednesday
Solomon Hill played just 17 minutes and hit 1-of-7 shots for four points and three assists in another start for the Pacers on Wednesday.

Advice: He has scored five or fewer points in three of his last five games and the Pacers benched most of their starters tonight, including Hill. He'll get hot again at some point, but the sudden emergence of C.J. Miles (30 points, 7 3-pointers tonight), could spell disaster for Hill going forward. Rotoworld.com

    • David West awful in loss to Clippers
David West hit just 1-of-7 shots for two points and three rebounds in Wednesday's loss to the Clippers.

Advice: West has totaled just 10 points in his last two games and probably belongs on your bench until he gets it going. Especially since he doesn't do anything but score and grab a few boards. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 7:34 pm
    • Matt Barnes now relevant for Clippers
Matt Barnes hit 4-of-8 shots and a 3-pointer for 11 points, five rebounds, an assist and a block in Wednesday's win.

Advice: He's starting, getting minutes, has scored in double figures in three of his last five games, and is averaging 11.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.6 3-pointers over that stretch. He's worth a look if you have some dead weight at the end of your bench. Rotoworld.com

    • Blake Griffin double-doubles in win
Blake Griffin hit 7-of-17 shots and 3-of-4 free throws for 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two blocks in Wednesday's win.

Advice: Griffin has blocked four shots in his last five games and is shooting 79 percent from the line over that stretch. Those used to be two of his Achilles heels, but that no longer seems to be the case, giving him the potential for first-round value for the first time in his career. And by the way, the Clippers have now won nine straight games. Rotoworld.com

    • Justin Hamilton starting for the Heat vs. DEN
Justin Hamilton is starting in place of Josh McRoberts (knee) on Wednesday.

Advice: Interesting. Coach Erik Spoelstra likely wants to keep Shawne Williams in the second unit, so Williams should still get some minutes. Hamilton is not a great option in the vast majority of leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 6:50 pm
    • Taj Gibson is starting on Wednesday
Taj Gibson will start against the Nets on Wednesday.

Tim Duncan will not play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

      Wednesday, 5:05 pm
    • Mirza Teletovic out Wednesday w/ hip pointer
Mirza Teletovic will not play vs. the Bulls on Wednesday due to a right hip pointer.

Advice: The Nets are seriously depleted with Mirza, Brook Lopez (back) and Joe Johnson (flu) all out of commission. Mason Plumlee and Kevin Garnett will be pressed into heavy action against the Bulls' frontcourt, and more minutes should also be available for backup C Jerome Jordan. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 3:54 pm
    • Mason Plumlee will start on Wednesday night
Mason Plumlee will start next to Kevin Garnett on Wednesday.

Advice: The Nets have lost previous starters Mirza Teletovic (hip, game-time decision) and Brook Lopez (back) to injuries. Plumlee will likely see an increase from his 19 minutes on Monday and is a decent pickup in fantasy leagues if you're OK with poor foul shooting. Rotoworld.com

    • Point Mamba? Scott could start Kobe at PG
Coach Byron Scott said he could start Kobe Bryant at point guard.

Advice: The move is not going to happen soon and coach Scott has said he wants to stick with this current group for 15 games or so. Obviously the Lakers aren't getting anything out of their point guard spot, so it's only right for Scott to consider this. It shouldn't affect Bryant's fantasy value much because he handles the ball so much anyway. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobil are questionable Wed
Tim Duncan (rest) and Manu Ginobili (rest) are questionable to play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

Advice: It's the second half of a back-to-back, so there will always be some uncertainty with these guys. Duncan is catching up to Jerry West on the all-time scoring list, but it might not happen tonight. If he's out, it'll be Aron Baynes and Tiago Splitter (calf) benefiting. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 11:55 am
    • Danilo Gallinari (knee) out against Heat
Danilo Gallinari (knee) is out against the Heat on Wednesday, and the Nuggets have listed him as day-to-day.

Advice: He is still experiencing soreness in his knee and he can't seem to catch a break. Gallinari has had a very limited role this season, and just doesn't look like the same player he used to be. Gallinari can be cut across the board, while Wilson Chandler will continue to log big minutes at small forward for the Nuggets, and should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 10:37 am
    • Taj Gibson (ankle) probable for Wednesday
Taj Gibson (ankle) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Nets.

Advice: He will likely play in this one, and should draw the start with Joakim Noah (ankle) on the sidelines. Gibson should have a field day against Brooklyn's depleted frontcourt, and should be in all lineups barring a setback. Nikola Mirotic would be the first big off of the bench for the Bulls and will get some decent run after filling in admirably for the Bulls while Gibson was nursing his ankle injury. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant drops 32 points to lead Lakers
Kobe Bryant dropped 32 points to lead the Lakers to a win vs. the Kings on Tuesday, adding six assists, three boards, two steals and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: The Black Mamba was his usual self on Tuesday, hoisting up 27 shots while connecting on 11 of them. Despite the inefficient shooting, he was a beast down the stretch and even ended up playing point guard to close out the game. His 8-of-8 shooting from the free throw line was also refreshing, and there is just no sign of him slowing down. Rotoworld.com

    • Gerald Green drops 19 points in 22 minutes
Gerald Green dropped 19 points in 22 minutes on Tuesday, and finished with two rebounds, two assists, one steal and five 3-pointers.

Advice: Green is one of the most electrifying players in the NBA when he is hot, and Tuesday was one of those nights. He shot 5-of-7 from 3-point range and displayed his athleticism on several occasions. While he is inconsistent, he should be owned in all formats for his ridiculous upside. The impending return of Isaiah Thomas (ankle) will dampen his value a little, but not enough to scare owners away. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan's gaudy line not enough vs. Utah
Tim Duncan racked up 23 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, three steals and four blocks in a losing effort on Tuesday, making 10-of-16 FGs and 3-of-4 FTs in 36 minutes.

Advice: Huge and well-rounded stat lines like this are the reason why fantasy owners will tolerate the occasional unexpected DNP from Duncan, who is still a top-30 value (per-game) at age 38. We'll keep a close eye on his status for Wednesday's game vs. the woeful Knicks, which has 'DNP-Old' written all over it. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryant likely to retire after contract
Lakers' GM Mitch Kupchak stated during a recent interview that he believes Kobe Bryant will retire after he plays out the final years of his current contract.

Advice: "All indications are, to me, from him, that this [two-year contract extension] is going to be it," said Kupchak. "If somebody's thinking of buying a ticket three years from now to see Kobe play, I would not do that. Don't wait. Do it this year." The second half of that quote seems to be more of a marketing ploy, but Kobe will be 38-years-old when his contract expires, so retirement would seem likely. With the Lakers destined to be one of the early teams mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, owners may want to consider selling high on Bryant. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson (ankle) probable for Wednesday
Taj Gibson (ankle) is being listed as probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Nets.

Advice: Joakim Noah (ankle) will not play on Wednesday, so if Gibson is able to go, he'll slide into the starting lineup and make for a quality option in daily leagues. Nikola Mirotic will also see some extended minutes off the bench with Noah sidelined. Rotoworld.com

    • Kobe Bryants likens injuries to Mt. Everest
Kobe Bryant spoke of the challenges in his recovery from a ruptured achilles and fractured kneecap and likened his rehab to climbing Mount Everest.

Advice: "To say it was like climbing Mount Everest is an understatement. It was really, really a bear. Really a bear," Bryant said of his rehab. The Mamba has overcome both injuries and is currently averaging 25.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.4 three-pointers (albeit on 38.9 percent field goal shooting). Bryant's fantasy owners may want to think about allaying any injury concerns and selling high, but there's not too much to complain about with the 36-year-old. Rotoworld.com

    • Blake goes nuts for 45 & 8 w/ game-winning 3
Blake Griffin scored a season-high 45 points on 14-of-24 shooting (2-of-2 3PTs, 15-of-17 FTs) with eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in the Clippers' 121-120 overtime win against the Suns.

Advice: This game is going to be on replay all week and it was a vintage Griffin performance, as he and P.J. Tucker went at it for most of the night and he goaded Tucker into a key foul late. His 3-pointer at the buzzer hit front iron and got the lucky bounce to wrap up the game, and Griffin would promptly let Tucker know all about it. And for the rest of us we were all notified that the buy low window is slammed shut. Rotoworld.com

    • Barnes stays productive in overtime win
Matt Barnes hit 4-of-11 shots (no threes) for eight points, four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in Monday's overtime win over the Suns.

Advice: Barnes has rehabilitated his standard league value and has played at a solid mid-round level over the last two weeks, averaging 9.5 points with 1.5 treys, 4.5 boards and a combined 1.4 steals and blocks. Yes, injuries or lackluster play could derail him, but a late-round projection seems to be a bit better than a coin flip. Rotoworld.com

    • Green scores 15 points off the bench
Gerald Green scored 15 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 5-of-11 shots (including two threes) with two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 32 minutes.

Advice: Green won't usually get this much run when Isaiah Thomas (ankle) returns, but his season-long body of work is in the top 90-100 range and that means he should be owned in all standard formats. Rotoworld.com

    • Plumlee can't get it done in 19 minutes
Mason Plumlee played just 19 minutes with nine points, three rebounds and no steals or blocks in the Nets' 110-88 blowout loss to the Cavs on Monday.

Advice: Plumlee has looked nothing like this summer's version or last year's version, and it looks like we jumped the gun on him. Mirza Teletovic left tonight's game with a hip injury and did not return, so there is opportunity here but we'd be being blind if we didn't note that Plumlee hasn't given anybody a reason to believe this year. • David West has poor showing on Monday
David West scored eight points in a 108-92 loss to the Hawks on Monday with four rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes.

Advice: He still hasn't hit his stride, averaging 14.2 points, 6.8 boards, 2.2 assists and 0.4 blocks in 27.4 minutes per game. West is getting a ton of shots from the field, but he isn't to the line line he usually does. He'll be better and is a buy-low option. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Hill quiet vs. Omer Asik & New Orleans
Jordan Hill's streak of quiet games continued on Sunday with eight points, seven rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 26 minutes, as the Lakers fell at home to the Pelicans.

Advice: Hill shot 4-of-11 in a tough matchup vs. New Orleans' frontcourt, but it's more concerning that he's averaging just 23.7 minutes over the Lakers' past three games. L.A.'s rotations are in flux as coach Byron Scott seeks a rotation that can sustainably play well, and fantasy owners should simply remain patient -- Hill has been far too reliable to fret about during a rough three-game stretch.
