    • Hornets coach criticizes rookie P.J. Hairston
Hornets coach Steve Clifford said that rookie P.J. Hairston "hasn't developed any way to play to make his teammates better."

Advice: Charlotte is jockeying for a playoff spot and Clifford's rotation has no room for player development, so we're unlikely to see Hairston or fellow rookie Noah Vonleh on the court in the season's final weeks. Rotoworld.com

    • Zaza Pachulia awful in 13 minutes vs. Denver
Zaza Pachulia started Tuesday's game but was awful in 13 minutes of action, going scoreless with three turnovers, two fouls and no other stats to his credit.

Advice: Pachulia was completely out of sorts in an awkward matchup vs. Kenneth Faried, and Jason Kidd wisely opted to limit his playing time after a brutal start to the game. He's off the radar in all but the deepest leagues, regardless of where he begins the game. John Henson (10 points, five boards, one block) is still the center to own in Milwaukee. Rotoworld.com

    • Jared Dudley (knee) struggles in return Tues
Jared Dudley (knee) finished Tuesday's loss in Denver with two points, five boards and one assist in 20 minutes off the bench.

Advice: He shot just 1-of-6 from the field and may not be 100 percent healthy. Standard-league owners can leave him on the waiver wire as long as he's playing 20-25 minutes behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Ersan Ilyasova. Rotoworld.com

    • Gary Harris fades in Nuggets' bench rotation
Nuggets rookie Gary Harris was scoreless in six minutes off the bench vs. Milwaukee on Tuesday.

Advice: He had played at least 16 minutes in his previous five games but even then he wasn't anywhere near standard-league fantasy value. Coach Melvin Hunt doesn't seem inclined to give him big minutes, and the waiver wire should be Harris' permanent home. Rotoworld.com

    • Elijah Millsap goes scoreless in 11 minutes
Elijah Millsap failed to score in 11 minutes off the bench against the Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Advice: He missed all three of his shot attempts from the field and failed to register a single stat to the dismay of his owners. Head coach Quin Snyder recently heaped praise on Millsap, so it was a little confusing as to why Joe Ingles played 35 minutes. Millsap emerged as a solid deep league asset after logging 25 or more minutes in his eight previous games, so his owners may want to give him another chance before cutting bait. Rotoworld.com

    • Noah Vonleh racks up yet another DNP-CD
Hornets rookie Noah Vonleh picked up his sixth consecutive DNP-CD on Tuesday.

Advice: The 19-year-old PF was drafted No. 9 overall by Charlotte last summer, but coach Steve Clifford is coaching his team toward the playoffs and won't sacrifice wins for Vonleh's development. He's worth monitoring during the summer, however, as he could emerge with a substantial role in 2015-16. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Williams gets 17 points off SAC bench
Derrick Williams came off the bench for 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting on Tuesday, making three 3-pointers with three boards, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes.

Advice: Knicks' opponents are shooting a league-best 38.6 percent from downtown and it showed on Tuesday, as the Kings made a combined 10-of-18 triples in the easy road win. George Karl is still figuring out how to get "more consistent value" from Williams, but he also referred to him as "one of our more skilled players." Standard-league owners should keep a close eye on D-Will in case his role continues to grow during the Kings' final 24 games. Rotoworld.com

    • Nik Stauskas returns to rotation w/ 15 points
Nik Stauskas made a splash in his return to the Kings' rotation on Tuesday, hitting 4-of-8 FGs and 6-of-6 FTs to finish with 15 points and two assists in 25 minutes.

Advice: One of his makes came from downtown and Stauskas should have a reliable spot in the rotation now that Darren Collison (hip) is expected to miss the rest of the season. He picked up extra minutes in a 38-point blowout tonight, however, and is only worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • James Young logs 17 minutes off Celts' bench
James Young scored nine points in 17 minutes off the Celtics' bench on Tuesday, going 2-of-5 from downtown and 3-of-3 at the free throw line.

Advice: He's shooting 4-of-16 in his past four games and has failed to capitalize on the minutes afforded him by coach Brad Stevens. Young should stick in the rotation with Boston emphasizing player development down the stretch, but he's clearly not a fantasy asset. Rotoworld.com

    • Marcus Smart shoots 0-of-5 in lopsided loss
Marcus Smart missed all five of his field goals on Tuesday to finish an ugly loss in Cleveland with two points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 22 minutes.

Advice: Smart wasn't the only player to struggle -- the Celtics shot 35.2 percent as a team including a 7-of-28 mark from downtown, and they lost the game by 31 points. Smart has been clinging to late-round value in 12-team leagues despite Isaiah Thomas' arrival, but his percentages (37.5 percent FGs, 64.6 percent FTs) have been a season-long drag for owners. • James Jones scores double-digit points
James Jones scored double-digit points for the third time this season on Tuesday, making 3-of-6 shots with a pair of 3-pointers to finish with 10 points.

Advice: Jones added six boards, two assists and one steal in 21 minutes, taking advantage of extra opportunities with the game firmly in Cleveland's control by halftime. He has overtaken Mike Miller (12 minutes) in coach David Blatt's rotation, but Jones remains nothing more than a deep-league 3-point specialist. Rotoworld.com

    • Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) ruled out again on Tues.
Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) will not play against the Bucks on Tuesday.

Advice: The Nuggets have failed to provide a timetable for the rookie's return, and all we know is that former head coach Brain Shaw hinted that Nurkic would be out for a while. Nurkic is worth a stash if you have an open IR spot, but with fantasy playoffs upon us, his owners may need to look at other options. In the meantime, Kenneth Faried will continue to start at center, while more opportunities will be available for guys like J.J. Hickson and Joffrey Lauvergne. Rotoworld.com

    • Karl wants consistency from Derrick Williams
Kings' head coach George Karl said that he would like to get more consistency from Derrick Williams.

Advice: "Derrick is one of our more skilled players, and we’re trying to figure out how he fits with the team," Karl said. "I thought that he and Andre Miller had chemistry together [on Sunday]. As a coaching staff, we feel that we should try and get more out of him, and more consistent value." Williams was able to put up 18 points on Sunday, but was held to single digits in his previous three outings, including a zero-point performance vs. San Antonio. He's not worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • NO to give Elliot Williams a 10-day contract
The Pelicans are expected to sign G Elliot Williams to a 10-day contract.

Advice: Williams played five games for the Jazz earlier in the season on a 10-day deal, and put in averages of 3.6 points and 1.0 three-pointer per game on 46.2 percent shooting from the field. He'll help add some depth to New Orleans’ backcourt, but he's well off the radar in standard leagues. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com

    • Tyler Johnson (ankle) expected to play Wed.
Tyler Johnson (ankle) did not participate during Tuesday's practice, but he is expected to play Wednesday vs. the Lakers.

Advice: Johnson is experiencing some soreness in his left ankle after a hard fall during Monday's physical game against the Suns, but the injury is not expected to cause Johnson to miss any action. "It's been better," Johnson said of his ankle. "I walked out [Monday] and it was really painful. I came out and got some treatment. It's only getting better." Johnson is coming off a career-high 26 point outing, but we'd like to see a similar performance before recommending him as an add in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • P.J. Hairston benched due to absence
P.J. Hairston was inactive during Sunday's game due to a missed weight-training session.

Advice: According to two sources, Hairston missed a weight-training obligation and was subsequently put on the inactive list for Sunday's game. Hairston was also made inactive for a game in December after an unexcused absence from practice, so this isn't his first transgression of his rookie season. The rookie has only suited up for one of the Hornets' last 10 games, so he can be left on the wire in all but the deepest fantasy leagues at this point. Rotoworld.com

    • Hot Ish: Smith has a good game vs. Raps
Ish Smith scored 19 points with five rebounds, nine assists and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes against the Raptors on Monday.

Advice: Coach Brett Brown already said that he likes Smith as a backup point guard, so he's not going to leapfrog Isaiah Canaan for the starting gig. That doesn't necessarily mean he won't outproduce him. In his last two games, he's averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 boards, 7.0 boards and 1.0 treys. He is worth a look in 16-team leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Tyler Johnson scores career-high 26 points
Tyler Johnson scored a career-high 26 points against the Suns on Monday with one rebound, one assist, four steals and three 3-pointers on 10-of-13 from the field in 26 minutes.

Advice: It was also more points than he scored in any of his college games at Fresno State. Needless to say, nobody saw this coming with three consecutive DNP-CDs coming into this game. There were 102 players who logged minutes tonight and only one of them, DeMar DeRozan, had more points than Johnson tonight. Plus Johnson had a 90.8 true shooting percentage. Stats aside, Goran Dragic only played 15 minutes, which really helped Johnson. Unless you're in a really deep league, we're going to have to see Johnson score in double digits with Dragic out there for more than 30 minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • Jared Dudley ready to roll for Tuesday night
Jared Dudley (knee) will play against the Nuggets on Tuesday.

Advice: He missed Saturday due to some soreness in his knee cap and looks to be in the clear. Interestingly, every fantasy owner's favorite headache, Ersan Ilyasova, stepped up while Dudley was down, so that is the major fantasy implication here. While Dudley isn't worth owning, it'll be interesting to see what happens with Ghostface Ilya. Dudley isn't worth owning in most leagues while Ilyasova is worth a look -- add at your own risk of course. Rotoworld.com

    • Elijah Millsap draws praise from Quin Snyder
Coach Quin Snyder recently heaped praise all over rookie Elijah Millsap.

Advice: "There’s things that Elijah does that makes us a better team," Snyder said. "I think he shoots the ball maybe better than any of us thought when he first got here, just his ability to hit a spot-up shot." Snyder added that Millsap has to learn how to better balance plays for himself vs. plays for his teammates, but he's clearly established himself as a key part of Snyder's rotation and is averaging over 25 minutes per game since the All-Star break concluded. • Gary Harris plays 16 minutes in reserve role
Gary Harris shifted back to Denver's bench vs. the Pelicans, playing 16 minutes to finish with two points, one rebound, one steal and one turnover.

Advice: Harris' minutes have spiked to 20.0 over his past five games, but he's a combined 10-of-33 from the field during that stretch and has done nothing to earn a bigger role. Fantasy owners should let him bob along on the waiver wire. Rotoworld.com

    • Ish Smith starts 2nd half over Isaiah Canaan
Ish Smith took over at PG to start the second half vs. Indiana on Sunday, posting 11 points, one 3-pointer, four rebounds and five assists in the Sixers' loss.

Advice: Smith is a career 38.6 percent shooter and fantasy owners should be extremely wary of his 47.4 percent free throw shooting this season. He's a decent speculative add for deep-league owners seeking a point guard, but his starting job isn't guaranteed and we wouldn't cut anyone of value to get him. Rotoworld.com

    • Derrick Williams scores 18 points in loss
Derrick Williams matched his season-high with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting against the Blazers on Sunday, adding one rebound in 23 minutes.

Advice: His role has been erratic at best under head coach George Karl, and he has averaged just 16.4 minutes per game since coach Karl took over. Until Williams earns a bigger role in Sacramento, he is going to be tough to own outside of the deepest of leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 6:24 pm
    • Ish Smith starts 2nd half over Isaiah Canaan
Ish Smith started the second half in place of Isaiah Canann on Sunday vs. the Pacers.

Advice: Canaan has struggled with his conditioning and hasn't exactly looked comfortable running the point in Philly, but head coach Brett Brown has been known to shake things up occasionally. Smith was averaging 6.3 points, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals in his previous three performances with the 76ers, but owners in most leagues should use a wait-and-see approach here. Rotoworld.com

    • Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) out as expected Sunday
Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) will not play vs. the Pelicans on Sunday as expected.

Advice: He is expected to be "out a while" according to head coach Brian Shaw, but his owners should at least entertain the idea of holding onto him if they have an IR spot, or at least until we get a firm timetable. Joffrey Lauvergene has been playing well for the Nuggets and is worth a look in deeper leagues, while J.J. Hickson might be able to finally make some noise as well. Rotoworld.com

    • Jared Dudley (knee) out for Saturday
Jared Dudley (knee) will not play against the Jazz on Saturday.

Advice: X-rays were negative on his kneecap and he appears to be day-to-day. However, it's tough to gauge how much time he is going to miss because Dudley did have an issue with his kneecap last year. He can be dropped in most leagues. Ersan Ilyasova and Jerryd Bayless likely get most of Dudley's minutes. Ilyasova is worth a look in standard leagues and we'll let you know how he does tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Shaw: Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) out 'for a while'
Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is "out a while" due to his ankle sprain, according to coach Brian Shaw.

Advice: There is no timetable, but the sense is that he's going to need at least a week or maybe even a month to get over this injury. Nurkic was posting some elite value and could have been a top-50 player the rest of the way, so his owners will have to weigh their options on keeping him. While he's out, Joffrey Lauvergne seems to be benefitting most, but he's only worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jared Dudley needed an X-ray on knee
Jared Dudley needed an X-ray on his knee following Friday's game.

Advice: He said he is dealing with some problems with his kneecap, which bothered him last season. Dudley hasn't played well lately and has clearly been passed by Khris Middleton. If he's out, more minutes will go to Ersan Ilyasova and Jerryd Bayless. Rotoworld.com

    • Smart scores 10 points with two threes
Marcus Smart scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds, three assists and one steal over 31 minutes in Friday's win.

Advice: Smart has produced more like a shooting guard than a point guard all season so the arrival of Isaiah Thomas hasn't really changed much. He's still a late-round value and if anything the added playmaker might be able to get a few extra looks. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 10:38 pm
    • James Jones starting for LeBron
James Jones will start against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: Revenge game because he started his career with the Pacers? Kidding aside, Jones played just one minute last night and he was out of the rotation earlier this season. Fantasy owners should be looking to J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert more than Jones. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 3:28 pm
    • Karl hints at more playing time for Stauskas
Kings' head coach George Karl hinted that there may be more playing time for Nik Stauskas now with Darren Collison (hip) likely done for the season.

Advice: Stauskas, taken with the No. 8 overall pick of the 2014 draft has struggled to get into the Kings' rotation this season. Through 51 games, Stauskas has put in averages of 3.4 points and not much else on 32.6 percent shooting from the field, leaving a lot to be desired from a fantasy perspective. We'll be watching the Kings' rotations closely over the coming weeks, but for now, Stauskas can remain on the waiver wire in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) will not play Friday
Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. Utah, as expected.

Advice: With Nurkic unavailable, and Darrell Arthur (calf) being listed as doubtful, J.J. Hickson and Kenneth Faried are going to be logging heavy minutes on Friday, while newcomer Joffrey Lauvergne could put up some nice numbers. He had 11 points, nine boards, a steal and a block on Wednesday, when Nurkic got hurt. It's also possible that Wilson Chandler (groin) plays some minutes at power forward, but Denver is simply running out of options. Faried is going to have a lot of opportunity on Friday, so hopefully he can finally bust out of his slump. Rotoworld.com

    • Elijah Millsap scores career-high 17 in loss
Elijah Millsap came off the bench to hit 5-of-8 shots and a 3-pointer for a career-high 17 points and seven rebounds against the Lakers on Wednesday.

Advice: Millsap's rise contributed to the fall of Joe Ingles (zero points), but we're guessing Millsap won't do this again anytime soon. Just keep an eye on him. Rotoworld.com

    • Zaza Pachulia plays 19 minutes on Wed
Zaza Pachulia played 19 minutes on Wednesday against the 76ers with 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and three turnovers.

Advice: He saw a big increase from his six minutes on Monday, but he played a lot less than John Henson. Considering how well Henson played tonight, it's hard to be encouraged by Pachulia. Fantasy owners in most leagues will want to keep Pachulia on the wire. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 8:55 pm
    • Jusuf Nurkic has lateral right ankle sprain
Jusuf Nurkic suffered a right lateral ankle sprain on Wednesday and X-rays were negative.

Advice: This is actually not bad news for Nurkic, but he is still very likely to miss time and does not have a timetable to return. He was in a lot of pain and could not put weight on his foot. Nurkic owners should hold him for now because players have limped off the court without putting weight on their leg and play in their next game -- Rodney Stuckey did that over the weekend. With Nurkic out, it looks like fellow rookie Joffrey Lauvergne will step up after posting a nice line on Wednesday with 11 points and nine boards. J.J. Hickson will also play more, but his upside isn't great. Rotoworld.com

Marcus Smart made another start on Wednesday and played well, hitting 6-of-9 shots and three 3-pointers for 16 points, two rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block in 30 minutes.

Advice: He's still the starter, despite the arrival of Isaiah Thomas, and had one of his best games of the season tonight. Maybe he can get it going and the Celtics will stick with him, but it's going to be tough for him to play like this on a nightly basis with Thomas around, while Avery Bradley finally cooled off, which also helped Smart's game. Zaza Pachulia will start against 76ers on Wednesday.

Advice: He has been coming off the bench, but he'll be back in the starting lineup tonight. Pachulia only played six minutes on Monday and he's basically in a three-way timeshare with John Henson and Miles Plumlee. He can be left on the wire in most leagues for now. Rotoworld.com

Marcus Smart played just 24 minutes in Monday's win over the Suns, scoring eight points on 2-of-7 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, three assists and one steal.

Advice: James Young saw 19 minutes and Smart was not sharp so clearly he doesn't have unlimited rope. Smart has produced more like a shooting guard than a point guard this season and that should continue barring a major slump. He should still be owned in most standard formats. Rotoworld.com

    • Gary Harris scores 10 in first start
Gary Harris scored 10 points in his first NBA start against the Nets on Monday, adding two rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He was barely playing before tonight, but he picked up a nice chunk of Wilson Chandler's (groin) playing time. Harris will likely get more run down the stretch because the Nuggets will want to figure out if he's capable of being in their rotation next season, but he's played poorly this season with his season field goal percentage of 26.4. He's only worth a look in very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Ish Smith plays 24 minutes, scores seven
Ish Smith made his 76ers debut on Monday, scoring seven points with three rebounds, seven assists, three steals and four turnovers in 24 minutes.

Advice: He has already leapfrogged Tim Frazier and he logged some minutes next to Frazier and Canaan tonight. Zaza Pachulia played just six minutes on Monday against the Bulls.

Advice: Pachulia missed all three of his shots and had just one rebound and one assist to his credit. Yes, the Bucks found themselves in a blowout loss against a vastly superior team, but Pachulia's already teetering deep league value took a major blow tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Dudley goes scoreless on Monday vs. Bulls
Jared Dudley was demoted to a bench role on Monday and missed all four of his shot attempts, finishing with no points as the Bulls had no mercy on his soul.

Advice: Dudley managed two steals, one board and one assist and he has been slowly trending down over the past week. After a night like this, owners have to be thinking about a drop and if there's any slightly better than average free agent it's an easy call. Rotoworld.com

    • Gary Harris starting on Monday night
Gary Harris will start against the Nets on Monday.

Advice: The Nuggets are shifting Danilo Gallinari to small forward and starting the rookie guard for the first time. • 76ers claim guard Ish Smith off waivers
The 76ers claimed guard Ish Smith on Sunday and have waived forward Malcolm Thomas.

Advice: Smith was recently waived by the Pelicans after they acquired Norris Cole in a trade, but he has a decent shot at minutes in Philadelphia so owners in deeper leagues can put him on their radar. Isaiah Canaan will get every opportunity to succeed as the starting PG in Philly for now, so Smith still has a lot of work to do before we can recommend an add. Rotoworld.com
