      Holmgren ended Monday's 100-96 win over Dallas in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals with 18 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, four blocks and one steal over 40 minutes.

      Advice: Holmgren stepped his game up on a night where Jalen Williams struggled with his shot, and the star rookie made his presence felt on both ends of the court, showing efficiency in his touch near the rim and being his usual disruptive self on the defensive end.     • Luka Doncic posts inefficient triple-double Monday
      Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double on Monday with 18 points (6-of-20 FGs), 12 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, one block, two triples and seven turnovers against the Thunder in Game 4.

      Advice: As Doncic continues to play through multiple lower body injuries, his numbers have understandably suffered. Outside of Game 2, his shooting in this series has been way below average. He shot poorly in the first round as well, but it was covered up by gaudy numbers and wins. Injuries aren’t an excuse in the playoffs, and Dallas simply needs more out of their superstar if they want to win another game in OKC. The good news is that it doesn’t get much worse than 6-of-20 shooting and seven turnovers. He’ll look to bounce back in Game 5 on Wednesday. Rotoworld Monday, 9:52 pm

      Advice: As expected, Doncic has been cleared to play in Monday’s game as Dallas looks to take a 3-1 lead in the series.       Advice: Doncic took a step in the right direction by participating in morning shootaround, and he's since been given the green light to suit up for Monday's matchup. The star point guard has been held in check by his standards through the first three games of the series, knocking down 42.1 percent of his tries from the field and 35.0 percent from downtown.       Josh Hart shot 1-of-6 from the field in Sunday’s loss to the Pacers, accounting for two points, three rebounds, and two assists in 24 minutes.

      Advice: Like many of the Knicks’ available rotation players, Hart appeared to be running on empty in Game 4. He was subbed out far earlier than usual (if he sits at all), and the nature of Sunday’s game led to Hart only playing 24 minutes. The 121-89 loss was a “burn the tape” game for New York, with the additional rest for Hart and the other mainstays in the rotation being the lone positive.       Advice: Holmgren has struggled a bit against Dallas' defensive front through three games after averaging 15.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocked shots over four games against the Pelicans. The Mavericks have been able to stay fresh in the paint with Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively platooning at the five, and Jaylin Williams hasn't offered the same kind of secondary support.       Chet Holmgren accumulated 13 points (5-of-9 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, and four blocked shots in 35 minutes in Saturday’s Game 3 loss to the Mavericks.

      Advice: Holmgren blocked four shots in the first quarter of Game 3, which would be it for his production in that category. The rookie has been solid this series, but the advantage in athleticism that he experienced against New Orleans has not been there. And Oklahoma City having two non-shooters in its starting lineup doesn’t help matters concerning offensive spacing. We’ve seen adjustments to account for that in the last two games, with Josh Giddey’s playing time decreasing sharply, but the Thunder need more from Holmgren and the other non-SGA rotation players to win this series.     • Undergoing offseason surgery
      Carter will undergo surgery to stabilize the third metacarpal in his left hand, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reported Saturday. Carter is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 season.

      Advice: In simpler terms, Carter will have a procedure to fully fix his left hand -- the same hand he sustained a fractured middle finger on early this season -- and is expected to be ready for the 2024-25 campaign. Carter missed a month and a half after sustaining the injury (which required surgery) in November but was able to return and appear in 55 games (48 starts) overall.       Hart posted 10 points (4-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 18 rebounds, four assists and two steals over 43 minutes during Friday's 111-106 loss to Indiana in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: Hart didn't do much on the offensive end of the court and barely reached double-digit scoring, but as has been the case all year long, he made his presence felt on the glass. The 18 rebounds represented his best output in the current playoff run in that category, and he's grabbed double-digit boards in all but two of his nine playoff appearances.
