    • Plays reduced minutes in Game 5
Gobert provided nine points (4-8 FG, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes during Thursday's 124-103 loss to the Mavericks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: Gobert's 26 minutes were his lowest of the series despite recording just one foul. The 2023-24 Defensive Player of the Year was often forced to play away from the rim and come out to meet Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on the perimeter in the pick-and-roll. Gobert averaged 11.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 34.0 minutes across the five games against Dallas. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:27 pm
    • Efficient in Game 5 loss
Edwards logged 28 points (10-18 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal over 43 minutes during Thursday's 124-103 loss to the Mavericks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: Edwards recorded his second-highest scoring output of the Western Conference Finals in Game 5 but wasn't able to avoid elimination. After struggling with his efficiency to begin the series, the star guard managed to post 43.0/40.6/75.0 shooting splits over the five games. Against Dallas, Edwards averaged 24.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 41.4 minutes. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:10 pm
    • Rudy Gobert limited to five rebounds on Thursday
Rudy Gobert shot 4-of-8 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Thursday’s loss to the Mavericks, amassing nine points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 26 minutes.

Advice: Gobert was relatively quiet on Thursday night after recording a double-double in Minnesota’s Game 4 victory. He averaged 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for the series but could not significantly impact the action as a rim-protector. Gobert’s 2023-24 season was an improvement on 2022-23, his first after being traded to Minnesota. The chemistry between him and Karl-Anthony Towns improved, but the partnership lowered the fantasy ceilings of both players. Gobert has top-50 potential, but this represents his ceiling rather than his floor. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:37 pm
    • Anthony Edwards finishes Game 5 loss with 28 PTS
Anthony Edwards logged 43 minutes in Thursday’s 124-103 loss to the Mavericks, accumulating 28 points (10-of-18 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block, and four 3-pointers.

Advice: Edwards did what he could to extend the Western Conference Finals, but the lack of production from Minnesota’s supporting cast was too much to overcome. Already accepted as one of the NBA’s top young talents, Ant-Man took things to another level this season. He played well enough during the run to the conference finals to be the focus of some “future face of the NBA” chatter, which should only intensify in the years to come. Edwards’ fantasy value moving forward will depend on how much of the playmaking responsibilities he’s asked to shoulder. Mike Conley isn’t getting any younger, and there could come a point where Edwards shifts to the point. That could be what makes him a first-round player in standard leagues. • Carries Minnesota in Game 4 victory
Edwards posted 29 points (11-25 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), 10 rebounds and nine assists across 40 minutes during Tuesday's 105-100 victory over the Mavericks in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

Advice: No Timberwolves player had more points, rebounds or assists in Game 4 on Tuesday, and the star shooting guard came through when his team needed him the most. The efficiency levels shown in previous rounds aren't there yet, but Minnesota needed Edwards to get the job done Tuesday, and he did. Edwards needs to carry the momentum into Game 5, as the Timberwolves remain down 1-3 in the series but will have home-court advantage Thursday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:55 am
    • Rudy Gobert tallies 13 points, 10 rebounds Tuesday
Rudy Gobert accumulated 13 points (4-of-5 FGs, 5-of-9 FTs), 10 rebounds, one assist, and one blocked shot in 39 minutes in Tuesday’s 105-100 win over Dallas.

Advice: The Timberwolves aren’t done yet, as their best players performed well enough to avoid being swept. Gobert recorded his second double-double of the series, the first coming in Minnesota’s Game 2 loss at home. He also played a series-high 39 minutes for the Timberwolves, who did not have to deal with Mavericks backup center Dereck Lively II (neck sprain). Gobert and the Timberwolves avoided falling apart in crunch time, which was an issue in the first three games of the series. They’ll look to extend the series even further on Thursday night at home. • Anthony Edwards scores 29 points as Wolves survive
Anthony Edwards logged 40 minutes in Tuesday’s 105-100 win over the Mavericks, tallying 29 points (11-of-25 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), 10 rebounds, nine assists, and two 3-pointers.

Advice: With Minnesota’s season on the line, Edwards was more consistently aggressive than he was in the series’ first three games. While he was responsible for six of the Timberwolves’ 14 turnovers, the approach paid dividends. Edwards finished one assist shy of a triple-double, and the series will shift to Minneapolis for Game 5 on Thursday. Minnesota still faces incredibly long odds, as no NBA team has ever erased a 3-0 series deficit. But their season hasn’t ended yet. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:15 pm
    • Scores 26 in Game 3 loss
Edwards closed Sunday's 116-107 loss to Dallas in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals with 26 points (11-24 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, nine assists and two steals across 43 minutes.

Advice: Edwards looked more aggressive than in the first two games of the series, but the star guard continues to struggle with his shot, even though he showed some encouraging signs in this one. Edwards has shot a mere 38.6 percent from the field in the series ahead of a pivotal Game 4 in Dallas on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:43 am
    • Anthony Edwards records 26/9/9/2 line on Sunday
Anthony Edwards played 43 minutes in Sunday’s 116-107 loss to the Mavericks, accumulating 26 points (11-of-24 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, nine assists, and two steals.

Advice: Edwards gave Minnesota a much-needed spark during the third quarter, shooting 5-of-10 from the field and scoring ten points. However, he went quiet in the fourth, only attempting three shots (making two) and appearing tired on both ends of the floor. With Karl-Anthony Towns struggling, Edwards shouldered an even heavier workload than usual. With Dallas having Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving to call on, that’s a losing proposition for Minnesota. The Timberwolves will look to extend the series with a win on Tuesday night. Rotoworld May 26, 8:09 pm
