      Jalen Williams (left ankle injury) finished Saturday’s Game 3 loss to the Mavericks with 16 points (7-of-12 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, eight assists, one block, and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

      Advice: Williams injured his ankle during the second half of Saturday’s defeat but was back on the court after a brief spell in the locker room. His return was great news for the Thunder, who have failed to come up with an answer for Dallas’ PJ Washington in the last two games. Washington scoring is one thing, but Oklahoma City’s “supporting cast” has not done enough offensively to support Shai Gilgeous-Alexander properly. Williams’ 16 points were second-most on the team in Game 3, with Chet Holmgren and Isaiah Joe scoring 13.       Advice: Williams was the Thunder's second-best scoring option behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but his solid two-way contributions were not enough to lift Oklahoma City to a 2-0 series lead. Williams has been outstanding in the playoffs and has confirmed the improvements he evidenced during the regular season.       Advice: Having scored 19 points in Oklahoma City’s Game 1 win over Dallas, Holmgren’s production took a significant hit in Game 2. He shot 33.3% from the field, but the good news is that he was able to record six assists. Dallas, with Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II, offers more athleticism in the middle than New Orleans’ Jonas Valanciunas did in the first round. Holmgren can still be effective, as evidenced by his play in Game 1, but it won’t be easy. He’ll look to bounce back in Game 3 on Saturday in Dallas, with the teams tied at 1-all.       Advice: After shooting nearly 53% from the field in Oklahoma City’s four-game sweep of the Pelicans, Williams’ shooting has taken a hit against the Mavericks. Between Derrick Jones Jr. and PJ Washington, Dallas is far better equipped to defend JDub than New Orleans was, which explains why he shot 40.6% from the field in Games 1 and 2. The good news for DFS players is that he’s kept the turnovers in check, committing one in each game. Williams will look to put forth a better effort in Game 3 on Saturday afternoon.       Garland had 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 120-95 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

      Advice: Garland is in line for a rough matchup in this series, as he'll have to deal with two excellent defenders in Jrue Holiday and Derrick White, so his Game 1 display is not entirely surprising. He didn't have his best performances in the first-round series against the Magic either, and he's averaging just 14.8 points and 5.4 assists per game through eight playoff appearances. In fact, Garland has failed to surpass the 15-point mark in six of his eight playoff outings, a clear downgrade after averaging 18.0 points per contest during the regular season.       Advice: Holmgren produced on both ends of the floor, scoring 19 points with five combined steals and blocks. After a stellar rookie season, Holmgren is looking to cement himself as an elite center despite his age.       Advice: Holmgren did a bit of everything in this game, which included plenty of production on the defensive end. After failing to record a defensive stat in their closeout win over the Pelicans, Holmgren got back on track in this one. While the steals and blocks are nice for DFS leagues, his defensive impact goes beyond the box score. Holmgren is a big reason why the Thunder has yet to allow 100 points in a game so far during this postseason. They’ll look to keep that streak going in Game 2 against Dallas on Thursday.
