    • Trevor Booker had 8 & 9 in loss
Trevor Booker had eight points and nine rebounds in 19 minutes off Utah's bench on Wednesday.

Advice: He somehow manages to post decent numbers on most nights, despite having to battle with Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter and Rudy Gobert for minutes. He'll need one of those guys to suffer an injury before you want to think about picking him up. Rotoworld.com

    • Enes Kanter leads Jazz with 21-11-1
Enes Kanter came through with 21 points, 11 rebounds and a block in Wednesday's loss to the Clippers.

Advice: The Jazz controlled much of this game, but fell apart late as the Clippers cruised by them for their 13th straight win over Utah. As much as Rudy Gobert continues to threaten Kanter's playing time, but big man just won't give way. Kanter is hot again, scoring 20-plus points in four of his last five games and averaging 19.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 0.4 blocks over that stretch. Sure, you can be mad at him for a lack of blocked shots, but the rest of his numbers are pretty impressive. Rudy Gobert was in foul trouble early and played just 10 minutes, but Kanter's strong play lately is going to make it tough for Gobert to get heavy minutes. Rotoworld.com

    • Gordon Hayward cools off in loss to Clips
Gordon Hayward hit just 4-of-13 shots and was 0-for-5 from downtown for 11 points, four rebounds, five assists and two blocks in Wednesday's tough loss to the Clippers.

Advice: Had he brought his A Game tonight, the Jazz probably would have won. Hayward is having a great season and tonight was just 'one of those nights.' He'll bounce back in the next one. Rotoworld.com

    • Matt Barnes scores 14 in comeback win
Matt Barnes had 14 points, five rebounds, an assist, a steal, a block and two 3-pointers in Wednesday's comeback win over the Jazz.

Advice: The Clips have now won 13 straight versus the Jazz and Barnes played well tonight, despite an abdominal issue. He scored 18 points in his previous game and while he's inconsistent at times, he's been playing much better over the last month than he was earlier in the season. Rotoworld.com

    • Kris Humphries double-doubles vs. Phoenix
Kris Humphries drew a start against the Suns on Wednesday with 11 points, 15 rebounds and one assist.

Advice: Nene (foot) did not play and it's possible he'll miss more time. Humphries fares well in his starts, averaging 8.2 points, 7.3 boards and 0.9 steals in his previous 15. Plus, several of those were with Nene active. If you need a low-ceiling big man, give him a look. For what it's worth, we'd cut Nene for Hump. Rotoworld.com

    • Al Jefferson starts, plays 35 minutes
Al Jefferson scored 17 points in the starting lineup against the Spurs on Wednesday during a 95-86 loss, adding 16 boards, one assist and one steal in 35 minutes.

Advice: DeMarcus Cousins is the only starting center with a higher usage rate than Al Jefferson, but Big Al might give DMC a run for his money there while Kemba Walker (knee) is out. Although, the injuries are piling up for Jefferson, so he'll be a volatile property. He's a must-start player while active, obviously. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson doesn't score in 20 minutes
Lance Stephenson failed to score on his five attempts from the field against the Spurs on Wednesday with four rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and four turnovers.

Advice: Born Ready needs a resurrection. He's made just 34.5 percent from the field since his return to the lineup, averaging just 7.0 points, 4.9 assists, 3.3 boards, 2.6 turnovers and 0.0 treys. What's more, Stephenson is made just 15.2 percent from beyond three feet in that span. There is upside, but it's too hard to start him right now. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 10:25 pm
    • Reggie Jackson scores 13 in loss to Knicks
Reggie Jackson hit 6-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer for 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals in Wednesday's loss to the Knicks.

Advice: Jackson had 14 points and three steals in his previous game, but scored just two points in the one prior to that. He's been unreliable coming off the Thunder bench, but could be heating up, especially if Kevin Durant continues to miss games with his toe injury. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:58 pm
    • Zach LaVine scores 17 points on nine FGAs
Zach LaVine had his best game of 2015 against the Celtics on Wednesday, making 7-of-9 from the field for 17 points with four rebounds, six assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He was in complete control in his 22nd NBA start. LaVine only made 39.0 percent from the field in his previous starts, so this efficient line comes as a huge surprise. Mo Williams (personal, hip) and Ricky Rubio (ankle) should be back soon, so it's hard to grab LaVine in standard leagues as anything more than a stop-gap guy. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:54 pm
    • Kevin Martin scores 21 points in return
Kevin Martin returned from a wrist injury on Wednesday against the Celtics, scoring 21 points with four rebounds, one assist and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes.

Advice: He was better than expected and really turned it on after a slow start tonight. Martin was on fire before his injury with a 37-point game in his last outing and a 34-point one before that, so he should be owned in all leagues following this game. Although, his fantasy owners should consider selling high once he solidifies his value. Rotoworld.com

    • Josh Smith does it all without Dwight Howard
Josh Smith racked up 18 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal, three blocks and four 3-pointers on 7-of-13 shooting in Wednesday's win over the Mavs.

Advice: As an added bonus, he didn't attempt any free throws, which means he didn't hurt you there. Normally, we'd say it's time to hit the phones and deal Smith before he comes down to earth, but with Dwight Howard no iffy going forward with edema in his right knee (fluid buildup), Smith could be ready to go on a nice run. Just don't expect him to be this good on most nights. Rotoworld.com

    • Donatas Motiejunas scores 16 w/o Dwight
Donatas Motiejunas started and had 16 points, five rebounds, a steals and two 3-pointers on 6-of-16 shooting in Wednesday's win over Dallas.

Advice: Dwight Howard has edema in his right knee (fluid buildup) and could miss time, meaning that D-Mo, Josh Smith and Terrence Jones (he's back) should all be owned until we find out more details about Howard's return date. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:24 pm
    • Al-Farouq Aminu blocks career-high 6 shots
Al-Farouq Aminu came off the bench for 10 points, seven rebounds, three steals and a career-high six blocks on 2-of-7 shooting in 29 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: The last time we blurbed him was back on Jan. 4, which should tell you how he's been playing. This was easily his best game of the season and there's no reason to pick him up, unless he starts making noise on a nightly basis. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:21 pm
    • Marcus Smart scores 12 in decent line
Marcus Smart scored 12 points on 4-of-7 from the field against the Wolves on Wednesday with two rebounds, six assists and four 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

Advice: He continues to shoot the ball well from beyond the arc and is now above 36 percent from that range on the season. Smart's playing time hasn't come around with minutes in the upper 20s, but the steals, dimes and treys have been there. He has been inside the top 100 in the previous month even before this game, so he's worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:17 pm
    • Greivis Vasquez steps up with 18 points
Greivis Vasquez started at shooting guard again and had 18 points, four rebounds, six assists, a steal and four 3-pointers on 7-of-9 shooting in 31 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: After a slow start to his starting tenure, Vasquez has hit double digits in scoring in three of his last four games, and is averaging 10.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.2 3-pointers over his last five. And that includes a dud of three points on 1-of-8 shooting a week ago. If you need a shooting guard and Mario Chalmers isn't available, think about grabbing Vasquez. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 9:01 pm
    • Kevin Martin (wrist) to come off the bench
Kevin Martin (wrist) will come off the bench on Wednesday against the Celtics.

Advice: It will be his first game back since November and he might see some limited playing time. Martin will likely bump Andrew Wiggins over to small forward, which may cut minutes Thaddeus Young,, Gorgui Dieng and Nikola Pekovic. Martin should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 3:45 pm
    • Matt Barnes will play vs. Jazz on Wednesday
Matt Barnes (abdomen) said he will play against the Jazz on Wednesday.

Advice: Back on Sunday, Barnes had a wrap around his waist during warmups. This wasn't reported by the team until he aggravated it on Monday. He should get minutes as long as he's able to play, so give him a look in standard leagues. Plus, this should be an up-tempo game. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 12:41 pm
    • Kevin Martin (questionable) expects to play
Kevin Martin (wrist) is expected to make his return to the lineup against the Celtics on Wednesday.

Advice: He's not a complete lock because the team will want to see how he performs in pre-game workouts, and he's technically questionable to play. Most signs do point to him playing despite an earlier report today. Martin has been doing a lot of non-contact work and missed some practice over the weekend. He's someone worth grabbing in standard leagues. Meanwhile, it should be interesting to see what happens with the other starters. Andrew Wiggins may slide to the small forward spot, which would bump Gorgui Dieng or Thaddeus Young from the starting unit. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 11:17 am
    • Al Jefferson to start on Wednesday vs. Spurs
Al Jefferson will join the starting lineup for Wednesday's game vs. the Spurs.

Advice: The Hornets have been bringing Big Al off the bench in order to ease him into action since returning from a groin injury, but Bismack Biyombo's knee injury changed their stance. With an increase in minutes, Jefferson should be considered a must-start option in all formats from here on out. Rotoworld.com
      Yesterday, 6:43 am
    • Thunder still undecided on Reggie Jackson
The Thunder are reportedly still weighing the pros and cons of trading Reggie Jackson.

Advice: It's not surprising to see the Thunder considering a trade, as Jackson is going to become a restricted free agent in the Summer and they might not be able to afford him. The addition of Dion Waiters only made things worse, as Jackson's minutes have been trending down and he has reportedly had some issues with some of his teammates. Nothing is certain at the moment, but owners in most leagues should consider stashing Jackson for now in the hope that he is traded before the Feb. 19 deadline. Rotoworld.com

    • Kris Humphries solid again in win vs. Lakers
Kris Humphries followed up Sunday's big double-double with eight points, 11 rebounds and one steal in 26 minutes vs. the Lakers on Tuesday.

Advice: His typical production is somewhat below the extremes of this game and Sunday, when he exploded for 21 points and 14 boards. He's still worth a look for low-end production in deeper leagues, and should be on everyone's radar given the injury history of starting PF Nene. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 10:15 pm
    • Greivis Vasquez quiet in 28 minutes vs Pacers
Greivis Vasquez played 28 minutes on Tuesday but had only seven points, four rebounds and four assists in the Raptors' 104-91 victory.

Advice: He shot 2-of-6 from the field and has taken more than 10 shots just three times in January. DeMar DeRozan's return has ensured that Vasquez's usage rate won't improve despite his newly-minted starting job. Consider him a low-end option who can help with 3-pointers and assists, but little else. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 6:53 pm
    • Matt Barnes fined $25k for cursing at a fan
Matt Barnes was fined $25,000 on Tuesday for "directing inappropriate language toward a fan" during Sunday's game vs. Suns.

Advice: He had some choice words for a fan after receiving a technical foul during Sunday's game, and this is nothing new for Barnes. In fantasy related news, Barnes left Monday's game against the Nuggets with an abdominal strain, and he is expected to be re-evaluated on Wednesday. If Barnes is forced to sit, Jamal Crawford would be the primary beneficiary. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 1:23 pm
    • Kevin Martin (wrist) will not play Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Kevin Martin (wrist) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Martin was able to resume shooting workouts on Monday after having fluid drained from his surgically-repaired wrist last week, but he will remain sidelined for Wednesday's game. He's likely going to be eased back into the rotation upon his return, so owners will need to remain patient. However, he still offers enough upside to be worth holding onto in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 12:17 pm
    • Kevin Martin hopes to play vs BOS on Weds
Kevin Martin returned to shooting workouts on Monday and is hopeful that he'll be able to play against the Celtics on Wednesday.

Advice: This is the first time that Martin has been able to shoot since he had fluid drained from his surgicallyrepaired wrist nearly a week ago. "It feels better now than it did when I started practicing two weeks ago," said Martin, out since November. "Getting it drained helps a lot. I’ll give it one more hard day of practice and see how I feel." We'll update Martin's status after Wednesday's shootaround, but his eventual return will cut into the production of Mo Williams, Thaddeus Young, and Andrew Wiggins. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 9:10 am
    • Matt Barnes dealing with abdominal strain
Matt Barnes left Monday's game against the Nuggets with an abdominal strain.

Advice: Barnes suffered the strain in the fourth quarter of Monday's win and will be looked at again on Wednesday. Head coach Doc Rivers said the team won't panic if Barnes misses any time, so we'll have to update this situation as more news becomes available. If Barnes misses any games, Jamal Crawford would see the biggest boost in his fantasy value. Rotoworld.com
      Tuesday, 6:48 am
    • Barnes gets back on track against the Nugs
Matt Barnes hit 7-of-11 shots (including two threes) for 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in Monday's win over the Nuggets.

Advice: Barnes hit just 1-of-9 shots on Sunday and bouncing back nicely owners have to be fairly happy about their pickup. He has been dealing with an ab strain but didn't show any signs of it tonight, as he sits on a month of top 40-60 production. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 10:13 pm
    • Hayward goes off in loss to the Celtics
Gordon Hayward scored 26 points on 7-of-17 shooting (including four threes) with six rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks in Monday's home loss to the Celtics.

Advice: Hayward hit 8-of-12 free throws and pushes his value up to top 25-40 levels after this voluminous effort. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 9:12 pm
    • Smart posts low-end line in return to action
Marcus Smart (personal) returned to action on Monday, scoring nine points on 4-of-9 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, five assists and one steal in 29 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Evan Turner is getting his thumb X-rayed and independent of that Smart should be owned in most standard formats. If he isn't, you'd have to be pretty stacked not to take a chance on him. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 8:50 pm
    • Reggie Jackson plays well with Durant out
Reggie Jackson played well with Kevin Durant out on Monday, scoring 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, two assists and three steals in 26 minutes off the bench.

Advice: The Durant absence is an obvious caveat and this isn't a line you're going to write home about anyway. The only real reason to hold Jackson is as a trade deadline stash, and owners should probably give a trade a 50/50 chance at this time and that might be optimistic. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 8:42 pm
    • LaVine could play a lot on Wednesday
Zach LaVine scored 11 points on 3-of-9 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Advice: LaVine could see some starter's minutes on Wednesday if Mo Williams (hip) doesn't play, but he hasn't proven worthwhile even as a spot-starter in standard leagues this season. Give him a look in DFS leagues, though. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 8:37 pm
    • Marcus Smart is available for Monday
Marcus Smart is available to play against the Jazz on Monday.

Advice: He missed Sunday due to a death in the family and should be ready to roll. Smart's minutes haven't increased in the past couple weeks and he seems to be held to around 30. There's still enough upside to keep him owned in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 4:32 pm
    • Update: Kevin Martin now out on Monday
Updating a previous item, Kevin Martin (wrist) is now out on Monday.

Advice: To say this is a surprise would be like saying the snow hitting the East Coast today would be a surprise. We knew this was coming, and it was just a matter of time. Andrew Wiggins, Mo Williams and Thaddeus Young will again be asked to carry the Timberwolves offense. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 9:56 am
    • Kevin Martin questionable to suit up Monday
Kevin Martin (wrist) is questionable to play on Monday against the Thunder.

Advice: Martin has been listed as questionable since last week, so there hasn't necessarily been a change in his status. On a seven-win team that's prioritizing rebuilding, Martin appears to be taking his time to return from his wrist injury. The Wolves should have incentive to get him on the floor to showcase him for a potential trade, but not much reason beyond that. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 8:26 am
    • Marcus Smart expected to play on Monday
Marcus Smart (personal) is expected to play on Monday against the Jazz.

Advice: Smart had a death in the family, but he is expected back after a one-game absence. Smart is starting to carve out some fantasy value, but his development will be inconsistent. He's a solid stash for owners who can afford to have a little patience. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 7:06 am
    • Zach LaVine returned to action on Sunday January 25. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 11:26 pm
    • Josh Smith solid in 25 minutes vs LAK defense
Josh Smith chipped in across the board in an easy win vs. the Lakers, scoring 11 points with one 3-pointer, five rebounds, one assist, two steals, two blocks and one turnover in 25 minutes vs. L.A.

Advice: Smith has been nowhere near standard-league value since coming to Houston, especially when you factor in his ridiculous 36.7 percent FT shooting over the past month. Terrence Jones' eventual return is another threat to Smith, so don't let the occasional efficient performance lull you into wasting a roster spot on him. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 9:01 pm
    • Kris Humphries posts 21 & 14 in OT road win
Kris Humphries was phenomenal in 33 minutes vs. the Nuggets, scoring a season-high 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting with 14 rebounds and one assist.

Advice: Humphries per-minute production has been impressive all season, and he was playing too well tonight for coach Randy Wittman to take him off the court. He's a borderline option in 14-team leagues but belongs on the waiver wire in shallower formats, at least until Nene's next stretch of DNPs. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 8:12 pm
    • Matt Barnes shoots 1-of-9 in easy win vs Suns
Matt Barnes couldn't find the range vs. Phoenix, shooting 1-of-9 from the field for four points in 26 minutes of action.

Advice: He helped fantasy owners in other ways, fortunately, adding five rebounds, two assists and two steals during the Clippers' 120-100 road win. Barnes tends to run hot and cold but overall he's a steady top-100 value with averages of 9.8 points, 1.7 threes, 3.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks, in addition to typically solid FG and FT percentages. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 6:52 pm
    • Kevin Martin (wrist) out Sunday vs. Atlanta
Kevin Martin (wrist) has been ruled out for Sunday's game vs. the Hawks.

Advice: Martin was listed as questionable earlier, but he is still dealing with some swelling in his wrist, so he will not play on Sunday. Robbie Hummel will draw another start on Sunday, but the true beneficiaries of Martin's absence remain Andrew Wiggins and Mo Williams. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 1:58 pm
    • Zach LaVine (elbow) will be available Sunday
Zach LaVine (elbow) will be available for Sunday's game vs. the Hawks.

Advice: With averages of just 8.1 points and 3.5 assists, LaVine can't be considered a viable option in most leagues. Leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 1:40 pm
    • Kevin Martin (wrist) questionable vs. Hawks
Kevin Martin (wrist) is questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Hawks.

Advice: He wasn't able to practice on Saturday and he is reportedly still dealing with some swelling in his wrist, so he is probably closer to doubtful. Martin is still worth a stash for his upside in points and 3-pointers, but his owners will have to be patient as he will likely be eased into action when he does return. If Martin can't play, Robbie Hummel will continue to start for Minnesota, but is only an option in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 10:52 am
    • Zach LaVine (elbow) questionable Sunday
Zach LaVine (elbow) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Hawks.

Advice: He hasn't been relevant in most fantasy leagues since losing his starting spot to Mo Williams, so the eventual return of Ricky Rubio will likely ruin his already limited value. LaVine can be left on the wire. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 10:51 am
    • Lance Stephenson ignoring trade rumors
Lance Stephenson has seen his name pop up in trade rumors all season, but he is doing his best to ignore them in an effort to help Charlotte secure a spot in the playoffs.

Advice: "You can't help but hear stuff," said Stephenson. "I just want to stay focused and stay positive and try to help this team. I'm here, and that's all that matters right now." Stephenson played almost 29 minutes on Saturday which is the most he had played since going down with a pelvis injury, so it looks like he is getting close to 100 percent. While the rumors won't stop until all the way up to the trade deadline, a trade wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing considering how much he has struggled to adapt in Charlotte. Rotoworld.com
      Sunday, 6:05 am
    • Marcus Smart (personal) won't play Sunday
Marcus Smart (personal) will not play against the Warriors on Sunday due to a death in his family.

Advice: He will rejoin the team in Utah for Monday's game. With Smart out, Evan Turner will play most of his minutes at point guard, so that should open up more run for Jae Crowder. Phil Pressey will also get a few more minutes of action. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 7:33 pm
    • Al Jefferson plays 30 minutes, blocks seven
Al Jefferson blocked a season-high seven shots during a 76-71 win over the Knicks on Saturday, adding nine points, six rebounds and one turnover on 4-of-14 from the field in 30 minutes.

Advice: He started the second half because of the injury to Bismack Biyombo (knee). Jefferson didn't quite look like his old self and had some trouble establishing position on the low block on offense, but he obviously played well on defense with his seven blocks. The Hornets are off for a few days, so it would be a good bet that Big Al starts in his next game. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 7:04 pm
    • Lance Stephenson battles groin injury
Lance Stephenson played 29 minutes off the bench against the Knicks on Saturday with six points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Advice: He was laboring through his groin strain throughout the first half and finally got into a rhythm in the second half. Stephenson ran the offense tonight with Kemba Walker (knee) out and it resembled his style of play in Indiana. Walker won't be out long, so Stephenson's adjustment period should continue. He's a fringe player to own in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 7:02 pm
    • Zach LaVine (elbow) misses practice
Zach LaVine (elbow) missed practice on Saturday.

Advice: His minutes have dropped off significantly and he would usually play around 12 minutes in non-blowout games. LaVine is not worth owning in most leagues and we'll pass along any other info on his elbow injury soon. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 2:54 pm
    • Al Jefferson coming off the bench again
Al Jefferson will come off the bench again on Saturday vs. the Knicks.

Advice: He looked good with 22 points and 11 boards on Friday, but the Hornets are just being careful. The Hornets will start Brian Roberts, Gerald Henderson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo. Jefferson is safe to start in standard leagues, but is a little risky for DFS. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 2:22 pm
    • Smart plays just 14 minutes on Friday
Marcus Smart played just 14 minutes off the bench on Friday, scoring four points on 1-of-2 (including a three) with three assists and five fouls.

Advice: Smart's fouls were an issue and Brad Stevens is a bit of a card with rotations, but it would be surprising if Smart isn't running the show after the All Star break, or at least logging starter's minutes. He's a solid stash until further notice. Rotoworld.com
      Saturday, 1:16 am
    • Donatas Motiejunas scores 15 points
Donatas Motiejunas scored 15 points with six rebounds, one steal and one turnover in 23 minutes against the Suns on Friday.

Advice: He shifted to the center spot with Dwight Howard (ankle) out and that'll continue. If Howard misses time, that should help D-Mo's numbers overall. He is worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 10:34 pm
    • Jackson plays 25 minutes against the Hawks
Reggie Jackson scored seven points on 3-of-8 shooting with four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: The line isn't bad but he's having to stretch hard to produce anything workable in fantasy leagues. He's not going to be a guy that owners want to rely on if he's in OKC, and the best we can call him is a stash in the hopes he gets moved by the trade deadline. Rotoworld.com
      Friday, 8:55 pm
    • Lance Stephenson hands out nine dimes
Lance Stephenson handed out nine assists against the Cavs on Friday with 10 points, and four boards in 26 minutes.

Advice: He didn't play as poorly as some of his teammates, but Stephenson is still out of sync with his new team. He's not a must-own player and it might be a few more weeks until he is start-worthy in standard leagues. Stephenson also didn't blow into LeBron James' ear tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Al Jefferson scores 22 points with 11 boards
Al Jefferson scored 22 points with 11 rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 24 minutes against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: He was really the only positive tonight and the Hornets will probably take the minutes cap off soon. It sounded like he could be coming off the bench for one more game, but that might change considering how awful the Hornets were tonight. He's worth starting in season-long leagues and it won't be long until we can trust him in DFS. Rotoworld.com

    • Al Jefferson, Lance Stephenson won't start
Al Jefferson and Lance Stephenson will come off the bench against the Cavs on Friday.

Advice: Bismack Biyombo and Gerald Henderson will start again. Jefferson played just 19 minutes on Wednesday and he'll likely be in that neighborhood tonight. Biyombo is still not a reliable fantasy option. Rotoworld.com

    • Marcus Smart doesn't score in 27 minutes
Marcus Smart did not score in 27 minutes against the Blazers on Thursday, adding three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Advice: All five of his misses came from beyond six feet of the basket and that's still something he'll have to work on. Smart does have 2.0 steals and 0.8 turnovers per game in his last four while he's been able to play at least 27 minutes for each of his last seven games since the Jeff Green deal. He's worth owning in standard leagues and it won't be long before he's starting. Rotoworld.com

    • Gordon Hayward scores 24 points vs. Bucks
Gordon Hayward carried the Jazz down the stretch during a 101-99 win on Thursday in Milwaukee with 24 points, six rebounds, six assists, two steals, two 3-pointers and six turnovers in 35 minutes.

Advice: His numbers have been trending down on the season, so this big game was nice to see. In fact, Hayward's points and rebounds have decreased in each of the last three months of the season. The Jazz will get to host the struggling Nets on Saturday, so expect Hayward to have success again. Rotoworld.com

    • Enes Kanter scores 23 points with 16 boards
Enes Kanter scored 23 points against the Bucks on Thursday with 16 boards, two steals and one block in 36 minutes.

Advice: He stepped up with Derrick Favors (personal) not in the lineup today and had a double-double in the first half. Kanter had a 24-17 line on Wednesday against the Cavs, but he was floundering before that over his previous two with averages of 5.5 points and 3.5 boards. Kanter was not a top-125 player in the previous two weeks before this game and Rudy Gobert is not going away, so Kanter's owners will want to try and sell high off this two-game outburst. • Marcus Smart being groomed for leading role
Celtics management is hoping that Marcus Smart can grow into a leadership role for the team.

Advice: After trading Rajon Rondo, the Celtics have been slowly developing Smart to be more of a leader. "He’s doing a good job of playing well, of handling success and adversity. Those are all precursors to being a leader," said Stevens. "When you’re a young person you have to earn that kind of respect with your approach. It’s not even your play, it’s your approach." Smart is averaging 8.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.8 three-points over his last give games and is worth a flier in standard leagues as his playing times continues to increase. • Josh Smith ejected in Wednesday's loss
Josh Smith lasted just 14 minutes and finished with five points before being ejected with two technical fouls in Wednesday's ugly loss to the Warriors.

Advice: Smith thought he got fouled when he banged knees with a Warrior, and later tore into the referees. It kind of looked like he wanted to go home early in a blowout loss, as he continues to do "Josh Smith" kind of things, regardless of what uniform he's wearing. He's been a bit of a disaster with the Rockets and things aren't likely to get better once Terrence Jones finally returns from his leg injury. Rotoworld.com

    • Donatas Motiejunas disappears in loss
Donatas Motiejunas hit just 2-of-8 shots for four points, three rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's loss to the Warriors.

Advice: That snapped a 12-game streak of double-digit scoring for D-Mo and he's been rebounding the ball well. He's still averaging 13.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals in January, and the Rockets just didn't have it going against the Dubs tonight. And once Terrence Jones finally returns, things could get a little dicey in regards to Motiejunas. Rotoworld.com

    • Greivis Vasquez shoots 1-of-8 in start vs MEM
Greivis Vasquez started Wednesday's game in Memphis, but finished with only three points on 1-of-8 shooting in the Raptors' road loss.

Advice: Vasquez logged 22 minutes and he's been underwhelming since overtaking Terrence Ross for a starting job. He chipped in two steals tonight and deep-league owners may find him to be a worthwhile gamble, but everyone should avoid him while Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, James Johnson and Ross are all healthy. • Enes Kanter goes off for 24 & 17 in start
Enes Kanter started on Wednesday and hit 9-of-20 shots for 24 points and 17 rebounds.

Advice: No, he doesn't block shots and yes, Rudy Gobert has been stalking him all season long, but his coach (Quin Snyder) is sticking with Kanter in the starting lineup and he's had enough big games this season to be cut some slack. Kanter was benched in the second half against the Spurs on Sunday, but it was for matchup purposes. While Rudy Gobert remains a "nice to own" player, Kanter looks like the starter for the rest of this season. Rotoworld.com

    • Lance Stephenson too quiet in win over Heat
Lance Stephenson played 22 minutes on Wednesday but had just four points, three rebounds, four assists and four turnovers on 2-of-4 shooting.

Advice: Stephenson's disastrous season continues now that he's healthy again and it's just tough to tell if he's ever going to get it going. But the way he's played up to this point, he's simply not a must-own player. Rotoworld.com

    • Al Jefferson quiet again off bench
Al Jefferson came off the bench again and hit 6-of-11 shots for 12 points, four rebounds, a steal and two blocks in 19 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: He's still on a minutes restriction due to his groin injury, but is slowly working his way back toward the starting lineup. If there are no setbacks, plan on getting him back in your weekly lineup next week. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 7:18 pm
    • Al Jefferson to come off the bench again
Al Jefferson is expected to play 16-18 minutes off the bench against the Heat on Wednesday.

Advice: He played 25 minutes in his return on Monday and did play in garbage time. Jefferson won't see many more minutes tonight, but he's still a decent bet for a double-double. Bismack Biyombo is far too risky to use even with Miami being shorthanded. Rotoworld.com
      Wednesday, 11:17 am
    • Enes Kanter will remain in starting lineup
Coach Quin Snyder emphatically stated that Enes Kanter will remain in the starting lineup despite the impressive play of Rudy Gobert.

Advice: It's puzzling as to why coach Synder is so adamant on sticking with Kanter, as it is become painfully obvious that the Jazz are simply a better team when Gobert is on the floor. Kanter was benched during the second half of Sunday's game, and even though he will remain the starter, Gobert will threaten his playing time every night. We will continue to monitor this situation very closely. Rotoworld.com

    • Reggie Jackson scores 16 points on 7-of-9 FGs
Reggie Jackson caught fire in 26 minutes vs. the Heat on Tuesday, making 7-of-9 shots to finish with 16 points, two 3-pointers, two rebounds and one assist in OKC's road win.

Advice: Dion Waiters was struggling so Jackson stayed on the court down the stretch, and the two backup guards are liable to frustrate owners by alternating explosive games with flat-out duds. A trade would send Jackson's value sky-rocketing, but he's averaging 21.4 minutes in January and is a marginal option until further notice. Rotoworld.com

    • Vasquez posts low-end line in start
Greivis Vasquez started at shooting guard in Monday's win, scoring 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting with two rebounds, three assists and one triple in 31 minutes of action.

Advice: Vasquez isn't a good bet to produce more than this with the Raptors at full strength so he's only worth a look in deeper formats. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 9:51 pm
    • Motiejunas posts popcorn line in blowout win
Donatas Motiejunas scored 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting with nine rebounds and four assists over 34 minutes in Monday's blowout win over the Pacers.

Advice: Motie did not have any money counting stats (3PTs, STLs, BLKs) and that takes a lot of the shine off this line. He's going to have his work cut out for him whenever Terrence Jones returns, but he has been playing at a mid-round level for a few weeks and owners should ride him all the way to the edge of the cliff. Monday, 7:59 pm
    • Smith has another bad fantasy outing
Josh Smith hit just 3-of-11 shots for six points, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 27 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Advice: Smith missed both of his 3-pointers and his only free throw to boot. He has played well below the cut line in most standard leagues and owners can leave him on the wire. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 7:57 pm
    • Greivis Vasquez will start Monday vs. Bucks
Greivis Vasquez will draw the start over Terrence Ross for Monday's game against the Bucks.

Advice: Vasquez made five previous starts this season when DeMar DeRozan was injured, and averaged 12.2 points and 4.8 assists on 44 percent shooting during that span. While coach Dwane Casey didn't indicate whether or not the move was permanent, Vasquez is worth a look in most leagues as longs as he holds onto the starting spot. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 4:19 pm
    • Matt Barnes has a bad game vs. Boston
Matt Barnes cooled off against the Celtics on Monday with three points, three rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

Advice: Besides the empty scoring, it's a solid line from Barnes. He came in red hot with a 26-point game on Saturday and the minutes are still there for Barnes, so there's no need to worry. He is worth owning in standard leagues with less competition for his minutes. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 3:47 pm
    • Marcus Smart has terrific game, scores 14
Marcus Smart had his best game of 2015 against the Clippers during a 102-93 loss on Monday, scoring 14 points with two rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Advice: He matched his career high with treys and dimes while providing some solid defense on Chris Paul. Smart's minutes have remained consistently near 30 since the departure of Jeff Green and he has fared well in the dimes, steals and treys categories. His offense is showing signs of life and he's worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 3:43 pm
    • Lance Stephenson makes 2-of-9 from the field
Lance Stephenson made 2-of-9 from the field for eight points with four rebounds, nine assists and one block in 27 minutes against the Wolves on Monday.

Advice: In today's game, Lance was 2-of-4 at the rim and didn't make his other five shots. Stephenson dropped his season field goal shooting to just 38.2 percent from the field and there is no end in sight for his sub-par shooting. He's OK to use in points leagues, but he's not a must-own player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
      Monday, 2:16 pm
    • Al Jefferson plays 25 minutes in return
Al Jefferson played 25 minutes in his return to the lineup against the Wolves on Monday with eight points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

Advice: He didn't move around great, but the Hornets allowed him to play in garbage time and let him attempt 11 shots from the field. Jefferson figures to be around 25-28 minutes again on Wednesday against the Heat. He's been a little injury prone, so his owners can at least consider trying to flip him now that he's active. • Surprise: Al Jefferson will return on Monday
In a surprise, Al Jefferson (groin) will return on Monday against the Timberwolves.

Advice: Jefferson was thought to have a shot to return on Wednesday, but he's back early for the Hornets. He will come off the bench in his first game back and play between 14-16 minutes, so Bismack Biyombo will continue to start for now. As long as Jefferson gets through his first game back without issues, he should return to his normal role as a starter shortly thereafter. He'll need to get his conditioning under him after a lengthy layoff, so keep in mind that process could take a handful of games. Rotoworld.com
