  • Khris Middleton (leg) posts 15/5/6 line in Game 2
    Khris Middleton (right leg) amassed 15 points (6-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Pacers.

    Advice: Middleton, who missed some time toward the end of the regular season due to left ankle injury management, appeared to tweak something in his right leg during the first quarter of Tuesday’s defeat. The good news for the Bucks is that said issue did not significantly impact his playing time, but Middleton’s health is of even greater importance with Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) sidelined. With Patrick Beverley (5/4/3/1/2 in 34 minutes) on the court for defensive reasons, Milwaukee essentially played 4-on-5 in Game 2, and that’s even more difficult to do with Giannis out.     Advice: McDaniels shone in the victory, leading all scorers with 25 points. Known for his defensive abilities, it was on the offensive end that he did his damage.     Devin Booker logged 42 minutes in Tuesday’s 105-93 loss to the Timberwolves, accumulating 20 points (6-of-13 FGs, 7-of-8 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer.

    Advice: Booker fouled out of Game 2, but the outcome was no longer in doubt at that point. He did lead the Suns in scoring, but, as was the case in the series opener on Saturday, efficiency was a problem. Booker committing six turnovers was more concerning than the field-goal percentage, with the Suns recording 19 as a team. Bradley Beal wasn’t much better, as he was responsible for four to go along with 14 points (6-of-17 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, and two 3-pointers in 42 minutes.     Advice: Having sprained his right ankle in Game 1 on Saturday, Allen was initially questionable for Tuesday’s game. Unfortunately, he rolled the ankle early in the third quarter while attempting to block a shot. While the Suns announced that Allen was questionable to return, he never did. The concern now is potential swelling as the team flies to Phoenix for Game 3 on Friday, and Allen may not be a lock to play. Add in his usual defensive play, which frustrated Devin Booker occasionally, and this was McDaniels’ most impactful postseason performance.
