    • Pekovic, Martin both questionable on Monday
Nikola Pekovic (ankle) and Kevin Martin (illness) are both questionable to play on Monday against the Clippers.

Advice: Pekovic did not participate in shootaround, and he'll warmup before the game to see if he can give it a go. It doesn't sound promising even if he plays, so Gorgui Dieng should remain very ready, and he'd be the most obvious candidate to benefit without the big man. As for Martin, his illness is out of nowhere, so if he doesn't play, Andrew Wiggins will be an even greater point of emphasis with Gary Neal possibly joining the starting lineup. Rotoworld.com

Kris Humprhies (groin) is still unable to move laterally.

Advice: Humphries missed Saturday's game against the Pistons, his second consecutive on the sidelines. It doesn't sound like he's all that close to a return, meaning Drew Gooden and Kevin Seraphin will earn extra minutes behind Marcin Gortat and Nene. Rotoworld.com

    • Scott rips Lakers bigs after loss to Thunder
Byron Scott criticized the Lakers big men after their loss to the Thunder on Sunday, saying that "all our bigs got pretty much outplayed tonight."

Advice: "I guess you got to get in the weight room. Some of it is a mindset. You have to understand who you’re playing against and have to be aggressive as well. If they’re hitting you, you have to fight fire with fire sometimes." Scott's tough-guy stance has worn down as the long season has moved forward, but Jordan Hill once again accepted accountability. It would be nice if some of his teammates followed suit. Rotoworld.com

    • Tyson Chandler, Chandler Parsons out Monday
Tyson Chandler (hip) and Chandler Parsons (ankle) are both out against the Pelicans.

Advice: The Mavericks could once again go small with Dirk Nowitzki at center while starting J.J. Barea alongside both Rajon Rondo and Monta Ellis in the backcourt, but it's also conceivable the team goes with a more traditional look and starts Bernard James at center. As for Parsons, Richard Jefferson should once again draw the start, and he's averaging 10.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 triples over eight games (29 minutes in that role). Rotoworld.com

    • Agent: Monroe will consider Pistons in FA
Greg Monroe's agent David Falk said Monroe will "absolutely" consider re-signing with the Pistons in free agency.

Advice: What Falk didn't say, however, is how long Monroe would consider the possibility. Falk added that Monroe made the decision to pursue signing the qualifying offer, calling him "one of the brightest clients I've ever represented." The Monroe-Andre Drummond frontline has worked out much better ever since Josh Smith's departure, but it's still hard to envision a scenario where the Pistons commit big money to the Moose, especially if the club intends to extend restricted free agent Reggie Jackson. Monroe will be free to sign anywhere this summer. Rotoworld.com

    • Kelly Olynyk (ankle) still without timetable
Kelly Olynyk (ankle) is making progress, but there is no timetable for his return.

Advice: "I’m just letting it play out," he said. "It’s tough. It’s real tough. . . . The fact that you could go probably, but you just want to make sure you’re helping your team; you’re not a detriment. You know, you can do the things you want to do out there." Although he's progressing, it doesn't like sound the Celtics or Olynyk are rushing his return. • Luis Scola adjusting to bench role for Pacers
Luis Scola explained that his adjustment to coming off the bench has been easier this season.

Advice: Hampered last season by a sore shooting elbow, Scola is now comfortable and healthy. "It took me a little while to get used to (playing off the bench)," he said. "When you have a consistent role you get to know what your team is going to do and they know how you play and you know when you're going to get into the game and how many minutes you play," he added. Scola got some run with the starters early this year when David West (ankle) was out, and it's benefiting him nicely now. In unrelated news, Scola had a red welt on his knee after Sunday's win, but it's not expected to be an issue. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan says Spurs confidence is shot
Tim Duncan said that the Spurs "need to be confident," adding that it's been "shot for a while."

Advice: Duncan didn't leave much to guess about with his words. "We’re going to start building it back and winning some games. That’s the only way it’s going to come," Duncan added. Now with two straight wins after four straight losses, the Spurs will look to take advantage of a soft week that includes the Kings, Nuggets and Bulls. Rotoworld.com

    • Gibson (ankle) to miss at least 1 more week
Taj Gibson (ankle) is expected to be sidelined for at least another week.

Advice: Not good. Gibson's ankle sprain is clearly serious, and Gibson has a history of playing through ankle injuries, so we know it must be bothering the big man. The Bulls play four times this week, so if Gibson misses all of those contests, Nikola Mirotic will continue to see big minutes off the bench with Chicago leaning a little harder on both Pau Gasol and Joakim Noah. • Marreese Speights a healthy DNP-CD Sunday
Marreese Speights was a healthy DNP-CD vs. the Celtics on Sunday.

Advice: Boston went very small with their second unit, deploying Jonas Jerebko at center, so the matchups didn't favor Speights at all. He's averaging just 13 minutes over Golden State's past 10 games and has no fantasy upside while Andrew Bogut, David Lee and Draymond Green are healthy. Rotoworld.com

    • Report: 76ers agree to waive JaVale McGee
The 76ers have agreed to waive JaVale McGee in time for him to sign with a playoff contender, according to USA Today's Sam Amick.

Advice: Philadelphia will reportedly pay McGee the full amount he's owed, including a $12 million payout next season, and he's likely to sign a minimum deal to give a playoff-bound team more frontcourt depth. He's not a fantasy asset no matter where he lands after clearing waivers. Yahoo! Sports reports there are 10 teams that have already expressed interest, but that would mean a third of the NBA, and we're not buying that. Rotoworld.com

J.J. Hickson resumed a backup role vs. New Orleans on Sunday, scoring six points on 3-of-11 shooting while grabbing 10 rebounds in just 16 minutes.

Advice: He also blocked a shot and was extremely active when on the court, but the value-killing lack of playing time has become common-place for Hickson. He's averaging 13.4 minutes since Feb. 20 and belongs on the waiver wire in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Hill double-doubles in loss to OKC
Jordan Hill logged a double-double in a 101-108 loss to the Thunder on Sunday, scoring 14 points with 12 boards, two assists and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.

Advice: It was actually his first made 3-pointer of his career (he was 0-of-12 prior to tonight's game), but his owners shouldn't expect to see that happen again anytime soon. Since returning from a hip injury that cost him five games on the sidelines, Hill has averaged 13.2 points, 7.8 boards, 1.4 assists and 0.8 blocks per game, and it's clear that the All-Star break did wonders for his tired legs. If you need a big man, Hill is more than worth a look, especially as his minutes start to ramp up again. Rotoworld.com

Luis Scola led the Pacers' second unit on Sunday with 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in just 19 minutes of action.

Advice: The 76ers yield monster games to role players with regularity, so view Scola's big night in context. Scoring and rebounding are Scola's strong-suits, and those two categories are the only reasons to own him in deep fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • JaVale McGee buyout looking less likely
JaVale McGee, who has been mentioned in buyout rumors, finished Sunday's road loss with three points, one rebound and one block in eight minutes off the 76ers bench.

Advice: McGee said before the game that he wasn't aware of any talks with Sixers management, and a buyout is now reportedly "unlikely." He won't be eligible for the playoffs if he's waived after midnight on Sunday, so a buyout would be implausible if it doesn't happen very soon. Rotoworld.com

    • Roy Hibbert piles up 14 & 15 w/ five blocks
Roy Hibbert racked up 14 points, 15 rebounds, two steals and five blocks in Sunday's easy win vs. the 76ers.

Advice: Philly's frontcourt didn't pose much of a challenge for Hibbert, who recorded his first double-double since Feb. 4. He's averaging 22 minutes per game over his past six contests and he's been a borderline 12-team option over the past month, in part because he's shooting 41.8 percent during that span. Rotoworld.com

    • Nerlens Noel (quad) double-doubles in return
Nerlens Noel (quad, calf) started Sunday's game and had 10 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks despite his recent ailments.

Advice: His owners will be thrilled to note that Noel, a 59.7 percent shooter at the FT line, made all six of his freebies tonight. His 35 minutes were a game-high and it's safe to say that he's healthy and ready for Monday's matchup with the Raptors. Rotoworld.com

    • Kelly Olynyk (ankle) sits out again Sunday
Kelly Olynyk (ankle) didn't play on Sunday, as expected.

Advice: This makes 17 straight DNPs for Olynyk, whose next chance to return comes in Cleveland on Tuesday. He has intriguing rest-of-season upside in Boston's frontcourt, but first he'll need to regain his conditioning after such a long layoff. Rotoworld.com

    • Joel Freeland plays two minutes in return
Joel Freeland played just two minutes in his return to action against the Kings on Sunday.

Advice: He didn't have any stats, but it was great to see him back out on the court after 23 straight games on the shelf. However, Freeland won't be in the rotation in Portland unless a couple of injuries strike their frontcourt, so he can be left on the wire in almost all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge scores 26 with 15 boards
LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 points with 15 boards and two assists in Sunday's 110-99 win over the Kings.

Advice: He did go just 9-of-25 from the field and missed all three of his attempts from beyond the arc, but his owners won't be complaining about this line. Aldridge is coming off a 29-point, 16-board performance vs. the Thunder on Friday, and he is going to continue to be a beast as long his troublesome thumbs don't cause him any problems. Rotoworld.com

Donatas Motiejunas scored 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting during Sunday's win over the Cavs, adding two 3-pointers, two rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one turnover through 31 minutes of action.

Advice: Motiejunas has been playing well since the All-Star break, averaging 12.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.0 three-pointer, and 0.8 steals and blocks per game. He should be able to maintain his late-round value for as long as Dwight Howard is sidelined. Rotoworld.com

    • Update: JaVale McGee buyout now 'unlikely'
JaVale McGee denied knowing about buyout talks with the 76ers, and sources now consider a buyout "unlikely."

Advice: "Not on my part, it’s not true," McGee said, referring to a report that he was in "active talks" with Philly. "I don’t know. They might be talking to somebody. I know nothing about it." A buyout would have to be completed by midnight for another team to acquire him for the playoffs, so the clock is ticking. Rotoworld.com

    • Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) out as expected Sunday
Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) will not play vs. the Pelicans on Sunday as expected.

Advice: He is expected to be "out a while" according to head coach Brain Shaw, but his owners should at least entertain the idea of holding onto him if they have an IR spot, or at least until we get a firm timetable. Joffrey Lauvergene has been playing well for the Nuggets and is worth a look in deeper leagues, while J.J. Hickson might be able to finally make some noise as well. Rotoworld.com

Nerlens Noel (sore quad and calf) is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game vs. the Pacers.

    • Spencer Hawes scores 14 points w/ nine boards
Spencer Hawes finally mustered up a productive line on Sunday, scoring 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting, to go with nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, three blocks and one turnover through 23 minutes of action.

Advice: This is the type of lines we were hoping for when Blake Griffin (elbow) initially went down, and hopefully Hawes can keep it up with a favorable matchup against Minnesota on Monday. If Hawes was recently dropped in your league, he's worth a look. However, with Griffin getting closer to making a return to the lineup, Hawes' value is going to be short-lived. Rotoworld.com

    • Joe Freeland (shoulder) will be active Sunday
Joe Freeland (shoulder) will be active for Sunday's game vs. Sacramento.

    • Noel (quad, calf) will try to play on Sunday
Nerlens Noel (sore quad and calf) will attempt to give it a go for Sunday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: It appears that Noel is going to play, so Thomas Robinson won't be quite as an attractive option in daily leagues on Sunday. Noel will draw a difficult matchup against Indiana, but he's still worth deploying coming in with averages of 10.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game during the month of February. Celtics' head coach Brad Stevens said that Kelly Olynyk (ankle) "probably won't play" Sunday vs. the Warriors.

Advice: Stevens added that even if Olynyk is available on Sunday, it's unlikely he will leave the bench, so it's probably safe to leave Olynyk on your bench today. Tyler Zeller, Brandon Bass, and Jonas Jerebko will remain the primary beneficiaries with Olynyk sidelined. Rotoworld.com

    • JaVale McGee and 76ers may pursue buyout
According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the 76ers and JaVale McGee are in discussions over a buyout.

Advice: Today is the last day that McGee would be eligible to play in the playoffs on another team if he were to be bought out, so a deal has to happen before midnight. McGee has struggled to stay healthy in the past few seasons, and while he is clearly not in the 76ers' plans, he likely wouldn't have a significant role on almost any team in the NBA. We will continue to follow this story closely, but it is safe to leave McGee on the wire in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson (ankle) will not play on Sunday
Taj Gibson (ankle) will not play on Sunday against the Clippers.

Advice: He was limping pretty severely when he left Friday's game and he still can't put weight on his ankle which suggests that he will see some more time on the sidelines. Pau Gaol is returning from an illness, so the Bulls should be able to cope without him for a game or two. • Nerlens Noel (quad, calf) questionable Sunday
Nerlens Noel is dealing with a sore quad and calf, and he is considered questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Pacers.

Advice: The 76ers are arguably the most cautious team in the NBA, so it wouldn't be surprising if they err on the side of caution and rest Noel tonight. We should know more closer to tip-off, so owners will have to stay on alert for an update. If Noel does sit, Thomas Robinson will likely be the primary beneficiary and is worth a look in deeper leagues after he scored nine points with nine boards in just 13 minutes vs. the Wizards on Friday. Henry Sims and JaVale McGee could see a bump in minutes as well, though they aren't reliable options in almost any league. Rotoworld.com

    • Robin Lopez not being involved much
Robin Lopez has only a 12.1 usage rate to start the second half.

Advice: He is not really involved in the offense and his main job is to just hit the glass on that end. In fact, his offensive rebounding rate (11.2) is greater than his defensive rebounding rate (9.3). Low offensive numbers aside, Lopez is still worth owning in standard leagues, averaging 7.0 points, 5.3 boards, 1.3 blocks and 0.3 steals. Plus, he was tremendous in the second half last year. Pero Antic was rested during Saturday's game vs. the Heat because he suffered a knee injury in a collision during Friday's game vs. the Magic.

Advice: He has a very limited role off the bench and is averaging just 5.5 points and 3.0 boards in 16.3 minutes per game this season, so this news doesn't have a lot of fantasy implications. Advice: Here we go again. Hibbert took a nosedive in the second half last year and the early indication is that he's on his way to doing it again. "It’s great to finally be here and not just dream about it coming off last season, not playing. I’m blessed and just making sure I’m making the best of this opportunity I have." He has been able to play in 54 out of 58 games for the 76ers this season and hasn't been limited by his knee at all. Nikola Pekovic's troublesome ankle flared up on him during Saturday's game vs. the Grizzlies, and he is expected to be reevaluated on Monday.

Advice: Not good. Pekovic hasn't exactly been the most durable player in recent years, and it looks like the Wolves were playing with fire when they decided to play him in the second game of a back-to-back set. Pekovic lasted just two minutes in the second half on Saturday, and we would be surprised if he ended up playing against the Clippers on Monday. Nikola Pekovic played just 12 minutes against the Grizzlies on Saturday with one point, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.

Advice: He played less than two minutes in the second half. The first thing to come to mind here is that his ankle isn't feeling great on the second half of a back-to-back set. Greg Monroe was quiet against the Wizards on Saturday with 21 points, 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during a 99-95 loss.

Advice: While this was a solid game, the Pistons really have to work on their defense. They have allowed the likes of Nene, Marcin Gortat, Lou Amundson and Andrea Bargnani to go off on them this weekend. As for Monroe's production, it's been consistent and he is one of the better bets for a double-double on a given night. Andre Drummond had 13 points, nine rebounds and one block tonight. • Chris Andersen is a game-time call for Sat
Chris Andersen (illness) is a game-time decision to face the Hawks on Saturday.

Advice: The game tips at 7:30 EST, but the Heat are usually pretty good about providing an update. If he's out, there might be more of Udonis Haslem at the five. Obviously Hassan Whiteside is a must-start player. Rotoworld.com

    • Kris Humphries will miss Saturday's game
Kris Humphries (groin) will miss Saturday's game against the Pistons.

Advice: This will be his second consecutive game out of the lineup. With Humphries out, the Wizards will look to Drew Gooden and Kevin Seraphin to step up behind Nene and Marcin Gortat. Most owners in fantasy leagues can monitor this situation from the sidelines. Rotoworld.com

    • Festus Ezeli suspended for one game
Festus Ezeli will be suspended for Sunday's game against the Celtics.

Advice: He got into it with Tyler Hansbrough on Friday and this isn't a surprise. Ezeli doesn't really play more than 15 minutes even when the Warriors are missing guys, so he's not worth owning in almost any league. Andrew Bogut is also less likely to be rested on Sunday with Ezeli out. Rotoworld.com

    • Shaw: Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) out 'for a while'
Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is "out a while" due to his ankle sprain, according to coach Brian Shaw.

Advice: There is no timetable, but the sense is that he's going to need at least a week or maybe even a month to get over this injury. Nurkic was posting some elite value and could have been a top-50 player the rest of the way, so his owners will have to weigh their options on keeping him. While he's out, Joffrey Lauvergne seems to be benefitting most, but he's only worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson (ankle) doubtful for Sunday vs. LA
Taj Gibson (ankle) is doubtful to play against the Clippers on Sunday.

Advice: He had a limp leaving the arena on Friday night and he's also been dealing with his left ankle issues fro much of this season. The last time he had ankle problems, Gibson needed to miss four games, but of course every injury is different. The Bulls moved Nikola Mirotic back to power forward, which actually led to some bigger production out of Mike Dunleavy. Considering the upside, Mirotic is worth a look in standard leagues. • Kelly Olynyk says ankle is feeling better
Kelly Olynyk made it through most of practice on Saturday, and while he did say his ankle is feeling better, he wasn't ready to commit to returning to action just yet.

Advice: He remains questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Warriors, but head coach Brad Stevens said he would not be surprised if Olynyk was available to play. Olynyk should be stashed in most leagues considering Jared Sullinger (foot) is out for the season, while Brandon Bass, Tyler Zeller and Jonas Jerebko will all see their playing time take a hit when Olynyk does return. • Tyson Chandler (hip) is a game-time decision
Tyson Chandler (hip) will be a game-time decision on Saturday against the Nets according to head coach Rick Carlisle.

Advice: Chandler wasn't able to play on Wednesday vs. the Hawks, but the good news was that he made it through a full practice on Friday. His owners will have to check back prior to tip-off before activating him in lineups, but he would still be a must-start option even if he is not 100 percent. Bernard James scored seven points with 11 rebounds and two blocks against the Hawks, and he would be the primary beneficiary if Chandler sits this one out. Rotoworld.com

    • Greg Monroe noncommittal over free agency
Greg Monroe was noncommittal when asked about his thoughts on becoming a free agent in this summer.

Advice: "I'm not thinking about it right now, honestly," Monroe said before Friday's loss to the Knicks. "I’m focusing on what I have to do for this team. It’s something down the line. When I get to that point, I’ll always make the right decision for me and my family, but right now I’m just focusing what I have to do here." The Knicks are among the teams said to be interested in prying Monroe away from Detroit in the summer, and after averaging 15.6 points, 10.5 boards and 2.0 assists per game this season, it's clear that Monroe will have plenty of suitors. Donatas Motiejunas had a quiet night on Friday against the Nets, scoring 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds, one assist and no steals or blocks in 24 minutes.

Advice: Motiejunas has hovered as a solid late-round value over the last month and unless he truly goes south he should be held in all 12-team formats. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson (ankle) out for game on Friday
Taj Gibson went to the locker room on Friday with an ankle sprain and will not return.

Advice: He can't seem to shake these ankle sprains. Gibson was all set for a big night tonight and hopefully will return to action soon. If he doesn't it'll be Nikola Mirotic logging major playing time. Considering Miro's upside, he is well worth a speculative add in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

J.J. Hickson will start Friday vs. the Jazz.

Advice: While Kenneth Faired is healthy and available to play, head coach Brian Shaw has elected to go with Hickson as the starter. This is a strange move, and it seems Faried and Shaw could use some counseling, but it is what it is. Hickson is averaging 7.6 points and 6.8 rebounds through five games with the starting unit, and he'll have a tough matchup tonight, making him a risky play in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Kelly Olynyk (ankle) questionable for Sunday
Kelly Olynyk (ankle) is questionable to play against the Warriors and is hopeful to practice on Saturday.

Advice: He's been out since January and is finally getting closer to a return. The Celtics have been very creative with their frontcourt and coach Brad Stevens has been playing a lot of Jonas Jerebko. "[Jerebko is] not a five in a perfect world but maybe a five in our world," Stevens said. Jae Crowder has also been a stretch four a ton and has benefitted the most in the past couple. Advice: It's looking doubtful that Humphries will be able to suit up for Friday's matchup with the 76ers, so there will be more minutes to go around for guys like Kevin Seraphin and Drew Gooden. However, neither Seraphin nor Gooden can be considering a viable option in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

Tyson Chandler (hip contusion) said that he is hopeful to be able to suit up for Saturday's game vs. the Nets.

Advice: Chandler was unable to go on Wednesday, which resulted in Bernard James logging a season-high 27 minutes while putting up seven points, 11 rebounds and two blocks with the starting unit. If Chandler is again unable to go on Saturday, James would likely get another opportunity to start, and he'd make for a decent plug-and-play option with a favorable matchup against the Nets. Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. Utah, as expected.

Advice: With Nurkic unavailable, and Darrell Arthur (calf) being listed as doubtful, J.J. Hickson and Kenneth Faried are going to be logging heavy minutes on Friday, while newcomer Joffrey Lauvergne could put up some nice numbers. He had 11 points, nine boards, a steal and a block on Wednesday, when Nurkic got hurt. It's also possible that Wilson Chandler (groin) plays some minutes at power forward, but Denver is simply running out of options. Faried is going to have a lot of opportunity on Friday, so hopefully he can finally bust out of his slump. Rotoworld.com

LaMarcus Aldridge played through his thumb injury on Wednesday after sitting out Sunday, and had 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Advice: That's the good news. The bad news is he hit just 5-of-19 shots and now has a pair of bad thumbs to deal with the rest of the way. But as long as he's playing for the Blazers, he should be in your lineup. Rotoworld.com

    • Donuts finally doesn't look glazed over
Donatas Motiejunas played one of his better games in the past month against the Clippers on Wednesday, scoring 18 points with nine rebounds, one assist, one block and three 3-pointers.

Advice: Before this one, he hasn't been great this month, averaging 11.8 points, 5.9 boards, 1.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks in his previous eight games. Donuts was also more of a cream puff on defense, allowing his man to shoot 5.1 percent higher than his average in that span, too. Motiejunas hasn't been in the top 200 for February this month and is clearly being outplayed by Terrence Jones, a much better player to own. Rotoworld.com

    • Spencer Hawes can't produce on Wednesday
Spencer Hawes made 1-of-9 from the field for seven points with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

Advice: The usage and minutes weren't a problem, but Hawes just couldn't make shots. He is being counted on quite a bit, but there's no need to add him until his game starts to click. Plus, Blake Griffin will be back next month. Rotoworld.com

Jordan Hill hit 7-of-12 shots for 16 points, five rebounds, two steals and a block in 27 minutes off the bench on Wednesday.

Advice: Robert Sacre failed to even score as the starting center, and it makes little sense that Hill isn't starting. He's averaging 12.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, a steal and a block since returning from a hip injury, and is worth a look if you need a big man (and you might if you own Jusuf Nurkic, who went down an ankle injury tonight). • J.J. Hickson plays 22 minutes
J.J. Hickson played 22 minutes against the Suns on Wednesday with eight points, three rebounds, one steal and one block.

Advice: He only played six minutes on Monday, but the Nuggets gave him minutes out of desperation. Hickson is likely behind rookie Joffrey Lauvergne right now and doesn't have a high upside anyway, so he can be kept on the wire in most leagues. Lauvergne is the better speculative grab with Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) expected to miss time. Rotoworld.com

    • Jusuf Nurkic has lateral right ankle sprain
Jusuf Nurkic suffered a right lateral ankle sprain on Wednesday and X-rays were negative.

Advice: This is actually not bad news for Nurkic, but he is still very likely to miss time and does not have a timetable to return. He was in a lot of pain and could not put weight on his foot. Nurkic owners should hold him for now because players have limped off the court without putting weight on their leg and play in their next game -- Rodney Stuckey did that over the weekend. With Nurkic out, it looks like fellow rookie Joffrey Lauvergne will step up after posting a nice line on Wednesday with 11 points and nine boards. J.J. Hickson will also play more, but his upside isn't great. Rotoworld.com

Tyson Chandler will not play vs. the Hawks on Wednesday due to a left hip contusion.

Advice: Chandler hurt himself while drawing a charge on Tuesday and he's also battling a sore left ankle. The diagnosis could be worse and we're considering Chandler day-to-day with his hip bruise, but it helps that Dallas doesn't play again until Saturday. • Taj Gibson and Kirk Hinrich expect to play
Taj Gibson (illness) and Kirk Hinrich (illness) are expected to play on Wednesday vs. the Hornets.

Advice: Gibson didn't play against the Bucks on Monday and was limited to a stationary bike at practice on Tuesday, so it's probably fair to say that he still isn't 100 percent. That being said, Gibson is a must-start option when he is active and owners can go ahead and pencil him into active lineups for tonight's game. Advice: Chandler is still getting over a recent ankle injury and he hurt his hip while drawing a hard charge on Tuesday, but so far there's no suggestion that he'll sit out Wednesday's game vs. Al Horford and the Hawks. Marreese Speights was back in double-digits on Tuesday, making 6-of-12 shots off the bench to finish with 16 points, two boards, one assist and two turnovers in just 15 minutes.

Advice: Speights has blocked one shot total since Jan. 23, and he was averaging a mere 5.3 points in a negligible role over Golden State's previous three games. Updating a previous report, the Trail Blazers are officially listing LaMarcus Aldridge as probable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.

Advice: All signs are pointing towards Aldridge giving it a go on Wednesday, and his return to the lineup will send Meyers Leonard back to the bench and irrelevancy in standard leagues. Aldridge owns career averages of 20.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game through 28 meetings with the Spurs, so make sure he's on your active roster tomorrow. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Aldridge said he had an x-ray and an MRI taken on his right thumb, but both came back negative, and he will be a go for tomorrow's matchup with the Spurs despite being limited during Tuesday's practice. Advice: We don't know if Hawes' injuries are catching up to him or if he simply sucks now, but he just hasn't clicked in L.A. and he's not exactly making the most of Blake Griffin's absence. He's worth owning in the hopes his fantasy friendly game can start to take off, but not at the expense of a free agent with long-term prospects. Rotoworld.com

Tim Duncan scored 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting with 10 rebounds and three blocks, and along with Kawhi Leonard he was the only Spurs player with a passable line in Monday's loss to the Jazz.

Advice: Leonard wasn't great but he did manage eight points, four rebounds, two assists, three steals and a block in his 25 minutes. Everywhere else fantasy owners probably reached for a trash can to hurl into, and this represents a buy low window for the whole lot of them. People have been counting out the Spurs for well over a decade. Rotoworld.com

Kelly Olynyk (ankle) is doubtful to play against the Suns on Monday.

Advice: Brad Stevens said he thinks Olynyk will be "close to playing" by the end of the homestand, which would indicate a possible return on either Friday or Sunday. When he does return, Olynyk will probably be eased in after missing so much time, but he should be in line for a larger role than previously with Jared Sullinger (foot) out for the season. • LaMarcus Aldridge (thumb) won't play vs. MEM
LaMarcus Aldridge was a late scratch on Sunday due to a right thumb sprain.

Advice: Aldridge is playing through ligament damage in his left thumb but this sprain is to his right thumb, on his shooting hand. That's a mild relief for owners and he was reportedly shooting around without obvious discomfort prior to Sunday's game, so hopefully this is a mere precaution from the Blazers. His absence means more playing time for Chris Kaman, Meyers Leonard and Dorell Wright. Owners should sit tight while we await further updates. Rotoworld.com

Greg Monroe double-doubled during Sunday's win over the Wizards, putting up 15 points (6-of-16 from the field, 3-of-6 from the stripe), with 15 rebounds, three steals, two assists and two turnovers over 37 minutes of action.

Advice: While the efficiency was an issue tonight, that's not a regular occurrence for Monroe. He's averaging 16.1 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals on 51.7 percent shooting through the month of February, and he'll look to have a strong second-half to the season as Detroit fights for the final playoff spot in the East. Kris Humphries led all Wizards' reserves with 11 points and seven boards in Sunday's road loss, making 5-of-6 shots with one assist and one steal in 18 minutes of action.

Advice: Humphries is a nightly double-double threat but his low playing time and lack of defensive stats have kept him out of the conversation in standard leagues. Humphries' rebound rate of 18.1 percent easily leads the Wizards, and he's a big reason why Washington ranks fourth for rebound differential at +3.4 per game. Rotoworld.com

With news that Jared Sullinger (foot) will remain sidelined for the remainder of the 2014-15 season, Olynyk is looking like a must-own guy. As a starter this season, Olynyk owns averages of 11.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 steal, 0.5 blocks, and 1.1 three-pointers per game. Advice: Talk about a warrior. Injuries like this typically sideline a player for at least a few weeks, but Gibson clearly has other plans. He is also still dealing with soreness in his ankle, and doctors have told him that it won't be fully right all season. He finished Saturday's game against the Suns with 12 points and four boards in 29 minutes, and he will continue to be a must-own player in all leagues as long as he continues to fight through his nagging injuries. • Hill (hip) returns with a double-double
Jordan Hill (hip) returned to action on Friday against the Nets, scoring 12 points on 5-of-15 shooting with 10 rebounds, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.

Advice: Hill was a winner at the deadline by not being traded, though he wasn't really a given to get sent elsewhere. He should mostly survive the random rotations, but with the Lakers playing for a draft pick these days they may choose to be ultra-cautious with him. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan scores just eight points
Tim Duncan scored just eight points against the Warriors during a 110-99 loss on Friday, adding three boards, three assists and one steal in 21 minutes.

Advice: Duncan is playing 28 minutes per game on the second half of back-to-back sets, but coach Gregg Popovich said he might lower his minutes tonight. Although, Duncan didn't play in the final 18:37 of this game because the Spurs were down 14 at the time. The Spurs next back-to-back starts on Friday Feb. 27. Rotoworld.com

    • Motiejunas plays 21 minutes in loss to Mavs
Donatas Motiejunas scored seven points on 3-of-8 shooting (including a three) with eight rebounds and one assists over 21 minutes in Friday's loss to the Mavs.

Advice: Motie hasn't been great in his last few games and could easily be found on waiver wires in 12-team formats. But he has been pretty good this season and has a late-round valuation over the last month, so consider picking him up if he was dropped. He has at least a 2-3 week window with Dwight Howard out to cash in on. Rotoworld.com

    • Jusuf Nurkic has big line in 33 minutes
Jusuf Nurkic was unleashed in 33 minutes of action on Friday against the Bucks with 11 points, 15 rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks.

Advice: It's just the second time of his career in which he played more than 30 minutes. For months we've been waiting for Nurkic to get extended run and hopefully tonight is the start of him playing consistent minutes. If you held him the whole time, you should be feeling great right now. Rotoworld.com

    • Humphries (back) plays 18 minutes on Friday
Kris Humphries (back) played 18 minutes on Friday, scoring seven points on 3-of-5 shooting with six rebounds and two assists.

Advice: Humphries needs some help to maintain value in most standard leagues, and right now Nene (18 points, 25 minutes) is both upright and productive. Rotoworld.com

    • Pekovic double-doubles with two blocks
Nikola Pekovic scored 16 points on 5-of-16 shooting with 11 rebounds and two blocks in Friday's win over the Suns.

Advice: Pekovic had a good night in the box but he met his match in Alex Len, who had his number all night. After some early struggles since returning to action, he's back to producing serviceable numbers. Rotoworld.com

    • Taj Gibson scores 15 with nine boards
Taj Gibson played 30 minutes off the bench during a 100-91 loss to the Pistons on Friday with 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one block.

Advice: It's his third game in a row with at least 30 minutes. Gibson's numbers are not great in that span, averaging just 11.0 points, 4.5 boards and 1.0 blocks. He's usually much better when he gets this kind of playing time, so he's a hold in fantasy leagues unless it's to pick up one of these hot centers from tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Roy Hibbert has a bad game on Friday
Roy Hibbert played 22 minutes against the 76ers during a 106-95 win on Friday with eight points, seven rebounds and one block.

Advice: He was actually dominated by Nerlens Noel on occasion tonight and it was a bad start for Hibbert. Of course, he had one of the biggest disappearing acts after the break last season, so all it's only natural to be slightly concerned. We'll see how he does against Andrew Bogut on Sunday. • JaVale McGee plays 11 minutes with 76ers
JaVale McGee played 11 minutes in his 76ers debut on Friday with two points, two rebounds and one assist during a 106-95 loss.

Advice: His two points were JaVale-esque with a wild slam driving down the lane. However, McGee's minutes are unlikely to be very high because of his tibia injury. He can be left on the wire almost everywhere. You can check out a quick Vine of the dunk in the link below. Rotoworld.com

    • Nerlens Noel blocks nine shots, scores 12
Nerlens Noel blocked nine shots against the Pacers on Friday with 12 points, nine rebounds and four steals in 33 minutes.

Advice: He was ultra-aggressive tonight and only committed three fouls. Noel may actually have more chances to block shots because the 76ers dumped K.J. McDaniels and Michael Carter-Williams, two solid perimeter defenders. Things are looking up for him in a big way right now. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan to play fewer minutes on Friday
Tim Duncan will play fewer minutes on Friday night against the Warriors.

Advice: Everyone is available for the second half of a back-to-back set. Duncan should have his hands full after putting up a gem in a loss to the Clippers. Rotoworld.com

    • Kris Humphries (lower back) will play Friday
Kris Humphries (lower back) is a go for Friday's game against the Cavs.

Advice: He'll be backing up Nene tonight, and as long as Washington's starting frontcourt of Nene and Marcin Gortat is intact, Humphries won't be worth using in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • JaVale McGee is active on Friday vs. Indy
JaVale McGee is active against the Pacers on Friday.

Advice: Interesting. McGee probably won't see many minutes tonight in his first game with the 76ers. This also suggests he's not going to be bought out and the 76ers may get a look at him. He has $23.2 million due to him in the next two seasons, but he's not worth owning in almost any league considering his nagging leg injury. Rotoworld.com

    • Jordan Hill (hip) coming off bench vs. Nets
Jordan Hill (hip) will come off the bench in his return to the lineup on Friday against the Nets.

Advice: The Lakers will start Jordan Clarkson, Wayne Ellington, Ryan Kelly, Tarik Black and Robert Sacre. Hill looked terrific just before his hip flexor strain, scoring 26 points with 12 rebounds on Jan. 29. He's already proven he's capable of being a strong fantasy asset with minutes in the mid-20s, so he's worth a look in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Hinkie admits McGee move was about picks
Sam Hinkie acknowledged during Friday's press conference that the trade that landed them JaVale McGee was more about the draft pick than acquiring talent.

Advice: "We'll see what happens," said Hinkie regarding McGee. "He may have a fresh start here but he was moved in large part because of the pick." McGee's minutes haven't eclipsed the 20-minute-mark this season due to his ongoing issues with his right fibula, and there's still a decent chance he is bought out of his ridiculous contract at some point with the 76ers. He's been a constant disappointment for the past three years, so there's no reason to add him in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Spencer Hawes plays 33 minutes
Spencer Hawes played 33 minutes against the Spurs on Thursday with seven points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.

Advice: After only logging 16.5 minutes per game in his previous two, Hawes saw his minutes rise tonight. He should have some decent fantasy value in the next month or so, but chances are he was cut for a higher-upside player who gained value today, which makes sense. Rotoworld.com

    • Tim Duncan's 30 points & 11 boards not enough
Tim Duncan was awesome on the offensive end against the Clippers on Thursday, making 12-of-14 from the field and all five free throws for 30 points with 11 rebounds, three assists, one block, one 3-pointer and no turnovers.

Advice: What a game with a true shooting percentage of 92.6, but it wasn't enough in a loss. He passed Alex English tonight to move up to No. 16 on the all-time scoring list. The Spurs get a back-to-back against the Warriors on Friday, but Duncan should be ready to go based on how he's played in every game since Dec. 20. The Spurs have a smaller margin of error now, currently sitting in the seventh seed in the Western Conference. Rotoworld.com
