    • Anthony's injured left shoulder will be examined by team doctors in the near future to discover the extent of the ailment and the best course of treatment, the New York Daily News reports.
Recommendation: Near the end of the regular season, Anthony suffered the initial injury, which he aggravated in Game of the first round against Boston. Since that game, he dealt with minor pain in the region but still managed to reach the 20-point threshold in his final seven games of the postseason. However, he hit just 41.6 percent of his field goals during that stretch, down from 44.9 percent during the regular season. He was certainly hampered by the concern, but luckily, the entire offseason is in front of him in case a surgery is required.

    • Chandler revealed during Monday's exit interview that he caught the flu shortly before the playoffs began, which limited his effectiveness more than his stiff neck, the New York Times reports.
Recommendation: In actuality, the illness spurred a significant weight loss. Consequently, Chandler didn't log more than 30 minutes during the playoffs until Game 4 of the first round against Boston. His postseason averages reflect these happenings -- 5.7 points (on 53.8 percent shooting), 7.3 boards, and 1.2 blocks in 29.2 minutes -- which is well below the double-double he posted on a nightly basis in 2012-13.

    • Pendergraph missed Monday's practice due to the birth of his daughter, the Indianapolis Star's Mike Wells reports.
Recommendation: Pendergraph's daughter was born Sunday, so he should not be forced to miss Wednesday's Game 1 against the Heat. However, he has not been a factor for the Pacers, as he played under eight total minutes in Round 2 against the Knicks.

    • Shumpert intends to play in the Las Vegas Summer League, the New York Times reports.
Recommendation: Shumpert wants to continue working on his game, with the preparation for Las Vegas and the tournament itself providing a great offseason opportunity for contact with the coaching staff. The games will act as the second-year pro's first sniff of summer league, as he was unable to participate heading into his first two seasons due to 2011's lockout and knee surgery in May of 2012.

    • West sat out the live portion of Monday's practice due to a strained right calf, the Indianapolis Star's Mike Wells reports.
Recommendation: The partial practice appears to be nothing more than a precaution, as the Pacers said he will be good to go for Game 1 against the Heat.

    • Richardson played in only one regular season game and five playoff games for the Knicks this season. He will be a free agent this offseason.
Recommendation: Richardson is in the twilight of his career and likely won't warrant fantasy consideration next season should he play again.

    • Green played in 79 games in his rookie season of 2012-13, averaging 2.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per game. His playing time increased in the postseason to 18.6 minutes per game as he was part of the mix to replace an injured David Lee.
Recommendation: Green was a drain offensively for much of the season, shooting 32.7 percent from the field and 20.9 percent from 3-point range. Those numbers got better in the postseason, but Green's game isn't about scoring. He's a heady player capable of playing three positions and played some center during the playoffs. His versatility and IQ are valued, but he doesn't figure to be a significant scoring threat.

    • Wade was a full participant during Sunday's practice, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Recommendation: Sunday's practice was of the light variety, but nonetheless, Wade said he is good to go. He played 37 minutes in Wednesday's Game 5, so the knee appears to be holding up. Continue to start him as you normally would.

    • Barron played in 12 regular season games, only one of which was for the Knicks. He did not appear in any games during the Knicks' playoff run.
Recommendation: Barron has played for six teams since the start of the 2010-11 season and isn't much more than a player who provides depth on the bench. Regardless of where he plays next season, he isn't likely to warrant fantasy consideration.

    • Ezeli appeared in 78 games (41 starts) during the 2012-14 season, averaging 2.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 14.4 minutes per game. He also played in every playoff game.
Recommendation: Andrew Bogut's recovery from ankle surgery was delayed well into the regular season, opening up some minutes in the frontcourt for Ezeli during his rookie season. He was largely a defensive presence with good shot blocking skills (2.4 per 36 minutes). If the Warriors get a full season of health from Bogut, there will be a decrease in Ezeli's playing time in 2013-14.

    • Barnes required six stitches to close a laceration above his right eye that he sustained during the first half of Thursday's playoff game in which the Warriors were eliminated by the Spurs, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Recommendation: Barnes was taken to the locker room where he passed league-mandated concussion testing and came out for the second half, playing all 12 minutes of the third quarter. He did not play at all in the fourth quarter, shutting himself down due to headaches.

    • Lee plans to have surgery to repair a torn right hip flexor in the coming weeks, the Associated Press reports. He is expected to be ready for training camp.
Recommendation: Aside from the injury, Lee had a splendid season, averaging 18.5 points and 11.2 rebounds per game in 79 games. He's developed into a nice low-post scorer with a mid-range game and an ability to draw fouls. He's often knocked for playing sub-standard defense, but there's no doubting his impact offensively.

    • Pondexter had a team-high 17 points and was 5-for-9 from three-point range in Sunday's Game 1 blowout loss against the Spurs.
Recommendation: He is the best three-point option on the Grizzlies, and was called upon to hoist with regularity to try to get the team back into Sunday's lopsided defeat. The situation called for a lot of minutes and shots for Pondexter, but we wouldn't expect him to lead Memphis in scoring in future games in this series.

    • Smith said he wants to retire as a Knick, ESPN New York reports.
Recommendation: Smith has a $2.9 million player option for next season, but he is likely to opt out and become a free agent. He had an excellent season and won the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award as he averaged 18.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.9 three-pointers and 1.3 steals a game. Before the playoffs started, it was largely assumed that Smith was going to cash in big due to his excellent regular season, but he shot only 33.1 percent in the playoffs and may have lost some money as a result. Although he wants to remain a Knick, they may offer him less than they would have before his playoff slump. Regardless of where he lands, he will likely be an excellent scoring option off the bench or as a member of a starting five.

    • Randolph was held to just two points on 1-for-8 shooting with seven rebounds and a block in 28 minutes in Sunday's Game 1 blowout loss against the Spurs.
Recommendation: The Spurs worked very hard to contain Randolph, after he demonstrated how effective he can be in the final two games of the Grizzlies' previous series. He missed a couple easy shots that he usually makes, and was visibly frustrated, but we would expect him to bounce back to some degree in Game 2 and especially when the series moves to Memphis.
