    • Efficient double-double in win
Towns closed with 27 points (10-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 36 minutes during Monday's 106-80 win over the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Towns was tasked with more responsibility on the defensive end since Rudy Gobert (personal) was unavailable for this contest. Even though he had to deal with Nikola Jokic on both ends of the court, Towns thrived and posted a great stat line. This was Towns' third double-double over his last four playoff appearances, and he's expected to return to his role at power forward in case Gobert is ready to return for Game 3 of the series, scheduled for Friday. • Kyle Anderson records full line in spot start
Kyle Anderson accounted for six points (3-of-8 FGs), nine rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and one blocked shot in 26 minutes in Monday’s Game 2 win over Denver.

Advice: With Rudy Gobert (personal) back in Minnesota, Anderson was the choice to fill the void in the starting lineup. SloMo was most impactful as a rebounder, with seven of his nine coming on the offensive end of the floor. Given how well the Timberwolves have played, those extra possessions seriously damaged the reigning champions. Add in eight assists and three “stocks,” and Anderson had a solid night at the office. Gobert should be available for Game 3 on Friday, which would bounce Anderson back to the bench. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:43 pm
    • Karl-Anthony Towns records 27/12/1/1/2 line Monday
Karl-Anthony Towns shot 10-of-15 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Monday’s 106-80 blowout of the Nuggets, tallying 27 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks, and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

Advice: Minnesota needed Towns to step up with Rudy Gobert (personal reasons) away from the team, and that’s what he did. KAT tied for the team lead in points, shooting 66.7% from the field while also grabbing 12 rebounds. He’s scored 20 points or more in three straight games, and not only was foul trouble not an issue for Towns, but he and the other starters were able to watch the end of Tuesday’s rout from the bench. Gobert should be available for Friday’s Game 3, but Minnesota needs Towns to play at this level consistently. Now 6-0 this postseason, the Timberwolves look like a team that can play into June. • MIN starting Conley, Edwards, Jaden, Kyle, Towns
Mike Conley, Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, Kyle Anderson, and Karl-Anthony Towns will start Monday’s game against the Nuggets.

Advice: Leading the series one game to none, the Timberwolves are without Rudy Gobert (personal reasons) for Game 2. Filling the void is Anderson, but the Stifle Tower’s absence also places more responsibility on Towns. KAT has picked up some silly fouls in the past; Minnesota can’t afford to have him land in early foul trouble if they’re to take a 2-0 lead. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:37 pm
    • Steps into starting five
Anderson will start Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets.

Advice: Anderson will take Rudy Gobert's (personal) spot in the starting lineup. Anderson didn't factor in much during Game 1, finishing with two points, two rebounds and one assist in 12 minutes of action. While Anderson is set to draw the start, look for Naz Reid to play a key role off the bench after dropping 14 points in the fourth quarter of Saturday's Game 1. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:37 pm
    • To miss Game 2
Gobert (personal) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Gobert was added to the team's injury report earlier in the day due to a personal matter, and he's since been downgraded to out after Charania confirmed the birth of Gobert's first child. Look for Naz Reid, who put up 16 points in Game 1, and Kyle Anderson to see an increased workload in the frontcourt Monday night. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:36 pm
    • Rudy Gobert (personal) downgraded to out Monday
Rudy Gobert (personal reasons) will not play in Monday’s Game 2 against the Nuggets.

Advice: While there were some questions regarding whether Gobert could make it back to Denver in time for Game 2 after being present for the birth of his child, Timberwolves coach Chris Finch said he would not play. Naz Reid will play more minutes, likely as a starter, and Minnesota needs Karl-Anthony Towns to avoid committing silly fouls. Kyle Anderson should also experience an increase in playing time. • Rudy Gobert (personal) questionable Monday
Rudy Gobert is questionable for Monday’s matchup with Denver due to personal reasons.

Advice: Minnesota took Game 1 on the road in Denver on Saturday, and Gobert’s absence would create a major hole in the Wolves’ roster for Game 2. If he’s ultimately unable to go, expect Naz Reid and Kyle Anderson to see bumps in playing time to fill the void. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:59 am
    • Probable for Game 1
Doncic (knee) is probable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Thunder, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.

Advice: Doncic also dealt with a knee injury for most of the Mavericks' first-round series but wasn't forced to miss any time. He maintained a high level of production, averaging 29.8 points, 9.5 assists and 8.8 rebounds in 42.5 minutes per game. The 25-year-old should continue to be available for the start of the second round. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:35 am
