    • Report: Pels unlikely to offer Ingram an extension
      According to Forbes Sports’ Evan Sidery, the Pelicans are unlikely to offer Brandon Ingram a contract extension this summer.

      Advice: Ingram, who struggled in the Pelicans’ first-round loss to Oklahoma City, is due to make a little over $36 million in the final season of his deal. He can sign an extension worth up to $208 million over four years. However, with Pelicans lead executive David Griffin saying during his post-season availability that changes will be made, Saturday’s report could be a sign that New Orleans is open to parting with Ingram if a proper deal can be made. Trey Murphy is also extension eligible, but his price tag is considerably lower than Ingram’s, whose 64 games played in 2023-24 were the most he’s been available for since being traded to New Orleans in 2019.       Anthony accumulated nine points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 19 minutes during Friday's 103-96 win over the Cavaliers in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

    • Scores 20 points in Game 6 loss
      Hield amassed 20 points (6-10 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 21 minutes during Thursday's 118-115 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

      Advice: Hield went scoreless in two of the first three games of the series and was a DNP-CD in Games 4 and 5, but he provided a lift with his scoring off the bench in Game 6, particularly when the Sixers were in a complicated spot during the second and third quarters.     • Lazarus-like Buddy Hield scores 20 points Thursday
      Buddy Hield played 21 minutes off the bench in Philadelphia’s Game 6 loss to the Knicks, accumulating 20 points (6-of-10 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), four rebounds, one assist, and six 3-pointers.

      Advice: Needing a spark after falling behind by a 33-11 margin, 76ers coach Nick Nurse called on Hield for the first time since Game 3. Give the veteran sharpshooter credit for staying ready, as he came out hot and finished with 20 points off the bench after scoring two in Games 1 through 3. Nicolas Batum also had a good night off the bench, accounting for 16 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one block, and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes. Hield and Batum are in a similar spot heading into the offseason, as they will be unrestricted free agents. The former offers a higher fantasy ceiling, but that would likely require him to land a starting role with a non-contender.     • Brook Lopez finishes season with 20-point night
      Brook Lopez logged 31 minutes in Thursday’s 120-98 loss to the Pacers, accounting for 20 points (7-of-12 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, and one assist.

      Advice: While Lopez thoroughly outplayed Myles Turner in Game 6, it didn’t matter because Indiana had a far superior bench. The veteran center shot 50% or better from the field in all six games, scoring at least 20 points in three. To say this was a brutal ending for a team with championship ambitions would be an understatement. Lopez isn’t a “sexy” fantasy target, based on his Yahoo ADP of 69.7, but he once again exceeded expectations. The veteran center finished the regular season as a top 50 player in 9-cat formats while sitting just outside the top 60 in 8-cat. He’ll likely come off the board in the 6th round of standard league drafts, but Lopez is a relatively safe bet to exceed that. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:06 pm
       
    • Dorture Chamber: Brandon Ingram held to 8 points
      Brandon Ingram struggled in the Game 4 loss on Monday, finishing with just eight points (2-of-14 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in a 97-89 loss to the Thunder.

      Advice: In a category fantasy league, BI was actually able to contribute some value, specifically on the defensive end. However, in the playoffs, they need him to make an impact as a scorer. Unfortunately, Lu Dort got in the way of that. Over the course of the series, Ingram averaged 14.3 points on 34.5% shooting from the floor, which simply won’t get the job done with Zion Williamson sidelined. It was a successful season for New Orleans, as they finished with 49 wins, but that didn’t help the much in the tightly-contested Western Conference playoff race. This was BI’s fifth year with the team, and they have yet to win a playoff series. Expectations will certainly be high heading into next season. Rotoworld Monday, 8:49 pm

      Brook Lopez put up 27 points, nine rebounds, an assist, a block and three triples across 39 minutes in Sunday’s loss to Indiana.

      Advice: BroLo scored more points than 27 only twice in the regular season, and both games came way back in November. Sunday’s performance was certainly a rarity in the scoring department, but Lopez was forced to handle a colossal workload thanks to the absences of Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo and the early ejection of Big Bobby Portis. Lopez has scored at least 20 points in two of the Bucks’ last three games, and he’ll be asked to pick it up on offense Tuesday if Milwaukee’s stars are once again sidelined.       Advice: Lopez led all Bucks players in scoring in Sunday's loss while connecting on a trio of threes and ending one rebound shy of a double-double in a balanced performance. Lopez has stepped up as the leader in the paint for Milwaukee during the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf), reaching double figures in all four postseason games while finishing with his highest scoring and rebound marks of the series thus far.
