  • Boozer (shoulder) misses Tuesday's practice
Carlos Boozer (shoulder) did not practice on Tuesday, and remains questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Memphis.

Advice: If Boozer is unable to go, Ed Davis (ankle) will draw another start. Davis struggled with foul trouble during his last outing, fouling out in just 22 minutes of action, but if he can get that under control he could provide some nice value in the blocks category. Davis figures to be a low-end option in standard leagues as the starting power forward for the Lakers, but a matchup vs. Memphis isn't exactly alluring. Rotoworld.com

  • Derrick Rose (hamstring) probable for Tuesday
Derrick Rose (hamstring) is being listed as probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: Owners will want to check back for an official update on Rose's status as we draw closer to Tuesday's tip, but it's looking like he'll try and give it a go. Rose is coming off an 18-point outing vs. Utah, and has a favorable matchup tonight against the Nuggets. If he plays, Aaron Brooks won't be worth using in daily leagues. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

  • Xavier Henry out for season following surgery
Xavier Henry underwent surgery to repair his torn left Achillies on Tuesday morning, and he will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2014-15 season.

Advice: Henry will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but after injuries held him to just 43 games last season, and a mere nine this year, he may have a tough time landing his next deal. Henry's 9.5 minutes per game will be distributed to Jordan Clarkson and Wayne Ellington, but neither guy can be considered an attractive option in standard leagues while Kobe Bryant is healthy. • Raymond Felton tweaks ankle, not serious
Raymond Felton tweaked his right ankle during Tuesday's practice, but according to head coach Rick Carlisle, the minor tweak is not considered serious.

Advice: Raymond Felton is fighting for minutes with Devin Harris, Jameer Nelson, Monta Ellis, and J.J. Barea, and he wasn't even able to get off the bench during his last outing. Felton should remain on the waiver wire in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Mike Miller runs w/ starter during practice
Mike Miller ran with the starting unit during Tuesday's practice, but head coach David Blatt hasn't yet made a decision who will start at shooting guard on Wednesday.

Advice: This is something worth watching, as Shawn Marion's status as the starting SG has always been viewed as a short-term experiment. Rookie Joe Harris' name has come up as a potential starter in the past, but his minutes have come down a bit and it appears he's lost some momentum. Miller is a quality 3-point shooter, and LeBron James is a fan of him from their days together in Miami. Owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach with Miller, but it's certainly a situation worth monitoring. Rotoworld.com

  • No setbacks for James Johnson
James Johnson didn't suffer a setback in Monday's game when he played just four minutes in his return from an ankle injury.

Advice: The Raps are just working him back into the mix slowly, so it might take him a week to get back up to speed. Rotoworld.com

  • Nene's absence could mean Beal starts
With Nene expected to miss a few games with a foot injury, it's possible the Wizards are ready to start Bradley Beal over Garrett Temple.

Advice: As Kyle Weidie notes, the Wizards will miss Nene's passing skills and his absence could be the impetus to get Beal back into the starting unit sooner than later. Rotoworld.com

  • Austin Rivers coming off bench for Pelicans
Tyreke Evans will start at shooting guard for the Pelicans on Tuesday, while Darius Miller will start at small forward, leaving Austin Rivers coming off the bench.

Advice: Miller will start at small forward and Tyreke Evans will slide over to SG. Evans has been great at small forward, so owners have to hope the move doesn't mess up his mojo. Rivers was looking like a nice plug-and-play option, but loses some luster off the bench. Miller is now a deep sleeper for success in the absence of Eric Gordon, who is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury. Rotoworld.com

  • Carmelo Anthony doubtful for Wednesday
Carmelo Anthony didn't practice on Tuesday due to his aching back and is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game at Dallas.

Advice: There is also speculation that he won't be ready for the Thunder on Friday, either, and owners who are stuck with Melo in a weekly lineup could be in some trouble. Travis Wear (who?) played the final 17 minutes on Monday night for the Knicks and looks like an interesting prospect, but guys like Iman Shumpert, J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. will probably benefit most by Melo's absence. Rotoworld.com

  • Kris Humphries is likely to start on Tuesday
Kris Humphries may start against the Hawks on Tuesday.

Advice: It's going to be him or Drew Gooden in place of Nene (foot) tonight. Humphries has played well in his brief time on the court with averages of 6.8 points, 4.7 boards and 0.5 blocks in 15.6 minutes. He should get minutes in the 20s tonight, which makes him a low-end stream play or an option in daily fantasy leagues. Check back later tonight for the starting lineups. Rotoworld.com

  • Pelicans likely to start Darius Miller
The Pelicans are expected to start Darius Miller in place of Eric Gordon (shoulder) on Tuesday against the Kings.

Advice: Tyreke Evans will move over to shooting guard, which is a position he thrived in last season. Obviously, Miller is not going to be the main answer here with several DNP-CDsm only 7.3 minutes per game and shooting just 25.0 percent this season. In fact, his big outlier was a 17-minute outing during the Pelicans beatdown of the Wolves 139-91 back on Nov. 14. He's only worth a look in an extremely deep league. Rotoworld.com

  • Otto Porter goes through shootaround
Otto Porter (hamstring) went through shootaround on Tuesday and is a game-time decision to face the Hawks.

Advice: Going through shootaround usually means a player will go and he said he can "definitely" go, but Porter is a little different considering how he's aggravated his hamstrings before. Fantasy owners shouldn't be expecting much from him anyway now that Bradley Beal is back. Plus, Martell Webster (back) is getting closer, too. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrew Bogut is expected to play on Tuesday
Andrew Bogut (eye) is expected to play against the Heat on Tuesday.

Advice: He went through shootaruond today and most signs point to him play. Bogut has a bruise to his eye socket, so this isn't like a muscle pull or a sprain, which means it shouldn't affect how the Warriors treat his minutes. Those who picked up Marreese Speights may have to reconsider using him tonight, but they will definitely want to check back later for an update. Rotoworld.com

  • Dirk Nowitzki calls Monday loss horrific
Dirk Nowitzki said Monday's 110-100 loss to the Pacers was both horrific and awful.

Advice: While Dirk stopped short of calling the loss "embarrassing" like teammate Chandler Parsons did, he obviously wasn't happy. "A horrible loss. Horrific. Awful," Nowitzki said of the Mavs' second straight loss. "I can't find any more words." Nowitzki scored 22 points to go along with 11 rebounds, one block and two treys in the loss, so his fantasy owners can't complain too much as he's still returning top-25 value on the season and will continue to do so as long as he's healthy. • Larry Sanders shares source of inspiration
Larry Sanders spoke about the importance of sacred idols as the source of his inspiration.

Advice: When asked during an interview about what inspires him outside of basketball, Sanders showed his theological side. "I would just say, I really look to sacred idols," Sanders said. "I feel people who draw other people to God. So, Buddha, Jesus, just all the sacred icons. It's all theosis." While the 26-year-old has had a rough start to the 2014-15 regular season, he's still worth holding onto in standard leagues due to his potential to put up huge block numbers. Rotoworld.com

  • Thibodeau says Rose not real comfortable
Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said that Derrick Rose (hamstring) is not real comfortable right now.

Advice: Rose scored 18 points with five assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers during Monday's win over the Jazz, but will be listed as day-to-day for Tuesday's game against Denver. "I thought he did a lot of good things," Thibodeau said. "You could see he's not real comfortable with the ball yet, but that will come. When Derrick strings some games together, he's going to take off." We'll update Rose's status as soon as possible, but Aaron Brooks would get a value boost if D-Rose is unable to play Tuesday. • Knicks await news on Carmelo Anthony's back
The Knicks are waiting another day to find out more after Carmelo Anthony left Monday's game with back spasms.

Advice: Anthony will travel with the team to Dallas in advance of Wednesday's game, but will also make a visit to Houston to visit a specialist and get pain medication. "Back spasms is what we understand it to be right now," head coach Derek Fisher said. "We’ll find out more in 24-48 hours. Back spasms are tough to deal with. I’ve never experienced it before. It’s not comfortable at all." It's looking doubtful that Anthony will be able to suit up for Wednesday's game against the Mavs, but we'll update his status as soon as more information is available. Derrick Favors scored 21 points on 10-of-17 shooting with a season-high 15 rebounds and one steal in Monday's 97-95 loss to the Bulls.

Advice: Favors is up-and-down a little bit but he's more or less playing near his ADP. He's averaging 15.6 points, 8.4 boards and a combined 2.2 steals and blocks per game, which has returned top 50-60 value on the season. Rotoworld.com

  • Kanter has productive night against Bulls
Enes Kanter scored 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting with eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block over 33 minutes in Monday's loss to the Bulls.

Advice: Kanter is averaging just 0.2 steals and 0.2 blocks per game, so if you're using him you probably wanted to uncork some cheap champagne tonight. He's more of a 14-team guy given his lack of statistical upside in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Noah leaves briefly with eye injury
Joakim Noah left Monday's game with an eye injury but eventually returned and finished with four points, five rebounds, four assists and one block in 30 minutes.

Advice: Noah is probably going to be a disappointment for anybody burning a high mid-round pick and that's before we talk about any injury risk. Unless you hear otherwise, feel free to have him in lineups for Tuesday's game in Denver. Rotoworld.com

  • Rose (hamstring) returns but still day-to-day
Derrick Rose (hamstring) returned to action in Monday's win but ended the night with a day-to-day status for Tuesday's game in Denver, and finished with 18 points on 5-of-10 shooting, three treys, three boards, five assists and one steal in 25 minutes.

Advice: Tom Thibodeau was reportedly frustrated after the game according to beat writer Nick Friedell. When asked if he would play in Denver, Thibs said "I would hope so. Jeez. We'll see tomorrow I guess." Thibs added, "When Derrick strings some games together he's going to take off. He's got to go. That's the bottom line. He's got to go." He's going to be day-to-day for a while until he proves he's not. Rotoworld.com

  • Brooks scores 10 points in 23 minutes
Aaron Brooks scored 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 23 minutes on Monday.

Advice: With the Bulls' point guard position in constant flux, there's not a lot to hang onto here for owners. If you want to move on, it makes sense, but if you want to see if he's the last point guard standing you better know it's a risky stash. Rotoworld.com

  • Dirk goes for 22 and 11; Monta scores 24
Dirk Nowitzki scored 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting with 11 rebounds, two threes and one block in Monday's 111-100 loss to the Pacers.

Advice: Dirk's rebounds have been down and so has his normally unflappable free throw shooting. Tonight's result is a good sign for the former and in the case of the latter nobody should be worrying. With just top 20-40 value on the year, he's going to improve those marks as long as he stays healthy. Monta Ellis scored 24 points with three rebounds, six assists, two steals and a three in the loss. Rotoworld.com

  • Wright has another perfect game on Monday
Brandan Wright had another perfect game from the field on Monday, hitting all six of his shots for 13 points, four rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes.

Advice: Wright is a machine and the only thing that can stop him is his own health, but for now he seems fairly durable and playing behind an older set of big men he has a lot of upside (especially in the case of Tyson Chandler). He's returning top 40-70 value (9/8 cat) and congratulations are in order if you drafted him. Rotoworld.com

  • Felton a DNP-CD on Monday
Raymond Felton returned from his suspension but did not play on Monday due to coach's decision.

Advice: Felton will only be on the fantasy radar if the Mavs suffer a number of injuries. Rotoworld.com

  • Hill scores 12 points with six boards
Solomon Hill scored 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting (no threes) with six rebounds, three assists and one steal in Monday's win over the Mavs.

Advice: Hill has top-120 value in 8-cat leagues with a full slate of minutes (34.0 mpg) on the year and in 9-cat leagues he's a borderline play for 12-team formats. With players returning, albeit in extremely unstable fashion, owners shouldn't be attached to parting with the relatively low upside player. The only way he jumps up a level is if he has an outrageous in-season improvement. Rotoworld.com

  • Sloan scores 29 points in win over Mavs
Donald Sloan scored 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting (3-of-5 3PTs, 6-of-9 FTs) with two rebounds, five assists and one steal in Monday's win over the Mavs.

Advice: Sloan has managed to weather a lot of the storm as guys have been scheduled to return but fallen off the wagon before they could touch his value. Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Miles both played tonight and that's something for owners to watch, along with the return of C.J. Watson at some point, but it looks like only George Hill can knock Sloan off his current top-100 pace. Rotoworld.com

  • Stuckey (wrist) productive in busy 32 minutes
Rodney Stuckey (wrist) logged 32 minutes on Monday against the Mavs, scoring 12 points on 2-of-9 shooting (2-of-3 from deep, 6-of-6 from the line) with three rebounds, five assists and one steal.

Advice: Given his inability to stay healthy the heavy workloads recently are an uncomfortable bonus, so give him a look in deeper formats but don't drop anybody of real value just yet. Rotoworld.com

  • Henry Sims scores 22 points vs. Portland
Henry Sims scored a season-high 22 points against the Blazers on Monday with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and three turnovers in 34 minutes.

Advice: It would appear Nerlens Noel is going to get most of his minutes at power forward, so Sims should be safe for minutes in the mid-20s or so. Although, he was brutal to watch on defense, which has been the case all year. Sims struggled in his previous 10 games with averages of 8.5 points, 6.1 boards and 0.4 blocks, so we will have to see it again. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 9:32 pm
  • Smith struggles to produce on Monday
J.R. Smith logged 19 minutes on Monday, scoring eight points on 3-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with three boards, two assists and one steal.

Advice: Smith is worth watching in the event Carmelo Anthony's injuries are more serious rather than less serious, but so far with Anthony traveling to Dallas with the team this isn't close to a run-to-the-wire moment. Tim Hardaway Jr. (five points, 15 minutes) falls into the same boat and is a cut below Smith. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 9:10 pm
  • James Johnson plays four minutes on Monday
James Johnson played four minutes against the Suns with one steal and two fouls.

Advice: He didn't take a single shot tonight and may not be 100 percent. Johnson said he was "like Wolverine" for recovering so soon from his ankle sprain, but he wasn't a superhero with fouling tonight. He should be better his next time out. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Carmelo (back) 'in a lot of pain'
Carmelo Anthony (back) is "clearly in a lot of pain" and did not address the media after Monday's game.

Advice: Anthony needed to go to a local doctor in Houston to get medication not available in the arena, and he is traveling with the team to Dallas so that's a good sign. We'll continue to monitor the situation and while it's uncomfortable to think about Melo pushing through a bunch of injuries in a meaningless season, owners should exercise patience and at least wait for the storm to clear before considering any sell-low offers. J.R. Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. are short-term speculative adds at this time and Iman Shumpert should have already been owned in most formats. Rotoworld.com

  • Carmelo Anthony dealing with back spasms
Carmelo Anthony went to the locker room in the first half due to back spasms and is doubtful to return.

Advice: The last time he had any noteworthy back problems was back in 2012 and it's unclear how bad this recent injury is. If he's out, the Knicks are in deep, deep trouble. It will be a collective effort from J.R. Smith, Iman Shumpert and Tim Hardaway Jr. benefiting the most. Rotoworld.com

  • Bulls PR: Derrick Rose will start vs. Jazz
Derrick Rose (hamstring) is listed as the starter for Monday against the Jazz and will play.

Advice: This is coming from a team official and that has held up so far, so Rose is likely a go tonight. Fantasy owners can pencil him into the starting lineup, but of course anything could happen. Aaron Brooks will come off the bench. Rotoworld.com

  • Thibs is confident Rose & Gasol play vs. Jazz
Coach Tom Thibodeau is confident Derrick Rose (hamstring) and Pau Gasol (calf) will play against the Jazz on Monday.

Advice: Obviously, we don't really trust Thibs here and Gasol and Rose fantasy owners will want to check back for an update. We'll keep you posted. If Rose is out, Aaron Brooks is a nice play against Trey Burke. Rotoworld.com

  • Ray Felton is active on Monday night
Raymond Felton will not play against the Pacers on Monday.

Advice: He is eligible to return, but the Mavericks don't need him. They've been one of the best offenses in the history of the NBA, so why mess with a good thing? Felton has very little fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

  • Xavier Henry suffers torn left Achilles
Xavier Henry has suffered a torn left Achilles and will miss the rest of the season.

Advice: He just can't catch a break and it's become really easy to root for him. Henry had a knee injury keep him out for much of last season and also tore ligaments in his wrist at the end of the season. His days with the Lakers are likely over and he may have a tough time catching on with any NBA team next season. Hopefully, he proves everyone wrong. Rotoworld.com

Andrew Bogut (eye) went through a light practice on Monday and remains questionable for Tuesday against the Heat.

Advice: Going through practice is big for Bogut and it does sound like he could play. However, the Warriors didn't really miss him with Marreese Speights playing out of his mind. Owners in weekly leagues should probably consider benching him while Speights carries a lot of risk. The Warriors do have four games this week, so that makes the decision a little tougher. James Johnson (ankle) will play against the Suns on Monday night.

Advice: He has been out since Nov. 16 with what looked like a severe ankle sprain, but Johnson is likely going to see his normal minutes. He was actually turning in mid-round value because of all the defensive stats, so he's worth a look in standard leagues. To be clear, he's not a must-own player and obviously won't be a mid-round guy on the season. Rotoworld.com

  • Carlos Boozer misses practice on Monday
Carlos Boozer (shoulder) missed practice on Monday.

Advice: He missed Sunday's game against the Nuggets despite being listed as probable. Boozer has been a guy who usually takes a lot longer to get over his injuries, so there is a chance he sits on Wednesday against the Grizzlies. If that is the case, Ed Davis (ankle) and Robert Sacre will get some more playing time. Jordan Hill also played a ridiculous 42 minutes on Sunday. Rotoworld.com

Xavier Henry may have suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and is getting an MRI.

Advice: This is just not right for Henry. He's had multiple severe knee injuries and just can't stay on the court. • Rodney Stuckey upgraded to probable Monday
Rodney Stuckey (left wrist) has been upgraded to probable on Monday after going through shootaround on Monday.

Advice: Previously listed as questionable, Stuckey's probable designation is a good indication that he'll give it a go. Now that he's healthy enough to play, he'll look to build on the meager production he's amassed so far this season. We'd like to see him stay healthy and be a lot more efficient before recommending him as a fantasy play, but that may be asking too much. Rotoworld.com

  • Raymond Felton's ankle now fully healthy
Raymond Felton (ankle) said that he's fully healthy following his suspension.

Advice: It's not a lock that Felton will return on Monday, but he's healthy enough to do so and his suspension has ended. • Austin Rivers looks like Pelicans starting SG
Austin Rivers looks like the Pelicans starting shooting guard with Eric Gordon (shoulder) out indefinitely.

Advice: Rivers had eight points (two triples), three rebounds, two assists and a steal in 33 minutes against the Jazz after Gordon was hurt on Saturday, and the most important takeaway was the fact that Rivers received the lion's share of minutes at shooting guard. Even as a speculative add, Rivers should be owned in all leagues with 12-plus teams. Rotoworld.com

  • Rose, Gasol both game-time calls on Monday
Derrick Rose (hamstring) and Pau Gasol (calf) are both game-time decisions on Monday against Utah.

Advice: Previously Rose was questionable, so that's nothing new. Gasol was being listed as probable, and there's no use in guessing with Chicago's injury situation since the designations are largely meaningless in their reports. Gasol should play, but we've already been burned by his being "probable" before this season. With Kirk Hinrich (chest) questionable at best, Aaron Brooks and E'Twaun Moore would likely be the Bulls' point guards if Rose doesn't play. Rose did say he is feeling better and is confident about playing vs. the Nuggets on Tuesday if he can't go on Monday. The good news is he's no longer having pain in his hamstring. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Bogut scored two points in eight minutes before leaving Sunday's game with the injury, but the good news is that he avoided any fractures or structural damage. He wrote on Twitter that he had a "bit of fluid" but should be fine. If he can't suit up on Tuesday, Marreese Speights would be a terrific fill-in start vs. Miami's lenient frontcourt. Rotoworld.com

  • Derrick Rose (hamstring) iffy to return Mon.
Derrick Rose (hamstring) went through Sunday's practice but he remains questionable to play vs. the Jazz on Monday.

Advice: This is nothing new for Rose's fantasy owners as he's been a perpetual game-time decision all season. He doesn't want to return until he's completely healthy, which is both understandable and frustrating, as his participation in practice doesn't usually mean much. Carlos Boozer (shoulder) will not play vs. the Nuggets on Sunday.

Advice: He was listed as probable after missing Saturday's practice, was downgraded to questionable on Sunday afternoon, and ultimately ruled out an hour before tip-off. Jimmy Butler wants Derrick Rose to be 100 percent healthy for a deep playoff run this season.

Advice: "Man, [Rose’s] head is in the same place all of our heads are in, and that’s wanting to win a championship," Butler said. "That’s what he’s getting ready for. That’s what we’re getting ready for. We want him to be 100 percent – not 99 – because you come back too early and you’re risking another injury. He’s fine. He’s our leader, and he knows what he’s doing." Owners of Rose will want to have the aspirin nearby this season, as he's bound for plenty of random rest days, and very late game-time decisions. Rose has been more risk than reward this season, and all owners can do is hope he has a strong second half. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Stuckey (wrist) questionable for Mon.
Rodney Stuckey (sprained left wrist) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game vs. Dallas.

Advice: The injury is to his non-shooting hand, so there's the positive in this situation. Stuckey just hasn't been able to stay healthy this season, and is currently averaging just 10.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game on 38.2 percent shooting from the field. Stuckey will have plenty of opportunity when he's finally able to play, but right now, he doesn't look to be worth owning in standard leagues. If he's unable to go, Donald Sloan will continue to get all the minutes he can handle. Rotoworld.com
    Sunday, 12:47 pm
  • Carlos Boozer (shoulder) questionable Sunday
Carlos Boozer (shoulder) is being listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: If Boozer is unable to go, Ed Davis will draw the start, and depending on how Davis fares the move could become permanent. Scott has grown tired of Boozer's uninspired play on the defensive end, as he's currently sitting on a +/- rating of minus-90 on the season. Meanwhile, Davis has been racking up the defensive stats in limited playing time and is currently a plus-6 on the year. If Boozer is unable to suit up Sunday, Davis could see his minutes in the 30s, and would make for a solid plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Derrick Rose (hamstring) will be GTD Monday
Derrick Rose (hamstring) will practice on Sunday, but he remains a game-time decision for Monday's game vs. the Jazz.

Advice: It's a constant guessing game with Rose, so owners will want to check back closer to Monday's tip for an official update on his status. With both Rose and Kirk Hinrich (chest) headed for game-time decisions on Monday, Aaron Brooks could be in for a big game, although Brooks has failed to capitalize on the increased opportunity a couple times this season. • Xavier Henry struggles to regain explosion
Lakers coach Byron Scott isn't sure that Xavier Henry will regain his former explosive athleticism following right knee surgery.

Advice: "I loved his athleticism and the fact that he could attack the basket," Scott said. "His relentlessness to attack the basket contributed to the injuries as well." Henry said that he can already move "better and quicker" at this stage in his recovery, and he doesn't plan to change his game, but fantasy owners can watch his development from afar -- he's averaging under 10 minutes per game and recently had a stint in the D-League. • Otto Porter downplays hamstring injury
Otto Porter said that his hamstring injury is minor and may be the result of dehydration and fatigue, but he remains questionable to practice on Monday.

Advice: "Just a lot of soreness [on Saturday]," said Porter. "I didn’t want to make it into a big injury ... I’ve been through injuries before so I knew from the start it wasn’t nothing serious." Paul Pierce and Rasual Butler both picked up more minutes in Porter's absence but it sounds like he may return to the lineup for Tuesday's home game. Rotoworld.com

  • Derrick Favors has a double-double
Derrick Favors double-doubled against the Pelicans during a 106-94 loss on Saturday with 13 points, 11 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 34 minutes.

Advice: He had a front-row seat for the Anthony Davis Show, but Favors wasn't too bad on the offensive side of the ball. Favors has two sub-par games in a row and his foul shooting is coming down, but his owners shouldn't be overly concerned. Rotoworld.com

  • Austin Rivers scores eight points
Austin Rivers played 33 minutes against the Jazz on Saturday with eight points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

Advice: Eric Gordon went down and Rivers is going to get minutes. He's been one of the most inefficient players in the NBA lately, but the opportunity is there. Feel free to give him a look in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 11:04 pm
  • Kris Humphries goes for 12 and nine
Kris Humphries scored 12 points against the Bucks during a 111-100 win on Saturday to go with nine rebounds, one assist and one block.

Advice: Nene (foot) went down tonight and there is a very good chance he will miss time. Humphries has some upside to be a double-double guy with some defensive stats, so he's a speculative add in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 10:41 pm
  • Bradley Beal looks great again
Bradley Beal looked good against the Bucks on Saturday with 17 points, two rebounds, six assists and one turnover in 34 minutes.

Advice: He's played starter's minutes in each of the last two games and coach Randy Wittman will likely be putting him in the starting lineup any day now. Beal has third-round upside and just needs to stay healthy. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 10:39 pm
  • Larry Sanders gets his minutes in check
Larry Sanders played 19 minutes against the Wizards on Saturday with five points, four rebounds, one steal and four blocks.

Advice: He fouls too much and the Bucks run an 11-man rotation, so that leaves a lot to be desired from the 2012-13 breakout player. Still, the blocks make him someone worth holding on to just in case coach Jason Kidd decides to tighten his rotation. Rotoworld.com

  • Carmelo Anthony has a decent game vs. PHI
Carmelo Anthony made 10-of-20 from the field for 25 points against the 76ers on Saturday during a 91-83 win with seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and three 3-pointers.

Advice: Nothing fixes a losing streak quite like a matchup with the 76ers. Anthony is starting to play much better these days and his fantasy owners should still consider him as a first-round guy. Rotoworld.com

  • Brandan Wright stays hot in loss to Rockets
Brandan Wright hit 6-of-7 shots (as usual) and racked up 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in just 22 minutes on Saturday.

Advice: Wright is a beast right now and a very economical center in daily leagues. Despite coming off the bench and getting just 19.4 minutes per game, Wright has scored in double figures in seven straight games and came into this one averaging 12.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks over his last five. Those numbers are going up and he’s shooting it lights out this season, and hitting 31-of-39 shots over his last six games. If starter Tyson Chandler ever gets hurt, look out. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 8:31 pm
  • Dirk Nowitzki awful in loss to Rockets
Dirk Nowitzki hit just 4-of-18 shots and was 0-for-8 from downtown for 11 points and seven rebounds in Saturday's loss to the Rockets.

Advice: The good news is that Dirk has played through his sprained ankle, but clearly didn't have it tonight. The Rockets are a good defensive team and it showed tonight. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 8:17 pm
  • Donald Sloan only scores eight points
Donald Sloan made just 3-of-12 from the field for eight points during a 106-83 loss to the Suns on Saturday, adding two rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers.

Advice: The Pacers may have lost Rodney Stuckey to a wrist injury, so Sloan may have more ball-handling responsibilities going his way. He should have at least another couple weeks of value with George Hill (knee) not close to a return. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 7:15 pm
  • Solomon Hill gets big minutes again
Solomon Hill played 35 minutes against the Suns on Saturday with 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: With Rodney Stuckey (wrist) going down yet again, the Pacers are going to need more minutes out of Hill. He was already worth owning in standard leagues for his across-the-board output after a horrible start, but now the injury to Stuckey might solidify his value a little more. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Stuckey exits w/ sprained left wrist
Rodney Stuckey sprained his left wrist after tripping over a photographer on Saturday, and he will not return.

Advice: Stuckey is already struggling with his conditioning after missing time due to a foot injury, and we can only hope that this injury doesn't cost him any more time. X-rays were negative and we're considering him questionable for Monday's road game in Dallas -- with C.J. Watson (foot) and George Hill (ankle) already ruled out, Donald Sloan may need to once again log 40+ minutes if Stuckey doesn't suit up. Rotoworld.com

  • Otto Porter will not play on Saturday night
Otto Porter will not play on Saturday night due to a left hamstring tightness.

  • Bradley Beal off the bench yet again on Sat
Bradley Beal is coming off the bench again on Saturday against the Bucks.

Advice: Coach Randy Wittman does not want to throw Beal out there in the starting lineup, but he should still get plenty of minutes. Perhaps he didn't want to tweak his rotation in a back-to-back because it worked for him. Regardless, start Beal in all leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • James Johnson is out again on Saturday
James Johnson (ankle) will not play on Saturday against the Cavs.

    Saturday, 3:10 pm
  • Carlos Boozer has a sore shoulder issue
Carlos Boozer is dealing with a sore shoulder and missed Saturday's practice, but he's probable to play vs. Denver on Sunday.

Advice: There is no indication that he is in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game against the Nuggets. Boozer doesn't have any red flags on his shoulder and he probably just had a little too much contact at some point. If this does become an issue, Ed Davis would be a hot pickup. To be clear, Boozer sounds like he's OK. Rotoworld.com

  • Aaron Brooks stinks in 24 minutes
Aaron Brooks played only 24 minutes against the Blazers during a 105-87 loss, scoring 12 points with two rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

Advice: The Bulls did not have Kirk Hinrich (chest) or Derrick Rose (hamstring) tonight, but this game was a blowout. Brooks should get more run on Monday with Hinrich and Rose very questionable to play. His owners shouldn't panic, but he's obviously not a must-own player because he is more of a stop-gap fantasy option. Rotoworld.com

  • Favors nears double-double in blowout loss
Derrick Favors scored 10 points on 3-of-11 shooting with nine rebounds, one steal and two blocks in Friday's blowout loss to the Warriors.

Advice: This was as good as it got in the starting lineup in yet another terrible basketball game on Friday. Enes Kanter scored 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting with five rebounds, three assists and five turnovers but as usual had no steals or blocks, Trey Burke fell off a cliff with two points (1-of-8 FGs), five assists, one steal, and Alec Burks hit 3-of-10 shots for nine points, four boards and a three. Woof. Rotoworld.com

  • Dirk's ankle injury no big deal in blowout
Dirk Nowitzki shook off an ankle injury in the Mavs' 140-106 laugher win over the Lakers on Friday, scoring 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting with two rebounds, two assists, one block and a 5-of-6 mark from the foul line.

Advice: Dirk logged just 21 minutes and that's a nice little bonus on top of the fact that he's essentially ankle-proof. Tyson Chandler was quiet with five points and four boards, Jameer Nelson enjoyed the boost with 10 points, four rebounds, seven assists and two threes, and Monta Ellis had it all with 20 and 10 to go with three treys and three boards. Of course none of this matters, because Lakers. Rotoworld.com

  • Wright with yet another efficient line on Fri
Brandan Wright hit all five of his field goal attempts in Friday's blowout win, finishing with 12 points, three boards and two steals in just 19 minutes.

Advice: Wright is hitting an absurd 77.8 percent from the field while returning top 50-90 value (9/8 cat) in just 18.6 mpg. If you were an early adopter or drafted Wright go ahead and pat yourself on the back, and if your league is still sleeping it's time to wake up. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 10:07 pm
  • Bradley Beal logs 32 minutes in 12-5-5 line
Bradley Beal played 32 minutes off the bench against the Cavs on Friday, scoring 12 points with five rebounds, five assists, three steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He looked great tonight and it would be a shock for him not to start against the Bucks on Saturday. Beal was outstanding last season with the Wizards and could improve in his third year. He just needs to stay healthy. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 9:59 pm
  • Bradley Beal coming off the bench again Fri.
Bradley Beal will again come off the bench on Friday.

Advice: It's really only a matter of time until Beal takes back his job with the starting unit, and the Wizards are simply easing him back into the rotation. Beal was able to put up 21 points over just 26 minutes of action during his last outing, to go with three 3-pointers, three rebounds, three assists, two turnovers, and a steal, so he's going to get his whether he's starting or coming off the bench. He has a favorable matchup tonight vs. the Cavs, so owners can go ahead and roll him out there. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 4:25 pm
  • James Johnson still out on Friday night
James Johnson (ankle) will not play against the Bucks on Friday.

Advice: He is expected to miss more games, but he has been on the practice court in a limited capacity. Terrence Ross and Patrick Patterson will get some more run tonight. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 4:10 pm
  • Larry Sanders is in the starting lineup
Larry Sanders is in the starting lineup against the Raptors.

Advice: We just thought we'd throw that out there considering it was an issue with him last time. Start Sanders like you normally would and hope he avoids foul trouble. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 4:08 pm
  • Rodney Stuckey working on his conditioning
Rodney Stuckey is working on getting his conditioning back after spending two weeks on the sidelines.

Advice: "I only played 26 minutes, but it felt like I played 35," Stuckey said after Wednesday's win over the Hornets. "It’s all about getting my legs back underneath me and getting my wind back up. Here within the next week or so I should be back to normal." Stuckey is going to be eased back into the rotation, but with George Hill (knee) and C.J. Watson (foot) out he'll have plenty of opportunity. However, he really doesn't do much aside from score, so he's not necessarily a must-own guy in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 2:09 pm
  • Bradley Beal says he wants to play more
Bradley Beal said he wants to play more this season.

Advice: "At the end of the day, we had some good lineups and good things going before I came back," Beal said. "So what Coach is doing, I have no problem with it at all. As far as me coming off the bench, me playing the minutes I’m playing, that’s totally his call." Beal is going to start and it's probably going to happen tonight against the Cavs. His fantasy owners will want to put him in their lineup as he looks to back up his words that he and John Wall are a better backcourt than Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters. Rotoworld.com
    Friday, 12:15 pm
  • Larry Sanders left thigh now 100 percent
Larry Sanders said that he's fully healed from his left thigh injury he sustained during Friday's game vs. the Magic.

Advice: It's nice to know that he's healthy, but it would be better if he could start contributing consistently. Sanders is averaging 6.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game this season while shooting 41.1 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from the charity stripe. Those poor shooting percentages are keeping him out of the top-100, and right now he doesn't look like much more than a blocks specialist in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Aaron Brooks scores 12 points in a loss
Aaron Brooks played down the stretch against the Kings during a 103-88 loss on Thursday, scoring 12 points with two rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Kirk Hinrich (chest) suffered an injury tonight and the extent is not yet known. If Hinrich is out, Brooks would pick up all the minutes he can handle. Considering it's just a chest injury, fantasy owners shouldn't be too aggressive on adding Brooks. Rotoworld.com
    Thursday, 10:30 pm
  • Joakim Noah turns it on late
Joakim Noah turned it on late against the Kings in a losing effort on Thursday, finishing with 10 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block in 37 minutes.

Advice: He played almost the entire fourth quarter with five fouls and was very active on the glass. Noah had another double-double on Monday in the first game without Pau Gasol, so it's fair to say Noah will have better fantasy value sans Pau. Rotoworld.com

  • Carmelo Anthony dealing w/ pain in left knee
Carmelo Anthony revealed after Tuesday's loss to the Bucks that his left knee has been sore since the second game of the season and he's undergone tests on it.

Advice: "I think he's a smart enough and a veteran enough player that if he had some concern about where he is I think he would come either to me or to our training staff about trying to be smart," said head coach Derek Fisher. "He hasn't done that as of yet. I'm sure we'll continue to keep an eye on it. But he's good to go for now." The Knicks have not revealed exactly what tests Anthony has undergone, but this is something to keep an eye on. Anthony has said that he'll try to play through the pain, but if the Knicks continue their losing ways, it's plausible that Carmelo could eventually decide to rest. We'll be monitoring this situation closely, but there's no reason to panic right now. Rotoworld.com

  • James Johnson (ankle) sheds walking boot
James Johnson (ankle) was moving well without a walking boot after the Raptors' practice on Thursday.

Advice: The Raptors' defensive specialist and energizer is questionable for Friday's home game vs. the Bucks. It wouldn't be surprising to see him held out another game as a precaution, but we'll have a much clearer idea of his status after shootaround. Rotoworld.com

  • Maturing Solomon Hill helping the Pacers
Pacers head coach pointed to Solomon Hll's growing maturity as a source of strength for the Pacers.

Advice: Hill had a game-winning putback for the Pacers on Wednesday, but it's his maturity and leadership that is impressing his coach. "From the time we interviewed him before the draft, it was glaring that he was a very mature guy," Vogel said. "The way he carried himself was as impressive to us as anything he did on the basketball court, so to see him show a leadership role this early is not surprising to me." While Hill's fantasy value will take a hit when David West (ankle) returns, his recent play makes him worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Thursday, 8:52 am
  • Dirk Nowitzki expects to play vs LAL Friday
Dirk Nowitzki (ankle) expects to play against the Lakers on Friday.

Advice: Nowitzki briefly left Wednesday's win over the Wizards, but was able to return after getting his left ankle taped. "It’s just the first couple of minutes that hurt," Nowitzki said, adding that he expects to be fine for Friday’s game against the Lakers. "I walked it off, got it re-taped. Trainer asked me if I wanted to call it a day, but obviously a close game, so if I can walk, I want to be out there." Expecting to play and actually playing are two different things, so we'll be keeping a close eye on Dirk's status for Friday's tilt agains the Lakers. Rotoworld.com

  • Carlos Boozer turns in another big game
Carlos Boozer scored 12 points with 13 rebounds, one assist and two turnovers in 30 minutes against the Rockets on Wednesday.

Advice: He shot just 5-of-15 from the field and wasn't quite as hot as his 20-point, 10-board game on Tuesday. Nobody will bother trading for Boozer in your fantasy league, but he's worth owning as a low-upside guy for his points and boards. Rotoworld.com

  • Carmelo Anthony scores 20 points
Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points against the Wolves during a 115-99 loss on Wednesday to go with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and four 3-pointers.

Advice: It would have been a much bigger line, but he did not play in the fourth quarter because the Knicks were getting blown out. For what it's worth, Anthony said his knee issue from Tuesday was not an issue tonight. The Knicks have gone 1-9 in their last 10 games, but at least they'll get the 76ers at home on Saturday. • J.R. Smith looks awful again on Wednesday
J.R. Smith was awful on Wednesday against the Wolves with three points and four assists in 13 minutes.

Advice: He played horrible defense all night and Smith is not earning his playing time. He's done very little to get the attention of fantasy owners in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 10:26 pm
  • Larry Sanders plays 14 minutes
Larry Sanders played 14 minutes against the Nets on Wednesday with four points, four boards and one turnover.

Advice: He was a game-time decision tonight and the Bucks didn't announce he was a go until after the 7:30 start time in Brooklyn. Sanders will likely have his minutes limited in his next game on Friday, so his owners should have low expectations against the Raptors on Friday. Check back for updates, assuming the team provides them. Rotoworld.com

  • Bradley Beal debuts, scores 21 points
Bradley Beal made his season debut and came off the bench, hitting 9-of-17 shots and three 3-pointers for 21 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal in 26 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: He's back and Garrett Temple started, but played just 13 minutes for two points. Get Beal in your lineup and pray that he can stay out of the trainer's room for the rest of the season. He looked great tonight, and should be back in the starting lineup on Friday against the Cavaliers. And if you own Temple, it's time to move on. Rotoworld.com

  • Brandan Wright scores 14 off Mavs bench
Brandan Wright hit 6-of-7 shots off the bench for 14 points, six rebounds, a steal and a block in Wednesday's win.

Advice: Wright has somehow scored in double figures in five straight games and is averaging 12.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over that stretch, despite playing just 19 minutes a game. He's also hit 24-of-31 shots during that run, and is worth owning in most leagues, despite coming off the bench. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 9:32 pm
  • Dirk Nowitzki injures ankle in win over WAS
Dirk Nowitzki sprained his left ankle after stepping on another player's foot late on Wednesday, but was able to return and finish with 13 points, four rebounds and three 3-pointers on 4-of-12 shooting in 28 minutes.

Advice: The ankle sprain didn't look good in replays and there's a good chance it will swell up overnight. We've seen Dirk play through these types of injuries in the past, but owners should certainly be on the lookout for news over the next few days. The Mavs next play the struggling Lakers on Friday, and there's a decent chance he could miss that game. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 9:15 pm
  • Solomon Hill still gets his run, wins game
Solomon Hill hit a game-winning putback against the Hornets on Wednesday during a 88-86 win, finishing with six points, five rebounds and three turnovers in 38 minutes.

Advice: His minutes held tonight while Chris Copeland's dropped, so that means he's viewed as the team's leading small forward right now. Hill has come a long way from his awful preseason and he should have value at least until David West (ankle) gets back, which will hurt Hill's shot total. He's worth owning in standard leagues right now. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 9:12 pm
  • Donald Sloan still gets his 31 minutes
Donald Sloan played 31 minutes against the Hornets on Wednesday with 11 points, nine rebounds, six assists, one steal and two turnovers.

Advice: Rodney Stuckey played shooting guard and he didn't really eat into Sloan's minutes. Sloan should still put up decent stat lines until C.J. Watson (foot) comes back and he may even play minutes in the high 20s when that happens. He should have a couple more weeks of value. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 8:56 pm
  • Henry Sims scores 14 in another loss
Henry Sims hit 6-of-12 shots for 14 points and seven rebounds in Wednesday's loss.

Advice: Sims is still as inconsistent as they come, but has been playing better, averaging 10.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks over his last five games, despite not blocking one tonight. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 8:48 pm
  • Rodney Stuckey take a lot of shots in return
Rodney Stuckey returned to the lineup on Wednesday against the Hornets, making 5-of-13 from the field for 11 points with two rebounds, one assist and no turnovers in 26 minutes.

Advice: He played mostly shooting guard and continues to turn in a high usage rate. Stuckey logged only 13.3 minutes per game, but now he's likely going to stay in the mid-20 range. Considering he doesn't usually shoot the ball well and doesn't do much outside of scoring, he's not a great player to own in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 8:46 pm
  • Larry Sanders is starting on Wednesday
Larry Sanders is in the starting lineup on Wednesday night.

Advice: In usual Bucks fashion, this update comes at 7:37 pm EST for the 7:30 game. Sanders' thigh issue may limit him and his minutes have been a bit erratic anyway, so he should be on the bench in most fantasy leagues. Zaza Pachulia will move back into the second unit tonight. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 4:36 pm
  • Bradley Beal is coming off the bench
Bradley Beal (wrist) will come off the bench in his season debut against the Mavs on Wednesday.

Advice: Garrett Temple will likely get his last start with Beal active tonight. Fantasy owners shouldn't have high hopes for Beal with an expected minutes limit. He obviously should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 3:53 pm
  • Carmelo Anthony will start on Wednesday
Carmelo Anthony will start against the Wolves on Wednesday.

  • Larry Sanders is a game-time call vs. Nets
Larry Sanders (thigh) is a game-time call on Wednesday night to face the Nets.

  • James Johnson won't play vs. Memphis
James Johnson (ankle) will not play against the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Advice: He is in a walking boot and does not have a timetable to return. Johnson is a tough customer, but the Raptors will likely be careful based on how things went with Amir Johnson's ankle last season. Expect more Terrence Ross and Patrick Patterson tonight. Rotoworld.com

  • Bradley Beal activated on Wednesday
Bradley Beal (wrist) is active for Wednesday night against the Mavs.

Advice: It's still unclear if he is going to start, but he's very likely to have his minutes limited. Beal will likely see his minutes in the high teens tonight before he gets more run on Friday. Garrett Temple will likely get decent minutes tonight. Rotoworld.com

  • Carmelo Anthony (knee) not on injury report
Carmelo Anthony (knee) was not on the Knick's injury report, meaning he will play in Wednesday's game.

Advice: He was never expected to sit this one out, as the Knicks must win to stay relevant in the Eastern Conference. We will monitor his knee closely, but it doesn't appear like anything owners should be too worried about. To be on the safe side, check back before tip-off, but all signs point to him playing Wednesday. Rotoworld.com

  • Larry Sanders (thigh) questionable Wednesday
Larry Sanders (thigh) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nets.

Advice: He was a late scratch on Tuesday because of his bruised thigh, so owners will want to check back for updates prior to tip-off. If Sanders can't go, expect Zaza Pachulia to draw another start after he double-doubled on Tuesday, but anything is possible with coach Kidd. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

  • Bradley Beal (wrist) now a game-time decision
Contrary to a previous report, Bradley Beal (wrist) is now a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against Dallas, though he will come off the bench if he is active as he works his way back into shape.

Advice: He is now expected to have a discussion with coach Wittman prior to tip-off and it will be up Beal as to whether or not he will play. Owners will want to check back before the game for updates, as Beal would be a must-start player if active for his 3-point shooting. If he can't go, expect Garrett Temple to enjoy the glory for at least one more game. Rotoworld.com

  • James Johnson (ankle) still in walking boot
James Johnson (ankle) was seen still wearing a walking boot Wednesday morning, making him highly doubtful to play against his former Memphis team.

Advice: It is not looking good for him, and we had our doubts about him recovering in time for this one anyway. Johnson has been huge for Toronto early in the season, and has posted enough defensive statistics to be a nice asset in deeper leagues. However, barring a miracle Johnson will likely sit this one out, meaning Terrence Ross will see a bump in his minutes. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Stuckey (foot) will play Wednesday
Rodney Stuckey (foot) will play in Wednesday's game against Charlotte.

Advice: This is excellent news for the Pacers as they have been ravaged by injuries all season long. It is unclear how many minutes Stuckey will see Wednesday, but he likely be eased into action. He will be worth a flier in deeper leagues while owners in standard leagues should keep a close eye on him. His return could spell trouble for the value of Donald Sloan and A.J. Price but that remains to be seen. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 8:16 am
  • Rodney Stuckey (foot) is probable Wednesday
Rodney Stuckey (foot) is probable for Wednesday's game vs. the Hornets.

Advice: Owners in deep leagues should definitely consider taking a flier on him due to the lack of depth the Pacers have right now with George Hill(knee) and C.J. Watson (ankle) still recovering from injury. Stuckey can put up points in a hurry and though his minutes might be limited at first, he could play a huge role for the Pacers this season. If he does suit up, he will eat into the minutes of Donald Sloan while shattering the value of A.J. Price. Check back before tip-off for the latest updates. Rotoworld.com

  • Enes Kanter scores 16 pts, grabs 15 boards
Enes Kanter scored 16 points and grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds in an easy win vs. the Thunder on Tuesday, making 6-of-16 FGs and 4-of-8 FTs in just 27 minutes of action.

Advice: This was Kanter's first sub-.500 shooting game since Nov. 7, and he's shooting 85.0 percent from the charity stripe this season, so he gets a pass for the poor percentages. He also had zero assists, steals or blocks tonight, which is an unfortunate trend -- his 8-cat fantasy value is severely limited by averages of 0.4 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.3 blocks per game. Rotoworld.com

  • Derrick Favors scores 10 points in 26 minutes
Derrick Favors was conspicuously quiet in Tuesday's win vs. the Thunder, scoring 10 points with seven rebounds, two assists and one block in just 26 minutes.

Advice: He picked up four fouls, which limited his playing time, and credit is due to Serge Ibaka's defense. Favors hasn't been the most consistent player this year, but he's exceeding fantasy owners' expectations with top-40 value and should only get better as the season progresses. Rotoworld.com

  • Carmelo (knee) planning to play through pain
Carmelo Anthony said after Tuesday's game that his left knee has bothered him since the second game of the season, but he plans to continue playing through the pain.

Advice: He's had tests on the knee which presumably came back negative for any structural damage, but the injury bothered him enough on Tuesday that he briefly left to have his knee taped. This is an obvious concern for fantasy owners, as we're still very early in the season, but for now there's no reason to panic or trade Melo for less than elite value. We'll post updates as necessary, and there's no indication that he's in danger of sitting out vs. the Wolves on Wednesday. Rotoworld.com

  • Larry Sanders (thigh) traveling on road trip
Larry Sanders (bruised left thigh) will travel with the Bucks for games on Wednesday and Friday.

Advice: He remains questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Nets, but it's a great sign that he'll join the team for their brief two-game road trip. Zaza Pachulia double-doubled with a full line as a starter in Sanders' absence on Tuesday and would be worth a look for temporary value if Sanders misses any more games. We should know more after Milwaukee's shootaround, so check for updates on Wednesday afternoon. Rotoworld.com

  • J.R. Smith quiet despite starting Tuesday
The Knicks lost to the visiting Bucks on Tuesday, with J.R. Smith contributing only nine points (3-of-12 shooting), one rebound, three assists, two steals and one block.

Advice: Smith scored 28 points in an expanded role with Iman Shumpert out on Sunday, but he's only scored double-digit points in consecutive games once this season and has been too unreliable for use in most 12-team fantasy leagues. He logged 34 minutes in another start on Tuesday and a sustained starting gig could change the equation, so keep an eye on his role over the next week. Rotoworld.com

  • Carlos Boozer's 20 & 10 help LAL hold off ATL
The Lakers pulled out a five-point road win in Atlanta on Tuesday, aided by Carlos Boozer's 20 points (10-of-14 shooting), 10 rebounds and two assists.

Advice: Boozer was torched defensively but made up the difference with solid rebounding and shooting, which is a nice sight after Sunday's dud (six points on 3-of-13 shooting). He's barely clinging to 14-team value this season, but has picked up the pace over the past week and is worth owning if you need points, boards and solid FG percentages. Rotoworld.com

  • Larry Sanders a late scratch w/ bruised thigh
Larry Sanders was a late scratch on Tuesday due to a bruised thigh.

Advice: Zaza Pachulia will start at center in his absence and John Henson should earn more playing time off the bench, but the injury was reported so late that most fantasy owners will be unable to change their lineups. Sanders has averaged 6.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.8 blocks through the Bucks' first 10 games, despite the fact that he's playing only 22 minutes per game. His injury doesn't sound serious and we're considering him questionable to return for Wednesday's game in Brooklyn. Rotoworld.com

  • Rodney Stuckey probable vs Hornets on Weds
Rodney Stuckey (foot) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.

Advice: Stuckey has practiced for the last two days, so it's looking more and more likely that he'll suit up against the Hornets. The Pacers will likely keep his minutes in check on Wednesday, but his return to the lineup will cut into Donald Sloan and A.J. Price's fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

  • Mark Cuban excited for Raymond Felton return
Mark Cuban said he's excited for Raymond Felton (ankle) to return from his four-game suspension.

Advice: Felton began served his suspension on Monday, so he should be on-track to suit up against the Pacers on November 24 now that his high ankle sprain has healed. "I’m excited to get Raymond back because that will push our point guards a little bit more," Cuban said. While Cuban might be excited, fantasy owners shouldn't be rushing to add Felton as he's stuck in a backcourt logjam with Monta Ellis, Jameer Nelson, Devin Harris, and J.J. Barea. Rotoworld.com

  • Joakim Noah says Bulls have work to do
Joakim Noah said the Bulls still have work to do after Monday's win over the Clippers.

Advice: After easily defeating the Clippers without Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol, Noah said the Bulls have some building to do. "We have a lot of work to do," Noah said. "As long as we stay humble and we keep working, keep getting better as a team, hopefully, we'll have a chance. But we're nowhere near where we have to be." While Noah's numbers haven't been exactly what his fantasy owners expected, his improved play over the Bulls' last five games should give hope that he can still return top-30 value. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 7:53 am
  • Noah posts big popcorn line in easy win
Joakim Noah scored 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting with 16 rebounds and six assists in Monday's easy win over the Clippers.

Advice: Noah's numbers are down in enough areas to worry that he's still not at 100 percent, but he's playing and doing enough to return top-75 value. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 11:04 pm
  • Brooks quiet in another missed opportunity
Aaron Brooks scored just seven points on 3-of-8 shooting with one assist in 20 minutes off the bench on Monday.

Advice: Brooks is going to be measured by how he performs on the nights when Derrick Rose is invariably out, and by this measurement he'll be harder to trust next time out. Rose is day-to-day with his current hamstring injury. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 10:54 pm
  • James Johnson has a severe ankle sprain
James Johnson (ankle) has a severe ankle sprain and has no timetable to return.

Advice: He's played through a lot of injuries in his career, but it sounds like he's going to miss more time here. Terrence Ross should get more run at small forward while Patrick Patterson could also get a little more run. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 5:00 pm
  • Rodney Stuckey has a chance to play Wed.
Rodney Stuckey (foot) has a chance to play on Wednesday against the Hornets.

Advice: His minutes were held in check before suffering the injury earlier this month. Stuckey was very active while he was on the court, but it's still a little tough to get too excited about him as a fantasy asset. Most owners can take a wait-and-see approach. Rotoworld.com

  • James Johnson 'tender,' skips practice Monday
James Johnson (ankle) is "tender" and did not participate in Monday's practice.

Advice: Johnson is holding out hope he can prepare in time for the game on Wednesday, but it's unlikely the Raptors will put him out there at less than full strength. The good news is Johnson's ankle injury doesn't appear to be a major concern, but Dwane Casey admitted he has no idea how long the enigmatic forward will be out. If Johnson can't go, Terrence Ross and Amir Johnson could each see a few extra minutes with Landry Fields also picking up some scraps. Rotoworld.com

  • Kris Humphries coming on after hand injury
Kris Humphries is emerging as part of the Wizards' rotation after being initially slowed by his hand injury.

Advice: Humphries was dealing with nerve damage in his right hand that required surgery, and now he's really starting to play the role Washington envisioned upon acquiring him in a sign-and-trade during the offseason. "He goes in there and just bangs," Randy Wittman said. Rotoworld.com

  • Derek Fisher credits J.R. Smith's extra work
Derek Fisher credited J.R. Smith for extra work before Sunday's win over the Nuggets.

Advice: 'For J.R. today, it started yesterday,’’ Fisher said. "He had a workout after practice for 10 minutes that was as intense, as hard as an individual player can work in a shooting session that raised his level of intensity and pace of the game today." Smith had 28 points, four rebounds and four assists in what was easily his best game of the season. Rotoworld.com

  • Raymond Felton will begin suspension Monday
Raymond Felton will begin serving his four-game suspension on Monday.

Advice: Felton, finally healthy enough to return after sustaining a high right ankle sprain, will begin serving his suspension beginning Monday against the Hornets. Felton is not guaranteed a role when he does return, and that's expected to be on Monday, November 24 against the Pacers. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrew Bogut double-doubles in 21 minutes
Andrew Bogut double-doubled in just 21 minutes on Sunday, scoring 15 points with 10 rebounds in the Warriors' blowout road win in L.A.

Advice: Bogut made 7-of-9 field goals and chipped in four assists and one block, providing a solid fantasy line despite limited minutes. He's as healthy as he's ever been and has returned top-60 value at this early point in the season, though he's unlikely to help fantasy owners beyond the typical big-man categories of FG%, rebounds and blocks. • J.R. Smith scores 28 points in Knicks win
J.R. Smith had a solid outing on Sunday, scoring 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting to go along with four rebounds, four assists, two steals, two 3-pointers, one block and five turnovers as the Knicks topped the Nuggets.

Advice: Smith was solid on Sunday, but he’s currently averaging 9.6 points, 3.7 assists, and 0.9 three-pointers per game over 26 minutes of action. He got some extended run today with Iman Shumpert (hip) sidelined, but it’s looking like it’ll take injuries to force head coach Derek Fisher to give the defensively challenged Smith consistent minutes. Smith should continue to have some short-term value as long as Shump is unable to go, but he’s not a must-add player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Raymond Felton to start suspension on Monday?
The Mavericks are expecting Raymond Felton to be able to start serving his four-game suspension for gun charges on Monday.

Advice: If Felton begins his suspension on Monday, he would be eligible to make his Mavericks debut Nov. 24 vs. the Pacers. However, he's going to be fighting for minutes with Jameer Nelson, Monta Ellis, Devin Harris, and J.J. Barea, so he's not going to be worth owning in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • J.R. Smith will draw the start on Sunday
J.R. Smith will draw the start in place of Iman Shumpert (hip) on Sunday vs. Denver.

Advice: He could see a lot of minutes against Denver with Shump out, while Tim Hardaway will also likely see a lot of minutes off of the bench. Shumpert is not expected to miss much time so Smith and Hardaway should only be considered for owners in need of short-term value, or as a daily plug-and-play. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrew Bogut propels Warriors to win Saturday
Andrew Bogut was huge for the Warriors on Saturday, scoring 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting while adding nine boards, two assists and a steal in just 22 minutes.

Advice: He gave the Warriors a boost and made his presence felt all over the court. Bogut likely won't play big minutes during the season as he is prone to injury, but he has shown that he can be effective in limited action. However, he is still a must-start player at least until David Lee (hamstring) returns. Rotoworld.com

  • Brandan Wright makes all six from field
Brandan Wright made all six from the field for 13 points against the Wolves in an easy 131-117 win on Saturday with five rebounds, one assist and one block.

Advice: He's on a mission to lead the NBA in field goal percentage and he might be the favorite as long as he qualifies. Wright isn't going to be the best player on your fantasy team, but he's a solid contributor. He's worth owning in competitive standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 10:48 pm
  • Aaron Brooks has a colossal letdown
Aaron Brooks played just 18 minutes off the bench against the Pacers on Saturday with six points, two rebounds, one assist and three turnovers.

Advice: Ouch. All signs indicated Brooks was set for a big game tonight because he scored 26 points in the last game without Derrick Rose (hamstring). Rose isn't expected to be out for too long, so there's very little reason to be too attached to Brooks right now. Rotoworld.com

  • Solomon Hill has first double-double vs. CHI
Solomon Hill had the first double-double of his career on Saturday during a 99-90 win over the Bulls, scoring 21 points with 12 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.

Advice: After a horrific start in the preseason and in the first four games of the year, Hill has really turned it on. He's getting to the line more and has seen his usage rate jump to 22.8 over his last five outings, averaging 16.6 points, 7.2 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 triples. The Arizona Wildcat has done enough recently to pick him up in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 8:47 pm
  • Donald Sloan losing playing time to Price
Donald Sloan played 25 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday with six points, seven assists and one 3-poiniter.

Advice: It's pretty obvious the Pacers aren't going to play him 43 minutes like they did back on Nov. 5 and he's been below 30 for three of his last four games. Sloan is still doing enough in assists and treys while keeping his turnovers down, so he's still a low-end fantasy option in standard leagues right now. Rotoworld.com

  • Derrick Favors shoots the ball well Saturday
Derrick Favors made 9-of-11 from the field for 18 points in a 111-93 loss to the Raptors on Saturday with six rebounds, two assists and one turnover.

Advice: He started fast, but the Raptors were clearly committed to keeping him in check in the second half. Favors has shot 9-of-11 in two of his last three games with a 21-12 double-double sandwiched in between. He's rolling for his fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com
    Nov 15, 8:05 pm
  • Kris Humphries plays 26 minutes
Kris Humphries played 26 minutes off the bench against the Magic on Saturday with 16 points, six rebounds and one block.

Advice: It's his second game in a row with at least 25 minutes and he's created a nice little role for himself. Humphries has been the primary bench big man and is an option in deep leagues. He could also be a solid pickup if/when Nene goes down. Rotoworld.com

  • Raymond Felton (ankle) is still not ready
Raymond Felton (ankle) is still not ready serve his suspension on Saturday, but will likely do so on Monday according to coach Carlisle.

Advice: He has a four-game suspension waiting for him when he is fit to play due to gun charges, so if he is ready to go on Monday, then that would mean he could return on Nov. 24. However, the backcourt in Dallas is crowded and there is no reason for owners in standard leagues to give him any attention. Rotoworld.com

  • Boozer nears 20 and 10 game in loss
Carlos Boozer scored 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting with eight rebounds and two steals in Friday's loss to the Spurs.

Advice: Boozer is going to get hot like this every once in a while and owners should take what they get and be ready to move on when he cools off. His upside is practically nil in standard formats. Rotoworld.com

  • Henry Sims blocks three, scores 14 points
Henry Sims scored 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting with three rebounds and three blocks over 30 minutes in Friday's loss to the Rockets.

  • Smith scores nine points as Shump goes out
J.R. Smith scored nine points on 4-of-7 shooting (including a three) with two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 21 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Iman Shumpert left with a hip injury and if he's going to miss any time it's possible that Derek Fisher turns to Smith, but there were some in the New York press that thought he may have been benched for bad defense. He and Tim Hardaway (16 minutes, three points, 1-of-6 FGs) should be watched, with Smith having a clear edge on the fantasy-deficient Hardaway and neither are close to being must-add players. • Favors goes for 21 and 12 with three blocks
Derrick Favors went for 21 and 12 with three blocks in Friday's road win over the Knicks.

  • Kanter plays 12 minutes against the Knicks
Enes Kanter played just 12 minutes against the Knicks on Friday, scoring six points with five rebounds and no steals or blocks.

Advice: So much for any momentum gained earlier in the week. The Knicks played small and unless there is some unknown injury it appears as if Quin Snyder simply went small, but it's not a great sign that Kanter's minutes are subject to this type of swing. Weigh out your options and consider a drop if you're looking at a hot free agent. Rotoworld.com
