Al Jefferson (groin) will play against the Thunder on Friday.

Advice: He's had a couple hiccups with his groin in the past week and has worked out on the stationary bike during the game. Jefferson is good to go and should be in all lineups tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • Zaza Pachulia getting the start at center
Zaza Pachulia will start at center against the Hawks on Friday.

Advice: John Henson is expected to come off the bench behind Zaza, so the team won't need him to play too many minutes. Although, Henson hasn't played more than 21 minutes in any game this season and has been out since Nov. 25, so expect Zaza to play around 30 tonight. Rotoworld.com

    • O.J. Mayo moving to bench on Friday
O.J. Mayo will come off the bench against the Hawks on Friday.

Advice: Coach Jason Kidd said he wants to see how Mayo fared in the second unit, which sounds like a nice way of saying he's going to cut his playing time. Mayo has made just 4-of-14 from the field in his last two games and is not worth using in almost any league tonight. Rotoworld.com

Kevin Durant (ankle) is getting closer to playing and was at shootaround on Friday, but he will not play against the Hornets.

Advice: It sounds like Sunday is a possibility for KD, but it's pretty clear the Thunder won't be rushing him back. Expect to see a lot of Russell Westbrook and Reggie Jackson against the Hornets. Perry Jones will start and is only a play in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Varejao undergoes surgery to repair Achilles
Anderson Varejao underwent surgery on Friday to repair his torn Achilles and he will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season.

Advice: The Cavs surprised everyone by starting Shawn Marion, and not Tristan Thompson, on Christmas but Thompson ended up playing more minutes during that game anyway. It seems like only a matter of time until Thompson finds himself in the starting lineup, and for that reason he should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Al Jefferson (groin) probable for Friday
Al Jefferson (groin) is being listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Thunder.

    • Deron Williams doesn't play down the stretch
Deron Williams played 21 minutes against the Celtics on Friday during a 109-107 win on Friday with eight points, four rebounds, four assists and one turnover.

Advice: He did not play down the stretch because Jarrett Jack played his best game of the season. There are a lot of rumors flying around regarding Williams, but he would likely start no matter where he's dealt. Expect his minutes to increase more as the team gains confidence he D-Will can stay healthy. Rotoworld.com

    • Brook Lopez plays 14 minutes
Brook Lopez played just 14 minutes off the bench against the Celtics on Friday with eight points, one rebound and one turnover.

Advice: He did not play down the stretch and coach Lionel Hollins seems to be gaining confidence in Mason Plumlee. Lopez's minutes should rise into the upper 20s, so he should be a mid-round guy once he gets it going. He's a buy-low option because his fantasy owner will likely give him away at a severe discount. • Brandan Wright plays six minutes
Brandan Wright played six minutes against the Nets on Friday with four points, one rebound, one assist and one steal.

Advice: The Celtics didn't make the Rondo deal for Wright and chances are he's just another trade piece for a draft pick. Wright is a great fit for a team with perimeter shooting, but the Celtics are unlikely to give him more than 20 minutes per game any time soon. He's not worth owning in standard leagues. • Jeff Green scores 22 points against Nets
Jeff Green scored 22 points on 10-of-18 from the field on Friday to go with three rebounds, five assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He was struggling in his time with Rondo off the court, making just 38.7 percent from the field in his 296 minutes without Rondo next to him this season. Green was fine while Rondo was out last year, so there's no need to be too worried. Green is worth owning now, but any trade would likely hurt his fantasy value quite a bit. Rotoworld.com

    • Jameer Nelson plays 17 minutes off bench
Jameer Nelson played 17 minutes off the bench against the Nets on Friday with five points, three rebounds, eight assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: While it's a nice line in his brief playing time, Nelson isn't the answer for the Celtics and he's very unlikely to get another start while Marcus Smart is healthy. He's only going to be worth owning in very deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • LaMarcus Aldridge is questionable for Friday
LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) is questionable to play against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: He had an illness keep him out of action on Monday, but he was able to play on Tuesday. Chances are Aldridge is going to suit up, but it wouldn't be a shock to see him sit against Philly. Nicolas Batum (wrist) and LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) are questionable to play against the 76ers on Friday.

Advice: Considering the matchup and how much Batum has struggled with his shot, he's probably a little closer to doubtful tonight. He did not play on Tuesday and it was mostly Allen Crabbe getting some extra run. Coach Terry Stotts plays the matchups a lot, so Crabbe is still an extremely risky play. Rotoworld.com

Advice: That suggests Donatas Motiejunas will start again. There were rumors that Smith wouldn't agree to joining a team unless he starts, so that will likely be happening soon. Josh Smith has officially signed with Houston, and he's set to make his Rockets debut Friday vs. the Grizzlies.

Advice: Smith will likely start which will send Donatas Motiejunas to the bench. However, the Rockets were forced to cut Tarik Black in order to make room for Smith on the roster, so Motiejunas could see some time as Howard's primary backup with Terrence Jones (leg) still on the shelf. • Deron Williams (calf) coming off the bench
Deron Williams (calf) will come off the bench for Friday's game vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Jarret Jack will draw another start on Friday, but he'll be splitting minutes with Williams, so that's going to hurt his upside. Still, over the past two starts Jack put up averages of 16.0 points, 9.0 assists, and 1.5 steals over 37.5 minutes of action, and he makes for a decent plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Williams is going to be eased back into the rotation, and given his price tag, he'll be an unattractive option in daily leagues. Rotoworld.com

Deron Williams (calf) is headed for a game-time decision for Friday's game vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Beat reporter Tim Bontemps said that even if Williams is available to play, he will come off the bench, so it appears Jarret Jack will have one more game with the starting unit. Through two starts with the Nets this season, Jack is averaging 16.0 points, 9.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game and he'll make for a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues if Williams is unavailable. Josh Smith is hopeful he'll be able to complete his physical and officially sign his deal with Houston early enough on Friday to be available for the Rockets' game vs. the Grizzlies.

Jeff Teague is set to return to the starting lineup for Friday's game vs. the Bucks, according to plugged in beat reporter Chris Vivlamore.

Advice: There was simply no way that Dennis Schroder was going to stick with the starting unit for long with Teague healthy, and it looks like he'll head to the bench on Friday ending his days of standard league relevancy. Teague was putting up early-round value before going down, and is a must-start guy every time he's in uniform. Go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com

    • Jonas Jerebko ready to step into the rotation
Jonas Jerebko is ready for a larger role with the Pistons with the departure of Josh Smith.

Advice: "Obviously, with a 4 man gone - I see myself as a 4 man - a lot more minutes open up in practice and in games," Jerebko said. "I feel like I'm ready to take that step and I'm ready to go in there and battle for them." Jerebko was buried on the bench while Smith was with the team, but now he'll likely be one of the first bigs off the bench. We’ll be monitoring coach Stan Van Gundy’s rotations closely over the coming weeks, and owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach with Jerebko. Rotoworld.com

Chris Paul put on an array of moves during a 100-86 win over the Warriors on Thursday with 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

Advice: After 13 hours of seeing Cliff Paul on TV today, Chris stepped up. Paul's assists have been on the decline lately with only one double-double in his last nine games. In that span, he's averaged 18.9 points, 5.0 boards, 8.2 dimes, 2.3 steals and 1.8 triples. CP3 is still a top-five fantasy player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

Blake Griffin scored 18 points with 15 boards, six assists, two steals, one block and five turnovers in 39 minutes against the Warriors on Thursday.

Advice: It's just his ninth double-double of the season, which is surprising because he notched his 20th double-double of the season on Christmas last year. DeAndre Jordan being such a monster on the glass while Griffin does have career lows in offensive and defensive rebounding rate, which might be due to him passing more. • DeAndre Jordan racking up the boards
DeAndre Jordan grabbed 12 rebounds with 14 points and two blocks against the Warriors on Thursday.

Advice: He is some kind of rebounder. Jordan has eight games with a defensive rebounding rate of at least 40 percent, so it's no surprise he leads the NBA in total rebounding rate at 23.4 percent. He's an absolute monster in boards, blocks and field goal percentage to help offset the disastrous free throw shooting. Rotoworld.com

    • Stephen Curry scores 14 points in full line
Stephen Curry scored 14 points with nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals, one 3-pointer and five turnovers against the Clippers on Thursday.

Advice: He's fared well against the Clippers in his previous two seasons and made at least 50 percent from the field in each of his previous two seasons against them. Curry is in a minor slump at just 27.0 percent from beyond the arc over his last five, averaging 20.2 points, 5.4 boards, 7.8 assists, 3.2 steals and 2.0 triples. Marreese Speights made 4-of-9 from the field and 3-of-6 from the line for 11 points with one rebound, one steal and two turnovers in 22 minutes against the Clippers on Thursday.

Advice: As expected, his usage rate took a hit tonight, but he was still able to get involved on the offensive side. Draymond Green has been too good and David Lee won't take minutes from him, so it will likely be from Speights. His owners in deep leagues should expect a dip. Rotoworld.com

    • Speights Cowboy Saddles Up: Marreese starting
Marreese Speights will start in place of Andrew Bogut (knee) and Festus Ezeli (ankle) against the Clippers on Thursday.

Advice: Bogut has been out for a couple weeks and Festus suffered a sprained ankle on Festivus (Dec. 23), so Speights is the next man up. He has one of the highest usage rates for a big man at 29.0, so that will likely take a hit with more of his minutes coming next to the starters. Still, he is a nice play tonight in all leagues. Advice: The Cavs are reportedly intrigued by going with a small ball lineup, so it appears nothing is imminent on the trade front. Tristan Thompson looks to be the primary beneficiary with Varejao being ruled out for the rest of the season, and he should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com

Josh Smith cleared waivers on Wednesday at 5 pm EST.

Advice: Obviously no team was going to claim Smith and help out the Pistons for their awful contract. He is going to sign with the Rockets for the bi-annual exception at $2.077 million. Interestingly, 25.8 percent of Smith's field goal attempts are long two-pointers of at least 16 feet. On the other hand, only 6.8 percent of the Rockets field goal attempts are long twos. Advice: He has missed Brooklyn's last two games with a slight calf strain but it is a good sing that he is already back practicing. Williams has two more days to heal up before their game against the Celtics so it appears that he has a good shot to play in that one, even if he does come off the bench. Jeff Green is struggling for the Celtics since the trade of Rajon Rondo to the Mavericks, and is averaging 11.8 points on 38.7 percent shooting from the floor in his last three games.

Advice: He is clearly the biggest loser in the Rondo trade, and can't seem to get anything going on offense. To put these numbers in perspective, before the trade he was averaging 19.5 points per game on 44.7 percent shooting. Advice: Varejao collapsed under the basket on Tuesday and couldn't put any weight on his leg while being helped off the court. He had a walking boot and crutches while leaving the arena and all signs point to an extended absence, but the Cavs have yet to officially diagnose the injury. Advice: He shot 9-of-17 from the field and 3-of-4 from the FT line with only two turnovers in 36 minutes, but Blake's terrific game wasn't enough to avoid L.A.'s third loss in four games. Their bench production begins and ends with Jamal Crawford, which is the root of the problem, but Griffin's fantasy owners won't complain as he racks up top-30 value with FT percentage and turnovers excluded. • DeAndre Jordan posts 15 & 22 w/ four blocks
DeAndre Jordan piled up 15 points, 22 rebounds, one assist and four blocks vs. the Hawks on Tuesday, while making seven of his season-high 11 field goals.

Advice: Jordan leads the NBA in rebounding at 13.1 per game, ahead of Andre Drummond (12.6), Tyson Chandler (11.9) and Nikola Vucevic (11.8). He has zero plays called for him in L.A.'s offense, hence the season-high 11 shots, yet he's a first-round fantasy value when you ignore his atrocious FT shooting. The Clippers were questioned for matching Jordan's four-year, $43 million offer sheet in 2011, but that deal will look like a steal compared to what he earns as an unrestricted free agent next summer. • LaMarcus Aldridge OK after eye poke, score 25
LaMarcus Aldridge (illness) had 25 points, nine rebounds and one block in 45 minutes of action during his return on Tuesday, though he made only 9-of-28 FGs before being ejected in overtime.

Advice: He was poked in the eye during the first quarter but quickly returned and should be fine for Friday's game vs. the 76ers, though it never hurts to double-check his status. On a side note, the Blazers' veteran went 7-of-8 from the free throw line on Tuesday, in the process tying Jerome Kersey for third-most free throws made in franchise history (2,071). Rotoworld.com

Brook Lopez (back) came off the Nets' bench on Tuesday, making 3-of-5 shots to finish with six points and four rebounds in just eight minutes of action.

Advice: Lopez was iffy to play and he looked exhausted despite his limited action, so owners should his minutes to slowly ramp up over the Nets' next games on Friday, Saturday and Monday. Mason Plumlee has played very well as a starter in Lopez's absencek, but it should be only a matter of time before he's back in a reserve role. Rotoworld.com

    • Al Jefferson scores 12 with nine boards
Al Jefferson scored 12 points on 6-of-11 shooting Tuesday, adding nine boards, two assists and one block in 31 minutes.

Advice: This was by no means a great performance by Big Al, but we should keep in mind that he has been dealing with a strained left groin that he aggravated in Monday's game. The good news is that he shouldn't be in danger of missing any time, and owners can expect him to bounce-back against the Thunder on Friday. Rotoworld.com

    • Jameer Nelson has 11 assists as Celts starter
Jameer Nelson had nine points, one 3-pointer, four rebounds, 11 assists and four steals in his first start for the Celtics on Tuesday, while turning the ball over once in 30 minutes.

Advice: Celts coach Brad Stevens is experimenting with his lineups in the wake of the Rajon Rondo trade, but it's hard to imagine Nelson holding off rookie Marcus Smart long-term. Nelson's poor shooting (37.4 percent) is a red flag in most fantasy formats, though he could be a reliable source of 3-pointers and assists if given enough minutes. Most owners should take a wait-and-see approach. Rotoworld.com

    • Brandan Wright plays just 13 minutes Tuesday
Brandan Wright was quiet in 13 minutes off the Celtics' bench on Tuesday, going for five points, three rebounds and one block.

Advice: Wright's judicious shot selection and elite FG percentages gave him value in a 20-minute role for the Mavericks, but he belongs on the waiver wire now that he's in Boston. We'll let you know if he carves out a bigger role in the coming weeks. Rotoworld.com

    • Anderson Varejao (ankle) seen in walking boot
Anderson Varejao (ankle) was seen in a walking boot after Tuesday's game and was also using crutches.

Advice: Coach David Blatt said that he was dealing with some type of ankle issue and that he would be re-evaluated on Wednesday morning. It looks like Varejao may see some time on the sidelines so owners would be wise to have a backup plan ready. Tristan Thompson would likely draw the start on Thursday if Varejao can't play. • Anderson Varejao exits with leg/ankle injury
Anderson Varejao was helped to the Cavaliers' locker room after injuring his left leg/ankle during Tuesday's game, and will not return.

Advice: He collapsed under the basket and wasn't able to put any weight on his left leg as he headed off the court. The Cavaliers will re-evaluate him on Wednesday so owners will want to check back for updates. Tristan Thompson would likely shift into the starting lineup if the injury prevents Varejao from playing during Cleveland's back-to-back games on Thursday and Friday. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Jefferson suffered a minor strain to his left groin during Monday's game, but was able to play through it, and it's not looking like it's going to be an issue moving forward. He has a favorable matchup tonight against Milwaukee, so go ahead and get him active. Rotoworld.com

    • Jeff Teague will come off the bench Tuesday
Jeff Teague (hamstring) will come off the bench for Tuesday's game vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Dennis Schroder has been excellent filling in for Teague while he was sidelined, and it looks like the Hawks are going to ease Teague back into the rotation. Still, given Teague's upside, he's pretty much a must-start guy when in uniform. We'll let you know if any word comes out of a minutes restriction. Rotoworld.com

    • Brook Lopez available, but may not play Tues.
Updating a previous report, Lionel Hollins said that Brook Lopez (back) will be available for Tuesday's game vs. the Nuggets, but he may not actually play.

Advice: It looks like if Lopez does play, it's going to be limited minutes off the bench, and it appears Mason Plumlee is going to get one more game with the starting unit. Given Lopez' unclear status, it may be best to bench him until he starts getting things going. Rotoworld.com

    • Jameer Nelson starting, Marcus Smart benched
Jameer Nelson will start for Tuesday's game vs. Orlando, sending Marcus Smart to the bench.

Advice: "We're gonna start Jameer [at PG]. Everyone else is the same," said head coach Brad Stevens. "It's about the rotations I want to try." Nelson has been pretty awful this season, hitting career-lows in points (7.3) and field goal percentage (37.4), so he's not going to be a great play in daily leagues despite the starting label. Stevens is going to be experimenting with his lineups for the coming weeks, but at some point one has to think developing Marcus Smart will become a priority, so he should remain owned in all leagues. • Deron Williams (calf) out Tuesday vs. Denver
Deron Williams (calf) will not suit up for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets.

Advice: It looks like Jarrett Jack will draw another start tonight, and he makes for an excellent plug-and-play option in daily leagues after going for 15 points and 10 assists in his last outing. The Nets don't play again until Friday vs. Boston, so we'll be considering Williams questionable for that one. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

Brook Lopez (back) will play Tuesday vs. the Nuggets.

Tony Allen (eye) is questionable for Friday's game against the Rockets.

Advice: Tayshaun Prince has started the last two with Allen sidelined, but his contributions to the stat sheet have been negligible (zero points in his last outing). Advice: He missed the last week and the Hawks did not miss him whatsoever, winning all three games against teams expected to make the playoffs in the Mavericks, Rockets and Cavs. It's unknown if Teague will play less than his 31.3 minutes per game, but it's not a wild idea considering how well Dennis Schroder played. The Kings and Nets trade talks have "virtually" died, according ton ESPN.com's Chris Broussard.

Blake Griffin scored 22 points against the Spurs on Monday with 22 points, six boards, six assists, one steal, one block and four turnovers in 38 minutes.

Advice: He's hoisting a ton of shots lately with at least 20 in three of his last four games. Griffin blocked his 10th shot of the season tonight, which has probably passed his foul shooting woes for the biggest knock on his fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

Batum posted a usage rate of just 10.5 over his last two games, which dropped his season usage rate to just 14.4 -- the second-lowest usage rate among players with at least 34 minutes per game (DeAndre Jordan). Josh Smith has been linked to the Heat in addition to the Kings, Clippers and Mavericks, but the Rockets remain the apparent frontrunner to sign him once he clears waivers.

Advice: Miami has a clear need at PF with Josh McRoberts (knee) likely done for the season, and the Heat seem like a better fit than the Rockets, but Smith may be lured to Houston by the prospect of playing alongside Dwight Howard in the postseason. It doesn't appear D-Will's calf injury is serious, but given the issues with his ankles, we'd like to see Williams avoid any issues with the lower half. Advice: Nelson also turned the ball over twice in 20 minutes. Anderson Varejao poured in 18 efficient points during Sunday's win over the Grizzlies, adding seven rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes.

    • Deron Williams (calf) out Sunday vs. Detroit
Deron Williams (calf) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Pistons, and Jarret Jack will draw the start.

Advice: Deron's calf injury isn't expected to be serious, but he does usually take a bit longer to recover from injuries than your average player. Jack looks like a solid add in most leagues, and he'll serve as a quality plug-and-play option in daily leagues as long as he's starting. Rotoworld.com

Tony Allen (eye) will not play Sunday vs. the Cavs.

Kevin Durant's (ankle) status for Sunday's game is still uncertain, and coach Scott Brooks will make a decision about 90 minutes prior to tip-off.

Advice: Durant's owners are just thankful that he has a shot to play in this one and that he didn't suffer a setback with his foot. • Jameer Nelson to be active on Sunday vs. Heat
Jameer Nelson will be active for Sunday's outing against Miami.

Advice: He was terrible for Dallas, and with the Celtics rebuilding there is not a lot to love here. The Celtics are enamored with rookie point guard Marcus Smart, and are going to give him every chance to succeed. Nelson can be cut in most leagues while Smart is now a must-own option for his upside. Rotoworld.com

    • Brandan Wright expected to play Sunday
Brandan Wright will be available to play on Sunday vs. the Heat.

Advice: It will be interesting to see how coach Brad Stevens uses Wright considering how crowded the frontcourt is at the moment. However, Wright is one of the most efficient players in the league and has too much talent to not see playing time with the Celtics. Owners in deeper leagues would be wise to take a gamble here, while owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach. Rotoworld.com

    • Blake Griffin scores 24 with eight dimes
Blake Griffin handed out eight assists against the Bucks during a 106-102 win on Saturday, scoring 24 points with six rebounds and one steal.

Advice: The assists have been the story lately with 6.4 per game over his last five to go with averages of 23.0 points, 9.4 boards and 1.4 steals. Griffin is posting career highs in usage rate and assist percentage while turning in a career low in turnover percentage. He's not just a freak athlete anymore. Rotoworld.com

    • Chris Paul scores 27 points with nine dimes
Chris Paul scored a game-high 27 points against the Bucks on Saturday three rebounds, nine assists, two steals, one block and four 3-pointers.

Advice: He only turned the ball over twice and has fixed his issues from earlier this month. Paul had a season-high 11 makes from the line tonight and is making 88 percent from the line on the season. He lost a little bit of steam and James Harden has leapfrogged him for No. 3 on fantasy value. Still, No. 4 is just fine. Rotoworld.com

O.J. Mayo scored three points in 23 minutes against the Clippers on Saturday with one rebound, three assists and two turnovers.

Advice: Well, he had three solid outings before this one, but a sub-par game from Mayo is nothing new. He only has season averages of 0.7 steals, 1.2 triples and 0.2 blocks to go with 1.9 turnovers, so there really are not enough positives to add him in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

Al Jefferson tweaked his groin in Saturday's win over the Jazz, finishing with 19 points, 10 boards and one assist in 27 minutes.

Advice: He suffered the injury in the fourth quarter and did not return, but Big Al said after the game that he could have played if the team needed him. The injury doesn't appear to be serious, so we will leave him off of the injury report for now. LaMarcus Aldridge made 12-of-20 from the field for 27 points against the Pelicans on Saturday during a 114-88 win, adding 12 rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks in 29 minutes.

Advice: It's not often Anthony Davis isn't the best power forward on the court on a given night, but LMA carved him up all night. He is coming off a 32-point game from Friday and has a double-double in 15 of his last 17 games. The Blazers are on a five-game winning streak and they'll look to extend it on Monday at Houston. Teague should be considered day-to-day moving forward, and we will update his status as soon as we know more. Advice: Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting it, so we know that there is some traction here. Talks are reportedly ongoing, but it is still unclear what other players are involved. Advice: The fact that he was ruled out so quick is a little worrying, but Lopez has been doing some conditioning work and even did some light basketball activities on Saturday. Jeff Teague (hamstring) is still listed as doubtful for Saturday's game vs. the Rockets.

Advice: Even if he was active, he would have gotten the Patrick Beverley treatment so owners can go ahead and bench him. Consider him day-to-day for now and expect Dennis Schroder to draw another start. Shelvin Mack will also see some extra run as well, and just scored a career-high 24 points on Wednesday. Blake Griffin scored 32 points on 9-of-20 shooting (14-of-18 FTs) with 12 rebounds, three assists and one steal in Friday's loss to the Nuggets.

Advice: Griffin's general performance has improved over the last few weeks but his low rebounding totals have kept him from truly capitalizing on the momentum in fantasy leagues. Hopefully for owners this signals the beginning of a comeback in that regard. Chris Paul went for 17 and 15 with three steals and DeAndre Jordan posted 11 and 14 with three steals and a block. Jameer Nelson will not be active for Friday's game vs. the Timberwolves.

Advice: With Marcus Smart (Achilles) being listed as questionable, there's a chance that Evan Turner will draw the start in a favorable matchup vs. the Wolves. Tony Allen (right corneal abrasion) is questionable to play Friday vs. the Bulls.

Advice: If Allen is forced to sit, Quincy Pondexter would likely draw another start, but he doesn't do enough statistically to be considered an option in most leagues. While Allen averages 25.8 minutes per game, he's not a large part of the offense (6.5 FGAs per game) so his absence doesn't have too much of a statistical impact on the player replacing him. Advice: With Marcus Smart (Achilles) being listed as questionable, and Jameer's status uncertain, Evan Turner could draw the start on Friday in a favorable matchup vs. the Timberwolves. Stephen Curry had one of his patented explosions against the Thunder during a 114-109 win on Thursday, scoring 34 points with seven rebounds, nine assists, four steals, one block and five 3-pointers in 42 minutes.

Advice: The Thunder came out firing with a 40-point first quarter, but Curry got it going. He did have a minor ankle scare tonight and it did not cause him to miss time. Marreese Speights had 10 points in 19 minutes against the Thunder on Thursday with five rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

Advice: He has a very high usage rate and should be able to score in the teens while Andrew Bogut (knee) is out. Bogut could miss up to a month, so that means the Speights Cowboy is worth a grab in standard leagues. Some people call him Marreese. Rotoworld.com

O.J. Mayo scored 19 points in just 23 minutes against the Kings on Thursday with two rebounds, one assist, one steal and three 3-pointers.

Advice: He started out red hot with 17 of those 19 coming in the first quarter, but cooled off with some fouling issues. Surprisingly, Mayo's worst quarter this season has been the first and he's been able to exhibit some added effort on both ends. What's more, his fouling has been his biggest issue with at least five fouls in three of his last five. He's more of a player to track in standards, but a big game could change that. Rotoworld.com

Jameer Nelson has been traded to the Celtics.

Advice: He is having an awful year with the Mavericks and perhaps his zero-point game is what forced the team's hand to make a deal. Simply put, this might be the worst year of his career. Chris Paul hit 7-of-14 shots and a 3-pointer for 20 points, six rebounds, nine assists and five steals in Wednesday's win over the Pacers.

    • DeAndre Jordan goes for 15-23-2 in win
DeAndre Jordan abused Roy Hibbert for 15 points, 23 rebounds and two blocks on 4-of-8 shooting on Wednesday.

Advice: He hit just 7-of-15 shooting, but you don't care about his free throw percentage if you own him, as his struggles from the line are not a surprise, nor is he going to improve from there any time soon. DJ's line will be overshadowed by what Andre Drummond did tonight (19 points, 24 rebounds, four steals, three blocks), but Jordan's line was certainly noteworthy. Make a note to play opposing centers against Hibbert and the Pacers going forward. Rotoworld.com

Nicolas Batum had a bad fall against the Bucks on Wednesday, finishing with eight points, six rebounds, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Larry Sanders committed a dirty foul on Batum and he was down for a couple minutes, but he did not miss time at all in tonight's game. O.J. Mayo made 4-of-12 from the field for 12 points with one rebound, two assists, two steals, five fouls and three turnovers in 36 minutes against the Blazers on Wednesday.

Advice: It's the first time he's played 36 minutes in a non-overtime game in the past year and the Bucks losing Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) just before halftime probably had something to do with it. Mayo played 16 minutes in the first half, so the plan was probably to give him around 32 minutes. Conditioning hasn't been an issue for him and he's seen some minutes at small forward this season, so owners in standard leagues can keep him in mind. Advice: He scored more points in the first quarter than any of his previous three games, so this outburst was a surprise. • Report: Brandan Wright in trade talks to BOS
Multiple sources are reporting that the Mavs and Celtics are having serious discussions about a trade that would include Brandan Wright going to Boston for Rajon Rondo.

Advice: Wright had 10 points, five rebounds and three blocks in Wednesday's win over the Magic, but it's hard to say what would happen to his fantasy value if he goes to Boston. Tyler Zeller is starting, Kelly Olynyk is playing at a high level and Jared Sullinger can also play center. In other words, a move to Boston may not be a bad thing for Wright, but we doubt it makes him a must-own player, either, as long as the aforementioned bigs remain in Beantown. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Devin Harris had eight points, nine assists and two 3-pointers off the bench, and is clearly the better play right now. This could all be a moot point soon though, as ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that the Mavs are in serious discussions with the Celtics in a deal that would send Rajon Rondo to Dallas for a package that would include C Brandan Wright. The Celtics have been trying to include Jeff Green in part of a trade of Rajon Rondo.

Advice: The Celtics will do anything for a high draft pick. Green has played well and has made 48.0 percent from the field in his last 10, averaging 21.3 points per game in that span. Ryan Hollins returned to the bench on Tuesday in favor of Reggie Evans, and finished with six points, nine boards and three assists in 17 minutes.

Advice: He actually played really well in limited minutes and even caused some problems for the Thunder in the paint. However, even as a starter Hollins wasn't an option in most fantasy leagues, so the fact that he is coming off the bench means he can be cut across the board. Rotoworld.com

    • Marreese Speights drops 18-8-2 line in loss
Marreese Speights came off the bench for 18 points, eight rebounds and two blocks on 7-of-14 shooting in 26 minutes on Tuesday.

Advice: With news that Andrew Bogut's knee injury might be more serious than we were initially led to believe, Picking up Speights might be a good idea. He usually gets just 19 minutes a game, but saw more than that tonight and could be a very effective fantasy player if Bogut is going to miss extended time. Rotoworld.com

    • Steph Curry hits 1-of-10 treys as streak ends
Stephen Curry hit just 9-of-25 shots and 1-of-10 3-pointers for 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals in Tuesday's loss to the Grizzlies, the Warriors first since Nov. 11.

Advice: The Grizzlies play solid defense and the Warriors could have used Andrew Bogut, or Harrison Barnes being at 100 percent, which would have helped them keep the 16-game winning streak alive. We're not going to lie and say the Warriors are glad the streak is over, but the pressure is off and they'll no longer have to hear about it every day, which has to be viewed as a good thing. With tonight's loss the Warriors are still a league best 21-3. Rotoworld.com

    • Ryan Hollins benched in favor of Reggie Evans
Ryan Hollins will come off of the bench behind Reggie Evans for Tuesday's game vs. the Thunder.

Advice: This move was long overdue, as Hollins failed to make an impact for the Kings in the starting lineup. There is a chance that DeMarcus Cousins (illness) could return on Thursday, so Evans is only worth a look as a daily plug-and-play or for owners looking for short-term value. Hollins on the other hand, should not be owned in almost all leagues. Rotoworld.com

    • Blake Griffin posts 18-7-7 line in blowout
Blake Griffin scored 18 points on 7-of-16 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block in Monday's blowout win over the Pistons.

Advice: Griffin has rehabilitated his season-long value into the top 50-60 range and he's been a solid top-30 play over the last two weeks. It wouldn't be surprising if he continues along that trajectory. Rotoworld.com

    • Aldridge goes for 23 and 14 in win over Spurs
LaMarcus Aldridge scored 23 points on 10-of-21 shooting with 14 rebounds and one steal in Monday's win over the Spurs.

Advice: Aldridge will have to do some extra work without Robin Lopez (hand) around to occupy opposing teams' big men so it wouldn't be surprising if his efficiency took a small hit. Lopez does a lot to attract rebounding attention from other teams too, so that focus could shift over to him and make his life harder. That or he'll have more rebounds available to grab. It's a toss-up in that respect. Rotoworld.com

    • Jefferson's struggles continue against Cavs
Al Jefferson scored 14 points with eight rebounds but did not have any steals or blocks on Monday against the Cavs.

Advice: Jefferson hit 7-of-13 shots and it wasn't his worst night, but beat writer Rick Bonnell did comment after the game that the big man hasn't played up to expectations this season. A top 60-75 value on the season in 9- and 8-cat leagues, respectively, especially if Lance Stephenson heads out there is a small buy low window. Rotoworld.com
