  • Mo Williams still sick, iffy vs. Bucks
Mo Williams missed shootaround Wednesday and is a game-time decision against the Bucks.

Advice: Williams has been sick for several days now and while it's possible he'll play tonight, it would not be surprising to see rookie Zach LaVine running the point for the Wolves tonight. Rotoworld.com

  • Dwyane Wade practices, 'hopes' for Sunday
Dwyane Wade, who has missed seven straight games with a hamstring injury, was taking part in "explosive drill practice" on Wednesday.

Advice: The Heat are off until Sunday at New York and if Wade is doing those kind of drills, you'd have to think he might be ready to go four days from now. He says he's "hoping" to play on Sunday, but there's no way to tell given Wade's injury history. Rotoworld.com

  • Mario Chalmers leaves practice with illness
Mario Chalmers left Wednesday's practice due to an illness.

  • Mike Miller heading toward starting gig?
Mike Miller isn't expected to start for the Cavaliers on Wednesday, but Dave McMenamin is suggesting that it could happen sooner than later.

Advice: Miller would likely replace Shawn Marion at shooting guard, and while it's a good idea in theory, we can't imagine Miller's body being able to handle more than 20 minutes a game, and even that could result in an early injury for the fragile sharp shooter. Rotoworld.com

Marcus Smart, who has been out with an ankle injury, is expected to practice on Wednesday, according to coach Brad Stevens.

Evan Fournier will be a game-time call on Wednesday due to a quad injury.

Ex Grizziles guard Jamaal Franklin could return to the NBA in January.

Advice: He's currently playing in China and scored scored 53 points on 19-of-29 shooting yesterday. He's eligible for a return to the NBA in January, but regardless of where he lands, 53 points might be a good over-under for the total points he might score over the last few months of season. J.R. Smith is expected to start at forward in place of Carmelo Anthony (back) on Wednesday, according to coach Derek Fisher.

  • Derrick Rose (hamstring) rested as precaution
Derrick Rose (hamstring tightness) sat out the second half of Tuesday's game as a precaution, and he "didn't feel anything pop or pull" prior to his exit.

Advice: Tom Thibodeau asked Rose to sit out the second half and Rose agreed. The Bulls' former MVP was very tentative during the first half, as he was during Monday's game, but Thibodeau is hopeful that a few days of rest will have Rose ready to go for Friday's game in Boston. When asked if Rose would require an MRI, Thibs replied, "I don’t believe so. I think he's fine." Fantasy owners have played this game long enough to distrust the Bulls' injury updates, however, and we're unlikely to learn Rose's status until close to tip-off on Friday. Rotoworld.com

  • Jimmy Butler's 32 points not enough vs Denver
Jimmy Butler set a new career high with 20 free throw attempts on Tuesday, making 18 of them to finish with 32 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one steal in a loss to the Nuggets.

Advice: Butler has been unbelievable to begin the season, embracing an expanded offensive role without letting up defensively in nearly 40 minutes per game. He's taken a massive leap into top-10 fantasy value and shows no signs of letting up, though his huge workload may take a toll physically as the season progresses. Congratulations to all those owners who snagged Butler in the middle rounds on draft day. Rotoworld.com

  • Aaron Brooks scores 16 points in 22 minutes
Aaron Brooks scored 16 points in 22 minutes in Tuesday's road loss, taking advantage of extra playing time following Derrick Rose's departure with hamstring tightness.

Advice: Brooks has scored double-digit points in four straight games and he's worth deploying if you need scoring and 3-point shooting, with a trickle of steals and assists. Rose is questionable to return for Friday's game, so anyone targeting Brooks should keep an eye on Chicago's ever-changing injury report. Rotoworld.com

  • Kirk Hinrich (chest) plays well in return
Kirk Hinrich returned from a chest injury vs. the Nuggets on Tuesday, scoring 10 points with eight assists and one steal in 31 minutes off the bench.

Advice: He made two 3-pointers and Derrick Rose left early with hamstring tightness, which opened up more minutes in the second half for Hinrich and Aaron Brooks. Hinrich should start vs. the Celtics on Friday if Rose can't suit up, but even as the Bulls' starting PG he's a mediocre fantasy option. Rotoworld.com

  • Ty Lawson leads Nuggets w/ 20 pts, 12 dimes
Ty Lawson posted 20 points, one 3-pointer, 12 assists, three steals and a rare block in Tuesday's win over the visiting Bulls.

Advice: This was Lawson's second 20 & 10 game of the season, the last one coming on Nov. 17, and he's averaging a terrific 16.3 points, 0.8 threes, 2.4 rebounds, 9.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He started out slow and missed one game with a lingering ankle injury but has since played without any physical limitations, so fantasy owners can look confidently toward his rest-of-season output. • Derrick Rose exits Tuesday w/ tight hamstring
Derrick Rose will not return to Tuesday's game due to left hamstring tightness.

Advice: Rose's left hamstring caused him to miss four games prior to his return on Monday, and he didn't last long before going back on the injury report. The daily guessing game about his status will continue on Friday when the Bulls play in Boston. Considering the Bulls' protective stance regarding their former MVP, and the fact that hamstring injuries are easy to aggravate, we're not optimistic that he'll be in uniform vs. Rajon Rondo and the Celtics. Check back for updates on Tuesday, and anticipate Kirk Hinrich starting at PG if Rose misses more games. Rotoworld.com

  • Mario Chalmers ice cold after first quarter
Mario Chalmers started out hot on Tuesday, but shot 0-of-8 after the first quarter to finish with 14 points, two 3-pointers, four assists, four steals and one blocks.

Advice: Chalmers shot 4-of-17 overall but he turned the ball over just once in 37 minutes. He had the unenviable task of slowing down Stephen Curry defensively, which he failed to do as Curry dropped 40 points in the Warriors' road win. The Heat are just 4-5 in their home games, but they're still above .500 with an 8-7 record. Rotoworld.com

  • Derrick Rose (hamstring) starting vs. Nuggets
Derrick Rose (hamstring) will play on Tuesday, as expected.

Advice: He was technically listed as 'probable' and the Bulls have been understandably protective of Rose early in the season, so fantasy owners are wise to check his status before every game. He scored 18 points in a somewhat passive performance on Monday and we can only hope he'll continue to build on that performance without any health-related setbacks. Rotoworld.com

Kirk Hinrich (chest) will play vs. the Nuggets on Tuesday.

  • Gary Neal (shoulder) doubtful for Wednesday
Gary Neal (sprained left shoulder) is being listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game vs. Portland.

Advice: If Neal is unable to go, his minutes would be split up between Gerald Henderson, Brian Roberts, and potentially P.J. Hairston if he's able to suit up. • Derrick Rose (hamstring) probable for Tuesday
Derrick Rose (hamstring) is being listed as probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Nuggets.

Advice: Owners will want to check back for an official update on Rose's status as we draw closer to Tuesday's tip, but it's looking like he'll try and give it a go. Rose is coming off an 18-point outing vs. Utah, and has a favorable matchup tonight against the Nuggets. If he plays, Aaron Brooks won't be worth using in daily leagues. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

  • Mike Miller runs w/ starter during practice
Mike Miller ran with the starting unit during Tuesday's practice, but head coach David Blatt hasn't yet made a decision who will start at shooting guard on Wednesday.

Advice: This is something worth watching, as Shawn Marion's status as the starting SG has always been viewed as a short-term experiment. Rookie Joe Harris' name has come up as a potential starter in the past, but his minutes have come down a bit and it appears he's lost some momentum. Miller is a quality 3-point shooter, and LeBron James is a fan of him from their days together in Miami. Owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach with Miller, but it's certainly a situation worth monitoring. Rotoworld.com

  • Dwyane Wade (hamstring) ruled out for Tuesday
Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will not play against the Warriors on Tuesday.

Advice: This will be his seventh game out of the lineup and at this rate he's going to play even less games than his 54 from last season. Wade does not have a timetable to return and his owners should have him benched until he's back on the court. Mario Chalmers has really stepped up lately while the Heat will use plenty of two-point guard lineups. Rotoworld.com

Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said that Derrick Rose (hamstring) is not real comfortable right now.

Advice: Rose scored 18 points with five assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers during Monday's win over the Jazz, but will be listed as day-to-day for Tuesday's game against Denver. "I thought he did a lot of good things," Thibodeau said. "You could see he's not real comfortable with the ball yet, but that will come. When Derrick strings some games together, he's going to take off." We'll update Rose's status as soon as possible, but Aaron Brooks would get a value boost if D-Rose is unable to play Tuesday. Advice: Tom Thibodeau was reportedly frustrated after the game according to beat writer Nick Friedell. When asked if he would play in Denver, Thibs said "I would hope so. Jeez. We'll see tomorrow I guess." Thibs added, "When Derrick strings some games together he's going to take off. He's got to go. That's the bottom line. He's got to go." Jimmy Butler scored 25 points on 8-of-16 shooting (1-of-2 from deep, 8-of-9 from the line) with two rebounds, two assists and four steals in Monday's win.

Aaron Brooks scored 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 23 minutes on Monday.

Advice: With the Bulls' point guard position in constant flux, there's not a lot to hang onto here for owners. If you want to move on, it makes sense, but if you want to see if he's the last point guard standing you better know it's a risky stash. Rotoworld.com

  • Smith struggles to produce on Monday
J.R. Smith logged 19 minutes on Monday, scoring eight points on 3-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with three boards, two assists and one steal.

Advice: Smith is worth watching in the event Carmelo Anthony's injuries are more serious rather than less serious, but so far with Anthony traveling to Dallas with the team this isn't close to a run-to-the-wire moment. Tim Hardaway Jr. (five points, 15 minutes) falls into the same boat and is a cut below Smith. Rotoworld.com

  • Fournier quiet against the Cavs
Evan Fournier scored just eight points with one block and one trey in Monday's blowout loss to the Cavs.

Advice: Fournier has earned a degree of patience so far and his role isn't in jeopardy. Stay the course unless things worsen. The same can be said of Channing Frye (three points, three boards, one steal, 1-of-4 FGs) to an even greater degree. Rotoworld.com

Advice: Previously listed as doubtful, Hinrich must be feeling better than anticipated. Hinrich is a tough player, but it would be a little surprising to see him return as soon as Monday's game. With Derrick Rose (hamstring) also iffy, Aaron Brooks could be in line to start at point guard. E'Twaun Moore would also see some run if Rose and Hinrich sit. Rotoworld.com

  • Rose, Gasol both game-time calls on Monday
Derrick Rose (hamstring) and Pau Gasol (calf) are both game-time decisions on Monday against Utah.

Advice: Previously Rose was questionable, so that's nothing new. Gasol was being listed as probable, and there's no use in guessing with Chicago's injury situation since the designations are largely meaningless in their reports. Gasol should play, but we've already been burned by his being "probable" before this season. With Kirk Hinrich (chest) questionable at best, Aaron Brooks and E'Twaun Moore would likely be the Bulls' point guards if Rose doesn't play. • Ty Lawson drops 16 assists in overtime win
Ty Lawson set a new season high with 16 assists in Sunday's overtime win vs. the Lakers, adding 18 points on 5-of-10 FGs and 7-of-10 FTs.

Advice: This was a foreseeable performance since the Lakers are giving up the most points (112.5) of any team in the league, as well as the third-most assists (25.4). Lawson turned the ball over five times and didn't have any steals, which is easy to overlook when his 18 & 16 double-double gets the headline. The best news might be that he logged 44 minutes and is showing no symptoms of the lingering ankle injury which cost him a game back in early November. Rotoworld.com

  • Mario Chalmers drops 20 & 10 in thrilling win
Mario Chalmers continued to shine in a lead role on Sunday, posting 20 points, four rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and one block in 38 minutes vs. the Hornets.

Advice: Kemba Walker's defense is porous and Chalmers wisely attacked the Charlotte defense all night long, resulting in a 9-of-10 mark at the FT line. The return of Dwyane Wade (hamstring) and Norris Cole (finger) will inevitably cut into Chalmers' production, but he's playing too well to drop off very much. In four starts this year he's averaged 19.3 points, 1.3 triples, 2.8 boards, 5.3 assists and 1.8 steals, while making 55.3 percent of his shots. Nasty. Rotoworld.com

Marcus Smart (ankle) is hopeful he'll be able to return to practice next week, but his status for Friday's game vs. the Bulls remains unknown.

Advice: Even if Smart is able to suit up for Friday's game, he'll likely have a minutes restriction, making him an unattractive play in most leagues. He's averaging 6.8 points, 1.2 assists, and 1.2 steals on the season, and he's just not worth owning in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Hornets.

Advice: That's six games and counting for Wade, and he remains without a definitive return date. Mario Chalmers has been the main beneficiary of Wade's absence, and he's currently averaging 19.3 points, 5.3 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.3 three-pointers with the starting unit. Mario Chalmers was in total control of the offense against the Magic on Saturday, making 10-of-16 from the field for 24 points with five rebounds, eight assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

Advice: His defense wasn't as bad as usual in this game either. Chalmers' ability to play both guard spots has been huge for the Heat right now and he'll certainly earn his minutes even when Dwyane Wade (hamstring) is back, especially because Wade's minutes will be monitored. Mo Williams continued his strong play as the Wolves' starting PG on Saturday, handing out 12 assists with 11 points on 5-of-16 shooting in 35 minutes.

Advice: The field goal percentage wasn't great, but Mo chipped in a 3-pointer and he's really found a groove since overtaking Zach LaVine for the starting job in Ricky Rubio's absence. He's averaging 13.3 points, 1.7 triples, 1.8 rebounds and 9.7 assists in the past three games. Advice: The Magic are really going tiny here without Tobias Harris (calf) and it's just a testament to how coach Jacque Vaughn sees Fournier as the French version of a Swiss army knife. Fournier should be owned in all standard leagues until he cools off, which may not even happen this season. Rotoworld.com

  • Marcus Smart still not ready to play Sunday
Marcus Smart (ankle) will not play on Sunday against the Blazers.

Advice: It seems hard to believe that he is even close to a return after an ugly ankle injury. The Celtics are off until Friday following Sunday's game, so perhaps Smart will be ready for that contest. Phil Pressey should get some extra run tomorrow while Marcus Thornton and Evan Turner also see a bump. Rotoworld.com

  • P.J. Hairston out Sunday, doubtful for Monday
P.J. Hairston (ankle) won't play on Sunday and is doubtful for Monday's game vs. the Clippers.

Advice: Hairston was gaining some momentum with the Hornets' short on healthy swingmen, but the rookie went down himself on Monday and needs a few more days to recuperate. He could return Wednesday vs. the Trail Blazers, but would still face significant competition from Gary Neal and Gerald Henderson. Rotoworld.com

  • Dwyane Wade out, Norris Cole doubtful vs. ORL
Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will miss his fifth consecutive game on Saturday.

Advice: Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier should get all the minutes they can handle, especially with Norris Cole (hand) also doubtful to suit up. Miami's lack of depth will likely require bench guys like Shannon Brown, Danny Granger and James Ennis to step into significant roles as the Heat look to avoid their fifth loss in six games. Wade did some light work during shootaround and is questionable for Sunday's home game. Rotoworld.com

  • Aaron Brooks stinks in 24 minutes
Aaron Brooks played only 24 minutes against the Blazers during a 105-87 loss, scoring 12 points with two rebounds, three assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.

Advice: The Bulls did not have Kirk Hinrich (chest) or Derrick Rose (hamstring) tonight, but this game was a blowout. Brooks should get more run on Monday with Hinrich and Rose very questionable to play. His owners shouldn't panic, but he's obviously not a must-own player because he is more of a stop-gap fantasy option. Rotoworld.com

  • Jimmy Butler has an overdue dud vs. POR
Jimmy Butler scored nine points with four rebounds, two assists and one steal on 3-of-13 from the field against the Blazers on Friday.

Advice: He's been one of the best players in the NBA this season and obviously gets a pass here. Butler's shot selection wasn't as great tonight, but there is no need to worry thanks to taking much smarter shots throughout the season. He'll likely get it going again on Monday against the Jazz. • Mo Williams scores 15 points against SA
Mo Williams made 6-of-14 from the field for 15 points with two rebounds, four assists and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes against the Spurs on Friday.

Advice: It seems clear coach Flip Saunders isn't going to flip-flop on his starting point guard and Mo is here to stay. He should be able to score in the teens with some dimes, treys and steals now that the Wolves are currently missing 80 percent of their opening night starting lineup. • Hinrich hopes to return after the weekend
Kirk Hinrich (chest) is hoping to return this weekend according to Bulls.com writer Sam Smith.

Advice: "I hope I’m better (Saturday)," said Hinrich. "Today was tough." Aaron Brooks is a good speculative pickup with Derrick Rose (hamstring) still day-to-day with no discernible timetable and Hinrich sort of in the same boat. Just know the run could be short-lived for Brooks if his teammates return quickly. Rotoworld.com

  • Fournier (heel) scores 21 points in return
Evan Fournier returned from his one-game absence due to a heel injury on Friday, scoring 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting with one rebound, one assists and one 3-pointer over 33 minutes.

Advice: Fournier started once again and also hit 6-of-9 shots from the foul line. This line highlights some of his versatility problems but it's otherwise getting the job done and he should be in most lineups. Rotoworld.com

  • Evan Fournier (heel) will start on Friday
Evan Fournier (heel) will return to the starting lineup on Friday, sending Willie Green to the bench.

Advice: He suffered the injury in the fourth quarter and has been diagnosed with a chest contusion. Hinrich has missed a lot of time with bumps and bruises in his career, so Aaron Brooks makes sense as a pickup in all leagues right now. Expect E'Twaun Moore to get more run, too. Rotoworld.com

  • Evan Fournier (heel) says he can play Friday
Evan Fournier (heel) said that he thinks he'll be able to suit up for Friday's game vs. the Hornets.

Advice: This isn't official, but things are looking positive for Fournier. If he does suit up, Willie Green would head back to the bench where he would go back to being irrelevant in all fantasy leagues. Stay tuned for an official update as we draw closer to Friday's tip. Rotoworld.com

  • Aaron Brooks scores 12 points in a loss
Aaron Brooks played down the stretch against the Kings during a 103-88 loss on Thursday, scoring 12 points with two rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Kirk Hinrich (chest) suffered an injury tonight and the extent is not yet known. If Hinrich is out, Brooks would pick up all the minutes he can handle. Considering it's just a chest injury, fantasy owners shouldn't be too aggressive on adding Brooks. Rotoworld.com

  • X-rays are negative on Kirk Hinrich (chest)
X-rays were negative on Kirk Hinrich's chest and he was diagnosed with a contusion following Thursday's game against the Kings.

Advice: He didn't play at the end of the game, but that doesn't necessarily mean his injury had anything to do with it. Hinrich finished with nine points, three rebounds, seven assists and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes. If he is going to miss time, Aaron Brooks would almost become a must add as the only healthy point guard who is in the rotation. E'Twaun Moore would also get in the rotation. Rotoworld.com

  • Jimmy Butler scores 23 points
Jimmy Butler scored 23 points against the Kings on Thursday with eight rebounds, one assist, two steals and three turnovers.

Advice: He operated out of the post quite a bit, but he had nine of his 11 makes come off an assist tonight. Butler has been the go-to option for the Bulls these days, but his usage takes a massive hit when Derrick Rose (hamstring) is on the floor. He's putting up first-round value right now. Rotoworld.com

  • Mario Chalmers starts at PG in second half
Mario Chalmers started at point guard during the second half of Thursday's 110-93 loss to the Clippers, finishing with 13 points, one rebound, three assists, three steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: Norris Cole (finger) was unable to return to action following an injury in the first half. Chalmers had a couple really careless turnovers and he's certainly not the most consistent player in the NBA. His minutes seem extremely safe right now and he should be starting in most leagues with Miami banged up. Rotoworld.com

  • P.J. Hairston (ankle) will not play Friday
P.J. Hairston (ankle) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Magic.

Advice: This will be Hairston's second consecutive missed game, but he really wasn't doing much when he was healthy. Gerald Henderson will likely draw another start on Friday with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) also sidelined, and he'll look to bounce-back from a scoreless performance vs. the Pacers on Wednesday. Hairston doesn't offer enough upside to be worth a stash, and he can be cut in most leagues. Rotoworld.com

Gary Neal (concussion) is being listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Magic.

Advice: Neal still needs to pass the leagues' concussion protocol, but it's looking like he's very close to making a return. He's averaging 12.2 points and 1.2 three-pointers per game this season, so he's worth a look for owners seeking a 3-point specialist upon his return. Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will not suit up for Thursday's game vs. the Clippers.

Advice: This marks the fourth consecutive game Wade will be sidelined with this hamstring injury, and Mario Chalmers will continue to start as long as Wade is out. Chalmers has been great with the starting unit, averaging 20.0 points, 5.0 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 three-pointer per game, and he should be in all active lineups on a night with just two games being played. • Marcus Smart (ankle) doubtful for Sunday
Marcus Smart (ankle) said that he doubts he'll play Sunday, and he remains without a definitive return date.

Advice: "I couldn’t really tell you [an expected return date]. It just depends," Smart said. "One day my body feels good, probably one day it doesn’t. I’ve got to listen to my body." Smart was able to do some straight-line movement during Thursday's practice, but still is unable to do anything side-to-side. He may be able resume practicing next week, and after Sunday's game vs. Portland the Celtics don't play again until Friday, Nov. 28. We'll consider Smart questionable for that one, and we'll be monitoring his status closely. However, with averages of just 6.8 points, 1.2 assists, and 1.2 steals, he’s not a viable option in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Mo Williams to start for the Timberwolves?
Mo Williams looked great in a starting role on Wednesday and his play has head coach Flip Saunders thinking about sticking with him in that role.

Advice: With rookie Zach LaVine scuffling, Williams provided the Wolves with a spark during their win over the Knicks on Wednesday. "Big difference," Kevin Martin said. "When Mo came in and got me going. He’s just a veteran point guard in the backcourt with you. He knows your spots." Flip Saunders used the phrase "big difference" to describe the swap of Williams and LaVine in the starting lineup, so fantasy owners in all leagues will want to take a flier on Williams while Ricky Rubio (ankle) is out. Advice: He somehow didn't hit a 3-pointer in either of his last two games, but has now hit double digits in assists in three of his last four games, which were all double-doubles with points. He's rolling right now and is a must-start in any format. Rotoworld.com

Mo Williams looked fantastic in a start against the Knicks on Wednesday with 14 points, three rebounds, 13 assists and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: Why didn't he start immediately following the Ricky Rubio (ankle) injury again? Williams was in complete control of the offense and he's capable of putting up great stats. Mo Williams is starting over Zach LaVine on Wednesday against the Knicks.

Advice: He has been outplaying LaVine and the Wolves may have finally pulled the plug on starting their rookie. Advice: Fournier has no history of heel injuries and coach Jacque Vaughn is hopeful that he'll only miss one game, with the Magic returning to action in a back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday. • Dwyane Wade (hamstring) doubtful for Thursday
Dwyane Wade (left hamstring) is doubtful to play on Thursday night against the Clippers.

Advice: This would be his fourth game out of the lineup and there's a chance he misses some time over the weekend, as well. It's worth mentioning his left leg has been worse than his right and he's needed his left knee drained multiple times over the past few seasons. Mario Chalmers has benefited and will be worth using in all leagues. James Ennis, Shabazz Napier and Norris Cole also benefit. Rotoworld.com

  • Dwyane Wade (hamstring) limited in practice
Dwyane Wade (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, and should be considered questionable for Thursday's game.

Advice: Wade's goal of playing every game this season was quickly shattered last week when he tweaked his hamstring so it's not surprising to see the Heat exercise caution with him. Neal has been a spark off of the Hornet's bench this season and when he returns he will be worth a look for owners in need of 3-pointers. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) is out Wednesday and P.J. • J.R. Smith quiet despite starting Tuesday
The Knicks lost to the visiting Bucks on Tuesday, with J.R. Smith contributing only nine points (3-of-12 shooting), one rebound, three assists, two steals and one block.

Advice: Smith scored 28 points in an expanded role with Iman Shumpert out on Sunday, but he's only scored double-digit points in consecutive games once this season and has been too unreliable for use in most 12-team fantasy leagues. He logged 34 minutes in another start on Tuesday and a sustained starting gig could change the equation, so keep an eye on his role over the next week. Rotoworld.com

  • Marcus Smart (ankle) likely out Wed. & Fri.
Marcus Smart (ankle) will travel with the Celtics for their road games on Wednesday and Friday, but he's not expected to play in either game.

Advice: Smart is progressing nicely after his scary injury and he's already begun shooting around, but he doesn't have a specific return date. Jimmy Butler scored 22 points on 6-of-17 shooting with six rebounds, eight assists, two steals, one three and a 9-of-10 mark from the foul line in Monday's win.

Advice: Butler is returning top-10 fantasy value and it's unclear where his shooting percentages are ultimately going to fall because he has clearly improved. Making an ungodly 80.6 percent from the line on 8.0 attempts per game, we're getting past issues involving small sample size too. Kirk Hinrich scored 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting with four 3-pointers, two rebounds, five assists and three steals in Monday's win over the Clippers.

Advice: This is the type of line owners thought they'd periodically see when he appeared to be the unquestioned starter at point guard over the summer. Advice: He started at SG in place of Dwyane Wade (hamstring) and played well before fouling out in 35 minutes of action. Chalmers is a must-start fantasy option when Wade is sidelined, but on the season he's been just a 14-team value in 28.4 minutes per game as a reserve. Advice: "He's starting to do a lot more corrective exercises, strength and treatment," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "That's all we can do right now. Then we'll take the next step when he can get there." Wade missed nine games last season with a similar hamstring issue, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him sit out on Monday. If he's unable to go, Mario Chalmers would likely get another start, and he makes for a solid option in daily leagues. Stay tuned for an official update on Wade's status as we draw closer to Monday's tip. Rotoworld.com

  • Mario Chalmers starting on Sunday vs. Bucks
Mario Chalmers will start in place of Dwyane Wade (hamstring) on Sunday as the Heat take on the Bucks.

Advice: Chalmers was excellent in his last outing, putting up 23 points and 11 assists over a whopping 40 minutes of action. He'll likely get a similar workload tonight, and should be in all active lineups. James Ennis will head to the bench after playing just six minutes in his start on Friday, and he's not an option in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Dwyane Wade (hamstring) out Sunday vs. Bucks
Dwyane Wade (hamstring) will not suit up for Sunday's game vs. the Bucks, and is questionable for Monday's game vs. the Nets.

Advice: James Ennis drew the start in Wade's place on Friday, but he only lasted six minutes, and it was Mario Chalmers who saw a bulk of the minutes in Wade's absence. Chalmers put up 23 points, 11 assists, and one 3-pointer during his last outing, and will look to build upon that effort today as the Heat take on the Bucks, get him in your lineups. Rotoworld.com

  • Ty Lawson struggles with shot in Denver loss
Ty Lawson struggled with his shot as the Nuggets lost to the Knicks, scoring 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting (two 3-pointers), to go along with nine assists, two rebounds, and six turnovers.

Advice: The Nuggets were dominated by the Knicks in this one, and managed to go the entire second quarter with just one make from the field (the make came on a last second buzzer beater from Lawson). Denver has been a mess this year, but Lawson has been the one consistent player, averaging 15.9 points, 7.9 assists, and 0.9 three-pointers per game. Those numbers are a bit down from last year's averages, but perhaps that's because Lawson might still be struggling with his ankle injury. Lawson is a buy-low candidate, but his ankles present some risk. Rotoworld.com

  • J.R. Smith scores 28 points in Knicks win
J.R. Smith had a solid outing on Sunday, scoring 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting to go along with four rebounds, four assists, two steals, two 3-pointers, one block and five turnovers as the Knicks topped the Nuggets.

Advice: Smith was solid on Sunday, but he’s currently averaging 9.6 points, 3.7 assists, and 0.9 three-pointers per game over 26 minutes of action. He got some extended run today with Iman Shumpert (hip) sidelined, but it’s looking like it’ll take injuries to force head coach Derek Fisher to give the defensively challenged Smith consistent minutes. Smith should continue to have some short-term value as long as Shump is unable to go, but he’s not a must-add player in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Marcus Smart (ankle) able to move w/out limp
Marcus Smart (ankle) is now able to move around without a limp, but he has still not been cleared to return to practice.

Advice: Smart suffered a pretty brutal ankle injury on Nov. 7, and he is currently targeting a late-November return. It's nice to see that he's progressing, but with averages of just 6.8 points, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 three-pointers per game on 30.6 percent shooting from the field, he's simply not worth owning in standard leagues. • J.R. Smith will draw the start on Sunday
J.R. Smith will draw the start in place of Iman Shumpert (hip) on Sunday vs. Denver.

Advice: He could see a lot of minutes against Denver with Shump out, while Tim Hardaway will also likely see a lot of minutes off of the bench. Shumpert is not expected to miss much time so Smith and Hardaway should only be considered for owners in need of short-term value, or as a daily plug-and-play. Rotoworld.com

  • Mo Williams finally has a good game
Mo Williams finally turned in a good game on Saturday with 13 points, eight assists and one rebound in 29 minutes against the Mavericks.

Advice: He's been a major letdown since Ricky Rubio (ankle) went down, but this is the type of line he should put up more often than not. Williams is also likely to bury some treys, which is why we liked his upside in the first place. This game won't send prospective owners to the wire, so you can probably keep him out there. We'll let you know how he does on Wednesday against the Knicks. Rotoworld.com
