      According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Chris Paul has agreed to push back the date to guarantee his $30 million contract for the 2024-25 season.

      Paul and the Warriors intend to move back the guarantee deadline on the point guard's contract to Sunday, the start of free agency, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Friday.

      Advice: If the Warriors guaranteed Paul's contract for 2024-25, the veteran would earn $30 million next season. Golden State can't afford that price and doesn't want to lose Paul in free agency for nothing, while the point guard likely agreed to this so he'd get a say in where he's potentially traded. Wojnarowski relays that the Warriors are still exploring trades, but what type of market Paul has at this point in his career remains unclear. He averaged a career-low 9.2 points per game in 2023-24.       Advice: Brogdon is a 31-year-old veteran on an expiring deal, so it wouldn't be shocking to see Washington buy him out, allowing Brogdon to join a contender.       According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Wizards plan to acquire Malcolm Brogdon, the 14th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, a future 2029 first-round pick, and 2028 and 2030 second-round picks from the Trail Blazers in exchange for Deni Avdija.

      Advice: Traded to Portland as part of the Jrue Holiday deal, Brogdon’s career timeline did not appear to mesh with that of the Trail Blazers, who are rebuilding. That didn’t prevent the team from holding onto him last season, but he is now moving to another rebuilding team. If Brogdon stays in D.C. and the Wizards lose Tyus Jones in free agency, he would undoubtedly have fantasy relevance. However, Washington could also move Brogdon to a contender in exchange for additional draft capital.       Advice: Slovenia's roster hasn't been finalized, so Doncic's availability hasn't been confirmed. However, the NBA superstar is expected to play after sitting out a match against Lithuania on Tuesday. Friday's game is Slovenia's final preparation before the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Greece, which starts July 2.       Mavericks GM Nico Harrison said on Friday that he expects Luka Doncic to play for Slovenia in the nation’s upcoming Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

      Advice: While he was banged up during the Mavericks’ run to the NBA Finals, it takes a lot for Doncic to pass up on an opportunity to represent his country. Slovenia is playing in one of four Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, with play scheduled for July 2.
