      Advice: The Timberwolves need Towns to be consistent as an offensive threat, and while the numbers have been there most of the time, the efficiency has been lacking. Towns has scored at least 20 points in four of his last eight appearances since the start of the series against the Nuggets while shooting 47.4 percent from the field in that span, so he seems to be getting the job done even when he has an off night from time to time.       Karl-Anthony Towns finished Wednesday’s 108-105 loss to the Mavericks with 16 points (6-of-20 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

      Advice: Minnesota’s top two offensive weapons struggled on Wednesday, with Towns shooting 6-of-20 from the field and Anthony Edwards slightly better at 6-of-16. KAT shot 51% from the field in the second-round series against Denver, and he was a 52.6% shooter in four regular-season meetings with the Mavericks. However, each meeting with Dallas was played before the trade deadline, so Wednesday was KAT’s first look at a Mavericks lineup that included PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford.       Tatum amassed 36 points (12-26 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals in 46 minutes during Tuesday's 133-128 overtime win over Indiana in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

      Advice: Everyone knows what Tatum can do offensively, and he's now scored at least 33 points in three of his last four games. However, it was his defense on Tyrese Haliburton that was ultimately the difference in this game. Tatum was clutch in overtime, and Boston will now head into Game 2 with a ton of momentum.       Jayson Tatum shot 12-of-26 from the field and 10-of-12 from the foul line in Tuesday’s 133-128 overtime win over the Pacers, scoring 36 points with 12 rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two 3-pointers in 45 minutes.

      Advice: Tatum led all scorers with 36 points, and his 3-pointer with a little over 42 seconds remaining in overtime gave Boston a four-point lead. From there, the Celtics did what they needed to do to sew up Game 1. Tatum shot 2-of-8 from three but was considerably more efficient inside the arc. Both teams had some miscues down the stretch, with Boston benefitting from Indiana’s fourth-quarter errors to force overtime.       Karl-Anthony Towns finished Sunday’s Game 7 victory over the Nuggets with 23 points (8-of-14 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block, and one 3-pointers in 39 minutes.

      Advice: On a night when Anthony Edwards struggled, Towns came up big offensively for the Timberwolves. He recorded his first 20-point double-double since Game 2, Minnesota’s 26-point blowout win in Denver. While Towns scored in double figures in each game, the rebounding and defensive production is just as crucial for the Timberwolves. One of the team’s more maligned players, KAT was one of their most valuable in the franchise’s second-ever Game 7 victory.     • Isaiah Hartenstein goes scoreless in Game 7 loss
      Isaiah Hartenstein missed both of his shot attempts in Sunday’s 130-109 loss to the Pacers, going scoreless with eight rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in 30 minutes.

      Advice: The Knicks didn’t count on Hartenstein for consistent scoring, but his production dropped considerably as their second-round series progressed. The 7-footer went scoreless in Game 7 and did not attempt more than three shots in any of the final four games. Give Myles Turner and the Pacers credit for taking away Hartenstein’s beloved floater, and they did a better job of keeping him off the glass after iHart grabbed 17 rebounds in Game 5. Hartenstein earned himself a nice payday once he hits free agency this summer. The question is whether or not the Knicks will offer a contract that is large enough to keep him in the fold.       Donte DiVincenzo shot 11-of-21 from the field and 8-of-10 from the foul line in Sunday’s 130-109 loss to the Pacers, scoring 39 points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals, and nine 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

      Advice: As the Knicks continued to lose players, DiVincenzo kept firing away. He was outstanding in Game 7, shooting over 50% from the field and scoring 39 points. While DiVincenzo had a few games this postseason in which he struggled, the overall play was excellent. His 2023-24 season was better than anyone imagined, with DiVincenzo progressing from valued reserve to fixture in the Knicks starting lineup. He provided 3rd-round fantasy value after the trade deadline and finished the season just outside the top 60 in 9-cat formats. Expecting that level of production from DiVincenzo in 2024-25 would be a bit much, especially with a healthy Knicks roster. However, he’ll be worth selecting just inside the top 100.       Advice: DiVincenzo led the way for New York on offense, leading all players in Sunday's winner-take-all game in threes made while setting a record for most threes in a Game 7 in NBA playoff history. As a result, DiVincenzo led all players in scoring, coming up one point shy of reaching the 40-point mark and tying a season-high point total.       Advice: Hartenstein was unable to repeat his heroics from Game 5, grabbing just seven total rebounds in the loss. Coming off an astonishing 12 offensive rebounds, he struggled to have a meaningful impact as the Knicks were simply outclassed. With the series now deadlocked at 3-3, the two teams will face off one final time in Madison Square Garden on Sunday, with the winner moving on to face the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
