  • GSW uncertain when Livingston will return
The Warriors are uncertain when Shaun Livingston (toe surgery) will be able to play.

Advice: He's questionable to start the season after his surgery back on on Aug. 15. Livingston was fantastic in Brooklyn due partially to his versatility and the team's lack of depth, but the Warriors won't need him nearly as much. He won't be worth drafting in most fantasy leagues due to his lower upside. Rotoworld.com

  • Andrew Bogut expected to do 5-on-5
Andew Bogut (ribs) has been doing some 5-on-5 workouts in recent weeks at a Warriors facility.

Advice: He didn't participate at the FIBA World Cup, but he's been working out since June. Bogut played 27.5 minutes per game before the All-Star break last season, but his playing time dropped to 23.7 per game after that. The Warriors will likely keep him around 24 minutes per game in 2014-15 and he has a lot of injury risk, so he's only a late-round pick in standard drafts. Rotoworld.com

  • David Lee expects to be healthy for camp
David Lee is expected to be healthy for training camp.

Advice: He had a minor procedure for a core muscle injury back in July, but was expected to be ready in August. Lee has been stuck with all sorts of injuries and the Warriors may give some of his minutes to Draymond Green to help keep him fresh for the playoffs. Rotoworld.com

  • Tyson Chandler upset by bad press out of NY
Tyson Chandler is upset about insinuations that he was a problem in the Knicks' locker room last season.

Advice: "I did nothing but try to help the culture there the three years I was there," Chandler said Friday. "You can say I didn't live up to whatever or you didn't like the way I played or anything. But to ever question who I am and the type of leader I am in the locker room, I don't even know where that came from." Owner Mark Cuban, GM Donnie Nelson, and coach Rick Carlisle all cited Chandler's outstanding leadership as a reason as to why they brought him back to Dallas, and Chandler will look to put last year's disappointing season behind him. Chandler will make for a solid selection in the later rounds of drafts as a rebounding specialist, and field goal percentage booster. Rotoworld.com

  • Suns not looking to deal Eric Bledsoe to MN
Updating a previous report, the Suns have no interest in an Eric Bledsoe sign-and-trade deal with Minnesota, according to sources.

Advice: The purported deal didn't make much sense, as the Timberwolves would simply be unloading bad contracts onto Phoenix in exchange for an all-star caliber player. With the Suns reportedly not interested in Ricky Rubio, and Andrew Wiggins being untouchable, there just isn't a plausible deal that could take place. It seems the most likely scenario is Eric Bledsoe accepting the Suns' qualifying offer, and becoming an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season. If he can remain healthy, Bledsoe could be a steal in the early-mid rounds of your draft as he looks to prove he's worth the max-deal he is seeking. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Wizards reach out to Ray Allen again
The Wizards have again reached out to Ray Allen to gauge his interest in joining the organization.

Advice: Allen is still undecided on whether or not he'll retire, but if his goal is to chase a championship, it seems unlikely he would choose Washington over say San Antonio or Cleveland. Allen's prolific, and clutch three-point shot making ability makes him an enticing asset for a championship contender, but as a specialist off the bench, his fantasy value would be nearly non-existent. • Andrew Bogut: 'My body feels great'
Andrew Bogut has been taking full contact during the Warriors open gym scrimmages this month, and his fractured rib that sidelined him for the end of the 2013-14 season has fully healed.

Advice: "My body feels great," said Bogut, who returned to working out in mid-June after his fractured rib healed. "All of my injuries have been of the high-impact variety. The only thing I can do to change that is to be a p*** and avoid contact at all costs.. I'll still take charges and go for blocked shots. Every now and then, I'll get a knock." Bogut was impressive while on the court last season, averaging 7.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game, however he is a huge injury risk as he only made it through 67 games. The last (and only) time Bogut made it through a full season was in 2006, so he's only worth a gamble in the very late rounds of your draft. Rotoworld.com

  • Report: Wolves to offer Eric Bledsoe max-deal
The Timberwolves are reportedly ready to offer Eric Bledsoe the four-year, $63 million max-level contract he's been seeking.

Advice: The Wolves currently do not have the cap space to make this offer upfront, so it would need to involve a sign-and-trade. However, the Suns reportedly are not interested in Ricky Rubio, so it's unclear exactly who would be involved in this deal. Bledsoe has been great while on the court, and averaged 17.7 points, and 5.5 assists last season with the Suns, however, he also only made it through 43 games. It's difficult to give any real analysis without knowing how the parts would be moved in this deal, but we'll be monitoring the situation closely. Stay tuned. Rotoworld.com

  • Gallo wants to play 5-on-5 before camp
Danilo Gallinari (knee surgery) said he is hoping to play 5-on-5 before training camp.

Advice: He said he's been working out every day and he's played some golf and tennis this offseason. Gallinari wasn't able to play at all in the 2013-14 season and should be able to get some reps in at training camp. He's a solid option to draft in the last couple rounds of a standard fantasy drafts. Rotoworld.com

  • Aron Baynes could be headed to China
Aron Baynes has received interest from the Shanghai Sharks.

Advice: He's still a restricted free agent, but the Spurs haven't made any noticeable effort to bring him back. The Sharks are Yao Ming's team and Baynes would likely get significant minutes compared to his marginal role with the Spurs. Rotoworld.com

  • Jonas Jerebko wants to be stretch four
Jonas Jerebko said he's hoping to fill the role as a stretch four for the Pistons this season.

Advice: While coach Stan Van Gundy said Jerebko could be part of the team's core, it's not going to be easy with Josh Smith expected to get more run at power forward. Jerebko is only worth a late-round flier in deep leagues for now. Rotoworld.com

  • Orlando Sentinel projects Payton fairly low
Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel projects Elfrid Payton to score 5.5 points per game with 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals.

Advice: The steals are nice and would be enough to put him in the standard-league conversation, but he's not likely to make many treys and figures to be a detriment to fantasy teams' percentages. Payton was very good at Orlando Pro Summer League, averaging 9.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.4 triples. Despite the somewhat low projections, he's worth a flier late in fantasy drafts. • Deron says Nets are trying to fly under radar
Deron Williams said the Nets are flying under the radar for this upcoming season.

Advice: The biggest news of their offseason was that they weren't able to bring back Paul Pierce, which makes their trade with the Celtics from last season seem even worse. Williams will have more responsibility in the offense and he may play off the ball a little more next to Jarrett Jack. If he can stay healthy, he'll have a good chance to be a top-12 point guard in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Wolves trying to deal Martin to Bulls
The Wolves may try to send Kevin Martin to the Bulls in a trade.

Advice: To be clear, there's very little chance this deal goes down. It's rumored to be Tony Snell, a second-round pick and the expiring contract of Mike Dunleavy. Martin still hasn't shown up yet for workouts with the Wolves as of Friday morning, but should arrive soon. He's a risky selection in the last few rounds of fantasy drafts. Rotoworld.com

  • Wizards not interested in trading for Barea
The Wizards do not appear interested in trading for J.J. Barea.

Advice: The Wolves have been trying to dump Barea's contract for over a year now and are very unlikely to get any takers. He's likely to be bought out, especially with the Wolves currently at 16 guaranteed contracts. Rotoworld.com

  • Jodie Meeks hoping to play in 2016 Olympics
Jodie Meeks is hoping to play for Team USA in the Olympics.

Advice: Needless to say, he has his work cut out for himself. Meeks will first have to beat out Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for the starting shooting guard spot in Detroit. KCP had a very impressive Orlando Pro Summer League, leading the way as the top scorer in the event. Meeks was terrific last season with the Lakers and the Pistons did overpay to get him, so he should get a chance to start. He's worth a late pick in fantasy drafts. Rotoworld.com

  • Raduljica to sign with a Chinese team
Miroslav Raduljica is signing to play in China with Shandong this season.

Advice: He was in the news this week for saying he has a better beard than James Harden, but we won't be seeing it in the NBA this season. Raduljica had a strong FIBA World Cup with Serbia and will probably be one of the better big men in the Chinese league. Rotoworld.com

  • Wolves have spoken to Suns about Eric Bledsoe
The Minnesota Timberwolves have reportedly been in contact with the Phoenix Suns about Eric Bledsoe.

Advice: These discussions have reportedly happened even after the Kevin Love trade, but it doesn't sound like much headway has been made as the teams aren't matching up on assets. Bledsoe hasn't received any offers as a restricted free agent and has until October 1 to sign his one-year qualifying offer. There may be more to come here, but the smart money is on Bledsoe opening the regular season with the Suns and providing early-to-mid round fantasy value. Rotoworld.com

  • J.J. Barea may be bought out by Timberwolves
The Timberwolves hope to trade J.J. Barea but they're open to buying out his contract prior to the start of the season.

Advice: The Wolves have 16 guaranteed contracts so they'll need to unload at least one player, and Barea seems like the odd-man out on Minnesota's rebuilt roster. They're doubtful to find any takers for his $4.5 million expiring contract, making a buyout much more likely. Rotoworld.com

  • Eric Bledsoe on pace to take qualifying offer
The Suns and restricted FA Eric Bledsoe have shown "no signs of [contract] talks or a sign-and-trade."

Advice: Bledsoe turned down the Suns' four-year, $48 million offer in the hopes of landing a max deal, but no team would commit that much guaranteed cash to a player with 78 career starts and two right knee surgeries. He has until Oct. 1 to negotiate a deal or accept a one-year qualifying offer, which would make him an unrestricted FA next summer. Rotoworld.com

  • Williams says his ankles finally feel good
Deron Williams said on Monday that his ankles finally feel good.

Advice: "[Before the surgery], I was just walking around and my ankles would swell up," said Williams. He had surgery on both ankles and unlike last season he says he'll be able to practice in camp and play in the preseason. He could experience a nice bump in production if any of this holds up and we'll be watching him closely during the preseason to see if he has regained any of his old explosion. Rotoworld.com

  • Spurs looking for S&T of Aron Baynes
The Spurs are open to a sign-and-trade deal for restricted free agent Aron Baynes.

Advice: He's not getting quite as many headlines as fellow restricted free agent Eric Bledsoe, but Baynes does have some upside. He averaged 16.8 points per game with the Australian team at FIBA and would almost certainly have more value on another team. Rotoworld.com

  • Raduljica: My beard is better than Harden's
Miroslav Raduljica said his beard is better than James Harden's after Serbia's loss to Team USA on Sunday.

Advice: He played very well in the World Cup with 13 points per game, but he's expected to sign overseas. The Clippers waived Raduljica last month after being acquired from the Bucks in the Jared Dudley trade. Rotoworld.com

  • Miroslav Raduljica could end up in Spain
Miroslav Raduljica has received interest from Real Madrid.

Advice: The Clippers waived him after acquiring him in the Jared Dudley last month. Raduljica did play 9.7 minutes per game and started two contests with the Bucks last season, but that's primarily because the team was in disarray. Rotoworld.com

  • Livingston ditches cast, hopeful for opener
Shaun Livingston (right toe surgery) said he felt "great" after his cast was removed on Thursday and that he hopes to be ready for the season opener.

Advice: Livingston was on a minimum 6-8 week timetable based on an August 15 report and this fits snugly into that outlook. Leandro Barbosa was brought on as insurance along with July acquisition Brandon Rush, so the Warriors have mobilized to play it safe, and along with this good news we haven't heard anything specific that would cause us to rule out his chances of playing on Opening Night. • Tyson Chandler feels he's a better player now
Tyson Chandler stated during a recent interview that he feels he is returning to Dallas a better player.

Advice: "I think I'm better in understanding the game mentally. Physically, I'm in an incredible place. I haven't felt this good in a long time," said Chandler. Chandler struggled with injuries last season, only suiting up for 55 games, and that will again be a concern this season. However, he is a guy that can really gobble up the boards (he averaged 9.6 rebounds per game in a down year last season), and that will be his role with the Mavericks. Chandler's a rebounding specialist that shoots a high percentage from the field and chips in a few blocks, and he'll be a serviceable selection in the later rounds. Rotoworld.com
