  • Nicolas Batum returns in an easy win
Nicolas Batum returned to the lineup on Friday night against the Bulls with nine points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes.

Advice: The Blazers had his game in the bag in the third quarter, so there was no need to play Batum more than 20 minutes. He should get better and his fantasy owners shouldn't worry much about his knee contusion being a lingering issue. Rotoworld.com

  • Nikola Mirotic erupts w/ 24 points, 11 boards
Nikola Mirotic stepped up with Taj Gibson (ankle) getting hurt against the Blazers on Friday, scoring a career-high 24 points with 11 rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

Advice: Pau Gasol (calf) did not play tonight and X-rays were negative on Gibson's ankle, so he is not a lock for minutes. That said, Mirotic is capable of blocking shots, hitting treys and turning in good percentages, so it's not a bad idea to add him speculatively in some leagues. To be clear, we wouldn't cut a player you're going to miss. Rotoworld.com

  • Green posts fat line in blowout win over UTA
Draymond Green scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including a three) with nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in the Warriors' 101-88 blowout win over the Jazz.

Advice: The Jazz carried a 15-point edge in fourth quarter garbage time to get the game this close, and Green continued to plow away with his top 35-40 value. Yes, David Lee is coming back at some point and he's going to get minutes, but the Warriors don't look like they're going to make the same mistakes they've made in the past selling Green short. • JaVale McGee is perfect from the field
JaVale McGee made all six shots from the field for 14 points with eight rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 19 minutes against the Pelicans on Friday.

Advice: He's usually on the highlight reel for air-balling a free throw, throwing a ball away to the other team, or running back on defense when his team is still on offense, but he had himself a nice game. Although, he did kiss a fan after diving into the stands, so he'll still be on Shaqtin' a Fool next Thursday. McGee still hasn't played more than 20 minutes in a game this year and is just at 11.5 per game, so the negatives currently outweigh the positives. Rotoworld.com

  • Favors nears double-double in blowout loss
Derrick Favors scored 10 points on 3-of-11 shooting with nine rebounds, one steal and two blocks in Friday's blowout loss to the Warriors.

Advice: This was as good as it got in the starting lineup in yet another terrible basketball game on Friday. Enes Kanter scored 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting with five rebounds, three assists and five turnovers but as usual had no steals or blocks, Trey Burke fell off a cliff with two points (1-of-8 FGs), five assists, one steal, and Alec Burks hit 3-of-10 shots for nine points, four boards and a three. Woof. Rotoworld.com

  • Gobert looks good in mop-up time
Rudy Gobert scored 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting with five rebounds, two steals and two blocks over 18 minutes in Friday's loss.

Advice: Gobert reminds owners of his upside with the outing, and after tonight he is returning top 145-165 value (9/8 cat) in just 16 mpg. With this type of floor it's hard to justify not stashing him. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 10:33 pm
  • Alexis Ajinca starts again on Friday
Alexis Ajinca started against the Nuggets on Friday with 12 points, eight rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes.

Advice: Omer Asik (back) aggravated his injury in pre-game warmups, so we could see Ajinca in the starting lineup for a couple more games. He's not going to be as good as he was tonight, so only owners in deep leagues should have interest here. Rotoworld.com

  • Wright with yet another efficient line on Fri
Brandan Wright hit all five of his field goal attempts in Friday's blowout win, finishing with 12 points, three boards and two steals in just 19 minutes.

Advice: Wright is hitting an absurd 77.8 percent from the field while returning top 50-90 value (9/8 cat) in just 18.6 mpg. If you were an early adopter or drafted Wright go ahead and pat yourself on the back, and if your league is still sleeping it's time to wake up. Rotoworld.com

  • Barea goes for 16 and eight vs. Lakers
J.J. Barea scored 16 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 5-of-7 shots (5-of-5 3PTs) with two rebounds and eight assists in 22 minutes.

Advice: Barea saw this much volume because Devin Harris (ankle) was out. With Harris still not ruled out for Saturday's game it's hard to get behind anything but daily league value for Barea. Rotoworld.com

  • Bradley Beal logs 32 minutes in 12-5-5 line
Bradley Beal played 32 minutes off the bench against the Cavs on Friday, scoring 12 points with five rebounds, five assists, three steals and two 3-pointers.

Advice: He looked great tonight and it would be a shock for him not to start against the Bucks on Saturday. Beal was outstanding last season with the Wizards and could improved in his third year. He just needs to stay healthy. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 9:59 pm
  • Kyrie Irving has another two-dime game
Kyrie Irving made 7-of-16 from the field for 22 points against the Wizards on Friday with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and three turnovers in 41 minutes.

Advice: It's his second game in a row with two assists while he's also seen his usage take a significant hit. Last year, he had an elite 28.0 usage rate, but this year it's dropped to just 23.8. Thanks to his improved shooting, output in steals and lower turnovers, Irving has still been a first-round guy this season. Rotoworld.com

  • Morrow hits three treys in 25 minutes
Anthony Morrow hit three triples and 4-of-11 shots overall on Friday, finishing with 11 points, two boards and one steal in 25 minutes off the bench.

Advice: Morrow missed his window and it sounds like the cavalry is coming soon, but one had to know he'd get things turned around a little bit after a short cold stretch entering tonight. Feel free to move on in 12-14 team formats, but don't be surprised if he carves out value as a 3-point shooter sometime down the road. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 9:33 pm
  • Johnson held in check by the Thunder
Joe Johnson scored just eight points on 2-of-5 shooting with one rebound, three assists, one block and one trey in Friday's road win over the Thunder.

Advice: Johnson played 52 minutes on Wednesday and drew some versatile Thunder defenders, so it's not too surprising that he ran out of gas. He had been playing a little bit over his head in fantasy leagues prior to tonight, and he should remain in all lineups going forward. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 9:31 pm
  • Dion Waiters still in the doghouse
Dion Waiters made 1-of-7 from the field for two points with one assist, three steals and one block in 22 minutes against the Wizards on Friday.

Advice: He did not even play at all in the first quarter while Mike Miller and Brendan Haywood did. Waiters is not worth owning in almost any league right now. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 9:30 pm
  • Kevin Love's struggles continue again
Kevin Love struggled against the Wizards on Friday with eight points, eight boards, two assists, one steal, four turnovers and two 3-pointers in 31 minutes.

Advice: He was horrible on both ends of the floor and the Wizards went at him on defense. Love is shooting below 39 percent from the field on the year and has scored just 12.6 points per game over his last five. Despite the awful start, he's still been a top-40 player before tonight, but his value has trended down in the past two weeks. It be a good idea to see if his owner is hitting the panic button. • Nicolas Batum will start against Bulls
Nicolas Batum (knee) will start against the Bulls on Friday.

Advice: He's been out for almost two weeks due to his knee contusion and is expected to have his minutes limited tonight. Batum is a big part of the offense and he's still worth starting even with the restriction on his minutes. Rotoworld.com
    Yesterday, 5:51 pm
  • Bradley Beal coming off the bench again Fri.
Bradley Beal will again come off the bench on Friday.

Advice: It's really only a matter of time until Beal takes back his job with the starting unit, and the Wizards are simply easing him back into the rotation. Beal was able to put up 21 points over just 26 minutes of action during his last outing, to go with three 3-pointers, three rebounds, three assists, two turnovers, and a steal, so he's going to get his whether he's starting or coming off the bench. He has a favorable matchup tonight vs. the Cavs, so owners can go ahead and roll him out there. Rotoworld.com

  • Bradley Beal says he wants to play more
Bradley Beal said he wants to play more this season.

Advice: "At the end of the day, we had some good lineups and good things going before I came back," Beal said. "So what Coach is doing, I have no problem with it at all. As far as me coming off the bench, me playing the minutes I’m playing, that’s totally his call." Beal is going to start and it's probably going to happen tonight against the Cavs. His fantasy owners will want to put him in their lineup as he looks to back up his words that he and John Wall are a better backcourt than Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters. Yesterday, 12:15 pm
  • Shaw wants JaVale McGee to go back to basics
Nuggets' head coach Brian Shaw wants JaVale McGee to go back to the basics.

Advice: "I think sometimes he wants to come in and show us and everybody else that he can post up and he can be an offensive force," Shaw said. "And I think that's where he gets himself in trouble from time to time. As he starts to do those things, he'll get to play more." McGee is still with a minutes restriction, and is averaging just 5.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks over 11.4 minutes of action this year. Once his minutes restriction is eventually lifted, he will still be locked into a timeshare with Timofey Mozgov and Jusuf Nurkic, and he just doesn't offer enough upside to be worth owning in most leagues. • Nicolas Batum (knee) spotted without brace
Nicolas Batum (knee) was spotted doing shooting drills after Thursday's practice, and was not wearing a brace on his injured right knee.

Advice: Batum is targeting a return for Friday's game vs. the Bulls, and all signs are pointing towards him giving it a go. Stay tuned for an official update on his status as we draw closer to Friday's tip. When Batum returns, Allen Crabbe will head back to the bench. Rotoworld.com
    Thursday, 12:52 pm
  • J.J. Barea has vintage Mavericks performance
J.J. Barea's big game off the bench on Wednesday reminded his teammates of his first stint with the Mavericks.

Advice: With Devin Harris nursing a sprained ankle, Barea scoring 14 points with six assists and a three-pointer in 23 minutes and reminded teammate Tyson Chandler of the guard's play during the Mavericks' championship run. "J.J. was vintage J.J. in a Mavericks uniform," Chandler said. Barea could be a nice fill-in if Harris is unable to play against the Lakers on Friday, but he doesn't have much long-term value in standard fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Thursday, 8:46 am
  • Kevin Love trying to find himself in Cavs' O
Kevin Love admitted that he is still trying to find his place in the Cavaliers' offense after Wednesday loss to the Spurs.

Advice: While Love's averages of 17.4 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.2 three-pointers per game are still solid fantasy output, owners still aren't getting what they expected when they used a first-round pick on the big man. "I'm just trying to find myself in this offense," Love said after the game. "I came here to win. We're going to figure it out. We're going to be OK." Fantasy owners shouldn't panic as Love has better days ahead of him, but expectations need to be tempered as he sacrifices touches to LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. Rotoworld.com
    Thursday, 6:34 am
  • Anthony Morrow not doing much with minutes
Anthony Morrow played 28 minutes and hit 4-of-9 shots for 10 points, without making a 3-pointer.

Advice: If he's not going to hit threes, he has no fantasy value. Despite getting at least 28 minutes in all but one of his games this season, Morrow hasn't really done anything outside of a 28-point game on Nov. 12. Maybe he'll get it turned around at some point, but the odds aren't in his favor with the return of Andre Roberson from a foot injury tonight. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 11:56 pm
  • Bradley Beal debuts, scores 21 points
Bradley Beal made his season debut and came off the bench, hitting 9-of-17 shots and three 3-pointers for 21 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal in 26 minutes on Wednesday.

Advice: He's back and Garrett Temple started, but played just 13 minutes for two points. Get Beal in your lineup and pray that he can stay out of the trainer's room for the rest of the season. He looked great tonight, and should be back in the starting lineup on Friday against the Cavaliers. And if you own Temple, it's time to move on. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 9:44 pm
  • J.J. Barea scores 14 with six assists
J.J. Barea came off the bench on Wednesday and had 14 points, six assists and a 3-pointer in 23 minutes.

Advice: Devin Harris was out with a sprained ankle, Raymond Felton is suspended and Jameer Nelson couldn't throw it in the ocean tonight. Barea has been playing well though, averaging 9.6 points and 6.0 assists in his last five games, which include two 14-point outings. But once Harris is back, he simply won't be trustworthy enough to play for your fantasy team. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 9:35 pm
  • Joe Johnson plays 52 minutes on Wed.
Joe Johnson played 52 minutes on a triple-overtime loss to the Bucks on Wednesday with 18 points, five rebounds, eight assists and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He had a couple chances to win the game late, but it looked like all the minutes may have caused his shot to fall short. Johnson's shooting numbers are starting to come down, but he's still posting mid-round value. Keep him in your lineup. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 9:33 pm
  • Brandan Wright scores 14 off Mavs bench
Brandan Wright hit 6-of-7 shots off the bench for 14 points, six rebounds, a steal and a block in Wednesday's win.

Advice: Wright has somehow scored in double figures in five straight games and is averaging 12.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over that stretch, despite playing just 19 minutes a game. He's also hit 24-of-31 shots during that run, and is worth owning in most leagues, despite coming off the bench. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 9:32 pm
  • Dion Waiters disappears vs. Spurs
Dion Waiters, who blew up for 20 point off the bench on Monday, hit just 2-of-7 shots in 21 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.

Advice: Waiters minutes have taken a hit since he was pulled from the starting lineup and his big games are going to be few and far between if 18 minutes a night. Unfortunately, tonight was probably closer to reality than Monday, especially since Joe Harris played six more minutes than him, but had just five points and a 3-pointer. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 8:13 pm
  • Kevin Love goes for 10 & 11 in loss to Spurs
Kevin Love hit just 4-of-12 shots and no 3-pointers on his way to 10 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block in 35 minutes of Wednesday's loss to the Spurs.

Advice: Love's owners may have to be talked off a ledge after this one. He's had a fine season, but hasn't exactly been the superstar they were looking to draft in the first round of drafts. Love has now scores 14 or fewer points in four of his last seven games, has four games on the season with eight or fewer rebounds, and has finished three games without a 3-pointer, including tonight. He's averaging a respectable 17.4 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.2 3-pointers per game, but sometimes you don't get what you pay for. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 7:52 pm
  • Bradley Beal is coming off the bench
Bradley Beal (wrist) will come off the bench in his season debut against the Mavs on Wednesday.

Advice: Garrett Temple will likely get his last start with Beal active tonight. Fantasy owners shouldn't have high hopes for Beal with an expected minutes limit. He obviously should be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 3:53 pm
  • Bradley Beal activated on Wednesday
Bradley Beal (wrist) is active for Wednesday night against the Mavs.

Advice: It's still unclear if he is going to start, but he's very likely to have his minutes limited. Beal will likely see his minutes in the high teens tonight before he gets more run on Friday. Garrett Temple will likely get decent minutes tonight. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 3:13 pm
  • Nicolas Batum (knee) goes through practice
Nicolas Batum (knee) went through practice on Wednesday.

Advice: He is hopeful to play on Friday and going through practice today bodes well for his chances. The Blazers only had two different starting lineups last season, but they've had a lot of injuries in the young season with C.J. McCollum (hand) as the most recent. Batum owners can plug him into their lineups. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 12:24 pm
  • Bradley Beal (wrist) now a game-time decision
Contrary to a previous report, Bradley Beal (wrist) is now a game-time decision for Wednesday's game against Dallas, though he will come off the bench if he is active as he works his way back into shape.

Advice: He is now expected to have a discussion with coach Wittman prior to tip-off and it will be up Beal as to whether or not he will play. Owners will want to check back before the game for updates, as Beal would be a must-start player if active for his 3-point shooting. If he can't go, expect Garrett Temple to enjoy the glory for at least one more game. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 9:19 am
  • Bradley Beal (wrist) set to play Wednesday
Bradley Beal (wrist) is set to make his season debut against the Mavericks on Wednesday.

Advice: This is exciting news for his owners, as Beal is expected to hit the ground running after he was able to stay in shape while rehabbing his wrist. Beal is an elite 3-point shooter, and barring a setback, he needs to be in all lineups going forward and we will let you know how he fares after the game. Meanwhile, Garrett Temple's value will take a huge hit and he should be cut in almost all leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 8:28 am
  • Nicolas Batum (knee) had two PRP injections
Nicolas Batum (knee) has received two Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections in order to speed up the healing process.

Advice: This isn't bad news by any means, as this is a nonsurgical procedure that has shown success in the past. Batum is targeting a return to the lineup on Friday and owners should deploy him by all means if that is the case. We will continue to monitor the situation closely, but it is looking positive. Rotoworld.com
    Wednesday, 7:07 am
  • Anthony Morrow quiet in 34 minutes Tuesday
Anthony Morrow logged 34 minutes off the Thunder bench on Tuesday, but he scored only eight points with five rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Advice: Morrow hit a 3-pointer and he doesn't usually contribute many boards or defensive stats, which take the sting out of his low-scoring game. He blew up for 28 points and four triples last Wednesday but is just 7-of-31 from the field since then (22.6 percent), so fantasy owners should deploy him with caution. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 8:38 pm
  • Derrick Favors scores 10 points in 26 minutes
Derrick Favors was conspicuously quiet in Tuesday's win vs. the Thunder, scoring 10 points with seven rebounds, two assists and one block in just 26 minutes.

Advice: He picked up four fouls, which limited his playing time, and credit is due to Serge Ibaka's defense. Favors hasn't been the most consistent player this year, but he's exceeding fantasy owners' expectations with top-40 value and should only get better as the season progresses. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 8:34 pm
  • Bradley Beal (wrist) could play Wednesday?
Head coach Randy Wittman did not rule out the possibility of Bradley Beal making his season debut Wednesday vs. the Mavericks.

Advice: Wittman said that Beal will be evaluated after Wednesday morning's shootaround, so stay tuned for an official update on his status. Once Beal returns to the lineup, Garrett Temple will have almost zero fantasy value, and he can be cut in most leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 11:30 am
  • Bradley Beal practices for 2nd straight day
Bradley Beal (wrist) practiced in full for the second consecutive day on Tuesday.

Advice: Beal has been targeting November 21 against the Cavs for a return date and two straight days of full practice participation should keep him on track to meet that goal. The 21-year-old may take some time to get back into the swing of things, but he's a must-own player in all fantasy leagues due to his top-50 potential. Garrett Temple owners may want to start saying their goodbyes to his fantasy value. Rotoworld.com
    Tuesday, 10:50 am
  • Mirotic productive with Pau Gasol out
Nikola Mirotic was productive with Pau Gasol (calf) out on Monday, scoring 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds and two assists in 18 minutes.

Advice: Mirotic needs an injury or two in front of him before he has any real fantasy value, but this is a good sign that he may be able to come through if given the chance. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 10:55 pm
  • Ajinca plays 16 minutes in start for Asik
Alexis Ajinca started for Omer Asik (back) on Monday, lasting 16 minutes with six points, seven rebounds and one block.

Advice: Ajinca had a few nice moments but he's basically a magnet for would-be scorers to pad their stats at the foul line. Needless to say that doesn't help him in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 10:37 pm
  • Love goes for 20 and 11 in loss to Nuggets
Kevin Love went for 20 and 11 in Monday's loss to the Nuggets, hitting 7-of-13 shots (1-of-5 from deep, 5-of-6 from the line) with one assist and no defensive stats.

Advice: Love is still playing well below his ADP and it fits the narrative that the Cavs will take a while to gel. It's still buy low territory. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 8:12 pm
  • Waiters scores 20 points off the bench
Dion Waiters scored 20 points off the bench on Monday, hitting 9-of-16 shots (including two threes) with two rebounds, one assist and two steals.

Advice: Waiters hovers around the bottom of the top-200 in standard fantasy leagues and needs a prolonged stretch of production before we're biting. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 7:35 pm
  • Alexis Ajinca will start for Omer Asik
Alexis Ajinca will start against the Blazers on Monday.

Advice: Omer Asik (back) is out, but Ajinca probably won't play too much with Ryan Anderson more than capable of playing power forward next to Anthony Davis. He's only a deep-league play. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 6:40 pm
  • Batum (knee) says he should play on Friday
Nicolas Batum (knee) said he should be okay for Friday's game against the Bulls.

Advice: This is great news for owners, who have had to deal with some uncertainty over the last week. If a two-game week for Batum works for you, get him back into lineups if you can. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 6:05 pm
  • Batum (knee) out on Monday vs. Pelicans
Nicolas Batum (knee) will not play on Monday against the Pelicans, as expected.

Advice: Batum's absence has spread minutes around to Allen Crabbe, Will Barton, C.J. McCollum and Steve Blake, but none of them are good fantasy options in most formats. Rotoworld.com
    Monday, 5:16 pm
  • Anthony Morrow goes 1-of-9 from field vs. HOU
Anthony Morrow shot just 1-of-9 from the field on Sunday, finishing a tough home loss vs. Houston with four points, one rebound, one steal and three personal fouls in 29 minutes.

Advice: Morrow poured in 28 points vs. the Celtics on Wednesday but he's struggled since then, going a combined 5-of-25 from the field in OKC's past two games. He'll be better most nights and is worth owning if you're in need of scoring and 3-pointers, but don't expect well-rounded production. Rotoworld.com
    Sunday, 7:10 pm
  • JaVale McGee plays just 5.8 minutes on Sunday
JaVale McGee played 5.8 minutes on Sunday, scoring two points on 2-of-4 shooting from the free throw line.

Advice: McGee is still on a minutes restriction, but even if he was healthy, he's going to be competing for playing time with Timofey Mozgov, and Jusuf Nurkic, severely limiting his upside. He hasn't blocked a shot in his last four contests (his only source of value) and he's just not worth owning in standard leagues. Deep league owners can probably move along as well. Rotoworld.com
    Sunday, 2:16 pm
  • Nicolas Batum (knee) doubtful for Monday
Nicolas Batum (knee) was a full participant during Sunday's practice, but remains doubtful for Monday's game vs. the Pelicans.

Advice: Batum said that the bruise on his right knee is under the bone, and he's still not feeling 100 percent. If Batum is unable to go Allen Crabbe, Will Barton, and C.J. McCollum, will continue to see some extended minutes for the Blazers, but none of those guys makes for a very attractive option in standard leagues. Batum will now be targeting a return for Friday's game vs. the Bulls, stay tuned. Rotoworld.com
    Sunday, 1:13 pm
  • Draymond Green has a so-so night
Draymond Green scored just seven points with six rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday.

Advice: The line isn't great, but a player with a usage rate of only 18.6 isn't going to light it up every night. However, it's interesting to see the drastic upward trend in his minutes. Green played 13.4 in 2012-13, 21.9 in 2013-14 and he's at 32.6 this season. Green also has a remarkable 69.0 effective field goal percentage on his 29 catch-and-shoot attempts. He's been a top-30 player in the past two weeks and could be top 50 all season. Rotoworld.com
    Sunday, 7:47 am
  • Brandan Wright makes all six from field
Brandan Wright made all six from the field for 13 points against the Wolves in an easy 131-117 win on Saturday with five rebounds, one assist and one block.

Advice: He's on a mission to lead the NBA in field goal percentage and he might be the favorite as long as he qualifies. Wright isn't going to be the best player on your fantasy team, but he's a solid contributor. He's worth owning in competitive standard leagues. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 10:48 pm
  • Derrick Favors shoots the ball well Saturday
Derrick Favors made 9-of-11 from the field for 18 points in a 111-93 loss to the Raptors on Saturday with six rebounds, two assists and one turnover.

Advice: He started fast, but the Raptors were clearly committed to keeping him in check in the second half. Favors has shot 9-of-11 in two of his last three games with a 21-12 double-double sandwiched in between. He's rolling for his fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 8:05 pm
  • Nicolas Batum (knee) is inactive on Saturday
Nicolas Batum (knee) is inactive for Saturday's game against the Nets.

Advice: This is just a reminder and owners will have to look elsewhere on Saturday. Batum is targeting a return on Monday but until then, Allen Crabbe could continue to start while C.J. McCollum and Steve Blake could also see more minutes again. Rotoworld.com
    Saturday, 8:22 am
  • Morrow only scores 10 points vs. Pistons
Anthony Morrow scored just 10 points on 4-of-15 shooting with two threes, three boards and one steal in 36 minutes off the bench on Friday.

Advice: Owners are going to see Jeremy Lamb's career-night of 24 points and 10 boards and consider jumping ship, but coming off a 28-point night of his own Morrow has earned a bit of patience here. He still got good minutes and plenty of shot attempts and even if Lamb does have staying power there's a solid 1-2 week window where he can still do some damage. Rotoworld.com

  • Favors goes for 21 and 12 with three blocks
Derrick Favors went for 21 and 12 with three blocks in Friday's road win over the Knicks.

Advice: Favors hit 8-of-15 shots and 5-of-7 free throws as he continues to march along at a top 30-40 pace. Rotoworld.com

  • Love double-doubles but doesn't hit a three
Kevin Love scored 12 points on 2-of-10 shooting (8-of-12 FTs) with 15 rebounds, four assists, one block and zero 3-pointers in Friday's win over the Celtics.

Advice: Love looks the least comfortable of the Cavs' Big Three and he's hitting just 37.2 percent of his shots to start the year. This might be your best chance to hit on a buy low offer. Rotoworld.com

  • Kyrie posts 27 points in win over Celtics
Kyrie Irving scored 27 points on 8-of-16 shooting (3-of-7 from deep, 8-of-9 from the line) with four rebounds, five assists, three steals and one block in Friday's win.

Advice: This big line pushed him closer to within a stone's throw of his mid-second round ADP and owners have to be thrilled that nothing disastrous has happened so far playing next to LeBron and Kevin Love. Rotoworld.com

  • Waiters (back) returns to action on Friday
Dion Waiters (back) returned to action on Friday, scoring 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and one steal in 17 minutes.

Advice: Waiters didn't see the floor during the first quarter and he's going to have a hard time being consistent for owners in 12-14 team formats. Rotoworld.com

  • Nic Batum officially out for Saturday
Nicolas Batum (knee) is listed as out for Saturday against the Nets.

Advice: The writing has been on the wall and Batum has said he is shooting for Monday. Allen Crabbe could start of the team may go with Dorell Wright now that LaMarcus Aldridge is also out -- Wright has been a stretch four on occasion. C.J. McCollum also played well on Wednesday and is worth a look in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Dion Waiters (back) expects to play Friday
Dion Waiters (back) expects to play Friday vs. the Celtics.

Advice: "I'm not missing another game," said Waiters when asked if he'll suit up Friday night. All signs are pointing towards Waiters returning to the lineup, and he does have a favorable matchup against the Celtics. He'll be coming off the bench for the Cavs and it'll be interesting to see if he can build off his 17-point effort he had during his last game in Denver. Owners in standard leagues can use a wait-and-see approach. Rotoworld.com

  • Dray Day: Draymond Green flirts w/ trey-deuce
Draymond Green took over against the Nets on Thursday with 17 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

Advice: He's shined in four of his last five games, averaging 17.2 points, 7.4 boards, 3.8 assists, 2.0 blocks, 0.8 steals and 2.4 triples. Green is absolutely rolling and he'll be a valuable asset for his savvy fantasy owners. Rotoworld.com

  • Brandan Wright has a decent game
Brandan Wright scored 14 points on 4-of-7 from the field on Thursday against the 76ers with five rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 16 minutes.

Advice: He had one of his best usage rates of the year, but his shooting percentage actually took a hit. Wright is still worth a look in standard leagues for his output in blocks and field goal percentage. Rotoworld.com

  • Dion Waiters (back) probable for Friday
Dion Waiters (back) went through a full practice on Thursday, and is being listed as probable for Friday's game vs. the Celtics.

Advice: Waiters will continue to come off the bench as the team's sixth man, but coach David Blatt said that Waiters return doesn't necessarily mean rookie Joe Harris won't play significant minutes. Harris played 20 minutes during the Cavs last game, but only managed five points, one 3-pointer, one assist, and one rebound. Harris is not on the radar in almost any league, while Waiters can be viewed with a wait-and-see approach in standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Joe Johnson plays well in losing effort
Joe Johnson played well in a 112-104 losing effort to the Suns on Wednesday with 21 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one 3-pointer.

Advice: He called out his teammates for selfish play, but the Nets still only had 17 dimes on their 35 made field goals tonight. Johnson has seen his usage rate rise to 26.9 before tonight and he's been a mid-round guy in fantasy leagues. He should be a mid-round guy the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com

  • Anthony Morrow explodes for 28 points vs. BOS
Anthony Morrow had his minutes restriction lifted against the Celtics on Wednesday, finishing with 28 points, five rebounds, one assist and four 3-pointers on 11-of-16 from the field.

Advice: He played 31 minutes and the Thunder have made it pretty clear that he'll be a big part of their offense. Morrow scored 10 points in his 14-minute debut on Tuesday and he should be able to flirt with 20 points per game with multiple treys until OKC gets some guys back. He should be owned in all standard leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Rudy Gobert quiet again in loss to Hawks
Rudy Gobert played just 12 minutes for three points, three rebounds, a steal and three blocks on Wednesday.

Advice: Gobert has scored a total of eight points and grabbed just nine rebounds in his last three games. Yes, he's blocking a few shots, but as long as Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors are healthy, Gobert's not going to get enough run to be useful in most fantasy leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Derrick Favors plays well in loss to Hawks
Derrick Favors didn't play as well as ex-teammate Paul Millsap on Wednesday, but still had 20 points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks on 9-of-11 shooting.

Advice: Millsap was fired up to play against his former team, but Favors came through tonight. He's having a very good season and if you forget about his one really bad game, he looks like an All-Star. Rotoworld.com

  • Anthony Morrow (knee) could play 30 minutes
Anthony Morrow (knee) will be available to play up to 30 minutes vs. the Celtics on Wednesday.

Advice: He may not get that high, but it's a significant increase after he was limited to 14 minutes in his season debut on Tuesday. His playing time is a threat to starters Jeremy Lamb and Lance Thomas, but the Thunder are still short-handed enough to give all three players substantial minutes. Give Morrow a look if you're in need of scoring and 3-pointers. Rotoworld.com

  • JaVale McGee still has a minutes cap
JaVale McGee still has a minutes restriction.

Advice: He hasn't topped 20 minutes in a game and is just at 13.5 per game on the season. McGee is still blocking 2.0 shots per game in that limited playing time, so he's a low-end specialist in deep leagues. Rotoworld.com

  • Dion Waiters (back) sits practice Wednesday
Dion Waiters (back) sat out of practice on Wednesday.

Advice: Coach Blatt is hopeful that Waiters will be able to practice Thursday at which time we will know more about his status for Friday's game. He was recently moved out of the starting lineup to provide the bench with a scoring punch and it will interesting to see how he bodes in his new role. If he can't play on Friday, expect more minutes from Shawn Marion and possibly rookie Joe Harris. Rotoworld.com
